The Island: Part one

Riok came too very slowly, he could feel something periodically going over his legs and his upper body seemed like it was on some form of sand. Around the muscular black scaled dragon, with a red scar running down over his right of his two cyan coloured eyes, was nothing but ocean behind him, sand in front of him and a dense jungle beyond that.
Nearby he could see Dianos, a Sangheili and one of his good friends.
Dianos had dark blue skin and midnight black eyes, he was quite well built and stood 6.9ft tall. Surprised and intrigued by the sound and foot, Riok looked up and down the beach. The beach was easily half a kilometre long, ten or so meters from the sea to the beginning of the sand and behind the sand was a sheer wall of jungle.
Palm trees leaned over the sand, huge leafed plants obscured the interior of the island, exotic lizards and jungle creatures could be seen if one was willing to open their eyes and the sun high above them was bathing the island in a hot, but not burning hot, light as it seemed to be just after noon. All around him was what many people would dream of as an island paradise.
Riok closed his eyes and looked up, letting the heat of the sun caress his face and the sounds of the crashing surf and jungle creatures as they called out quietly and infrequently to each other.

Right now they were all in a circle and the middle circle was left empty.

"Look, we can leave formalities until we're safe, my team is still out cold, we're lost on an island and we've got no food or supplies. I say we make some shelter and talk once we know we'll be ok. Diamond, Inferno and the Stalker all nodded their agreement.
"I'll look for some shelter, Diamond you go with Inferno to try and find anyone else and Stalker...not to sound disrespectful or anything...go stalk some food for us in you can find any."
Everyone moved out on their respective jobs and Riok pulled Dianos into the shade of the tree line before moving away.
