The Obsidian Empire was the largest, most powerful nation in the world, but even they were no match for the rampaging barbarian horse army when they attacked.

Now besieged, the young Emperor is about to perform a poetry recital, against the wishes of his council, confident that the besieging army would disperse in a few days.

The Dominated Emperor

Like a force of nature, they swept over the Northern Mountains and into the plaints of the heartland of the Obsidian Empire. The dreaded Chief of the Horses won victory after victory against the Empire's army, each soldier in his army was as strong as ten men and his officers were as cunning as a fox. Why should the Chief not get it in his mind that Heaven favors him and that he might be an Emperor in his own right?

It was no surprise when they reached the capital and laid siege to it. But unlike the invasions of old from the wolves and the foxes, the horses were not facing the greatest Emperors or Empresses, men and women who knew how to command the sword as well as the quill with equal ease.

Instead they were facing the so-called Indomitable Emperor.

-Minister Chen, Honored Historian of the Empire of the Steppes.

It was the Seventh Year of the Reign of the Indomitable Emperor of the Obsidian Empire; myself. My close friends are permitted to refer to me by my name, Liu, but as you are not one of those, I shall refrain from using it.

You will forgive my omission of the formal script for this, I am not used to writing in it myself, having always prided myself on my skill with a brush and pen. Indeed, I am feeling just as sore as you must be reading this, but the subject matter of this manuscript is more appropriate for a vulgar writing style. Besides, I know that 'they' are reading my letters and I know they've begun learning the human formal script.

I digress. It was the eve of my twentieth birthday and to celebrate, I had called for all of my courtiers to meet in the Autumn Hall for a poetry recital, with a few exceptions: Lia, my favored vulpine concubine, was exhausted from a night of passion with me and requested to remain in my chambers.

Along with that, my brother excused himself in order to command the palace defenses. I tried to convince him that the walls have held themselves for five hundred years and that the horse barbarians laying siege to us would be gone after a few nights, but he was adamant that his services would be needed. He could be so frustrating sometimes! The Obsidian Empire had survived invasions from barbarians before, far greater in number than the horses! When the wolves from the West swarmed in, they were repelled in less than a year! When fox tribes got so close as storming the palace walls, they were defeated by our guards and their survivors enslaved.

The Chief of these horses proclaimed himself an Emperor after having made some successful raids on some starving villagers on the fringe of the Obsidian Empire, but it meant nothing! There could only be one Emperor and no matter what he said, it did not change the fact he was a filthy, backwards savage!

I so tired of hearing about them! Horses this, horses that! From the moment they crossed our borders, to every dirt farm they razed, to every petition to negotiate with them I received; each one aggravated me further! Why could the army not simply repel them and be done with it!?

I entered the Autumn Hall in my finest purple silk robes that trailed behind me, the ends of which were carried by two white-furred fox concubines, who kept their heads bowed in respect for their Emperor.

The hall was modest, as far my halls went, I would have preferred to have done the recital in the Summer Hall, but my brother, vexing as he was, threw a fit about how, since it was on the perimeter of the main palace, one stray bombard strike from the horses could collapse it. I told him repeatedly that the barbarians didn't have bombards, that all the captives and informants we had reported that at best, they had a few rickety catapults, but my brother was inconsolable.

And so, here I was, in the Autumn hall, taking my seat at a table atop a dais at the end of it while my courtiers stared on in awe, sitting at tables arranged in a U-shape. Tree branches with gilded maple leaves were carved into the walls, reaching out from my side of the hall and across to the other, making it look like I was sitting in front of a tree that was embracing the court, There were no windows, but it was kept cool by the frantic waving of six servants, a mixture of human and foxes, waving large paper fans around my dais.

A ceramic cup was placed on my low table. It had a cherry-blossom in bloom painted on it, which disappointed me as it clashed with the hall's décor. It was soon filled with the finest Southern plum wine, which helped calm my nerves.

Clearing my throat, I faced my courtiers and began:

Truth everlasting?

No, immortal lies.

Like the moon.

Like the sun.

Contradictions lay me to sleep.

It was a stupendous short poem, an excellent opener, but I'm afraid I made it a bit short for my courtier's tastes as they weren't quite sure when to applaud. Thankfully, the Minister of Protocol signaled them by clapping loudly and soon the whole hall burst into roaring applause.

Like the fox chasing the hen.

I return to my home again…

Abruptly, the Minister of Culture, a man whose tastes were impeccable, suddenly broke out into tears and started pounding on his table like a petulant child. I summoned my guards, who immediately pulled him up and pointed their blades at his throat.

“My apologies, your Eminence!" he spoke with absolute calmness, despite the tears flowing from his eyes. “I was taken in awe by your rhyming “Hen," and “Again!" It was truly...inspired!"

I blushed, breaking protocol, but his words were so kind that I could not help it. I took a sip of my wine to cover up my mistake and started over.

Like the fox chasing the hen.

I return to my home aga-

The hall rumbled violently, like an earthquake had roared through the city, and I nearly dropped my cup. When the shaking had stopped, I noticed some courtiers had left, including a few of my Generals.

The Master of Horses, who ironically, fancied himself an advisor rather than a jumped-up peasant who was exceptionally good at goading dumb animals into mating and had repeatedly warned my council about the threat of the so-called Horse Emperor; let out a girlish yelp and dashed out of the hall, nearly tripping over his formal cotton robes in the process. Apparently, though he feared not the feral horse, he feared the horse on two legs. That would make a lovely little comedic poem!

I clapped my palms and one of the foxes passed me a colorful peacock quill, which I dipped in ink and scrawled down the names of those who left. I intended to see them punished later. Much to my chagrin, I wouldn't get the chance.

The doors to the Autumn Hall were kicked open by a guard and not one of my honor guards, but a lowly conscript dressed in rusty scale-mail and wielding a simple pike, which he leaned against breathlessly as he halted before me.

“My Emperor, th-"

“Silence!" I slammed my fist onto the ground. “You dare interrupt the Imperial Recital!?"

Ignoring my Imperial wrath, or perhaps fearful of it, several more courtiers began to escape with concerning haste. Even more concerning were the screams coming from outside the Autumn Hall. But far more offensive was a heady scent that was filling my nostrils, something that smelled almost like a stable. It was only then that I noticed the air circulation in the room had grown stagnant and my servants had dropped their fans, with the only trace of them being the tip of one's fluffy tail that quickly disappeared behind one of the many servant alcoves.

“The Indomitable Emperor himself, I presume?"

A brusque voice rang out behind me. I carefully turned my head around and saw five horses, dressed in armor and wielding swords. The barbarians didn't have the common courtesy to bow before their Emperor!

I slowly turned away from them, trying to maintain some regal composure. The hall was now deserted of all civilized peoples, save for myself and the conscript who tried to warn me and he was in no state to assist, having been wrestled to the ground by two more equine barbarians, who were wrapping a collar of rope around his neck. I dismissed them with a wave of my hand, “We are not accepting audiences right now. You may kowtow and offer tribute in a week's time."

Steel pressed against my throat and I felt blood trickle down my neck. I gasped and panicked, until I realized it was not my own, but that the blade was already soaked in another's.

“I said-"

“You're going to say nothing, Dominated Emperor," another horse entered the chamber and this one made quite the impression, even for a barbarian. His banded steel armor was gilded to a stunning blonde, its pauldrons were forged in the shape of lion's heads and had emeralds for eyes. In contrast with his bright armor, the horse himself was as black as night, with a long, flowing mane that reached past his shoulders. A thin, red scar cut downwards across his right eye, which was as dark as the rest of his hair, “save for your unconditional surrender and submission."

He stopped a few feet away from my dais and I couldn't help but gulp. Fear was welling up in my gut and I was terrified that these animals might be able to sense it, so I gripped my cup, squeezing it whenever I felt particularly nervous.

“I am the Emperor of the Steppes and Beyond," the black horse bowed with mock formality, “a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The tip of one of the swords pressed into my neck and I bit my lip, “A pleasure to meet you, oh Baron of Equines."

The black horse smiled, showing off his large, square teeth. Contrary to rumors I had heard, they were pristine and pearl-colored, not rotten at all, “Such passive hostility is to be expected from the Obsidian Court! But I didn't come here for you to make conditions of my title, I came here to have you recognize me as Emperor of the Steppes and Beyond."

“We will n-"

“And if you don't, we'll make sure that the “Beyond," includes the former Obsidian Empire, reduced to a mere vassal state."

The black horse tilted his long face in the direction of the soldier, who was now stripped of all his armor and clothes. Bring him to me!"

The other two horses, both stocky and brown, shoved the human into their leader, who caught him in his arms, bringing him into a quick embrace. Putting his fingers beneath his chin, the horse forced the terrified human to look up at him in the eyes.

“Soldier, you are lucky, you know that?" the black horse nuzzled him gently with his large nose.

The soldier trembled and tried to fidget out of the stronger creature's grip.

“You stand as witness here to a monumental occasion. If you vow to speak true of everything you hear today to all who would listen, I shall reward you with wealth beyond your imagination. Imagine, your own manor, your own paradise paid for as long as you live. The most beautiful woman to share your bed with," the horse gave him a friendly nip on the ear, “all of these can be yours. But first, you must recognize me as the Emperor of the Steppes and Beyond."

“If you do, it will be treason!" I shrieked. “There can only be one Emperor in the world!"

“He will punish you for disloyalty, just as I would. Should you break your vow, I will have your entire family collared and taken to the capital to be sold. However, the Dominated Emperor's only reward for your loyalty will be poverty and suffering, of which I can tell you've lived a lifetime of at your young age," the black horse gave the human a quick slap on the shoulder, “I think you know the right choice to make."

“Emperor of the Steppes and Beyond," the human knelt, kissing the black horse on the leather boots tied to his hooves, “I shall be your witness."

“Excellent, as for-"

“I have one request, your majesty," the human nervously began looking at the horse soldiers behind him, “instead of a woman, I don't suppose..."

The black horse laughed lightly, “Once you've got your estate we'll set you up with some interested individuals from my army."

The human sighed with anxious relief, “Thank you, your majesty. I will stand witness."

Not only a traitor to his Emperor, but a traitor to his species! The Obsidian Empire would be better off without such scum!

“Now then, Dominated Emperor, will you have the same wisdom as your subject?"

“You will address me as the Indomitable Emperor!"

“Even now? Your defenses have been breached and your capital is ours. 'Indomitable' sounds like a bad joke at this point."

“I have not been dominated, even now."

“I suppose we'll have to change that..."

“I am the Indomitable Emperor of the Obsidian Empire, the greatest and only Emperor under the heavens! I will never recognize another and will never be-"

“Get those stupid robes off him."

The blades left my neck but before I could proudly declare myself victorious, I felt a blade pierce through my robes and scrape along the skin of my back, just enough to cause pain but not draw blood. Cold air, unusual for the stuffy hall, swept against me as my skin was exposed.

“How dare you! Those robes were worth more than your entire army! I'll see you-!"

My head slammed into the dais, stars exploding across my eyes. I tried to thrash but couldn't move even an inch as the two horses were holding me down, their thick muscles were like iron chains wrapped around my torso.

Something wafted across my nostrils and I wretched as I smelled rotten mushrooms inside a stable. When I opened my eyes, the slitted eye of a thick, flared horse cock was staring me down.

“Go on, Dominated Emperor," the black horse ran his calloused hands along the shaft of his cock. Droplets of pre-cum oozed out. “Submit and recognize your fellow Emperor, save yourself the embarrassment. We can still be good neighbors."

“N-no!"

“Kiss it and recognize my title. I will take my army and leave you be."

“I've already told you, no!"

“So be it."

Wet goo slicked against my cheek as the tip of his cock traced my lips. The smell was horrendous and I felt my stomach churn. I wanted to wipe my lips but I couldn't move my hands. My brain was telling me to lick my lips, to clean up the stain, but I ordered myself not to obey. I couldn't let him have the satisfaction.

Two heavy logs weighed on the back of my hips and began rubbing up against them. One of the horses pinning me down nuzzled his long snout up against my cheek as his large nostrils exhaled, forcing me to smell his rancid breath, which smelled like fermented oats. Flat teeth clamped down on my shoulder, biting down hard and I shrieked as pain shot through my back.

“Stop! Please!"

The black horse patted me on the head, scuffing up my hair as his soldiers continued grinding up against me, “You could have stopped this earlier, Dominated Emperor."

I couldn't stand it anymore. I licked my lips noisily, wiping up every drop of his pre-cum and looking up at the black horse's dark eyes hopefully. It tasted horrendous, like seawater. He grinned, showing off his teeth and shook his face.

“You'll have to do better than that."

Leaning forward, I pressed my mouth up against the tip of his cock and kissed it. He kept on grinning without saying anything. Panic swelled up in my chest and I continued kissing, even letting my tongue glide across his flared head. The black horse closed his eyes with obvious pleasure and I kept on licking, hoping that he'd relent and let me go.

“You know what I want to hear, Dominated Emperor."

Gasping, I pulled back. Tears were leaking from my eyes and I wanted to be back in bed, wishing I had never left to attend the recital. No one was coming to rescue me, clearly my brother had fled the castle and I was alone now.

“I recognize you as Emperor of the Steppes," I choked, closing my eyes and giving him a kiss of submission on the eye of his penis.

I left out the “And Beyond," part. That would have been disastrous if I had left that in and I feared the horse would not notice my trickery. It was one thing to recognize his claims to the Northern Steppes, but to recognize such as vague title as what he wanted, something that could give him a claim that he could press on the entire world, that would be unacceptable!

“Clever choice of words!" the black horse snorted and slapped me lightly on the cheek. “Not entirely foolish, I must say!"

My heart sank. He knew, of course he did. Even a dumb barbarian could see through my trick and now he was going to make me pay.

“I graciously accept the Obsidian Empire's recognition of my title," he proudly said as he leaned down and pushed his snout up against my lips. His own thick lips quivered in a type of kiss and tongue entered my mouth, running up against the roof of my mouth and my tongue. His saliva tasted of weak beer and I wanted to throw up, were it not for my fear of offending the new Emperor.

“Get off of him, soldiers."

The two horses released me but not before wiping their oozing cocks across my bare back. Ignoring the sensation of wet pre-cum on me, I cleared my throat and shifted in my seat, attempting to regain some degree of regal authority.

“Now then, please leave! Audience hours are now over!"

The Emperor of the Steppes laughed wildly as he glanced over at his soldiers, “He orders us to leave! After he rejected my initial offer! How cute!"

“B-b-but you said!" I stammered like a terrified child.

“No, Dominated Emperor, I gave you the opportunity to pay homage to me and save yourself the embarrassment, but you refused," the horse Emperor began circling me slowly, keeping his brown eyes locked on my naked body the whole time, like a predator circling its prey. I began to feel very vulnerable and afraid, more than ever.

“I think we need to teach you a lesson in humility, don't we?"

I sprang from my seat and darted back towards the exit, running straight into the rock-hard chest of one of the soldiers. His arms reached out to grab me, but I ducked and jumped to the right, where the other one was waiting to catch me with open arms. Refusing his embrace, I hopped back and into something solid.

Burly arms caught me in a vice and I hit the floor with a massive weight pinning me down. Hot breath shot against my neck and I looked over to see several thick locks of black hair dangling beside my face.

“Just relax, Dominated Emperor..." the horse Emperor cooed as he nuzzled the back of my neck, which sent a jolt though my body and made me go limp, “...you'll get used to it in time and learn to enjoy it."

“Humans love horse cock," one of the soldiers laughed, still stroking his black log.

Something moist and hard peeked between my rear, I knew what it was immediately. The Emperor's cock throbbed as he circled its flared head along my rim. There was no way it would fit in there, no way at all!

My vision went white as pain screamed through my nerves. I felt the horse's heavy weight lean on my back as his cock broke through my defenses. I felt every inch of his cock creep along my insides and new spasms of pain with each inch he took.

One of the soldiers slapped me across the face lightly with his cock, a droplet of cum smearing across my cheek, “Look at him, he loves it!"

I grit my teeth as his cock slid out slowly. The Emperor whickered pleasurably and the soldiers snickered, a quick warning that I did not heed as the horse's cock suddenly slammed against my insides. I tried not to scream, but the pain was too much and lowered my head, sobbing pitifully.

“Such a cute little human," the Emperor cooed as he licked the side of my cheek, “what a fine pet you'd make."

He continued pounding furiously, the pain never abating for a second. Between my pained sobs, I would occasionally gasp, which the soldiers had a great laugh at as they stroked their cocks, the heads slicked with pre-cum.

One of the soldiers started to grunt, gritting his teeth and the other followed. I knew what was coming and closed my eyes, looking away.

The Emperor suddenly stopped his assault and grabbed me by the chin, forcing me to open my mouth.

“If you don't keep your mouth open, I'll have you fucked by my entire army. Every last soldiers," he whispered into my ear and let go of my chin.

I didn't want to be disgraced in such a way but I had no choice in order to avoid a bigger dishonor.

“Soldiers, give the Obsidian Emperor his tribute!"

I saw a white rope shoot towards me and I closed my eyes. A thick, salty wave hit me in the back of the throat and I couldn't help but gag as the next few spurts hit me in the forehead and my hair. Remembering the horse Emperor's threats, I eagerly opened my mouth and caught the next few jets, which quickly filled up my mouth.

“Swallow, human," the Emperor held my mouth shut, some semen dripping over his hand, “or else I will consider it a grave insult."

I tried to pretend it was melted butter and swallowed, nearly throwing up as the first gulp went down. A small mouthful escaped my mouth and I desperately downed the rest, fearing the equine's wrath if I were to let too much escape.

“The most powerful human in the world, reduced to an obedient slave!" the Emperor remarked with a whinny. He ran his hand across my semen-slicked hair. “Don't you love this, Dominated Emperor? I bet you wish you were born in my harem, a servile toy begging for horse cock!"

He suddenly slammed his cock deep into my anus and I shrieked, the horse pulling back my hair.

“I asked you a question, human!"

“I-I love this," I gasped.

“And you wish you were my concubine?"

“I-I-I..." I sobbed as a drop of sperm dripped down my nose. I didn't want to say it, it wasn't true, but I was afraid, deeply afraid, “...I wish I was born your slave!"

The Emperor shuddered and I felt another jet of cum shoot out, this time into my anus. At this point, after all the pain and shame, it was a relief knowing that everything was over and so I barely felt it.

The horse collapsed onto me, nearly crushing my lungs, and I felt the sweat on his short fur drip onto my naked body. He panted, whispering about how good I was and other such humilities.

“Emperor!" a voice cried out and the weight on my back was suddenly lifted. I yelped as the flared head of his cock escaped past my rear.

Another soldier was here, a gray horse with tiny white spots, bowed deeply, “Reinforcements have been spotted an hour away, ten thousand strong!"

“Ten thousand!?" the Equine Emperor pushed me aside and I rolled on the ground.

My brother! I thought. I could have kissed that man, I knew he wouldn't abandon me!

“Give word to the Lieutenant, we retreat at once!" the Emperor commanded with deep authority.

I sighed with relief, a big mistake.

The Emperor's nostrils flared as he snorted, staring down at me with contempt, “Oh, do you think you're getting off easy now? Think you can go back to your poetry recital like nothing happened?"

Quivering, I shook my head nervously.

“That's right," the Emperor waved towards the soldiers, “shackle him!"

Manacles were suddenly wrapped around my wrists and a short chain rattled as I tried to free myself. One of the horses clapped an iron collar around my neck while the other attached a drag-chain around the collar. I could soon do very little but squirm as the soldiers lead me through my palace.

Everything was a blur, all except for the red-hot shame on my face as I was led around nude and still wet with semen. Occasionally I'd pass a horse and I'd get a jeering comment or a slap on the rear, which was bad enough, but it was when I saw my own kind, whether they were currently in the midst of being disgraced by one of the equines or were peering out from a hiding place, eyes wide in shock at how low their Emperor had fallen.

“W-where are we going?" I spoke to the soldiers, who were merely towering silhouettes in front of me in the dim palace lighting.

“Taking you back to the capital," one of them said, peering back with a sneer.

“To serve as a special peace envoy," the other one purred and I shuddered.

“Don't look so glum! You said it yourself, you loved it!"

We were soon in the courtyard, me hastened by the horse constantly yanking on my drag-chain. A cage on a wagon waited, already filled with several humans and foxes. The door was pulled open and I was tossed inside, chains and all.

I could barely raise my head to look at my subjects. They were permitted to keep their clothes and none were wearing chains except for me. I was the lowliest of the low, even more disgraced than the vulpine slaves.

Lia was there in the corner, trying to avoid my gaze. Tears filled the corners of my eyes and I rushed over, nearly tripping over a sobbing noblewoman and pressed my face against her chest. The fine, silky furs were enough to make me forget what had just happened for a second, but only a mere second.

Feral horse hoofs clicking against the stone courtyard, followed by the rattling of the wagon as it began to move took me back to reality.

I was now the Dominated Emperor.
