A Fondling of Friends

For JCFoxman

By Draconicon

It was a strange journey from the train station for the blue-furred fox. Not merely for the number of people that got on and off the vehicle – though that was considerably more crowded than his preferred means of transportation – nor for the bits of magic that he saw as he walked down the steps. Ever since arriving at the Docetri airport, he had become almost blasé to the flickers of magical power that caught the eye from every direction. If he reacted to everything that he saw, the fox would swiftly go mad.

No, it was the life in the city that caught and held his attention as he reached the bottom of the steps, and it was that which left him spellbound as the world ran by before him.

Kira slowly panned his gaze across the bus station at the bottom of the steps. His eyes saw the people that rushed from the stairs to busses, taxis, and cars that were pulling in and out at all times. He saw the vehicles that darted in and rushed away with the speed of hawks seizing their prey from rivers and lakes. He saw the beggars that lay in wait, some of them in dire straits, others pulled tight and waiting to spring on someone that showed weakness.

But it was the magic, the shimmering lights under it, that caught his breath.

It was life. The world shimmered around him, flowing with the full force of a raging river through the streets. Kira lowered his hand to the sword hanging from his waist and gripped the hilt, not out of fear, but just to ground himself against the currents of magic and power all around him. Here, the shining white of a lightning bolt zipping just underground. There, the dull gray that ran down a blade before it struck, rising up the side of a building. There, the soft warmth of green as a woman –

Kira tilted his head up and away, his cheeks reddening ever so slightly as he realized that he’d been about to stare down the cleavage of a woman of the night. He turned away from the teasing hyena, rubbing the back of his head as he walked toward the main street on the left side of the station. Her laughter chased him away, and echoed in his ears as he left the worst of the crowd behind.

“Well, I understand why Draco chooses to live here…”

Shaking his head, the fox reached into his pocket and pulled out the directions he’d penned. Hardly the most modern paper, he supposed, but he had a deep preference for the more traditional tools. Sword over gun, robes over street clothes, and more. It was just…more comfortable for him.

Which probably made him stand out on the street, he supposed. A long blue-white robe ran from his shoulders to his ankles, and he wore strong leather sandals rather than the traditional shoes that most of the others around him wore. A leather belt wrapped tight around his waist, keeping it all pulled close, and the curved sheath of his sword ran down one side.

It would not be needed here, Draco had told him. Kira was sure that it wouldn’t be, but he preferred to have it and not need it rather than the other way around.

He unfolded the paper, reading through it. From the station, it was supposed to be a relatively short walk – about half a mile – to the dragon’s apartment building. Draco had said that it would be unlikely that they’d be able to meet at the station, due to unstated plans that the dragon had for their night together, but that he’d come down to the lobby as soon as the fox got in.

A half mile. He could cover that quickly enough. Kira memorized the directions and folded the page up once more.

“Draco…It’ll be nice to see you again, old friend.”

The blue fox shook his head and set off.

Along the way, he passed by many a strange place. There were stores that sold food that was ‘guaranteed’ to build muscle, or fat, or any number of body-types, and he paused to watch as customers stepped outside with their forms already changing. A scholarly vixen stepped out of one such place and swelled with the first bite, rising inches in height and gaining so much muscle down her arms that her sleeves ripped. She didn’t even react to the transformation, and he hurried on to avoid staring.

Other shops promised pleasure, and Kira blinked as he passed by not one, but five such establishments lined up against each other. Two had neon signs of big-breasted women over the door, one with her legs spread wide as if one had to walk between them to enter the place, while another two were more masculine, including one that had such a long shaft that it looked as if one would enter it to enter the store. The final one’s door was framed with two draconic individuals, one masculine, one feminine, both clasping at the doorway and waving for travelers to walk in.

Once more, Kira shook his head and moved on, though this time with a faint hint of a blush at the sheer forwardness of the city. Of all the things that he had expected coming to see Draco, he’d not expected such…casualness.

More magic – from lightning-projecting repairmen to growing laborers, from slime-covered rescue-workers at a collapsed building to a poodle wrapping herself in metal to become almost mechanical for unknown purposes – caught his attention as he walked on. Each one was fantastic, strange and awe-inspiring, but the more that he saw, the less strange it was. It swiftly became something more vaguely interesting than must-see, and he was able to walk a little faster toward his destination.

Finally, he arrived. He turned away from the street and looked up at the building. Tens of stories tall, the apartment building looked high enough to loom over most of the city, and he wondered how he had not seen it from the station. The lobby was warm, lit with a gentle orange-yellow light that made it feel more comfortable as he walked inside. The floor, covered with gold-silver tiling, made it feel lush but not too gaudy, and he smiled as he walked over to the desk by the elevators.

A dove receptionist looked up from a computer, her head cocked to the side as he approached. She tapped a few keys and turned her attention fully to him.

“Good evening, Mr…?”

“Ah, yes, sorry,” he said, bobbing his head gently. “I am Kira. I have a friend staying here, a Mr. Draconicon?”

“Oh, you’re a friend of Draconicon’s? From the academy, or –”

“No, no, from out of town, I’m afraid. Though I am quite curious how someone like him teaches.” Kira smiled. “I apologize, but could I beg you the favor to let him know that I’ve arrived? He said he’d meet me once I got here.”

“Oh. Do you – do you not have a phone?”

“I’m afraid not; I forgot to get one before coming here.”

“Oh, dear. Yes, that would be a problem, hon. No worries; I’ll call him right now. Feel free to take a seat while you wait.”

“Thank you, miss.”

Kira bowed his head again and stepped back. He made his way to one of the couches toward the front of the lobby and sat down, biting back a soft grunt as he took a load off. Coming in on a plane, then an airship, and then a train might not require the same effort as the long walks from his home to his local airport, but sitting for so long was its own exercise.

As he rubbed the backs of his calves, he wondered what it would be like to spend time with Draco again. The last time that they’d met up, it had been well away from here. Draco had been passing through his neck of the woods, as a matter of fact, and they had shared both food and a bit of intimacy at the time.

A bit. He chuckled. It had been more akin to Draco showing off and him doing the same than anything else. Neither of them had had the heart to take it further –

No. He would not be dishonest. He had been unsure about taking it further, and Draco had made it clear that he would not push the issue. It had been fine, then, but since, Kira had seen it as a lost opportunity.

Maybe it will be different this time, he thought, sitting upright. Draco is…certainly different than me…but maybe the interest is still there.

The fox smiled, shaking his head ruefully. It was almost ridiculous, in a way; his species had such a stereotype for being slutty, almost whorish, and here he was, avoiding sex shops and dodging a dragon that – at least at some point – was interested in him. Hardly the sort of fox that most people would think of when they thought of his species.

But that was just who he was. Not much that he could do about that.

He had been sitting there for slightly over two minutes when the elevator dinged. Kira looked up, not surprised to see a bare foot step out of the elevator, and he smiled as he looked up the long, formal pants and gold jacket of his friend. The fox stood up before Draco had left the elevator, ready to greet his friend –

“Kira! It’s been so long.”

Before he knew it, Draco crossed the lobby and pulled him into an embrace that lifted him right off his feet. He grunted in surprise, the air momentarily squeezed from his lungs as the dragon held him aloft.

“Mmmph…good to see you too, Draco.”

“Heh, still shortening my name, are we?” the dragon teased. “You’re one of the only people I let do that.”

“I know. I know.”

Kira smiled as the big dragon put him back on the floor. The size difference between the two of them was as stark as it had ever been; Draco – or Draconicon, as his full name was – stood seven feet tall, and Kira’s ears only barely broke six feet. The rest of him was significantly under, and yet, they smiled at each other as if they stood at the same height.

He remembered how they had met, long ago. The pair of them had been traveling, meeting up somewhere for tea. They had shared a table, then conversation, then a room. Never so carnally, of course, but for reasons of cost and comfort. They had traveled for a time, enjoying more conversations and more thoughts together.

Kira was a swordsman. He had trained for many years, and had gone on a journey to find more and learn about the world. Draco was a mage, a wizard of power, and though he had been much weakened abroad – or so the black dragon said – he still had a keen mind and a few tricks that had stood them in good stead.

But now…

Kira didn’t have to look hard to see the power that suffused the dragon before him. What had been a spark was now an inferno, as if Draco fed on the power of the city itself to become something more than simply magical. Standing next to him left the fox feeling as if he was standing by a wellspring of primal power, and it was…intense, to put it mildly.

“You’re looking well, Ser Draco,” Kira said, bowing his head. “The city favors you.”

“As it would you, if you stayed more than a couple of days,” the dragon said, chuckling and shaking his head. “Though I doubt that I’d have the luck to convince you of that. No more than two nights, I imagine?”

“Indeed.”

“A pity your feet always itch to be off.”

“Such is the life I’ve chosen. But it is not without its rewards.”

“Well, let one of those rewards tonight be my company. Come. Let’s head upstairs so you can rest properly.”

“That would be appreciated.”

Draco offered him an arm, and Kira took it with a smile. Allowing himself to be led to the elevator, he didn’t miss the dove’s small smile in his direction. There was a knowingness in those eyes that belied her species’ reputation for innocence, and despite himself, Kira blushed.

The elevator was quick, taking them to one of the upper stories. The fox shook his head, still smiling.

“A man of learning living in a penthouse, hmm? I see that you are not living a humble life.”

“As if you wouldn’t take some comfort where you could, old friend,” the dragon said, rolling his eyes – or seemingly so, as it was impossible to tell with those white orbs – before ruffling the fox’s head-fur. “You’re not exactly living a life of a hermit the few times that you return home, from what I remember.”

“A monastery is a place of humbleness.”

“Mmm-hmm. And all the women that have spent time living there in the past?”

“…Perhaps not always humble, but humble enough,” Kira said, chuckling. “I forgot what it’s like to spar with you.”

“Heh, this is what you call sparring? I call this enjoying each other.”

Ping.

The elevator stopped, and Kira blinked as the door opened.

“What –”

“The penthouses cover most of a floor, each,” Draconicon said, stepping out of the elevator. “If you have one, you have to take a specific elevator to it. Otherwise, you can’t get in.”

That seemed like a dangerous design flaw, but at the same time, it was hard not to appreciate the spread before him. The penthouse ran out to glass walls that looked out upon the city, glowing beneath them with life, light, and magic, and between the elevator door and the glass was a living room that dipped down, like a stepped pyramid in reverse, to a sunken den with a couch and television at the bottom. Above that were various miniature libraries, ranging from twenty books to a hundred, all on small, well-carved shelves, and an inventory beside each to show which books were there.

On their level, at the top, was a fridge, a few places for shoes and cloaks to rest, and a number of chairs and candles and pillows. It was quite the arrangement, all colored with natural warm and dark woods, and enchanted lights hanging from the ceiling that cast gentle illumination on the whole place.

“…You’ve been putting a great deal of work into this, Ser Draco,” Kira said, shaking his head as he took off his shoes and put them by the door. “Shall I leave my sword here, as well?”

“There’s nothing to fear, here. Please. Leave it there.”

The dragon had already taken off his coat, leaving him in a well-to-do red suit with golden stitching. As the dragon descended to the couch, Kira took off his belt and left it by the door. He caressed the hilt for a moment, whispering a little blessing to the blade, before following the spiral to the couch.

Once he arrived, the dragon patted his back, tilting his head to the side.

“So, what have you been up to? Tell me everything.”

#

They talked for hours, and it was as relaxing as he remembered.

Kira discussed his travels, how he had gone from one end of the earth to the other. The fox recalled the friends that he had made along the way, the humorous errors that had plagued him, and the wonders that he had seen. Spirits, mystical springs, and things that nobody else would believe spilled from his lips, and Draco paid such attention that he felt almost embarrassed at the intensity of the dragon’s stare.

And in return, Draco told him about his life, about how the school had been developing, and the woes of a teacher. Whether mage or mundane, teachers and students would always have the same complaints, and yet, there was a way that the dragon told the story of his simple life that made it that much more fascinating and compelling.

As they took turns telling stories of how they had spent their lives apart, Kira couldn’t help but notice that his friend was slowly taking off his clothes. Not in the way of stripping down or showing off, but occasionally taking off this accessory, or unbuttoning that top part of his suit, or other small things of that sort. It was never much, but it slowly added up, until –

Kira stopped talking as his friend undid the last button in his shirt and took it off. The blue-furred fox stared at the dragon’s pecs, hard, firm, and certainly distinct in a way that one never would have expected from a simple scholar. His eyes lingered there, tracing the curve of muscle and power beneath the smooth scales –

Too long. By the time that he looked up again, Draco wore the smile that he knew all too well. He looked away.

“Was I that obvious?” Kira asked.

“Quite. But I didn’t want to do anything until you were comfortable.”

“Heh. You call that little chest-trap comfortable?”

“I call your stare forward, and eager. And if I am wrong, tell me.”

“…You are not.”

“Then allow me to take this a step further.”

It was embarrassing to have the dragon take his hand in that moment, but welcome. He submitted to having it pulled up, then pressed to Draco’s chest. The scales were smooth beneath his fingers as the dragon dragged his hand from one side of his chest to the other, forcing it flat against his hard muscles. They were broad enough that the fox’s fingers were forced to take the shape of the muscles, contoured to them, cupping them.

“…They’re…quite large,” Kira said.

“I know that they aren’t the boobs that you prefer –”

“Draco!”

“You know I’m right.”

“…I’m not just…a boob man.”

“No, but you do appreciate a good chest. And I know that you’ve stared at mine before.” The dragon chuckled. “I made you an offer in the past. To explore, to find what you like. Would you be willing to take that offer tonight?”

“…If you’re willing to make it.”

“Consider it made.”

Kira’s heart leaped into his throat as his friend got to his feet. The dragon’s hands made short work of his belt, and the fox bit his lips, his cheeks burning as he realized what he’d just agreed to.

He had always had an eye for women, but it had taken longer to find himself comfortable to have an eye for men, as well. It wasn’t that they were unappealing, or had ever been so, but the world was such –

No, he would make no excuses. He had grown, and that was all that mattered.

But it was more intimidating to look at a man rather than a woman. To see a woman naked was to see softness, curves, an invitation to come forward and inside. It was ‘normal’ to appreciate a woman’s softness and roundness, but to appreciate a man for the same felt strange.

But with Draco…

He watched as the dragon’s pants fell to the floor, seeing them drift as if in slow motion. His eyes traced the muscular roundness of the black-cheeked rump that came into view, falling down the muscles of the thighs down to the slight roundness at the back of the calf. Down, down, down, past the golden bands at the dragon’s ankles to the somehow clean soles of his feet as he stepped out of the pants, kicking them to the side.

His eyes went right back up, unable to focus on any one detail for too long. His cheeks burned hotter and hotter as he went up, fixating on the roundness of the dragon’s hips. For all that Draco was unquestionably male – as the faint view of the back of his sac between his thighs attested – there was something feminine about his hips, how they swelled and flared outward, making him wonder how it would feel to hold them and –

Draco shifted his tail off to the side, and Kira bit his lip as he shifted back and forth on the couch. It was quite the show to see his friend displayed like this, so shameless and yet so clearly comfortable with what he was putting ‘on offer’ like this. He could not have done that himself, and yet, Draco did it without the slightest hesitation.

Further, further up. His eyes traced the length of that long tail, running along the crocodile-like bumps on the limb to the thicker base, and then up the dragon’s ridged spine. Long wings, powerful and cloak-like when they were furled, shimmered with a faint light that reflected off the thin membrane between the bone-like dividers along their length. Further up, to the thick, broad shoulders, and to the lean neck, and the white horns that poked out over the back of Draco’s head.

And then the dragon looked over his shoulders, and Kira met his friend’s white eyes and teasing smile.

“Well?” Draco asked.

“…You are most handsome.”

“Come on. You can be more honest than that.”

“How honest do you want me to be?”

“As honest as you can, with your desires.”

“…”

“Shall I turn around?”

“…Please.”

It was embarrassing to want to see more, but the way that Draco took his time, he could tell that his friend was fine with him taking his time. More, the royal tease seemed to enjoy him being so flustered, particularly as –

Mmmph…

It was a common stereotype that there was not a fox on the face of the earth that could resist a dick in his face. Kira had never seen the appeal of putting his mouth on something like that, and he still didn’t. But this time…well, he could somewhat understand why some men would be…tempted.

Draco’s shaft was as masculine as his rump was feminine. As he turned profile, the long length of dark flesh hung down, the tip covered by just enough foreskin to leave the tiniest bit of purple showing under it. His sac was pushed forward by one thigh, looking heavy and full, and Kira could only imagine the seed that was bubbling within at that moment. Draco looked the sort of man that would be able to show off and be enjoyed by many a woman, and many a man.

And yet…

He was here.

With Kira.

Just the two of them.

Draco turned, once more facing him fully. The dragon had one hand on his hip, standing flat on one foot and the other slightly raised, on tiptoe. It made his hip slide to one side, emphasizing that curve with the heavy, soft shaft pointed toward him. The fox couldn’t look away.

“And now?” Draco asked.

“…You’re beautiful.”

“Heh. Beautiful on the manly side, handsome on the feminine side. Interesting.”

“May I –”

“Of course.”

“But I didn’t –”

“Kira. It’s you. I’m going to say yes, anyway.”

“…”

Fighting his own embarrassment, Kira got to his feet and reached out. Draco leaned in, giving him free rein, and the fox took advantage of that.

His hands roamed, starting at the dragon’s chest once more. The familiar muscle beneath his fingers was so strong, and so very big compared to his own muscles. Where he had gone lean and toned, the black dragon’s body was thick, powerful, the sort that was meant to crush those that got in its way. His chest was broad and firm, gently curving under the fox’s fingers and leading him to soft nipples.

He stroked a finger around them, testing the reactions. There was a soft thrum, but no more, and he moved on.

One muscle after another got his attention. The shoulders, the arms, the thickness in the biceps and the slight bulge over the back. He traced them, squeezed them, his breath coming short in his throat.

He knew what he was doing, that he was trying to avoid going further just yet, but there was still so much to explore. Before he could muster the courage –

“There’s some oil by the couch, if you want to see me shine,” Draconicon said.

“…You knew?”

“I had a guess.”

“…Thank you.”

Finding the oil and popping the cap, Kira poured some of it between his fingers and set to work. It was as much stroking and petting as it was massage, but there was something about being allowed to just touch, explore, tease, and savor the raw beauty of his friend that just…meant something to him.

It had gone past anything sexual at this point. It was something sensual, something beautiful, something that went in a completely different direction. As he ran his hands down the dragon’s broad back to his wide hips, he leaned up and kissed the base of Draco’s wings.

He felt honored to be there, and the soft thrums of happiness from his friend told him that he was doing something good.

Down, down, down, to the dragon’s rump. He squeezed it, letting out a wordless grunt of appreciation. Draco leaned back, the muscle squishing between Kira’s fingers. He chuckled, his cheeks still red, but his smile was growing just as much as – well, certain other parts of his anatomy.

“This…this is beyond beautiful. This is exquisite…”

“Mmmm, you know I love compliments, Kira.”

“Then I shall keep giving them. I cannot believe that I’m blessed with the sight of you like this. You are handsome, and sensual, and sexy in a way that I wasn’t sure that a man could be,” he said, shaking his head as he played with the muscular globes, pressing them together, then teasing them slightly apart before letting them come back and clap. “Muscular, powerful, and so smooth…”

“Heh, I wonder if you’ll say the same at the front.”

“…May I?”

“Always.”

Kira took a deep breath. He had put it off long enough. He should…he should take a look. He walked around –

And he stared.

He’d known that Draco was endowed – certainly, he had seen that, with eight inches of soft shaft flesh hanging from between the dragon’s legs – but now, it had hardened. It stood out, smooth and rigid, at fourteen inches, nearly as long as his forearm, and he could not take his eyes off it as it bobbed up, down, up, down, the tip pearly and shimmering with excitement as the foreskin peeled back, and a faint hint of the dragon’s scent hit his nose. Clean, but no less male for all that. Gentle, but powerful.

He reached out slowly, tracing the shine of the oil over the dragon’s shaft. The thickness, the masculinity of it, the power and perfection of his friend’s rod, held his mind as much as he held it between his fingers. Or rather, as much as he tried to; it was so huge and had such heft that he could barely wrap his fingers around it, and he could only imagine what it had done to some of the dragon’s past partners.

“This…this…”

“That belongs to whoever touches it, and can keep it satisfied,” Draco said, and the dragon tilted his head up to force Kira to meet his eyes. “I am no kept dragon, Kira; my affections have always wandered.”

“Heh…”

“But those that gain it, keep it; I have much to give, and I will give no less merely because it goes to many. You are special. And always have been.”

It was a moment like something out of a romance novel. Draco leaned down, and Kira stood up on his tiptoes, and their lips met.

It was, to put it bluntly, electrifying.

They held the kiss for a second, then another, before breaking. The fox’s breath was coming in sharp pants while the dragon still smiled, not even panting yet. He was almost smug-looking, yet still fell just short of that.

Kira shook his head, a small smile growing up his muzzle. Despite the earlier embarrassment, something else had taken charge. Affection, yes, but also arousal, and something else: the need to be worthy of the dragon’s affections.

“I don’t think I can handle this…not the way that some of your lovers have…but I would like to be with you…”

“Then come with me, hmm?”

They left the couch, making their way out of the living room pit. There was no shame in the dragon’s gait as he walked naked by the window, and Kira wondered how it would feel to have the confidence to be so shamelessly displayed. A part of him wondered just how many had seen this marvel, and he decided not to think too hard about that; it would be a shame to poison the moment with jealousy that had no place here.

He followed the dragon to the bedroom, which was as soft and warm as he had expected. The bed itself was broad, bigger than a king, meant for more than one person at any time. Along the walls were several tools and toys, clearly meant for those with at least a little bit of experience, ranging from the things that went inside to the things that teased the outside. Kira looked at them briefly before the dragon slid into bed and rolled onto his back.

“Come here,” he said.

There was a way that he spoke that made it impossible to say no. Kira walked across the room, only to stop at the foot of the bed when Draco held up his hand.

“Without that,” Draco said, gesturing to Kira’s robe.

“…”

“Please. Be brave for me.”

“…As you wish, Ser Draco.”

It took more than he thought to make himself take off his clothes. Oh, they fell with ease, and there was no problem with undoing the straps and other fiddly bits, but to let them fall away and stand naked in front of the dragon…

That was harder.

He all but leaped into bed after that, sidling up to lay beside the dragon. Draco reached down, stroking along his belly, and he shivered as the scaly fingers neared his groin. They never quite touched it, only hovering around it in a fashion that left him more teased and taunted than he expected. He groaned under his breath, shaking his head.

“Draco…”

“I will wait until you ask.”

“But I –”

“You asked to touch me, and I said yes. I will wait for you to ask me to touch you…and then I will give you as much as you want.”

How the dragon was both teasing and romantic at the same time was impossible to understand. Kira groaned, huffing, his hips twitching every so often as the dragon’s clawed fingers teased his thighs, his stomach, his hips. They traced lines through his fur that were so delicate that a feather could not have felt so light. He gritted his teeth and moaned under his breath, rolling his head against the pillow.

And all the while, Draco’s shaft throbbed over him. With the dragon lying on his side, that heavy thing rolled over his thigh, and the fox’s fur was soon damp from its own gentle dribbling.

“You…”

“All you have to do is ask, Kira,” Draco said. “Will you?”

“…Please…”

“Say it, my friend.”

“Please…touch me…”

“Then touch me, too.”

That, he could do. Kira reached out and took the dragon’s shaft in hand, the smooth flesh pulsing against his fingers. And just like that, the dragon did the same, and he gasped as those strong digits wrapped around his own shaft.

“Whatever you do to me, I will do to you. So be brave, my friend, and bold…and choose wisely…”
