Another story with the brothers you love to hate. I made a slight mistake in the posting of my chapters. Family Affairs should be read after 2 souls better then 1. Other then that, Merry X-mas and Happy New year. Comments and critics are always welcomed.

Rick sat up in bed breathing hard, sweat coming down his face. That nightmare came back to haunt him again. It was the same thing, a shadowy figure holding his mother by the throat. Fire was raging all around him as it blocked him from reaching her. Her hands were holding onto the figure's arm trying to get loose but the figure was too strong for her. Her neck went back irregularly as her arms went limp to the side. Rick let out a yell of horror as the figure dropped her into the fire next to his father's body which was blackened by the fire. The figure looked at Rick before turning its back and disappearing into the fire. Rick felt two arms wrap around his waist as he turned his head slightly to the left.

"Bad dream?" Avhi asked holding him.

"You could say that."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Not really."

He got up and went to the bathroom. Running some cold water, he splashed it on his face before looking into the mirror. It had been eighteen years since that night and he swore he would find the person responsible for the murder of his parents. His jade eyes started to brim lightly as a single tear slipped down his cheek.

"I won't rest till I've avenged you."

Walking out, he turned off the light and slipped back into bed. Avhi wrapped her arm around his waist and rested her head on his chest, letting out a soft purr which acted like a lullaby as his eyes got heavy and he fell asleep.

Alucard waited outside for his limo along side Ginyu.

"I shouldn't be gone no more then 3 days at the most."

"Of course I will, Alucard." Ginyu said.

"Make sure you keep everybody in check, including Amon."

"Leave him to me."

A humvee limo turned the corner and pulled up on the curb. The driver got out and opened

the door for Alucard who nodded and proceeded inside.

"Do you wish for the tournament to continue without you?" Ginyu asked.

"Of course, I expect a huge turn out this year."

"Do you want me to post pone our efforts on the Miller's?"

Alucard sat there and rubbed his chin a couple of times.

"They can wait for a couple of days. It's not like they are going anywhere. Remember Ginyu, I'm a business man first and foremost."

"Yes Alucard."

The driver closed the door as Alucard rolled the window down.

"Oh yeah, increase the winnings for the winner an extra five thousand."

"Twenty-five thousand dollars? Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Most definitely, it'll make people show their true potential and push themselves to the limits.

It'll also give us some scouting ability. Fresh meat is always welcomed in my harem." Alucard said with a smile.

"I get you Alucard."

"See you in three days. Let's roll." Alucard said as the limo drove off.

Russ and Dan moved along the lunch line grabbing random things.

"Can't believe I'm forced to eat this," Dan said grabbing an ice tea from the cooler.

"Why spend money on fast food when you get this for free?" Russ said grabbing his tray and heading out.

"I know but this brings back my high school days which I would love to forget."

They walked out the line and into the cafeteria where the students and staff were eating and joking away. A huge plasma TV was on the wall showing Sportscaster and the picture in picture had news going along as well.

"This place is pretty rich for a TV that size." Dan said admiring it. "It would look great in my room."

"Don't get any ideas." Russ said.

They spotted Emily and Angel sitting down together and chatting.

"Mind if we gentlemen join you lovely ladies?" Russ said.

"What gentlemen? All I see are a couple of perverts." Emily said.

"Now, now Emily, Russell isn't a pervert. Daniel on the other hand is a different story." Angel

said winking at Russ.

"Har har." Dan said sitting next to Emily who gave him a kiss on the cheek.

They started eating and talking when Dan looked up and gave a scowl. He nudged Russ and angled his head towards the door as he gave a growl. Walking up to them was Merlin with Sanzo at his side. Russ undid the spell he put on him a couple of days ago which he kind of regretted but did it anyway because Merlin asked him nicely to. They walked over as Sanzo had absolute hate in his eyes. Merlin looked at him as Sanzo took a deep breath.

"I just want to say, I'm sorry for the way I treated you in the past and......."

Merlin eyed him angrily as Sanzo balled his fists in anger.

"Sanzo...." Merlin said sternly.

"And I hope you find it in your heart to forgive my actions."

Russ leaned back in the chair and crossed his arms.

"As much as I hate to say it, but apology accepted. But a warning for the future Sanzo, if you try to do anything to us again, I won't bother encasing you like I did before. I'll just flat out

kill you were you stand."

"Now could you leave before I lose my lunch." Dan said disgusted.

"Sanzo go back and tell Howard to set up that meeting with the new student." Merlin said.

"Of course, Merlin." Sanzo said before giving a growl as he took one last look at Dan and Russ.

Merlin took a seat and gave a sigh.

"I apologize deeply on his behalf also. His parents were killed during the onslaught of your mother."

"So why take it out on us?" Dan asked.

"Because he thinks it'll happen again." Merlin said taking a seat. "I tried telling him that you two are different but he won't listen to me, then again he hardly ever listens. And at times it has saved my life."

"So why put up with him?" Russ asked taking a bite out of his apple.

"We've been together since the first Mage's Guild."

"Mage's guild? You mean there's another group of people out there somewhere?" Dan asked.

Merlin chuckled and shook his head.

"No young one, this is way before your time. Back when all three guilds were once combined as one unit."

"Interesting, would you care to explain?" Russ said leaning forward.

"Certainly," Merlin said sitting back and folding his hands together. "Basically what happened was that the pervious Arch-mage placed a ban on necromancy, conjuration, and summoning, outright forbidding its study and learning. This caused a big disturbance which resulted in a rift in the guild. Back then I was a scrappy young upstart of a student, always getting into mischief in one way or another. I was considered a prodigy because I had an instinctive knowledge of magic. Half the council of mages resigned and formed their own groups which resulted in a power struggle for supremacy. When that happened, an ancient and powerful necromancer, seeing the turmoil happening, took the opportunity and attacked the Mage's Guild hoping to topple it."

Merlin closed his eyes remembering that fateful day.

"It was a hard fought battle since lots of our mages were gone into different guilds. In the end, I managed to defeat the necromancer but we lost the Arch-mage in the process. The previous Arch-mage, had left instructions in the event he was killed, I was to take his place. The others who had been part of battle testified to the master wizard, and then he told them the wishes of the Arch-mage, and I was promoted to Arch-mage. Naturally a large number of the teachers and instructors did not like that one bit."

Merlin took a drink of water before continuing.

"In an attempt to heal the breech of the guild, I managed to summon a once and old friend Alucard Graves and the head of the conjurers. I altered the rules the pervious Arch-mage had laid down to needing to be a certain rank within the guild to study the, shall we say amoral arts, under the watchful eye of the higher ranks. Alucard didn't like that restriction and neither did some of the remaining council members who wished the total ban to remain in place, Alucard and the others left and formed their own guilds, thus the Faction and Red Courts were born."

"You were friends with Alucard Graves?" Emily said shocked.

"I was. He was the only one that I counted on when I was in trouble besides Sanzo. He went on to form the Red Courts who felt that magic gave them the right to rule the world with an iron fist and another who I had the unfortunate pleasure of having as a teacher, formed The Faction, who feel magic in all forms is dangerous and only by learning under the strictest iron fisted rules is it possible to use it safely. I struggled to reform the Mage's guild and within six months, no thanks to the Red Courts and Faction, rebuilt it to the White Council. I finally got fed up and sent a message to the leaders to meet me on neutral grounds to discuss a peace treaty. If they refused, I would muster every ounce of power I could, inform the ruling government of the threat they both posed and burn them both out. The White Council was allied the true rulers of the land and I would have been able to marshal a large enough force to do so to."

"But isn't the treaty supposed to be kept up to date? I mean this is a long time ago we're talking about?" Russ said.

"Once every twenty years we meet to keep the treaty going."

"No offense, but how old are you?" Dan asked.

"Old enough to know better, too young to care." Merlin said with a chuckle.

"But suppose one day you just up and die, who's going to take over?"

"When the day does come, I already have two people in mind." Merlin said with a smile.

Dan choked on his drink as Russ looked at him wide eyed.

"No way." Dan said. "I can't lead myself let alone a bunch of kids."

"Merlin are you certain that is your wish? I mean, we are still learning ourselves?" Russ said.

"You will learn in time. I have faith in you, and you are both not quite the trouble makers I was growing up. Besides I have no intention of letting that bastard Graves out live me."

Russ and Dan looked at each for a second before Russ's phone went off.

"This is Russell. Come again? Okay, I'll be right there." Russ said getting up.

"What's up?" Dan asked.

"Hostage situation, I'm going down as a negotiator. Come on Angel, I might need you too."

"Okay." Angel said getting up.

Merlin touched his shoulder as Russ looked at him.

"If you get a chance Russell, do you think you could loan me your father's personal books? I'm not made of stone yet if you know what I mean?"

Russell smiled and nodded his head before heading off in a rush along with Angel. Dan

leaned back in the chair before his phone went off.

"Speak to me. You have them? Good, I'll be right there."

Dan got up and stretched as Emily looked at him.

"Where are you going?"

"To visit my grandmother, want to meet her?"

"Sure, I would love to."

"Come on then, Talk to you later Merlin."

Merlin watched them leave as he closed his eyes and smiled.

"They are so like me when I was young. Hopefully, they control their magic soon, or else they will be no match for him."

The plane landed and came to a stop next to waiting limo along with a black bear in a black suit and tie. Alucard got out and smiled when he saw him.

"Greetings Mr. Alucard, Did you have a pleasant flight?" the bear said opening the door.

"It was okay. Is everybody awaiting my arrival, because I hate waiting for other people?"

"Yes Mr. Alcuard. They are just waiting for you. I will get you there ASAP."

"Thank you Jones." Alucard said getting in as Jones closed the door and walked to the driver seat and got in.

Starting the car, he took off and left the airport.

"How if your family Jones? I hear you wife is expecting your third kid?"

"Yes Mr. Alucard. It's going to be a girl. I'm very proud."

"I'm glad to hear that. You deserve it. Look for a little extra in your paycheck for the next couple of months."

"Thank you Mr. Alucard. I couldn't have done it without your support. I owe everything to you. If you every need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me."

Alucard's eyes flash red as he smiled.

"Don't worry Jones. I will come to collect in due time."

"Wow, you got some nice flowers." Emily said smelling them as the car stopped at the light.

"Yeah, Adam got them for me. We haven't seen grandmom for a while so I need something to butter her up with."

"Trying to go for a woman's weak spot huh?"

"Hey, I would bang her but that would be wrong." Dan said with an evil smile on his face.

"You're sick you know that." Emily said pushing him lightly.

"That's what makes me, me. Plus you know you love it." Dan said raising his eyebrows a couple of times.

They both laughed as they pulled into the Copplehill Apartments. Finding a spot, they got out and walked inside. The place was cozy as it had a huge living room decorated with a nice carpet, a fire place, four couches and a wall mounted plasma TV. It had a good view of the garden outside with a variety of flowers and trees as well as a patio with lawn chairs and umbrellas.

"Well look who decided to show up here for a visit?"

They turned to the front desk to see a brown and white husky sitting down watching his own TV. The husky stood up and motioned them over with a wave.

"Hey Romeo. How are you doing?" Dan said.

"I'm hot and horny as usually." Romeo said with a lisp in his voice. "Who's the young lady?"

"This is my girlfriend Emily."

"Hello." she said with a smile.

Romeo let out a humph as he walked around and leaned on the desk. He had on a pair of blue windbreaker pants and a Bulls jersey showing his strong arms.

"So does this mean I don't get my end of the deal we made?"

"Another deal you made? You're quite the debt person." Emily said.

"Do me a favor Emily, head upstairs to the third floor and wait for me. I'll be up in a second." Dan said handing her the flowers.

"If you say so." Emily said shrugging her shoulders.

She walked over to the elevator and got on. Dan watched the doors close when he felt two arms wrap around his waist as he turned around to see Romeo holding him.

"Romeo listen....." he started before he got cut off by a finger to his lips.

"We had a deal Daniel. Your team lost and you owe me. I expect payment."

"The ref's were blind Romeo. Even you know that last call was bullshit."

"Bullshit or not, you lost, I won. Now when do I get paid?"

Dan swallowed hard as he looked into his grey eyes.

"I......I got a girlfriend Romeo."

"You think that stopped me before?"

Dan didn't realize he was slowly backing himself against the wall as he felt Romeo grind against him with a murr and a lick to the ear.

"I've waited to long for my payment Daniel. Now, I want to collect." he said softly in his ear.

"Listen Romeo, not here okay." Dan said as two old ladies looked at them oddly before they

kept on walking. "I promise I'll pay up."

"Not good enough. You said that three weeks ago."

"All right, what do you want?"

"A lover's kiss."

Daniel looked at him in shock.

"Jesus Romeo."

"Either that or I'll take my payment in full in the closet. Tight spaces are my specialty."

Romeo said with a deeper murr.

Dan shivered and closed his eyes, hating everything he made about that bet.

"All right, fine. But be quick."

"I'll take my time thank you. Are you ready big boy?"

"Just get it over with it."

Romeo smiled before leaning in and kissing Dan softly. He let out a sigh as he pushed his tongue into Dan's mouth making him jump. Dan felt the bulge in Romeo's pants on his thigh making him shiver before he felt his hand grab his crotch. Dan growled and pinned Romeo to the wall making him yip in surprise.

"That's not a kiss." Dan said out of breath.

"It is to me." Romeo said licking his lips. "Besides, it felt to me that you were enjoying it."

Dan let out a grunt and backed away as Romeo crossed his arms.

"When do you want your payment?" Dan said angrily.

"On my twenty first birthday, one week from today."

"Fine," Dan said with a huff heading for the elevator.

Before the door closed, Romeo opened them back up again.

"If you even think about not paying, I'll make sure you never reach full mast again."

"Threaten a cop now huh?"

"I don't think you want your fellow officers to know you lost to a gay guy and refuse to pay him?"

"That's low Romeo."

"My place, twenty-first birthday, seven pm. Wear something cute." Romeo said with a wink as the elevator doors closed.

Dan shivered thinking about what Romeo would do to him. The doors opened as Dan saw

Emily speaking to somebody out of eye sight.

"Ah, here he is now." Emily said looking at him.

Walking out, Dan saw an elderly woman holding the flowers with a smile.

"Hello grandson. So glad you could make time to visit your poor old granny."

Russell sat on the couch watching the coyote pace back and forth. The coyote had a gun in his hand which shook lightly. In between them was a female rabbit holding their daughter. She had a cut on her forehead as her clothes were torn in some places.

"Alright." Russell said calmly. "I'm here. Now let them go."

"NO! She'll cheat on me again. I won't let her." The coyote said pointing the gun at them making the little girl cry.

"There are better ways to solve this Bobby. Put the gun down and let's talk."

Bobby lowered the gun and went back to pacing.

"All right, why did you hit your wife Bobby? She seems like a nice lady."

"She's a two-timing bitch. I caught her cheating with her ex," Bobby yelled.

"That's not true Bobby. I love you. I would never cheat on you." the rabbit cried.

"Shut up you lying cunt." Bobby yelled grabbing her hair and putting the gun to her face. "You said it was over between you two Rebecca, but I caught him leaving the house."

"He was only picking up the rest of his stuff. You saw the bag in his hands."

"LIAR," he yelled slapping her to the ground.

Russell growled angrily inside not wanting to provoke him any further.

"I never knew me cheating on you would come back to haunt me. But that was years ago Rebecca, I was only seventeen. I thought we agreed to wipe the slate clean, this is FUCKED UP."

"I love you Bobby, please don't do this. Lisa doesn't need to see this," Rebecca pleaded.

"Shut the fuck up," he yelled, arms shaking as tears came down his muzzle.

That pretty much put Russ in panic mode. Bobby was almost to the breaking point and would kill them both. He had to do something now.

"Hey Bobby, you mind if I stand up? I'm getting a cramp in my leg."

Bobby looked at him before looking around the room.

"All right, but no funny stuff."

Russ stood up slowly, hands out. His eyes never left Bobby as he began to stretch slowly, noticing the vase on the mantel behind him. He lifted his arms slowly in the air twisting his body and quietly casting a spell on the vase. When he finished, he flicked his tail to the right causing the vase to fall.

"What the fuck?" Bobby said turning around quickly at the noise.

Russ took that spilt second and charged him. Bobby turned back quickly only to see Russell at his face. The gun in his right hand was lifted in the air as a couple of shots were fired. Russ managed to disarm the gun by pulling the hammer off as it dropped to the carpet. Bobby managed to release the grip Russ had on his wrist and with surprising strength, tossed Russell over his shoulder onto the glass table breaking it. Rebecca took the chance and fled through the front door.

"Hey where are you going? Get back here you bitch." Bobby shouted.

Before he could go after her, Russ tripped him up as he fell to the floor. They both got up quickly as Bobby started attacking Russ. Russ deflected his wild swings before he grabbed his arms from a wild swing and flipped him onto the ground knocking the air out of him.

"Don't make this any harder on yourself Bobby. Give in and you won't go to jail." Russ said watching Bobby get up slowly to his feet.

"Fuck you. You don't know what it feels like to be used like a piece of trash." Bobby snarled.

"Maybe I do and maybe I don't, but there are better ways to handle things like this."

"Go to hell." he yelled and charged Russ again.

Russ waited for the right moment before taking Bobby down with a drop toe hold. He grabbed both his arms behind his back slapping the cuffs on as Bobby trashed around on the ground.

"Get off. I have to teach that bitch a lesson."

"Calm down Bobby, please." Russ said.

"Let me go."

Russ sighed inward before casting a spell on Bobby as his struggling slowly stopped before he went still. Picking him up in a fireman's carry, Russ walked out the house to the waiting SNDU cars.

"Give me a hand here Ricky will you," Russ said the retriever.

Ricky nodded as he grabbed Bobby's legs as he and Russ put him in the back seat of the car.

"Is he okay?" Rebecca asked looking at him.

"He's fine ma'am. He's just taking a little nap." Russ said.

"Do you wish to press charges?" Angel asked.

Rebecca looked at Bobby's sleeping form as their daughter was holding him, nuzzling his neck.

"No. He just needs a little help. He's very jealous and gets angry very quick."

"Okay. But if this happens again, he will do jail time miss." Russ said.

"I understand."

"Ricky will drive you to the station. There, you can speak to Susan who will give you the names of some good family councilors."

"Thank you again," Rebecca said with a bow.

Russ and Angel watched her get into the front seat as the car drove off. Russ let out a groan feeling the pain in his shoulder from being slammed into the table.

"You okay?" Angel asked.

"Nothing that a nice hot bath won't cure."

"Really? Well I know a place with an open hot spring. How about I show you where it is and

I'll give you a special massage?" Angel said playing with his right ear.

"Sounds like a plan." Russ said with a murr.

"Ah, welcome Ginyu," the unicorn said holding a clipboard.

"How is everything going? Are we ready for the Ballista tournament Jimmy?"

"A little slow." Jimmy said rubbing his goatee.

"How come?"

"We are short a couple of summoners family emergency, which means the ones here will have to work extra."

Ginyu crossed his arms before he remembered Amon.

"I think I might have your answer."

"You can pull about 3 summoners out of the blue?" Jimmy said looking at him.

"Indeed I can."

"Great. When you have them, bring them here asap so I can show them what to do."

"No problem."

Dan and Emily sat in the living room on the couch. It felt cozy as one corner of the room had tons of plants, cactus, fernsand various others. The sun shone on them giving them the light they needed. A medium size aquarium was on the other side of the wall with goldfish and a couple of other fish swimming around. Over the aquarium was a giant picture of a house surrounded by trees with the leaves turning different colors.

"So what do I owe the pleasure of this visit from my grandson?" his grandmother said coming in with a tray of tea she placed on the end table.

"I wanted to visit you granny, is that so wrong?" Dan said grabbing a cup and taking a sip.

"Stop bullshitting me Daniel. I can see through you lie."

Daniel let out a short humph as Emily chuckled.

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your lady friend?"

"Yes, Emily this is my grandmother Richlene Miller."

"How do you do ma'am?" Emily said with a nod of her head.

"Don't be so formal dear," Richlene said with a chuckle. Her soft brown hair flowed softly covering her teal eyes lightly. "Just call me Richlene."

Emily nodded and took a sip of her tea before noticing a psuedodragon come flying into the room and settling down into Richlene's lap.

"I see you have a dragon too."

"Who, Gilbert here?" Richlene said stretching his chin. "Yeah, he's a gift from a friend. Only person I can speak to since some people don't like to visit."

Dan hid his face in his tea before taking a sip, loving the herbs she put in.

"So Dan, when can I expect the pitter patter of little feet?"

Dan spit out his tea as Emily went red.

"Jesus grandmom."

"What? You're both at the age where you should be having children."

"My job doesn't allow me the time."

"Is it your job doesn't allow you, or you don't love her enough?"

"Of course I love Emily."

"Then why no children?"

Dan looked at Emily who looked back, her ears red along with her face.

"Well, its just......that I'm.....not really......prepared for that."

Richlene gave a smile as she looked at him.

"That, Daniel, is probably the most truthful thing you said in twenty two years."

She turned to Emily who was looking at Dan.

"How is Merlin Emily?"

Emily looked at her in shock.

"How do you.....?"

"My daughter told me a lot about him."

"Oh I see. Well he's doing fine. Dan and Russ are his favorite pupils."

"Because they are both level five right?"

"Well partly that and all of the students like them to a certain degree. Can you use magic too?"

Richlene held her hand up as a ball of fire appeared.

"It runs in the family. Though Dan and Russell were special cases."

"Yes indeed. Lots of people want them."

"I would think so after the ruckus my daughter caused."

"I'm sorry for the loss Richlene." Emily said ears folded. "She was a wonderful person."

Richlene let out a chuckle.

"Don't worry about it dear. She knew the repercussion of her actions."

Richlene looked at the wall clock noticing the time.

"Heavens, it's almost four. I have a doctor's appointment to get to."

"Need me to take you grandmom?" Dan asked.

"No. Romeo's going to take me."

Dan shivered at that name.

"So when can I see you and Emily again? Or will you wait another month?"

"I can come see you anytime Richlene." Emily said.

"Thank you dear. Nice to see somebody's thinking about me."

"Grandmom that's not true." Dan said trying to save face.

A knock was heard at the door as Romeo walked in.

"Are you ready Richlene?"

"All set deary. Let me get my shoes."

Richlene put her shoes on and headed for the door as everybody got in the elevator. While in the elevator, Romro couldn't help but give a quick pinch to Dan's butt making him jump. He gave him a stare as Romeo grinned. Walking out into the parking lot, they made their way to the cars.

"Bye grandmom. I'll try and come to visit more often." Dan said giving her a hug.

"Please do. I get lonely you know. Also bring Russell. I miss rubbing his ears."

"Okay."

Dan gave her a kiss making Romeo whine.

"Where's my kiss goodbye?"

"Don't push your luck." Dan said in a growl.

"Stingy." Romeo said sticking his tongue out as he helped Richlene into his car. "I'll be

waiting Dan. Don't back out or else."

He got in on the other side and headed out of the parking lot.

"What did he mean by that?" Emily asked opening the passenger door.

"Nothing that concerns you." Dan said getting in.

"Dammit," Evan growled angrily flipping through books.

He was in the library vault looking for something but was having no luck so far.

"There has to be something here somewhere."

A bat walked in holding some more books.

"I don't think there is anything that can change what happened Evan."

"There has to be Josh. I refuse to let that runt get the best of me."

Evan let out a yell as the book he was reading exploded in flames.

"Damn that Russell. I didn't think he would be this smart."

"What do you intend to do Evan? You can't hope to contain them with what Russell has on you."

Evan watched the book burn, his purple eyes reflecting the fire lightly.

"There has to be a loophole somewhere and I'm going to find it. I refuse to let that runt have power over me. Nobody controls Evan Brandol."

"I understand. What do you want us to do in the meantime?" Josh asked.

"Keep a tight watch on them and make sure you get every piece of dirt they do wrong. If they litter, I want to know about it."

"Of course Evan."

Russell let out a sigh of relief as he relaxed in the hot spring. The steam went up in the air as the clouds covered the sun lightly. Angel brought him to a Japanese style bath house which she found one day with Emily. His ears perked up to the sound of a door sliding open and close.

"How do you like it?" Angel said walking to the pool edge wearing nothing but a towel.

"Oh man this is nice," Russ said leaning on the edge and sliding his body more into the water.

"I knew you'd like it. Ready for your massage?"

Russ tilted his head up to see Angel holding a small bottle.

"Sure," he said giving her some room as she took off her towel and got in.

She popped the top as the smell of appels and cinnamon flowed into his nose. Squeezing some of the liquid on her hand, she started at his shoulder feeling his muscles tense.

"Relax honey," she cooed softly in his ear.

He let out a sigh as his body was putty in her hands as she smiled.

"That was impressive what you did to Evan. You are scary when you use your head."

"Just doing what was needed." Russ said with a murr as his tongue lolled out.

"I don't think Daniel would've come up with something like that."

"Daniel only uses his head when it's a last resort. I love my brother don't get me wrong, but he's too much of a shoot first think later."

"He seems to be more cheerful these past couple of days. Maybe he's gotten over his anger problems?"

"Lets just hope he stays that way. He has a tendency to change attitude at the drop of a hat."

"I can't help but wonder how Evan feels right now." Angel said

"Oh don't worry about him, I'm sure he'll figure out a way to get out of this mess. I'd be surprised if he didn't."

"I'd bet a year at least." Angel quipped.

"Bet ya five bucks it takes him no more then six months."

"Deal." She said

Angel stopped massaging and wrapped her arms around his waist kissing his cheek.

"I've made a big catch with you wolfie."

"You into the calm, quiet type?" Russ said looking at her.

"That, and a person who can dominate me like you do," she said lustfully trailing her hand down under the water grabbing his erection making him inhale sharply.

Russ let out a soft whine as he felt those delicate hands. He didn't know how turned on he was till she tugged lightly on his knot making him yelp.

"Mmmm, as much as I want to feel you, I don't think the pool boy wants to clean up after us." Angel said licking his ear.

"You're a kinky one aren't you my bad bunny?" Russ said with a growl.

"You have no idea my wolfie."

"Well then, I think its time you find out how bad I can be," Russ said with an evil grin.

Ginyu roamed the halls in search of Amon.

"Where the hell could he be?"

He walked down the hallway coming to his room. He gave a knock and heard nothing but the faint sound of a TV. Opening the door, he saw Amon watching what appeared to be a family video. It was him, Julie, and their son at his birthday. Amon didn't even hear his door close as Ginyu walked up behind and watched.

"Happy birthday Simon." Paul and Julie said as they brought his cake out.

"Wow, thanks mom and dad." Simon said happily.

"How old are you?" a voice said in the background.

"I'm seven today Uncle Karl."

"You're going to be just like your father, a loafer."

"Up yours," Paul said throwing something at somebody.

"All right dear," Julie said lighting the candles. "Make a wish and blowout the candles."

"Okay mom."

Simon closed his eyes for a second before opening them up and blowing out the candles.

"Good boy," Paul said clapping his hands along with everybody else. "What did you wish for?"

"Now dear, it's not proper to ask that." Julie said.

"I know honey. I'm just curious so I know whether or not to return what I bought."

"Well, I wished for a go-kart."

Paul's eyes widened in surprise.

"Are you sure you didn't peek? You're not a mind reader are you son?" Amon said along with his younger self.

"No dad I'm not a mind reader. Did you really get one?"

"Go look outside."

Simon hurried outside as the cameraman tried to keep up.

"OH WOW, this is so cool." Simon said looking at the miniature go-kart. It looked like a porshe with a red paint job.

Simon ran up and hugged Paul who lifted him on his shoulder.

"Thanks dad. You're the greatest."

"Only the best for my number one son." Amon said, tears running freely down his face.

The movie stopped as Ginyu chuckled.

"Children, so innocent and fragile wouldn't you say?"

Amon jumped out of his chair tripping on his feet falling to the floor.

"Don't you know how to fucking knock?" he said angrily.

"I did. You were occupied with your past life."

"Don't pry into my business." Amon said taking the tape out. "What do you want?"

"I have a job for you. Gives you something to do."

"Like what?"

"You'll see," Ginyu said as his eyes flashed behind the mask. "Get your summoner clothes.

You're going to need them."

Daniel sat in his office desk working on past reports that were due. Emily was with him working on reports of her own. A knock on the door was heard as Irons walked in. He gave a look of surprise before looking at the name on the office door.

"Am I in the right office?" Irons said looking at Dan.

"Hey Chief." Dan said looking up for a brief second.

"Are you feeling okay? This isn't like you."

"Let's just say I've gotten a huge weight off my shoulder."

"That must've been some weight for you to be doing paperwork without being asked."

"You don't know the half," Dan said with a smile. "What can I do for you?"

"Oh yeah, I came for the gang war report."

"I got it right here." Dan said sliding his chair over to the next desk, and after flipping through a dozen or so files before found it. He slid back to hid desk and handed it to him.

"Here you go chief. I finished it this morning."

"Wow. Maybe I should go over your yearly review and increase your pay."

"You mean that?"

"It's possible. Just keep up the good work."

"Will do."

Irons left the office as Dan went back to work. After a couple of hours he put his pen down and leaned back in the chair yawning.

"Oh man this is tiring."

"You let it pile up like that," Emily said typing away.

"I know that. No need to remind me." Dan said with a huff.

"I know but its fun," Emily said sticking her tongue out.

"Humph, you're lucky I like you."

"Or what mister?" Emily said with a playful growl. "You'll deny me your manhood?"

Dan let out a chuckle as Emily got up and twirled around slowly making sure to move her hips seductively.

"Face it Daniel, you need me more then I need you."

"Ha, don't flatter yourself. I still have my right hand and some KY. Or I can go to the club and get a lap dance. I've got choices."

"But in the end," Emily said walking slowly over and began to grind into Dan's lap. Her tails tickling his neck. "You come home to me."

Dan let out a groan as his hard on pressed into his pants. Emily murred when she felt it.

"I guess I win this game." Emily said tilting her head and kissing his chin.

"Curse you," Dan said playfully reaching under her shirt and slowly rubbing her stomach.

Emily let out another murr before locking her lips with Dan.

"Hey Dan check this..........." Billy said walking in making them both jump. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt."

"It's okay. Just getting an appetizer before the main course." Dan said making Emily giggle. "What's up?"

"I just found this ad on the board. Here read it."

Dan took the note Billy handed him and looked at it.

"Are you confident in your magic? Then come prove your skills in the Ballista Tournament held on the island of Cape Terrigan. The winner will receive twenty-five thousand dollars grand prize along with a meet and greet with Alucard Greaves. If interested please sign the bottom and fax it to the main office. You will receive a conformation via email right away. All applicants please arrive at the Double Tree Inn on Next St. at ten am tomorrow morning. Hope to see you there."

Dan felt Emily shiver slightly.

"Why don't you go Dan? You know magic. It might be fun." Billy said.

"Yeah. I could use the twenty-five grand too."

"I don't think you should go." Emily said, concern in her eyes.

"Why not?"

"Because anything that involves Alucard is bad."

Dan rubbed his chin a little thinking.

"If you're going to go, you need to apply by eight tonight." Billy said.

"Okay, sign me up." Dan said signing the bottom and handing it to Billy.

"You got it." Billy said walking out.

Emily got up and went back to her seat as Dan looked at her.

"Don't worry Emily. I can handle myself."

"That's not the point. You don't know what kind of trap you are walking into."

Emily grabbed one of her tails and played with it.

"I'm worried you might get caught of worse."

"If you're that worried, come with me."

Emily looked at him in shock.

"You serious?"

"Dead serious. If this Alucard does try anything, he wouldn't want to feel the consequences of his actions with an emissary from the White Council there."

Emily thought about it before smiling.

"You're using your head. That's a first."

"Fuck you," Dan said throwing the pen at her.

"I know you will," Emily said with a wink.

Ginyu and Amon stepped out the portal as Amon went to one knee holding his head.

"I'll never get use to that."

"You're still a noob at teleporting but eventually you'll get use to it."

"What am I doing here?" Amon said getting up.

"You're going to help Jimmy with the Ballista tournament."

"Ballista tournament?" Amon said confused.

"He'll explain when we get there."

They walked up the hill to a medium size two floor house. Opening the door, they were greeted by lots of chatter as people were moving back and forth carrying stuff in their arms. Ginyu saw Jimmy talking to a wolf with a clipboard.

"Make sure the cameras are working in zones five through ten."

"Okay boss. Anything else?" the wolf said writing.

"Yes, make sure that the people we hire to get the people out, get there as soon as the signal is heard."

"I'm on it."

Jimmy let out a sigh as he wiped his forehead with a napkin. He turned around to see Ginyu standing there with Amon.

"Ah Ginyu, nice to see you. Did you bring the extra summoners?"

"You're looking at him."

"Huh?" Jimmy said looking at Amon. "Only him?"

"Never judge a book by its cover."

"Can he summon shadow and dark creatures?"

Amon gave an evil smile and crossed his arms.

"Those happen to be my speciality."

"Is that so?" Jimmy said. "Well then follow me."

They walked down a hall dodging people left and right before Jimmy opened a door leading downstairs. The hall was lightly lit as the noise from everybody upstairs was slowly being cancelled out. Reaching the bottom, there were several summoning circles with various furs and people chanting. A dolphin greeted them as he walked over.

"Greetings Jimmy and Ginyu. What brings you here? Did you find some extra summoners for us?"

"Hand picked by Ginyu himself." Jimmy said gesturing to Amon who nodded.

"Okay. Get changed and take any circle you want. Bathroom's in the back." the dolphin said.

"I need to check on everybody else. Amon, do as your told and don't cause trouble," Ginyu said before disappearing into the black hole under him.

Rick sat at the table, eyes focused at nothing as his mind kept replaying the nightmare over in his head.

"Why did he kill them? My family has done nothing to offend anybody. But it doesn't matter, Merlin will pay for what he did."

He was so caught up with thoughts that he didn't hear the person in back of him.

"What can I get for you sir?" the waitress asked.

"I'll have coffee black with cream on the side and an onion bagel toasted with strawberry jam on the side."

"Coming right up."

Rick stirred the straw in the cup listening to the ice clank around.

"I see you're all grown up Richard Darksun."

Rick's hair on the back of his neck stood up at the mention of his name.

"Do I know you?" Rick said with his back still turned.

"Not really. Thank you my dear." the man said getting his order.

"How do you know me?"

"I know more then you know. Wow this is really good coffee."

"Meaning what?"

"Meaning I know some things that you will find most interesting."

"Not interested." Rick said getting up.

The man chuckled causing Rick to stop.

"What's so funny?"

"Just a question for you, do you ever wake up from a nightmare you wish you could've stopped when you were young?"

Rick's tail twitched rapidly before he sat down.

"How do you know? "

"Like I said, I know more then you think."

"Then answer me this, where is Merlin?"

The man took a bite of his bagel relishing the taste.

"The question is not where Merlin is but do you think he did it?"

"Of course it's him. My uncle told me so himself." Rick growled.

"And who might this uncle be?"

"Alucard."

"Ahhh that explains it."

"What do you mean?"

The man took another sip of his coffee.

"I can't give you that answer. But I will say this, watch your uncle carefully. Watch what he does and how he acts."

"My uncle didn't do anything. He raised me after Merlin killed my parents. Stop trying to fill my head with your bullshit."

"I see."

A beeping sound made the man look at his watch.

"Dear me, I'm late for my meeting."

He got up and left money for his order. He reached for his hat and coat and spoke again.

"You don't have to listen to the ramblings of a stranger. But if you want answers, I will provide you with the questions you should ask. Check under my seat when I leave and you will find what you need to get started. Once you are convinced that he hasn't been truthful and hiding things, come to me, and I'll provide you with more questions to search for the answers. My number is at the bottom."

The man walked to the diner's exit before stopping.

"Oh yes, make sure to double check your facts to get the whole picture, then decide for yourself."

With that, the man left leaving Rick sitting there.

"That idiot doesn't know anything."

Curiosity got the best of him as he stood up and reached under the man's seat where he sat. He felt something long stuck there and pulled it out in the open revealing an envelope.

"He can't be right? Uncle would never do anything to harm me."

But the nagging sensation in the back of his mind told him to press forward. With a growl, he pocketed the envelope, paid for his drink and left.

"I still can 't believe I let you talk me into this." Emily said in the car.

"Think about the money, not about the trap." Dan said.

"He's right Emily. Twenty-five grand is nothing to laugh at." Billy said.

Emily let out a sigh as Billy pulled up to the Double Tree Inn. Dan got out and leaned on the driver's side.

"Thanks Billy."

"No problem. Just make sure you do your best."

"You got it." Dan said giving him thumbs up before Billy drove off.

They walked into a mass of people gathered in the lobby.

"Damn, what a turnout. Guess everybody wants the money." Dan said.

A huge minotaur walked out making everybody go quiet as they looked at him.

"Those of you who are here for the tournament, please head into the conference room for

the rules." it said in a deep voice.

Everybody walked into the conference room taking a seat as a gryphon walked to the podium.

"Welcome everyone to the seventh annual Ballista tournament. Now before we head out, there are a few rules that I must go over so please bear with me as it is for your safety as well as ours."

Ginyu looked from behind the curtain and whistled.

"Wow, a lot more then expected."

He scanned the crowd before noticing Daniel but not Emily as she was not in his view.

"Daniel Miller!? Well this is a surprise. Maybe he's here for the meet and greet but that's highly unlikely. This tournament may prove to be interesting."

"Now that I got the boring stuff out the way, let's get to the good stuff. As you know, there is a twenty five thousand dollar grand prize along with a meet and greet with Alucard Greaves."

Everybody cheered at that as the gryphon asked for silence.

"Now the tournament is for beginners and pros. But for those of you who want a challenge, we can allow you to go through a special zone where you will be put test and your life at risk. Now if that sort of thing if interesting to you, please give me a show of hands."

Out of the three hundred people, about thirty percent of them raised their hands.

"Excellent. For those that didn't, please exit the door to your left and board the waiting buses that will take you to the cruise ship to the island. For those that raised their hands, please wait here so we can fill out the correct paperwork incase of death or severe injury. Don't worry; we have lawyers present that will help as well."

Dan and Emily managed to squeeze into the bus as they headed towards the dock. When they reached the dock, they all let out a cheer at the size of the cruise ship. It was huge as it was painted metallic silver along the bottom and black along the top. The ship's crew was waiting on the deck in their uniforms.

"Wow it's beautiful." Emily said.

"This your first cruise?" Dan asked.

"Yeah," Emily said a little embarrassed.

"Well, you'll like it."

Everybody boarded and went into the huge dining room where tons of food and drink were set up making people applaud at the huge assortment of food.

"Welcome everyone to the cruise ship Galaxy. I am your captain Jim Norton," the raccoon said on the podium in a white captain's uniform. "I hope your cruise will be pleasant on my ship. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to see me. We will be leaving in about ten minutes so please, sit back and enjoy yourself."

Everybody let out a clap before helping themselves to the food. Dan went topside watching the sailors pull up the boarding plank and getting ready to sail off. He looked towards the ocean as seagulls swooped overheard.

"I just hope what Emily said is false. I'm by myself so if this is a trap, I'm screwed."

Russell leaned back in the couch with Steele in his lap. It was getting dark and he hasn't heard from Dan all day and was getting nervous. The smell of popcorn floated in the house as Angel walked out the kitchen with a big bowl of popcorn and some soda.

"Where's Dan at? This isn't like him to not tell me where he's at." Russ said.

"Have you tried calling him?" Angel asked.

"I have and all I get is caller is out of range. I tried asking Adam and even he hasn't seen

him since this afternoon."

Angel placed the stuff on the table and sat next to Russ. She was about to lay down on his lap when Steele let out a small growl.

"Hey don't hog him all to yourself." Angel pouted.

Steele gave a small snort before curling up on Russ's lap making him chuckle.

"Guess you got denied."

"It's okay. I like the shoulder better. You ready for the movies I picked out?"

"All set here."

She walked over and popped the DVD in and sat down, her head seating on his shoulder.

"I just wish I knew where he was." Russ said.

"You know Dan. He's probably got Emily bent over a chair screwing her brains out." Angel said with a chuckle.

"I hope your right on that one." Russ said, his mind still on alert mode incase anything does happen.

Emily leaned on the rail admiring the view. The night sky was filled with stars as the full moon reflected its image on the calm water below.

"So beautiful," Emily said mesmerized, her tails swaying slowly.

"Indeed you are," a voice said besides her.

She looked to see a great dane surrounded by five other furs, a ferret, doberman, otter, roo, and a raptor.

"What's a beautiful creature like yourself doing out here all alone? Do you need some company?" the dane said in a semi deep voice. His light blue eyes were capturing every inch of her body.

"Huh? Oh, I'm waiting for someone." Emily said.

"Well here I am." the dane said opening his arms.

"Emily!? I knew that was you." another voice said.

They looked to see a collie no more then sixteen run up and hug her.

"Jacob!? What are you doing here?" Emily said confused.

"I'm trying for the grand prize to help my mom." he said, his golden brown tail wagging non stop happily.

"But does Merlin know your here? You know you still have homework to do."

"I know. But I couldn't pass up the chance of the money."

"Ahem," the dane said causing them to look at him. "Is this your date? A little boy?"

"Who you calling little?" Jacob said in a growl.

All the dane's friend started to laugh.

"The boy's got spirit." the roo said.

"Stop calling me a boy you jerks."

"Or what little boy? You'll cast a fireball at us and give us a tan?" the dane said making everybody laugh.

"I'll show you," Jacob growled and rushed him.

"Jacob, no." Emily said.

The dane grinned before raising his hand.

"Shadow bind." he said snapping his fingers.

Jacob froze in place unable to move.

"Jacob," Emily shouted and rushed towards him.

"Not so fast there cutie," the raptor said holding her. "Watch as your "new" boyfriend handles this little runt and become the new Ballista champion."

The dane held his hands apart as a black ball appeared growing bigger by the second. Streaks of lighting flashed inside it.

"Taste my power you little runt."

He tossed the ball at Jacob who still stood immobile. He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact. When it didn't happen, he opened his eyes to see somebody in front of him.

"Picking on kids is low." Dan said, one arm out holding the ball back.

"Boss, he stopped your spell like it was nothing." the ferret said.

"Just who do you think you are?" the dane said angrily.

"The person who's girl you are harassing." Dan said turning his head to see the raptor let her go and run back to his gang.

Dan lowered the ball enough as he reared back and kicked it over the water. He held his finger up as the water shifted visibly as a dragon appeared and swallowed the ball before gliding over standing next to him.

"Now then, I strongly suggest you find somebody else to pick on, or my friend here will do to you exactly what he did to your sad little spell."

The dragon glared at them all as they shook.

"This ain't over. Nobody one ups Owen Craig the third. Watch your back boy. Let's go fellas." Owne said leaving.

Jacob felt his body become unrestricted as he looked at Daniel, a twinkle in his eyes.

"WOW, that's so cool mister. Can you teach me how to do that?" he said pointing to the dragon.

"Sorry Jacob. That's a little too advanced for you. Are you okay?" Emily asked.

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Sorry I'm late. The line for the alcohol was packed." Dan said.

His eyes flashed as the dragon evaporated. He sat down on the bench as Emily joined him, her head on his shoulder as her muzzle licked his neck. Dan felt this uneasy feeling as he looked to see Jacob sitting on his right, his tail wagging non stop.

"Please can you teach me how to do that?" he whined.

"Emily who is this?"

"That's Jacob Goodwill. A student still learning his magic. He has the potential to become a level three if he keeps up his studies."

"Well Jacob, when you hit level 3, I'll teach you."

"But you'll be old and grey when I do."

"Hey now, that's not nice." Dan said making Emily laugh. "Tell you what, if you can make a waterspout in the water, maybe I'll show you."

"Deal." Jacob said rushing to railing and started practicing.

Dan let out a sigh closing his eyes.

"I'm not the father figure."

"You never know cutie. But we can find out if you want?" Emily said in a murr.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass."

Ginyu arrived at the building and walked in. People were getting ready and checking everything before the tournament. Jimmy saw him and walked over.

"Ginyu, I don't know where you got this guy but he's amazing. I've never seen anybody summon such an assortment of dark and shadow creatures."

"Has he caused any problems?"

"Not at all. He just stays at his circle and doesn't bother anybody."

"I see. Are we almost ready to begin? The boat is almost here."

"We're doing one last check on everything and then we're golden."

"Good. Alucard called and expects a good show."

"Well he won't be disappointed. If you'll excuse me, I have to check my own area."

Ginyu let a smile creep onto his face, his mask covering it.

"It will be a good show indeed with Daniel Miller here."

Dan let out a yawn as he sat up in the bed. He looked at the small window to see the sun rising. Getting up, he walked over to it having nothing on but a pair of boxers as he opened the window and took a deep breath.

"I could never be a sailor. I'd go nuts being surrounded by men all day and night."

Closing the window, he crawled back under the covers putting an arm around Emily's stomach making her sigh.

"God you're so soft. I could hold you all day."

"Nobody's stopping you," Emily said turning around and kissing him deeply.

A shiver went her spine as Dan slowly ran his hands up her back making her growl in pleasure. They were getting deeply into each other when the door opened and Jacob walked in, oblivious to what they were doing.

"Mister I did it. I made a waterspout. Are you going to teach me how to make that dragon now?"

"Jesus kid, don't you know how to fucking knock? Didn't your parents teach you manners?"

Dan yelled.

"I.....I'm so.....sorry. I.....I just.....wa......wanted to......know....."

"Get out!!" Dan yelled.

Jacob let out a yip and fled the room quicker then he entered slamming it behind him. Emily let out a growl before hitting Dan on the head hard.

"What was that for?"

"For being immature."

"How do you figure? He rushed in without knocking or anything."

"You don't have to yell at him just for that."

"But......"

"And its not like you don't get to see me naked everyday. Grow up."

Dan wanted to say something but she got up and got dressed.

"I'm going to try and comfort Jacob. When you feel like being a man and apologizing come find us. Otherwise, you WILL be using your right hand a lot more."

Emily slammed the door as Dan sat there.

"Dammit." he yelled hitting the wall leaving a huge dent. "Why is everything my fault?"

Irritated, he got up and got dressed, mumbling every minute. Walking out his cabin. he headed upstairs to the deck where he spotted Emily comforting Jacob who was in a fetal position on the bench.

"I shouldn't have entered the room like that. I'm sorry," he said whining.

"It's okay Jacob. Mistakes happen." Emily said softly rubbing his back.

"He hates me. Now he won't tech me how to do that spell."

"He doesn't hate you. He's just not.......a people person."

Dan felt bad as he scratched his head before walking over and sitting beside him.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that." Dan said.

"It's my fault for entering without knocking. I was just excited though." Jacob said, his face

still buried in his arms.

"Tell you what Jacob? Let's start fresh okay? Let's forget today ever happened. What do you say?"

Jacob lifted his head and looked at Dan. His eyes showed his happiness.

"You mean it?"

"Yeah."

"Okay," Jacob said, his tail wagging happily as he smiled.

Emily chuckled when the loud speaker crackled to life.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. If you look straight ahead, we are approaching the four islands that make up Cape Teriggan. We will be arriving within a few hours so please help yourself to the breakfast buffet before you leave. I hope your cruise was pleasurable and enjoyable."

Jacob's stomach growled at that making him blush as Dan chuckled.

"What do you say you and I hit the buffet for some food?" Dan said.

"Okay. Race you there," Jacob said getting up and dashing ahead.

Dan let out a chuckle as he stood up. Emily walked over and gave him a kiss.

"Thank you for being a gentleman."

"Thank me later," he said grabbing one of her tails and squeezing it lightly making Emily

shiver.

"Oh I intend to," Emily said with a murr.

Alucard crossed his arms as he looked at the proposal in front of him.

"You expect me to sign this joke of a proposal?"

Everybody looked at him surprise.

"But Mr. Graves, this benefits everybody." a rottweller said.

"How is it benefiting me? This is telling me to give up ten percent of MY business to you. How is that benefiting me?"

"Well Mr. Graves, the ten percent we are asking for is doing poorly according to our reports. If we merge, your company along with ours, we could probably increase business by the next fiscal year."

"So you're saying I don't know how to do my job?" Alucard said calmly, his eyes locking with the rotty.

"You're putting words in my mouth Alucard, and I don't like that."

Alucard directed his eyes slowly towards the proposal before it exploded in flames making everybody jump.

"Tell me something Regis, who came up with this proposal?"

"My father did." Regis said in a growl.

"Ah yes, good old Timothy. Still trying anyway he can to pry into my business. Now he's using his son."

Regis let out a growl before slamming his fists down and standing up.

"Don't talk down on my father. Remember, he's the one that hired your sorry ass in the first place."

"And look where he is compared to me." Alucard said calmly.

"You son of a bitch."

Regis was about to rush him when Alucard's left wing was at his throat making him swallow hard. Alucard smiled evilly before a ferret walked in.

"Mr. Graves, there's a phone call for you."

"Thank you Joel." Alucard said retracting his wing. "Do yourself a favor Regis, tell your father to try harder at being a business man instead of relying on a wannabe like you."

Regis was foaming angry as Alucard left the room.

"This better be good." Alucard said over the phone. "I see. How many people turned up?

Who's there? Well, this should prove to be interesting. Keep me informed."

Alucard hung up and smiled.

"This day went from dull to exciting."

The boat docked as everybody got off and got lead to a hotel up the hill. Walking into the dining room, Jimmy greeted everybody as he walked up on the stage to get everybody's attention.

"Thank you all for coming to the Ballista tournament to determine the best of the best. As you heard from Phil back home, there is a grand prize waiting for the winner. So without further ado, I'll explain a few things."

Dan let out a yawn and closed his eyes, not aware he was being watched from the darkness by Ginyu.

"Each one of you will be giving a tracking device that hooks around your wrist like a watch. If at anytime during the contest, you feel unable to continue, just push the button and one of our trained employees will be with you in seconds to bring you back here for medical treatment asap."

As he said that, watches materialized on the tables as everybody hooked them on.

"Secondly, throughout the island are several safe houses where nothing will be able to get in at you. There you will also find food, water, and an assistant who can treat injuries. Is everybody with me so far?"

Everybody nodded their heads making Jimmy smile.

"Now that that's out of the way, let the contest begin. Everyone please stand up and walk over to one of the five teleport pads. The teleport pads will examine you and take you to the appropriate island. Those of you that wanted the extra challenge, please use the first teleport pad by the leopard. Good luck and have fun."

Everybody got up and went over to the pads, disappearing one by one. It was Dan's turn as he stepped onto the pad. It scanned him then let out an error message.

"That's odd," the roo said examining the pad.

He pressed a couple of buttons and it still gave an error message.

"Hey Jimmy, give me a hand over here."

Jimmy walked over and looked at the pad.

"What's wrong?"

"I keep getting an error message with this guy."

"Odd."

They tried everything but nothing worked. Ginyu saw a chance and took it, disguising himself as he walked over.

"What's wrong?"

"The pad's not working for this guy." Jimmy said not looking up.

"Well sir, would you like to try the first pad then?"

"Isn't that the one for people who signed something?" Dan asked.

"It is, but you can take along a partner if you want?"

Dan looked at Emily who nodded her head and who Ginyu didn't see til now.

"Okay, I'll take her."

"What about me?" Jacob asked.

"Sorry, this is much too dangerous for you Jacob." Emily said.

"Yeah, don't want you getting hurt and crying for mommy," Owen said laughing disappearing onto the pad.

Jacob let out a growl before rushing onto the pad and disappearing.

"Jacob wait!" Dan said rushing onto as well as Emily.

Ginyu dropped his disguise and laughed.

"Now things will get interesting."

Rick walked through the abandon house. The place was being renovated after the fire which he went through. The dead wood creaked under him as he walked up the stairs. He opened the door which lead to his parents room. Everything was gone but he could still remember where everything was.

"Was this your parent's room?" Avhi asked.

"Yeah," Rick said softly still in the doorway.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it."

He closed the door but it fell off the hinges and hit the ground with a bang. He let out a sigh before walking down the hall. He stopped and opened the door to his old room.

"Was this your room?"

"Yeah," Rick said walking in.

The closet door was half burnt off as it creaked slowly back and forth.

"I bet this was a beautiful house."

"It was, until he came," Rick said with a growl.

Avhi looked at Rick who's hands were balled up and tiny balls of flames snap around him.

"I've had enough, let's go." Rick said.

"Okay."

Avhi left the room followed by Rick who stopped and looked back. He was about to leave when something caught his eye. Walking over to where his bed us to be, he shifted the debris around until he found a sliver locket. Dusting it off, he opened it up as tears filled his eyes. Inside was a picture of him, his father and mother.

"Father, mother, you will be avenged."

Jacob whined sadly as he walked carefully through the jungle.

"Emily? Where are you?"

The trees rustled above him making him yelp and run. He tripped and fell to the ground with a hard tumble. Growls were heard around him as he curled up into a ball. Out of the foliage came three gnolls. Two of them had an axe and shield while the other had a bow. Jacob tried to move but the cut on his leg prevented him.

"Somebody help me," he whimpered.

One of the gnolls approached him. It bent down sniffing his leg by where the cut was and gave it a lick tasting the blood. It looked back and nodded its head causing the other two to advance. Jacob closed his eyes waiting for the end when a gunshot was heard. Opening his eyes, the gnoll with the bow had dropped to the ground, with a hole in its head.

"Jacob, are you okay?" Emily said running over.

The two remaining gnolls turned to see Dan with his gun smoking. They let out a growl and charged him. Dan snapped his fingers causing the vines on the ground to tangle them up and hold them.

"Sorry fellas, can't play with you today. Maybe next time."

He walked past them to Jacob who was getting his leg treated by Emily.

"How is he?"

"Its not as deep as it looks but it could get infected. I used a cure wounds on him but it can

only do so much."

"Alright. Press the button and let him go."

"No, I want to stay." Jacob said.

"Jacob this may be a game but these monsters are playing for keeps. You're not ready for this yet."

Jacob let out a growl before standing up and looking Daniel straight in the eyes.

"I'm sick of people treating me like a baby. I came here to win and that's what I'm going to do. Now you can either help me or I walk away and finish by myself."

"Jacob what are you saying?" Emily said shocked.

Dan didn't say anything as he looked into Jacob's brown eyes which held determination.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Dan asked.

"I am."

"Very well, let's go."

"Daniel are you serious?"

"Emily, his mind is made up. Plus, you'd probably want him with us right?"

Emily folded her ears and looked down at the ground.

"But......"

Dan walked over and held her.

"Don't worry Emily. I'll make sure he's safe. Plus, look on the bright side."

"What bright side?"

"This gives us good practice at being parents." Dan whispered in her ear.

Emily blushed at that making Dan chuckle.

"If your okay with it, then I'm okay."

"Good," Dan said lifting her chin up and kissing her. "Okay ramblers, let's get rambling."

Jacob and Emily nodded their heads before heading into the jungle.

Rick walked through the building, his mind processing things a mile a minute. Ginyu spotted him and walked up.

"Something on your mind son?"

"I'm not your son." Rick said bluntly.

"My apologize, Are you looking for something?"

"No, just thinking."

"You want to come along with me? Maybe some fresh air will do you good."

"Where are you going?"

"Back to Cape Teriggan to watch the Ballista tournament."

Rick thought about it before nodding his head. He had nothing else to do except that envelope from that mystery guy.

"Very well, let's go," Ginyu said raising his hand as they disappeared into the black hole under them.

They appeared in front of the building and walked in. They passed a room which was full of people getting treated for injuries they received.

"What happened to them?" Rick asked.

"Those are people that took the advance path where the monsters play for keeps."

Walking upstairs, they came to the control room where people were watching monitors and relaying info back and forth.

"Jimmy, how's the tournament coming along?" Ginyu asked.

"So far, it's pretty interesting." Jimmy said not taking his eyes off the screen. "Out of the three hundred only twenty still remain. Most backed out early and others ran themselves out."

"Any deaths?"

"Two deaths so far. Couple of people lost limbs but that's about it, were attempting to use magic to save them."

"Anybody you're watching that has your eye?"

"Yeah, there are two people that have my eyes and might win."

He punched a couple of buttons causing two pictures to pop up.

"A one Daniel Miller and Owen Craig."

Rick's eyes went narrow as he let out a growl.

"Miller," he said angrily.

"At the rate they are going, it's going to come down to them two."

"Where is he?" Rick asked.

"One second." Jimmy said typing swiftly. "Owen is currently passing zone H-7 towards the end and Daniel is at the safe house at zone A-10."

Rick turned to leave before Ginyu stopped him.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going after Miller. I want answers. I'm sick of waiting."

"Do no interfere with the tournament."

"Don't tell me what to do." Rick growled walking past him.

"Alcuard left me in charge. So consider my word as his word."

Rick balled his fists angrily, glowing with a light red tint causing the monitor near him to short circuit.

"Fine." Rick said angrily before leaving.

Jimmy watched him leave before looking at Ginyu.

"What was that all about?"

"Don't worry about it. Just keep the tournament going."

"Damn that thing was tough," Dan said holding his right arm which had a long piece of bark in it causing blood to run out.

"Of course it was. You were fighting a Trent on its home turf. Let me see your arm." Emily said.

Dan held his arm out as Emily grabbed the bark. She pulled it out slowly as so not to leave any splinters that would cause infection. Jacob came over with some water and bandages.

"Thanks for the help back there Jacob." Dan said.

"It was nothing." Jacob said blushing.

"Hell, after this I won't be surprised if you'll be called a little boy again."

"Thanks Dan."

A female panther walked over with a clipboard.

"Are you able to continue on Daniel Miller? The next safe house isn't for another mile."

"I'll be fine miss. I've had worse then this," Dan said moving his arm gingerly.

"How about you little boy? Do you still want to continue?"

"I'm not stopping after coming this far."

"Very well. I'll contact home base and let them know you'll keep going."

They watched her leave as Dan took a drink of water. He opened his gun and counted his rounds before letting out a curse.

"Shit, I wasted too many rounds. I should've brought a few extra clips."

"What are you doing with a gun? I forgot to ask that." Jacob asked.

"I'm a cop." Dan said with a smile putting the clip back in.

"Wow, you really are cool."

"Haha, I try."

Dan got up and took a careful stretch.

"Are you guys ready to push on?"

"I'm good." Jacob said.

"Same here," Emily added.

"Okay, let's finish this little game."

Evan stood in the hall of the building pacing back and forth. A short pudgy man with auburn hair walked up to him from the far room.

"The master will see you now."

"Thank you."

Evan walked into the door and up the stairs. He approached the wooden door and swallowed hard before walking in. Inside was a medium size room with a beautiful red and brown carpet. On the right side were several bookcases and a desk with a laptop running a program he didn't understand? On the left was a pool table along with a fridge and a tall plant. A medium size raptor was tending to it.

"If you're here that means you messed up and looking for a way out correct?" the raptor said not even looking at Evan.

"Yes sir." Evan said, head down.

"Sit."

Evan nodded and sat down on the leather chair. The other raptor walked around to the desk by the fire place and sat down himself.

"Let me hear it," he said crossing his hands under his chin.

Evan explained the situation as the other raptor sat there. When Evan was finished the other

raptor just sat there, eyes showing no kind of emotion.

"You dumb idiot. How could you let yourself get tricked like that?"

"But he......"

"Quiet!" the raptor said causing the fire to expand larger behind him.

Evan flinched and avoided eye contact as the older raptor got up.

"Do you realize what kind of leverage he has on us now?"

"I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing." the raptor said slapping him. "That's all you do."

The raptor walked back and sat down eyes closed.

"You know how hard its going to be to correct this? And even if I do minimize the damage that can be done, if that video comes to light, do you realize how many wrongful death lawsuits could be filed against you and the Faction."

"Yes."

"I thought I was done with this after the Sheryl Miller affair."

He opened his yellow eyes and locked them with Evan.

"I transferred the Faction to you so I wouldn't have to deal with the stress of bullshit like this."

"I understand."

"No you don't. If you did, you wouldn't be here speaking to me."

Evan didn't look up as he kept his head down.

"I'll see what I can do. Don't make me regret my decision son."

"I won't father."

Rick paced back and forth in the hallway. His main target in order to get the information he needed was in his grasp but he was being denied. Amon walked out the door stretching as he saw him.

"What are doing here?"

"Nothing that concerns your ass." Rick said in a growl.

"You're really pushing my buttons boy."

"Back off or you'll regret it. I'm in no mood for you right now. I've got to figure out how to get him without getting Alcuard upset."

"Not that I care, but who are you trying to get?" Amon said drinking some water.

"Daniel Miller's here."

Amon spit out his water and looked at him.

"Are you serious? Daniel Miller is here on this island?"

"Yes."

Amon let a smile on his face. Now was his chance for revenge. Rick looked at him curiously.

"Don't think about doing anything to him. I still need answers."

"And what if I am? What do you intend on doing about it?"

"I'll kill you here and now. He has information I need."

"He's the reason my life is fucked up like it is now."

They both looked at each other; tiny sparks could be seen around them. Amon let out a grunt and rubbed his chin.

"Since we're not going to get anywhere like this, lets compromise."

Rick raised an eyebrow curiously.

"What do you have in mind?"

"Since I'm a summoner for this tournament, I'll summon one of my best monsters to

apprehend him and bring him somewhere."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Try and keep them from sending help. If he manages to get help, everything will be all for nothing."

"And how do I do that?"

"All the people in the tournament have a watch which when pushed, sends a signal to here for them to be picked up. If you can block his signal, I'll do the rest."

Rick crossed his arms and looked at him. He didn't like the idea cause of what happened with the earth element.

"Fine, But don't let what happen with the earth element happen to him."

"It won't. I want to see him suffer before I kill him." Amon said before heading downstairs.

He walked over to a cougar who was sitting at a circle.

"Is this the circle for the advanced zone?"

"Yeah, You here to give me a break?" the cougar asked.

"Yep, I'll take over."

"Cool thanks. I need a break."

The cougar got up and stretched as Amon sat down.

"Now then Daniel Miller, your ass belongs to me."

The imp hit the ground with a thud, blood spilling on the moss covered ground.

"Damn, what's up with all these monsters coming after me?" Dan said.

"I don't know, but I'm getting worried. Maybe we should call it quits?" Emily said.

Dan thought about it. It sounded like a good idea because he was getting a bit tired. He was about to answer when he shivered at a feeling he got.

"What's wrong Daniel?" Jacob asked.

"I don't know. Someone or something is coming."

Everybody stood ready when they felt the ground shake a little. A heavy stomp was heard in the distance as the footsteps got closer. As the footsteps got closer the ground shook more violently. Dan saw the trees bend to the side as a Balor ripped its way through the trees.

"Holy shit." Dan said looking up at it.

It was huge as it took another step, crushing the body of the imp beneath its feet. Its wings were folded around its body like a cape. Pure pitch black eyes looked down at Dan which made him take a step back.

"Oh my god, that's a Balor," Emily said shaking.

"Come on Daniel, we can take it." Jacob said jumping ahead.

"Jacob no," Dan said.

Jacob held his hands apart as column of fire appeared.

"Heavenly fire, burn my enemies to dust, fire storm."

He threw the column of fire as it disappeared under the Balor before erupting upward covering it in a tornado like fire.

"Gotcha," Jacob said happily.

The fire disappeared as quickly as it started as the Balor's eyes were glowing red. Its eyes returned to normal before looking down at Jacob.

"No way, That was my toughest spell."

The Balor held one hand out as a ball of dark fire appeared. It reared back and tossed it full speed as it ripped the ground heading towards Jacob. Dan ran in front of him and held his hands out.

"Ice Wall!"

A wall of thick ice appeared before shattering like glass as the ball impacted it sending Dan flying backwards hitting the ground hard.

"Daniel!!" Emily shouted running towards him.

"Damn, what an impact," Dan said shaking his head.

The Balor extended its wings exposing its massive upper body rippling with muscles. It crossed its arms over its chest as a sword that looked like a lighting bolt covered in flames appeared in its right arm and a flaming whip appeared in the left.

"Emily, take Jacob and go." Dan said standing up.

"But Daniel....."

"Damn it, Emily just do it."

Emily hesitated but closed her eyes and turned away, grabbing Jacob's arm as they took off running.

"Wait, aren't we going to help him?" Jacob said being pulled by Emily.

Emily didn't answer before she stopped, leaned on a tree and cried.

"Emily what's wrong?"

"He can't beat it."

"How do you know? We're not there to watch or help."

"You wouldn't understand."

Jacob heard gunshots in the far distance and balled his fists tightly.

"I'm going back to help."

Jacob started to go back but his eyes got heavy and fell to the ground.

"Jacob?" Emily said.

She didn't get two steps before she felt light headed and went to the ground.

"A sl.....sleep spell. But.....who...."

She heard footsteps approach from behind her as her vision went blurry. The only thing she

saw was a pair of black shoes.

Dan dodged the whip again as it curled around a tree before it burnt to the ground.

"Dammit. How the hell do I bet something like that by myself?"

He aimed his gun as he heard clicking sounds making him curse. The Balor recoiled the whip and gave a smile.

"Funny huh? Well I'm not out of tricks yet."

The air rippled between him as that familiar ebony black blade appeared. He grabbed the handle and spin it a couple of times. Casting an acceleration spell, he glowed with a yellow tint and charged the Balor. He took a leap into the air coming down with all his might. The Balor looked up and raised its sword in defense as a bang could be heard from the connection. Being the stronger of the two, the Balor easily overpowered Dan and sent him flying into a tree making him see stars. He recovered in time to see that flame whip come speeding at him.

"Oh shit, levitation."

Dan took off into the air but wasn't fast enough as it wrapped around his ankle bringing him back down to the ground. He heard a laugh before he got tossed into a tree. He let out a grunt before he go tossed into another tree and another before dropping to the ground.

"Da......dammit," Dan said coughing up blood.

He knew there were at least two bruised or broken ribs. He heard footsteps behind him before he was easily picked up by this behemoth. It looked at him before using the handle of its sword and driving it into his gut causing more blood to come out Dan's mouth before knocking him out with a blow to the head. Having done its job, it disappeared in a column of fire, with Daniel in its hand.

"You didn't kill him did you?"

"No. I told you, I want that honors."

"Fine, Wake him up."

Dan woke up immediately after a cup of ice water was thrown on him. He tried to move but his arms were chained to the wall and he was on his knees. He looked up to see Rick and a person he never thought he see again.

"They let you out? Wow, you must've sucked so really good dick Paul."

Amon walked over and punched him hard in the face making his neck snap back.

"If I had my way, I would've let my Balor kill you."

"So sad, always letting other people do the hard work. You'll always be a fairy."

"You son of a........."

"Stop it." Rick growled angrily.

Amon backed off giving Dan time to see his surroundings. He was in a small warehouse from the looks of it. Lots of cargo boxes lined the floor along with a pallet jack. The smell of salt water was near so he had to be near the ocean. The sound of a chair being pulled up brought his attention back as Rick sat in front of him.

"Now then Daniel Miller, I want answers."

"Haven't we played this game before?"

"Where is Merlin?"

"No clue."

"Stop playing games with me. I'll ask again, where is Merlin?"

"I'll take famous people for five hundred Alex."

Rick's eyes turned into slits as he slapped him hard. Dan let out a growl as he started to build his magic up. As soon as he did, he felt a tight constriction around his throat cutting his air off.

"Don't bother trying to use magic. That collar I put on you will constrict your throat every time you try." Amon said.

Dan let his magic go as his air came back. Rick opened his locket, grabbed Dan's face and showed him the picture.

"He killed my parents. Why are you protecting a murderer?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Stop pretending you don't know what I'm talking about and tell me where he is."

"I told you already, I don't know. Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you."

Rick closed his locket and sat back in the chair.

"I didn't want to do this but I have no choice. Bring them out."

Dan looked behind him to see Owen wheeling Emily and Jacob tied to a chair.

"If anything happens to them, I'll kill you." Dan said angrily.

"Then answer my question, or else."

Owen walked besides Emily and started to run his hands down her shirt making her growl angrily.

"Leave Emily alone you jerk." Jacob snarled.

"Shut up boy," Owen said slapping him.

Dan was livid as he started to build magic up, cutting his air again. Rick just watched him as he built his magic up before he passed out from lack of oxygen.

"We're not getting anywhere like this. Let me kill him now." Amon said.

"No. If we can't get this one to talk, we'll have to get the other one." Rick said standing up.

"How the hell do we do that?"

"I already sent the invitation. We just have to see if he accepts."

Russ paced back and forth in the chief's office as Angel and George looked on.

"He's been gone for two days now. Where is he?" Russ said.

"Emily's with him so he should be okay." Angel said reassuring.

"You know Daniel's always been like this Russ. He'll turn up eventually." George added.

Russ let out a growl of frustration, small bolts of lighting popped and cracked around him. Billy rushed in out of breath holding a paper.

"Russ read this. It arrived just a couple of minutes ago."

Russ grabbed the paper and began to read. Everybody watched his expression go from frustrated to concern. He stopped reading as he closed his eyes, his mind going into overtime.

"Russell, what did it say?" Angel said.

Russ didn't answer as he walked up to Billy and slammed the letter into his chest before leaving. Everybody looked confused at each other before Russell walked back in holding a pair of woman jeans and a tank top. He walked over to the bathroom and stopped to look back.

"If anybody says anything, I'll make them regret it."

He closed the door behind him leaving everybody confused again. White flashes of light could be seen under the door before ending. Everybody was shocked when Russ walked out not himself.

"Russell? Is that you?" Angel said wide eyed.

"Who's Russell? I'm Roxanne," the vixen said blowing her a kiss.

The vixen before them had beautiful blond hair, ice blue eyes and a killer body with a bushy tail attached to it. Billy started laughing causing Roxanne to growl.

"What's so funny Billy? You're next."

"Come again?"

"You're coming with me."

Billy looked confused until a certain smell in the air got both his and George's attention.

"Russell.......you're......in heat?" George said trying to contain himself from pouncing on the vixen before him.

"Yep," Roxanne said winking. "Might give me the edge I need. Now Billy, come here," she said with one finger.

Billy, his head clouded in lust from the smell, nodded his head and followed her into the bathroom. That same white light appeared before a scream was heard.

"Are you fucking serious?" Billy yelled. "No way in HELL am I going out like this."

"You have no choice. Now let's go."

"But why like this?"

"Because I have a plan. Now come on."

Roxanne walked out holding the arm of a female raccoon. Angel had to hold back a laugh as she looked at the scene before her.

"This is too funny. Where are you two going like that?"

"To get Daniel. Let's go "Robin"." Roxanne said pulling Billy out the door.

Angel walked over and grabbed the letter, reading it quickly before gasping.

"Dan's been taken captive and in order to free him, they want Russell to disclose information about Merlin. But I don't see how changing to a woman is going to help?"

"He's......going for........a man's..........weak spot." George said panting hard as the scent of heat lingered in the air. "Can......I have some.......privacy.....Angel?"

"Ummm, sure chief."

Angel got up to leave not before noticing George rush into the bathroom.

"Why are you calling me again?" Alucard said in the limo.

"The tournament is over and we have a winner." Ginyu said.

"Really? What's the name?"

"Owen Craig."

Alucard rubbed his chin feeling some stubble.

"I see. What happened to Daniel Miller?"

"It seems like Amon and Rick teamed up to capture him."

"Those two are actually working together? That's a surprise."

"I know, tell me about it." Ginyu said with a chuckle.

Alucard looked out the window to see a fox walking towards him.

"Hold on Ginyu."

Alucard got out and stood there, hands in his pockets.

"Look Mr. Graves, don't you think you should reconsider the offer?" the fox said.

"Fred, I haven't got to where I am by giving. I got to where I am by doing for me. Regis's father may have started me in the business, but I owe him nothing."

"But what about your failing business?"

"Leave it be."

"But Mr. Graves...."

"This discussion is over," Alucard said, eyes glowed a dark red making Fred shiver.

Fred nodded his head before rushing back inside. Alucard let out a sigh as he sat back in the limo.

"I'm heading back. Try and keep Mr. Miller entertained. I wouldn't want my new apprentice to feel unwelcome."

"Of course, Alucard. We await your arrival."

Russ and Billy arrived at the small wharf on the pier near the run down part of town. He took a peek from the car window at the warehouse where two German Sheppard guards stood guard.

"I can't believe I'm like this," Billy said feeling his transformed breasts.

"Sorry but it was a spur of the moment thinking." Russ said. "I'll get the guards to come over here."

"How?"

"I'm in heat remember? No anthro man can resist me." Russ said in a lusty voice before getting out.

One of the Sheppards let out a yawn and stretched.

"So what does this Russell Miller look like anyway?"

"Beats me." the other one said.

Both of them sniffed the air at the same time before locking their eyes on the vixen. They watched her hips move seductively as her blond hair was blown back from the light breeze.

"Hello boys," Roxanne said walking up. "I was wondering if you can help me and my girlfriend over there. Our car won't start and we're dumb when it come to mechanics. We'll make it worth your time." she said winking.

"Absolutely," they both said panting hard from the intoxicating scent coming from her.

They followed her to the car before quickly being subdued and tied up.

"All right that's done. Now how do we get in?" Billy asked.

Russ thought about it for a minute before smiling and taking his shirt off revealing his perky breasts.

"I have an idea. Follow my lead."

Dan let out another grunt from the blow to the stomach by Amon. Emily and Jacob watched helplessly as Amon gave him another and another.

"Leave him alone you big bully." Jacob said.

Amon laughed and looked at him.

"Leave him alone you say? I haven't even begun to enjoy myself."

Rick had his eyes closed and arms crossed as he sat in the chair.

The sound of the door opening along with giggling made everybody turn as Roxanne walked in.

"Correct."

Roxanne directed her eyes quickly to Robin who untied Emily and Jacob.

"Robin, check our friend Paul for the keys to Dan's chains."

Robin went towards the knocked out Amon and frisked him. Finding them, he undid the chains and collar around his neck.

Rick watched everybody walk past before directing his eyes at Roxanne.

Alcuard got out the limo and walked up the stairs. Entering the building, he took the elevator up to the twentieth floor and got off where a wolf was waiting for him.

Alucard smiled before getting up. The wings on his back expanded before converging on Owen who looked scared.

"Welcome to the Red Courts," Alucard said, his vampire teeth extending to full before he was at Owen's throat.

Angel walked out the room and into Merlin's room where Emily and Dan were.

"The counter spell didn't work. I think he did it wrong because of his concern for Dan and lost concentration. His estrus is very strong, too strong in fact and if he's not mated by midnight, he may die."

"Merlin do you think he should do that?" Emily asked.

"The love between them is deep enough to allow it. They have watched each other from the day they were born. I'm not surprised Dan is going to do this." Merlin said with a smile.
