_Alright, I don't remember passing out in a forest, so where the hell am I? _

I tried to work the whole problem out it in my mind, but I couldn't make sense of things.

Then to my surprise a scream came from deep in the woods, "I didn't mean to!"

The voice sounds so familiar, but... but... Lu! I jumped up to my feet and started to make my way through the forest moving as fast as I could manage.

Then another voice boomed out, "You aren't one of us! Humans are filth, and you are no better!

Then Lu's voice started up, "I'm so sorry dad, I really didn't mean to!"

Come on dammit move faster! Just as I thought I would run out of time, I broke through a small bush and landed on a small opening among the dense trees. And before my eyes I saw one Lucario, and one tiny Riolu.

I decided to shout out, "lu!' But to my distress, they acted like I wasn't even there.

The Lucario spoke up, "You committed the ultimate sin trying to talk to a human. And for that, I can't call you my son anymore."

Alright that's definitely not Lu, but that Riolu... no that can't be, can it?

To my horror the Riolu darted away while shouting back, "I don't need you!"

Oh god no... "Lu come back!... Lu!"

But oddly, everything started to fade as way as my body was suddenly jolted by some force.

"Sarah! I'm right here Sarah... I'm right here." He tightly wrapped his arms around me, all the while I was gasping for air completely shocked that was a dream.

"I... I saw you..." I tried to finish my sentence, but my emotions got the best of me, and took my words away.

He lifted me up on top of him, and give me a small, but sweet kiss on my cheek. "Hey Sarah, It's alright, take a breath, I'm here for you love."

Again with these nicknames? I like it.

His words put me at complete ease, and his body felt rather comfy up against mine. I took a deep breath preparing to finish what I started, "I saw you, and your father Lu. I tried so hard to help, but I couldn't do anything."

I gripped the fur on his chest, and rested my forehead up on his shoulder, "I'm so sorry Lu."

But to my surprise he lifted my head up slightly, and gave me another kiss. "Hey, if my father would of met you before all of his previous owners, he would have a complete different view on humans."

He retracted one paw from my back and slowly rubbed my hair, making sure not to mess it up. "Humans are filth? Oh man my dad couldn't of been more wrong. Cause this one is quite the opposite."

That put a smile on my face, he still managed to love me even after he had to deal with a father who despised him. Not even forgetting his other trainers. And yet I found love in the same kind that took my brother from me. So I guess this chain works both ways.

Wait a minute, how did he know the exact words?

Out of curiosity I asked, "hey Lu, how did you exactly know what your dad said?"

I expected him to act shocked but he gave me a plain answer. "I've had the dream multiple times. And every single day I spend with you, I realize just how wrong he was." He tapped his head off of mine and continued playing with my hair. "I love you so much, and I'm not gonna let some stupid memory ruin that."

I teared up a little bit, but managed to keep my composure. "I love you too my silly little Riolu." He was about to protest, but I stopped him with a nice loving kiss right to the lips. He stopped playing with my hair, but instead he moved both of his paws to my face, and held on.

We remained like this for a good time, before my phone buzzing in my shorts interrupted our little moment. But the moment I pulled off Lu immediately stammered, "I'm not that little!"

I giggled as I whipped out my phone and quickly checked the text message. Lu re-positioned himself in the bed to get a better look at my phone, curious to see the message I got.

The text message was one from my dad and it read. "Hey Sarah, just checking in on you, uhh give me a call back so we can talk, I hate texting."

I looked to Lu for a second and said, "well I guess we better call him then."

"Hey can't you talk face to face on your phone?"

I was slightly surprised he knew that, but I quickly nodded in agreement. I positioned the phone in a better perspective, and sent the request to my dad. Plus he gets to see the ring too.

A few seconds passed, but we eventually ended up face to face with my dad.

He started off the conversation by saying, "you two look rather comfortable."

Lu tightened his grip around me which ended up making me giggle, but I still managed to say, "yeah, Lu and the new house are pretty comfortable."

My dad smiled, but he still seemed oddly anxious. Lu also took notice to this and asked, "what's wrong?"

He pulled on the collar of his shirt, "so are you two uhh..."

Immediately I held up my hand, flaunting the new engagement ring to my father.

He let out a sigh of relief and yelled out, "hey hun' come over here!" He then lowered his voice and said, "hey Lu, told you she would say yes." He then walked off camera.

I turned my head for a second to check out what Lu was doing, and he gave me a surprise kiss. Good thinking. I happily accepted his kiss as we both waited for my mom to get on camera before we stopped.

Soon enough my mom's voice rang out from the phone, "Sarah?"

We pulled off of each other, leaving a small saliva trail connected between our lips. He quickly wiped it away with a blanket before we both faced the camera again.

"Sorry about that, hey mom!"

She laughed and said, "you two are doing just fine, don't worry about it."

There was a few second pause before Lu grabbed my hand and held it up against the camera, showing the ring to my mother.

She cupped her hands around her mouth, and tears started to form in her eyes. I quickly said, "don't worry mom, Lu's taking good care of me."

She dried her eyes and spoke, "yeah I wasn't really worried about that, but my little girl is all grown up now!"

Lu laughing only added to the embarrassment of the whole situation. I buried my head into his chest and muffled out the words, "I'll talk to you later, okay mom?"

She was still chuckling over the stupid thing but nonetheless said, "I love you guys."

I was still face down in Lucario's fur when I heard my dad say, "hey Lu?"

His arms were still wrapped around me when he replied, "yeah?"

"Take extra care of my daughter alright?"

Lu happily replied, "of course."

I lifted my head up and noticed a giant grin on Lu's face. I also peeked over at my phone and noticed my dad was smiling too before he closed the call.

Why extra care? I was perfectly happy before. Not like the upcoming winter is gonna effect me. Lu and I love the snow.

"Hey Lu, can you get me some water please?"

He gave me a rather cute 'are you kidding me face'. But he moved me over on the bed, stood up, stretched, and headed down stairs on a new quest. I couldn't help but chuckle over the fact he actually did it. Hell, he would do anything I asked.

With record breaking speeds he came back upstairs with a glass of water tucked carefully in-between his paws. He handed the cup over, and I gave him a reward kiss for the deed.

He sat down next to me on the bed watching me drink. "Yeah I'd say that was worth the kiss."

I finished the glass and set it down on the night stand, "well there's an entire bank sitting here full of em."

He wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer to him. "Hey Lu, I know I asked this before, but would you be happier if I was a Lucario too?"

"Well Sarah I fell in love with you because of your personality. I wouldn't want to give up sleeping with you in the same bed if it meant you could switch species. Plus I love you taking me to human places and not being at all embarrassed by me. Couldn't ever experience that if you were a Lucario. But what if I was a human?"

"Heh, as odd as this would sound to a normal person, I wouldn't change you for anything. I love the warmth of your fur, your will to protect me, and you're pretty handsome if you ask me. It's fun experiencing different emotions with you, and a human would of given up on me by now. Plus if you were a human I would of died in the car crash."

His arm slowly retracted from my side, and he stood up. He grabbed my hands and pulled me out of bed. "Plus I would still be in that Pokecenter if you hadn't come along."

"Alright the point here is that I love you Lu, and I want nothing more from you okay?"

He nodded and give me a little kiss on the cheek. "You've given me more than any man could ask for, you're such an amazing person."

Honestly, I haven't really done anything that astounding yet. With his paw still in my hand, I led him downstairs and to our front door. I quickly put on my sneakers and opened the front door.

Lu decided to ask, "why are you in such a hurry?"

"Well I wanna get you a ring that fits properly."

Unfortunately for me he slyly replied, "that doesn't explain the rush though."

Wait, why the hell am I rushing? Not like they only make rings in the morning anyway.

I took a deep breath and answered, "I honestly don't know."

We both laughed, there really wasn't a single reason to rush at all.

I took a step outside, and waited for Lu to follow me, but for some reason he didn't.

"What's wro-"

Suddenly he pulled my old fedora off of the coat rack, and planted it on top of my head closing the door behind him as he did.

I wasn't really sure what to say, so I just made a short remark, "alright then?" I slightly tipped my hat forward to block the sun from burning my face.

We took a few more steps towards the car when he finally said, "I think it looks cute on you."

Those words caused me to smirk slightly, "well if you like it, then I'll keep it on, plus the sun is pretty brutal today."

I opened the passenger door for Lu before I made my way to the driver side door. As he climbed into the car he replied, "luckily I don't burn that easy."

Copying his actions, I closed the door and swiftly started the car. "nothing really gets to you that easy."

He just laughed as I carefully backed out of our driveway, making sure not to run anyone or anything over. "Yeah, but you tore right through my armor."

In his terms, I honestly did pierce right through him. He didn't even try rejecting me, instead, he instantly accepted my advances.

A few minutes passed from driving when we hit a red light._ Would he ever want to have sex_? The timing of the thought was completely off considering we weren't even doing anything romantic. But still though the thought burned in my head to the point I just had to ask.

The light changed to green, and I stepped on the gas pedal maintaining the speed limit. My face started to burn up, but It was a question that needed an answer!

"Hey uhh Lu?'

He turned his head and focused completely on me, "yeah?"

I took a hand off of the wheel for a second to make a nervous adjustment to my hat. Dammit I should of waited.

"Has the idea of having... you know..." Luckily my phone went off in my pocket saving me from an awkward situation. I pulled my phone out and quickly handed it over to Lu, "I don't feel like dying right now, so can you read it for me?"

My face was still pure red, but at least It gave me a second to think. Ah shit, I didn't unlock the phone!

But luck was on my side once again as we hit another red light. I quickly stopped the car and looked over to Lu and saw a scene that I couldn't ever forget. He was trying to unlock my phone using his muzzle. He had both paws holding the phone up, and was practically smashing his face off of the phone. Not laughing was nearly impossible, but I was actually more impressed he was still trying. After like three more tries I finally heard the unlock sound and just bursted out laughing. His face instantly filled up with redness as even he realized how ridiculous he looked.

*beep! beep!*

Ah crap! I practically jumped on the pedal completely forgetting I was sitting at a red light. But to my own despair he started laughing at me as well.

Yeah I definitely deserved that one... I waited a few seconds before looking back over, and when I saw his face I knew the message wasn't a good one. Horror was the only word that could describe his face. His mouth was wide open and eyes were much wider than normal, even his pupils looked horrified.

His voice came out shaky, "Sarah, please pull over."

Oh great... this can't be good.

I found a small driveway that was empty and quickly pulled in stopping the car on the gravel. He dropped my phone on the ground, unbuckled his seat belt, reached over and unbuckled mine. But before I could ask what he was doing, he lifted me out of my seat and cradled me on his lap.

What the fuck happened?!

He dropped his head next to mine and whispered in my ear, "your mom she... she isn't with us anymore."

No... no... no fucking way! She was fine an hour ago!

I lost it and broke out in tears. My heart rate sky rocketed, my breathing was unstable, and I just shut my eyes trying to block out the world. Everything slowed down to the point I wasn't even sure if I was conscious anymore.

_I... I didn't even get to say goodbye... Why! why... _

My face was soon completely soaked from my own tears. Lu thankfully picked me up allowing me to bury my face into his chest. I tried to speak but no audible words could even be formed.

Lu instead did the speaking for me, "I'm here Sarah, just don't let go of me alright? Just don't let go, and everything will be alright."
