#1 of Ghosts N Stuff

Happy Halloween :D

Five cubs, one haunted house, what's the worst that could happen?

Be warned, there's some creepy/squicky things in this story that I normally wouldn't include, but I figured it's not a Halloween special unless you're willing to go the whole nine yards. I've split this up into 5 chapters for readability, but also because each chapter has different themes and fetishes. Tagging them separately allows people who might like some of the stuff, but not the other bits, to pick and choose.

In the prologue we meet our intrepid heroes and discover the sordid and disturbing history of 76, Hannover Avenue.

Joined in this intrepid adventure are: Sani the Tabby (15), Kusaragi the Cat (11), Cole the Rat (15), Blaze the Dragon (16) and his brother Thanatos, also a Dragon (10). All characters are owned by their respective owners, but the story is all mine. Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

"Pfff, you're such a fraidy cat" mocked Cole, picking on Kusa as usual. The high schooler had asked the group to meet at his house before going trick or treating, and even though Kusa didn't want to go, Sani did. Sani was in the same grade as Cole and they'd been best friends for years, so if you wanted the tabby cat, the rat came as part of the package. And did Kusa ever want that tabby.

As soon as the gang of cubs had arrived at Cole's house the plans had changed, and instead of going out collecting candy, the rat wanted the group to spend the night at 76, Hannover Avenue.

"Come on Kusa, it's just a house" Sani said in welcome reassurance, but Kusa totally wasn't buying it. He'd had a crush on the tabby for years, ever since the older cat had been his babysitter, but had only gathered up the courage to tell him recently. To the younger cat's surprise and delight, Sani revealed that he'd always thought Kusa was cute, but was worried about saying anything. For the last few months the pair had been 'secret boyfriends', a term which Kusa loved and Sani tolerated, stealing kisses and holding hands whenever they were alone.

"Yeah, just a big, old, creepy, empty..." Blaze was in the same grade as Cole and Sani, though Kusa knew him through the dragon's little brother Thanatos. The older dragon was nice most of the time, but Cole brought out the worst in him. Blaze was the eldest of the group and it showed, the teen at least head taller than Cole.

"Knock it off, Blaze" Thanatos interrupted "If Kusa doesn't want to go in, neither do I!"

By contrast to Blaze, Thanatos was the youngest and also smallest, though what he lacked in height he made up for with his mouth. The little dragon could talk himself into and out of trouble faster than most people could think, and he never really got that sometimes it was best to just shut up. Thanatos and Kusa had been best friends for as long as either could remember, and would always stick up for each other.

"Then it just shows what little pussies you both are" Cole snapped at the young pair, and in an instant both Sani and Blaze turned on him, with Thanatos quickly wading into the shouting match.

"It's fine, I'll come in" mumbled Kusa, hoping to put a stop to hostilities. The attempt was completely lost in the racket that the four were making, so with a deep breath the kitten tried again.

"I said it's fine!" Kusa shouted a little too loudly, all eyes instantly turning his way. "I'll, I'll come in with you guys" he repeated, faking a grin.

After some back slapping and guffawing, the gang made their way through the front gate. "It's fine." Kusa repeated, trudging up the path to 76, Hannover Avenue.

The story of 76, Hannover Avenue was legendary at the schools around town. The large mansion-like house had been home to an extremely wealthy and highly respected businessman, well known for his charity work. The wolf had been unmarried, though he had the pick of any woman he could want. There had been rumours, as there often are about the successful, but when asked the wolf had always brushed it off as having been yet to find the 'right' mate. While

While the wolf's charity work was wide ranging, much of it had gone to the welfare of the towns cubs; orphanages, youth clubs and children's' hospitals all benefited greatly. When asked, the wolf would say that, as he had no family of his own, he wanted to help all of the town's cubs instead. Eventually the wolf passed away, and it came time to settle his estate. As part of the will his house was to be demolished, which was an odd request, and before the demolition took place a standard search was performed.

What was found inside 76, Hannover Avenue changed from story to story. The myth was a useful backdrop, to be filled in with whatever scary twist the story teller desired, and the existence of the house itself kept the stories alive. The more creative versions had bizarre orphanages filled with cubs desperate to escape, or a harem of men waiting for their master to return. The less imaginative had basements full of murdered wives, murdered parents or, most commonly, dead cubs.

But, in the most horrid and persistent version of the tale, most of the cubs were still alive when the house was inspected. An entire house filled with every species imaginable, drugged and conditioned to a life of sado-masochistic debauchery, and all pubescent boy cubs. Their minds twisted to enjoy the most depraved acts of sexual perversion, they were found in every room of the house, torturing each other in unspeakable ways. Several were found dead at the hands of the others, their lifeless bodies still being used as a source of gratification. In horror the investigators tried to flee, but realized it was far too late to escape.

Still in a frenzied state of violent rut, the cubs turned on the inspectors, trapping them in the house. The new playthings roused the boys imaginations, and intermingled with constant and violent rape, each investigator met a brutal end. The story would generally specify a few of these, to the taste of whoever was spinning the yarn. Agents hung from the first floor landing, their choking and struggling bodies used and defiled, before and after their demise. Inspectors tied to racks, their holes filled by cub after cub, slowly pulled apart as they were savagely fucked.

Of course, there was no official or accepted record of any of this, the stories being dismissed as urban legend and campfire ghost story. The house, empty for a hundred years by now, showed no signs of collapse, or of ever being inhabited again.

Cole reached the front door first, and rapped out a few hard knocks against it.

"You're an idiot" quipped Thanatos "this place has been abandoned for, like, a million years."

"Yeah?" Cole said, a hint of malice in his voice "well then after you, shorty."

As the rat stepped back he beckoned the young dragon towards the door, and after a moment's hesitation Thanatos dutifully moved forward and gripped the handle.

"Maybe it's locked?" smiled the dragon cub hopefully, turning the handle and pressing at the door.

With a loud creak and shudder the door pushed inwards, clouds of dust leaping into the air to catch the light of the full moon above.

"Maybe not" smirked Cole, the presumptive leader of the group barging past Thanatos and into the entrance hall.

Sani and Blaze followed quickly after the rat, leaving Thanatos and Kusa stood outside. Forcing a smile the dragon jumped through the door, leaving the young cat stood alone outside. After a spot of head tennis, Kusa decided being inside a haunted house with his friends beat being just outside a haunted house by himself, and bounded across the threshold.

"Wow, this place is huge!" Cole shouted, jogging to the middle of the large room and spinning to look around.

"Yeah, it looks even bigger from the inside" Thanatos agreed, his gaze turned upward, attempting to size up the high ceiling.

"And it's not as dark as I thought" pondered Blaze, running his hand along a high cabinet.

He was right, from outside the interior had appeared gloomy and forbidding, but once inside it was fairly bright. While it was tricky to make out any fine details, moving around the huge lobby was easy for the group, without bumping into each other or any of the furnishings. It was also easy to make out the large curved staircase leading to a wide open landing, and the three sets of double doors for the East, West and South wings.

"Alright, let's start exploring!" said Cole, stood at the foot of the impressive staircase.

Sani looked dubious, glancing around the various exits, "This place is way too big to explore in one night."

"Yeah, we're going to have to split up" suggested Blaze, almost offhandedly.

It took half a second for Kusa to process what the older dragon had just said, before letting out a strangled "What!" in response, seemingly ignored by the rest of the gang.

Thanatos was quick to pipe up, "I'll go with Blaze" he said, quickly snaring his brother.

"Kusa can come with me" Sani stated flatly, giving the younger cat a subtle wink, enough to make the kitten consider that this might actually be a good idea.

Cole glared between the four, now happily paired off. "Fine, screw you guys" fumed the rat, "I'd rather check this place out on my own anyway."

"Meet back here in an hour, try and find something cool?" Blaze shouted over his shoulder, already being dragged toward the East wing by his little brother.

Hopefully this sets everything up nicely :3

Chapter 1 'The Rat Catchers' should be posted on Halloween itself, unless something horrible and spooky happens ^.^
