1. Encounter
Terry never realized death would come for him that day. Oblivious he mopped the floor of corridor 3c. A remote section of the Terran first contact station. Empty in the dusk of night. The only life, flickering lights and dancing pastel shadows.
This was far from what he dreamed when arriving at this foreign place. Hoping to see these new people. At least he managed sometimes, to catch a peek at the alien shuttles. The foreign design a marvel in an otherwise boring routine. Often he gazed out the view ports at the traffic. He was most interested in seeing the alien ships. Hoping he could catch a glimpse of the rare passengers. Culture had always fascinated him. Foreign ones the most of all. More removed from the norm the better. Alien culture was a logical continuation of his interests. He was sure that alien anthropology would become his career of choice. It vexed him somewhat how aloof these creatures were. Despite them being open and friendly to co-existing with humans. They always remained secretive.
The main media usually painted this affair as the most important step in human history. A process that had to be handled with the utmost care. They often painted the Articans as proud and easy to offend. Something that rendered negotiations fragile. And thus all contact with the average person kept to a bare minimum. Whether this was true or not he had no idea. many conspiracy theories flitted about, but Terry never put much trust in such things. Five years almost seemed like yesterday. Many of these tales of wonder and intrigue. Spun from the initial encounter made with the Artican species. People even claimed, it almost came to blows between the two species. Never confirmed or given any credence by the main media. He still remembered the childhood wonderment of the event. How he had dreamed with his young mind of a faraway galaxy where humans made first contact. That was the moment his interest in Alien culture was sparked.
If Terry had been more aware of his surroundings, and less so in dreams of faraway places or events. He might have noticed how he wandered into the wrong corridor. On the work sheet in his data pad. The one he forgot to bring with him. It stated corridor 4b, 4c, and 4d. Nowhere did it say 3c.
Terry turned on his radio and was enjoying the sound of his ear buds. They droned out the patter of footsteps behind him. The hushed voices unheard as a group of people rounded the corner. It was already too late when he saw the figures from the edges of his vision. He turned around, mop in hand and his jaw gaping. The loveliest creature he had ever laid his eyes on stood before him. Blue piercing eyes stared into his. He almost melted into the floor as he gazed back. With her were more figures, both humans and aliens but he hardly noticed. Normally he would have been jumping up and down with excitement. He had been dreaming of seeing the Articans. At the moment he had eyes only for her!
She was a perfectly shaped female by the looks of her. Human proportions, breasts and hips the same as a human woman yet her features were more alien. Her face had a short delicate canine maw yet the eyes and lips were human like in appearance. She was covered head to toe with a short silver coat, the hairs sparkling in the light. Green almost translucent fabric clung to her sculpted body. A wispy bodice of multiple cuts twirled around her. Around the back of her neck rose a tall collar that framed her head, completing the outfit that she was wearing. Behind her a bushy tail moved almost as if a life creature itself, wrapping around her as she came to a halt before him. She seemed equally surprised. The blue eyes regarding him with what for a moment looked like mutual fascination. She lost her composure only for a moment as her attention left him. Turning with unbridled fury to the human woman standing beside her.
"What is the meaning of this! What do you think you are doing here? Who is this male?" She spat with gritted teeth, almost snarling at the cowering woman. The word male spoken through exposed canines.
"I am sorry ambassador I... I don't know." The woman, a short stout older person. According to the uniform she wore, someone of rank.
Terry yelped in surprise as he felt claws at his neck. The alien pushed him up against the wall with super human strength. The Artican woman had him by the throat, his back against the wall and her face inches from his own. Glistening fangs shone ivory in her mouth as she snarled at him her hot breath on his skin. Her aroma flowed over him, a scent of cinnamon and roses. He cried out as he felt sharp claws dig into his skin and hot liquid pouring down his neck. Pain hit him but he sensed she had only pricked the skin.
"Who are you? Why are you..." She trailed off as if something had weakened her senses. Closing her eyes as she collected herself, the grip loosening, yet she still held him firm. "How is this possible?"
Terry at the moment, confused beyond reason. All he could think of was to feebly grab onto her hands, trying to keep those claws of his neck. He could just as well have been trying to move a rock. He held on for dear life and spoke the only words that came to mind
"Uh hello..." He cringed at the tactful choice of words.
She seemed surprised at this answer and for some reason this seemed to calm her somewhat. Another Artican was now by her side, this one was white in color and had the same blue eyes.
"Please Ma'am, lets return to the shuttle?" She pleaded with the one that held him.
They were now surrounded by human soldiers confused about what to do. Supposedly not something that happened before. He surmised as he studied their confused faces.
The Artican pulled her hand from his neck. She gazed at him with a predatory expression as she licked his blood from her claws. Eyes narrowing before she turned and walked down the corridor. The gaggle of people following close behind her.
Terry did not see the angry looks from the others as he watched her leave. For some reason he had this empty feeling in his stomach as he saw her flowing tail disappear around the corner. The feeling, more powerful than even the pain left behind by her claws. He stood there alone for a good while thinking about her. He still had a lump in his throat and a feeling he could not explain away. When he finally went to his chambers after what had become a surprisingly short night shift. He barely noticed his snoring roommate as he crawled into his bed.
As Terry finished his graveyard shift the diplomatic envoy reached the airlock. Where the two Artican women bid their farewells and entered their shuttle. As the door closed behind them the silver colored one growled to the smaller white one.
"How can this be! How! I don't understand, he is male, he is human!" She did not even give time for a reply. "This must be some sort of trick, they made him! Grew him in a cloning chamber!"
Breena Tgon was the most influential diplomat in the sector. She was the leader of the supposed negotiations. Miila Samein her white coated assistant had rarely seen her mentor so furious. The unleashed fury frightened her more than she had expected. She could have sworn the very metal the shuttle was made of creaked with her anger.
"They don't have the knowhow to do such a thing, not yet at least. They don't have the technology. Besides there is no chance they have that information!"
She tried comforting the higher ranking woman.
The silver Artican shook in anger and confusion. She eyed her smaller counterpart and extended a single finger towards her. The sharp claw still covered in Terry's blood.
“When we return to our ship I want you to take this blood to the life giver. Have it tested. I must know!"
Her lips contorted in anger. Confusion behind the façade of rage.
She finally pulled herself together with a deep sigh as she sat down in the passenger chair. Gazing out the window with wishful eyes. "I can already feel it. Tomorrow I need you to setup a meeting with this boy!"
“What if the test proves inconclusive Ma'am?" Her subordinate asked.
Breena smiled this time, her anger subsided.
“I don't care. This creature makes me… Curious."
Back at the C.S Terra Station Terry woke up after a night of strange dreams. He dreamed about her. This lump in his throat was still there and he had this feeling he could not explain. Was he sweet for her? He knew nothing about her, had only seen her for a mere fleeting moment. He did not seem to have made a good impression on the Artican. Was he still young enough for childish puppy love? Was he feeling sad over the fact that he offended her? so much for his budding anthropology career! What he was feeling it did not seem natural, he only saw her for a few seconds, she attacked him! Why he was not sure. He wondered if he startled her, not expecting to see some strange human where he was not supposed to be.
After checking his work schedule from the night before. He realized he was not supposed to be working in that particular section of the station. Strange, usually they closed of areas where the aliens traveled. Where they had diplomatic meetings. This was something people often scolded him for, his family, friends and people he worked with. The fact that he was absent minded, a dreamer if you must. So it would not surprise him if this was something that came back to bite him later on. Oh but who cares he thought to himself, he had the next two days off so at least he would not hear about this until later!
Terry was now alone in his room, his snoring roommate nowhere to be seen. People tended to work on opposing shifts when sharing chambers like this.
He grimaced as he saw the blinking notify on his personal tablet, the telltale signs of a message. He opened it and was not surprised at all when he saw what it was about. It was his superiors address, telling him to come see him when he got up.
After a quick shower he hurried over to the office where he would undoubtedly be told off. Something he did not look forward to. The way there was not long, Terry sighed and opened the door.
Inside a middle aged man was working on a terminal, a stack of papers in front of him. Surrounded by all kinds of cleaning and maintenance materials. The stock room was so filled to the brim, some of the excess wound up in his office as well. This section of the operation wasn't exactly well funded when compared to others.
His supervisor seemed to have lived through some hard labor in his life. A muscular man. Yet one with a layer of fat over all the hardness. Had been confined to an office for some time now. He usually was the friendly type and Terry had always liked him.
The older man noticed Terry and smiled.
"Well what have ya gone and done this time ah Terry?" The question did seem genuine although the teasing tone was unmistakable.
"Ah man I don't know. I met one of the aliens last night and well it was strange. Don't know how to explain it." His boss waved his hand at him.
"Well never mind, the brass at top have taken an interest in this. One of the diplomatic staffers wants to talk with you! So get yourself over there. I told them I would send you over right away. Oh and ask for a Sara!"
Terry nodded and did as asked, leaving the way he came in and closed the door behind him. Hurrying over to the fancier sections of the station.
He found himself in the waiting area of the Terran joint Office of relations. The place reminiscent of a dentists waiting area. He was asked to have a seat and wait. After awhile, a woman in her sixties who he assumed was Sara ushered him into a small corner office.
Sara was the classic aunt like person anyone would know. She was a slightly overweight woman with friendly eyes and a smile at the ready. She regarded Terry with amusement and said.
“I don't know exactly what is going on here Terry but you have caused quite a stir!"
Terry looked at her sheepishly.
She continued.
“Now keep in mind Terry that everything we speak of here today is classified. We might be civilians but this whole thing falls under the Terran Navy jurisdiction. You don't realize the strings I have had to pull just to keep them out of this. So you better return my efforts and not speak about any of this, ever!"
Terry seemed to grasp the reality of the situation but he couldn't contain himself hehad to ask.
“What happened yesterday? I don't understand, why was she so mad at me?"
She sighed but gave him a reassuring smile.
“You have, like everyone! Heard about the Articans and you also might have caught on to the fact that they are well jumpy. Bad tempered you might say!"
She lit herself a cigarette and stared at the glowing ember before taking a long drag.
“Well the stories are true, in a way. The fact is they don't even tell a small part of the story. Anyway the only reason you are hearing any of this is due to the fact that this Artican seems to be. Lacking a better word, quite enamored with you!"
He gasped in surprise not believing his own ears but her demeanor gave him no doubt.
“But she hates me! She attacked me for no reason."
Terry gaped at her.
She laughed and replied.
“We don't know that much about the Articans Terry. As you might have noticed information about them is quite limited and there is a reason for that. The fact is quite simply, we don't know that much about them!"
She blew smoke away from the two of them.
“What we do know is they are animalistic and primitive when it comes to social conventions. Which is very contradictory when we examine the fact that technologically they are way ahead of us. We now know that when humans were evolving they already were spacefaring! So when she attacked you Terry she might have seen you as a threat to her territory or something like that. I am sorry I cannot really explain it any better than you."
Sara looked out a viewport as she nuzzled her cigarette, she sighed and turned back towards him.
“She wants to meet you Terry!"
He wanted to run right there and then and hide underneath his covers.
“She wants to meet me? But…"
He shouldn't have been so surprised, considering she told him how the alien was interested in him. Why he could not begin to guess at. He didn't understand. He was a mere maintenance worker. A glorified cleaner!
“Now look here Terry. You are very young and I understand that you are scared. The fact is however. You must go! The Articans are easy to offend and if you were to refuse I can't even begin to imagine the consequences!"
He gulped as he listened to her.
“That woman you met Terry, is Breena T'gon."
She seemed to consider her next words carefully.
“She is the diplomatic Regent. The highest ranking Artican in this sector. If we offend her Terry, I don't know what might happen!"
Terry wanted to disappear right into the floor. He felt the anxiety gnaw at his stomach.
“Why does she want to see me. I'm…" He trailed off, fiddling with his fingers and swallowing the lump in his throat. “I'm just a cleaner Sara. I haven't even had my career setting"
Every Terran at a certain point in their lives embarked into the career setting. Where a future was set for them and established. Terry hadn't even done that and now the most powerful Artican politician wanted to speak with him. What would he even say?
“This is very serious Terry. In the five years we have had contact with the aliens this has never happened before. We have never had a single case of an Artican requesting, or wanting. To speak with anyone outside of diplomatic staff."
She smiled when she saw the anxiety in him.
“Don't worry though. I will cover everything you need to know and help you get through this. She wants to meet you in approximately two hours so we have plenty of time to get ready!"
Terry exhaled and almost forgot to inhale again when he heard her say that.
“Two hours!" He panicked.
Sara laughed at his desperation and smiled at him.
“Now, now, that's plenty of time! Don't worry."
He learned more about the aliens from her in the short time they had then he ever had before. She put all her emphasis on the fact that he had to be respectful. Respect before everything. She even likened the treatment he had to show her to old fashioned royalty of ancient earth. They did not speak for long as the intercom wailed at them.
“Sara." A voice spoke.
“The Artican woman is here. Asking for the meeting to be conducted."
Sara looked surprised.
“Already. They are not supposed to be here for almost two hours. Never mind we will be there shortly." She answered.
Terry was flustered at this turn of events. Even more so when he found himself following the older lady down a series of hallways a short time later.
She talked quickly as they walked. The older woman told him all she could muster, in the short time they had, as they hurried towards the meeting area. When they finally arrived she explained to him how she could not join him. Much to his surprise the artican had insisted for him alone.
They finally approached a door where two servicemen were posted on either side. It was all together very informal, but judging by the lack of people all around, they had closed of the area.
They entered together and came into a short corridor and in front of them was yet another door. He knew instantly the alien would be there, waiting.
Sara took a short while to pep him up, and supply him with the last bits of information she felt he needed.
Then all of a sudden, she also was gone and he stood there all by himself. All he could do for the next few seconds was just stand there and stare at that horrible portal, or wonderful. He could not decide which it was. Whatever it would be, he just knew that it terrified him!
He got his courage up and placed his hand on the handle. The metal was warm; it had been used recently. He swallowed, as he thought about who that had been. He realized after a while. He had been standing there holding onto the knob and staring at it like a complete idiot. Sooner or later he would have to find the courage to actually enter the room.
The lump in his throat got even bigger as he finally turned the handle and opened the door. He was on his own now, Sara would not come with him. He entered the small meeting room and his breath almost caught in his throat.
There she was sitting in a comfortable looking chair and she was even more lovely than he remembered. This felt strange. The Artican was a different species, and yet he was surely drawn to her. He did hear of other people who found them attractive so at least he was not alone in this.
She was wearing a different outfit this time. The blue dress was close fitting with gold cast buttons that followed every contour of her form. The collar was the same height as before, making the clothing look old fashioned and regal.
Ears tipped in black hairs, curved inwards and towards each other. Reminded him of an earth cat called a caracal. Reminiscent of a feline or a canine. The delicate maw of a grey vixen and the claws and ears of a cat. Her features somehow where very human despite of this, her expressions especially so. Alien, exotic and alluring as before. The angel he thought only possible in his wildest imaginations. And she wanted to meet him! If there ever was pressure he felt it then.
The smaller white Artican from before was by her side, standing next to her taller superior.
This time not two of them but three.
On the other side of her was a black Artican with green eyes that bore into him as he closed the door behind him. She and her white counterpart wore dark leather outfits. Both seemed tight and revealing on their bodies. As their Mistress they were beautiful.
Between him and the three females there was a second chair. The room, sparsely furnished, held a table that was now pushed against the wall.
He smiled as wide as he could muster, conscious this time of making a good impression.
He sat down on the chair, but was greeted by horrified expressions from the two ladies. Both gasped at some horrible slight, the one in the middle grinned.
The new female he had never met before proved herself with a temper. She strode over and none to gently pulled him by his collar to his feet. He felt no claws this time but got similar gritted teeth as she growled at him.
"You stand before a high ranking female human and no one has bid you to relax!" He panicked at this, overwrought with offending them yet again.
"Please forgive me I never meant any offense!" He leaned to the side and almost fell over as she let him go. She resumed her place, content with his apology. He looked over at all three of them his smile gone.
He gave a clumsy bow as he turned his attention to the one sitting in the middle.
"Please Councilor forgive me I don't know your ways but I do want to learn, I mean no offense!"
She surprised him. Instead of scolding him or getting angry again she started laughing. The sound of it was music in his ears. Her joyful sounds where delightful and sincere and he could not help but smile himself. Though he did not dare laugh.
"He is so cute! Why did I not see this before girls?" She grinned at him with canines exposed.
For a second her face flashed the hunger of a predatory feline, it unnerved him a little. The terrible promise in those eyes. The comment also left him a little unsure of what to say, it took all he had to keep from blushing. He felt like she was playing with him. He felt out of place and outmatched. She turned that blue gaze on him again.
"That's a good boy. Now please do have a seat." She talked to him as one would a dog or a pet.
"Thank you." He replied as he sat down in the chair.
"Now what is your name human?" She purred.
"My name is Terry ah..." He hesitated not sure how to address her.
"My name is Breena Tgon little one, you may address me as ma'am." She carried herself like royalty. The little he had seen of her so far put her as quite regal and proper or at least that was the closest thing he could think of. There obviously were some cultural differences.
She continued. "These two are my friends and good servants." She looked to the white Artican standing on her right. "This is Miila Samein. She is my apprentice."
Miila gave him a warm smile. "Greetings Terry."
He smiled and returned her greeting. "Hello Miila it's so nice to meet you."
The black woman raised an eyebrow at him, not angry as before but her words came with steel behind them.
"We are all Ma'am to you, boy!" She growled at him.
Breena raised her hand dismissively. "He will learn. In the meantime, this is Neela. She is my protector and as you might have noticed she does take her job seriously."
He found himself intimidated by this fierce woman but he mustered all the courage he had to address her.
"I am so sorry Ma'am. I want to learn your ways and your teaching means a lot to me!"
She bristled at his words, quite pleased.
Breena Laughed again and leaned back in her chair. "My, he is so polite; you don't see that often in human males!"
Her expression turned more thoughtful as she added. "This almost makes more sense now…" It sounded as if she was speaking to herself, the last line softer than the ones before.
He didn't give the comment much thought at the time, as a question jumped to his lips.
"Ma'am there was one question I had been dying to ask you if I might be so bold?" He asked and as she nodded he continued. "Yesterday when we met…"
He phrased the question carefully. "Why did you get so angry at me. Respectfully I mean off course. I just want to know what I did wrong." He carefully picked every word.
She showed no signs of fury this time, her face as ever aloof and her eyes playful.
"Oh do not worry about it Terry, it was nothing that you did. It was more so the people above you that tested my patience, their mistake, not yours." Her answer did not leave him satisfied. She left something out but he dared not push the subject.
She moved the topic along and was asking him all sorts of things. She asked him the ordinary questions one might expect, like where was he from and what did he do and so on. He did his best to answer and offered his own questions. She was some sort of aristocrat in their society. She also touched on the fact that her job here was not her real one. She evaded the subject if he asked further. Or gave explanations that were altogether very vague.
Their conversations turned more personal as she grinned at him and asked. "So have you ever been with a woman boy?" She seemed to relish calling him a boy. Playing with the word as she watched his reaction intently.
The way she spoke to him in such a condescending manner baffled him. It did not frustrate him yet and anger was not something he felt, it was merely, curious. Yet another thing explained away in the difference of culture and society. It did little to help his confidence, something that never came easy before. He always was nervous around women, inexperienced in his youth. The average human woman, even remotely attractive seemed like the most frightful creature. This Artican before him. With the canine exposed grin. Narrowed eyes lifted by smiling cheeks was utterly terrifying. His words caught in his throat. Entangled somewhere with the large lump already forming. Horrified when he felt the blush erupting on his face.
She grinned even wider at his reaction and got to her feet, it was almost as if his blush attracted her like a cat to a mouse. She moved towards him, moved in for the kill and made a sweeping gesture with her hand. This was a signal towards Neela for she moved towards the door behind him. Breena approaching him like a predator moving in on its prey.
He had no idea how to react as she swung her leg over him and sat full on his lap. Her hands behind his neck and fingers holding onto him.
Her face was now inches from his own yet again. Her hot breath hit his face and this time he almost sighed at how pleasant it felt. There was no anger in her eyes but there was something as powerful there. This deep hunger and longing, something he felt himself desperate to return. Overwhelmed by her presence and her musk filled his nostrils.
Neela was not pleased and made her displeasure known.
"Ma'am is this what you want? This thing?" She turned up her nose.
Did she call him a thing? Thinking about voicing his displeasure when the creature sitting on him snarled yet again. this time her fury was directed at Neela.
"I have made up my mind. I will have him!" She spat at the other woman.
Neela turned away displeased but thoroughly cowed. "As you wish Ma'am."
Terry looked on in disbelieve as he felt fingers on his chin. Claws pressing against his skin as she held his face and turned his head back towards her. Voice was firm almost motherly.
"This is something I will teach you. Everyone, obeys, me!" She purred.
Feeling himself frozen, his eyes caught in hers. Blue eyes enchanted him and he found it impossible to turn away even if he wanted to. It was a strange comment she had made but it never even occurred to him. This was the moment where he realized the pressure on his lap. How her entire weight pressed down on the growing hardness of his member. Her every weight shift and movement making it worse. He worried that she might feel it.
Her breath was faster now and he could feel her excitement. He blushed even harder at the realization as she leaned in closer. Her voice whispered in his ear, confirming his worst fears.
"I know what you want boy. I can feel it!" She moved with purpose. Grinding down into his groin, her soft behind pressing against him, purring into his ear. "Come see me tonight pet. Who knows. I might give it to you!"
He almost could have climaxed at her words alone. Then she was gone. He sat there, breathing heavy, as the three women left the room, Breena turned back as she was leaving. "Remember boy, tonight!" And with that she was gone.
