The shell is like nothing she had passed through her body before, smooth, yet strong. It stretches her walls as she gasps, panting as the large thing seeks to be accommodated by her wide hips. She holds steady as the cradle of life passes along her body, the pain melting into an ecstasy the likes she hadn’t felt before. She wonders, for a moment, if this feeling is different for other beings or if dragons have the monopoly on the pleasure of birth.
Her groans reach high into the night sky and become another form of thanks for this new life she had so lovingly enjoyed these past few months.
The wider portion exits her womb, passing through her draconic cervix and down into the birth canal. She gasps, her eyes rolling back as her walls expand farther than she ever had before. No matter how big Teragargax’s cock is, the massive shaft is no match for the hard, smooth shell of an egg.
As the thing passes through her, her walls become so much more lubricated, allowing it to slide faster. She’s practically flowing from the excitement of it all, and part of the flow comes from the sheer amazing feeling it is, a beautiful blend of pain and pleasure and pride. Her body, her wonderful dragoness body, is producing new life.
That’s right. She is not just a dragon, but a dragoness. She can and is giving birth to the greatest beings to grace this mortal world. With the excitement of knowing this, she pushes hard, gritting her teeth and squealing higher in the frustration. It needs to come out. It needs to come out now so that her baby’s vessel can be free from her body.
Sylvari opens her mouth wide, throwing her head back and calling out once more to the night sky in a mighty roar. A plume of blue flame erupts into the sky.
With that, the slimy, shiny egg plops down into the pile of gold, and all the pressure, all the pain, all the exhaustion washes away. The dragon rolls over, resting in front of the little thing, so tiny compared to how it felt. She wraps her arms around it, pulling it in close, closing her eyes as she presses her ear against it. Despite the hard shell around it, Sylvari can feel it… she can feel the life within, beating warm and happy.
The flaps of wings herald the coming of a great beast, and Sylvari opens her eyes and lifts her head. There stands Teragargax, looking down at the new mother and her unhatched child, the dragon smiles and raises his staff aloft.
Sylvari’s eyes widen at the sight. The staff that Teragargax used to warp her mind to want him when she was first transformed—she had nearly forgotten about the damned thing. “So,” she says, “You’re here to take me back, then?”
Teragargax takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and tosses the thing down before her.
She narrows her gaze, then stares at him, head slightly tilted.
“I used that so that I may strengthen my line,” Teragargax says. Motioning to the egg. “If this unhatched wyrmling is anything like its mother, then I have no more need to coerce you. It shall be the greatest among dragonkind, and for that, I am grateful.”
Sylvari smiles and nuzzles against her egg, closing her eyes. “Thank you,” she says, “for this. I’m tired. I’ll call for you when the time of hatching comes.”
Saying nothing more, the father of Sylvari’s child spreads his wings and launches into the air, the night sky glowing bright with green light.
Meanwhile, back at the village, Cassia looks out her window to see the impressive light show, and from there she remembers a friend who was once enamored with the natural world and is now a wonderful, powerful, and beautiful part of it. And that’s all she could ask for as Ben’s oldest friend.
