The smell of baking bread was the first thing to penetrate the haze of sleep surrounding Elizabeth? consciousness. Shortly thereafter was the smell of coffee?nd that meant it was time to wake up. Elizabeth stretched, pushing her arms out from under the covers and opening her jaws wide enough to display her tonsils. It took more than a few blinks to clear her eyes of sleep, and even longer for her to remember why Mother wasn? in bed with her. She yawned again, then threw back the duvet to start her morning ritual.
She crawled down the bed until she was next to Father's hips. He was laying on his side today, unfortunately. She sighed, and reached out with one paw to scratch at his tummy, a few inches above where his morning wood was showing. Everyone loves belly rubs, she thought, running her dulled claws through the lighter colored fur on his belly. His fur was course and rough, in stark contrast to hers and mother's. Then again, he wasn't as particular about using fur-conditioners and such.
It was probably thirty seconds or so before father rolled onto his back, yawning and stretching much like she had a moment ago. Before he'd even finished rolling over, Lizzy had planted her mouth firmly over the tip of his penis and started sucking on it, waking him the same way she'd been waking him for years now. She wasn't quite sure why she'd done it the first time, but he'd seemed to enjoy it...at least until he'd woken up and realized it was her and not Mother. That first morning had been very noisy, but in the end, Mother and Father had said she could do it again. So she did. Every morning.
Elizabeth loved the feel of his member in her mouth, feeling him stiffen further with every beat of his heart. The taste was weird when she first started, but it quickly faded, and as he started leaking pre, it quickly became salty and savory. She tried to wrap her tongue around it, but as it became longer and thicker she settled for simply licking the sides. It wasn't long at all before his tip touched the back of her mouth. Then braced herself and swallowed, feeling it make it's way down her throat. The hairs at the tip of his sheath tickled her nose as she swallowed the last of his penis.
She held his member in her throat for a moment, letting her throat get used to just like she had to let her flower get used to his member. Then she began slowly, rhythmically swallowing around his length. When he moaned, she knew she was doing it right. She smiled and wrapped a paw around one of his testes, waiting for the slight tensing that would let her know that he was about to ejaculate. It wasn't very long; it never was in the morning. Elizabeth wrapped her other paw around the base of his penis as she sat back and pulled his length most of the way out of her mouth. His member twitched once, twice...then began firing squirt after squirt of hot, slimy cum across her tongue, the roof of her mouth, the back of her throat...She let it pool on her tongue, waiting until he was all spent before swallowing it in one gulp.
As much as she loved her father, she didn't like having his taste in her mouth all day, and jumped off the bed and darted into the bathroom to pour herself a cup of mouthwash. After climbing onto the the stool, she gargled, spit, rinsed, spit, then did it all over again. Even then, it wouldn't be totally gone until she had brushed her teeth after breakfast. By the time she was finished, father was finally sitting up in bed, rubbing his eyes with one paw. She walked over to his side of the bed and grabbed him around the waist in a hug.
"...uhh...good morning, princess," he said, rubbing the top of her head. "Thank you for waking me."
"You're welcome!" she said, before walking to the end of the bed and pulling on a nightgown. Before her father had even stepped out of bed, Elizabeth was out the door and walking down the stairs towards the foyer. Her toe claws clicked against the marble floor as she walked into the dining room, then into the kitchen where Charlotte was busy making breakfast, already dressed in a skirt and blazer for school. She walked up to charlotte and hugged the girl's waist.
"Good morning, Elizabeth," The teenage doberman said, looking down. "What would you like on your pancakes? Peaches and cream?"
"Yes, please!"
"Done. It will be at the table in a moment."
Elizabeth climbed up onto her chair, then started swallowing her morning pills one by one with a swallow of milk. By the time she had finished, the glass of milk was half empty, and Charlotte was setting the small plate of pancakes topped with peaches and whipped cream in front of her. "Thank you, Charlotte."
"You're welcome, darling," the maid replied before heading back into the kitchen to prepare eggs and toast for Terrence. Elizabeth was polishing the last bit of food off her plate as her father stumbled into the dining room wearing a bathrobe. He patted her on the head before collapsing into a chair. Charlotte walked in moments later with a plate of food and a cup of coffee for him. He winced as the plate clinked against the tabletop, then nodded his thanks to Charlotte.
"Thank you, Charlotte! It was delicious," the tiny stoat said as Charlotte picked up the now-empty plate from in front of her.
"You're welcome. Do you know what would you like for lunch?"
"Can I have a bento box, pleeeaaase?"
"You certainly can. I'll make one for each of us," the doberman girl said with a smile.
"Yay! Thank you!"
"You're welcome, dear. Now hurry up and get ready for school."
"Okay!"
With that, Elizabeth hopped off her chair and walked over to the lift in the foyer, heading up to her room on the third floor to get ready for school. Terrence just blinked, blearily as he nursed a cup of coffee and waited for it to take effect.
=^.^=
Other than having Charlotte brush her hair and having father drive her to school instead of mother, Elizabeth's day passed uneventfully. Charlotte's, on the other paw, was decidedly unusual. Making the bento boxes took longer than expected, as did taking a bit of time to brush Elizabeth's fur. She mostly managed to make up for it by racing on her bike, even though she hated arriving at school sweaty and out of breath. She barely had enough time to make it to her locker and grab her books before heading to History class.
Once again, the school district had adopted a four block schedule for high schools in the Tigard-Tualatin area, leaving her with a mind-numbing ninety minutes in each class. Today was her boring day: biology, history, math, and japanese. She only hoped that she'd be able stay awake through math; classes after lunch were the worst for trying to stay awake. Her only saving grace was that her Japanese teacher allowed her to read manga instead of following the lesson plan...as long as they were in japanese. It was actually almost as much work as doing the lessons, considering how much time she spent looking up kanji in her dictionary.
Biology started with a surprise: As she walked through the door, the teacher handed her a sheet of paper. The back of the room had been set up with microscopes and several small boxes of slides. She sighed; a lab experiment. After the bell rang, the small anole lizard who instructed the class walked up to the front of the classroom and called roll, randomly picking students off his list and assigning them to specific lab stations. After it was done, she walked back to her assigned station while reading the lab worksheet.
"Hello, Charlotte."
Charlotte glanced up. The bright pink face and white fur of the monkey in front of her was only vaguely familiar.
"Uhh. Hi. Sorry, but I don't remember your name."
"Hikari."
At that, she perked up, looking up at him instead of the worksheet. That was a distinctly japanese name. "Uh...Pardon me if this sounds rude, but...are you from japan?"
The japanese macaque nodded, explaining "Yes, though I've been here in the states for the past 10 years."
"Really? Can you...actually, nevermind. We need to get this lab done. Then we can chat."
Again, he nodded, reaching for the small box of slides. By the time they were done with the worksheet, having drawn and labeled pictures of all the slides, they had only a few minutes left before class ended.
"Well, that's done..." Charlotte said with a sigh. She looked the monkey beside her up and down. It was hard to tell with his dense fur, but he definitely wasn't out of shape.
Hikari nodded.
"So, you're from Japan. I assume you're fluent in Japanese?" the teenage doberman asked.
Once again, the japanese macaque nodded, leaning against the lab counter-top.
"Do you...umm..." Charlotte looked around, then continued in a much quieter voice "...do you read manga?"
As the monkey turned to look at her with a raised eyebrow, she blushed and quickly tried to explain, "I'm in japanese class and Tanaka-sensei lets me read manga in class and-"
"Oooh, I see. Yes. I read a little manga and d?jinshi. Mostly sh?nen. Do you need help translating something?"
"No! I...umm...actually...", she looked down, "...yes. I kind of do. But...it...umm...it's not for school."
"Which manga?"
"Well, I...actually I have several..."
Hikari laughed. "So do I. Death note, Bleach, One Piece, Hellsing, Azumanga Daioh..."
"I love Azumanga Daioh! It's so funny! One Piece too...but right now I'm reading Fruits Basket and Yotsuba..."
"Are you reading them in Japanese?" Hikari asked, somewhat shocked. "Fruits Basket isn't exactly easy reading..."
"Well, I'm trying, but you're right, it's challenging...and...um...I bought them in Japanese figuring that I'd be able to learn the japanese quickly enough, but it's not as easy as I thought it would be, and I really like the story..."
"So that's why you'd like help with translation," he said with a smirk.
"Well, yes, but-"
"I'll help, if you want. I'm not doing anything during lunch."
"Oh, thank you! Can I meet you in the commons next to the student affairs office?", she asked, with her tail wagging behind her.
"Sure," he said as the bell rang.
They both turned in their worksheets to the teacher as they went out the door, heading to their next classes. Charlotte darted through the crowded hallways to her next class, arriving with plenty of time to spare.
History was just as boring as she had feared. Since they were nearing the end of the school year, it was focusing on modern history: the formation of the european union. Math was worse; they were spending the week reviewing for the final exam. As she stepped out of the classroom, she caught sight of a dusty tan-colored canid wearing jeans and a black DC hoodie, and sighed. She turned and started quickly walking down the hallway, heading towards her locker to get her lunch. Apparently the culpeo didn't take the hint, doing his best to keep up with her, dodging left and right around other students in the busy hallway.
By the time she'd reached her locker, he had already caught up and leaned up against the locker next to hers as she began spinning the dial to enter the locker code. She ignored him as he started talking.
"Hey, sexy-fine. Ya know, school year's almost up. We should shack up this summer, ya know? Watch some movies, get some burgers, chill over at the mall...Ya know, I heard you like books. There's a book store over at Washington Square with couches and stuff...My bro would totally be down for driving us over there along with his girl. Or we could chill at my place. The 'rents aren't home during the day..."
After hanging her backpack up, she pulled the bento box and a purse out of her locker and shut it, then turned to him. "I already told you, Diego. I have a job."
"Baby, don't be like that;" he said as he followed her towards the commons, "jobs ain't twenty-four-seven. We can meet up on your days off and have some coffee...there's a starbucks just down boones ferry, and we can go for a walk around the pond there...The library is like two blocks away, too. Then we can go back to my place, have a smoke..." he said, starting to smirk, and leaned over to whisper in her ear "...and then we can play bury the bone."
Charlotte was having a hard time keeping her temper at this point; this was the fifth time in the past two weeks that he'd tried to get her to go out with him since that fox-slut Marissa had dumped him. Four times now, she'd tried to brush him off and he just wasn't taking the hint. This time she let him have it with both barrels, turning around just as they reached the commons.
"Diego," she loudly declared," you're an egotistical, ostentatious, womanizing mall-rat who spends more time skating and smoking than studying. Unlike you, I plan on going to college and getting a degree."
By this time, the entire commons had gone quiet, sensing serious drama in the works. It didn't stop her from finishing. "Since you haven't taken the hint yet, I'll spell it out for you: I wouldn't date you if you were the last canine on earth. Now leave me alone."
At this point the entire commons erupted in catcalls, dozens of students yelling out, "Rekt!"
Charlotte turned back around, completely ignoring the snarl that came over his muzzle and the clenching of his fist. "You bitch!"
As she turned around, she caught sight of Hikari, standing on the far side of the commons, and started to raise her hand to wave at him. Then the world went black.
=^.^=
Hikari got out of the shower and stepped into one of the fur drying units. The entire locker room always seemed to smell like wet dog and chlorine; not the most pleasant of smells. He sighed, then stepped out and walked to his locker, not even bothering to grab a towel. It wasn't like anyone could see his junk with his fur as thick as it was. It had been quite a while since he'd shaved it back, though it was getting close to time for it, close as it was to summer.
He walked over to his locker and quickly dialed in the combination, quickly pulled out his underthings, followed by a pair of loose beige capri pants and a plain white t-shirt and matching white vans. It didn't take him long to dress, and it was only a few moments before he was out of the gym and heading through the hallway toward the commons. Moments later he was standing next to the student affairs office. He folded his arms and tucked one leg up, resting it against the wall as he leaned against it and waited for the doberman girl from biology.
It would be nice having someone to talk manga with. His parents thought it was silly, and that he should be spending all his spare time studying. At least they supported him in Karate, his other major hobby. It wasn't like he had much time for anything else, given that he had a job to pay for his other incidentals.
He sighed, wondering if he really should take his sensei up on her offer. She'd mentioned during his last class that she was going to need an assistant instructor, especially once school was out. Balancing two jobs would be tough...
The yelling on the far side of the commons immediately caught Hikari's attention. He was surprised to see it was Charlotte, the girl from his first period class, turning around to face a coyote of some kind wearing jeans and a black hoodie. He didn't hear the first part, but he definitely heard her shoot the poor kid down. He winced, and made a mental note not to ask her out.
She turned around, immediately catching sight of him where he was standing near the office. As she started to raise her hand towards him, the boy behind her cocked his fist and yelled, rushing her from behind. Hikari pushed off the wall behind him, running full out.
The canine behind her decked her with a punch that would have probably laid anyone out, and she was no exception. Charlotte practically flew forward, hitting tiled floor muzzle first and sliding another ten feet across the floor. Cell phones across the commons came up to capture the ensuing chaos. The dog continued walking forward, paying no attention to the monkey running flat out across the commons, stepping up next to the unconscious girl's body and swinging his leg back for a powerful kick.
Hikari leaped into the air almost ten feet away from his target, pulling his left leg under him and throwing his right leg out in a flawless flying sidekick. Both of their kicks landed simultaneously. Hikari's foot went straight into the canine's jaw, snapping the other kid's head sideways and throwing him a good fifteen feet across the commons, where he crashed into a table and the chairs around it, spilling several students to the floor.
Pandemonium enveloped the entire commons area as close to a hundred students yelled, dozens of them standing up to get a better view of the action. The racket brought teachers running from the nearby offices and classrooms.
After landing, Hikari quickly glanced around, spotting Charlotte still laying on the ground. He quickly stepped over to her and knelt next to her, trying to take stock of how badly she was hurt. There was blood pouring from her nose onto the blue and white tiles. He panicked...there was blood all over the floor under her, literally gushing from her nostrils. "Call 911!" he screamed, "she's bleeding bad-"
Something prompted him to look back over his shoulder...what, he could never have said, but it was just in time to see kid in the black hoodie getting to his feet, fangs bared and snarling. He snapped back to his feet, quickly taking a narrow front stance and throwing his guard up.
The other kid charged straight for him, head down in a bull rush. Time slowed to a crawl. With almost mechanical precision, Hikari spun his front foot until his heel was pointed straight at the oncoming canine, and pushed hard with his back leg, throwing a reverse roundhouse kick straight into the other kids head.
Hikari was thrown backwards a few feet, but the other kid crashed to the floor, stopped flat and out cold. As Hikari bounced a bit, regaining his balance, a teacher grabbed him by the back of his shirt and threw him to the ground, collapsing on top of him to keep him from moving.

Terrence set down his sandwich and took a moment to wipe his fingers off before fishing his phone out of his pocket. The number was one he didn't recognize at all. He tapped accept and held the phone to his ear. "Terrence speaking."
A female voice that he didn't recognize came over the other line. "Hi, is this Terrence Stouffer?"
"Yes."
"You're listed as one of the emergency contacts for Charlotte Schneider. We're calling because she's been involved in some kind of altercation, and needs emergency medical treatment. She's currently on her way to the legacy meridian hospital."
"Is she alright?"
"We don't know. She lost an awful lot of blood. You'll need to contact the hospital's emergency number for any additional information. If you have something to write with, I can give you-"
"No, I've got it. I'm on my way. Thank you."
Whatever the lady on the other line was going to say was lost as he immediately cut the call and ran out the door, yelling "Stacy, I'm going to the hospital again! Charlotte's been injured."
A brown-feathered duck stepped out of a nearby office just in time to see him take a sharp turn at the end of the hallway, and yelled back "Okay!". Then a puzzled look came over her face, and she muttered "Who's Charlotte?"
It was another fifteen minutes before the hob pulled into the parking lot near the emergency room and ran in. He stopped at the counter in the front, where a field mouse sat in front of a computer terminal.
"Hi, I'm here for Charlotte Schneider. Is she alright?"
"I'm sorry, sir...could you tell me what species she is?"
"Canine. Doberman Pinscher."
"Oh, yes. She's currently in surgery. In operating room 2."
"In surgery? What...?"
"She's in serious condition. Beyond that, I don't know. What's your relationship?"
"Legal guardian."
"Excellent. Can you please fill out these forms? I'll let the surgeon know that you're here so they can give you updates."
With that, the mouse handed him a clipboard with several papers and a pen, and stood up to walked over to a closed double doors and slipped in. Moments later, the mouse stepped back out and resumed his station.
As he was filling out the forms, a pair of well-dressed canines came in and asked about another patient. He was guessing that they were either coyotes or foxes of some kind, but had no idea. Both were speaking rapid spanish. The mouse behind the desk was clearly out of his depth, but spoke enough to pacify them, whereupon he handed them a clipboard much like the one Terrence was filling out.
After finishing out the forms, Terrence called the school back to try and find out what had happened. From what he gathered, another canine had assaulted her, whereupon a fight broke out between that canine and a monkey, and that they were still investigating the issue. He finally hung up on them in disgust at their lack of information.
It was a long wait after he'd finished filling out his forms before someone came out of the operating room. The raccoon, dressed in remarkably clean scrubs, walked immediately over to him.
"Mr. Stouffer? I'm Dr. Carsten. I understand you're Ms. Schneider's guardian."
"Yes. How is she?"
"She's in fair condition right now. Still unconscious, but I managed to piece together her muzzle and stopped the bleeding. I'm guessing that she took a pretty hard blow to the front of her muzzle, and it broke her nasal bone and front incisors, part of which punctured her nasal cavity and nicked an artery. She'll need an oral surgeon to replace her two upper front incisors after it heals, but other than that, with a little bed rest she'll be fine. Do you happen to know what happened?"
"No. Only that it was the result of an altercation at school."
"Well, since you're her guardian, you can file a police report. I'd recommend it for an injury this serious. The desk here has the local department's number. It's no trouble for us to give you the medical records. In the mean time, we're going to be moving her to into the ICU until she wakes up. After that, if she has no problems, you should be able to take her home."
"Thank you."
With that, the doctor shook Terrence's hand and walked back into the operating room. Terrence turned and walked to the desk, asking the field mouse for the local police department number. First he'd have to call Julia, then the police, then his office, then Charlotte's parents...
=^.^=
Charlotte first became aware of the constant beeping, and then the fact that her head hurt like hell. She moaned, then realized just how dry her throat was.
"Easy, charlotte. Try not to move. You just got out of surgery a little while ago."
That was Mr. Stouffer, she thought to herself. Surgery? She blinked, trying to clear her eyes. It felt like they had sand in them and she tried to raise her hands, only to realize that she couldn't move them, and she was tied down. After continually blinking her eyes for a while, the fuzz started to clear from her head.
"Why....wha....water? Plea...roat...throat. Face hurts."
"Hold on a moment, honey. I've got a water cup with a straw here for you, but you're going to have to drink it through the side of your mouth."
That last voice was most definitely not Mr. Stouffer. She cracked her eyes open and saw a large furry rodent of some kind...gerbil maybe...leaning down over her with a water bottle in hand. She felt the straw poking into the side of her mouth, and spikes of pain radiated from her nose just at the slight movement, and a few tears crept down her face. A stream of blessed cool water trickled down the back of her throat, and she gulped it down. After a few moments, the gerbil-lady took it away.
"You hit the front of your face pretty hard, honey. You're missing a few teeth and have a shattered nasal cavity. You're going to have to be mighty careful with your nose for a few weeks," the nurse said.
"Wha....what happened? My face hurts so bad...", she asked.
"That's what we'd like to know."
She turned her head to look in the other direction. A police officer, a german shepherd, sat on a chair on the other side of her bed with a notebook in hand. He was rapidly writing something on it. She saw him look over her and she turned her head again to see that the nurse had stepped out. Mr. Stouffer was standing next to her, and gently reached out to hold her hand.
"The school called me and said you'd been involved in some kind of altercation, and they sent you here, to the hospital. Do you remember what happened, Charlotte?"
"No...I...wait...yes. I was in biology...lab with Hikari...then history...then Diego was bugging me..."
The police officer continued to scratch away with his pen. After she'd gone quiet for a few moments, he prompted her. "Who are those two? Hika-something and Diego."
"Hikari. He's in my biology class. Was going to meet up with him during lunch."
"What species?"
"Umm...primate. I'm not sure exactly. He's got a pink face and white fur."
"And Diego?"
"Canine. Wolf fox...uhh..culpeo. He's...annoying. Keeps trying to get me to date him even though I've told him no a dozen times."
"Are you dating the other...Hikari?"
"No."
"Friends?"
"Umm...yes. I hope so anyway."
The officer scratched away in his pad, and the ache in her nose continued to grow. She turned back to Mr. Stouffer.
"Could I get some tylenol or something? My nose really, really hurts."
"Sure thing, Charlotte," the handsome ferret replied, "Let me go grab a nurse. I'll be right back."
The officer watched the business-fur leave the room, then turned his attention back to the young girl in the hospital bed. She'd have been beautiful it if weren't for the neck brace and bandages around her muzzle. He continued to take notes and asked for a few more details.
"Do you remember what happened after history? You said Diego was bugging you?"
"Yeah. He showed up at my locker again after class, and I grabbed my lunch and my purse...he was bugging me like usual, and when me made that stupid comment about burying his bone...I turned around and yelled at him. I don't remember what though...or anything else."
"You said he's been trying to date you...Has he made other inappropriate comments like that before?"
"Uh...Yeah. He makes sexual comments like that all the time. He thinks he's hot stuff cause he's got money, but he's just a slacker and skater. I wouldn't be surprised if he spends half his time out of school stoned."
The officer raised an eyebrow at that, then sighed. A lot of the kids in the Tualatin high school area were well off, and weed was surprisingly easy to get a hold of.
"Okay. Well, that's all for now then. I'll be heading over to the school to investigate, then I'll probably need to ask you some more questions. Are you living with Mr. Stouffer?"
"Yes. Housemaid. They're my legal guardians since I'm under eighteen, even though I'm emancipated."
He raised his eyebrows again at that. "You get paid? They treat you okay?"
"Oh yes, I've got enough saved to pay for college, plus I get free room and board, clothes...it's amazing. They're super nice, too. They treat me more like family than anything else."
He relaxed at that. "Good. Well, I've got to go. If you think of anything else, I'm going to give Mr. Stouffer my card. Or you can call the local police station and ask for Officer Hoffman. Get well soon, miss."
"Okay. Thank you."
With that, Charlotte relaxed and closed her eyes, waiting for Terrence to get back with some pain meds. Her nose really, really hurt.
