Ok after taking a loooong break, I'm finally going to get back to writing a little bit. I've been really busy with work and school so I haven't had the chance to do anything. As of right now, I'm writing with a broken hand, so excuse any mistakes or anything...

Ha, actually before I start writing I'd just like to point out the odd sense of opening my notebook after all these months. It's weird seeing my doodles and ideas on paper again. It feels like I froze time in my little world, only to have it resume the instance I began typing.

I strongly recommend reading the first 3 chapters before this one.

Anyways, part 4-

This is the third time I've woken up in Miko's bed. It's an odd feeling this is; to be happy, to actually be happy with my life.

I tilted my head back and strained my neck to peer out the window. The sun wasn't up yet. I looked back down to Miko's face. Seeing his smile, seeing him happy made me even happier. I don't know how to even begin to describe it. It's like all I want to do is to make him happy, and I get satisfaction from doing it. Is this love? I don't know, but I'm not complaining.

I brushed the back of hand along Miko's cheek, which caused him to stir. I wanted to lie in this blissful moment forever, and just take in the sights and sounds of him sleeping so peacefully. I had so many things on my mind to ponder on, however. That armor clad figure from last night was the last member of the house I had yet to meet.

Who was he?

This thought caused my mind to wander further. Was I now the eighth member of the Hospice House? And what did Boss mean by "for now"? The meeting is supposed to take place in a few hours and I still hadn't the slightest idea of what the meeting was about, how I am supposed to act, or what I'm even supposed to wear!

Miko moaned as he stretched out. His arms wrapped around me as he relaxed them. I met his one open eye as it blinked sleepily at me. "Wot are you doin' up alredy?" Miko asked. I moved my gaze to the stained glass in the center of the ceiling as I relaxed into Miko's grip. "Just thinking," I said, "about the meeting and what's going to happen from now on." Miko sat up in a flurry and I quickly checked his face to see what was the matter. "OH!" he gasped. His mix-matched eyes blinked quickly as our gazed locked. "We have a few thins to do." Miko stated as he slid out of bed. I caught a glimpse of his pink member before catching the full view of his pert little butt. I propped myself up on my elbow and just smiled.

What did I do to deserve him?

Miko slid open his closet and began searching through the assorted boxes on the top shelf. I couldn't see very well but the sound of so many boxes moving, and the dust that began to invade my nostrils told me that he was digging deeply for something. "What are you looking for?" I roused as I laid back down and closed my eyes. "Stupid Boss." Miko spat.

I looked up at Miko inquisitively. "Huh?" I asked.

Miko looked over his shoulder at me. It was hard to tell, but he looked flustered. "Oh, nothing. It's jus' he didn give you a cloak and you need one. I dun know why... twad-trad-ition." He explained. Miko finally finished rummaging and came back down with a box. The box was about the size of a normal shoebox, but it was crafted out of a deep colored wood. I'm pretty sure it's cherry.

Do they have cherries here?

"Com ere!" Miko said as he pulled the cloak out of the box. I climbed out of bed and stepped towards Miko until we were face to face. "You jus' wear it over your shoulders like this." Miko said as he draped the cloak around me. I looked down at the metal clasps that hung over my shoulders and pressed against my chest. They were heavy and cold to the touch, and as I tried to latch the two ends together, it felt as if something was missing. "I don't think this is right..." I trailed off as I looked up to Miko.

Miko started to giggle uncontrollably. "No no! You wear it over ya clothes!" He blurted out as he grabbed at his sides. I started to blush as I retorted, "That's not what I meant! ...the things don't connect or something..." Miko looked down and finally realized what I meant. "Oh, you need the medal." He said.

The pendant?

I knelt down and grabbed the package that contained the suit I had received last night. I slid the top off slowly as I admired the shiny surface of the pendant. "So I need this?" I asked as I turned to Miko, who just nodded. I picked up the smooth metal object and traced the castle-like structure embossed on the face. There was a small hole drilled through the coin length-wise so that it could be worn on a chain, and on the back side, there were two small notches engraved on either side.

I brought the medallion up to one of the clasps and noticed that the coin slid in perfectly. There was a barely audible click as the object was pushed to a stop. The other clasp fastened onto the opposite half of the coin so that cloak was held together. The whole clasping mechanism was now a diamond shape with the metal circle at its center.

Heh that's cool

"Jolee I'm not going to argue with you on this matter anymore!" Boss growled. "You know as well as I do how much this house relies on Miko. We haven't been able to take any serious offers since he got like that!"

Jolee huffed and sat back down. "It's a disgrace." She muttered.

Boss rubbed his forehead and then leaned back into his chair, his arms crossed. "Well," he started, "the boy does have some ability, and he's making Miko smile. When was the last time you saw Miko smile -I mean actually smile?"

"Yeah." Jolee sighed, seemingly lost in thought.

"All I'm saying," Boss continued, "if he doesn't work out as a shadow, we can still keep him around for Miko's sake. He deserves that much."

Jolice, who had been listening quietly, cleared his throat. "I like the kid. I still haven't had the chance to say a word to him, but I like him." Jolice paused a second as if in thought. "It's just..." the panther resumed, "I don't want The Storm to be baby sittin the kid all the time, you know?"

"We'll send him off to third main for training." Boss said quickly. "We'll send Miko with him so there'll be no mistake with our involvement in this matter."

"Keita," Boss said to no one in particular, "I want you to..."

****

Keita nodded as he lay in his bed on the other side of the house. Lately, it was getting harder and harder to listen to Boss. "After this." He assured himself.

****

"...e have enough time for this?" I managed to breathe out.

Miko grinned mischievously at me. "We'll be fine as lon as you dun make a mess."

As long as I don't make a mes -ughhngg!?

I couldn't collect my thoughts fast enough to process what was happening until I opened my eyes. "Miko you're amazing." I moaned out. Miko's eyes open to meet mine as he smiled around my dick in his mouth. It wasn't the first time he'd given me head, but this was the first time he was purring while doing it. The sensation was so deep and pleasureful, I didn't know how long I could last like this. It was such a surreal experience watching Miko take my glistening member in his mouth so lovingly. He bobbed expertly up and down while he massaged my balls in his other hand. The sensation of his fur tickling my bare skin only heightened the experience.

My head was beginning to swell, I had to grab onto something. The bed was too wide. I couldn't reach the headboard. In a last ditch effort, I grabbed Miko's ears. As I grabbed a hold of his ears, Miko inhaled deeply and then forced his nose down into my bush as he sucked harder.

"That's it." I groaned out

I held Miko's head firmly as I came hard into his mouth and down his throat. Relaxing my grip, I melted into the bed as I tried to catch my breath. Miko finished nursing on my softening shaft before straddling my midsection. I could feel the warmth of his body and the dampness of his fur. He had really gotten himself worked up over me. I smiled as I forced my eyes open to look up at him. His gold and yellow eyes were both glazed over with lust as he looked down at me.

Is he not done?

I reached out and grabbed his cat cock that was pulsing above my chest. "Did you want me to take care of this for you?" I asked.

Miko shook his head no. "I jus' wan you to stay." He said as he laid over and rest his chin on my shoulder. "I dun know wot Boss will have you do after the meeting." "And I dun know wot you would do if you knew ab..." Miko stopped as he looked to the door.

"What? About what?" I asked.

****

Keita leaned against the wall outside of Miko's door. He smiled to himself as he pushed the door open.

****

The door opened as light flooded into the room. In a panic, I grabbed as much of the comforter as I could to cover myself, while Miko made no attempt to cover his erection.

"Keita!" Miko yelled, "You could at least waited until you heard us get dressed!"

Keita quickly turned his back to us. "I could have," he began, "But, no matter how well my ears heed your lustful cries, they don't do the eyes justice." Keita peered over his shoulder and shot me a sly smirk. "Boss wishes for you help him choose one." He said as he shut the door behind him.

One what?

Miko slid off of me and stood at the edge of the bed. He scratched the back of his head before turning to me. "He means well most of th' time." He said with a smile as he offered me his hand. "We gotta get dressed anyways."

"...Yeah" I said as I took Miko's hand.

I must have been bright red. I wasn't just embarrassed that Keita came in and saw us like that. It was the thought that Keita knew everything we had done and said over the last couple of days. My mind wandered more and more as I put on the tight leather armor. "What does he think we he hears us doing it?" I thought. "Or does he get off on it?" I felt kind of dirty thinking about things like that with Miko in the same room.

I finished buckling the armor up and threw the cloak over my head and noticed how easily it fell into place. "You'll need this too." Miko insisted as he handed me one of those steely masks I had run from the day before. I hesitated at first, but I nodded as I took it from his hand. The mask buckled tightly to my face, but not tight enough as to be uncomfortable. I pulled the hood on the cloak over my head and noted how perfectly it fit.

"All of that stuff's mine so I thought it'd fit you fine." Miko said.

I'll say

We both stood in silence before I built up enough courage to ask. I looked right at Miko as I pulled the mask up over my face. "Miko," I began, "What did he mean by 'help me choose one?'" Miko turned away from me. "You'll need one." He said quietly.

"One what?" I asked.

"One of those." He declared as he pointed to his wall of weapons. "Boss wants you to know how to use one."

I sat down on the bed as I stared down the weapons. If I'm going to be with Miko, I'll have to become a thief.

I'll have to learn to kill ...or be killed

I've seen enough movies and anime to know the general strengths of weaknesses of the various weapons (or so I thought). I swept across the weapons with my eyes. Daggers are fast and agile but have limited power. I lack the physical strength to wield a mace or pole arm. Axes usually leave you vulnerable to attacks if you miss, or if you're fighting more than one person at a time. I'm pretty sure a staff is useless. I pointed the sickle-like things in the middle and looked at Miko.

"You wan the kamas?" Miko asked as if surprised.

I shook my head. "Na I was just wondering what they were."

A short sword wouldn't be too bad. That saber would offer more protection I guess. I glanced at the shield under the saber. I doubt I could hold that shield up long enough to attack anyone. I continued down the wall and stopped at a pair of swords. One was a large, long sword with an oversized blade. I think I recognized it from a game or something. Some guy with spiky hair used it I think. The other sword looked like a Japanese sword. Perfect. A two handed sword would give me a long range, a strong attack, and a solid defense.

I stood up and walked over to the wall before grabbing the sword off its rack. It was much lighter than I had anticipated. The scabbard was a deep ebony and the hilt was leather-wrapped in an equally rich black.

"I was hopin you'd pick that." Miko said cheerfully, "It'd be easy to teach you how to use it." Miko grabbed the sword and walked around behind me. After adjusting a few of the straps on the back of my leather armor, Miko created enough slack to slide the scabbard in between a few of the leather loops so that the sword rest on my back. "Dun worry about usin it right now." He said. "I'll teach ya when we get back kay?"

I nodded at Miko. "Ok, so now..."

"Now! ...it's time to get going!" Jolice exclaimed as he barged into the room. His frantic smile faded slightly as he noticed Miko was completely nude. "You really need to get ready Miko," Jolice said as he covered his eyes, "but you look pretty good kiddo." Jolice gave me a thumbs up with his free paw as he started to back out the door way. Jolice paused before he left the room completely. "How long has 'he' been here?" He asked, his smile now missing.

He?

Reading Miko's face didn't lead me to any answers; Miko was too busy scowling at Jolice. Jolice stepped out of the doorway quickly and shrugged, "Nevermind, "he said.

What was that about?

I quickly walked over and shut the door. "Doesn't stuff like that bother you Miko?" I asked.

Miko tilted his head inquisitively. "Why? People see me naked all the time," he said flatly.

I sighed, "And you don't see a problem with that?"

A shrug? He's so innocent, it's painful.

"Miko, can I ask you something?"

"Kay."

"I don't want to seem rude or nosey or anything like that, but how old are you?"

"Dunno."

"You don't know? Pft. What? Did you run out of fingers or something like that?"

"Ya, a while ago."

Ugh

"Well what about toes?"

"Gone."

"Gone? You mean you used all of those too?"

Miko just smiled back at me before going back to getting dressed.

Lets see... five fingers on each paw... and four toes on each foot. He's eighteen? Is he older than me?

"M-Miko did you count your tail too?" I asked, unsure of myself.

"Ya." Miko stood up after putting both his boots on and looked at me. "Why?"

Holy shit, he's older than me but he looks like he fifteen or sixteen!

"Muh hae mme a ugh ake tla e man e auje." Miko said.

This whole time I've been on a statutory rape guilt trip, and this whole time he was older than me.

I looked at Miko. I just couldn't see it.

HOW are you older than me? But, if you ran out of things to count...exactly how old are you?

"Op dot nid mnoa uyd a re astra", the feline continued, "duo it og fup na."

Maybe years are shorter here. Like... the planet is slower? Or something. I never did pay attention in class.

"ltoEY!" Miko shouted, "are ya comin?" He was completely dressed, and was already half way out the door when I came to my senses.

"How long was I spacing out?" I asked sheepishly.

"Spacin? Out?" he asked.

I held my hand up in defense. "Nevermind. So where are we off to anyways?"

****

Miko explained that we were traveling to an area called the Trader's Square. He wasn't too effective at pinpointing where it was, but I understood the gist of it. There was a large street that connected first and second main in the business district, and within the center of this district, there was another road that ran perpendicular. The area was THE hotspot for merchants and restaurants. We are apparently going to a small theatre the Shadows run. It's considered neutral ground among the houses and is used to hold meetings and what not.

There was an odd sense of awe in the air as we marched double file down the center of the street. Some people stood on their steps and simply nodded as we walked by, as if showing approval or thanks. Others ran to their homes and barricaded the doors. Children pointing, shadowing figures slipping further into alleys, everyone reacted differently but not as if this was uncommon. I tried not to single myself out as we paraded along, but I couldn't keep my eyes from wondering nor my head from swiveling. I nearly choked all at once. He was there, looking directly at me. He was a large man that stood nearly seven feet tall and had a scowl on his face as his eyes stared me down. The uniform he wore resembled a guard's outfit; bright red with blue accents and gold fringe over his shoulders that continued down his arms to his cuffs. I nudged Miko who was on my left, when I noticed the man was ready to draw brightly polished sword.

Miko looked at me, and then focused to the man beyond me. "It's jus' a royal guard," Miko said in a hushed tone, "he can't do anything."

I looked back to the guard, who was now a step closer and had his sword draw. "Miko!" I whispered harshly.

Miko placed his paw on my chest to stop me. The other members in our group continued walking in unison as if nothing had happened. "Stay here." He commanded.

I watched impatiently as Miko sauntered over to the guard. When I expected Miko to stop, he kept walking closer. He was too close.

Miko what are you doing!

I looked down the street to find the rest of our party: They were out of sight now.

My eyes trained back to Miko, who was still inching closer. Then, when he was forced to look nearly strait up at the man, Miko stopped. The guard quickly readied his stance and swung his sword downward, but he stopped in an instant. Miko had pulled back his mask. The guard's expression registered completely; absolute terror.

What happened?

Without saying a word, Miko pulled his mask back down over his face and slowly turned to walk back to me. When Miko had finally rejoined me, I pulled him tightly to my side as we walked. "What was that about?" I asked frantically. "He knows me well." He said. His voice was a cold tone that I'd never heard from him before. As we passed under an archway to the main business district street, I heard a distinct clank from behind us. I looked back in time to see the guard huddled over on his hands and knees; his sword on the cobblestones next to him.

****

By the time we had finally reached Trader's Square, I had completely forgotten about the guard we had encountered. I was too enthralled by the sights and sounds around me. We passed what seemed to be a church or small cathedral, and there had been a choir singing inside. There were people everywhere: in the streets, huddled along the shop windows, crammed into the shops themselves, even people on the roofs. Signs lined the street on either side, and brightly colored banners were strung across the buildings overhead. It was early in the morning, yet the city already seemed so alive here. There was what looked like a middle-aged male lion selling a 'miracle cure' from the back of his cart in the east corner. What I picked up from listening to the city-folk along the way, it was common, if not expected to haggle on everything.

We didn't haggle the other day when we paid that bill, or even when we got lunch. Miko left a pretty hefty tip now that I think about. I wonder if that was ru... -Oops!

Miko had stopped suddenly and I managed to slam right into him.

I hesitated to respond as I stared at the back of his head, "Sorry, I was'n"

"This guy's the one that made th' sword you're carryin'."Miko interrupted. His voice was pleasantly cheerful again.

The guy in question was an older human male. He was on a stage in the middle of the square, obviously giving a public demonstration of his cutlery. There were rows of knives and hatchets, and a few specialized tools off to the side.

"I don't see any swords or anything," I said to Miko as he turned to look at me.

"Willuame don't make swords anymore," he replied. "Come on, it's jus' ahead."

I followed Miko around the stage and crowd to the other side of the square. There was a large three story house on the corner of an intersection. The house looked almost Victorian in style, with the oversized rounded porch and the large pointed dome that sat above the third story corner window. The color scheme allowed the building to stand out even more. The two sides that faced the square were painted a bright green -the first of houses I'd seen thus far. The stones that outlined the windows were a salmon, the roof was a cool slate blue, and the bright yellow door completed the clashing color scheme.

You'd be blind to miss something like this

My eyes followed the far corner of the building from the roof down as we approached it. My eyes stopped at the sign hanging above the side door.

Oh please no.

"~Belleforte Little Theatre~" The sign read.

Behind the theatre was a courtyard that had been fenced in with a high stone wall. The only way in seemed to be the large metal gate we were approaching. "Are we really going in this place?" I pleaded as Miko stopped at the gate. "Ya," Miko replied, "They're already waitin' on us." We paced through the courtyard and rounded the corner to the only side of the house that couldn't be seen from the square. There was a small stone crypt apart from the house.

Oh you're kidding.

Miko looked back to me. "There's no light 'til we get to tha bottom," he announced as he held out his furry paw. "So just hold on to me kay?"

I nodded as I took Miko's hand. I missed this.

Miko gripped the iron ring on the front of the crypt and heaved the stone door open. "It's spring loaded," he informed me as the door shut firmly behind us. What limited vision the mask gave me earlier, was now completely lost. The steps were high and steep. I would have fallen on the uneven stones if Miko hadn't been there to lean on. The narrow stairwell had a deep, rich, earthy smell; the walls were damp and it was getting colder the lower we descended. When the steps had concluded, we found ourselves staring down a cold iron door. There was a low light escaping the cracks under and around the door.

Miko raised his furry fist and hesitated a moment before pounding out three definite beats on the door. I heard a quiet mechanical sound before a slot in the door slid open to flood the stairwell with light. The slot was just large enough to see a mask peering at us from the other side of the door.

"Who's there?" Demanded a steely voice.

"The Storm." Miko responded as if the words caused him discomfort.

The slot slammed shut. The sound of a large deadbolt was heard sliding back and the metal door ground open. "Ah Miko! It's been a while since you made your way out here." Elated the masked figure, "Is this him?" he asked.

Miko looked back at me before replying. "Yeah."

"Nice ta meet ya," The doorman said as he extended his furry hand. His paw was thinner than anyone else's I had seen so far. My mind raced as I reached out to shake it. There was something cold in my hand.

Whats this?

I pulled my hand back and quickly grabbed the back of his paw to turn it over. There was a pearl-like orb that was implanted in the palm of his hand. It was about two inches across and the surface seemed to undulate continuously.

"Ah he's jumpy huh Miko?" He laughed. "We'll get to this later," he said "They're waiting."

I followed the doorman down the torch-lit stone hallway. We passed two wooded doors on our left, and there was one larger door on our right. The door at the end was already cracked open. The fur in front of us opened the door and the low murmur silenced as I entered.

The figure at the center of the crescent-shaped table stood up. "Miko, You have guard duty," Boss commanded.

I turned to look at Miko, but he was already shutting the door behind himself. As I turned back to Boss and the rest of the table, I noted there were ten 'people' sitting at the table including the doorman that just took his seat. All the chairs were occupied, and here I was standing right at the focal point. Everyone was dressed in the same leather armor and cloak combo except the familiar plate wielding character from last night. The full helmet was a far cry from the steel masks I was used to seeing. I could guess what breed a few of the figures were based on the augmentation of their masks. The two on the end looked familiar.

"Ok," Boss began as he pulled his mask up, "We have a few that need to leave right away so I'll get the ball rolling." Boss looked around uneasily as he rubbed the back of his head. "Eh, well, it's been a couple years since we've had anyone new down here. I'm not really sure where to begin." Boss grinned widely as someone next to him sighed loudly.

"Uh let's see," Boss continued as he straitened his face, " Welcome to the Shadow of Neulith. Before you ask, the name doesn't mean anything."

Question one down...

Boss paused a second to let his statement sink in. "Now then," he said, "Although you passed all the tests, you're a special case and require more training. You b.."

One of the members at the table looked at Boss quickly, back to me, and then finally settling on Boss again."But Boss! he didn.." Jolee interrupted.

"Sit quiet Jolee!" Boss roared. "Do not let your personal feelings interfere with the well-being of the House."

There were a few quiet seconds before Boss sat down and meshed his paws together on the table before sighing to himself. "Now then, present yourself." Boss commanded as he looked down at Jolee.

I pulled my mask back and looked at Jolee on the end of the table.

Jolee raised her mask over her ears as she stood up. I could tell her face was flushed although she was looking down at the table. "Jolee Tremell. Bows," she said sharply before pulling her mask back down.

Nodding quickly, I changed my glance to the next in line at the table.

The cloaked person next to Jolee stood up. "Jolice Tremell," Jolice announced proudly, showing off his confident smile as he pulled his mask up. "I'm your eyes and axes."

"I'm sure you're well aware of their abilities and that they are twin siblings, " Boss commented as he waved his wrist at the pair. Boss stood up and scooted along the back of the chairs until he came to the third member from the end. "This, Boss introduced, "Is Uru. We don't talk about Uru. We don't see Uru. We don't know Uru. Understand?"

I nodded slowly as I looked at the mysterious fur.

Boss continued to talk as he moved back to his seat: "These three have a covert mission and we'll be leaving for the airship dock immed...iately..."

Boss paused and the rest of the room trained their eyes to Uru as he stood up.

"Uru?" Boss asked aloud.

Uru paid no attention to Boss as he deftly jumped over the table and calmly walked towards me. My heart began to pound as he placed his thumb and forefinger on the nose of his mask. Subconsciously, I began slowing time down; I could hear my heartbeat slowing down as the rest of the room seemed dead quiet.

Black fur.

Slowly, the face was revealed. The black fur came first, followed by the obviously canine jaw line. I don't remember seeing the rest of the face. My focus was on the bright green, glowing eyes that were staring back. I couldn't find an expression on his face.

Time returned to normal as I flinched at the wolf's touch. His hand wrapped around my wrist as he leaned his muzzle to my ear. I felt his hot tongue lick my ear lobe before he spoke breathily -quiet enough so that only I heard him, "I enjoyed the show last night. Maybe I could join in next time."

I couldn't see the face behind his mask, but Keita was struggling to restrain himself at the table. He heard everything.

Uru squeezed my wrist tightly before releasing his grip and stepping back to face me. I caught a glimpse of a cocksure smirk as he pulled his mask back over his muzzle and slowly faded. He appeared to be invisible, but I could clearly feel his presence as he stepped around me and made his way to the door.

My eyes widened when Uru's words finally registered.

Oh my God. Did Miko know he was there?

The large iron door slowly opened, and then slammed shut with an echoing clang.

"Welp!" Jolice said as the room had finally become quiet, "Come on Jolee, we gotta go."

"Right," Jolee agreed as she walked by without giving a glance.

Jolice walked towards me as Jolee opened the door.

Huh?

I realized that Jolice was snapping his fingers in front my face. "Don't let him get to ya kiddo," he consoled me, "I'll keep an eye on him for ya." Jolice's yellow eyes appeared as if they were beginning to be injected with a red fluid as he smiled down at me. As the panther turned to walk away, I grabbed his arm.

"Jolice," I asked, "Can you see through things with those?"

He hesitated before replying, "Yeah... why?" His face looked flustered.

What a dick.

I let go of his arm and punched him in the shoulder.

Jolice's face contorted slightly. "I deserved that a little I guess," he said, "but don't worry about Uru ok?"

I nodded as Jolice turned to leave the room with Jolee. The iron door slammed shut with a loud clank that echoed off the stone walls. Boss cleared his throat and I turned to face him.

"Well then," he commented, "Anything you'd like to share with the rest of the class?"

Ok, I'm not sure why I stopped there. There's a lot more I wanted to say and do, but it'll wait for the next chapter. I'm sure the writing is really rough and what not, but I'm not out to write a novel here.
