"I don't trust that man," Gin said as soon as he was out of earshot.

The next day, I spotted Suicune near some windmills by the sea. He seemed a bit more antsy, if not nervous, than usual. In fact he didn't notice me, even after I sat on the ledge. It seemed like he wanted to approach me, but was paranoid about Eusine showing up again. I wondered if the man had some sort of tracking device.

"Hey, Suicune," I called out. Just as I suspected, he actually jumped from the sound of my voice. Wordlessly, he focused on me. "Is there something wrong?" I knew what his problem was, but I wanted to be sure.

"That human... Is he here?" The Aurora pokémon spoke with an uncharacteristic nervousness in his tone. Now that my suspicions were confirmed, I could try to solve the problem.

"Eusine isn't a bad guy, at least I'm sure he isn't. He really admires you, just like I do." Surprise crossed his features when he heard my confession.

"Really?"

"It's true. He's just a big fan. You must have done something incredible for him. Do you remember saving anyone from anything?" He closed his eyes in thought.

"Well... I did save a brown-haired child from a waterfall. The bridge he had been walking across broke in an accident between two other pokémon. I felt bad for him and carried him to a nearby town." At that point Raikou came out of his poké ball, on all fours this time, and sat next to me.

"Yup. My bro here is keen like that," he said. He then nodded at him, prompting Suicune to develop a more attentive stance.

"Could you meet me at the northernmost point of the region tonight?" he asked. Without waiting for a response, he ran north, leaving me wondering what he meant. Raikou snickered at my confusion and completely guffawed when Eusine showed up, out of breath yet again.

"...Okay," he spoke, completely disregarding the yellow legendary, "I think I figured out where Suicune is heading."

"Oh, have you now?" Raikou asked him, still grinning.

"Yes. It's going northward, following the wind." He pulled out a compass and looked to the north before looking at me. "I think I understand now. Suicune only seems to have eyes for you, it seems. It would be pointless for me to continue, I realize."

"Hey, don't beat yourself up over it," Raikou said. He shifted to his two-legged form and put a claw on Eusine's left shoulder. "That's just the way love works."

"Love?"

"Isn't it obvious? They're meant for each other. Tell you what... since you now understand the situation, I'll give you a lift and let you see my brother in all his glory. He owes you that much." I couldn't help but smile at how cheerful Raikou was about all this, even if I knew I would be in for some mischief later on.

That night, Raikou gave us a lift to the hill overlooking most of the region. As we dismounted, I heard a loud thump and saw that Entei had arrived with Suicune in tow. Both of them were in their two-legged forms, with the former holding on to the latter. "I'm not surprised he dropped," Raikou commented, looking at him, "but I am a bit disappointed. I was looking forward to having some fun with him."

"I do think about battling, as well. It's just too bad I can't combine the two."
