Chapter 80: The Enemy Of My Enemy Is Someone Else's Enemy (Embracing Demons Part V)

Day 184 (1:30 PM Abandoned park in World Four)

“OW...." The masked revenger said as he continued to moan in pain.

“This is him pet?" Lady Ursa said looking over whom she had just thrashed. “I thought that he would have been... a bit taller."

“Don't let size fool you mistress, he and his partner somehow got a hold of master Kola's creation and have been a thorn in ONE's efforts to take over the city here."

“Yeah, that's me- OW…." Jessie said writhing.

“That vehicle destroyed the Seven/Seven Club forcing the synoptic to choose a new base of operations." I added.

“It also nearly destroyed the prototype the first time you encountered it." My she beast said looking at Attack Beast.

(That too.)

“OW…" Jessie said rolling over.

“Do quite whining, your thrashing was not THAT bad; I went easy on you." The brown bear said to her victim.

“That was easy?!" The masked revenger remarked."

“Now he does look like his utility vehicle- beat up. I better check him out." I exhaled.

“Don't touch me Other!"

“It is just Alex Winter now sir. I am no longer of the ONE." I said approaching him.

“I don't believe you."

“It's true Jessie, we had a falling out and I left. I have devoted my efforts ever since to trying to fight it and its forces."

“Bearshit!"

“If we were lying why aren't you a walker?" My she beast said kneeling.

“Humph!" Mr. Mach said under his breath as Lady Ursa continued.

“That is why we came to World Four today to help those in need in order to cut back on ONE's supply of potential recruitments."

“Jessie whether you believe it or not we are allies." I said looking over his body suit. “Reluctant allies- I just don't like your methods."

“There is the release pet." My pregnant perfect person said.

“Hey!!!" The masked revenger said as his helmet fell off his head and his spandex like suite retracted into a small chest-plate. What stood before us was a brown haired, brown eyed, bare chested, skinny 30 something man in his undergarments.

“That is quite the uniform." Lady Ursa said admiring.

“Well it gets the job done bear." He huffed.

“My you have that affliction too." I said looking at the rash on his left leg and thigh. “I thought that suit would have provided better protection."

“He was scratching his legs and his butt Alex."

“Right mistress."

“Well you two have an interesting dynamic- mistress? Pet?" He retorted as I finished looking him over. "What is that about?"

“Some bruises and that infamous affliction. I think he is going to be ok. Do you feel like you are turning into a walker?" I asked grasping his wrist.

He looked around. “No."

“Because?" I asked leading him on.

“Here, rub this ointment on the inflamed spots twice a day until it is gone." The brown bear said to the human interrupting me.

“So you are a medic. Great. Now could you do something about the headache and the pain in my back?" Jessie retorted.

(You are welcome.)

“I thought the suit would have taken the brunt of the damage." My perfect person said to him.

“Well, mistress you didn't have to be so physical with him." I chided my lover.

“You have something to say pet?"

“I mean we were kinda in danger, but you didn't have to thrash him back and forth like a rag doll."

“You know how I love to wrestle and thump my adversaries Alex."

“I mean you need to tone it down- you do have a little bear growing inside of you." I said as I finished treating our patient. “Jessie you will live, I would just avoid taking additional thrashings like that. Now as for Attack Beast...."

“......." Jessie grumbled. “Bear, boy you obviously aren't from around here, so how are you fighting back against ONE?"

“By preventing the entity from preying on the hopeless and desperate- we have a colony not far from here where we rescue refugees." I volunteered.

“Well you missed that opportunity. A few weeks ago ONE solidified its power here taking near control of the city."

“We see that Jessie and it looks like you have been fighting a losing battle." My lady bear said.

“Hey you are the masked revenger!" One of the four meerkats called out from behind a tree as the ground shook again.

“Yeah, what of it?" Mr. Mach said standing.

“You are an inspiration to all of us." The littlest meerkat said.

*Alert! Lady Ursa, Mr. Winter we are not alone!*

“What is that?" Jessie asked.

“Our high tech weapon." I responded. “What direction Overwatch?"

*Behind you.*

*WHOSH*

Lady Ursa and I turned around and were staring at two very tall avians long beaks, long tails, thick heads, strong wings, black feathers, beady eyes with a very piercing gaze.

“You are performing an unlawful function which is not welcome." The two said in unison.

“Who says?" I asked the pair.

“Guess?" Jessie shouted.

“Meerkats you four are guilty of participating in unlawful activities with a known enemy of the Quartz City. You will be punished."

“And us?" I asked the two... ravens.

“You Mr. Winter will be returned to our master. The bear and the masked human on the other paw, well it is best if they do not know."

This was a remarkable change in direction for the synoptic attacking its enemies en masse, defending its territory fiercely, threatening to punish those which it had rejected.

(That will be the day.)

“Mistress?" I asked my fierce ursine warrior.

*Schling* “You take the tall one. I will take the other taller one." She said unsheathing her sword. “Don't let them grab you."

“They appear to be about the same height." I said as she stared at me. “I will take the one on the right. Overwatch keep an eye on our patients."

“We serve the ONE in all things in all matters with our minds, hearts and souls." The avians chanted. “Until all are ONE and ONE is all!!!!"

“Nice motto, but I am not going back with you." I said firing the grappling hook. Its tip hit my target right in the shoulder. I pulled the raven right toward me kicking the beastial in the groin and bringing my fists down on its head- hard.

Meanwhile my mistress was dodging air strikes from her opponent as it dive bombed her. She soon got fed up and threw her sword striking the black avian right in one of its wings. It landed on the ground with a big thud and then it was thumping time. Lady Ursa picked up what was left of her raven and tossed it onto mine who I had just trounced.

“Remarkable." One of the male meerkats watching the fight said. “They bounced the bouncers!"

“We have some experience fighting Others." I said as six more crows landed right in front of us.

“Until all are ONE!!

!!!

(Crap)

*Alert! One of the avians attacking the meerkats.*

“We are busy dealing with the other five!" Lady Ursa shouted as she was fighting three at one time.

“I was stuck dealing with the other two. I tried to line them up as best I could as they continued to advance." I was going to call out to Jessie for assistance, but I soon discovered that the masked revenger had disappeared.

“Overwatch code black launch glue grenades!" I shouted firing at one of the avians. It easily dodged and moved in on me.

*I can't comply Mr. Winter. You and Lady Ursa would be in the crossfire.*

“Then use the bola!" I shouted.

*You are still in the way.* The automated assistant said as I was grabbed from behind and the two crows started snickering.

“Again the set is complete." One of them managed to say as Attack Beast rolled up. The front grill dropped displaying a laser array which fired this strobing light as the engine hood moved to cover the windshield.

“Aiee!!!" The six avians shouted. They were joined by the two previous we had taken out. All covering their ears holes and writhing in extreme pain.

I took that opportunity to get the meerkats to safety.

“What was that?!" My she beast asked.

“Don't know but it came from the utility vehicle." One of the female meerkats pointed out.

“We have been disconnected!" A raven screamed.

“Master!! Master where are you!!"

“It is a separation ray. Jessie used one on me the first time I met him. But it only worked on me not Demona."

“It looks like it has been perfected." My warrior bear said observing our assailants.

!!!

“Not really."

The eight ravens soon regained their constitution; they turned their attention to the masked operator of Attack Beast. Jessie pressed a button from inside the cockpit of the utility vehicle. The turret disguised as a camper rose from the bed of the truck turned and let loose on the crows; a red beam that cut all down where they stood.

“Looks like your clinic has ended."

“You killed them!" I called out to Jessie.

“The non-lethal weaponry was not effective. This was the next option." He said coldly.

“But how many of them were willing participants in all this?" One of the adult meerkats asked the masked revenger.

“From the looks of it most if not all. That brief moment they were separated from their master, how many did you see running for their lives?"

The four meerkats were quiet.

“That's right not a single one." Jessie said opening the passenger door to Attack Beast.

“You are offering us a ride?" One of the adult females asked.

“You were an accessory to all this." The masked revenger said in a particular dark tone. “They will be coming for you."

“Crap!!!" The second female said. “Every beast inside."

“You two, it is not safe to remain here either. If they bring out that sky ship of theirs we are done." Mr. Mach shouted.

“So now you trust us?" Lady Ursa said sarcastically. “Was it the thrashing?"

“That had to be the quickest care clinic ever." I said as Overwatch retracted the holo-projector.

“Actually we are in need of a medic." Mr. Mach said.

“So you are taking us to your secret hideout. Is it bigger than the pagoda?" I said sarcastically.

“Shut up." Jessie said.

And so we followed the black utility vehicle as it took to the sky it flew miles to the east over forest near a abandoned dam. We watched the utility vehicle land and the passenger door open and the four meerkats exit.

“Stay away from the city." Jessie ordered the two females and two males.

“So in essence you are telling us never to leave the woods here?" The youngest meerkat asked.

“Yes you should be safe here." Came the response.

“What about the things roaming around at night?" The little pup asked.

“Well mostly safe." Mr. Mach responded.

“How long will we have to be here?" One of the females asked.

“Until they decide to stop looking for you." Jessie said driving off. “Now stop with the questions!!!"

(That was rather abrupt.)

“My mistresses followed the black utility vehicle into a concealed entrance right into the dam. There we found a two story square shaped operations building.

*Quite impressive. Hidden in plain site*. Overwatch remarked.

We watched as the utility vehicle drove inside a side entrance and park on a raised circular platform.

“This dam was used to redirect the water from a canal when ships use to transport cargo. When hover vehicles became dominant it was abandoned." Jessie said stepping out of the utility vehicle.

“Jessie who are they?" A marble fox with black splotches over his eyes asked greeting the masked human as Lady Ursa and I stepped out of the blue prototype.

“Hi Devon." I said waving.

“It is you from the pagoda." The he fox exclaimed. “Where is your companion that harpy?"

“Ah still with her master."

The marble fox reached for a knife on his waist. “Don't come any closer! Jessie do you want to tell me why you brought them here?!"

“It is alright Devon, I found them in the park treating the sick. They are former Others."

“How is that possible?!" The marble fox said sheathing his knife.

“I was rejected by the entity." The brown bear said crossing her arms.

“And I rejected the entity." I said crossing mine.

“They are trying to prevent ONE from acquiring new vessels." The masked revenger said removing his helmet. “I also brought them here to treat you.

“And it looks like he needs it. What is that going on over here?!" I said staring at some bald spots on the fox.

“He has what I have and it is getting worse." Jessie replied.

“Well it looks like we have our next patient mistress."

“It is not that bad." The marble fox replied.

“Really? Because it looks like you are scratching yourself raw." My she beast replied.

“Devon let us help you. We just need to set up somewhere."

“Fine. This way." The white and black fox said.

We followed Jessie's partner around the operations building.

“This place is quite larger than the pagoda and mostly vacant." I commented as we rounded a grey corridor that was illuminated?!

“There is plenty space here and it is off of the entity's radar."

“Devon, how is it that this place has power?" My pregnant she beast asked.

“We generate our own." He said cryptically stopping in front of a grey door.

“Oh it is a lab." I said as he opened it.

“Yes another of our team works in here. He is smart, a little crazy- and unfortunately not a healer."

“This should do." I said pointing at a table. “Drop the shirt and pants- hop up there and let's have a look at you."

“I beg your pardon?"

“Mr. Devon do you want to get better or not?" Lady Ursa asked.

The marble fox did as requested and my she beast and I examined every inch of his body. He had been scratching mostly his legs, chest and bottom where the rash was prevalent.

“This should help. Apply it twice a day until the rash is gone." My warrior bear said.

“Ointment? AH!!! Very good ointment." Devon said as we applied a coating to his thighs and bottom.

“A treatment we devised based off of a resident in our community who was resistant to the affliction." Lady Ursa said.

“So this was the entity's doing?"

“It was a way to prey on the desperate." Mr. Mach said entering the lab. “Alex here is trying to prevent that. I think it is his penance for being an walker."

“It is." I said quietly.

“But how was it that you were able to just leave the entity?" Devon asked as he started to reclothe.

“Alex was only partially turned." My warrior bear said to the human and fox.

“When I first met you two, you had a weapon you were testing- a separator." I said to the duo.

“It partially worked- most likely because you weren't fully committed to ONE, I surmise." The fox said.

“What I used today in the park was supposed to be the revised and improved version." Mr. Mach said as a third individual entered the room we were in.

“Jessie, Devon how did the test go?" A very familiar amphibian asked.

“The revised separator worked for about 20 seconds then it didn't Claudius." Jessie said to the scientist.

“Claudius?! How did you…? Demona touched you!" I stammered.

“Experiment 21 thought she had." He countered.

“You are very, very slippery indeed." I said staring him down.

He looked good for someone on the run. His skin was a lite shade of green as were his gills with a slight shade of yellow on their tips.

“And you took my beloved Ida away from me walker." He said running past me to a nearby lab table. He picked up a grey stylus type of device and held it upright. “I don't know how you found this place or compromised them but you will not take me!"

*FLASH*

A bright light emanated from the device covering the room.

I looked at my lady bear. “Was that supposed to do something? Well surprise it didn't." I said approaching him.

“Jessie, Devon- that should have separated him from the enemy." Claudius announced recoiling in fear as I loomed over him. “It didn't what went wrong?"

*TOUCH*

“NO!" Claudius screamed as I grabbed his paw and booped him on his nose- well where his nose should have been if he weren't what he is.

“Mu ha ha ha ha!!!" I cackled as fish face freaked out thinking he had been possessed.

“Alex...." Lady Ursa said with that tone in her voice which meant to dial it down.

“Yes mistress."

“He has been liberated from the entity already Claudius." The black and white fox said trying to calm his colleague down.

“Yeah I have been for a few weeks now." I said crossing my arms behind my head.

“Oh." The amphibian said.

“So you have improved on your creation?" Mr Mach said to the scientist.

“What I have here is new and improved." Claudius said holding up the stylus.

“For more than twenty seconds?" The marble fox asked.

“Permanently." The fish guy responded. “This is how I am going to get my beloved Ida back…"

(He really was in to the that fossa that much? Did she dig him?)

“If your claims are indeed valid, this will turn the tide Claudius." Lady Ursa said.

“How does the device work?" I said skeptically.

“It is a bit too complicated for you four to comprehend, but it does." Was the answer.

“Pet?"

“This is Claudius we are talking about mistress. The scientist who wants to get his paws on Rumble to dissect him remember?" I said pulling her aside.

“That were-creature is magnificent! Its primary function is equally fascinating as well; to create more of its kind through copulation- and not just with females." Fish face said drooling over my shoulder.

“Excuse me we were talking." I said.

“Yes, of course." He said walking away to stand with Devon and Jessie. Who watched my interaction with my bear.

“But still Alex if it works we can free all those ONE took for its vessels both willingly and unwillingly."

“You mean the enemy of our enemy is our friend mistress?" I said thinking out loud. “Even if they are another enemy?"

“I also strongly suspect your work has been not just here in World Four but beyond." Devon said.

“It is." I said to the marble fox.

“We would like to offer our services as well Devon, Jessie, Claudius." My pregnant lady bear said.

Lady Ursa and I decided aid to what accounted as the resistance in World Four. We started with a massive debriefing and then received one in turn.

That evening....

“This building that you are walking though was the operations center of the canal dam behind us." The marble fox said showing us around their headquarters.

“This building is our current base of operations after we lost the pagoda." The brown haired human said staring me down.

“Sorry, but for what it is worth it does have new tenants." I said smiling.

“What type of tenants?" Jessie asked.

“Um, those loyal to the current party in power." I said.

“Continuing on over here is our strategy room." Devon said opening the door.

“Wow a table and chairs." Jessie mocked.

“Ahem, to the left of that the sleeping quarters." Devon added.

“You already saw my lab." Claudius said. “You also saw the platform. It is..."

“The central point in the nerve center where Attack Beast is docked blah blah blah. Using a series of secret exits we can be in World Four within minutes blah blah blah." Jessie said growing bored.

“Your hover vehicle, the blue coupe it is a weapon from the fallen regime right?" The fish guy said.

“So is theirs I countered."

“If I remember the Knights of Wundagore had three." The marble fox recollected.

“We were only able to find two. The third is missing and presumed lost." My warrior bear said. “So Devon how did you come into possession of Attack Beast?"

“Master Kola was a good friend of mine. He perished during the regime change. The utility vehicle is his legacy. While fleeing I happened across Mr. Mach. I recruited him and we decided to try to fight the conqueror of this world."

“You mean by destroying the entity's local headquarters, killing those inside and experimenting on me?" I said to the human and fox.

“In all fairness you were working for them; you were them." Jessie countered. “That made you our enemy."

*GRR* I said staring him down.

“Pet, your fangs are showing." The brown bear said warning me.

“I don't really approve of your methods the both of you. There were innocents in the Seven/Seven club who were turned against their will like me."

“Whether you realize it boy this is a war for our very survival!" Jessie said to me.

“Well until I came along the possessed were considered lost." The amphibian said.

“Madam knight I supposed you have traveled around the former empire what else is out there?" Devon asked.

“There is a resistance movement in World Two the survivors there are trying to take back that city from the factions trying to control it. In World Three the survivors there have fled and are looking for a place to settle down and start over and then there is us in World Five who have founded a colony outside of the city and are defending it." My she beast said.

“Hopefully it won't end up like the Grand Kingdom." Claudius added.

“Would you like to go back there?" I said mocking him. “We can make that happen."

“And World One?" Jessie Mach asked.

“Destroyed by fire." Lady Ursa said quietly.

“We can only do so much." I said to the trio. “We have established an auxiliary outpost to observe selected areas and we have a rudimentary communication network, but there are many dead spots."

“Devon, you said that you generate your own power here?" My lady bear asked.

“That is due to our resident scientist, he was able to use the flowing water in the canal to generate the power for our base."

“Too bad, he doesn't know how to repair hover vehicles." Jessie said as we arrived back at Attack Beast.

“Yeah that vehicle looks rough." I responded. “Like it had a crane dropped on it! Whoops, that was last fall."

It was Jessie's turn to growl at me which he did before we were interpreted by the four meerkats.

“HELP!!!" One of the females shouted running into the building.

“Something wrong?" My she beast said as the two females and two males ran up to her.

The four were obviously out of breath from running- from something.

“Spit it out!" Jessie said to the adult female.

“Big scary monster!!!"

“I told you that could happen where you were hiding." Jessie chided.

“But it is a walker!!!" The youngest meerkat shouted.

“Hmmm.... This is an opportunity." Claudius said.

“Indeed. Claudius is your revised separator ready?" Devon asked.

“Yes."

“How fast can you install it on Attack Beast?" Mr. Mach asked.

The human, fox and amphibian spoke amongst themselves before running back to the lab.

“So what was it that you saw?" Lady Ursa asked the youngest meerkat.

“That." The little pup said pointing out a small window at a large black something approaching the dam from the sky.

“Another raven?!" I asked.

“A very big one." My she beast said looking at the avian. “No, that is a vulture."

“It was a least twice the size of those we took down in the park." Jessie said joining us.

“Were you followed?" Devon asked the masked revenger.

“I...I… don't think so." Mr. Mach stammered.

“WERE YOU FOLLOWED?!" The marble fox shouted. “If you were we have just been compromised- again!"

“Perhaps it followed these four." I interjected.

That was when all eyes turned to the four meerkats.

“It was looking for us!" The older female said.

“What were we going to do?" The second female shouted.

“Claudius?" Jessie shouted to the fish guy who was tinkering in front of the black utility vehicle.

“It's ready."

“Very well let's do this." He said hopping into the driver's seat. The hood slid over the windshield as the vehicle prepared to roll down from its platform and out of the building.

“Jessie you are going to have to get the target to stand still in order to get a clear shot." The amphibian warned.

“WHAT?!" The masked revenger said from the cab of the utility vehicle.

“Devon, Claudius, Jessie perhaps there is another way." Lady Ursa said cracking her knuckles. “Are you familiar with a kill-box?"

The World Four rebels looked at each other.

“Little meerkats we have a task for you four as well. It will be scary and you will need to be brave…" My fierce ursine warrior said smiling.

*POUND* *POUND* *POUND*

“Little meerkats let us in!" Came a thunderous pounding on the side door.

“By us you mean you singularity right?" The second of the two females said opening the door.

Standing just outside was a very large avian a step taller than my warrior bear, grey beak, black piercing eyes broad shoulders and muscles, lots of muscles.

“Meena, Tilikum, Gluay and little Khai you have been charged with associating with a known enemy of the Quartz City we have been sent to bring you back for punishment."

“When you say we, you mean you right?" Meena the older of the two meerkat females asked.

The dark avian warrior stared down the quartet menacingly.

“But we didn't mean to associate with your enemy!" Tilikum the second female of the group said innocently.

“Yeah, we were just trying to get rid of the itching that was causing us to scratch ourselves raw." Gluay the older of the two males said while walking backward pulling Meena, Khai and Tilikum with him.

(Come on damn it, come on! Just a little further.)

ONE's vessel followed them inside the building.

“So this is where you have been hiding?" The avian said looking around.

“Actually the woods." Little Khai said. “We ran here to get away from you!"

“You failed."

“What, what is the synoptic going to do with us?" Gluay asked.

“You were seen talking to The Winter and an undesirable before our forces were slaughtered by a masked human. It was most likely a trap set up by them with you four as bait." The avian said backing the four right into the platform that Attack Beast was sitting on.

Jessie, Devon and Claudius looked at me uneasily from where they were standing on the platform. I assured them that the holo-projection the blue prototype was emanating was hiding us all from the intruder.

“So what is our punishment?" Meena asked their assailant.

“Tch!!" The minion responded.

“It's time." My fierce ursine warrior whispered.

*Glue bomb engaged.*

*AWK* The avian shouted as he was hit by a white sticky viscous material that encased his body leaving only his head visible.

“What have you done to us?!"

At that moment I pointed to Jessie indicating to him to fire Claudius' weapon.

“KAW!!!!" The avian warrior said as he hit with a golden flash that encased his form and forcibly separated him from entity.

“What have you done to me?!" He shouted.

(Alone again- naturally.)

*Lady Ursa, Mr. Winter it appears to have worked.*

“Did your hover vehicle just speak?" The fish guy asked.

“Master? Master? Where are you?" The vulture cried out desperately as Jessie exited Attack Beast and walked in front of him. “The revenger?! Where did you come from?"

“The encounter in the park earlier was bullshit. This IS the trap!" Mr. Mach shouted.

*KO!!!*

“GAH!!!"

“So what happens now?" Khai asked.

“We interrogate him." Claudius said.

“That is quite an impressive blue coupe." The marble fox said. “I particularly like the upgrades."

Jessie, Lady Ursa, myself and the meerkats hauled the vulture into Claudius' lab where the amphibian examined and interrogated him for the next hour or so.

“You four did a great job this evening." The fox said to the meerkats.

“Please Mr. Devon can we stay?" Little Khai asked. “It is not safe out there!"

“This isn't a charity." The masked revenger said to the meerkat pup.

“But we could be valuable colleagues." Meena said. “It looks like this place could use some tidying up."

“You boys also need someone to make sure you are eating right." Tilikum added.

“And I know my way around hover vehicles." Gluay added. “It looks like your weapon could use a tune-up."

“And I am good at cleaning!" Khai said excitedly.

Jessie and Devon traded glances with each other as Claudius caught up with us.

“Status?" My warrior bear asked.

“The separator worked- I was able to gain some valuable intel about Ida, she has been relocated to World One."

“That is nice, but what about what is going on here in World Four?" Devon asked.

“You can ask him yourself he isn't going anywhere!" The fish guy said. “ But I must save my beloved Ida!"

“Out of the question our operations are here in World Four." The marble fox said to the amphibian.

“Well, we were on our way to World One." I volunteered.

“We were going to try to conduct a care clinic there." My perfect person volunteered.

Fish face's eyes brightened like the sun had shined on them personally.

(Geez.)

“Can you take me please?"

“On two conditions, you obey our instructions to the letter and you abandon your pursuit of Rumble." I said sternly.

“That is a high price."

“Those are our terms Claudius." My she beast said quite sternly.

“Rumble or Ida? Rumble or Ida? Very well."

Lady Ursa and I spent the night at the rebels' hideout and departed for World One the next morning leaving Jessie, Devon and their meerkat helpers.

Day 185

Since the prototype did not have rear seats, I had to share the copilot seat while on our flight to World One.

“This hover vehicle is amazing!" My seat partner said.

(Couldn't we have just stashed him in the trunk?!)

“Yes it is." My she beast said quietly.

“So this is going to be quite a homecoming for the two of you." Claudius said.

“Yes we fled from there the day of the fall." I said solemnly.

“My return trips there showed nothing but bodies and charred ruins everywhere." My lady bear said.

*Approaching World One Lady Ursa, Mr. Winter.* Overwatch announced.

“What were you saying about charred ruins?" Claudius asked looking at the scene below.

The remains of all the chaos and destruction, the fallen hover vehicles, the bodies of those who had perished had been removed. It was all gone like someone had used a giant eraser on the surface of the planet. What remained was a large singular continuous irregular shaped structure; that seemed to have risen from the fallen world it replaced. The entity had been very busy in World One.
