Chapter 5: Healing and Helping

Thankfully, the Burn Heal worked. It didn’t get rid of the scar that came after, but it got rid of the worst of the throbbing pain almost right away, and the rest gradually faded over an hour or two. He hadn’t expected something like that to work as well as it did, considering that it was made for Pokémon, but he wasn’t going to complain about it. Not when he’d almost gotten his face blown off, and would have, if he hadn’t been warned about the incoming attack.

He sat down outside the Pokémon Center, occasionally rubbing the bandage over his cheek. Jared kept forgetting that it was there, then he’d brush it, and the pressure on the burn beneath would give him a hell of a reminder. He grunted every time, shaking his head, and the police – because of course, someone finally called them – loomed over him with narrowed eyes.

“And you’re sure that this man was the same one that robbed Professor Elm’s lab?” one of them asked.

“Yeah. How many times do I have to say it?” Jared muttered, shaking his head. “It’s not like there’s a lot of people with bright red hair and a black coat running around, is there?”

“No, but you didn’t get his name, did you?”

“Why the hell would that matter?”

“It’s the main way that we identify –”

“Oh for fuck’s sake…”

Jared rubbed his forehead, taking a few deep breaths. At least Totodile wasn’t out and about right now; he didn’t know if he’d be able to take what the little croco-saur would be doing to try and help him relax. Hell, he wasn’t sure that he wouldn’t go to jail if the little guy came out and tried to ‘help.’

“Look. I’m trying to tell you what happened. If you don’t believe me, then you don’t believe me, but I’m telling you that was the same guy that robbed Professor Elm’s lab. Same red hair, same black coat, same fucking Cyndaquil that he stole from the lab in the first place.”

“Yes, but did you get his name?” the other officer said.

Jared stuffed a fist in his mouth to keep from screaming, leaning forward as if in pain. It worked well enough to keep them from questioning him, at least.

The only thing keeping him from getting arrested right then and there was the fact that there had been a dozen witnesses to what happened, and all of them had seen what that thug had been doing to the Cyndaquil before the fight started. They had told the cops that he had jumped in after the red-head had abused his Pokémon, though only when he was on the verge of being arrested already. They’d tried to take his Pokémon, too, and that had gone about as well as one might expect.

That was why he was sitting there, still talking to them, rather than walking down the road or trying to figure out what to do next. They were almost ready to give his Pokémon back, but they were still hesitating.

“Look. Let me remind you, I’m not the one that kicked a Pokémon, and I’m not the one whose Pokémon attacked a person. Neither of those things were my fault.”

“…I suppose that’s true,” one officer said.

“You really should have made sure to get a name before attacking someone, though. You can’t always expect us to be understanding.”

“…I’ll try and keep that in mind,” he said through clenched teeth, glaring at the both of them.

“I suppose we can let you go. But with a warning. And if we ever find out that you are attacking other trainers without provocation again –”

Again? There hasn’t been a first time yet!

“You will lose your Pokémon permanently. Do you understand?”

“…”

“I said, do you understand?”

“Yes. I understand.”

“Good. Here.”

And so they finally handed over his pokéballs. He made sure that they were the right ones – it just seemed the sort of thing for cops to do, to change them out if they didn’t believe him – and then hung them from his belt again. The cops gave him one long, hard look, then went back to their motorcycles, driving off. The revving engines cut through the peaceful air of Violet City, and he could hear the squawks of disturbed bird Pokémon further down the path, some flocks taking to the skies.

All that mattered to him was that he had his Pokémon back, and he sighed as he ran his fingers over the balls. That had been a lot closer than it should have been, and he honestly wasn’t sure if he would be able to trust luck like that again. He had expected utter stupidity from the cops – all things considered, the cops were idiots in Kanto, too – but this was something that baffled the mind.

Team Rocket would have a field day out here, and probably were, somewhere.

Alright…I’m now looking like a thug myself, so it’s time to start getting some respectability back. That means acting more like the average trainer.

Jared doubted that he could pull that level of idiocy as an act, so failing that, he’d have to try out one of the gyms. Violet City had one, as far as he knew, and judging by the motif all around him, it was probably something involving the birds. He rubbed his forehead again, trying to sort through what he remembered from when he was in that organization. For all that they were focused on…breeding…they had also been type-matching, seeing if there was a way to put something together that had none of the weaknesses and all of the strengths.

Flying. That’s strong against Grass, Fighting, and Bugs… That put Bellsprout out of the running to fight them, and Pidgey would only be able to match up with them, meet them, not beat them. Even Totodile wouldn’t be great for it, but he’d probably be better than the others, able to use Water Gun and other moves that would take the opponent down from a distance rather than just chase them down and peck at them.

Not the best sort of arrangement…I’ll have to actually train them if I want to have a chance.

He glanced at the road that led back out to the east, the road he’d followed to get there. He knew for a fact that there were plenty of wild Pokémon out there, all of them looking for a fight.

…This is gonna suck.

#

Spending the afternoon training was not an experience that he had anticipated, nor was it one that Jared looked forward to repeating, though he knew that was going to happen as his journey went on. Considering that trainers were supposed to fight each other, he knew that the gym leaders, at the very least, would demand that he use his Pokémon rather than his fists. And…well, despite his best wishes on the matter, he probably should start using Totodile against the punk instead of running up and punching him in the face.

Even if punching him is a hundred times more satisfying, he thought with a grunt as he trundled back into town.

He had a bruise along his cheek, and three cuts along his arm. Finding some of the higher-level Bellsprouts hadn’t gone well for him, and some of them had been strong enough to use Vine Whip. After seeing what had happened to Totodile when the first attack hit the little croco-saur, he’d jumped into the fray and blocked the rest.

It hadn’t gone very well for him, either. His arm still ached.

As he limped towards the Pokémon Center, he could feel the eyes of the average townsfolk on him. He knew that they were probably wondering what in the fuck that he had done out of town to get messed up like this. He just hoped that none of them started asking questions. The last thing he needed to do was explain himself.

Walking into the Pokémon Center, he put the three pokéballs on the counter. The nurse looked at him, then at the balls, and then back.

“Who’s worse?” she asked.

“Me.”

“Well…at least you’re putting yourself on the line for them. Not many do that, these days,” she said, the redhead gathering up the three balls. “If you want to take a seat, I can get you some bandages in a minute.”

“You got any painkillers?”

“A few over the counter ones.”

“If you don’t mind…”

“Alright. Just take a seat.”

He nodded, groaning as he found one of the seats and got comfortable. He leaned his head back, letting the wall support it as he stared at the ceiling. His throat felt dry, though his voice was thankfully still okay. Surprisingly, after shouting out orders to tackle this, whip that, and who knew what else.

Grumbling, he rested one hand over his face, taking a few deep breaths as he tried to calm down and get comfortable. It wasn’t going well, particularly as his arm still burned and his face felt like it had been cut up with a knife. That Pidgey had been an absolute bastard when he got in the way of that thing.

“Heh. Looks like you got in a fight with a Scyther and lost.”

He opened one eye, looking at the speaker. Someone in a black coat that covered the rest of their clothes walked around him, sitting down. Jared didn’t follow him; instead, he kept staring straight ahead.

“So, what have you found out so far?” the stranger asked.

“And you are?”

“Heh, you need the passcode? Fine. Scylla.”

That was the one. He rubbed his forehead, covering his eye again as he muttered quietly under his breath.

“There’s something going on out here. Breeders are involved, for sure.”

“Anything else?”

“They’ve figured out about the eggs; Professor Elm knows that it’s possible now, and so does Professor Oak.”

“Hmmm, that might complicate things. Anything else?”

“Someone’s gotten around the sync problem that the other group had.”

Silence, as he guessed there might be. Jared had always wondered if there was proof that there was anyone operating out here, or if the agency that was running him was just working off a hunch. This confirmed that this was an investigation for a what as much as it was an investigation of a how or who.

“You’ll continue your little charade. When you get down to Azalea Town, talk to Kurt. He’s one of ours; you can trust him.”

“And what the hell do you want me to tell him?”

“Whatever you find out on the way.”

He heard the new guy get up and walk out of the center, and Jared grumbled under his breath, trying to ignore the stinging ache in his cheek. The more that he thought about it, the less that he liked it.

Whoever this Kurt was, he doubted that they would be able to do much. He hadn’t seen any real intelligence in the people of Johto so far, and while there were some decent ones – the townsfolk here were willing enough to stand up for him with the cops – there weren’t that many bright ones.

Whoever was running this ridiculous operation was going to have a field day until he was able to find them. And that…

Well, that might not be as hard as he thought, actually. He might not have the direct human witness anymore – who knew where that scientist had been taken in this region – but he did have the victim, still. And more to the point, he could understand said victim, even if he couldn’t directly act on any evidence that he shared.

“Sir?”

He moved his hand again, looking up at the nurse as she stood over him. She had a tray with a bandage and some pills in a cup, and Jared nodded his thanks. Taking the cup first, he tossed them back, then started unrolling the bandages.

“Not that it’s any of my business, but what exactly did you run into for…those?” she asked.

“A bunch of Bellsprout and one very territorial Pidgey.”

“…”

“I didn’t like how the Bellsprout were whipping Totodile around.”

“Why didn’t you just call him back?”

“See, when you say that, I sound stupid.” He shook his head. “Sometimes I just do things without thinking. I haven’t been a trainer that long, and I worried about missing him when I called him back.”

“I see. Well, be careful; the Pokémon around here are strong, but they only get stronger the further you travel.”

“No shit…”

“You won’t just be able to take it from some of them, you know.”

“I know.”

When she tried to warn him again, he gave her as hard a look as he could. Either it worked to tell her that he didn’t want to talk anymore, or she was annoyed enough to just leave it at that. At any case, she walked away, taking the bandages with her

Jared shook his head, finally feeling a bit of relief as he covered the cut on his face and the marks on his arm. At least they were not hurting as much. His leg was probably going to take longer to heal – he’d been tackled by a Geodude right in the knee, and while it was more than bruised, it wasn’t enough to need further medical attention right then – and he did not look forward to any travel for a while.

He must have fallen asleep, because the next thing he knew, the nurse was back with his Pokémon. She made sure that he was ready to take them, gave him a curt nod, and then went back to her post.

Something tells me that I’m not getting a free room tonight, he thought, grunting as he got to his feet. Well…better hit the gym.

#

It worked out better than he expected, though he was a bit embarrassed that he hadn’t been able to reach the leader – some guy named Faulkner – on his first try. The other guys on the way had challenged him again and again, and he was told that he wasn’t allowed to face the leader without defeating the other guys on the way. Not wanting to start another fight, he went back and faced off against the lower-ranking ones.

Lower-ranking in name only, he found out. They were still a challenge, even after the afternoon of training. He beat them, but with how Totodile was panting in exhaustion towards the end, he knew better than to go up against the gym leader. Faulkner would probably wipe the floor with him, particularly with only one Pokémon to fight against the two flyers the big guy had.

He left the gym, going into the trees that surrounded the main buildings of the town. He found one that wasn’t occupied by a house, circling around to the back for some privacy, and he sat down in the roots, getting as comfortable as he could.

The sun wasn’t quite down yet, but the sunset was in the process of fading. The long shadows made it hard to see anything outside of the canopy, and he felt that there was probably enough camouflage to keep him from being seen.

Letting Totodile out of its ball, it immediately started its happy little jibber-jabber, dancing up and down and kicking its feet.

“Hahahaha, out of the ball, yayayayaya.”

“You never get tired of that, do you?”

“Nope!”

The little croco-saur immediately jumped into his lap, nuzzling against his belly and giving him a big cuddle. Or, well, as big a cuddle as the little guy was capable of giving. His head wobbled from side to side against Jared’s stomach, and the human had to fight off the memories of the last time that they were doing this.

I’m not going to repeat what he did in the cave. He’s not going to nibble his way into my pants, and I’m not going to let him get me off with his feet again.

That was what he told himself, and he hoped that he could keep to that particular resolution. Considering the wiggling and bouncing going on, though, he knew that the little croco-saur was going to push his limits.

Hoping to at least slow that down, he put his hand on Totodile’s head, and instantly, the little guy slowed down, sitting still and smiling with his eyes closed. Jared smiled back, rubbing his hand back down along the little guy’s head, petting him. It didn’t take long for his Pokémon to start making sounds that were almost like a rumbling purr, a little more guttural like a bubbling brook, yes, but still happy purr-sounds.

Shaking his head in amusement, he kept up the petting, looking around. Nobody else could be seen, and even when he wiggled enough to lean around the side of the tree and look back towards the treehouses further back, nobody seemed to be taking in the sunset or anything else that might lead them to look his way.

Probably the best time for this.

Looking down at Totodile again, he gently picked his Pokémon up. Shifting his legs a bit so that they were bent up, a little like someone would do before propping a drawing pad on them, he leaned Totodile against them so that they were looking at each other.

“I need to talk to you about the stuff you did with other humans,” he said.

“Oh. You mean, um, the not-good-to-do stuff?”

“Yes. That.”

“Oh. I thought you didn’t want to do that?”

“We aren’t going to do that stuff. But we need to talk about it; some really angry people want me to find them, so that they can be stopped.”

“But why?”

“Because most Pokémon don’t find it fun.”

“…Cyndaquil did cry a lot…”

“Yeah. And most of them would do the same.”

“…”

“I need you to help me understand what happened, where you were, what was done. Do you think you can do that?”

“Well…” Totodile smiled. “What if we made a deal?”

“…What kind of deal?”

“A play deal.”

“…”

“Look, look, don’t put me back in the ball yet,” Totodile said. “You…well, you liked it last time, yeah?”

Jared didn’t answer, but he knew what the answer was. He had actually cum when his Pokémon had helped him over the edge last time, and he knew that Totodile knew that had been easy enough to do. Totodile nodded.

“Yeah, you enjoyed it. You just…you’re scared?”

“…Not in the way that you’re probably thinking.”

“But…Why?”

“Because I’m not supposed to do this,” he hissed. “I’m not supposed to do that sort of thing with Pokémon. It’s not allowed, it’s against the rules –”

“Scared you’ll hurt me?”

Jared winced a bit, once more looking around. Arceus, if anyone ever overheard something like this, particularly his handlers…If it wasn’t for the shelter of the forest canopy over him, he’d swear that they were probably tracking him by Fearow, or worse. As it stood, he had to hope that Mr. Black Coat had been the only one from the organization here, and that he’d already gone off to report to his superiors.

Totodile poked him gently.

“That it? Are you scared you’ll hurt me?” the little guy asked again.

“It’s a big worry, yes,” he muttered. “You’re really small.”

“Yeah, but…I took big things.”

“Why do you want me to do it?” he hissed. “Why do you want me to…’breed’ you?”

“Because it’s fun. And…and you’re not happy. This makes people happy.”

“No, it just makes them – ack! Get your foot away from there.”

Totodile shook its head, leaning back a little and pressing both feet right into his crotch. It crossed its arms, looking away from him.

“No. You aren’t going to hurt me, and you need to relax. And besides, if you can talk to me after you have fun –”

“That doesn’t work that way!”

“Maybe you can talk to the others, too.”

“No, no, no, that’s not how it works.”

“How do you know?”

“You told me. They’re using a Psychic-type to start messing with the way that things work, and they were dosing you with drugs…”

“…”

“…”

“Just me, then?”

“Ugh!”

Grabbing for Totodile’s ball, he almost got it before the little guy went for it, biting down and holding it between his jaws. Jared was surprised at the look on the Pokémon’s face, having expected disappointment, but seeing anger, instead. He blinked, leaning back a little ways from the smaller Pokémon.

Eventually, the Water-type spat the ball out, letting it fall to the ground. He settled back, putting his feet against Jared’s stomach as he crossed his arms again.

“I’ll tell you anything I can, but you have to give me some of what I want, too.”

“I don’t want to hurt you. This is wrong.”

“I want it, and it doesn’t hurt me. You won’t hurt me, and this –” Totodile nudged Jared’s crotch again. “ – isn’t going to hurt me either. I just want you to be happy, and…and I want to be happy, too…”

There was no easy answer here. As much as he was supposed to be the trainer and keeping Totodile safe, helping the little guy get stronger and healthier, it was clear that Totodile had…needs…that most trainers wouldn’t be able to go through with. Most trainers would have given up on him, passed him back, let the police take him away. They’d see him as damaged, and…

Well, damaged Pokémon didn’t do too well unless they found the right trainer for themselves.

Much as it killed him to admit it, there was a part of him that had wondered what it would be like to be a ‘breeder’ with Pokémon. He had wondered how it would feel to have those different types of bodies pressed against him, and…well, he wondered how it would feel to have them want him the way that the ones in heat had wanted some of their trainers. Totodile was giving him a chance to have that and do his job at the same time.

And here he was, freaking out about it, thinking about how it would be perceived by other people…

It’s not right… he thought, looking down at his Pokémon. At least, it’s not right when we’re the ones forcing it, when we’re the ones that are making it happen…

This time, it was entirely the other way around. The little croco-saur was essentially blackmailing him into ‘playing’ with him, and if he didn’t, then he wouldn’t get the information that he needed for his investigation. He honestly wasn’t sure how this had happened, but it was definitely getting out of hand.

He sighed, rubbing his forehead. Totodile looked back at him with one eye, almost cartoonishly, and Jared chuckled before sighing again.

“You’re really not going to back down from this?”

“…N-no?”

“Feeling nervous now?”

“No, just…don’t want you to be mad…or feel bad…”

“Heh. Why do you care about that?”

“Because…”

Totodile reached up, touching his arm where he had been slashed by the various vine whips. It didn’t hurt to be touched, but he tensed slightly anyway, shaking his head. He brushed the little croco-saur’s hand away.

“It’s nothing.”

“It’s a lot. Better for you to hurt than us, yeah?”

Jared nodded.

“Why?”

“Heh…I dunno. Just seems like, I get a choice. You don’t. So, why not choose to get hurt instead of you?”

Totodile hugged him again, and he hugged him back. However, he knew that this was just putting it off, and he knew that he would have to make a decision. Totodile might be feeling nice and cuddly now, but the little guy still seemed to be holding firm on his decision to hold back information. Unless he wanted to find a Psychic type of his own that would be able to rip the information out of Totodile’s head, it seemed that he’d have to give in a bit to the inevitable.

He let go of his Pokémon, reaching down to the button on his pants. The little Water-type grinned.

“You’ll do it?”

“I’m…going to try,” he said. “I might not…”

“Don’t worry. You’ll get it up.”

That was less of what he was worried about, to be honest. He rubbed the side of his face, feeling more than just the scar from the burns earlier, more than just the scratch. He could feel the way that people had looked at him, as someone that was breaking the rules, that wasn’t fitting in just right.

He had never worked well with people. Never had, and he probably never would. Pokémon had been the only ones that he got on with, treating them well, helping them feel better after the breedings that they went through, doing what he could for those that were hurt out on the road: he’d done all that and more, and had hoped that it made up for what he had done before.

Now, he was doing the same thing that the bad guys had done, and he was only hoping that Totodile was being honest with him.

Undoing his pants, he fished out his cock. It was half-up already, the little croco-saur’s feet on his crotch having stirred it back up. It didn’t take long for Totodile to hop off his lap, nudging him to lie down, and as soon as he did, the little guy was back on tip, lifting his tail and bumping his butt back.

“I can’t believe that it’ll actually fit in you,” he muttered.

“Hehehe, I can take bigger things than this.”

“Not how you felt on the road.”

“Hey, it felt even bigger in your pants. Let me show you what I can do.”

Totodile pushed back, and he felt that tight little pucker against the head of his cock. The feeling of the little guy grinding on him was pleasurable enough, but seeing just how tiny the croco-saur was, knowing the size difference between them, left him hissing in anticipation. Particularly as he felt the tightness of that pucker against him, going so far as to feel the little wrinkles of the flesh there.

Arceus, what if he actually does get me inside?

Well, he wasn’t going to have to worry about lasting long then, would he?

Jared bit his lip, clenching his fingers as he stared up at the forest canopy. He kept his mouth clenched tight, not wanting to make a sound that might be overheard by someone passing by. If he could keep himself under control, he’d be fine. If he could just –

“Ah…ah!”

Totodile had shifted its position, its feet running down the sides of his cock and keeping it pointed up, toes nudging his balls. The tip of his cock was perfectly positioned for riding, and he could feel the tip starting to nudge its way in. His Pokémon’s pucker was slowly opening against the pressure, and he gritted his teeth, covering his mouth.

“Almost…almost…”

How…is…this…happening? he thought, unable to keep from squirming. He should be too small. He should be too –

POP!

And with that, they both froze. Jared’s breath caught in his throat, his eyes trying to bug out of their sockets as Totodile managed to get the tip of his dick inside. The feeling of that tightness, the sheer heat, the impossible size difference had his cock tensing up, his balls trying to drag up already.

Holy…

And then the little guy started moving, rocking off his cock before popping him right back in. Then off, then on, off, on, each time pushing him out before sucking him right back in, and then taking a bit more besides. Totodile was huffing, its mouth hanging open and tongue hanging past its teeth as it rode him.

Every thrust squeezed him tighter than his fist ever had, and he knew that he might last a minute, maybe less. Gripping the earth tight so that he didn’t try and grab the little guy, he flattened the back of his head to the ground, whimpering.

“Ah…ah…does…does that feel good…master?” Totodile asked. “Does it feel…good?”

“Oh...oh yeah…”

“Gonna...gonna get...better…”

He wasn’t sure how, but as his Pokemon pushed back, sliding further and further down his shaft, taking an impossible amount of human dick, he knew that his little guy wasn’t exaggerating.

This was probably going to be the best sex of his life, if he didn’t feel guilty about it later.
