The Dark Cell: Ground Up Fingers
After a month of various methods of unusual torture. This is only one of which, he clearly recalls in its entirety. Not knowing how he managed to survive for three weeks, bound to a metal table. This last act of cruelty, feels all too real.
Ground up Fingers

As my mind drifted to sleep, I found my back against a stone
wall. I was terrified of what lay in front of me, utter darkness.
I stood there, my eyes wide. What's one to do, if their eyes
never adjust to the darkness? The stone façade I was pressing against, was
sucking the warmth from my body. Clenching my teeth to keep them from rattling,
my body shivered as I lay huddled on the stone floor.
I kept staring forward, eyes attempting to pierce through
the darkness. As I did, my mind started to recall past events, playing them out
in front of my eyes. Using the palette of darkness to convey the horrid imagery
of what had happened, the night before...
"I like my fingers, I enjoy drawing, using my keyboard,
pressing the buttons on my mouse, even gently gliding them across the
translucent screen of my smartphone. I don't like it, when I'm strapped to a
vertical table, with massive, dark, soft furry fingers around my neck. Gripping
firmly, tightly strapping me into place." I mumbled.
Feeling exhausted, I merely wanted to go back to sleep. I
wanted to forget this blur in front of my eyes, and rest just a little more.
With the back of my head, pressing tightly onto the
stainless steel workman's table, my movement was constricted to the point where
I couldn't even struggle against the bonds.
As the blurriness from my eyes dissipated, I was met with
the sight of a large furry torso literally inches from my face. The creature
was reaching for something behind me, behind the table onto which I was bound
and angled to forty-five degrees. Attempting to tilt my head upwards even a
little, it was impossible to do so.
The massive wall of blackish-blue fur moved backwards. He
had selected whatever was behind me, now seeing his built frame moving
backwards, hovering away from me. The creature's chest fur was waving with the
backward motion, as its body regained its upright posture. This smooth, flowing
texture of fur was surreal. I assumed I was awake. It was almost as if this
massive creature, was an actual living being, instead of something made up
through unconscious dreaming.
Jaguar, it looked kind of like one, at least. I knew full
well that it wasn't, but that's what I'll refer this creature to as resembling.
His head was very thick looking, eyes were nothing but black lenses and his maw
was filled with the sharpest incisors, I had ever seen.
His face had the expression of utter discontent. It was as
if he wasn't happy doing his job, or in the position he had acquired. He seemed
to be doing what he had to do, simply so that he would get a paycheck.
In his left paw, two giant fingers around the handle of this
instrument, which looked like a rasp used to smooth wood. That's what he had
been reaching for, earlier he had been deciding for a lengthy while on which
size to use, and how fine he wanted the texture to be.
My right hand was free, but he was reaching for it.
Desperately trying to undo the binding to my neck, my fingers were in-between
the flesh of my neck and the hardened metal binding. Attempting to tug, it
didn't budge, nothing more I could do before the Jaguars other hand clenched
onto my arm. Soft fingers elongating my tiny limb, stretching it out, holding
firmly. Trying to pull away only forced him to grip tighter, it was like a
furry vice. He eventually gripped my entire arm, placing his fingers around, he
held my elbow in place, so that I wouldn't be able to pull out.
Closing my fist, I felt his massive soft furry thumb pry it
open, I was unable to close it again, not with that furry appendage in the way,
though it felt extremely soft and delicate. The texture of this creatures fur
was unbelievable, I loved the way its warmth radiated through my hand, the way
the Jaguars smooth skin cushioned in as I tried to struggle against it.
It felt so painful when that jaguar-looking being, forced
the tips of my fingers to that rasp. Clutching my arm so tight, I couldn't pull
away, the creature continued to grind my fingertips unil they were bloody and
torn.
The nerve pain never went away, I felt it the entire time.
After a while, I hoped that some sort of numbness would set in. This creature
knew what he was doing, he knew how to get the most out of his work. After he
stopped, I started to struggle, the pain was just too much, yelling out "why
are you doing this!?" The response I received to my question, was nothing more
than a chuckle, as my arm was placed back into the binding. Feeling as if my
fingertips had been shaved down to the bone.
Intense pain pulsed through my right hand, reaching up all
the way to my shoulder. I will say, though that I enjoyed the cool sounding
chuckle the Jaguar made, even though it wasn't much of a response. Hearing his
voice, the subtle sound of his chuckle, almost made me forget the intense pain,
it was all I could think about for the rest of the day.
Recalling how real that dream seemed. Dreading to imagine if
I didn't wake up or worse, couldn't wake up, because that was my reality. That
would be the worst possible place to exist.
...I saw many others there, out of the corner of my eye. They
were sleeping peacefully, bound. I was the only one who was awake, the only one
terrified out of his mind, as I stared at the mountainous scientist in front of
me.
Now that I think about it. It seems clear how I got here. I
had, awoken.
