Scooby woke with a yawn, his black, doggy eyes scanning the dark Mystery Machine, trying to remember what had led up to his long nap. The silence was eerie, " I'm alone ?" he asked himself as he stretched his long legs, and let out another long yawn. He blinked trying to remember what had he had dreamed about. But he just couldn't, so he dropped it and put his big paws on the back of the seats peering out of the windows on other side of the van. Nothing but darkness. He whimpered, knowing he was alone, in a cold, dark van, without Shaggy, was unthinkable. " Raggy?" he called out, as he pushed his paw onto the back door and peeked out. But his friend's voice did not answer him. Scooby hopped down out of the dark van, into a dark and cold, eerie place. " Raggy?" he cried out again, and again, no one answered. He realized where he was, it was a swamp, the gang had gone there to solve the Mystery Of The Anubis Stone. Scooby didn't delve deep into the details, but he knew that if the gang did not return in the morning, then he would have to come to the rescue, he seldom did. Scoob's paws touched mushy, swampy ground, his prints fresh in the ground, so anyone could follow them easily. Scooby was not aware of this, as he set off to search for his buddies.
Scooby arrived minutes later to a large castle, with the white moon peering upon the swampy land. Scooby shivered as he walked off of the wet, mushy ground, onto the cold, cobblestone walk, reminiscing on a moment that was so similar to this. It was a cold night. The castle was similar to this one, the same cobblestone walk, and the same white moon. However, he had been with Shaggy, his best friend, the only person he would be afraid of anything with.
