More Than a Dog-Chapter 2

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Kaiser said to a lone dragon figure that was looking at him.

"I want you to wake up." The mysterious body said.

"Do what?" Kaiser shouted.

"Wake up." It repeated.

"Huh, I can't hear you." Kaiser restated.

"I said wake up!" Drake shouted as he shook the Akita.

"I'm awake, I'm awake." Kaiser shouted as he was forced out of his dream.

"Are you ok, you were talking in your sleep?" Drake asked.

"Yea I'm ok; I just had an unusual dream that's all."Kaiser answered.

Not aware of his body's current condition Kaiser tried to get up with his right arm but was instantly stopped. Kaiser was in deep pain as he shuffled from left to right on his back trying his best to forget about the pain.

Slowly getting up on his left arm, Kaiser did all he could to avoid any pain in his right arm. Inch by inch Kaiser picked his body off the ground until he was fully standing up. As he looked around he started to become used to the idea of being the only dog in a dragon and reptile community.

"So what are you going to do now?" Drake asked.

"Well I shouldn't let a simple injury keep me from sightseeing; I might even come across that dragon I met in the cave before I got here." Kaiser said.

"Oh that's right, you were never formally introduced to him were you, well if you want to see him just head to the center of the village, you're definitely bound to meet him there." Drake directed.

With that Kaiser stepped out of Drake's tent in preparation for his journey, when the sound of someone telling him to wait up made him stay in his spot. After locating the sound of the voice Kaiser turned to his right and could see an unfamiliar silhouette. As the figure came closer and closer Kaiser began to make out certain qualities of the person. As came closer he had a tall body heavy with muscles, and as he ran a very thick tail swung from left to right behind him. After a few seconds the figure was close enough for Kaiser's eyes to get a clear focus on him. In an instant Kaiser went into a defensive stance despite his body's injury.

"Great I made it just in time." A giant T-Rex exhaled

"What do you want?" Kaiser growled.

"I wanted to apologize about yesterday; you have to understand it's not a normal occurrence around here." The giant lizard tried to explain.

"So attacking is the first thing you do!" Kaiser shouted as he tried to hide the pain in his arm.

"Look normally if you're not a dragon or reptile, you're either someone's prey or an intruder, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't admit if you were either of the two, no one would." The reptile said.

"I guess you have a point." Kaiser replied.

"Anyway we got off on the wrong foot yesterday, so I would like to try again, hi, my name is Rexus." The reptile introduced himself

"Uh hey Rexus, my name's Kaiser, but my friends call me Kai for short, if I had any friends that is." Kaiser sighed.

"Hey Kaiser would like to come hangout with me, it's the least I could do for the way I acted yesterday." Rexus said with a grin.

"Sure why not, I guess it'll make a good way for us to get off on the right foot." Kaiser agreed.

With that Kaiser began to follow Rexus as if he was his personal tour guide. There wasn't a single place in the village that Rexus didn't know about, he knew just about everything from the maternal ward to the all male spa. As they walked together Rexus began to ask Kaiser questions about his life outside of the village, hoping that it would break the ice.

"So what's it like, you know, in the place you come from?" Rexus questioned.

"So how are you trained, are you self taught, or did your father teach you, or did you go to a class." Rexus asked.

"Technically I don't take a class." Kaiser smiled

"What do you mean technically?" Rexus stared.

"I'll start from the beginning." Kaiser answered.

"Please do." Rexus stated.

"It was a good 5years ago, back then I was no bigger than a twig from a sapling. One day I was on my way home, and as usual the only way home was through a clearing in the woods. Every day I walked that path and not once did anything bad happen, but this particular day was different. As I walked through the trees I heard an unfamiliar sound, when I turned around to face it I didn't see anything. I quickly dismissed it as a bird and went on my way. "But why are we going to the springs, I mean I could just sit and watch you can't I?" Kaiser asked.

"Well I really want to fight against you again, it's been a while since I had a good challenge, so I'm taking you to the hot springs to help speed up your recovery." Rexus answered.

"That shouldn't be a problem, I've always been a speedy healer in my family, a little too speedy than normal, but I guess that's just a thing of nature." Kaiser said as he began to unravel the bandages on his arm.

Sure enough the giant black and blue bruise that was on Kaiser's arm had almost completely vanished, the only sign that gave any clue that he was injured was a little cut that had completely sealed up. Rexus looked in pure amazement at the dog's fast recovery, the only thing he ever knew to heal that quickly was mostly dragons and a couple of dinosaurs.

"Well guess you don't need a soak in the hot springs after all then." Rexus said.

"Not for healing purposes I don't, but are you sure you want to fight against me?" Kaiser said as he rotated his shoulder to get the blood pumping through it.

"Like I said you got some serious skills on you, I might actually learn a thing or two and you might do the same as well." Rexus stated as he spotted a clear area in the distance.

Taking Rexus lead Kaiser followed in closer pursuit that way he didn't get cut off or lost in the scaly scuffle, but as he watched he could see all different types of reptiles. In one corner he watched as a Adonis like triceratops toss a giant boulder into the air then catch it as it came speeding back down, to the left of Kaiser he spotted a kentrosaurus and a ankylosaurus grappling at each other both of them trying to get a tight hug on the other. Quickly turning around Kaiser was quick enough to spot the tail of a stegosaurus right in front of him and he quickly dodged it before anything bad happened. After looking at a couple of more matches around him both Kaiser and Rexus arrived at the area Rexus wanted.

"Here put this on." Rexus said as he handed Kaiser a warrior like loincloth.

Kaiser looked at the cloth before attempting to put it on. After fooling around with it Kaiser finally managed to get the material in the desired area. Suddenly he heard someone shout at Rexus in laughter and he turned to see what the commotion was all about.

"Hey Rexus, didn't your mother teach you not to play with your food." A long necked reptile laughed.

"Yea, she also told me to stay away from pitiful warriors like you Norel." Rexus grinned.

Everyone around the area took their minds out of their fight and began to watch the scene that was going on beside them.

"Try not to make a mess then, I hate to see you wearing a bib around your neck." Norel laughed.

"All this coming from a long neck brachiosaurus." Rexus grinned.

The crowd around the feuding pair was smiling and laughing as the two dinos went back and forth at each other with insults. As Kaiser took off with Drake he stopped and looked back at Rexus who was boiling mad at this point. Kaiser ran back to apologize for leaving him on short notice.

"I'm sorry for having to leave, I just want to get some answers that's all, but I did have a great time with you, you're a nice friend, and if things would've kept on going I'm sure I wouldn't be a virgin tomorrow. "That damn Drake he knew what the hell he was doing, he thinks he's smart but I will get my prize in the end." Rexus said to himself as he dropped his fake friendly attitude. "COME TAKE YOUR POSITION!!!!" Rexus yelled into his cave ordering his raptor sex slave to come to him.

Later on that that night a disappointed akita entered a tent, his face showing a sign of defeat.

"I'm sorry, you must forgive him, he's a very busy dragon, and as chief he's expected to be on call 24/7." Drake explained.

"It's ok, I'm a little tired anyway, and I should be hitting the hay. Would you mind blowing out that candle for me?" Kaiser asked.

"Sure thing." Drake answered.

As soon as Drake blew out the candle he left the tent and went walking to a nearby lake. As he watched the moon shine and the stars sparkle off its reflecting surface, he heard a soft voice come from a tree nearby.

"I see you didn't take my advice." A brown dragon said as he jumped out the tree. "Plus you lied to him in order for your own gain." He continued once he landed on the ground.

"Well what was I supposed to do huh, if I would've sat there then Rexus would've got exactly what he wanted, and I can't let that dog follow the same fate as his raptor predecessor." Drake replied. "I don't see why you can't agree with what I'm doing Chief Ryuuk." Drake asked.

"As I recall I didn't see you object to your raptor friend when you saw him fall for the same thing." Ryuuk answered.

"That's different, he...he...argh forget it." Drake huffed.

"I'll say this again, but this is my last time repeating it. Don't interfere with fate, it will reveal itself in time, but if you should happen to not head my warning then fate will most definitely see to your own demise in order to move along its course." Ryuuk said full of wisdom.

With that said Ryuuk expanded his wings and flew off, as Drake listened to him flap his wings in the distance he began to question whether or not if he was truly doing to right thing. Normally the Chief knew what he was talking about, but why would he allow something as disgraceful as this to happen. What really hit Drake the hardest was when Ryuuk mentioned his old best friend, which was now Rexus' personal sex slave. Drake closed his eyes and fell back into the grass, and took a deep breath and just before he fell asleep he whispered under his breath.

"I promise Briel, I'll get both you and Kaiser from underneath that abusive lizard's grip on your lives." Drake said before falling asleep.

Meanwhile thousands of miles away a panda sat in the middle of ring, his eyebrows twitching furiously and a blood vessel pumping overtime in his head. With all his strength he was trying his best trying not to show any frustration.

"Puppy thinks he's off the hook for today's training, ha, he is sadly mistaken, I'll just add it to tomorrow regiment. You hear me Kaiser, 400 hundred board punches when you arrive tomorrow." The panda huffed under his breath.

In almost a synchronized time Kaiser jumped from his sleep his eyes open in complete shock.

"Sensei's going to kill me, I missed today's lessons." Kaiser squeaked at what he realized.
