Vale Chapter 2

Vale wakes up once more in a cold sweat as she flails a bit trying to get out of the grip of her tormentors. Who ever it is has a tight grip on her as she struggle to get away thinking she is being raped once more. How can that be she had escaped that hell, as darkness surrounds her it suffocates her as if it was alive. She beings to cry thinking she is back in the cave but what ever has her is whispering to her now. Telling her to clam down as she feels a large paw stroking her side. Someone nuzzling her. Telling her it is a dream. The voice is strong but kind. She opens her eyes and sees the light from the moon shining into the tree where she is at. This was not the cave it had no light such as this. She turns her head to see who has her tying to clam her down. She sees the luxray. Her new master. No that wasn't right he told her not to call him that. His name was Kain. She buried her face into his furry mane crying as she shivered with fear from the nightmare she just had.

Vale shivers and cries as she holds onto his mane. It has been several days since she was freed from that endless pain and torture. Yet her body betrays her as it craves the punishment and sex it received. Now she was in a sense having withdraws of not having sex and being told what to do as she has in a sense a new found freedom. It had taken Kain much patience and stern words to stop her from doing what she was told to do when she was still in the cave. Yet as it is she was still had her urges her body wanted to do and her mind as she still called Kain her master. Yet it felt right to call him that. Still it has been a long in the past days as she was still reeling from it all.

The first night was a test to say the least. He assumed after he got her back to his den so to speak. Which was a lot smaller than the cave where she hung from vines most of the time. The hollowed out tree fitted both of them perfectly , and if necessary could hold another mon or two . After he told her he was going to teach her to swim or have someone else do that seeing that as a water type she should be able to swim not drown. She told him 'yes master' what ever he said. Which made him frustrated after he just went through telling her to call him Kain. Then she went and call him master Kain. He just slap his forepaw to his face and growl a bit as he sigh and gave up and told her he was going to sleep. He settle down and began to fall asleep. She still sat outside the tree looking at him waiting for something. It was several minutes later that he looked up at her and asked why she was still out there. She told him that she was not told to go to sleep nor enter the tree. He growled at her and told her to come over here and sleep. Which she hurried up and came over and laid next to him as he once more began to fall asleep.

Before he started to fall asleep he felt something licking his sheath he murred a bit thinking he fell asleep fast and was already dreaming but it felt to real to be a dream he open his eyes and saw Vale licking his sheath. Waking up with a start he pushed her away. She look up at him with a hurt look on her face.

"Did master not enjoy it? I can do better." Vale goes back to trying to licking his emerging cock. He pushes her off once more making her epp a bit.

"For the last time I am not using you as a sex tool or toy, You need to stop that I am not your master. I am your friend. I will not use you like that You only mate when you love someone."

Vale looks at him confused. She was told that all males loved to use her body to rut. That was her sole purpose in life was to be rutted by stronger males. Kain had proved that by killing that bayleef and beating the mightyena. She figure that is why she was taken to be used here by her new master. Yet he didn't want her to do anything she was taught to do. She became confused and began to cry not understanding why he didn't want her doing that.

"Don't cry now. You make it look I am the bad guy here. I saved you from that not to keep doing it." He gets up and nuzzles her and licks her tears away. She stops a bit sniffing a bit as he continues to nuzzle her. "Look Vale their is a whole world out there for you to discover. I want you to know that sex is not the only thing for you to enjoy or experience. Do you understand what I am trying to tell you?"

She gave Kain a blank as she tried to understand what his words meant. To her the cave was the world as she was told there was nothing outside of the cave that matter. That her sole purpose was to raise her tail when told, yet now she was being told that their was more than that. Yet it made no sense as this new master didn't seem to want her but wanted her to know more than what she thought was the truth of being. Her response finally to Kain was a shake of the head no.

With that Kain just sighed as he seem to give up and just told her to go to sleep they would talk about it later. He laid down once more. As she laid next to him not near his cock more near his face as she watch him fall asleep. She watch his back rise up and down slowly as he shifted a bit to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Vale started to fall asleep but a cool wind blew though as she was still outside the tree. She was still a bit thin as she had never though about a cold wind or anything like that as she was usually fucked to unconscious, or her due to her abuse she succumbs to her injures and wounds and falls asleep that way. Yet now she was cold and she moved closer to Kain as she tried to find a way to use his fur to keep her warm as she pressed against him.

Kain once more woke up thinking she was trying to do some sexual act to him and noticed she was trying to get under his mane. He gets up a bit as she plows forward into he ground a bit. Looking confuse where his warm mane went. "Are you cold dear?"

She nods to him her body shivering. He motions her to move into the tree a bit. As his larger frame curled around her as his forepaws wrap around her holding her close to him as he snuggle her close."Better?"

In a tiny voice she said yes. As she can smell his scent so close to her. She had of many of the males before. Yet not once had it felt inviting as his did at that moment. For once in her life she felt safe. A memory drifted up as she started to fall asleep as she saw someone with yellow fur that spiked up and nuzzling her a bit. Humming to her a wordless lullaby. For the first time in a long time she felt safe and at peace.

To wake up to an arcnine and a buizel on it's head is not one of the better things to wake up to. Vale started to bury herself into Kain's mane more trying to get away from the two strange creatures.

"I told you he had found a female yesterday that's why we couldn't find him." The buizel smiles a bit but looks sadden by the vaporeon trying to hide.

"Because seeing your ugly mug of a mate would scare anyone Bui." A tired looking luxray looking at them with a exhausted look on his face. " What do you want? Arc please back up before you scared the poor girl anymore." He tries to get the shivering Vale from out of his mane. " They won't hurt you Vale they don't care much for females."

Arc a bit mad still about the ugly comment earlier. " At I do have a mate who loves me and not for a one night stand as your females seem to be." He huffs a bit

"So bro who is the female? She looks different form the others vaporeons." Bui looks over Vale and notices the injuries , and the thin size of her body. " What the hell did you do to her. Kain?"

Arc notices and looks at Kain with a accusing look on his face. Kain looks at both and shakes his head.

"Nothing I found her outside the boundaries of our territory. She was being use a rutting toy for males. I don't know who they were. They didn't seem to be of any pack from here. I couldn't just leave her out there also I don't think she is from here. She might have been taken at an early age Well her name is Vale and ..." Kain pushes Vale shivering body from him. "Out you this is my brother Bui and his mate Arc ..." A loud growl can be heard from Vale stomach, her blue face becomes cherry red. " and you need food Bui go get some food for her."

"Why the hell should I she is your female." He walks up to Kain looking ready to fight. As Kain's forepaw touches his nose and he smiles at the buizel.

"Because I can make your fur stand on end and you know it. So do as your big brother tells you. Also she is to terrified to go anywhere right now." Despite Kain pushing her out in the open she found a way to get behind Kain and hide behind him her tail still sticking out as they could see it still shaking badly.

Bui is surprised at this he had seen some females afraid of Arc. But mostly because of his size as he was bigger than most arcanines. Yet she was terrified of him which unnerved him. He nods and heads off to find some berries.

"So what are you going to do with her Kain? You going to give her to her kind to take care of?" Arc still trying to see Vale as she still trying to hide behind Kain as he gets up as she follows right besides him still using him as a shield. Still looking terrified.

"Come on you can't hide forever?" Kain tires to get her in front of him as she does her best to stay behind him or at a side away from Arc.

"She is not going to stop acting like that. If she was as you said being used a sex toy then she is thinking I am going to mate her as those others did. You think they will come for her?"

Kain is still trying to get Vale to meet Arc. " I don't know to be honest. I don't think they will seeing how many packs they would have to fight to get to her. Though I doubt I will let her kind look after her as they would take advantage of her especially Saber's mother. She is a crafty one. She would use Vale against me some how. She is always looking for ways to make her son become alpha without getting his paws dirty."

Bui comes back with a few berries in his arms and dumps them in front of Kain. "Their I got them don't say I don't do anything for you" With that he sticks out his tongue at Kain.

"You don't do anything unless I threaten you or have dad tell you to do it." Kain picks Vale up by her scruff and drops her in front of the food. As soon as he does she tries once more to get behind Kain, but he stops her . "Eat now then you hide because today starts your training."

"Training?" Both Arc and Bui both look at Kain quizzical.

"She basically drowned when I tried and clean her up from all the stuff on her. She basically has no real skills in swimming or anything." Bui looks at Vale who is eating one berry very slowly trying not to look at him. " Come on she can do water gun right ? Watch me Vale." He runs to a tree as Vale watches the buizel steady him self and fries off a powerful water gun. It actually shakes the tree.

"Wow you have been practicing haven't you Bui?" Kain looks surprised.

Arc gives a gruff laugh. " His mom been on a rampage to make him practice for the fight soon. I was going to fight but ..." Arc looks away.

Bui runs up to Vale and basically pushes the scared vaporeon to the spot he was at and tries to explains the attack to her and what to do. She looks at Kain as he smiles at her "Listen to him he won't bite he just wants you to know what you can really do ok?"

She shivers a bit calms down as she listens to Bui.

Kain looks back at Arc"You're afraid that you would have to fight Bui aren't you? Look you could just give up and wipe his opponents out. I know Saber is doing that now. I over heard some jolteon talking to a bayleef about how he was asked by Saber to fight with him. He is trying to get others to do the work for him. Most likely his mom telling him to do that." Kain sighs wearily

Vale gathers her strength and braces her self to fire off the attack. What comes out is the weakest looking water gun ever as the water shoots from her mouth in a small arc to the ground before her. She looks down at the water she just shot out. Her head lowers as she looks like it is the end of the world. As Bui tries to comfort her. "It's ok all you need is practice. We can try to teach you tackle." He smiles at her yet she still looks depressed.

"It's ok Vale the ground needed water." Kain says trying not to laugh thinking how long it took him to just do a tackle attack as he would always trip over his own feet half the time.

"This could go easier if you were to fight. Most of the others who live here love you over Saber and Bui. They say you are like your father."

"Arc you know full well being Alpha is hard as hell especially how big this pack is it has packs with in the main one. Most believe in strength in numbers which is true. Most of the vicious packs outside our territory don't dare to attack us outright due to our over whelming numbers. We do have strong fighters but most here are here for protection from the more vicious ones out there." Both Arc and Kain see Bui showing off a tackle attack on a bush thinking it would be easy for her to do. She walks forward and trips into the bush and then hides in the bush not wanting to come out after tripping like that.

Bui tries to get Vale out as she tells him to leave her alone.

"Leave her along Bui." Kain walks over to Vale and pulls her out by her tail. She was trying to hold on to a branch which broke off when Kain pulled her out.

Bui looks like he has never seen someone this weak before. " Damn she can't do anything."

"Of course not Bui. Kain told you she was abused and basically starved to death you can see how under feed she is."

Vale begins to cry and say sorry as she calls Kain master once more. Arc raises his eyebrow at that. Kain shakes his head to waive off the impending question. As he tries to sooth her. "It's ok Vale. I sure with time you will get better. You still need time to recover from what was done to you." He nuzzles her as as she cries into his chest still saying sorry.

"What will you do when asked who she is. It won't take long for others to know she is with you. Their will be questions about why she is the way she is." Arc look at Kain with a stern look.

"What do you want me to do tell the truth. That she was abused and basically raped. Yeah Cara will love that. Using that to say her son would never allow that to happen to the pack if he was in charge. Also her being an outsider of the pack everyone will treat her different. I won't let her be used like that as some fucking tool for Saber to fortify his position."

Bui pats Vale as she continues to cry. "Then win bro If you win the fight for being alpha no one will question you. You can take Vale as your mate." Kain looks at Bui.

"Are you nuts she can barely do anything as you can see. I won't have her fight others who can see that she is weak and try to knock her off to get the spot as the alpha's prime mate."

Bui shakes his head " No you don't get it. You take her as your mate but also another female who will your first mate Vale will be a beta mate. That way your other mate will be the one who takes on all challengers, and Vale won't be touched right?" Kain mulls this over for a bit. " I don't know I don't want to be leader, but to make sure she is safe I really have no choice, or do I..." As a new idea pops in his head as he looks at Bui.

"The others will follow you Bui if I back you up. If I fight most of the battle till all that is left is you and me then I give up you will be alpha. It has never been said you have to be strong to be Alpha just be a strong leader with Arc. If that happens who will go against you with Arc or at that me making sure the others follow you."

Bui looks away not really liking this. "Why not Arc he is a better fighter than I am?"

Kain sighs knowing that Arc hates to fight. Bui knows this yet the large fire canine nuzzles Bui. " I wish I could but my mother would use that a an excuse to make me take a mate, a female one at that. She hates me as it is that I am with you. As your father doesn't seem to mind as much Bui."

"He actually hates it that you're both together. Yet for some reason he sees me getting off my furry ass and standing up and take my rightful spot in the pack, or that I hate Saber enough to fight him. My father knows I hate Saber and his mother. "

Bui huffs a bit. " I do wonder why also. My mother brought what was left of our tribe here to get away from the packs that were preying on our kind. Yes many of the fire types did hunt us despite us being a bit stronger them but it came down to numbers my mom told me that we had so few as they were attacking our tribe until there were only so many of us left. She told me she lost her true love. That she gave up being leader of our tribe after his death. She brought them here for protection She submitted to being our father's mate. I know she hated to do that but it was the only way to save the few of our kind left." He begins to cry a bit trying to dry his eyes. As Arc nuzzles him.

" I know Bui I do love your mother despite her attitude about my lack of motivation. As with you she is right you are a lazy magikarp. If you trained you could be a force to be reckoned with."

"Yeah but dad said you're strong already and liked by many of this pack. My kind and Saber's both like you if you stood up it would just be you and Saber fighting as many would just not ...." He stops to see Vale curled up under Kain fast asleep. " She really likes you Kain. You know I am right she will only be safe from everyone if you take her as your mate. You have to fight. Hell you could have a charziard as a mate and everyone would accept it. The others can't get away with having anyone as a mate." Bui clears his throat and makes a sour expression " You have potential I don't know why you waste it playing by the lake my son. You are my pride and joy. I have trained you to be leader one day." Before Bui falls over laughing hard as Kain shakes his head.

"Dad would kill you if he ever saw you doing that." Kain pokes Bui as Arc suppresses his laughter.

"All kidding aside Kain you know he is right. Even if Bui or I fought we would not be truly accepted by the others as much or be challenge for power by Saber as he would not give up on that crazy ambition his mother has put into his mind." Everyone stops as they hear someone coming. In quick movement Kain moves in front of the sleeping Vale. As Arc moves next to him to make sure no one sees her.

From the bushes come a umbreon followed by flareon a leafeon and a jolteon. The umbreon looks at them in disgust as he looks at Kain with such loathing in his eyes.

Kain gives a fake warm smile to the umbreon and his companions. "Hello dear brother. What brings you here today? I was sure that you would be training for the competition."

Saber growls at Kain as the others with him look like they want to fight. Kain just smiles." You really want to do this Saber. Even if I was alone you and your followers wouldn't walk away with out a limb or two missing." Kain smiles at the leafeon. "How is your brother doing after he lost his head leaf and tail? Have they grown back?"

The leafeon growls a bit looking to charge at Kain. As Saber movers in front of the leafeon. "No he is playing you. Our father would not approve of us in fighting like this. I know you know he is watching each of us making sure we don't do something stupid. Just know this I will take it all. This pack will have a true leader. I will make those who threaten us be dealt with as they should be. With swift action and destruction." Saber rings glow a bit.

Kain shakes his head " You sound like your mother. Look what happen to her first mate. I head what the others said she felt that many of your kind were not strong enough to protect themselves. It's only a small wonder why so many were so happy to come here. Not much fighting as we have strength in numbers. Yes the arcanines here our main force as they are loyal to the pack leader. Yet I wonder if they would follow you. Also you have to remember the many plant type who live here they abhor fighting as they take care of our food source here. Many of the berry bushes here." Kain smiles seeing Saber grow angry as his rings glow brighter. As his fangs bare as he is about to charge. Kain showing no fear to this stance of his brother. "You know I did always love you. Despite what your mother di.."

He never finishes as he ducks to dodge the shadow ball attack as it flies and hits a bush behind Kain making it explode with leaves and small branches fall everywhere. "SHUT UP YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT HER!!!! SHE IS THE TRUE ALPHA OF THIS PACK!! NOT YOUR FATHER!!!"

Kain raises his head as he does nothing knowing as soon as he moves Vale would be unprotected. Yet at the same time he knew full well he would attack his own brother if he attack because those fool who follow him would attack also. Arc would fight also yet despite all this as he would help Kain. Yet Kain was more worried about the sleeping vaporen behind him who he still can't believe was still asleep. Could Bui protect her as he see his other brother moving behind Kain as the others seem to think he is going to hide. Yet Kain knows better as the water weasel looks up at him in concern looking at the vaporeon. Arc still has yet to move as he would not attack first but he would love to finish them now. As he would look for an excuse to fight as the others with Saber look at the large Arcanine with apprehensive looks on their faces. As they knew to fight the arcanine was trouble enough but the arcanines took an attack one of their kind as a attack on all of them. Saber charge up another shadow ready to attack anyway. Looking to hurt the one to insult his mother.

"Hold!" A deep voice carries out form the bushes. " I don't think your father would appreciate all his sons fighting as their sister watched." A ninetails comes from the bushes being followed by a crying eevee who runs to Kain her body trembling. "This one came to get me when she saw you all together to talk I assume? I hate to tell you father that his own blood can not get along with each other." She smiles at them.

All of them know better to say anything to her as she is the elder of the whole pack. She has been part of this pack longer than any of them. As far as of any of them knew she was the only one of her kind here. She never talked about her kind much but to say that they wanted to find better lands away from the younger ones. She had stayed behind with her mate who was a mightyena. In all honesty she was the true power of the pack she was the one who would back the new alpha. If she didn't many would see the pack to fall apart though it has never happen but then again she rarely talk to any one of the pack besides the pack leaders family. Yet all of the pack called her elder and the cubs and kits all called her grandmother. She was held in high regard as her words carry much weight to them.

"Saber you should stop this nonsense you cause your sister no end of pain with your actions." Kain is about to smile when she turns to him and glares at him " You should respect the alphas mates no matter if you like them or not child. The alpha has chosen and you should respect that choice. No matter .." She gives him a knowing look. " No matter how weak that mate might be. Also you Bui you could have stop your brothers from trying to kill each other though I doubt it can really be done." She looks at Saber who is still glaring at Kain his eyes blazing red as his rings glow brightly. He looks at Lin who is still crying next to Kain as Kain glares at Saber. He huffs a bit then turns to leave.

" I don't care do as you like brother. Since you to much of a coward to fight I will fight for father position and take it and woe to you if you think I will let you and my other brother stay here. My rule will be different and things will change for the better. Though their will be no place for those who do not follow me. " He looks at the ninetails and bows his head and leaves. The others follow as they do also bow their heads and leave in a hurry.

She watches them leave and shakes her head as she look Kain trying to clam down the crying evee saying she didn't want her brothers fighting. As they all look at Lin the ninetails moves around Kain and sees the sleeping Vaporeon. Kain sees her looking at Vale and shakes his head trying to tell her not to say anything while Lin was there. She smile a bit "Bui, Arc be good and take her home to her father he must be worried about her. I want to talk to Kain about things that he has been hiding."

Both Arc and Bui notice what she is looking at as they hurry and get Lin away as Kain smiles telling Lin to head back with them to their father as he would try and play with her tomorrow. She tires to dry her eyes with her tail as she nods and leaves with Bui who picks her up and climbs on Arc and they both ride him back to their fathers den.

Kain watches as they leave. " What do you want elder?" Vale wakes up and sees the great ninetails and epps and hides behind Kain shivering

She just smiles at him " That is no way to talk to me Kain I have raised you as I have so many of this pack. You really think you keep this from me an outsider? No Kain I knew about her as soon as you brought her here. Now what are you going to do now? Though it seems that she is afraid of me. " She laughs a bit.

"I have to protect her from all out there and those who are close. She is in no condition to be on her own or away from me. You can see that already." He explains to her what happen .

"Her own kind would take advantage of her. Also she is to weak to fight off the females of the her kind. They would kill her for being weak. Your father can only do so much to protect her. You know full well Saber is right if you do not fight you will have to do as he says or leave the pack. He is his mothers pawn She is going to use him to rise to power. I have heard rumors already she is talking to others outside the pack to ensure her son keeps power after he wins. She wants the arcanines gone because of the loyalty to your family. Also they have a great distrust of her. I usually abhor having to interfere in the packs future as long as they care about all in the pack I don't care what happens but I do not want Saber rise to power. I want you to enter the competition."

"Wait wait aren't their others to fight him?" Kain looks shocked at the elder.

"Yes but they are going in alone in this fight. Saber has others fighting in that so he can stack the odds in his favor the others will weaken the others and he will take them all out as the others will stand down when all his opponents or those who stand in the way of his ambition or I should say his mother's. "

Kain growls loudly at her making Vale shiver more. He feels her fear as he calms down and moves to calm her down knowing that he will only make her more afraid of him if he acts as he always does. Kain nuzzles her softly a softly rumble can be head from him as she calms down but she still looks wearily at the ninetails. "Why don't you tell my father about this he won't listen to me even though I have spoken openly about this to him. It's one of the main reasons why I am out near the edge of the pack's territory. Does he ever care about me, besides being his heir apparent to being the next alpha? He always tried to make me into a clone of him. It is a small wonder why he seems to turn a blind eye to Cara. She does as she wants. The only reason she doesn't do anything openly is because you're here and the arcanines would kill her and most of her kind here if she did, they have always thought she becoming my father mate was always a bad idea. She always had ideas of how things should be done. You have my fathers ear and the pack respects you, that you say has as much weight as the alpha does. All defer to you even my father why don't you say something?" Kain looks at her pleading.

The ninetails sigh. " You all seem to forget that my kind have a long life and we tend to forget that you young ones need change. I would bring much misery to you all. I have no real interest with your day to day lives. That is why I am not seen much so others don't rely on me. I could rule you all but I know full well it would go to my head and I would allow no other to question me. It's why so many of my kind tend to be be in solitude and shy away from packs. I was raised by my first mates family. They took me in when my father was killed by another pack. They raised me well. I do miss them and my mates I have had over the seasons. It also taught me to treasure what I have and not think that I am better as I have seen so many better than my self rule over this pack over the seasons."

Kain looks sadden by this trying to force his troubles on her. She licks him on his face as he flinches a bit. " I am not going to bite. Nor am I going to bathe you little one." She laughs at his discomfort.

"I don't want to fight Saber ...." he looks away a bit worried. She looks at him not judging him as he lays next to Vale trying to sooth her as was still scared of the ninetails. "Don't worry she won't hurt you." Kain nuzzle her.

The ninetails look at them both. "You know what your options are don't you Kain." It wasn't much of a question as a statement to him.

"I know .....Fira I know..."He smiles a bit at saying her name as she looks at him kindly

" You are the only one who calls me by name any more. Your father and many of the older members of the pack refuse to yet you do it to tease me more than anything. You must chose soon Kain you know better than any one that you love him despite what you show to others. I know you both were close when he was an eevee but his mother has had her way with him and now that eevee you once knew is not there anymore. You must do what you know is right for the better of the pack." With that she moves up to Kain and nuzzles Kain then walks off. Leaving Kain with many troubles besides having Vale with him.

Vale had never seen a ninetails she look so beautiful and lovely. Compare to her she felt ugly and dirty. Yet Kain was still looking after her. It confused her why he was so kind to her. She didn't understand any of it as she was always abused her during the time she was with those males... She once more tried to eat the berries she was given earlier. She was more hungry then before. After her failed attempts at using an attack. Thinking back to her efforts she wanted to cry as she was a Vaporeon for the last few season even though she was forced to become this form, she had no real concept in how to really do the attacks.

She feels cold as Kain gets up from around her. For once in her life she actually love the feel of a male around her. For once she didn't shiver in the thought of someone near her. Yet she could not figure out why. She whimpers a bit as he walks away. He turns back to her and nuzzles her a bit and tells her he needs to make sure no one is around and for her to go back to the den he will be back in a few. She looks at him with a sad look but nods as she weakly gets up and walks back to the den. Kain is gone in a flash as she walks back into the den. It was a tree that had been hollowed out but still grew. It was bigger than it looked from the outside. It felt warm compared to the cave she was subjected to, even though it was smaller. She shivered at the thought of being there. Yet now she could have a life as she had heard Kain say. The concept was so alien to her the more she thought about it.

Kain return faster than she thought. He came in with the stoic face he was wearing earlier. Yet as soon as he look at her it soften a bit. She realized that he was trying to make her feel at ease. He once more curled around her his larger body making her warmer and something else was stirring but she ignore it for now. As he whisper to her to sleep for now. She did as he asked as the weariness of trying to fight crept on to her and she embraced the darkness of sleep.

The days past faster than she thought, in a day or two she was able to walk around with out tiring out fast. Her appetite grew as did her weight. She was gaining back the weight she had loss when she was taken. Kain had Bui teach her to swim. Which became a fun chore to all the water types of the pack as they all laughed at her at first but shut up when Kain would just glare at them. They all pitch in to help then. It was still funny to some who hide it well as she would sink and panic as the others had to rescue her. Eventually she got the hang of it as her instincts kicked in. She grew better and better at swimming. Though she was a bit shy around many of the water types as many were really open to her trying to make her smile. Saying they wish the other vaporeons would play with them as they were a bit standoffish.

She did her best to talk to them. Yet she would always whisper and always look down, or away not wanting to look at any of them. None asked her about her scars or that she didn't seem to be from the eeveevolutions. They all seem to take Kain and Bui's word that she was no danger. Though that was obvious when she could not do a proper water gun. Many just laugh at her water attack. Yet somehow she seem to actually melt sometimes into the water a rare ability even among vaporeons. Though many saw her doing this to shy away from everyone as she got scared easily. Yet it seem Kain who would always sense where she was and give the water near her a quick jolt to make her become solid . She was amazed that he could do that. Yet something once more stirred in her. About Kain... she finally had stop calling him master but still said it when she thought he would not hear her.

Yet no matter how much she tired to enjoy her life now the images of her imprisonment crept up and enter her dreams she would cry and flail in her sleep waking Kain. As he did his best to control her outburst. She would wake up crying hugging him tightly she would clutch onto his fur tightly. She could not escape the dreams of her tormentors yet as she clenched tightly to Kain he would nuzzle her and say he would be there for her no matter what. He would keep them away from her. With those words it clam her down every night as she would fall asleep a peaceful sleep.

One night was different she woke not because of the dreams but the lack of warmth that came from the luxray. She was scared that he was not there. She peeked outside the small den and took a few quick sniffs of the air as she caught his scent as she followed it. Eventually she found him after almost jumping at every sound that she came across. She saw him looking over a cliff edge of the valley below him. There was his brother Bui and Arc both with him watching a bright glow come from below.

Kain notices her and walks over very concerned. He ask her is she alright and that he is sorry for walking out on her, but he figure she would be alright. She looked up at his face in the dark she could see the concern on his face. She was a bit happy he cared for her but at the same time he was always with her and had little time to do much else as he would train with Arc though it seem that Arc was not into it fully. Yet something else was on her mind as why he was here with his brother and the large arcanine.

He sees her wanting to see what was over the cliff but she was afraid of the height they were at. Kain sighed as he always did when he had to drag her somewhere she didn't want to go. He once more slipped his head under her and made her ride him as Bui would to Arc he walks closer to the edge of the cliff. She griped his head tightly as he stops finally. Her eyes shut tightly as she heard Bui laugh a bit.

"You're not going to see what we see like that Vale open your eyes."

She shook her head no.

Kain laughs a bit. " Please Vale open your eyes. For me."

With that she open her eyes from request from Kain. As she opens she sees a white tree that seems to glow in the darkness of the night. Unlike any other tree she had seen. It was beautiful. She had never seen something like this before.

"It is the the time of change. The tree blooms during the final part of fall. Before the first frost comes. Also it signals the time for the fight. The time when the alpha wants to step down it is held part of the festival " Kain says softly.

She looks down at him seeing the sadness in his face. She had heard many of the water types talking about it to Kain, about this fight that was to come trying to make him fight in it. He keep refusing to. He was running from something but what she did not know.

" I will have to chose to fight my brothers in this fight." Kain says sadly

She looks at Bui as he looks away. " We have a choice to stand aside but our brother is making it hard to do just that."

"I want to stay away from it not to fight in it as I don't care for being alpha , yet I am left with little options. As he would make sure I would be forced out after he became alpha. I also worry about you. I need to protect you from everyone especially yourself." He smiles up at her.

Vale looks sad at that he has to fight. " What will happen to me if he wins.?"

Kain sighs." I don't know I have tried my best to keep you away from everyone but by now he has to know. You would be made to live with you kind and I don't know then some male would try to control you."

She shivers at the thought to be once more a tool to be used by a male. She was scared. " Can't we leave?"

Kain shakes his head. " I don't see how they would try and take you from me as when Saber takes over he would use his power to throw me and Bui out as he has no love for us."

Vale wants to cry . " Can't you fight him. I don't want you to go I want to stay with me please. I don't want to be alone. I want you to stay with me Kain. Please don't leave me." she begins to cry as she grips his tight." He turns from the cliff side and makes her fall off his head. He makes her look at him.

"You do understand what you asking me to do? To fight my family." Kain looks at her in her eyes.

She is still crying trying to dry her eyes with her forepaws. " I don't want you to leave me. I care about you. I don't want to be alone any more. I want to be safe. From everyone ...I feel safe with you. Please Kain." she looks up at him with her wet eyes pleading.

Kain lowers his head to touch her head as he sighs. " I don't want to leave you ever Vale. I took you in even though I could have just gave you to your kind to take care of but I knew full well what I was doing. I think ..I think I found my reason to fight." He smiles a bit. " To make sure their will never be another like you ever. To make sure all can sleep well at night. So their will no more nightmares."

Vale looks up at Kain and smiles as he licks her face. Bui is looking happy. "So does that mean I don't have to fight?"

"NO you will fight as will your boy toy." Arc growls a bit at the comment.

" I need to stack the deck in my favor. I don't intend on losing. Yet I will do all I can to make sure all those I care for are protected. Epically a little scared vaporeon" Vale smiles up at him at that. As a star falls in the night sky. As they once more look over to the tree which many of the grass type pokemon who live in the forest come before the great tree. Many bowing before it. Thus beginning the festival of the end of fall . Many of the packs also gather to watch the grass types begin to celebrate before the great tree.

Vale sees Kain watch the grass types celebrate before the tree as he smiles a bit. She also smiles knowing that he will stay with her and protect her. His words bring much happiness to her.
