#9 of The Silver Dragon

Hello SoFurry! :P I could'nt really sleep today so I just stayed up all night. Ate a sandwich, played some games and wrote this story! So hope you like it and I'll apoligize for any spelling errors now because I probably missed something! Thanks for reading and credit to artist! Hope you like it and next one will be up soon probably! :D

The next couple of days were great for Silver and Sky. They got along much better since the incident with his uncle, although they didn't mention it again. Sky taught the dragon more about human technology and they even attempted cooking when his uncle was working, although it ended with a messy kitchen and quite a lot of smoke. He also showed him his MP3 and told him about music and bands he liked, he seemed to enjoy the same music as him so he listened to it for hours and hours.

Sky found it adorable how he reacted to simple objects; he was like a child in a toy shop; running around, overexcited and smiling. He wasn't complaining though, he loved showing him all the things and how they work, and mostly seeing his cute reactions to them. His strange feelings hadn't left rather, they got a lot stronger. Which only confused him more, but he ignored them and distracted himself by playing, talking and generally having a good time with his friend. Little did he know Silver was feeling the exact same way.

The sleeping arrangements however did cause a minor argument, Sky wanted him to sleep on the bed to be sure he was fully recovered, but he wanted the human to sleep on the bed because of his injury. In the end he prevailed by threatening to take Silver's show away- he couldn't say goodbye to the little people on his favourite TV show! After that they made up with a game of their new favourite game; Little big planet.

The days went quickly because they were having so much fun together but it couldn't last. Today was Wednesday and Sky's 2 days off sick were up so had to head back to school.

"BEEP! BEEP!"

Sky opened his eyes and shut off the alarm.

"6:30..."

Sky sat up in the sleeping bag on his floor and sighed,

"It's just like every school day." He glanced over to the cute dragon snoring in his bed. "Except now I have a friend, now I have a reason to wake up in the morning!"

Feeling happy and content he jumped out of the sleeping bag and carefully folded it up to store. He was careful not to wake Silver up, he didn't know what a grumpy dragon was like in the morning and he didn't want to find out!

He quietly left his room and went into the bathroom; he preformed his usual morning routine. Have a shower, brush his teeth, and get changed. It wasn't exciting- but getting ready for school wasn't supposed to be. He walked into his room after his shower and saw Silver sitting up in the bed. He smiled when he saw Sky walk in and said good morning. He smiled back as he grabbed his uniform and left the room to get changed.

Silver woke up and saw his friend walk in the room, they exchanged morning pleasantries and he watched the human grab some clothes and leave the room. He yawned and stretched his arms and wings, they felt cramped because he hasn't been able to fly in a few days; well he couldn't without being seen anyway. Not that it matters, he's been having too much fun with Sky to notice anyway!

He slipped out of bed and got into his clothes. Sky had been kind enough to wash and repair his clothes so he actually had something to wear. He was a really kind human, also funny, smart and...

Silver shook his head. He didn't want to get into this now. His feelings confused him enough already and he didn't have the patience to deal with it so early in the morning. So he ignored them and finished getting dressed. Just as he finished his friend knocked and asked if he was dressed. He replied,

"Yup! You can come in now!"

Silver noticed that he was in different clothes that usual, a lot smarter. Sky noticed the confused look obviously because he told him,

"These are my school clothes. I have to go to school today. Sorry but I can't stay off longer."

Silver was disappointed, he wanted to play games and watch TV with his friend today, but obliviously it can't be helped.

"So I have to stay here alone then?" He asked, already knowing the answer.

"Yeah, sorry I'll be back at 4o'clock though!" Silver put on a fake smile. He didn't want to wait that long for him to finish school but it was necessary, and he didn't want Sky to feel bad for leaving here alone. He noticed him suddenly leave the room and quickly return with some food. Silver's face lit up, it was sandwiches! The first human food he had tried and he loved them! He figured the human was trying to cheer him up,

"How sweet! Plus I could use some breakfast! He knows me so well!"

So they shared some sandwiches and talked for a bit until it was 7o'clock then Sky said he could play for an hour before he had to go. A large grin crept across Silver's face and they both knew what it meant,

"To the PSE!" Silver shouted.

"It's PS3 Silver not PSE. And calm down!"

"Fine. To the PS3!" He replied.

Sky just shook his head and handed the dragon a controller. Now that he understood the concept that they weren't real people, they played Call of Duty for a while. Silver sucks at it though and gets angry whenever he gets shot. Once he even managed to kill the human and did a triumphant snort, but about 20 seconds later that was replaced with an angry pouting and he rage quit the game. Sky just laughed and turned paused the game,

"Well you have all day to practise!" He snickered.

"Ha-ha funny. Just wait I'll whoop your ass later!" Silver replied and gave him a smug smile.

He laughed again,

"Well I'll hold you to that! See you later!"

Silver said his farewell to his friend and un-paused the game to hone his shooting skills, he was going to beat him and rub his face in it! He wasn't going to lose this time! So he continued to play as the hours flew passed, kill after kill.

Sky's day was different to his usual school days, he was actually smiling for most of it, he was thinking about the dragon the entire day. He was going to beat him and rub his cute dragon face in it! This new attitude must have been good for him as a few people actually said hi to him. Usually they just ignored him or whispered behind his back. He was actually enjoying school a little bit and if was great that things were actually going well for him. But sadly it didn't last.

Lunch time came rolling round the corner and Sky bid farewell to the people that had bee talking to him a bit today. They were ok and quite friendly but he wanted to go to his usual spot to do some thinking and eat his lunch. He was oblivious to what was about to happen.

He had sat on the wall eating a sandwich with his music in. Same a usual. He liked eating sandwiches now because it reminds him of his first meeting with the dragon whom he is such great friends with now. He was so caught up in his thoughts he had forgot about one thing, the group of boys that claimed his spot and that happened to be approaching him...
