Cat's Café: Night Shift
A new series that may never be continued, cuz...I do that a lot...Maybe if I laser focus my mind I can get to work...oh hey I have another idea for a pretty cool series and another for a pretty good one shot, oh hey a nickel.
Lenny had little to his name, he had very little money and even less reputation. He was going nowhere in his hometown, in life, in anything at all and so he moved to the big city, hoping that he could make it big as a musician; or at the very least get a proper paying job. In his old town he had done a couple of gigs at local cafes and what not, but never anything too large. Certainly nothing to earn him a name, even in a small town. With help from his family he had managed to stay financially afloat, but he really didn't enjoy being under his family's thumb constantly, even if they never held the money he owed them over his head. He needed to land it big, or at the very least find himself a stable job, so far in the big city he had done neither. Getting famous was going to have to be put on hold, finding any job that would pay even somewhat decently was going to be the most important thing, and perhaps today he had found the opportunity for just that.
Walking down the street he felt his stomach nearly do a flip when suddenly his nose caught wind of something entirely different. The city was full of smells both foul and strange, bitter and sweet in the weirdest of ways, and suddenly he swore he smelled home. Fresh bread and coffee hit his stomach like a truck and when he turned to scan the area, he found his eyes locking at a corner store with a sign over the door that read in fancy script, "The Cat's Cafe." The sight had him grabbing at his stomach with one hand and for his wallet with the other. He should have enough for a sandwich and a cup of coffee, should; either way he was hungry and needed the meal. Lenny's morale would certainly improve from something warm in his stomach. Wallet back in his pocket, he rubbed his hands together and made his approach.
His eyes were wide and beaming as he approached the front door. The glass display up front had a large, "Clarinetist Wanted" sign. He could play the clarinet, he could play any god damn instrument if it meant not having to work a paper pushing job. It was a small place, how much could it pay? Shaking himself off he found that his body was shivering more from the excitement than the cold. Deciding that anything was better than nothing he entered the cafe, eye searching for someone to talk to about the sign as small bells rang out ever so gently from the door opening and closing. At the front counter he could see a gruff looking man wiping down the counter top before setting down a cup of coffee and a neat little sandwich on a saucer upon the counter. Before Lenny could say a word the gruff man called him over, "Hey, you're clogging up the door. Get over here and collect your order...and if you got any business I can call the manager...oh and don't worry bout payment."
Lenny raised his brow as the man stepped through a door near the back. It had him stumped and confused, but the call of food had his mind in another dimension. Collecting his destined order he sat down at one of the many table's in the cafe, noting that no one was there even though the man had told him to hurry on in. He didn't understand why such a small place would need someone to play the clarinet, still, questions could come later.
For what it was worth the food and coffee filled him like no other. It could've been the worst tasting food in the world, but it made him feel whole again. The warmth in his stomach sent a happy chill up his spine and put a smile on his face. Getting up he looked around. He couldn't find a single other person, and for the first time he registered that he was really alone in the place. The man had said he was going to get his manager, and yet here he was, alone. Getting up he felt bad that the man had given him such good service without expecting pay. Lenny was poor, not a jackass. Checking out a menu up front he paid for the sandwich and coffee, leaving the money on the counter along with what he could manage as a tip. With a sigh he rubbed at the back of his head, he really couldn't wait forever, but as he turned he heard the gruff man bark, "Hey! Get the garbage off the counter. Your money's no good here."
Lenny nearly jumped out of his skin hearing that, "Holy-!" now he was turned around to see that the large gruff man was standing next to a shorter female who was smiling as wide as she could, brown eyes narrowed, staring directly at him, "I uh...just figured it was--." The female put a hand up and he found himself pausing even though he had more to say.
The female who seemed to be in charge next to the gruff man that had fed him stepped around the counter and crossed her arms, "So, you're here for the job huh? Got yourself a clarinet?" Lenny only nodded and she continued, "Good, can you play in a swing and jazz trio or quartet?" again Lenny nodded. This time the female grinned as she spoke, "and are you a coward?"
Lenny raised a brow and rubbed at the back of his head, smoothing back black hair tied in a ponytail unsure of what to say to that really, "Well...I guess not..."
Up and down the lady appraised him until finally she gave him a playful punch on the shoulder that had him wondering if his bones were in the right place, but she was grinning, "Congratulations kid, you're in...just remember, once you step behind the member's door you can't leave. Shit's scary back there in the club for a little lost lamb like yourself."
Lenny rubbed his shoulder as he spoke, "Heh...I'm uh, sure I can handle it, whatever you mean. Really I'm just glad for the job. When can I start boss?"
The lady grabbed his chin and tugged so their eyes were meeting, "Cay. Cay is the name and you can start tomorrow, but I really mean it kid. The lounge is a scary place. Think it over, and stop by tonight with your stuff if you think you can actually perform with some strange clientele. Fair warning and all."
Once Cay let him go he was left truly wondering if he had made the right decision, but, they had fed him. Not only had they fed him, but they gave him the job outright and if he was brave enough he'd have a job he could stomach, "Right....I'll be here tonight. Count on it." with that simple statement said he turned around to head out. Determination on his face.
Cay ran a hand through her auburn hair and smiled just a bit, "Think he really has the balls to see them for the first time Pete?"
The gruff man took the dishes left behind by their new employee with eyes closed, calmly and carefully returning to the back to begin cleaning while speaking, "I'm never wrong. Predictions one hundred percent accurate when they come Cay...you know that."
Cay smiled just a bit, "I sure hope so...I'd like to play a game of cat and mouse with this one..." her smile turned upside down when she realized, "Ah shit...we didn't tell him what time, guess that means I'll be stopping by early to make sure he doesn't freeze to death at night, if he comes at all."
Night time in the city was always something daunting for Lenny to handle. The street lights only illuminated so much, and the occasional sound of a gunshot made him feel very nervous. He wasn't sure when he was supposed to arrive, so as soon as the sun was out he had decided it was time to head back to the Cat's Cafe. When he arrived the Cafe's lights were out and there was no one inside, or at least that was how it looked. Leaning up and looking around from what he could see on the inside of the café, it looked empty. Perhaps they were closed for the night, maybe something had come up, or maybe it was a test of sorts. He could try the door himself, see if he could get inside, or he could just walk away. Was the job really worth how shady it was? What if he'd soon be hearing gunshots inside of the cafe? Still, it was his only option. Taking a breath he gripped on to the handle and tried the door, fingers tightening on the case holding his clarinet.
A few clicks and he realized that the door was locked, "Can't believe you actually showed up." said a familiar voice from behind. Yet again he found his heart nearly shooting from his chest as he turned around with a start, "Ho- when did you get behind me?"
Cay laughed as she produced a key from her purse, unlocking the door and popping it open before replying, "Not my fault you're deaf...now come on, you can help me set up for the night since you're the first one here."
She entered the cafe and he could only stare. Lenny only moved once the door started closing. Inside he removed his coat looking around as the lights flickered on. It was so strange to be in the cafe when everything was so quiet, and the sun was down. He was about to ask what he could help with before suddenly he noticed that she was already gone. The only sign of her was the door leading to the lounge shutting soundlessly. His throat became dry. This was the test, this was the moment of truth. She was probably expecting for him to cut and leave. Taking a breath he made his way to the door, pushing it open and poking his head in, expecting something entirely different.
What he saw was a comfort and something magical. A dimly lit lounge with red velvet seats and candle lit tables. All of those were facing a stage with red curtains, a stage that was far more worthy of full scale play than just a small band. Closing the door quietly behind him he took his first steps in, all headed towards the stage. His eyes were lit, his hands were shaking, that huge stage was something that he had dreamed of, even if no one knew his name, he would have loved to someday play on a stage like this, and his dream was right here. Before long he was right there before the stage, setting his case on it before hefting himself up on to it. Once he was fully up he looked around before suddenly hearing a slow clapping coming from the tables. Turning he could see his boss cross legged at one of the tables, a small smirk on her face, was she expecting a performance? Or maybe she was congratulating him. All the same he felt the urge to do it, to play his heart out and perform. Bowing and taking his clarinet out, he prepared to play.
Cay leaned in, eyes staring deep, ears taking in that sweet tune. It was a gentle song that carried her back home. A lovely little blues tune that she could appreciate. Her new mouse had enough talent that she didn't have to be afraid about him flubbing up on stage, now all she needed to know was if he could handle playing with a band, and if he could handle the sights. Perhaps she could break him in first before anyone else arrived. Standing from her seat she began approaching the stage.
Lenny was taking the stick off his lips when he noticed Cay approaching. Step by step she made her way until he noticed that something about her was strange. Eyes wide he couldn't stop staring at what he was witnessing. Her pale skin gave way to dark auburn fur, dress falling as she seemed to grow just a bit shorter, just a bit rounder. His boss, Cay, a feline creature hopped on to the stage without the use of her hands and with a small smile she purred the words, "Scared little mouse?"
Lenny's eyes were still wide, his mouth most likely open, "That's...that's fuckin awesome! Are you some sort of spiritual creature? Like a uh...fallen angel or something, or maybe a ghost cat?"
Cay's smile turned to a frown as she heard his tone, with a huff her tail flicked and she stepped around him, "Didn't expect that one, but no. I'm not anything what you said. I'm a demon, simple as that, and we have plenty more clientele comin over who are like me, and some scarier."
Lenny snorted, "Scary...you're like...a human house cat, that's awesome."
Cay turned her head to stare at him, his mouth shutting immediately, "Well...either way this takes one of my worries straight out the window, but at the same time, makes this ten times more boring...you're not even scared just a tiny bit?"
Lenny shook his head, "Shocked yeah, but not scared...I think it might be because I got to perform...nothin takes away my troubles like making music, especially in front of even one person. Plus, you look...well you look pretty damn good"
Cay's smile returned and she gave his arm a soft squeeze, "Good...you'll love the boy's then. They're a bit doggish, literally, but they love performing and hey, if you're that into this form then I'm single and waiting."
Lenny cleared his throat, cheeks flushing, "Uh, you're my boss and all. Be weird to hit on the boss lady, and not even one night finished."
Cay giggled. She gave his arm another squeeze, her tail curling around his leg, "Listen guy, I don't really care about employee or not, even if it’s just a fling I like the attention, so feel free, don't be shy...or be shy, I like it when men can't handle themselves around me. Mice are adorable."
Lenny chuckled, cheeks still red, "I'm no mouse, no way, but uh, I'm not sure about taking that dive just yet."
Cay purred as she leaned to grip at his shirt, "That just means you need a little convincing."
Lenny's eyes widened. He had just gotten a job and now he was being approached by his weird demon boss. It was either some crazy dream gone nightmarishly interesting, or he really was in some sort of fantasy world full of demons. Still, he didn't know how to react, what to do, he had always been bad with women, bad with situations, but that fact only seemed to entertain Cay, good for him, though it would mean she would endlessly tease him when she had the chance.
Eyes locked on her's, their position didn't change, as he began to ask her for some space her lips met his, but just a peck. A light brush of the lips, just long enough for him to feel the heat behind them, and brief enough for him to want more. Their eyes were still locked, his hands were still at his sides, for a moment he swore he saw something like fear flash before her eyes, perhaps she wasn't as confident as she seemed. Before any word was spoken, his hands moved to clutch at hers. They felt warm, the fur so soft against his skin. A small smile on her lips turned as he leaned in to return the kiss, just brief, or so he planned. Her hand moved behind his head, clutching at his hair and holding him in place while her lips caressed his. She was on her tip toes leaning up to him, tugging his head down just a bit to meet halfway, their lips locked so passionately now. For a while they stayed there, lips locked, mouths opening to let their tongues brush against one another, before finally they parted, a line of spittle marking their connection.
Lenny's face was entirely red now his body frozen in place. He was shocked from this state when Cay's finger hooked on to his shirt, tugging him closer, "C'mon! Don't get cold feet now! Feel me up mouse, we've already come so far for you to just freeze up like that and leave me hangin."
Slowly, nervously, his shaking hands moved to touch at her sides. He'd been with women before for sure, but he'd never quite had an experience like this, certainly not with a woman who was this confident, or pushy. Hands on her sides he felt over her curve, her form. At her hips he moved his hand around to feel her rear, fingers brushing through the fur and against the base of her tail. The purring that had been a constant since their connection began growing louder, her own hands moving to feel between his legs, her soft hands finding his bulge there.
Still purring Cay wasted little time in unzipping his jeans, fishing around his boxers to yank his cock free. She cooed, loving the fact that it was the perfect size for her, nice and thick as well. Cay loved the fact that he seemed so abash by just a little open air skinship, even though they were perfectly alone, no one there to interrupt their fun or see them. Licking her lips she began stroking him while leaning in, pushing that thing against her body as she tugged him.
Lenny could hardly believe she had done such a thing, sure they were alone but someone could come along at any second, not only that but she had done so without even asking him, without even giving him any bit of warning. Her hands though, made it so difficult for him to voice his complaints, so very difficult. When the words finally managed to near his lips again he was silenced by pleasure, this time she was on her knees without a word, her mouth suckling upon the tip of his cock, delicate tongue working around the head again and again. Looking down he saw her big brown eyes staring into his own. He couldn't argue with that face, couldn't argue with her personality, and so he simply indulged. A hand moved to rub behind her ears, gripping on to her head gently to urge her to suck down more of his cock.
Cay complied for now, allowing her head to be moved to his will, somewhat glad that her human mouse was finally getting into things. Purring around his cock she brushed her tongue against the underside of his cock, moving it around, relishing in the way he moaned and shivered whenever her tongue moved a certain way he seemed to enjoy. At the same time one of her hands worked to grip and feel over his balls, touching, groping and working them to her will. Already she could feel the signs, his fingers gripping through her fur, his legs shaking just a bit, his thick member throbbing against her tongue and heating up. Closing her eyes she pulled his cock away and opened her mouth wide stroking it until she felt warm sticky cum against her tongue accompanied by his breathless words, "Fuck!"
Lenny panted, breathing out, cock half erect as he stared down at Cay whose tongue was presenting his load proudly before she pulled it into her mouth, swallowing with a delicate gulp. The simple sight made his cock twitch and slowly rise back to full erection, he wasn't sure if he had the energy to keep up though. Before protest could be made however he was pushed on to his rear and then his back, that feline demon over his body, her warm kissing the shaft of his cock as she pinned him down like some sort of prey, "I'm glad you're still ready for more...I'd be so disappointed if you weren't...and don't worry...we have time for just one more little game maybe."
Lenny had no chance to say no, no chance to argue, and at this point he really didn't care. He was having the time of his life, but at the same time he was physically exhausted. With very little choice in the matter he suddenly felt his cock slip through her cunt, pushing between her folds and into her hole. Hearing her moan brought a certain chill down his spine, his cock twitching and throbbing against the tight walls of her pussy. Not missing a beat, Cay began riding his cock. She rolled her hips and pushed down, shoving the majority of his cock inside of her wet pussy before suddenly bringing her hips up. Again and again she pushed down against him, letting out cute mewls and moans out as she gripped at his chest, her claws leaving their marks in his clothing. At this point Lenny was getting his second wind, his hands moving to feel over her rear as he began to move his own hips, pushing and shoving inside of her meeting her hips thrust for thrust.
Lenny let out a low hiss of air as she began biting on his neck. He felt fangs dig in and the warm trickle of blood, her claws still embedded in his clothes as she rode his thick member. Cay was groaning against his neck, letting her wildest side out as she bounced upon his lap, rolling her hips again and again to hopefully milk that cock. She loved going wild, going so quickly because she loved it that way, and at the same time she needed to make it quick, but damn if it didn't feel good. She would make better use of him later. For now she just enjoyed what she could, moving her hips, letting out her sweet noises as she rode his thick cock. Again she felt those signs, his cock twitching inside of her, his hands gripping her body ever so tightly, and his thrusts growing more desperate. With one last push she felt her insides become flooded with that warm seed, her own pussy tightening and quivering as she felt her own orgasm mount. Squealing she again bit on to his neck just as hard as before. Closing her eyes, panting against her neck she pulled her mouth away slowly, licking stray blood from her lips, "Ah...hope I'll see you after the show...and uh, clean up before our guests arrive." Lenny was lying on his back now looking up at the stage lights. He was panting and his only response to her words was a weak thumbs up.
As Cay walked away she smoothed back her ears, hand stretching out to retrieve a cigarette from thin air. Placing it to her lips she closed her eyes as a little fire magic lit the tip. Puffing out she grinned. All that danger involved in just a little sex was too much fun. The fact that they could have been caught was weighing heavy on her, but moreover, the fact that she could get knocked up was a risk that was rocking her world. Still, she had to be careful in the future and make sure the mouse was carrying rubber, either way she had herself a good toy, and possibly a good boyfriend if he kept giving her reason to fall for him.
When the guests arrived, Lenny was on stage with his band members. It was a weird meeting between the three. The other two members of his little trio that he was a part of were both werewolves, both of them sporting suits and loose ties. They grinned and snickered as they met him, smelling and seeing what had happened. Lenny was also a bit more frightened of them, considering that they were nearly double his size, but once they started talking about music everything felt comfortable, so now he was in front of a crowd of odd demons, some cute, some fucking frightening, and others seemingly normal. Everything melted away when he was playing though. Among the wolves he played his part in their little ensemble, playing his heart out and ignoring the weird looks and snickers at his marked neck and scratched clothing. At the same time he could occasionally spot Cay in the crowd, smile on her lips, hands clasped together as she watched him. He just hoped he could survive Cay and her advances, and hopefully he wouldn't meet any demons more pushy than her. Either way he was happy, for once he was happy and he didn't even care if the pay was shit; he was just getting started.
