Sky only caught a glimpse of a group of people before he was knocked over and a sharp pain blasted through his head as it hit the concrete. He felt dizzy and his vision was hazy but he recognized the figure towering above him. Total terror shook his body as he realised his mistake, he had forgotten about the group of boys! He managed to lean up before he felt another powerful blow to his skull before he passed out.

The boys continued to brutally attack Sky while he was unconscious until he was battered and bleeding then one of them smugly said,

"That'll teach you to think you're a big-shot!"

"Yeah!" Another added.

A devilish smile stretched across the Head's sons face as an idea formed in his head and he told the other boys what to do. They smiled in unison.

"Yeah! Great plan!"

"But we'll have to be quick! Lunch is over soon!"

"Yeah, yeah, let's go already then!" So they grabbed Sky's limp, unconscious body and dragged him off outside school bounds to complete their heinous plan.

Silver put down the controller and rubbed his hand,

"These controllers's were designed for human hands, He moaned. It's painful to play for so long!"

He had been home alone all day, be he didn't mind. He knew his friend would be home soon and besides, he had lots to do anyway. The hours had flown by and he had no idea how, these machines the human invented sure are time consuming! It was nearly half 3 and he hadn't really moved all day.

"Wow, it's that time already! Sky will be home soon!"

A big, excited grin filled his face at mention of Sky; he couldn't wait for him to come home! He was also curious to what human school was like too. Like did they have the same lessons? Well he knew there weren't flying lessons obliviously, they didn't have wings! Or maybe they had a machine for flying?

He looked around, he didn't see anything that looked like a flying device, but than again he didn't what half the stuff was in Sky's room anyway. He decided to switch off the TV and snoop around his friends stuff. He looked in the desk and found some hand-drawn pictures with the humans name on. He glanced at them, they were amazing!

There were so many creatures in these pictures, hydras, snakes, lizards, most were mythical creatures; more specifically most were dragons. One picture surprised him though, it was him! He was very confused, when had he drawn this? They were together almost all day! He was twice as shocked when he looked at the date scribbled at the side. He drew this picture a week before they met!

He didn't get it. How could someone draw a picture of a person they have never met? And why didn't he tell him about it?

"Maybe" Silver thought. "Maybe, he thought it was too strange to mention and didn't want me to think he was weird. It makes sense. But still, he should have just told me."

He decided to put them back and try to get answers when Sky returns from school. He neatly arranged them and slid them back into the drawer. He noticed something on the desk when he got up. He smiled as he picked it up and realised what it was, it was a picture of him and Sky.

Yesterday, when they were watching the TV they were both watching Silver's favourite show and Sky left to use the bathroom. There was a sudden flash and Silver was blinded. He turned, rubbing his eyes and noticed a strange contraption in the human's hands. He had been told it was called a camera and took these things called "photos". Basically perfect 2D copies of things they were looking at when they had pushed the button at the top.

So they had gotten behind the camera and smiled for a picture together. Once Sky had done some technical stuff he brought in 2 small copies of the picture and handed one to Silver. He loved the picture, His friend had his arm around his neck and they both wore big smiles. Sky had told him that it was so they would never forget that moment. Silver kind of thought of it as a permanent copy of that memory. And he treasured it.

Sky had put one in his wallet and his was on the desk so he didn't lose it. he had said that later today, he would go out and get Silver a wallet too. He didn't understand why he needed it but he loved gifts from his friend so he accepted the offer anyway.

He really loved the time they spent together, though short it felt like forever. Sky had mentioned that the stranger "Light" would return to get him, but he secretly hoped he didn't. He would rather stay here, with his great friend. Were he is truly happy. He did miss home, especially since he could actually go outside without causing a commotion, but this world was great! With so many things to do and new experiences, he never wanted to leave. Besides no one wanted him back home anyway...

Sky was still unconscious, the group of boys had decided to take him into a field and tie him to a lonely tree. Then they had left him all alone there. He was dreaming, more of a nightmare. He was shivering, shaking like a leaf. And was in a cold sweat. He dreamed that the police found out about Silver and that they came to his house and broke down the door. He tried to stop them, but the man pulled out a pistol and shot the dragon through the chest.

He stood there and watched, his best friend. His only friend, fall to the ground and lay there motionless in a pool of blood. It was too much for him to handle. Tears streamed down his face as he grieved the dragon. He would never see the dragons dazzling eyes again. His caring voice. His beautiful smile. He couldn't bear to think of it. He just knelt above the dragon's body, crying. The police tried to get him away but he wouldn't budge.

"Why.....Why..........Why..." He just kept repeating.

"Kid, you need to get out of here." One of the policemen said as they picked Sky up.

He punched him in the face and took his gun.

"Kid! What are you doing!?" Sky stood there, he had nothing to live for, and the only thing that meant anything to him had been ripped away. He knew what he had to do. He pointed the gun at his head.

"KID STOP, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" The policemen shouted but he didn't listen, "Silver. I'll see you soon." He whispered and then pulled the trigger.

Sky woke up, breathing heavily. He didn't know where he was or how he got here. He was just glad to be out of that horrible dream. He couldn't imagine what he would do without Silver; he was the only thing he had left in his life.

His frantic thoughts were interrupted by a wave of immense pain suddenly flowing through his body. He was bleeding, bruised and he was sure he had broken 2 fingers. He couldn't do anything he was tied up and alone. He tried shouting but no-one came and his chest hurt too much to try again. What was he going to do? He couldn't get himself out; he was in too much pain to even move. And he was in the middle of nowhere so no-one was likely to help him.

He just started to cry.

"Why does this happen to me? Just when I finally felt happy! WHY?!"

He shouted. He didn't expect an answer, but how is this fair? He was nice and didn't exactly go around being horrible to everyone, so why do bad things always happen to him?

He just silently sat there, sobbing. He wanted Silver to come rescue him. To be his hero. But he didn't expect him to know where he was anyway. He wanted nothing more to see the dragon fly over, wearing his beautiful smile and to fall into his arms. He just shut his eyes; he didn't want to look at anything anymore. He just sat there and returned to his tormented dreams...
