Resurrection Pt1
#102 of Exploration
On the day of resurrection, I, and thus, Casdey, woke at six o'clock. I was naturally excited, and after leaving her body looking around at everything, so keen to get on with things.
"So, Alduin, when will it all be done by?"
"I don't know, it depends on how fast Mendra got to work on the potion."
"And when will I know it's done?"
"I'll come back here, wearing a reincarnation."
Casdey groaned. This was not in the fear of my return to body, but rather at the shocking use of a pun.
"I hope your sense of humour is better when you are alive."
"It's always been like that."
"Guess it's not only your body that should have gone to the cemetery. Your jokes should have followed."
"O.K., very clever, all dead and buried, right?"
"Alduin!" she rolled her eyes, and I laughed.
"Sorry, I guess I'm a little excitable."
"A little? If it weren't for the fact you were dead you'd be bouncing off the walls. You are glowing brighter this morning."
"I feel so, unalive." I laughed, and Casdey gave me up as a lost cause and went to have a shower. I wandered through the door into the corridor, and found Alecto and Silverine just about to enter. Both almost jumped a foot.
"Alduin, that's very, unnerving." Alecto breathed deeply, hands on knees getting over the fright. Silverine rolled his eyes and leaned against the wall.
"Draco and the Terrans have gone to get the magicians. They will all be assembling at Mendra's in approximately two hours. Mendra reckons it will be ready in three, Grant went down there to ask him."
"Ah, so the cat and the big cat are talking, huh?"
"I've already tried inviting Mendra to Central, but he politely declined." Silverine replied, and then caught my grin,"No, I don't know if they are having it off."
"You could check." I suggested mischievously, and the Lupogriff laughed.
"I could, had it not been for the fact Grant's done a lockdown on his glasses." Which meant he had shut off all the functions on it, and could be interpreted that he was indeed engaging in sex with the eight foot cat creature. No proof, but it was taken for granted by people around here. Alecto spoke.
"I was just about to teleport down there with your body, so it's all ready."
I thought inwardly that this is possibly the strangest conversation anyone could have, talking about the state of your own corpse. I shrugged and nodded.
"As long as I spend as little time looking at it. My expression, well, I must have been surprised." I wasn't kidding either, it gave me nightmares thinking on it.
Alecto nodded, and went off down the corridor. Silverine spoke.
"What's your plan with Casdey?"
"Fairly simple. She stays here until I regain my body. Then I come back here and teleport her to Sharak's cave."
"Any other plans that devious mind of yours is working on?"
"Not as yet, but it's only a matter of time." I smiled, and the Lupogriff laughed.
"You have my permission to possess me, I am yet to find out what this almost addictive feeling is like, or as Doran and Alecto mentioned it as."
"Addictive?"I repeated, looking amused,"I should hope not."
I asked Silverine to wait three minutes, and went back into the living quarters to speak to Casdey.
"Casdey?" I called into the bathroom, and the squirrel spoke just as there was the sound of water rushing.
"Are you off, Alduin?" she asked, with a bit of trepidation.
"I am, I'll see you in a couple of hours, all going well."
"I will not wish you good luck."
"I'd be horrified if you did." I smiled, and turned, walking back out.
Fully in charge of Silverine's limbs ten seconds later, and with the Lupogriff making a series of smart alec comments, which I merely smiled at, I wandered down the corridor. The great advantage of possession when it came to teleportation, the teleporters did not read that the wrong mind was in charge of the body, because it read the DNA. This meant I didn't have to continuously hang onto someone else.
O'eola, Draca and Mabel walked down the corridor, behind Draco, and I heard Mabel mutter something, none of them had seen Silverine before. O'eola looked a little apprehensive at this eight foot monster, Draca merely looked intrigued. Draco was unaware of me.
"Silverine, we're just going to the planet now. Winslo and Tahir have already gone down there, so we'll have a lot of numbers."
"Very well, Draco." I nodded, briefly squaring the Lupogriff's hulking frame, and the dragon led the three magicians up the corridor, while I meandered towards the Great Hall.
"I don't see what all the fuss is about, really." The Lupogriff said cheerfully.
"What about?"
"It's really boring, it's as though you are in a dream, to watch everything and be unable to react to anyone except with you."
"So it's not warm and fuzzy?"
"Oh it is, and it feels nice, but I could name a hundred things I'd rather be doing."
I smiled, and walked into the Great Hall. Sunrise, Runo and Hinori were bringing back the elven goddesses, four of them had volunteered to help. That meant seven, plus three, plus four, fourteen? The numbers were sufficient. The elven goddesses looked around, and Kohana came up to me/Silverine.
"So you're the one in charge?"
"Of this lot?" I replied, in Silverine's gruff voice," I suppose so."
Kohana smiled."The rumours precede you, Silverine."
"They have a tendency to." The Lupogriff said in my ear, and I nodded. Kodey looked over at me, and stopped, staring deeply at me. I walked over to him, and he looked at me.
"O.K., you are certainly Alduin." he said frankly.
"ah, right, I'm being too graceful, correct?" I asked, and the Lupogriff laughed loudly in my ear. Kodey chuckled.
"Not really, Alduin, but you weren't acting like Silverine does. And I've seen my fair share of Silverine's mannerisms."
"Would that include those of a highly sexual nature?" I suggested, and Kodey blushed.
"You make a knack of that, don't you?" Silverine asked.
"Well, if Silverine doesn't mind, then, I would, but..." the reindeer said, looking down.
"Don't worry, I was kidding. Just you're the only one who has noticed me as a fraud." I ruffled the reindeer's head in a fatherly way, between the antlers. He flushed, and smiled.
"You walk differently from him."
"That's because normally I'm carrying my own weight of seventy kilograms. How much does Silverine weigh?"
"Over a hundred!" the Lupogriff said in a very firm tone,"And don't let him tell you otherwise."
"One hundred and..." Kodey began.
"He doesn't want me to know exactly." I said quickly, and Kodey laughed.
"I'll go with that. So what is your plan?"
"Two hours to go, I'm open to suggestions." I replied, stretching full length.
"Is Silverine open to suggestion?" Kodey teased.
"I'm open to fucking him." the Lupogriff suggested, with a harsh bark of laughter.
I relayed this to the reindeer, and he looked shyly."Umm, O.K. where?"
Silverine suggested his room, and I gently took the reindeer's hand and led him towards the Lupogriff's room. Silverine really lived in two rooms. There was his office, where he did all the paperwork and administrative things that the glowers didn't, and then there was his bedroom, which was quite a way off the beaten tracks, down a dead end corridor near the glower's lived. The glowers, as they were happy to divulge, had about six square miles of room to themselves, but refused to divulge anything more than that, except where things fitted up.
Silverine's quarters, along with a few of the elves and a couple of the eldar dragons lived along a main corridor running parallel with the beginning of 'glower' territory. Only the Lupogriff had ever been in their area, and like the sensible and terrified Lupogriff he was, he had never informed us what he had seen.
But we walked for a good ten minutes, finally coming to a halt at the end of this corridor, which no where to go except a door directly ahead. Kodey went in first, and I entered the Lupogriff's quarters for the first time.
The main room was much the same as any other, with the usual walk in kitchen, and table in the centre, but there was one little difference. To the right was a single door, with eight bars running lengthwise across it. Each of them looked very heavy indeed, and Silverine understood my stare of confusion.
"That is my own personal door to the glower's chambers. The door is coded to my DNA, and only I can lift the bars. I have never used that door, because it's when I need to urgently ask them something, and I've never considered myself that desperate. Technically, this isn't my room, it's the Chief Scout's."
I understand the principle, our school head master got a house next to the school as part of becoming head master. Two other doors broke off from this main room, the left went to the bathroom, and the right went to Silverine and Kodey's room. They both had double beds, O.K.., now I was envious, and a chest of drawers each. Then one wardrobe each. Silverine had the most astonishing collection of long flowing cloaks, there almost had to be a dozen of them. None had the runes Winslo's cloak did, and they couldn't change colour depending on the wearer's mood, but they looked cool.
Kodey's wardrobe was mostly well wearing and sensible shirts and trousers. The former were all button up shirts, so they didn't go over his antlers.Kodey never failed to look respectable, a far hue and cry from when he was the raptor's prisoner. With my black, I frequently looked careworn and casual. Draco was even more casual with his almost complete lack of clothes. Kodey on the other hand was neatly groomed (I was hardly ever clean shaven), and clean clothes (Again, score). His kit was immaculate (My RPG was dirty as a matter of pride, although my rifle was kept polished), and he was cuter than me no matter how ragged he looked.
So, comprehensively untidier than the reindeer, why was it he picked up the ladies all the time on new planets? I wonder.Kodey's personal items really still only numbered one, his necklace, and Silverine didn't appear to have any personal life displayed here at all, save that with Kodey. Silverine's wardrobe was also stocked with weaponry. There was a high powered sniper rifle, a double barrelled shotgun, two pistols, a halberd, long sword, heavy flail (Christ, there's a scary thought, him whirling a heavy flail) and one short knife, which Kodey could have carried as a sword. Again, the reindeer only carried a short dagger, which he was not really skilled in, and his own C.E.O pistol.
Kodey sat down on his bed without conversation, and began stripping down, and Silverine told me to follow suit. I stripped the Lupogriff's body, although with slight difficulty, having never had claws while doing so before.Unsurprisingly, I could feel the power in my limbs while doing so, Silverine had the most astonishing muscular frame. As soon as both of us were naked, I went over to Kodey, and gently picked him up from his seated position. He was facing away from me, and he jerked for a couple of seconds in surprise.
I sat down on his bed, and sat him on top of my lap, next to my, hold that, Silverine's cock.Kodey gently stroked it as he leaned forwards for a kiss, and I was not slow to respond. Deftly, I stroked his own member with one hand, and with the other gently kept Kodey within make out range. Kodey was quite happy to draw this out as long as possible, and his passion for, Silverine, was so exhilarating. I felt like I was intruding in their love life. Gareth loved me like this, the fire was so obvious, and the same with the two of them.
I continued to stroke, waiting for Kodey to succumb to temptation, and within a couple of minutes he broke off, and got onto his knees astride me, the tip of my fully erect cock pressing gently against his ass. I smiled seraphically at him, and leaned back on my arms.
"The lead is yours, Kodey."
"You are almost certainly not Silverine." he laughed, and I smiled weakly. Silverine burst out into fits of hysteria, his laughter echoing in my mind.
The reindeer gently moved up and down a couple of times, teasing the tip of my cock, and then finally pushed down with enough force to allow me in.I sighed as he went all the way, and then began to rise and fall sedately on my cock.
Silverine wanted me to be more assertive with the reindeer, but I felt Kodey should at least start doing it his way before I started pushing him the way the Silverine did.Besides, the Lupogriff's form of dominance was definitely not my usual frame of mind.
Kodey had his eyes closed, his hands resting on my stomach as he rose and fell, breathing loudly with sexual tension. His own cock hardened, and I wrapped a furry paw around it, letting Kodey thrust into it as he rose. Kodey moaned, and began rising and falling a lot more rapidly, his moans becoming more intense with every stroke.I growled softly in my own enjoyment. Kodey finally gave up the lead, and flopped down, his back on my chest.
"Silverine, fuck me."
Hmmm, I guess he had forgotten. Ah well. I wrapped one hairy wolven arm around his waist, holding him firm, and the other stroked his cock. Than I began thrusting into the reindeer's ass with a bit more power than I was used to. Silverine was a lot stronger than my human body, and Kodey moaned as I pumped back and forth. He was absolutely loving it. I worked harder, and after a minute Kodey howled and thrust deep through my hand, ejaculating onto the floor with a gasp. I milked him until he had stopped cumming, and then began fucking him at Silverine's rate.
He gasped and squirmed, moaning in pain and pleasure, and then gave a small shriek as I shafted him deeply once. With a wild howl I ejaculated, my semen filling up the reindeer's ass and flowing back out down onto my chest.
I picked the reindeer up, standing with Kodey in my arms. He was still impaled on my wolven member, and as I turned him around, he came forward and began to make out with me.
After me/Silverine and Kodey had finished our enjoyment, and we had regained our dignity, we went back to the Great Hall, and met Ryan Lewis.
"I'm coming with you." he said firmly,"Don't even think of arguing."
"I wasn't thinking of arguing." I looked upwards and rolled my eyes. Kodey started to giggle.
Ryan looked confused at this reaction, and looked between the Lupogriff and the reindeer.
"What is this about?" he demanded, looking at the two of us, while I was desperately trying not to laugh.
"Alduin's currently possessing Silverine." Kodey turned and chortled merrily, while Ryan Lewis looked in surprise.
"O.K., how on Earth did you do that?"
"He let me. Does he want me out?"
Silverine chuckled."Seeing as every seems to know."
I walked out, and the Lupogriff bent over as he was returned control, he felt slightly unwell. The slight item of interest was that as I walked out, I actually looked like those I had possessed for a merest second, and quickly morphed before looking like my own self, so I actually walked out eight fall tall and somewhat wolven, before shrinking down and looking human. It was only really noticeably with those who were radically different, like Arachno or bigger/ smaller, like Zac or Silverine.
I smiled at Ryan Lewis, and he only just held himself in check. Silverine stood straight, and shook himself.
"That was not so comfortable." he stretched his arms.
"I agree, that looked somewhat painful. Alduin looked like a bastard love child from the pair of you for a second." Ryan Lewis said, commenting on my half human half lupine morph. Silverine smiled, and spoke.
"Well, he's not coming back in, I didn't like it at all. See you down there, Alduin?"
He grabbed Kodey and vanished. I rolled my eyes at Ryan Lewis, and he smiled.
"Don't worry, I'll be charitable. So what were you doing inside our loyal Chief Scout's body, exactly? You three apparently left here a couple of hours ago." my fellow human asked.
"To put it bluntly, having it off together." I said with an attempted straight face, but failed and joined in with Ryan's laughter.
"So what's going to happen once you regain your body?"
"Regarding what?" I asked.
"Regarding everything. What do you want to do?" he asked me, and I shrugged.
"Go back home, for a start. If you're wondering about sex, you, me and Gareth are going to have a threesome, because you two are those I protect and love most."
Ryan allowed me to enter his body, and Ryan and me took the hand of Simba, who had been patiently waiting for confirmation I was going down there. The thought I had gone already had not crossed his mind.
We landed next to a large shack. It was in the midst of huge amounts of trees, almost a protective wall of them. The shack was brightly lit from the inside with flickering lights, and I could hear mantras being chanted, the magical power almost tangible in the air. I walked out of Ryan's body, and turned to face him, as he bent over, hands on his knees in surprise.
"I'm not going in there right now, Ryan. Just tell them I am here." the lion and the human entered the building.
I stayed outside, not because of anyone's orders, but because I wanted to see as little of this as possible.I did not want to know exactly what they were doing to my body, how I looked or anything, because I had enough of my mind to think about. Ryan came back out.
"Ten minutes. Mendra said it's practically ready."
"What does it look like?"
"Well, there's a large box like thing made out metal, which is where you are. The potion has to submerge you completely, according to the cat. Then the magic will begin."
"Do I have to be doing anything at the time?"
"No, as long as you are nearby. Obviously the closer you are, the easier the spell will work, but you don't have to stand next to it."
"I think I'll lie beside it when the time comes." I muttered. Ryan nodded, and shut the door. Everyone knew I was a little nervous. While the potion was fairly easy, I had heard rumours of what happened if it wasn't made properly, or not enough power was behind the spell. I really didn't want that to happen to me.
My internal clock counted down the minutes, and I noticed that the combined magical power in the room behind me was causing the interior to glow, the underneath of the door and the window were both glowing a variety of colours. Magicians had their own magical colour, as it were. Runo's were a redder colour, Hinori silver, Kohana green, etc. Their common spells, like dispel, were the same colour, but even then you could detect slightly changing in the shade. Runo's dispel bordered on purple, his own red tint mixing with the blue. Hinori and Winslo's spells were paler unless the spell was white, like a lightning bolt, in which case the white was more intense.
Mendra came out, and turned to me.He looked supremely confident, his tail flicking back and forth.
"Morning, Alduin, ready to get your body back?"
I turned and looked at the cat creature, and I was anything but confident. Mendra must have caught my expression.
"Don't panic, I've had to raise people before, I don't make mistakes."
"I think I'm allowed to be a little panicked. It's my body, after all." I replied, looking away.
Mendra smiled knowingly." I spent a couple of days as a rock, Alduin, I know how it feels. We are ready for it, so where will you stand?"
I debated short and hard about this. One option was I could actually lie through my body, the minimum of fuss when it came to shifting soul and spirit, but I had heebie jeebies over this idea, lying in my own corpse. The other option is stand as close to it as possible, and that wasn't much of an option either.
Nevertheless I walked in, Mendra stepped aside to let me enter, and I looked into the shack for the first time.
It was not a large shack. A temporary bed had been set up in one corner, and this seemed more a temporary structure than a tent. The room was packed with people though.
Grant was still there, Ryan G, Ryan L, Draco, Simba, Javid, Salbar, Silverine, Kodey and the fourteen magicians. Winslo's cloak runes were pure white, and the bunny smiled at me.
The three draconic brothers were dressed in robes according to their own colours, but otherwise identical. O'eola was dressed in his usual black, Mabel in her full armour and holy cross. Draca wore very little, and the goddesses were wearing dresses. Esme wore her solid black cloak, and Mendra was as usual topless with trousers.
Mendra spoke, the big cat taking a deep breath.
"Alduin's strength will be very little to begin with, such an absence from his body will make him very weak for an hour or two.As you are all aware, he must be naked for this, otherwise his clothes will melt into the skin by the chemical processes (no one had mentioned This to me). I take it we brought him some clothes?"
Draco smiled at me."I got some from your house, along with your travel cloak to keep you warm."
"Someone cares." I smiled.
"Now, everyone who isn't taking part, step back, the rest form a circle. Sunrise, help me with the cauldron."
AH yes, the cauldron. It lay in one corner, quite large as cauldrons go, and was filled with a green oozing liquid which bubbled eerily and slowly. I watched as the dragon hybrid, in his dragon form, helped Mendra lift the entire thing, and carry it over to the metal container. I tried not to look in, but curiosity was too great.
My naked body lay in the centre, hands limply by my side. My eyes had been shut, my expression blank and lifeless. My hair had not grown, due to gentle repose, and likewise I looked very healthy. Both feet pointed outwards. Sunrise and Mendra tipped the cauldron, and the green potion began to swirl towards the lip.
The concoction landed on my chest, smoking and steaming. Slowly the liquid began to fill the vat, and I noticed that while it did, I remained on the bottom, floating was not possible. My hair rose with the level of the potion, though, and it spread out in the rocking motion, like a dandelion. The chemical mix covered my nose and mouth, and my body was completely submerged, although by some property of the potion, we could all see my body clearly.
I shivered at the horrifying sight, and took several deep breaths, closing my eyes. I heard Sunrise and Mendra walk away, and put down the cauldron. Then Mendra spoke.
"I will incite the rite, you will feel it try and take your tongue. Let it do so, it will channel your power." he said.
There was a shuffle of noise, and then the cat spoke in a tongue of which I had never heard. It fizzed with it's own life, the merest suggestion of it's tone willing me to speak.
So I spoke. I had no idea what I was saying, I had no idea of the language, but I was just following what Mendra was saying, automatically. I heard Winslo saying the same, and the three deeper voices of the dragon brothers. The goddesses enchanting tones pronounced the same thing, their language more ethereal. O'eola spoke, and his islander accent sounded even more mysterious. Mabel spoke in a firm commanding voice, and I could hear the hissing of Draca in her own voice. Esme's vice was firm, but older with experience, and harder.
Mendra led the chant, his deep masculine voice chanting as steady as a rock, and we followed four counts behind him, like a sort of round. Then half of them began speaking four counts after us, and then there was another break, so there were four lots of chanting. It was impressive to listen to, a continuous mumbling of power. What's more the chant only went on for sixteen, so everyone was speaking each line at the same time.
The magic began to build up, and I felt the power pulsing around me, and I opened my eyes by habit. The potion was bubbling frantically around me, the steam hissing and swirling around me.It encoiled me, and I felt scared, but I just kept chanting, because I couldn't do anything else.I felt an urge to lie down with my body, and I obeyed, climbing into the container and lying in the same position as my body.
As I did, I was suddenly unable to speak, or breathe. I was caught so off balance, and I felt restrained. Unable to move, unable to make a sound, my mind began to panic, not liking the way this was going. I couldn't see either, except for bright white symbols of an impossible language, which danced in front of my eyes. I screamed inwardly, and tried to struggle against this restrainment, as though I was being choked.
There was a violent hiss that surged under all the chanting, and I could feel a very nasty feeling pulsing from my head, heading along all my nerves. It was like a moment, the cold shiver like someone walking over one's grave, but it was multiplied over and over again.I tried to call for help, but nothing came out. The chant grow louder, pounding through my head, the mantra driving itself through me. I felt helpless and alone.
The shivering sensation reached the lower extremities of my body, and I quivered, moving spastically under the power. The mantra got louder still, and more forceful. Then there was a huge iron crushing blow to my chest, and I screamed in agony. The pain was unbearable, and I screamed, a keening noise of almost improbable proportions. The chant stopped immediately, and I could hear echoes of my cry, mere whisperings.
Then, with a sudden burst, the pain lifted.
