Chapter 22- Monster

Lucas sighed as he got up... he really didn't want to. He would've been happy to never get out of bed again... but he was so hungry. He now somewhat regretted not taking up on Ian's offer for breakfast, but he felt so drained that morning. Still did, but he really needed to eat. He tried not to think of what had happened earlier. What time was it anyway? He found his cell-phone and saw it was around one in the afternoon. No wonder his stomach was growling. He sighed as he got dressed, not really caring how he looked. He was a monster, so why did it matter? His heart broke at that... he was a monster, and a failure. He wiped away the tears from his cheeks before he walked out the door. He figured the others would be at school, so he thought he could make himself something to eat.

He quietly walked upstairs and noticed that Jordan was sitting in the living room on his laptop. He seemed to be in the middle of something important since he was also talking into his cell-phone which was propped up against his pointed ear. He stood there for a few minutes before the older man noticed him. With a tiny smile he ended his conversation with the other person and hung up his cell-phone. He got up and walked towards the young fox, surprising Lucas when he embraced him.

"Good to see you up and about Lucas, how are you feeling?" The tall wolf asked him while his arms were still wrapped around Lucas' body.

He felt so warm and smelled so much like Ian it made his heart hurt. He was worried that the tall wolf would not like him anymore. He wouldn't blame the wolf, he was a monster after all, and monsters didn't deserve friends or lovers. "I'm feeling fine sir, just hungry," Hhe told the old wolf calmly.

Jordan just frowned at him, "I would say, you've been cooped up in Ian's room all day. Erin is in the kitchen now fixing lunch. Go and see if she'll whip you up something...Jordan paused for a minute, looking Lucas in the face, "Are you okay son? You look a bit ill. Do you have a fever?" He asked putting his paw on Lucas' forehead. "No, your temperature seems fine. Well, after you eat be sure to get some more rest," he told the fox kindly.

Lucas only thanked the older man for his kindness before he left the room and found himself in the kitchen. He didn't see Erin but he did here a strange voice speak.

"Hey, are you the Lucas boy everybody keeps on talking about?" Lucas jumped and quickly turned around to see the speaker. It was a tall dingo around maybe178cm or so... he had reddish-tan fur and bright burning amber eyes. His ears were pierced and he noticed a black chocker around the dingo's throat. He was pretty handsome, but something about his aura made Lucas feel a bit ill.

"Who're you?" He asked the dingo coldly once he recovered from the shock.

The dingo only chuckled a bit before he bothered answering, "Names Jonah, so are you Lucas? Hmm... kinda see why you got Mansfield all smitten... you're quite a cutie..." He said with a small smirk. This made Lucas blush a bit and the dingo just laughed harder.

Erin herself popped up a second later, exiting what looked like a massive pantry, "What's so funny?" She asked the dingo who just rolled his eyes and shook his head not saying anything. Erin just shrugged before turning to Lucas with a tiny smile on her muzzle. She looked a bit tired but she looked much better than he did. "Hey Brother glad your finally up! Are you hungry?" she asked him kindly.

Lucas only nodded slightly.

Erin just nodded before she spoke again, "Why don't you two go to the dining room? I'll fix a few sandwiches or something." She told the two boys, shooing them out of the kitchen.

They eventually found themselves in the dining room. Lucas just slumped into one of the chairs while Jonah stood in one of the corners of the room and resumed his staring. Lucas was beginning to become a bit unnerved... He could gleam very little from those bright golden eyes. This continued for a little bit before Lucas found he had enough and spoke up.

"Do I have something on my face?" He asked the dingo in a self-conscious manner.

The dingo only chuckled at that, "Besides those weird black spots under your eyes? No, I just wanted to see the kit who has the heir to the Mansfield clan so enamoured." He muttered mostly to himself. "You are quite cute really. Must be a great fuck I bet..."

This caused Lucas' face to burn a vivid red. He looked away from the dingo who was laughing quite hard at the fox's reaction. "What? Oh, you're still a virgin ain't yah?" He asked and Lucas could only nod in complete humiliation. His ears were turned back in submission.

Thankfully Erin walked in just in time and looked at Jonah with a strange look, "Really, what's so funny? I could use a laugh or two..." She asked the dingo once again, but Jonah just shook his head and walked out of the room. "Hey wait! Where are you going?" she asked him.

He just ignored her as he left the room. She just sighed a bit before turning towards Lucas. He noticed she was holding a large plate of sandwiches, "Here, eat up..." she told him kindly as she laid it down in front of him. Like a starving man he quickly started to devour them like crazy. Erin had sat down and watched him with the same odd look in her eyes, "How are you feeling Luc?" she eventually asked him.

"I'm feeling fine..." He said without much conviction.

Erin noticing this frowned, "You're lying Luc, how are you really feeling? To be honest you kinda look like shit." Lucas just gave her a small glare which she happily ignored.

He sighed and put his head in his paws before he mumble, "I feel like shit to be honest."

Erin sighed and sat down in the seat facing him and put her own paw on Lucas' head patting it gently, "It wasn't your fault you know, mom's death." She told him softly. "Nobody blames you. It was completely out of your control..." She told him.

"Even if it wasn't, I killed people Erin, I slaughtered them." He said trying to swallow the lump that formed in his throat. "I'm a monster..." He could barely make out Erin's sigh but he felt her paw grip around his own.

"You're not a monster Luc, I killed that Lion remember?" She said shivering slightly. "And I don't regret it. He and his cohorts would've killed us all. What you did was in self-defence; nobody would've held what you did what you did against you. They deserved what they got if you ask me." She told him simply.

"You don't understand Erin! I enjoyed killing them! I enjoyed their screams of pain and terror...I was having fun!" He shouted. "What kind of normal person would enjoy doing those things!?"

"You aren't a monster Luc, you hear me!" Erin stated her voice rising slightly, "The thing that proves you aren't is that you regret doing what you did! The guilt is tearing you apart! If you were a monster you wouldn't be feeling the guilt you do now." Her voice lowered somewhat. "Stop blaming yourself Lucas." She told sternly.

"Have you called dad yet?" He asked trying to get the conversation off of him.

She just shook her head sadly and wrapped her arms around her body, "No, I haven't... what can I say? Mom's dead?" she said mostly to herself, "I'll call him later though I promise!"

"I can call him if you want," he offered half-heartedly. He really didn't want to speak to their father right now, not when he was still grieving. But if it would save Erin trouble he would do it in an instant. She gave him a bright smile but her eyes didn't shine the way they usually did. She must have been taking their mom's death as hard as he was. Another wave of guilt went through his stomach, but he was taken out of his thoughts when Erin spoke.

"No, you called him last time, it's my turn... I'll call him later I promise." She told him sadly her ears drooping a bit. "But yeah, don't blame yourself big brother. You've got enough on your plate as it is." She said getting up and stretching. "I'll take this and go wash it. You got get some rest okay?" She said as she scooped up his plate and glass and walked out of the room humming a tune to herself.

Lucas sat alone for a few minutes until his thoughts started to drift to the wolf who had taken him in. His heart lurched a bit. Ian must have thought he was a freak... not that he'd blame the wolf if he did...

He sighed again before getting up and stretching himself. He still felt somewhat tired but he didn't want to be in that room alone... not where he could smell Ian's all around him... Maybe he could take a nap on the couch downstairs? It was comfy enough and he was small enough to be comfortable. He sighed again as he started to walk out of the door. He had passed Jonah again, but neither of them acknowledged the other and he found himself at the entrance to the stairs before...

"You failed me Lucas," he heard a familiar voice say. The fur on the back of his neck stood on end. He turned around and saw his mother standing behind him. She had a massive wound on her chest and it was still bleeding. Her vivid blue eyes regarded his icily.

"Mo-mom?" he asked shakily.

"You let me die Lucas!" His mother shouted at him causing him to wince.

"I'm sorry mom... I tried..." He muttered faintly but she quickly interrupted him.

"Well you didn't try hard enough!" She shouted causing Lucas to wince even more and his ears to droop again.

He looked down unable to look at her. Noticing this she sneered at him. "Look at me Lucas! This is what I am because of you! You've always been a disappointment." She stated coldly. "First you were a freak and then you turned out to be a faggot!" Lucas winced once again and tears started to fall, "A filthy faggot that is what you are! Useless stupid and worthless that is all you are!" She stated. Noticing his tears her horrible sneer got wider. "Are you crying faggot? How pathetic. I do not see what that boy sees in you. You're such a cry baby! Always have been! A weak little baby!"

Lucas backed away somewhat, his tears flowing freely down his face, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" He cried out. "I'm sorry I'm such a failure! Please forgive me mother please!" He cried but she frowned and walked and spat in his face.

"No!" She told him before she pushed him. He fell back and over the stairs, crying out as he started falling. He heard a crack and felt a sharp feeling of pain in his arm. Another snap and there went his leg as on an on he fell until he hit the floor with a loud crash. He barely stayed awake but the immense amount of pain he felt throughout his body made him wish he weren't. He was completely unable to move. He heard shouting before he felt somebody pick him up and heard a panicked voice.

"Lucas? Oh god Lucas! I'll call an ambulance!" He heard someone yell. Erin? "Well get you help Lucas stay with me please!" He heard her beg before he finally gave up on staying awake letting the darkness claim him....

~~~~
Erin had barely taken in the last hour. She was in the kitchen washing dishes when she heard a loud crashing noise coming from where the stairs were. Her heart stopped briefly. 'Lucas!' She thought to herself before she dropped the plate she was washing into the sink and ran to the stairs. She noticed Jonah coming from the stairs carrying Lucas' badly battered body. His right arm and left leg were both twisted into odd angles. "Lucas?" She yelled in shock and saw he wasn't responding. "Oh god Lucas!" she shouted taking out her cell-phone. "I'll call an ambulance!" She said before shouting at Lucas. "We'll get you help Lucas, stay with me please!" She cried out when she heard someone pick up the phone, "Yes! I need an ambulance! My brother is hurt! Please!" She shouted at the person, "What?" she asked the man. "The address? Um... 213 Vancouver Ave..." She paused again. "Okay thank you..." she said before hanging up. She then turned towards Jonah, "What happened?"
"He fell down the stairs... I didn't push him if that's what you're thinking!" he told her seeing the accusing look in her eyes. "You might think I'm an asshole and you'd be right, but I won't hurt somebody for the hell of it."
Erin just nodded and sighed before she heard Jordan and the two GC members ran into the run into the room.
"What is that racket?" He asked them before he saw Lucas hanging in Jonah's arms. The fox looked very pale underneath his already white fur and his breathing was shallow. "What happened?" He asked them again, horrified at the sight.
Jonah sighed as if annoyed about explaining things again but did so anyway, "The kit fell down the stairs... I was in the bathroom taking a piss when I heard a lot of crashing. Curious I went to see what happened and saw him crumpled up on the floor..." He explained without much emotion. "I picked him and Angel-cheeks came a running," he said winking towards Erin who glared at him. She did not want to be connected to angels in any way shape or form. Completely ignoring her glare he continued. "She called an ambulance already old man, they should be here shortly. Besides, the Canadians have free health care don't they?" he asked Erin who nodded quietly.
"Yeah, I believe so..." She stated meekly. Eventually the ambulance finally arrived and loaded Lucas up into one of the gurneys and placed him in it. Erin herself rode with him. Jordan and Jonah were driving in the car behind them. Jordan had called the school and apparently sent one of the GC members Agent Wilson she thought... the raccoon from breakfast that drove the others to school. Eventually they managed to make it to the hospital and Lucas was rushed into the ER. She started pacing for a bit trying to think on what to do... she was sitting in Lucas' room, but she couldn't even look at him without nearly breaking down into tears. Seeing him attached to all those machines just made her feel ill. The room was terribly plain, sterile and boring she hated it.
"Calm down will you?" she heard the newly familiar Australian accented voice tell her. She turned around and glared at the dingo who was calmly lounging in one of the chairs as if he owned the room. His bright golden eyes fixed on her with an indifferent almost bored look in them. "The Doc's will fix him up so no worries aye?"
"I'll calm down when he wakes up..." She told him firmly and he shrugged. She sighed a bit before turning back around, "Hey, I'm going to make a call okay? Come and get me if they say anything about Lucas." She said walking off before he could give her a retort. Once she was out of the hospital she took out her phone and sighed. It was now or never really, so she quickly dialled a familiar number and let it ring for a bit.
As was usual of him, her dad answered on the third ring, "What is it now?" he asked coldly and she whimpered.
"Daddy," she said softly. Even now after finding out what he did to her and Lucas she felt safe hearing his voice...
"Yes Erin? Listen honey it's late and I'm tired so can you spit it out so I can go back sleep?"
She nodded before she let it spill out, "Mom's dead and Luc's in the hospital..." She blurted out.
"What!? What do you mean? Marie... she can't be..." his voice broke there a bit before he regained control,
"Explain, now!" He ordered.
"Mom... she was kidnapped by the Cabal... we tried to get her out but a scuffle broke out. She was killed in the process..." She explained trying to keep herself from crying in the middle of the hospital grounds.
"You and Lucas tried to fight the Cabal by yourselves? Are you two insane?! You could've gotten yourself killed!" He shouted at her angrily.
"We had Ian and the others help... and I know it was stupid... but yeah it happened..." She told him calmly.
"And what about Lucas... he didn't try and kill himself again did he?"
The way it was said so simply made her growl somewhat, "No, he didn't try and kill himself this time... and he wouldn't have tried to do so in the first place if you had been there! When he needed you most you weren't there! You or mom!" she yelled into the phone causing people to give her odd looks. "You were never there for either of us..." She muttered sadly.
"I'm sorry dear but what did you want me to do? Give up my career?" he asked in a pained voice.
Erin just sighed and shook her head. "Of course not, I'd never ask you to do that... but all I asked is for you to come home and stay home once in a while..." she told him sadly, "We need you home dad, now more than ever."
She heard her father sigh on the other end of the phone before he spoke again, "Very well, I'll be heading home right away... I just... I just need to accept Marie is gone..." His voice broke somewhat when he said that but he quickly regained control over himself. "Even though we had grown apart over the years I have always loved your mother. And despite my deception I love you and your brother as well. I hope you can forgive my sins, because I did what I thought was best for you and your brother..."
"I don't know if I can ever forgive you dad... I know for sure Lucas won't... It will take a long time before either of us to trust you again." She told him firmly. "But we still need you here..." She barely made out her father's sigh before he spoke again.
"I guess you do... I will call Marie's parents and tell them of their daughter's passing... they never liked me and I never cared much for them either," he mumbled, "But they still need to know."
"So I'll finally be able to meet Grandpa and Grandma?" She asked curious. Having never met either set of grandparents made her curious about her extended family. From what her mom had said, they'd wanted nothing to do with them.
"I guess you do..." He muttered in a sour tone. "At the funeral... we'll begin arrangements when I get back home... are you and Lucas still staying with that Mansfield boy?"
"Yeah, we are... the house is a wreck..."
"Very well, it's late dear and I'm very tired so I bid you adieu." He said before hanging up.
Erin sighed as she sat down on the near-by bench and put her head in her paws. She was very tired... she hadn't been sleeping real well. She kept on having those damn nightmares... she probably would've fell asleep right then and there if somebody hadn't interrupted her.
"You alright sweet-cheeks?" she heard someone ask. She looked up and saw Jonah standing in front of her with a cigarette hanging out of his muzzle unlit.
"You do realize smoking is bad for your health right?" She told him calmly.
He just chuckled and looked around before he lit the tip of his finger to light the cigarette. He took a puff of it nonchalantly before he took it out and spat a bit of smoke towards her. "I really don't give a shit so save the health lecture please." He told her curtly. "We all have our bad habits, so what if I'm killing my lungs? I really don't give a shit." Jonah said.
"Fine by me, just don't come running to me when you get cancer..." Erin told the dingo in an indifferent tone.
She saw Jonah stiffen sharply before glaring hard at her. Making her wonder what she said to make him so angry? He leaned in close to, her his golden eyes lining up to her blue. "My health is my business Angel, so please butt out..."
Erin was about to tell him not to call her that before she was interrupted by a sudden very loud noise....
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHERE LUCAS IS!?" The voice sounded angry and Erin instantly recognized the voice. "Well, I guess Ian and the others are here..." She said to Jonah who just rolled his eyes,
"Kinda obvious isn't it? He is pretty loud isn't he?"
Erin laughed at that. He was pretty loud... "Yeah, but come-on, let's get in there before Ian hits the attendant..." she said as she headed into the hospital while Jonah followed right behind her.
~~~~

Ian didn't know how long he cried... nearly half an hour at least, but he couldn't find himself to care. He'd failed Lucas again! He wasn't there for only a few hours and the fox was in the hospital! What a shitty boyfriend he was! Hell he was a shitty friend in general it seemed. He had promised to keep the fox safe, but he kept on failing. He probably would've kept on crying if he hadn't felt a warm paw on his shoulder. He looked up and saw Xander leaning in front of him. Worry painted in his bright green eyes.

"You okay Ian?" he asked him softly.

Ian just growled at the other fox for asking such a dumbass question. And he was supposed to be smart? "No, I'm not okay Xander! Lucas is in the hospital, how'd you expect me to feel dammit!" He snarled into the smaller boys face. Xander winced and drew back a bit hurt at Ian's outburst. Ian saw both Greg and Richard give him harsh looks before Richard spoke out.

"That was low Ian... Xander was only trying to be nice. No need to flip out on him!" He told his older brother coolly. "I know you are worried about Lucas brother, but you have no right to take it out on Xander here."

Greg silently nodded in agreement and Ian began to feel guilty about snapping at the fox, "You're right..." He stated sadly looking towards Xander who refused to look him in the eye. "I'm sorry Xan, I made a jackass out of myself."

"That is not very hard Mansfield," he heard a cool voice say from behind him. He turned and saw a very familiar coyote girl holding what looked like several folders. He noticed Richard seemed to blush a bit and smiled. Did his brother really have a crush on this girl? He didn't seem like a masochist, but who knew? Richard was the one to address her first of course.

"Hey Monet, you vanished where'd you go?" He asked her in a curious tone.

"I went to gather the homework for the remaining classes... for all of us. So it took me awhile. So what happened? Why is Mansfield crying? Did something happen to Mason?" She asked her voice softening somewhat.

Xander surprisingly was the one to speak up, "He's in the hospital, not sure why but I guess we'll find out. Mr. Jordan is sending one of the agents to pick us up..."

Monet nodded calmly but Ian noticed she had a very small frown on her features. She then looked around the room for a bit, "Where is the Headmaster? I believe this is his office so why is he not here?"

"When Ian started crying we told him we'd take care of him and he left..." Greg stated calmly. "But thank you for getting our homework Monet; that was very kind of you." Monet just nodded softly not bothering to reply.

Eventually Agent Wilson, the same raccoon from earlier picked them up and they were on their way to the hospital. Ian was a twitchy mess during the drive and kept on telling the Agent to speed up or something. Thankfully Monet managed to override his orders and told the raccoon to just go at the speed limit. After what seemed like an eternity they finally arrived to the hospital. As soon as they parked Ian burst out of the car and ran right into the waiting room not even bothering to wait for the others. He must have given the young otter boy who was running the room quite a fright because he gave quite the jump when Ian slammed his paws on the desk and yelled. He looked to be about twenty or so but Ian really couldn't tell or care.

"Can you tell me where Lucas Mason is? I'm a friend of his from school..."

"I'm sorry sir but I cannot let you see Mr. Mason..."

This made Ian nearly explode in a towering rage and he bellowed out, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHERE LUCAS IS!?"

This caused the poor otter to wince at the volume. He managed to speak up though his voice was very shaky afraid the big wolf would try something, "I'm sorry sir, but we can only let family members in to see our patients in the ICU... unless you are one of his emergency contacts I cannot tell you where he is or how he is doing."

Ian snarled at the otter and was sorely tempted to jump over the damned counter and force this stupid otter to tell him where Lucas was... at least he was before he felt someone grab his arm. He turned around snarling to see Erin standing behind him. Jonah was a little ways back looking at the whole situation in mild interest.

"Nice teeth Ian, but calm down will you? You're going to get yourself thrown out of the hospital..." She then turned around to face the otter who seemed to be hiding under the desk...poor guy. "Hey, he's with me so I'll take over okay?" She gently told the otter who timidly nodded afraid to look Ian in the eye. She then quickly turned back towards him. "Where are the others...?" She asked him.

"We're right here!" Xander said running up to catch up to them. Once he did he leaned over to catch his breath before he spoke again, "Greg's pretty pissed at you Ian," he said kindly. "He's not happy about you up and running without him there. Monet and Richard are trying to calm him down, so they'll be awhile... they just sent me ahead..." He informed the wolf before turning towards Erin and Jonah.

"Hey you guys!" Erin gave him a cheerful wave while Jonah seemed to completely ignore him and refused to respond to the fox. Ian just sighed. He had a feeling Greg was going to give him hell once the tiger got a hold of him, so he wasn't looking forward to that. But he decided to talk to Erin again.

"So can you take me to Lucas?" He asked her in an almost pleading tone.

"Sure, follow me!" She said walking into the hallway. The entire room was a maddening shade of white, and Ian was beginning to grow a bit uncomfortable so he gladly followed her into the ER. They walked in silence for a bit before they found themselves outside a room. Before she opened it she looked at Ian sadly, "He's pretty beat up so don't freak out okay?" She told him calmly.

"What happened?" Was all Ian could ask. He was tired of being in the shadows about this whole thing.

Erin briefly looked away before she answered him. "He fell down the stairs, I'm not sure how he did it exactly but I think he might've tripped. But yeah he's not in the best shape... but please don't freak out because we don't need you thrown out of the hospital..." And then opened the door and Ian nearly burst into tears again.

Lucas was lying on the bed unconscious and was attached to a venerator to help him breathe. He had several bandages around his head and his right arm and left leg were both wrapped tightly in casts and he looked pretty badly bruised from what Ian could see. "Yeah, I'll leave you alone for a bit okay? I'm going to get the others... I'm considering asking Allison if she can heal him..." She said before walking out of the door dragging Xander along with her and shut it behind Ian.

He just stood there for a bit before he sighed and got a seat and placed it beside Lucas' bed. When he sat down he grabbed onto Lucas' uninjured hand and gripped it tight.

"I failed you again Lucas..." He stated dully. "No matter how hard I try I keep on failing to keep you safe." He said as he felt tears start to run down his face. "I'm a terrible boyfriend aren't I? No matter how hard I try I can't ever seem to do right by you," he said squeezing the paw in his own tighter.

He sat there in silence until he heard the door open and an older male voice ask him something. "Who are you?"

Ian quickly turned towards the voice. It was a tall gorilla man wearing a typical lab-coat and a stethoscope around his next. He was also holding a clip-board.

"I'm Ian, Lucas is a friend from school... his sister just left a few minutes ago. She told me I could sit here until she gets back." He told the man. "And who are you?"

"Dr. Azikiwe... I'm the doctor assigned to treat the boy," the gorilla answered.

"Alright..." Ian said reluctantly refusing to budge from Lucas' side.

The doctor noticed this and sighed, "I'll need to check up on the boy so please," he stated politely but Ian only shook his head and stayed where he was. The doctor seemed to be growing annoyed but Ian could not really give a darn. He wasn't going anywhere until Lucas woke up. He didn't give a shit what anyone said or though he would make sure he was the first person the fox saw... seeing the boy refusing to move made the doctor sigh in an irritated way.

"Listen boy, I need to do my job so I need you to move!" He told the damned wolf in a firm tone but the wolf just shook his stubbornly and once again refused to move. He was very near calling security when he heard a bit of noise coming from the hallway.

"Grr, that stupid wolf! What is he playing at running into the hospital all alone!?" Ian's ears perked up as he recognized that voice... looked like Greg had calmed down a bit...

"He was worried about Lucas, Greg... and he's fine, I was there." He heard Erin speak up softly.

Greg just sighed before he spoke his voice slightly calmer, "You don't understand Erin; protecting Ian is my entire purpose in life. If I lose him I might as well not be living... don't look at me like that! It's my duty to serve the Mansfield's and guard Ian, it always has been."

"Yes, we understand it is your duty Moore, but Mansfield needs to learn to stand on his own two paws. One day he will take over the family and he will be responsible for the running of the country. You cannot do the ruling for him..." That had to be Monet...

"Oh, I was going to ask you Allison... do you think you could heal him?" Erin's voice again. This time she had a slightly pleading edge to her voice.

He heard Monet sigh before she spoke, "I will see what I can do Erin."

Ian and the doctor turned to see the door open. In came the others. Xander was the first one in while Greg was the last Jonah was oddly absent. The look in the tiger's eyes made Ian gulp...He would probably get it when they got home...

"Hello, are you relatives of my patient?" The gorilla asked in an almost exasperated tone.

Monet went up to him and look him right in the eye. "No, only the vixen is related to your patient. But I am here to take the boy off your hands..."

The doctor gave her a critical look before he started to speak sarcasm dripping from his voice. "And why should I leave my patient in your care child?" He asked her, empathizing the word child.

Monet just glared at him before she spoke. Irritation coloured her tone somewhat and Ian wondered if it was at being called a child? "Listen Doctor..." she said before looking at the man's nametag, "Azikiwe, I am a healer. I respect Modern Medicine but I believe I could handle this better. Plus I was personally asked by his sister to help."

The Gorilla just snorted somewhat in annoyance, "I know you healers; think you know better than us doctors. I've been working as a doctor longer then you've been alive child, I don't have time for faith healers..."

That made Monet give the man a frosty glare which made him step back somewhat without knowing it. She continued to glare at them man before she spoke her voice frostier then Ian had ever heard it before.

"I am not a faith healer!" She stated calmly, "I do not contact any God to do my work. I am required to have an advanced understanding of the body and how it works to do my job... Faith Healers merely pray to get things done. Even us traditional healers look down on them. My master is Luo Huang, I believe you have heard of him? He is quite well known to the medical community and runs a clinic downtown. You should know that he would never take a novice under his teachings."

The man just sniffed disdainfully before he spoke, "Oh I heard of him... do what you wish... I have other patients." He said before he stomped out of the room grumbling to himself.

Monet then turned towards Ian and Lucas.

"I will need you to move Mansfield, and unlike the Doctor I will use force if you do not."

Ian snarled at her but moved aside somewhat to let her do what she needed to do. Once she approached the sleeping fox she raised her hands which started to glow a pale green, as did Lucas' body. Ian could only watch as Lucas' injuries slowly fade away. He winced a few times as he heard the cracks and popping of bones realigning themselves. Eventually all of Lucas injuries seemed to be completely healed and Monet went a bit wobbly before Richard grabbed her and sat her down on one of the remaining seats.

"You okay?" he asked her kindly and she nodded.

"Yes, I just used a lot of Chi is all, I will be fine though so no need to worry... Mason should be fine. All we have to do is wait for him to awaken."

Ian looked her in the eye before he asked her, "How long will that be?"

She just shrugged a bit, "I do not know, he will wake up when he is ready..." She said looking at the fox that was now sleeping peacefully.

'What's going on?' Lucas thought to himself. It seemed like he was in another vision... He was sitting in what looked like a dining room and sitting at a table talking to somebody... they were drinking tea it seemed. It took him awhile to see who it was but nearly gasped when he recognised him... it was the dingo from earlier... had to be. He looked slightly younger and he was actually smiling it seemed.

"What are you smiling at?" Lucas asked him... or well the person he was seeing the vision through asked. The voice had a very distinctive accent it sounded vaguely Irish almost... the dingo... Jonah that was his name Lucas remembered continued to smile.

"Smiling at you babe," He spoke softly, "The fur I Love...why should I not be smiling?" He stated making the boy chuckle.

"Flatterer," the boy said and Jonah gave a wide smile.

"But of course, how are you feeling?" Jonah asked, his voicing going sad for a moment. "You looked a bit ill earlier." He stated.

Lucas felt the boy shake his head and sighed, "I feel fine... today has been a good day," the boy said. "Hopefully this will continue for a while. But I doubt this will last long... Sadness coloured the boy's tone and Jonah gave him a pained look. Noticing this the boy gave the Dingo a sad smile. "Don't look at me like that... let's enjoy each other while we can," he said as he got up and hugged the Dingo and Lucas got the first glimpse of the boy.

'Xander!?' Lucas thought to himself in shock, but then shook his head. Couldn't be Xan... but the boy looked just like his friend.

"I love you Jonah, but please let's not dwell on my failing health... as I said let's make the most of what little time we have." He said and licked Jonah's ear-tip causing the Dingo to moan. He continued to do this before Jonah shot up and grabbed him smashing his muzzle against the fox boy.

"Yes let's," he said picking up the fox and carried him to a bedroom. Jonah stripped the boy down to his boxers and quickly threw off his own clothes leaving himself naked, his penis already dripping and out of his sheath. He quickly threw himself on top of the much smaller fox and kissed him again Lucas moaned on with the boy as he felt his/their crotch being rubbed against Jonah's until his/their boxers was soaked in their combined pre. Jonah eventually reached down and ripped the boxers off of his/their body and reached his fingers underneath the boy's tail-hole causing the boy/Lucas to moan even deeper into the kiss.

Jonah continued to do this until he felt that the boy was open enough before he broke the kiss and aligned himself at the exposed tail-hole before slipping in. Lucas shivered as he felt a tiny bit of pain that changed into pure pleasure as Jonah continued to thrust into the fox. Lucas/the boy moaned and whimpered as he felt Jonah's enlarged knot speared his/their tail-hole.

"Tie me Jonah please," the boy/Lucas moaned into Jonah's ear, "I want you to tie with me..."

Jonah moaned and did as the boy/Lucas pleased and began thrusting harder and harder until a loud pop filled the room and Lucas felt his/the boy's tail-hole being stretched to the limit as he felt himself being filled with Jonah's burning hot seed.

After coming off of his orgasmic high Jonah cuddled against the boy, "I love you Jonah," he said and Jonah only smiled before he muttered sleepily.

"I love you too Chase..."
