"Everyone does foolish things from time to time. Is that not right Lilith?" Nightrunner said.

"I have my fair share of mistakes." Lilith said.

"In some aspects you are lucky. After all, there are worse monsters to be your master. Dragons tend to treat their blood slaves far better than most." Nightrunner said.

"I do suppose being in love with him helps." Jenny said.

"It only can. I had only came to see if you had any problems." Nightrunner said.

"I think I answered any questions she had." Lilith said.

Jenny smiled and her tail flicked back and forth. "You did, I am glad he asked that you help me."

"Since everything is in order, the two of you have a good day." Nightrunner said and with a quick bow of his head he turned and left.

"Can I ask for one more favor?" Jenny asked a bit nervously.

"Sure." Lilith said.

"Could we go get a piece of that pumpkin pie?" Jenny asked with a nervous smile.

Lilith laughed. "Sure, I was thinking a piece sounded good myself."

Jenny and Lilith spent the better part of the day shopping in the town after they each had a piece of pie and a cup of tea. While Jenny could not buy anything it was enjoyable none the less. Lilith was fun to be with and Jenny learned a fair amount more while they were out than she probably would have if they had stayed at her apartment.

"Thanks for the help and showing me around. Next time you come to my world, I will treat you to something sweet." Jenny said as they stood in the teleporting room as Jenny was going to call it.

"I will take you up on that. Take care." Lilith said with a cute smile.

Jenny past through Azule into her apartment and her world once more. The over cast sky now producing snow fall. They had bright colored things in their apartment, but this world seemed... dull.

She walked over to the large window looking out to the west. Jenny stood where they had found Nodrog standing a few times when he looked out the window. She put a hand in her pocket and mirrored his stance from the last time.

As the large fluffy snowflakes drifted down Jenny wondered what he thought about. To her knowledge, he had not slept since Alice woke him. Almost eight months since that day... What did he think about in all of those hours? Where there people he missed? If he even remembered people at all, surely there had to be those that stood out among them.

She pondered her fate. Jenny would be lying if she said she was not a little frightened by the turn of events. Lilith said he would feed on her... she did not know what to expect. He loved her and would never harm her. But he would have to bit her to draw blood, would that not hurt her?

They had settled on a date, March 13th. The day Alice woke the dragon and brought him into their lives. After all Alice saved him from a dreamless sleep and he had saved them from being killed. It was a major turning point in their lives, why not mark another turning point on the same date?

Jenny had left her phone in the apartment, she doubted it would work a galaxy away. The instant travel made the distance involved seem insignificant. But the sheer distance she had traveled boggled the mind. It took a week to get to Mars, and she has been thousands of times farther away in an instant.

Jenny was startled from her thoughts as someone knocked loudly on the door a second or third time. She glanced at her watch, she had been standing lost in thought for an hour. "Coming!"

"Hello." Stacy said as Jenny opened the door.

"Hey, come on in." Jenny said.

"Alice said you had the day off... Samantha and I wanted to know if you wanted to go out with us." Stacy said.

"Sure let me grab my phone and a coat." Jenny said.

Jenny locked the door and followed Stacy to the elevator. "Samantha said she would meet us down stairs."

"I am a little surprised you and Randy are not together." Jenny said with a smile.

Stacy smiled. "We have a dinner date. His truck should be fixed tomorrow."

"I'm glad the two of you hit it off so well. Alice wasn't sure if he would go for it." Jenny said.

"I don't think it really has sunk in that I am genderless." Stacy said.

Stacy put on a over sized hat as they stepped outside where Samantha had flagged them down a ride.

"Hello." Samantha said as Jenny and Stacy walked over.

"I hope you don't mind if we stop someplace so I can get some ingredients to do a little baking?" Jenny asked.

Samantha and Stacy smiled. "As long as you make some for us." Samantha said as they got on the shuttle.

"I had a piece of pumpkin pie with Lilith this morning. It really got me in the mood to do some baking." Jenny said.

"Who is Lilith?" Stacy and Samantha asked.

"A friend of Nodrog's." Jenny said. Neither of them had been off world, so it might be hard to explain. That and she did not know if she wanted to explain what her collar was for.

"Oh I love pumpkin pie." Samantha said.

"No way pumpkin cheese cake is so much better." Stacy said with a bright smile.

"Actually I was thinking cookies, but now I might have to make a pie or cake." Jenny said.

It was a good thing Jenny did have a little something to eat, with the odd time difference between worlds; it had been nearly eight hours since she ate breakfast. As it was Jenny was rather hungry when they stopped for lunch.

Alice had a couple meetings and needed to sneak down to speak with Dr. Phillips before she could head to her apartment. All of them went well, and while it was still too early to tell if the medication was having much effect. Dr. Phillips wanted to make sure Alice was doing well mentally with the illness.

It was almost five when Alice opened the door to their apartment. Stacy and Samantha were playing a game while Jenny cutely danced in the kitchen. Judging from the game music it was one of her racing games. The apartment had a lovely aroma from the treats Jenny was making.

"Hello." Alice said as she set down to take off her shoes.

"Hello." The three said.

"It smells fantastic in here." Alice said as she walked over to Jenny.

"Thanks." Jenny said as Alice hugged her from behind and kissed her neck.

"So what got you in the mood for baking?" Alice asked and rested her chin on Jenny's shoulder.

"Lilith and I had a little pie off world today. Have a cookie." Jenny said and put a chocolate chip sugar cookie in Alice's mouth. "Take each of them one."

Alice plucked two more off the cooling rack before heading back to the living room. She handed one to Stacy and Samantha. "These are my favorites."

"It has been hard to sit here with them calling out to us." Samantha said. The warm cookie making her forget she lost the race.

Jenny pulled the last batch of cookies out. She was glad they had two ovens since the pies baked at a different temp. Nodrog told her he was at the compound they were holding Roslyn at.

"I wonder how he did that?" Alice asked as the screen showed the race results. Stacy and Samantha had much slower times than her, but Nodrog held the fastest time on the track. Not by much, only a few tenths of a second.

"This is the only track you don't have the fastest time on." Stacy said.

"Guess I will have to fix that sometime." Alice said.

Stacy got up and twirled around. "Think this will knock his socks off?"

"If it doesn't, he needs and eye exam." Jenny said as she leaned on the counter top. He was wearing a modest little skirt and a tight tee shirt. The hormone therapy starting to show signs of working. Though he was still padded, he had started showing a developing bust.

"With the cowgirl boots, you are sure to hold his attention." Alice said.

"See you all later. Thanks for the cookie." Stacy said and headed out for his date.

"Speaking of dates, I should head out and find mine. Save me a piece of pie." Samantha said as she stood up.

"I baked a couple, have fun." Jenny said.

Alice stretched out on the couch as she finished her cookie. "So, how did your day go?"

Jenny started the timer for the pies and walked out to sit on the couch with Alice. "Lilith was a lot of help."

"mmmm... cookie and a foot rub?" Alice asked and let out a relaxed sigh as Jenny rubbed her feet.

"Any excuse I can use to touch you, is a good one. Besides I know you had a busy day and I... really didn't." Jenny said as she rubbed her mouse's little feet.

"You can't fool me, you never need an excuse to touch me." Alice said with a naughty little smile.

Jenny laughed. "No I guess not."

"Why did you have to go off world?" Alice asked, Jenny's face got red.

"I had to register as his blood slave." Jenny said.

"Seems like they take this very seriously." Alice said.

"They do. I have to admit I am nervous about the whole thing." Jenny said.

"I would worry if you were not." Alice said and crawled over to Jenny pinning her little cat to the arm of the couch. "I think I want some other treats."

Jenny kissed her. "Naughty little mouse?"

"mmm very naughty mouse." Alice said as she put her arms around Jenny and kissed her.

They did not get very much as the timer interrupted their little romp on the couch. Jenny pulled away so she could pull the pies out of the oven. " I guess we will have to finish after dinner."

"Probably a good idea." Alice said as she pulled her bra off before putting her shirt back on. She collected Jenny's bra and took them both back to their laundry.

Stacy still was a little nervous around Randy. It had lessened a little but he wasn't going to give up. They had went out to a country music joint and did a little dancing before sitting down to eat.

After a fun time out, Randy was walking him up to his apartment. Stacy's heart was racing as the pony followed him into the apartment. "I guess you will have to head out once Jim and Kenny finish your truck."

"Yup, have to get loaded and rollin' down the road. Week out and a week back depending on the weather." Randy said.

"That's not to bad." Stacy said as he pulled off his cowgirl boots.

"Na, pretty easy couple months. The hard one will be pullin' the dual lane from the coast up and over to the Denver office." Randy said.

"Dual lane?" Stacy asked as he sat next to Randy.

"It takes up both lanes of the highway. I will be lead, Chuck and Smoke will be push trucks. Three weeks because of the speed and the route." Randy said and put his arm around Stacy.

"And that's after Jim, Kenny and Alice drag the big'in a day to the staging area." Randy said.

"I guess that means we will have a few days together out there then." Stacy said.

"I sure hope so." Randy said with a smile.

"Never been in a long distance relationship before." Stacy said.

"Me either. Just have to see how it goes." Randy said.

"Still, I am a little hesitant because of my problem." Stacy said. There he said it, he didn't know why but it had to be brought up.

Randy gave Stacy a little squeeze. "I don't think it is a problem. Sides its what's on the inside."

Stacy felt a little better knowing that. Randy put a finger under his chin and turned his head to look up at him. Stacy got lost in those blue eyes and was a little surprised when Randy kissed him.

However surprised Stacy was that didn't mean he did anything to stop him. Eventually he ended up on the pony's lap wearing his cowboy hat. Randy had his shirt unbuttoned with his hands firmly on Stacy's butt. "I'll stop if you tell me too."

"I'm not usually this nervous. Sorry about that." Stacy said. He could feel the bulge in Randy's pants.

Stacy giggled as Randy picked him up and carried him back to the bedroom. He quickly found himself shirt and braless on his own bed. He was a little embarrassed now that he wasn't padded.

Stacy locked his door and went to the bathroom to clean up, again. And called it a night without watching any late night TV.

Alice went down late in the morning to the shop. "Good you haven't ran off yet."

"They just got her put back together. Just have to load up." Randy said and gave Alice a hug.

"So you will be back around in two weeks?" Alice asked.

Randy tossed his bag in the truck. "Yup. Catch you later Speedy."

Alice hugged him back. "See you later Cowboy."

Randy climbed in and fired up his truck. A quick check of the gauges was all he needed since they had aired up the truck's air tanks with the shop's air compressor. Alice watched as he backed out and rumbled off to the equipment storage building. Jim and Kenny followed him in the shop truck and Alice closed those shop doors and walked over to the snow plow she was assigned.

Alice turned on the battery switch and hooked up an air hose to the truck's air tank. She checked all the lights and thumped the tires while it aired up. This was her first shift this snow season. She started the motor and hopped out to open the shop door.

She backed the truck out, got back out to close the shop door before buckling in for a little fun in the snow. Alice never thought it was work or even a chore. Hell with a sixteen foot front plow and another nine feet of wing plow it could shove a lot of snow.

Alice got on the radio to call out that she was underway. The control tower let her know where she would be today and with that done Alice turned up the stereo and headed out.

Jenny watched a few of the snow plows as they ran around the compound. It was harder to figure out which one was Alice since they wouldn't let her 'play'. It wasn't deep enough to break out the sleds and boards, but it was a start.

Nodrog had told them he would be home sometime in the next day or two. Roslyn was alive, they were at a vampire's estate out in Italy while her injuries healed. Jenny was happy he had disobeyed orders to rescue the otter. She really liked the woman and the fact he would drop things to save others.

Jenny was also getting a little impatient and wanted him to come home. She wondered if that was because she had been collared or something else. She handled most of their lab work while Alice was on snow patrol. They usually helped other places with their work when things slowed down. The museums were always needing an extra hand with things and they occasionally went to the university to help run tests.

Jenny was sitting in the their lab working on some paper work when Kathrin and Frank came in. "Hey. What's up?"

"Have you seen Nodrog around? We needed to ask him some things." Kathrin said.

This time Jenny remembered not to just blurt out what he was doing. "He will be gone for a few more days. Sorry but I don't know anything past that."

"Funny that's what Mr. October said." Frank said and leaned against Alice's desk.

"What do you need to ask him?" Jenny asked and partly spun in her chair to look up at them.

"Just some clarification on some things in a book we found." Kathrin said.

"Oh. I will tell him to find you when he gets back." Jenny said.

"Thanks." Frank said and the two left.

Chapter.

Jenny chewed on the cap of her pen for a bit trying to figure out what book they wanted him to look over. With a shrug she turned back to her computer report and typed away, forgetting she still had the pen in her mouth.

'The faces you make while concentrating are rather cute.' Nodrog said to Jenny from the villa patio.

Jenny focused on her reflection in the monitor. The emerald was glowing softly. 'That's cheating.'

'I know. It is so much fun. I already told Alice, I will be back some time tomorrow.' Nodrog said silently as he eyed Roslyn after she got dressed.

'Frank and Kathrin want to see you when you get back.' Jenny still needed practice, she couldn't do two things at once.

'They will just have to wait.' Nodrog chuckled. 'See you later love.'

Jenny smiled. 'Love you too.'

Jenny rubbed her temples. That was going to be hard to get used too. She wondered how Alice managed to do it so easily. Jenny crossed their lab to look out the window, it was nearly time to call it a day. Alice would probably be later since it was snowing. Two of the trucks were running down the parking lot, amber warning lamps lighting up the snow. It was nearly eight when Alice came home. Jenny had already showered and gotten ready for bed.

"Want me to heat you something up?" Jenny asked as Alice took off her winter gear.

"Please, and thank you." Alice said a smile on her face.

Jenny got up to warm up some enchiladas she had made, Alice's share was just bean and cheese. "If it keeps this up we might get to play a little early this year."

"It was starting to stick to the pavement when I parked for shift change." Alice licked her lips as she eyed Jenny in her brightly colored and unflattering pjs. They both liked it when the other was dressed up, but the silly stuff they wore in private was more... of a turn on.

Alice kissed Jenny and took the plate from her to sit down at the table. "The tower said they are expecting four to six inches."

"That will be nice. How often do you and Nodrog talk telepathically?" Jenny asked. She never wore panties with these pajamas, they just got in the way.

Alice paused and thought it over as she ate dinner. "Maybe once a week, if that. Why do you ask?"

"Since he put a collar on me, I can finally do it to. It's not very easy, even with the collar's help." Jenny said while Alice chowed down.

"This is a little 'hot'... It just takes practice, I am sure you will have it figured out in no time." Alice said with a smile.

"I got a little carried away with the spice, it's not too bad is it?" Jenny asked.

"This is about as spicy as I like it. The noodle dish you tried was so hot I couldn't kiss you." Alice said and the two laughed.

"Nodrog liked it." Jenny said.

Alice picked up her plate and took it to the sink. "That's because he has no taste buds, and neither do you some days."

Alice let out a squeak as Jenny quickly came up behind her. "I like the way you taste..." Jenny purred as she started unbuttoning Alice's shirt. "In fact, I love the way you taste, I can't get enough of you." Jenny whispered in Alice's ear.

Alice went to the living room window. "The first good snow of the year. Everything looks so pretty covered in white."

Alice glanced back at Jenny over her shoulder. "Hey, I think it looks pretty too... okay pretty enough to go do cookies in."

Jenny and Alice laughed. Alice hurried around so she wouldn't be late to get down to the shop. Jenny sat around in her pjs a little longer. She was surprised to hear the shower running in Nodrog's bathroom.

She carried her coffee cup with her and went back to his bathroom. "Good morning master." Jenny said teasingly.

"I didn't hear anyone out front so I thought you had both gone to work already. Morning love." Nodrog said.

"Just enjoying the snow and coffee... and a sexy naked dragon." Jenny said. The bathrooms had clear shower doors. All the better for watching people shower. "Is Roslyn okay?"

"She is a little down about losing her plane, but she is doing very good." Nodrog said.

"I bought you some more monster snacks while I was out the other day. I noticed you were out of bars." Jenny said and sipped at her coffee.

Nodrog turned off the water. "Thanks. Did you and Lilith get along well?"

Jenny sat on his bed as he dried off and got dressed. "I thought we did. She was very helpful and we did a little shopping off world. I will have to remember I owe her a piece of pie next time she comes here."

"Good, I am glad to hear that." Nodrog said as he pulled on a shirt and zipped up the sides. He bent down and gave Jenny a quick kiss. "Is Alice already gone?"

Jenny nodded. "Yup, all of them should be out plowing snow by now."

"Oh, I had hoped to see you both before I go and talk with Mr. October." Nodrog said. Jenny followed him out to the living room.

"They try and get a somewhat early start. It is too bad you did not see the reaction on their faces when I said you where my master. They looked frightened." Jenny said.

"They should be. I am proud you held your head high." Nodrog said. He pulled her over to his lap after she set her empty cup down.

"I'm still scared." Jenny said. They both had their legs stretched out on the couch. He had his arms around her.

"I can tell, your heart is racing. I would never do anything to hurt you." Nodrog said softly.

"Won't it hurt when you bite me?" Jenny turned her head to look at him when she asked.

"No, because I will never hurt you." Nodrog said. He kissed her shoulder.

Jenny leaned her head further right exposing her neck to him despite the trust she closed her eyes. He kissed her twice more and she felt a warm little glow, all over. She held her breath as his fangs touched her skin. Aside from the light pressure from him biting down, Jenny did not feel his teeth pierce her flesh.

A little moan escaped her lips as he fed on her blood. The sensation was odd, what should be painful was not. He had his arms firmly around her, not so she would try and get away... "Maybe. You and Alice mean everything to me." Nodrog gave her another squeeze. "I had better head up and talk to Mr. October. See how much trouble I am in for ignoring orders."

"As close as she said they were... you should not be in any trouble." Jenny said.

"Probably should find Frank or Kathrin after that. Hopefully Alice will not be to late tonight." Nodrog said as he headed to the door.

"Tell it to stop snowing than." Jenny said.

"The weather gods never listen to me." Nodrog said and gave her a wink before heading out.

Nodrog walked over to the elevator. He pushed up and waited. Marko usually did not get started until after eight and it was only a little after seven. As he stepped out of the elevator he heard the TV and two people talking. "Am I interrupting anything?"

Catlin looked up from her pad. "Not at all just the usual pre morning stuff. Did everything work out?"

Nodrog looked over to the TV. "Roslyn is in good health and she is at her apartment. Oddly there was an electrical fire and it seems all the important documents were burned up."

"It happens all the time." Catlin said with a smile.

Marko put his phone in his pocket. "Anyone else make it out?"

"The second crash survivor died several hours before I arrived. Due to shoddy wiring in a portable heater everything in the office pertaining to the investigation was destroyed. Including who was on the plane and who it belonged too." Nodrog said.

"I have always thought those heaters were dangerous. How injured was she?" Marko asked.

"Four broken ribs and the lower part of her left leg. She has a lot of spunk, I will give her that. Beaten, broken, starved, and dirty she still was thinking of escape or kickin someone's ass when I found her." Nodrog said.

"It's one of her more charming traits. I will have to call her before we get going." Marko said and glanced at his watch.

"Her cell phone was forgotten in the fire. She had mentioned something about looking for a safer job." Nodrog said with a smile.

Marko chuckled. "I will see what is available. Nodrog, I cannot thank you enough for rescuing Roslyn or the medical staff."

"It's a pleasant change of pace. It is nice to be the good guy once and a while." Nodrog said.

"Frank and Kathrin wanted you to help with a book they found. Sherman might also like some help with your next little project." Marko's assistant Tabbatha said.

"I will look for them next. Have a good day." Nodrog said and left to find Frank and Kathrin.
