Seeds of Divinity, Ch 5
Hello, all, and welcome back to a story I have been working on for one of my newest high tier patrons from Patreon! This story is an example of what I offer to the high level contributors on my Patreon page, found here: https://www.patreon.com/comidacomida
Seeds of Divinity is a story that takes place in a low-tech, high adventure world with some amounts of fantasy. It focuses on a young man by the name of Raedryn Wescott, the elder of two children from a very influential, very well-off merchant family. Unlike the rest of his household, Ray is not really 'into' business and prefers more scholastic studies. Although he was interested in finding out why he came into a possession of a strange amulet, he is hardly ready for what answers await him.

Please be advised that this story will contain a lot of adult m/m and m/m/m content in upcoming chapters involving a human and furries.
Chapter 5 continues where Ch 4 left off with Bird revealing quite a bit, leaving Raedryn a little overwhelmed... but not TOO overwhelmed. Now we'll have to find out if Bird and Herald can get along.

After encouraging his father's spymaster to continue Raedryn's first thought was to get back to his bedroom with Bird in tow. That didn't happen when the young man was easily overpowered by the Sunfeli's eagerness and he was practically swept off his feet by the insistent paws. Gasping, the Human was pushed off-balance by a seamlessly executed pull at the back of his knee by a well-placed leg and he would have fallen backwards if not for Bird's grip. As it was, Raedryn was lowered to the square of carpet laying upon the tiled floor; a moment later and the Sunfeli was atop him, muzzle seeking out his lips anew and the young man met it in kind.
Bird's paws traveled all over his body, ultimately gripping hold of the fine dress belt he wore around his waist; Ray had no idea how the cat had the buckle undone in the half-second it took which seemed doubly impossible since their bodies were squeezed so close together and the Sunfeli hadn't bothered so much as slowing down the way he firmly ground their groins together through the cloth that separated them. The spymaster gripped him by the shoulders, muzzle never leaving the Human's lips as Raedryn's world spun around. The two ended up rolling until the young man lay atop the cat and, as the roll continued, Bird ended on top yet again... but something was different: Ray's pants had been pulled down and were caught up, hanging off of his ankles.
The spymaster broke the kiss for just a moment, murmuring reassurances, and the promise that he would stop if Raedryn told him to. The statement came out almost as a plea, as if the Cat were begging the Human to ask him to stop, like he needed Ray to prohibit such a thing-- to be the self control that Bird lacked on his own. Overwhelmed by the proof of the spymaster's earlier unbelievable words and finally realizing that he may have had his own little crush on the Sunfeli, Raedryn had no intention to do so. The whispers lasted no more than a handful of seconds-- just long enough for Bird to use the bare claws on his hind feet to rake the Human's pants free of his body, leaving the young man's lower body completely uncovered.
The Cat finally drew back, his eyes taking in the sights with a no longer hidden hunger. "I have wanted you for so long, Raedryn... tell me now if you do not want this... I cannot stand going further before being told to stop."
The young man felt a momentary pang of frustration and anger as he realized that all of the distain from the Sunfeli was all a ploy to avoid the moment in which they had found themselves, and he was still trying to find ways to keep himself from satisfying what was quickly becoming something that Raedryn also wanted. Perhaps that was why the words escaped him. "But if I said okay now and told you to stop later..."
The familiar look of deadly intent flashed across the Cat's gaze for a split second before the violent flame disappeared altogether and Bird looked away. "Then I would stop, Raedryn... I have controlled myself before now and I will do so again if you say I--"
The answer was enough for the Human and he reached up to begin loosening the cord holding the spymaster's trousers closed. "Shhh... I'm not telling you to stop, Bird."
The feline gazed down at him for several long seconds as the Human finally released the knot, at which point Bird doubled his affections, muzzle pushed almost painfully against his mouth as the Sunfeli's sandpapery tongue attacked his. The intensity was there, so much so that the texture almost hurt, but Raedryn's head swam with the experience and he could not deny that he enjoyed it. A moment later the experience of the flesh between his lips was lost to a new sensation: the soft, velvety pad of one of Bird's fingers teasing the opening of his backside; it immediately made him draw in a sharp breath through his nose.
The Cat pulled away. "Did I hurt you, Raedryn? Was I too--"
The Human couldn't hide his smile. "I'm fine, Bird... I'm not some kind of fragile--"
He was unable to get any more words out as the spymaster redoubled his efforts, almost as if attempting to prove the young man wrong. Raedryn's entire body went taut when Bird slid the finger into him up to the second knuckle and then, as if making a point, began wriggling it. The feeling so prominent in his mind almost made him miss another sensation: a dribble of warmth on his thigh. Breaking the newest kiss in order to catch his breath, Raedryn had just enough room to maneuver his head to look down and see what had caused it. His eyes widened in surprise when he realized that Bird's member was poking out through the loosened opening of his trousers, standing at attention with eagerness to be used.
Through the many years Bird had served his father, Raedryn had seen the Sunfeli in conditions of undress only three times, and only one of those had included a lack of any kind of cover to his groin. On that occasion Bird's small, unobtrusive sheath was barely noticeable due to the thick raven-black fur of his groin, but it was readily obvious, laying on the floor with the Cat all but pinning him that Bird was definitely a grower, not a shower. The spymaster's member was easily larger than his own, and Raedryn was reasonably well endowed. Further, like Herald's it was furless, slick, and bright red. Unlike the Varkken's, it was much more conical in shape and didn't appear to have the bulbous base.
The Sunfeli's voice spoke up, quiet, with a soft rumble to it, not unlike the hidden threat of far off thunder. "Does it frighten you, Raedryn?"
The Human released his inhibitions. "Stop trying to scare me off and fuck me already."
It was the most vulgar Raedryn had ever been, and far more so than he ever thought possible for himself. The shocked expression on Bird's muzzle revealed that he wasn't the only one surprised by his outburst but the spymaster recovered first, doubling down on his intent. Gripping either one of the Human's arms, the Cat used his legs to push Ray's further apart, voice an even deeper growl as he licked the young man's lips. "With pleasure, Master Raedryn."
Not even bothering to doff his leggings more than lowered to his knees, Bird wasted no time, surging forward and hilting the Human in one go. Raedryn cried out at the sudden intrusion into his body but he was fortunate enough that he had yet to bathe and was still slightly slick from his earlier activity with Herald. If the Sunfeli noticed he didn't show it, attention focused wholly on the act, slamming his hips home as his fur-covered sac slapped audibly against the Human's rump.
Raedryn had just regained his breath from the force of the spymaster's insistence when the Cat withdrew his hips, the small barbs on his member raking the Human's insides as it retreated from his opening. The young man grabbed hold of Bird's wrists, which were balancing the Sunfeli's weight against the ground on either side of Ray's head. Arms curved back so that his elbows were sticking skyward, they mimicked his legs, which were splayed wide to make room for Bird's hips, which had almost pulled back far enough for the Cat's member to escape the young man's body before, with what almost sounded like a snarl, powered right back in.
Moaning, the Human felt it so acutely, so raw that he almost forgot himself and asked for Bird to stop, but the only thought that was more unbearable than desperate fucking continuing was for it to end. Unable to withstand the sensations of his insides alternately being parted on the surge forward and clawed on the withdraw, Raedryn could only whimper as the unimaginable stimulation worked him over into a near immediate release, his bare member throbbing as it willingly surrendered everything his testicles had to offer, painting himself and some of the spymaster's sternum fur with his seed.
Gasping for air, Raedryn realized that Bird had only just begun and he squirmed as the Cat's fevered pace only picked up speed. The feeling within him spurred on by Bird's passion was entirely different than what he'd experienced with Harold-- no less exuberant, but also likewise incomparable. The Human's hips began to rock on each incoming thrust from the Cat and Ray ended up wrapping his legs around the spymaster's hips, his moans turning into grunts as his member went from overstimulated right back into full on arousal. Bird, by that point, was looking straight down at him, pupils wide, and eyes gleaming in the half-light, taking in all of Raedryn.
Even with his creased brow, silent snark on his muzzle and the fervid, urgent need, Bird's feral hunger was drowned by a sense of something else and the Human realized just what it was as the Cat took in a deep breath, steeling himself as his expression softened for just a moment. "Young Master Raedryn..." he said the words with almost a similar sense of devotion as Ray had heard from Herald, but his voice was tight. "I... I won't last... much longer..."
The young man was simultaneously disappointed and relieved; he didn't know much longer he could take himself. Loosening his grip on the Cat's wrist with his right hand, he raised it to rest on the spymaster's shoulder, smiling up at the Sunfeli. "Then don't holding back."
Bird's expression turned to one of sheer determination and unabashed desire. Gritting his teeth together, the spymaster adjusted his hips, moving them forward as he took on a more downward angle and pulling Ray's rump further off the ground so he could use the gravity to his advantage. When the Cat next spoke his voice was even tighter. "I... I'm almost there, Ray-- do I... finish inside?"
It was the first time Raedryn had ever recalled hearing the spy master call him by his shortened name; the young man's father hated his son's name being shortened and so all of the staff called him by his full name. That thought came into and out of his mind just as quickly as he addressed the Sunfeli's question, gripping Bird's shoulder harder so he couldn't retreat. "Don't pull out."
Bird didn't. Letting out a roaring yowl, the spy master ground his groin almost painfully against Raedryn's ass, his stiff member pulsing with enough force that the Human could feel each twitch every time it preceeded a powerful gushing of warmth which repeated itself once... twice... and a third time, at which point he began to feel it trickle out of his opening-- the same one that was caressed by the convulsing velvety sac that hung just outside it. Bird held him like that for several seconds, their bodies creating a triangle with the ground, supported on one angle by Ray's shoulders and the other by the spy master's feet.
Eventually, as the Cat's orgasm began to wane, he lowered them both to the ground, coming to rest atop the Human. Ray was so caught up in the experience and the prolonged situation from the spy master's barbed member that he didn't realize at first that the Cat had literally pushed another release from him and Bird lay against two rounds worth of semen stuck between their bodies. Not particularly caring at that point, Raedryn closed his eyes, wrapping around the Sunfeli atop him.
He spoke into the Cat's chest. "Okay... I... think I believe you now, Bird..."
Rather than offer any specific response, Bird took hold of him and rolled over until Raedryn was laying on his chest, shaft still stuck within the young man so that the Human could feel him purring against his chest and abdomen, but also inside his body at the same time. The sensation made his toes curl, but that was second only to when the Cat leaned down and brushed his muzzle across Ray's lips, speaking even as he instigated a kiss. "I care for you, Master Raedryn... deeply."
Their lips met and Raedryn could only think of how the circle was complete without fully understanding the thought. No sooner was it through his mind than it was replaced by something else entirely. It was something the young man had experienced only once before, and it was no less powerful. It started with a bright light, so complete and all-encompassing that even closing his eyes did nothing to lessen its dazzling brilliance. The same crystalline meoldy he'd heard in the old temple returned, still as ephemeral and divine as before; the visions also returned.
The thousands of images returned; the millions of voices came with. He was once again exalted and once again condemned; he was blessed and cursed; he felt the euphoria and the torture-- the ecstasy and the misery. As with before, those sensations were his, or meant for him, or because of him, or perhaps in spite of him. They made no more sense than the last time he had been awash in the sea of sensational overload, and yet one single image and one single voice stuck in in his mind above all others. The figure, standing atop a rocky cliff, clad in nothing but the blackest of fur was Bird-- it had to be bird.
A tattered red cloak flowed behind him, creating a shimmering shadow as it lingered in front of the setting sun, though it was gone in an instant, having been carried behind the cat by the wind. Bird's black fur always seemed to hold the complete depth of the darkest midnight but, Raedry recalled, under specific lights the sheen that played across it revealed an intermittent exchange of even darker 'o' spots and stripes, and, in that moment, they almost glowed in the light of the setting sun. In either paw he carried a curved blade, both longer and yet somehow more elegant than the straight-bladed throwing knives the spy master favored so much as his weapons of choice.
Then, as suddenly as the image had lodged itself in his mind, it was gone, remaining as nothing more than the faintest of memories, yet still far more tangible than any of the hundreds of thousands that had bombarded in the handful of seconds he found overwhelming. Shaking his head and blinking his eyes against the bombardment, Raedryn looked down into the confused expression of the spymaster, who was still gazing up at him. Bird's pupils had gone from large pools of blackness to almost unnoticeable black lines and the cat's fur was sticking on end. "What in the name of the divine was that?"
Raedryn fought hard to push back his blush but the tingling on his cheeks signaled that he'd failed. He had no way to explain to the spymaster what he'd experienced so he chose to provide his answer as vaguely as possible. "I... sorry... I guess I... blanked out a moment?"
Bird slowly sat up, wrapping his arms around the young man until Ray was settled into his lap. The Sunfeli looked strangely disquieted. "Did you not see it, Master Raedryn?"
The Human didn't have any meaningful response. "See what?"
The Cat let out a long sigh, rubbing at his face. "I thought I saw you, but--" he lowered his head, shaking it.
The statement caught Raedryn by surprise and left the young man curious. "You saw me? I'm right here. What do you mean, Bird?"
Bird grimaced noticeably but after no more than a moment's hesitation spoke. "I saw you atop a mountain pass... it was twilight. You were laying on the ground before me, but you were not you. I mean... I could tell it was you, even though it wasn't."
Raedryn knew in that moment that something HAD been seen... by both of them. He spoke frankly. "You were naked... and had curved blades."
The Cat blinked, eyes widening slightly despite his voice coming out with the same calm clarity that he always seemed to exhibit. "You were not... your clothes were finer than anything your father owned, and a pendant flew by."
The Human realized immediately what Bird meant. "I thought it was a cloak... it was--"
They both said the same word "Red."
The sound of the manor's front door closing pulled both their attention to it. Bird shifted Raedryn to the side slightly even as Ray rotated his head around to see who had invaded their private space; it was Herald. The Varken closed the door quietly and locked it (Raedryn cursed himself for being so insistent on talking to Bird that he had neglected that step). If he had expected the Wolf to be the least bit angry at the situation, Raedryn was proven wrong as the Varkken immediately began speaking in an almost businesslike tone. "That was the Oriflamme... the divine symbol of the Shattered God."
The Human grunted, then winced as he slowly dismounted Bird, squirming as he felt a small stream of Sunfeli semen escape him as he pulled himself off of the still semi-firm prickly shaft. Although his first inclination was to cover himself, Raedryn chose instead to stand without modesty, addressing the Wolf. "You've mentioned the Shattered God before. What does that have to do with any of us, Herald?"
Behind him, Reaedryn heard Bird stand and the spymaster was beside him in a moment, one paw resting on the Human's shoulder while the other hung dangerously close to the pouch of the Cat's pants, which remained withdrawn down to his thighs, but still definitely close enough for him to reach a dagger. The Sunfeli's question was much more direct, and much more poignant. "How do you know what we saw?"
Herald stood just inside the doorway, making no move to approach any closer but likewise seeming completely unbothered by Bird's aggressive defense. He somehow managed to answer both questions at once, but without providing any great clarity. "The Shattered God is the source of my devotion, Raedryn-- my Light. You are his Prophet... and your Sunfeli servant is, as I had suspected: a Fractal."
Bird took another step forward, positioning himself between Raedryn and the Wolf. A fresh blade was in the Cat's paw, but it was not yet held aggressively. "What do you mean, 'Fractal'? What does any of this have to do with--"
The Wolf's muzzle pursed with obvious frustration. "It has been so long since He held any sway... ever since mortals had all but forsaken Him."
Raedryn stepped up so that he was equal with Bird and reached out to brush his fingers along the Sunfeli's wrist, gripping it slightly, and lowering the tip of the blade. He then regarded Herald. "By 'Him', you mean The Sundered One?"
Herald lowered his muzzle, offering a gracious nod. "Just so, My Prophet. You have done as He wills, and you are enacting his Will. You have found your Herald, and you have discovered a Fractal. I praise you as I praise him, Master Raedryn-- I had known you would find a Sunfeli, but had not expected you to know him."
Bird countered in a dour voice, nearly spitting the words "And I hadn't expected him to Know you, Varkken."
Just the emphasis Bird put on the word 'Know' was enough to tell Raedryn exactly what the spymaster meant it to mean. If the aggressive challenge had any impact for Herald the Wolf didn't let it show. "He shall Know many in his duty to the Shattered God."
Raedryn stepped between Herald and his father's spy master, turning to regard the cat. "Easy, Bird... I don't understand it either, but he doesn't mean any offense."
The Sunfeli made a sour face, folding his arms across his chest as he stared the Wolf down (his pants fell down lower because of it). "Then he should explain... for both our benefit-- and his as well."
The Human knew that Bird could be quite intimidating but, in that moment, still caught with his pants down, Raedryn found him a very distinct kind of disheveled-sexy. Just thinking about it made him blush, and that was apparently what Herald focused on. "He fancies you greatly, Sunfeli. Are you not even the least bit curious as to why?"
Bird took a step closer and, as if reading Raedryn's mind, suddenly realized that he had quite literally been caught with his pants down, and swiftly restored his modesty. To his credit, he recovered immediately, picking up from where he left off. "I have learned not to question my good fortunes."
Before the two came to harsh words again, Raedryn pulled back to the earlier question which had yet been answered. "You said Bird is a Fractal? What does that have to do with anything? What is a Fractal?"
Herald offered a gracious bow with such poise it seemed impossible to come from such an otherwise imposing Varkken. "As you request, so shall I answer, My Light. Fractals are echoes of His power. They take the form of morals who have no connection to the divine other than the Seeds of Divinity with which they are imbued."
The Wolf was already bringing up other terminology that was going over Raedryn's head. Before Bird could interrupt the questioning, the young man pushed forward. "So... you're saying that Bird has some kind of divine something-or-other in him?"
The Varkken offered a succinct nod of his head. "Yes, oh Prophet, otherwise when your souls united he would not have received the Visions, and any you may have received would have been much less for it."
Bird interjected before Raedryn could continue the inquiries. "What do you know about visions? How do you know I had any in the first place?"
The Cat remained on guard, but at least the blade was no longer in his paw. Herald made no move to approach, rather, he about-faced, strolling back toward the front door. "I know of the Visions because The Word Incarnate and I shared in such an experience when we Became One. Such is the effect when the Prophet joins with a Celestial or Fractal... anyone who carries a Divine Seed."
The Sunfeli made a disgusted face, not unlike when Ray saw him stepped in something wet without boots. "The way you say that-- 'seed'... you continue to make it sound lurid."
Herald stopped beside the door and turned back to face them both. "There is nothing untoward, sinful or, as you put it, 'lurid' about the collection of the Seeds of Divinity, as it is the holy task of the Prophet. Master Raedryn-- YOUR master, and MINE, is that Prophet, and it shall be our holy task to see him complete it."
Raedryn interrupted Bird, who looked like he was about to say something unproductive. "Because you're a Celestial, and he's a... a Fractal?"
Herald inclined his head regally. "Just so, Resplendent One."
Bird glanced at the Human. "How many honorifics does he HAVE for you, exactly?"
The young man had to fight back a laugh, offering a snickering aside "I know, right?"
It was the Varkken's turn to roll his eyes. "While I can appreciate the levity with which you approach the situation, Lord Raedryn, your feline manservant must understand the importance of his role. He cannot be so obsessively possessive of--"
The Sunfeli bared his teeth. "I am no man servant."
Herald was surprisingly mellow at the challenge and, in fact, backpedaled. "Please forgive my casual dismissal of your value and obvious skill-- not many could stand against me in combat, and I meant no disrespect... Bird, was it?"
It was the first time Herald had called the spymaster by name. Raedryn hoped it would be the start of something a little more civil. He was let down by Bird's response. "I have no interest in familiarity with you... Wolf."
Raedryn turned to the side and rested a hand on Bird's shoulder. "Please try to get along. I know you two didn't get off to a good start, but--"
Herald offered a reserved, polite smile. "But we will be working together for quite some time." The Sunfeli opened his muzzle to speak, but the Varkken continued. "--a guest approaches."
The Human was taken aback. "Everyone knows my father is away on business. We shouldn't be expecting a--"
A knock at the door interrupted him. Bird, to his side, finished securing his belt and glanced to Raedryn. "A contracted artisan your father hired before he left. Master Raedryn, might I suggest you collect your leggings?"
The young man was so busy oogling the partially naked spymaster he was completely oblivious to his own state of undress and, unlike the Cat, his pants were nowhere near his body. Sprinting to the middle of the room, Raedryn quickly grabbed them and slipped them on, hopping on one foot and then the other until he could pull them up and secure them around his waist. Still blushing, he offered a thumbs up. "All good."
Hearald, without having to be told, obediently opened the door, speaking without even looking outside. "Master Craftsman, welcome to the Wescott Residence. You stand before Raedryn Wescott and Bird Castir, the Caretaker of the Wescott Estate in Mr. Wescott's absence."
The skill with which the Varkken made introductions was mind-blowing, and surprising to a degree that it was second only to the knowledge of Bird's surname. Aside from Raedryn's father, the young man knew of nobody else who was familiar with the Sunfeli's lineage-- Ray himself only knew it because he overheard it said between his father and the Cat. If Bird was surprised or perturbed by Herald's familiarity he didn't let it show in the least; he was a consummate professional as he faced the door. "You were not expected until closer to noon, Mr. Stonewright."
Raedryn looked to the door, surprised at what he saw. The craftsman was a Hopling, and the Rabbit folk were not common in Kashyr. Mr. Stonewright, as he was called was hardly five feet tall (not counting his ears) but looked the part of a man who dealt with stone day in and day out. The Rabbit buck was built like a stone tower, corded muscles still visible beneath the velvety, roan laprine fur. He had the knotted, thick paws of a laborer and his well-toned body, was just showing the hints of age-- a little extra padding around the abdomen and a few streaks of gray amidst his dark chestnut pelt.
The Rabbit was both pleasant and official in his reply. "Sorry if it's not polite, but I believe in being places on time, and if I'm not early I'm late, Mr. Castir."
Bird's expression soured slightly, but only enough that someone who knew him could tell. His follow up kurt statement reinforced his displeasure. "Bird. Just Bird."
Mr. Stonewright seemed to gloss over that. "Sure enough, Bird. Anyway, if it's not a bad time, I was gonna go look at the wall Lord Wescott wanted worked on. Master Wescott, pleasure to meet you."
The smoothness with which the Hopling transitioned between talking to Bird and then Raedryn impressed the young man; he was not quite as talented in high society situations. "Uhm... likewise, Mr. Stonemason."
The Rabbit laughed. "Ha! Polite lad... don't worry about the Mister stuff, Master Wescott... Mason's fine. Your dad's payin' a lot for me so you can call me just about anything you want."
Perhaps it was only Raedryn's imagination, but he almost found himself thinking there was something more to the Hopling's friendly wink than good social skills. He quickly excused himself and headed off to his room to ponder just what was going on with him. Herald followed, much to Bird's chagrin.
