The Golden Armor and the Returning Darkness
Hello guys, how are you doing?
First, I'm terribly sorry for taking so long to upload something new, but I've been really, really busy these days >.< (heck, I consider being able to finish this one is already a feat)
I know this upload is supposed to be a new chapter for A trainer's story, but recently, I've added another chapter to Life with a Furry, so might as well give this series some update, just to let you know I haven't dropped it yet.
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon or any related materials, except my original characters. This story contains sexually act between two males as well as human/digimon. Don't read if you find the content disturbing or offensive, thank you.
Enjoy!
When people sleep, they dream, and everyone obviously desire the most beautiful dreams possible, ones that will fulfill their widest desire and fantasies beyond any limits. However, there's a thing called 'nightmare', and unfortunately, we have to deal with it sometimes. Still, is it normal for someone to be tortured by the same nightmare over and over again?
As Sam slowly lay down on the soft mattress, he knew tonight, he'd dream again, and the young man began to think of a certain blue dragon. His toned but slender form, his brilliant crimson eyes, his dazzling silver hair, his mesmerizing smile, his perfectly rounded backside, complemented by an alluring swinging tail.
At least that was what Sam had hoped for, but as he closed his eyes; his slumber was terrorized by that crazy, vivid nightmare again.
Sam felt like he was stuck in a whirlwind. Hundreds of wind blades struck the human, sending immeasurable coldness and pain through his body, but when Sam thought he couldn't bear it anymore, everything came to an absurd stop, as if time had just been frozen. He would then find his vision again, only to note he'd been transported to…Sam wasn't sure what he should call this place.
The DigiDestined knew he was in the Digital World (don't ask why, he just knew), but this wasn't the beautiful meadow he'd arrived in when first being here, nor was it the Grand Canyon- resembling ravine he' recently discovered. The ground was the definition of an absolute barren wasteland, filled with rocks and what looked like shattered glass. The sky was completely devoid of light, just a mass of darkness with blood-red cloud floating in the hazy grey air that reminded Sam of tomato soup mixed with cement. If the underworld or the abyss had existed, Sam was pretty sure they'd have looked like this.
Like an irritating déjà vu, Sam, once again, found himself standing near the edge of a seemingly endless cliff, from which emerged a presence - a churning figure of smoke and darkness, so vast and shadowy that its only visible part was its eyes, which shone like a pair of headlights. The entity, whatever it was, loomed over the chasm, radiating such pure malevolence that Sam, despite well-aware that he was dreaming, wanted to run away for his dear life. He couldn't, of course, as his feet seemed to be glued to the ground.
Instead, he forced himself to look at the entity, just as it began to speak in a voice as soft as a requiem. Even worse, the words seemed to be sucked into its face like a backward recording. In fact, everything, including Sam's feeble life force, seemed to be drawn to that entity, being so massive that it emitted a gravitational field of its own, "So…this is the new edition to the wretched DigiDestined, huh? You certainly don't look too impressive, but I know you must be chosen for a reason. Tell me, little human, will you try get in my way, or will you not?"
As scared as Sam was, he was absolutely pissed off by the figure's unmistakably contemptuous and patronizing voice. Angrily and defiantly, Sam responded, "Oh yeah? Said the guy who doesn't have guts to tell me his name! You want to know what this little human can do, big boy? Why don't you show yourself and we'll find out!"
The entity chuckled, "I know you humans are foolish, but rarely do I find one so eager to die. You want to know who I am. I am the Night, your worst possible nightmare, with a capital N. I am the one who will, one day, conquer all worlds, and I shall spread the terror of this Dark Area through all surfaces under the light."
Sam frowned, "Yeah yeah, I'm already having a nightmare, so what else have you got?"
"Oh, you think you're funny huh?" the entity said dryly, "You can pretend to look tough, but I know you're intimidated, little human. I can smell your fear in the air, but I assure you this is nothing compared to what you'll feel when I'm done with your precious Flamedramon."
Sam's mouth went dry. What he'd just heard sounded exactly like a typical empty threat from one of those cheap, over-dramatic action movies, yet something told the human this shadow monstrosity wasn't lying to him, not when it even knew about Blaze, his digimon partner.
Fortunately, since the day he arrived in the digital world, Sam'd gone through intense training to strengthen his mental durability, as the human knew he could randomly run into a creepy and hostile wild digimon anytime. Sam never got scared easily, and even if he did, the DigiDestined knew how to keep his emotions at bay. Swallowing the knot in his throat, Sam tried to look directly at the gigantic creature's eyes, speaking aloud with all the courage he could muster, "Look pal, I don't know what's your problems, nor this whole 'dark area' crap, but let me make it clear: I'm not scared of you! Night after night you sneak into my dream and try to play your little mind game, but all you've ever done is standing there like a stupid curtain. You waited until now to speak, yet you still don't have the balls to come out here and face me. You call yourself what? Night? My worst nightmare? Hah, you're just a coward!"
The monstrous shadow went silent, and for one second, Sam thought his defiant snap had done its job, but to his disappointment, the entity burst out laughing, its voice brimmed with bemusement, but if anything, it only sounded creepier, like a mountain cracking in half, "Interesting. Among the DigiDestined I've encountered, you're one of the few that don't get intimidated by my presence. Then again, everyone can be heroes, but it's not until they face death that they'll reveal their real selves…Oh, where're my manners, why should I keep the little hero waiting? Savor the last moment of your life, human, for now, I shall deal you death."
Sam gulped. This had to be another empty threat. After all, he was sleeping, and how could someone actually get killed in their dream? The only advantage this shadow monster could possibly exploit was some sort of mental disease, but last Sam checked, he was perfectly and completely sane, as far as a normal person went. Then again, why was his skin tingling so much? Could it be an instinctive warning of potential danger ahead?
"You're wondering how I can kill you in your sleep, huh?" the entity said, as if reading Sam's mind, "It actually isn't that complicated. True, I can't do anything to harm your physical body, but your spirit is still trapped my realm, and I'll have no problem destroying it." The monster then chuckled, so maliciously that it sent chills down Sam's spine, "And without a soul to govern it, your body is but an empty shell. You'll never wake up again, human."
"More bluffs?" Sam clenched his jaw, "I'm not buying."
"You don't get it, do you? Whether you believe it or not, your fate is already set. Originally, I just wanted to warn you out of this, but I changed my mind. You've proven yourself to be quite a meddlesome foe, so I can't let you grow and interfere with my plans. Be honored, little human." said the shadow monstrosity, "Even the bravest DigiDestined have never been worthy of my attention, but you, and you alone, will be destroyed by the mighty Nyxmon!"
Nyxmon…The name clinched in Sam's head. Blaze had mentioned it before whilst informing him about the digital world - the primordial digimon that had once tried to take over this realm and corrupt the inhabitants; a being so powerful and evil that the digimon couldn't defeat it without the DigiDestined's help.
Sam's feet trembled and threatened to collapse. If this monster in front of him was truly Nyxmon, then two things had become clear: One, it was indeed a psycho, just like how Blaze'd described; and two, it was serious about killing him. The DigiDestined didn't know how someone else would react in this situation, but to him, getting destroyed by the enemy's boss didn't seem like much of an honor.
"That's it! Cower in fear, human, for that's your nature!" Nyxmon spread its arms, sneering in triumph. There was a good minute of silence, until Sam almost went deaf from an ear-splitting roar. Struggling to ignore the drumming ache in his skull, Sam brought his head up, only to have his eyes widened in shock. From the massive digimon's body emerged numerous lesser beings that Sam had trouble identifying, until they took the form of creepy, nightmarish bats with absolutely no visible details but their blood-red eyes which contained nothing but malevolence and an endless thirst for carnage.
"Aren't my children wonderful? You tasteless humans keep regard them as monsters, but you just can't look behind your own little eyes." Nyxmon said self-righteously, "As I was saying, they're my children, so of course I can't leave them starved. Luckily, I just happen to have their meal right here. Be proud, for once they finish devouring you, my children will return to my body, and you'll become a part of me. After getting rid of you, I'll brainwash your partner and make him my ultimate killing machine. You don't even know, human, about how much potential that Flamedramon really has, but don't worry, I'll take your place and bring out the best of him."
When someone got the upper hand in the battle, they tended to let their ego take over and said stupid things that really should have never been said. By the time Nyxmon was done ranting about Sam's epic demise, the DigiDestined could have finished writing his own obituary or making a list of one thousand other ways he preferred to pass, but when the digimon mentioned Blaze, Sam felt like a crystal ball had just shattered in his stomach. Blaze, his beloved Flamedramon, became his monster's underling and did the dirty work for it?
Anger grew hot in Sam's gut. That's right, this wicked being was Nyxmon. The evil that had once threatened this world and caused other digimon to suffer…and now, it was about to kill him and capture Blaze at that's expense.
Screw it! I won't play by your rules! Sam thought. If I'm really going to die, I'll die standing, with all my dignity, and even if Blaze isn't here to witness it, I know he'll see through your cheap lies, because he understands me more than anyone else.
Uncontrollable emotions fueled Sam's body and helped steadying his legs. Even though he couldn't run away (which Sam didn't bother trying), the DigiDestined straightened himself as the demonic bats' reflection grew bigger in his irises.
"Forgive me, Blaze. I want to spend my whole life with you, but it seems like…I'll never be able to see you again." Sam muttered. The flock of bat was approaching rapidly, and in matters of seconds, Sam would be eaten, but the human's eyes were unyieldingly open. He would neither grovel before Nyxmon, nor hide like a coward.
An inevitable end in 1, 2, 3…seconds.
…
Later, Sam still had trouble recalling his near-death experience, for everything happened so fast that his brain barely had time to register any detail.
Inches…that was how close Sam'd been to his demise. The DigiDestined had already prepared himself for the moment things went down ugly, but he certainly wasn't ready for the sudden light coming out from his left hand. The next thing Sam knew, the shining Digivice was in his palm, resting reassuringly amidst his closed fingers.
Like a dawning new day, the Digivice cast its light to every direction and completely illuminated the dark, lifeless abyss. Sam felt an indescribably pleasant glow rise in his chest as the radiance seemed to set his skin afire, filling every fiber in his body with energy. Sam had never experience such a delightful sensation, except when he was in Blaze's comforting embrace.
The same thing couldn't be said for Nyxmon and its 'children'. As the evil digimon came in contact with the light, it let loose a terrible shriek and began to retreat. The lesser bats, however, didn't have that fortune, being too close to Sam. Without time to even make a sound, the nightmare creatures immediately perished the moment they were exposed to the golden brightness, leaving absolutely no traces behind.
"This light…it can't be!!!" Nyxmon wailed in utmost revulsion as its body subsided back into the cliff, "You're lucky today, human, but don't even think you've seen the last of me. I'll be back, and when I am, you'll regret the day you decided to oppose me!"
…
Sam's eyes popped open, his hand absurdly reaching for the ceiling…the ceiling of his room. Sweating profusely, the human took several deep breaths and tried to compose himself.
"I'm in my room, I'm in my room!" Sam muttered like a lunatic and gingerly, cautiously ran his eyes at surroundings. The quietness was eerie, but the human could stay reassured as he, through the nightstand lamp's dim light, caught the familiar sights of his territory. He was home, in the human world…no darn abyss, no crimson-clouded sky, no glass-encrusted ground and most importantly: No Nyxmon and its nasty little bats. Safety welcomed Sam and blessed the DigiDestined with relief, enough for him to realize his whole body was irritatingly sticky and reeking with sweat. Next discovery: He was actually holding his Digivice in his left hand. Man, dreams could be lucid, but it certainly needn't go this far, did it?
Sighing, the human stood up and strode toward his bathroom. Perhaps a refreshing shower would help him calm down (although Sam doubted he'd be able to sleep again). As the cold water ran along his skin, Sam, with his eyes shut tightly, began to recall his most recent nightmare - the craziest one he'd had so far. And once again, that name was brought up in his head - Nyxmon.
Until this day, the story Blaze'd told him still made Sam shudder every now and then, and the human needed no first-hand experience on how violent, remorseless and sadistic Nyxmon could be. According to Blaze, however, wasn't the evil defeated three years ago? Why did it reemerge now and terrorize Sam's dreams? Could that be a sight of its revival?
Moreover, Sam remembered the golden light, and how it'd affected Nyxmon. The Digidestined had no idea what was that radiance, but the enemy of his enemy couldn't possibly turn out so bad.
"Arggg!!!" Sam scowled in frustration. The mental, self-asked questions were driving him nuts. Even worse, he couldn't confine in anyone…well may be there's one, but Sam would have to wait until tomorrow to see that person.
The human exhaled tiredly. It's been nearly a week, and Sam almost forgot how much he missed Blaze. The two had confessed their feelings for each other, followed by a steamy, fervent consummation, but that was it. That night when he and Blaze first mated, Sam was so sexually and mentally satisfied that he even contemplated staying permanently in the digital world.
Sam's rationality, however, didn't quite agree with that idea, as it reminded the human he still held a connection and responsibility for his world. Nonetheless, those two corny reasons were nothing compared to Sam's last and most important one. In his current stage, the human realized he was completely worthless. He hadn't finished his studying. He hadn't had a job. He had pretty much achieved nothing, and from Sam's POV, that didn't make him suitable for Blaze. Using simple vocabulary, people called it a 'mismatch' - a ravishingly handsome and courageous Flamedramon, Blaze, getting stuck with a pathetically weak and useless human, Sam himself.
The sound of that made Sam appear like a teenager with serious inferiority complex, but he never bothered to vindicate himself. Instead, Sam let his action speak and used real-life results as proofs to his words. It turned out, his effort paid off just fine. He became more social, going out with friends more frequently (even if they never considered him 'friend' or trash-talked behind his back). He smiled a lot more and opened himself to others. He studied with renewed determination for only one goal: to build himself a better future. He found a part time job to earn money and experience. Long story short, Sam had changed for the better, and his sole motivation was a certain anthropomorphic blue dragon.
Even so, everything in life came with a price, and Sam's was so great that it'd almost ventured to the verge of being unbearable. As part of his arrangement, each week, Sam would have to spend six days in his world, leaving him with only Sunday for Blaze.
Did that decision affect Sam? Of course it did a great number on him! Every time he thought about Blaze, Sam would struggle to fence off the guilt that was eating away at him. The poor Flamedramon had suffered so much. Harboring a crush on his ex-partner yet unable to confess. With his feelings buried deep inside, Blaze still had to risk his life, engaging in countless deadly battles for the sake of the digital world. Like a miracle, the digimon managed to survive the war; so naturally, he deserved a long, carefree life in his then-peaceful world, right? But no, the dragon just had to keep getting hurt! Blaze's ex-partner (who Sam regarded as a total asshole), for some reasons, absurdly severed their contract, consequently trapping the Flamedramon in his own Digivice. And now, just when Blaze thought he'd finally found his other half, that very 'other half' suggested to keep a distance between them.
At least there was a silver lining to their separation. During the first duration, something had happened to Sam's feelings. It'd grown so painfully intense, as if he was forced to withdraw from a life-saving medication, but at the same time, the DigiDestined was able to reconfirm whether his affection for Blaze was sincere or not. Another advantage of that six-day separation was to bottle up their emotions, desire and urges, only to unleash them all at once, and boy, Sam loved that stimulation! First time they'd been together since the six-one schedule was everything the human had imagined it would be: Passionate, steamy and extremely satisfying! In that moment when Blaze's warmth was delivered into him, Sam's dazed mind became drowned in a fulfilling sensation, not just because his needs were sated, but also from being so close with his mate once again.
"Aw man!" Sam grunted as he noticed the bulge at his crotch. The human regretted letting his mind venture so far into the past, now he had to deal with an aching boner. He couldn't relieve himself, however. The DigiDestined had promised himself that he would save all the fun for Blaze, and it was also a challenge to his willpower (Sam was in the prime of his life, and in such times, some 'specific' impulse could end up more agonizing than thirst or hunger if he left it untouched for too long). Fortunately, tomorrow happened to be the day Sam's fixed time in the human expired. He hated to keep either Blaze or himself waiting.
(The next day)
Sam was so looking forward to return to the digital world that he barely paid attention to anything. Morning, breakfast, college, classmates, his hasty lunch consisting of a ham sandwich and a coke…everything seemed to happen in a blur, and soon enough, Sam found himself standing in front of his desk, face-to-face with his PC.
As Sam prepared himself for the impact, the DigiDestined's memory automatically reverted to his first experience with the Digital Gate, which was anything but pleasant. Over time, Sam eventually got used to it, and heck, the portal even reminded him of the iconic 'wherever door' from the old, popular manga Doreamon - it could literally take you anywhere in the digital world, the only difference being that you had absolutely no idea where you'd land. There was a time Sam accidentally found himself stuck in an ancient tomb full of deadly booby traps and nasty little bugs. Fortunately for the human, his Digivice had a function of teleporting Blaze to wherever he was, but even with the digimon's help, they still had trouble escaping the dangerous burial ground, barely making it alive.
Blaze…just the name alone made Sam feel warm in his chest, until he realized time was being wasted as he spaced out. Pointing his Digivice at the computer screen, Sam announced the command, "Digital gate, open!"
(The digital world)
As the gateway digitalized his body and dragged him into the virtual realm, Sam mentally wished that he'd reappear at somewhere nice. Last time had been a disaster and a mood killer, but luck was on the DigiDestined's side now.
The scent of salt water poured into Sam's nostril as he recovered from the roller-coaster-like pull of the digital gate. Sam held back a gasp as he was met with the scenery of a breathtakingly beautiful beach. Yellow sunlight illuminated the surface, so calm that Sam could even see through the jade-green water.
A pair of blue arm gently wrapped around Sam's waist, ending his time for admiring nature. His face lifted into a smile when he felt a familiarly warm and slender form brush against his, bringing him a pleasant and peaceful sensation, "Hello there."
Even without seeing, Sam could tell the digimon embracing him was smiling, and honestly, he'd expected some sort of cheesy pick-up lines from Blaze, but seconds later, the human found himself being spun around violently. Sam gave a token gasp of protest, which was immediately muffled as his lips were connected to a bigger, albeit equally soft pair.
The DigiDestined moaned into the kiss as it was now full of yearning and passion. His lover's reaction made Blaze growl hungrily and push his greedy tongue even deeper into Sam's mouth, wrestling with the human's and exchanging their saliva. Overflowed by his desire, Sam began to let loose a series of mewl and whimpers, his back arching wantonly, trying to take in more of Blaze's body warmth. They made out like there was no tomorrow, until both ran out of air and parted.
"Bad dragon!" Sam chided breathlessly, "Slow down a bit, will ya?"
"No can't do~" Blaze smirked; his eyes clouded with primal lust. Sam winced as the Flamedramon's sneaky hand gave his rump a firm squeeze, and before long, his belt was undone and casually tossed aside - the same fate which the rest of his clothes quickly suffered.
…
Warmth and contentment washed over Sam as he lay on the shore, feeling the sand's pleasant heat spread over his naked body, which was completely enclosed in Blaze's bigger form; the digimon spooning him lovingly. The human was tied to his lover and he knew they'd be stuck for a while, so he decided to make the most of that time, cuddling with Blaze and enjoying the Flamedramon's comforting presence.
As lecherous as it sounded, Sam really looked forward to sex with Blaze. Sure, it was a matter of letting off steam, but something about being so intimate with the Flamedramon put Sam at ease. Before Blaze, the human had fantasized a few guys, but ironically, given his attraction for males, Sam had actually been quite uptight when it came to sex, so in the end, he'd never crossed the line (heck, he didn't even like being naked in from of others). With Blaze, things were different, or shall he say, natural: The kiss, the hug, the sex, the pain and the pleasure, all seemed to happen by instinct. More importantly, Sam knew they both enjoyed it.
After a while, Sam felt his opening give slightly and Blaze's knot shrank considerably. Carefully not to hurt himself, the human tugged softly and let his lover's member slip out of him. Like a dam unplugged, a generous amount of thick, warm goo started seeping out from Sam's entrance, so much that it made him chuckle, "Boy, you really are pent-up, huh?"
"You have no ideas!" Blaze purred; satisfaction drenched his voice.
"Actually, I think you just let me have a lot of them." Sam teased as he felt torrents of sticky lukewarm trickle down his thighs, "though I don't mind having some more." he quickly added when noticing the faint but visible red tint on Blaze's face.
"Things still going well in your world?" still blushing, Blaze tried to change the subject.
Sam shrugged matter-of-factly, "You know, school and other stuffs of an average college guy…Oh, and I also got a part-time job."
"That's great." Blaze noted.
"What about you? Am I missing out anything here?" Sam returned the question.
"Well…" the digimon's hesitation showed up in merely a split second, but it was enough for Sam to notice. The DigiDestined frowned, his arms folded in front of his chest - a pose strongly resembled a father discovering his son's poor exam results, "What are you hiding?"
"N-nothing!"
"Don't make me repeat myself, Blaze." Sam demanded, looking intently at his digital partner.
"I'm not sure. I really don't want to worry you." Blaze reasoned unreasonably, of which Sam immediately took advantage, "C'mon, you should've known me better. Keeping everything to yourself will only worry me more. Tell me, what's bothering you, and we might come up with a solution together."
The Flamedramon dropped his head and stared at the ground. Just like his partner said, Blaze indeed knew Sam better, and he also realized once the human was interested in something, even the end of the world would be insufficient to stop him from sating his curiosity. With a deep breath, Blaze reluctantly gave the DigiDestined his desired information, "The digital world is under a great disturbance. I've heard rumors about various areas, along with the inhabitants, suddenly disappearing. Nobody knows the cause, but I suspect that their data has been deleted or absorbed, the question is 'when' and 'who'."
"That's…scary." Sam commented. The DigiDestined had yet to know all affairs in this virtual world, but he understood why Blaze was so worried. With that kind of abnormal events, who wouldn't?
"Indeed," Blaze nodded gravely, "But I'm more concerned about another thing. During the last few days, I've been running to a lot of virus-type digimon," He added a quick explanation, noticing the puzzled look on Sam's face, "I know, virus-type doesn't necessarily mean evil, but these new guys are different. They're extremely vicious and aggressive. More importantly, they're all either fiend or fallen angel digimon. I think they might've come from Dark Area."
The name 'Dark Area' hit Sam with a truck's force. He was sure he'd heard it somewhere before, and even though it certainly meant no good, the human was somehow intrigued to know more about the location, "What exactly is Dark Area?"
"A distorted dimension. An abyss. The underworld, as humans put it. Again, according to rumors, Dark Area is a chaotic realm created by our 'God', the host computer Yggdrasil, to imprison wicked digimon. Its location remains a mystery, and even if it didn't, no one would dare to enter the realm, for Dark Area hosts many powerful and evil digimon."
"You said rumors? Then who was spreading them?" Sam inquired, knitting his eyebrows.
"Nyxmon," Blaze revealed grimly, "You remember the war three years ago? Back then, we had no knowledge of Dark Area, so when Nyxmon and its army appeared, we didn't know what we were fighting against. Dark Area's digimon are naturally more fierce and bloodthirsty than us. Moreover, they can draw evil energy from the realm's infinite supply, making them too powerful for us to fight alone, and our only salvation was borrowing you humans' immense spiritual energy to balance the scales."
"But you won, right?" Sam managed; his mouth tasting like mud. Now the DigiDestined finally remembered whom he'd heard the term 'Dark Area' from.
"We did, but I'm not sure if Nyxmon was actually deleted. Some said it was merely driven back and sealed in Dark Area. I thought we'd finally achieved piece, but after three years, those evil just have to rise again." The Flamedramon said bitterly, "Something is stirring in Dark Area, and I have a hunch I know what it is."
"Nyxmon." Sam concluded, swallowing. To say the realization imitated him was an understatement, but still, by no means did fear equal running away, not if the human could help it, "So the time for me to fulfill my duty as a DigiDestined has come!"
"No!" Blaze objected almost instantly, "This is a problem of the Digital World, and it has nothing to do with you. Don't get involved!"
For a moment, Sam thought Blaze would agree with him, and together they shall overcome this new crisis, so no words could describe how disappointed he was when the Flamedramon promptly declined his offer. Still, Sam managed to keep his composure intact, concealing his vexation under a fake, challenging smile, "On the contrary, I have everything to do with this problem. A digimon is my lover, I am a DigiDestined. Are you telling me to chicken out or what?"
"I'm not telling you to do anything, but you should know this is for your own good." Blaze nearly shouted, "Last time, the DigiDestined were able to leave this world unscathed because Nyxmon underestimated their potential and paid them no attention, but it won't make the same mistake twice. When the beast revives, it'll wage war against this world, and to ensure its victory, Nyxmon will seek to destroy our power source, which is you. If that happens, I don't know if I can even keep you safe."
"But I don't need you to keep me safe!" Sam reciprocated, showing his stubborn side, "I'm your partner, Blaze! Whatever chose me, it chose me for a reason. Everyone bears an inevitable responsibility on their shoulders, and mine is to defend this world, with you, why can't you understand that!"
The two continued to go at each other, neither was willing to stand down. From the way things look, their heated quarrel would take a while to cool down.
(Meanwhile, somewhere in Dark Area)
For any digimon dwelling in a harsh and unforgiving place like Dark Area, cruelty and strength were two decisive factors when it came to life and death. True to the saying 'survival for the fittest'; fights, either for territory or the sake of self-improvement; never ceased and bloodshed was a familiar sight in this abyssal realm. Eventually, a handful of digimon emerged on top of the food chain, one of them being GranDracmon. Boasting such might that even the fabled Seven Demon Lords couldn't interfere with him; the vampire lord digimon was perhaps one of the most feared beings in Dark Area.
But today, the proud beast was on his knees, in his own castle, for in front of him stood another beast, vastly more powerful and sinister. The shadow cast by that digimon, or rather, the digimon itself, radiated overwhelming pressure that even GranDracmon found difficult to bear.
"My lord, I've located the DigiDestined you want to find." GranDracmon reported; the digimon's gentlemanly demeanor greatly contrasted his fearsome, fiendish appearance.
"Well done." Nyxmon complimented dryly.
"My lord, please forgive my insolence, but there's something I'd like to ask."
"Go ahead."
"From what I've seen, you never really care about worthless humans, so why now?" GranDracmon ventured.
The shadow went silent, but that only increased the tremendous tension already presented on the air. Still, GranDracmon eventually received his answer as Nyxmon slowly spoke up, "Worthless, huh? I used to think the same way, and look at what happened? My quest to conquer this world was foiled. For a weak race, humans surprise me with the amount of spiritual power they possess. If I am to rule again, I have to make sure they won't get in the way."
GranDracmon was unsatisfied with that answer, "But even so, why are you concerned about this particular one so much, my lord?"
"Do you know why the digimon won the last war, but only sealed me back into Dark Area?" Nyxmon's irrelevant question annoyed GranDracmon, but the vampire lord digimon managed to stay cool, "Please enlighten me, my lord."
"Because they lack the ability. I'm primordial, I was, and have always been here, ever since this world first came into existence, therefore, I'm eternal. Nothing can truly destroy me…Nothing, except the Light of Ulforce."
"Light of Ulforce?"
"A source of energy capable of eradicating any creature from Dark Area. Since it never showed up during the last war, I thought the Light was a myth, but it actually exists, in a human. If that DigiDestined manages to master and take advantage of the Light, we'll be in big trouble." Nyxmon concluded. The severity in the primordial digimon's voice let GranDracmon know his master wasn't fooling around, "What should we do now, my lord. I humbly suggest eliminating that DigiDestined as soon as we can."
"You think I haven't tried. If we attempt to attack or brainwash that brat, the Light will react to protect its host. Acting rashly and we might inadvertently help the human become aware of his potential." Nyxmon pointed out.
"But that means…my lord, have we no other ways?" GranDracmon asked concernedly.
"Of course we do. Lethal as it is, the Light still has one weakness: The fragile human body, while able to host that power, simply can't withstand its offensive force. In other words, that DgiDestined has no choice but lending his power to his partner, and if he can't, we won't have anything to fear. You understand what to do now?"
GranDracmon bowed. Nyxmon continued, "Good. You have their location; don't waste my time any more. For this one mission only, dispatch Kimeramon."
"Kimeramon?" the vampire lord digimon scowled, "But my lord, that's an ultimate-level digimon."
"You're unsatisfied?" Nyxmon asked; its voice mocking but also threatening as its massive frame unleashed a intense wave of darkness, making GranDracmon grovel, "Forgive me, my lord, but transporting an ultimate like Kimeramon from Dark Area to the outer world require a lot of energy. I…I'm just concerned about your condition."
"You fool, what's more important, losing some energy or getting rid of my greatest threat?" Nyxmon bellowed, "I'd rather get this done once and for all than sending small fries to deal with that Flamedramon, only to alert them of my plan. You, as my general, should have known better! Now find Kimeramon and do what you have to do."
"Y-yes. I'll carry out your order immediately." GranDracmon somehow managed to bow even lower.
…
Completely oblivious of their upcoming danger, our two heroes continued to go at each other.
"I'm not going to say it twice: Stay out of this, Sam!" Blaze demanded exasperatedly.
"Quit your apprehension, Blaze! If I have to die, so will I, but for defending this world." Sam retorted; his expression remained unwavering.
The verbal fight went on, but before neither could deal the final blow, the ground underneath them started to shake. Initially, Sam thought they were caught in an earthquake, and next thing he knew, the DigiDestined was looking at one of the craziest thing in his life so far, which meant a lot since he'd already witnessed a bunch of weird stuffs.
Like a studio's set being pulled down, everything around them began to fell apart, literally. The earthquake went on, but now, it felt as if the whole world was trembling. Crevices formed on the ground, and before Sam could come up with a theory to explain whatever the heck was going on, he realized there was no longer a surface underneath his feet, as he and Blaze felt into a particularly deep fissure. Between his frightened shriek, Sam had plenty of time to ponder when and where they'd land.
…
Diving into his demise in the middle of a quarrel with his own lover was the lamest way to die Sam could think of, but sadly, that was how things would likely go down. Wind buzzed in the DigiDestined's ears as he lost track of how long he'd been falling. Finally, he blacked out.
A gently, shaky feeling on his shoulder and a familiar voice slowly brought Sam back to his senses, "Sam! Come on, wake up please!"
The DigiDestined opened his eyes and sat up groggily. The crumbling beach was gone. No longer falling, Sam realized he was now laying on a solid surface with a kneeling Blaze on his left. Technically, digimon couldn't get sick, but the Flamedramon looked so worried that he actually might.
"Are you alright? Feel bad anywhere?" Blaze asked.
"Just a little headache…But I'm okay." Sam replied, rubbing his forehead. The human swept his eyes at the surrounding, but there was barely anything to see but a few dehydrated trees and something that resembled a temple complex in the far north, "Looks like a desert. Strange, cuz I had this crazy dream about us being at the beach, then suddenly everything just…like, collapsed and we felt to our death…wait, that wasn't a dream, was it? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong."
It was probably the only time Sam wished he'd made a false call; unfortunately, things just had to be the other way around, "No, you were right. I, too, saw it myself…still working on believing, but yeah, the area really shattered." Blaze informed him grimly, and suddenly, it clicked in the human's head, "Wait, didn't you say locations in this world have been disappearing? Could it be…the same thing happened to them?"
"Perhaps," the Flamedramon nodded in agreement, "But who in the blue blazes has that kind of ability? I didn't know it was possible to achieve such a feat."
"Everything here is composed of data, right? So that means they can also be deleted." Sam pointed out.
"True, in our case, but zone data is almost indestructible; otherwise this whole world would've been eaten away by virus ages ago!"
"Touché," Sam admitted, then pointed his head suggestively at the temple complex, "But leave it at that. Now can we please move to somewhere with a shade? I'm not in the mood for suntan."
"Fair enough, let's go." Blaze agreed.
…
An old saying goes, 'be careful what you wish for', and Sam, until now, had fully realized what it means.
Just seconds ago, he'd been desperate to avoid the burning sunlight under a nice shade, then maybe conjuring up some coke and nachos from the Digivice to savor, but the human barely had any chance to move when a whatever-it-was cast a colossal shadow over him and Blaze, effectively rendering them immobilized for a brief moment.
Eventually, they both brought their heads up, and Sam nearly had a seizure. And just minutes earlier he'd thought nothing could be more bizarre than a collapsing zone, but apparently, the digital world had more surprises awaiting him. Unfortunately, this wasn't a pleasant one.
So far, Sam'd encountered a large variety of digimon. Some were cute; some were weird but not hostile-looking; and some were downright ugly. Still, however odd appearance a digimon had, the DigiDestined was always able to classify it. For example, the stinky Dokugumon that tried to eat Sam alive just right after he'd arrived in the digital world (so much for a first impression) was an arachnid-class digimon; or the massive shadow that called itself Nyxmon at least looked humanoid. As of now, Sam feared that he might go insane from trying to comprehend what he was looking at.
A kabuto helmet for the head; four different arms; two distinguish pairs of wings; an orange, dinosaurian abdomen; two white canine foot and a strange tail - All together composed the creature flying above him and Blaze. Through the flicking light and shadow, Sam could see the digimon's eyes, and they scared him, not from the malice or evilness, but from the lack of sentiments. In other words, he was facing a soulless being, and judging from its menacing look, Sam knew the digimon wasn't here to say hi.
"Kimeramon!" Blaze's gasp caught in his throat, and the monster - now Kimeramon, as if to reconfirm that, let loose an ear-splitting bellow, so horrifying that Sam was momentarily paralyzed, until Blaze grabbed his wrist and literally dragged him through the desert, "Stop spacing out, Sam! Run for it!"
"Run? But to where?" the human exclaimed.
"Over there!" Blaze replied, pointing hastily at the temples, "You get there and hide. I'll distract Kimeramon."
"Oh hell no, I'm not leaving you here to fight that thing alone!" Sam protested.
"Yes you will." Blaze confirmed as he summoned his clawed gauntlets out of thin air, "This is what I've tried to warn you seen the beginning: Nyxmon is going after you."
"Then let's give the bastard what it feared! Let's fight together like we're supposed to!" Sam offered.
"Not this time you can't!" Blaze shouted as he pulled Sam to his left, helping the human narrowly escape a heat ray from Kimeramon, who got impatient and already began to attack, "I've fought that thing before, and I know how dangerous it could be. The relentless monster won't stop until its target is dead, but at least I can revive as DigiEgg."
"Blaze, please…" Sam's voice choked.
"Don't worry, even if I must live another life, I'll never forget you. We'll meet again, I promise."
Blaze sounded as if he was making a final farewell, and Sam's feelings broke as tears began to roll down his cheeks. How could the DigiDestined bring himself to run away after hearing those words? Alive or dead, he would go with Blaze to the end.
Oddly enough, his foot seemed to think otherwise, as Sam realized they were moving on their own, just like when he'd found the Digivice. Clearly, the human had denied his need to take refuge, and he wasn't scared to the point that his body had to act on survival instinct, so why was he still running? It suddenly dawned on Sam that he felt obliged to get to those temples, as if something hidden there was drawing him to it, and despite the effort he mustered, the human found it impossible to resist his body's command.
"No!" Sam exclaimed desperately as their distance gradually lengthened, and through his eyes' corner, the last thing he saw was Blaze, struggling to dodge Kimeramon's assault while trying in vain to hit the beast with his fire rockets.
…
This Digital World was seriously making Sam question his existence. So many weird stuffs happened simultaneously, and when the human thought he finally got to see something normal, the temples just instantly squashed his hope, for they looked exactly like some of those in a random horror or fantasy movie: That rustic, mystical charm but with a eerie, ghastly aura, as if they knew their next preys would be some brave but foolish adventurers. Sam briefly wondered, without mankind, who'd got the level of finesse to put together a construction of this magnitude. But then he noticed how stupid of a question that was, since this world was inhabited by a bunch of extraordinary, MMORPG creatures - those who were physically and mentally superior to any humans.
Standing in front of the huge, moss-covered entrance, Sam considered walking inside, head-up and all like a hero, but he was still somewhat reluctant. What was he waiting for? He'd betrayed his own will and left Blaze behind just to get here. He'd seen his lover going into a losing battle which would probably result in his death.
Sam's throat constricted with anger. If something really drew him here, without any reasons to add, he'd find and smash it into pieces.
…
The inside wasn't as bad as he expected. Sure, the air was humid and musty, but Sam pretty much met with no other obstacles. Initially, the human thought he'd have to fumble his way through a pitch-dark, trap-filled chamber, but on each wall was an array of windows, which effectively provided him with an adequate source of light. Another thing puzzling Sam was the temple's ludicrous lack of decors, considering its impressive outer appearance. Who would build such a place and leave it empty inside?
After a dauntingly long walk, Sam finally reached the temple's end, which was a big yet again, empty hall. In front of him now was a plain altar with some sort of symbols engraved into it. The carvings greatly resembled Ancient Greek, yet Sam, somehow, understood them: Right here, Miracle awaits the Chosen.
The DigiDestined couldn't help laughing. Miracle? What a joke, considering the mess he and Blaze were going through. Sam then turned his focus to the single object on the altar, which he couldn't indentify due to its weird, edgy shape. The item seemed to be made of metal, possibly gold, but it'd definitely suffered from overexposure and lack of care for a long time: The surface, covered in a layer thick of dust, had completely lost its radiance.
"What am I supposed to do now?" Sam wondered aloud; just when, out of nowhere, a deep, powerful voice echoed through the hall, "Welcome, those who come here to seek power."
"What the…" Sam stammered, startled, "Get out here, whoever you're!"
"Nice offer, but I'll have to politely decline." said the voice, and Sam had an annoying hunch that it was mocking him, "Now then, I assume you know the reason why we're here, human."
"You assume?" Sam wailed scornfully, "Right now, my partner, my best friend, is out there, risking his life to protect me, and instead of being there to support him, I'm stuck in this forsaken warehouse. Is that what you assume?"
"Don't worry," the voice said, "I can tell your friend is still alive…and in big trouble, of course. Fortunately, I have the solution right here, in front of you."
"This?" Sam inquired, pointing at the metal item on the altar, "Are you kidding me! What the heck can this piece of junk do?"
"The Power to beat all odds. Known as Armor of Miracle, this sacred treasure has resided here since ancient time, so long that its golden brilliance was lost. Only a touch of the rightful owner can bring the armor back to its glory, and that person alone will be allowed to possess this immeasurable power."
Sam couldn't resister much of those information, but somewhere in his head, the DigiDestined's instinct ordered him to just go ahead and claim the armor, which was exactly what he did. The moment his hand came in contact with the armor, however, Sam felt an electric current run through his body, resulting in a pain so excruciating that he'd nearly faint. Sam quickly withdrew his hand, and the pain instantly stopped, but still left him panting heavily.
"Ah, look like you're yet to be the one," said the voice regretfully, "Before you, many had come here, digimon and humans alike, hoping to seize this power, but all were met with the same result. Too bad, but I'm afraid there's nothing you could do now."
Sam, breathless and dazed, once again stepped up and put his hand on the armor. Again, the electric current ravaged his body, albeit twice as powerful as the first one. Sam's vision blurred and his feet became shaky. Once again, the DigiDestined had no choice but to retreat.
"It's futile, human. The armor has made its statement. Keep trying and you will get yourself killed."
But once again, the human's hand found its way to the armor. As of now, the pain had increased so much that Sam thought he was being roasted on a white-hot fire. Unlike his previous attempts, however, the DigiDestined tenaciously held on.
"Do you want power that badly? Don't you value your life?"
Sam's chest heaved. He was laughing.
"What I want…is the power to defend this world; and to save the most important person in my life." his grip on the armor tightened, "You plan to choose your master? Bullshit! Listen carefully: I. Choose. You!"
Instantly after he finished that statement, Sam's anguish skyrocketed. His senses faded. Somewhere along the torment, perhaps he screamed, but Sam heard nothing. The DigiDestined was inches away from reaching his limit when suddenly, blinding light filled the confined hall, and Sam was holding the source in his hand - The Armor of Miracle, awakened and glorified.
"You've acquired the Armor of Miracle. Congratulations."
"But you said it rejected me." Sam inquired, staring in awe at the shining, now golden item in his hand.
"The armor rejected everyone, and they always gave up on the spot, for they didn't have the courage and willpower to overcome their own dogma or fear of death. You, on the other hand, risk your life to obtain it, not for any selfish desire but greater good. Miracle is something we could create by our hands, rather than waiting to be bestowed, and Chosen Ones are those who choose their destiny instead of letting someone else choose it for them. Since you've realized that truth, the Armor of Miracle now belongs to you."
"T-thanks." Sam sputtered. The armor's intense light had reduced to a warm glow, and the human felt a gently pulse spread over his body, soothing the pain he'd endured.
"Now then, shall we save your partner?" the voice offered, which raised a question in Sam's head about how they could possibly make it back in time to help Blaze. One second later, though, the entire temple vanished, as if it'd always been an illusion all along, and Sam found himself in the wasteland again, where he caught the sight of his Flamedramon, exhausted and cornered but still valiantly trying to fight back.
Ignoring his tiredness, Sam dashed towards his overwhelmed comrade. His mind emptied all questions, leaving room for only one task: To aid Blaze and give the Flamedramon his needed power to overcome this crisis. The Armor of Miracle, as if having sensed his desperation, glowed warm in the DigiDestined's hand, refueling his strength, and thus, Sam was able to reach Blaze after only a few minutes running.
…
At least he'd done everything he could for Sam.
That was what Blaze'd initially thought as he engaged in battle against a creature much stronger than he ever was. Yet when the Flamedramon contemplated his attempt, he realized that it sounded incredibly foolish. What could guarantee Sam's safety after he was done? What could make sure that beast, Kimeramon, wouldn't go after his mate?
That realization alone helped the Flamedramon keep on fighting. Deep down, Blaze knew he was no match for Kimeramon, and holding off the composition digimon this long was a practically impossible feat, but for the sake of their lovers, one could be surprisingly resilient. Still, willpower was no energy, and it could only sustain the Flamedramon so much. Fatigue and Kimeramon's constant assault finally got the best of him. As the monster loomed over him, Blaze was prepared for the worst, but what the digimon saw from the corner of his eyes made him want to redefine 'worst': Sam, holding some weird item, was running toward him and Kimeramon, deliberately to boost.
Despite himself being a fire-attribute digimon, Blaze felt a magma-hot surge of fury erupt in his chest, "What are you doing here?", he demanded angrily.
Happily oblivious of the Flamedramon's resentment, Sam replied matter-of-factly, "Helping you out, duh."
"If you want to help me out, then turn around and run!" Blaze shouted.
"I've got a better way," Sam grinned, theatrically holding up the armor, "Use this to obliterate the monster!"
As soon as Sam finished his command, the item shot out of his hand and plunged towards Blaze, enclosing the digimon in its blinding aura. Blaze's body instinctively welcomed the light as it overflowed him with unknown vigor, and before the digimon realized it, his own armor started to change, or rather, replaced by a completely new one, with helmet, shoulder pads, breastplate, loin guard, wrist and feet armors, all made of gold.
Sam stared at his partner's new form in awe. Since he first set eyes on the golden item, Sam'd been wondering where the name 'Armor of Miracle' came from, and now he got his answer. Moreover, Sam finally understood why girls always squealed and giggled like idiots when talking about their dreamy 'knight in shining armor', for a real one was standing in front of him, as magnificent as the rising sun, as if the Armor of Miracle had been created just for Blaze alone to clad. Of course Sam would never squeal, but his gaping mouth was a bigger statement than any kind of exclamation.
The DigiDestined wasn't the only bewildered one. Brimmed with energy, Blaze realized, in utmost amazement, how much his body had changed. His senses were so heightened that it seemed as if a foggy curtain covering his world had just been pulled up. This sent a spark of fear down Blaze's spine, as he was afraid he might see his lover differently. Much to the digimon's relief, however, he never did.
"Blaze, watch out!"
As Sam's voice brought him back to reality, Blaze spotted a laser beam heading his way, only to realize he didn't have enough time to evade it. Almost reflexively, Blaze raised his arm in an attempt to defense himself. In that instance, the Flamedramon knew he'd made a foolish decision: How could his arm withstand an attack that could possibly annihilate his whole body?
Amazingly enough, not only did Blaze survive the blast, he was even able to deflect it. With a dry CLANG, Kimeramon's beam was snapped to another direction, hitting the ground with a massive explosion. The impressive feat also gave Blaze his needed confident boost. He could actually win this battle, and he knew it!
"Take this!" Blaze exclaimed, launching himself into the air, and when he reached Kimeramon's level, the Flamedramon threw a jaw-shaking hook at his bewildered foe, which was strong enough to leave a nasty crack on Kimeramon's helmet. Following his initial momentum, Blaze continued to attack with a series of punches and kicks, each of which was powerful enough to leave Kimeramon helpless and unable to fight back.
"Alright!" Sam raised his fist triumphantly as he watch Blaze rapidly gain the upper hand, blood rushed excitingly through his body as the DigiDestined finally got to experience what he's supposed to do: aiding his partner on his quest to battle evils - An adventure, he might say. Before this day, the word 'adventure' always brought forth, in Sam's head, an image of a silly, epic-wannabe child play, but this one was different. It was the real deal, and it came with the ultimate prizes: the Digital World's peace and Blaze. Sam wasn't much of a competitive guy, but he would make sure to get both.
A loud shriek caught Sam's attention, as he looked up and saw Kimeramon, sent crashing down by a mighty blow from Blaze, who slowly descended and landed right in front of his wide-eyed partner. Sam could have sworn the digimon's silver hair had grown in length, and the way it blew in the wind was…amazingly cool, complimented by the golden radiance of his armor. If the Armor of Miracle gained its user such great power boost and magnificent transformation, Sam understood why folks had spent eons trying to obtain it.
"Sam…" Blaze's voice made him shiver, for it (while was essentially the same as ever) now carried a strong hint of power and sternness, "Take out your digivice and lend me power. Let's finish this."
"Certainly, but how can I…?" Sam managed to reply, his shaking hand already holding the digivice firmly.
"Concentrate your will and direct it toward me. The digivice will do the rest." Blaze said. The DigiDestined did as he had been told, and sure enough, his digivice started to glow. From it small screen, a yellow flash shot out and became a soft aura covering Blaze's body.
Brimmed with energy, the digimon leapt over his startled foe, "Say you prayers!"
A speechless Sam watched as the aura surrounding Blaze expanded until it became a giant globe, as glorious as the rising Sun. Kimeramon tried to escape, but was caught in the attack's huge radius. Devastated by the heat and pressure, the composition digimon gave one last shriek before it dissolved and turned into black dust - a befitting end for the malevolent creature.
…
When Sam ran toward Blaze, he was hoping for a big, warm hug, maybe a few praises and a rewarding kiss.
A slap was totally out of his expectation.
Blaze's slap packed such a force that it made Sam stumble, but what truly knocked the DigiDestined off his feet was the shock that Blaze actually hit him, which got worsened by the fact that the digimon had never hurt him physically before.
"The fuck are you doing?" Sam demanded furiously, groggily getting on his feet.
"Why did you come back? How could you throw away your life while I tried to protect it?" the digimon said with a dangerously quiet voice.
"And what made you think throwing life away is your privilege?" Sam retaliated indignantly, "Besides, I did help you win, didn't I?"
"How many times do I have to tell you: I can revive as DigiEggs, so it's completely fine should I die, but you…"
The digimon didn't have a chance to finish his own line as he was stopped Sam, using the same method he'd done on the human, ironically. The punch, however, failed to leave any effect on the digimon whatsoever, thanks to his shiny new helmet, and in return, Blaze realized Sam's knuckle was bleeding profusely.
"Don't you dare mentioning that 'reviving' crap again? We love each other and all…I get it! But that doesn't mean you can disregard your existence. If you don't even care about your own well-being, who else will?" the human's shoulders trembled violently as he said.
"Sam…"
"The armor you're wearing, the power you used to beat Kimeramon…I put my life on the line to obtain them. By no means, I repeat, no means, will I allow them to end up in the hand of a suicidal idiot." Sam continued. Somewhere in the back of his mind, the DigiDestined was surprised by how commanding he sounded.
As soon as Sam finished, however, his head instantly dropped, and Blaze could see small, transparent drop fall onto the crimson, blood-stained sand. Gently, the digimon took his lover's bleeding hand, "I understand. But still, the risk is too great. Every battle we have to face will be as dangerous as that against Kimeramon, or even more."
"Get over that stupid anxiety, will you? Everyone should be responsible for what they choose to do. I never regret picking up your digivice, nor do I have any second thoughts about being your lover, and last but not least, I don't resent my fate as a DigiDestined. Of course, I have no intention of dying, and dating a guy who can't even value his own life is out of the question. Got that?"
"Are you really…a human, Sam?"
Blaze's awkward question made the DigiDestined almost fall over, but it helped clearing the tension between them. With a wholehearted smile, Sam replied, "I sure am. What makes you think otherwise?"
"Well, I thought humans always think of themselves first, but you accept this matter so easily, despite knowing that it could be fatal." The digimon explained sheepishly.
"Don't get me wrong. I'm scared, hella scared, but I have my motivation. In fact, don't we all? Humans and digimon are alike. We desire something, we live for something. You fight for this world, right, so do I, but there's another reason, more important I dare say, and I think you have a very good idea what it is."
Somewhere in his mild, soapy imagination, Sam pictured and pretty much hoped for some romantic reactions from Blaze, but along with his new power, the digimon seemed to get more dense, and the DigiDestined's bubble was mercilessly burst by a curt, simple reply, "What?"
Again, Sam almost fell over by how dull his partner could be, and the Armor of Miracle, apparently agreed with him, started to dematerialize until all that left was a floating yellow ball of light, leaving Blaze reverted to his Flamedramon form before disappearing into Sam's digivice.
"Look like we have some extra stuff to use in the upcoming battles," the DigiDestined grinned, "Besides, good thing the armor ain't stuck with you permanently, otherwise I have no idea how to kiss you with that fancy helmet, you stubborn, knucklehead…"
As the spoke, Sam wrapped his arms softly around his beloved Flamedramon's neck and shortened the distance between their faces, until he could whisper to the digimon's ears, "…and important thing in my life."
…
Equally exhausted, they built an open campfire right under the night, starry sky. Sam began the night-out by recapping the story of how he obtained the Armor of Miracle, including his near-death experience.
"You were fatally reckless again." Flame scowled, and quickly added, "But that's fine. As of now, I know there's nothing I can say or do to stop you from acting your way."
"Good, you're catching up quite fast." The DigiDestined grinned "Still, I find it hilariously convenient that the temple was there when Kimeramon attacked us, don't you think?"
"Not really. Now that I remember, there were folk tales mentioning this temple. It's said to attract brave and power-hungry individuals. Many had come there to obtain the treasure hidden inside, yet all of them returned empty-handed."
"Power-hungry, huh? Doesn't sound nice at all." Sam mumbled, rolling his eyes at the ground.
"It depends on how you use that power. Now I understand why many before you had failed. They'd got the guts alright, but all lacked the righteousness required to wear the armor." Blaze gently wrapped his arm around Sam's back, the digimon's words were warm and comforting, much like his presence.
"Flattering…but thanks," The DigiDestined said, leaning against his lover for support, pretty much wishing to melt into that warmth. He'd managed to hide it for a while, but in the end, Sam was merely a human. The ordeals earlier had thoroughly drained him, and while his physical conditions recovered quite fast, Sam still felt quite mentally exhausted.
"I'm not lying. The courage you displayed was remarkable, even among the digimon, leave alone humans, which is something truly admirable." Blaze smiled, tightening his hold around Sam, "Besides, it did save my butt, the armor."
Suddenly, an idea ignited in Sam's head, so exciting that it completely invigorated his tired mind, "Speaking of your butt…" he said, licking his lips longingly, "I've, actually, always wanted to try it, and after everything happened today, I think that's quite a reasonable reward. What do you say, Blaze?"
The Flamedramon was slightly bewildered by his lover's request, but a smile soon crossed his face, "Anything for you, as long as it's in my capability. Besides, you did earn it."
Impatiently, Sam pounced on Blaze and pressed his lips against the latter's, as if afraid the Flamedramon would go back on his words. Nonetheless, Blaze accepted the gesture and quickly returned the flavor, kissing back with as much passion.
Having seized the initiative, Sam hoped to gain the upper hand, yet the DigiDestined found his tongue once again being overwhelmed by Blaze's stronger and more experienced one. Feeble moans escaped the human's mouth as Blaze began to apply pressure, firmly yet gently, draining him of his breath.
"Geez, can't you go easy on me just once?" Sam panted as he and Blaze parted; a small string of saliva connecting their mouths.
"Nah, I think that's worth getting this lil' boy excited." The digimon smirked while his hand, unnoticed by Sam, found its way to the human's groin and surprised him with a firm grope, "I never get tired of how easily aroused you're, heh."
Sure enough, Sam felt his pant instantly got much tighter as a 'certain' part of his lower body rose, aching to break free from its fabric confinement. Taking the sight, Blaze gave the handful tent another hearty stroke, applying just perfectly enough pressure to get his human lover aroused without rendering his experience overbearing. Sam frowned, yet somehow found himself smiling instantly, "You naughty, lusty beast."
"Yep, that's quite the ideal description of me," Blaze chuckled smugly, "You might want to keep it for yourself, though. Every time someone tries to depict me, I can't help showing them what I really make of."
"Won't hurt your chances if I try," Sam grinned, reaching out his hand to grab the digimon's, which had been playing with his privates, "Now get the job done, then flip over to give me a nice view of your ass."
Blaze made a quiet sound of disapproval. Clearly, the digimon was enjoying himself, and he'd expected Sam to cooperate a bit longer. Then again, Blaze could actually relate to his lover's excitement and eagerness, as he too, had barely managed to control those feelings on the night he'd claimed Sam. Besides, it'd be a downright lie to pretend that giving Sam his virginity didn't get Blaze utterly thrilled.
As Blaze finally done playing around, Sam's clothes were removed in no time, scattered carelessly around him. With his boxers gone, Sam's erection flicked into the air, fleshly and painfully hard, already leaking precum profusely from the tip. Blaze fastened his eyes intensely on the human's pole of flesh. While slightly lacking in length and thickness, Sam's cock still possessed its unique trails, namely the smooth and rounded phallus, which were more than enough to trigger Blaze's lust. Even without getting closer to his desired meat, the Flamedramon'd practically smelt the musky, tangy aroma from the pearly pre, and his imagination instantly provided Blaze with various erotic prospects of how he might feel to get stuffed with that exotic yet delicious-looking shaft.
Calm down, you'll get that cock right away…Blaze told himself, running his hand along Sam's thighs, relishing the soft, silky texture, before gently squeezing the healthy, bloated nuts, lavished by the thought of being filled with their content.
The foreplay did increase Sam's arousal, but simultaneously drove him more impatient. It didn't help that Blaze kept toying with his lower region, yet somehow managed to left his cock untouched, which was now twitching madly, begging for attention. Even in this kind of situation, the Flamedramon still managed to remain in control to a certain degree, yet that realization only irritated the human. He was supposed to be in charge tonight. He was about to do the fucking, not Blaze. The DigiDestined recalled his experience in the temple complex, when he'd stepped up and claimed the Armor of Miracle with all of his might. Sam'd never felt more dominant, more in control, and now, he pretty much wanted nothing more than showing Blaze that side of him.
Swiftly, Sam snapped Blaze's hand off his thighs and flipped the digimon around; mimicking a self-defense move he'd always seen on martial arts films (which, to his surprise, worked). Caught off guard, the stronger digimon couldn't muster any form of resistance, and even when he intended to, Blaze saw, from the corner of his eyes, unknown authority reflect in Sam's irises. So this was the statement Sam had been desperately trying to make: He was strong. He needed no protection or tampering. He was the partner with whom Blaze was destined to end up, and the Flamedramon would happily oblige that call, however who made it.
"Let see what treat I'm in for tonight." Sam said as he spread the Flamedramon's deliciously round and firm butt cheeks, revealing Blaze's virgin pucker. The digimon quivered as his sensitive flesh was exposed to the cold night air, and accidentally wriggled his rump. Sam, mistaking the gesture as an invitation, licked his hand and began to insert two fingers inside the digimon. Blaze grunted in discomfort as his tight ring of flesh was forced open. Even though his anus was essentially the same as a human's, it'd never been stretched before, seeing as digimon needed no form of nourishment to survive. Luckily, the pain subsided rather quickly, and Blaze could even feel the pleasure when Sam's fingers, still moving around inside him, pressed against his inner button every now and then.
Noticing the unmistakable delight on his lover's face, Sam grinned. He knew the fingering was enough to get Blaze prepared, yet the digimon's slightly dazed expression made him want to play around a bit more. Blaze was rather disappointed when the human's fingers left his tailhole, yet barely had time to complain as Sam surprised him again, this time by pushing his tongue against the digimon's spread anus. The Flamedramon immediately gasped as Sam lathered his hole; the human's sand-papery oral appendage snaked its way into his depths, providing him with an immensely satisfying sensation. Soon, Blaze's taint was messy and drenched in saliva.
"Sam, please…" Blaze begged. By the time Sam'd removed his tongue, the Flamedramon was reduced to nothing but a horny, needy male who was about to hit his limit.
"Very well." Sam replied, taking his erection in his hand and aligning it with Blaze's lubricated pucker, struggling to do so as his heart was beating so hard against his ribcages. The DigiDestinied had dreamed of this moment ever since he'd started lusting after his sexy Flamedramon. Just the sensation of his cock against the bare, moist flesh of Blaze's tailhole was beyond description for Sam. As of now, he was equally aroused as Blaze was.
Within one thrust, Sam's phallus broke through the tight hole's resistance, making way for his length to enter Blaze's hot cavern, until the DigiDestinied felt his hips come in contact with his lover's buttocks. Both moaned in pleasure and in Blaze's case, a little pain. The DigiDestinied grunted as he couldn't help noticing how soft and warm it was inside his lover. Already the digimon's muscles were spasming around his shaft and caressing it intensely, as if trying to milk him dry. Sam wondered how long he could last with such amazing stimulation. Likewise, Blaze was having a lifetime experience. The initial discomfort had completely vanished, leaving room for erotic satisfaction as he impaled by his lover's manhood.
A few minutes to let his lover adjust, and Sam began to penetrate Blaze at a gentle pace, eliciting a low rumble from the Flamedramon. In and out he went; his grip on the digimon's waist tightened as he sank into that warm, most haven. Blaze tried to relax, which didn't prove difficult much as his senses was slowly reduced to a dull, throbbing pleasure; his hips bucked relentlessly as he pushed back to Sam's thrusts. Now Blaze understood why Sam was so eager when it came to this kind of intimating act: It was such a wonderful sensation, being filled time and time again by his lover
"More…do it harder, Sam…" Blaze said in a pleading tone as he felt the amazingly smooth girth spread him open, radiating its warmth into his depths. Sam couldn't be happier to comply. Slowly he picked up the speed, mating with his lover at a steady pace; his excitement skyrocketed. How could he not? He was fucking his magnificent lover. He was claiming what that should have always been his. He was reaming a freaking sexy Flamedramon. Those naughty thoughts drove Sam mad with lust, and the DigiDestinied was determined to make this experience unforgettable for both of them.
Taking a chance he pulled out, leaving Blaze whimpering in shock and emptiness. Ignoring his lover's look of disapproval, Sam flipped the digimon around and let him lay on his back.
"That's better. I want to look you in the eyes when I breed you." Sam demanded sexily and dominantly, before slamming all the way in, hilting his entire length in the digimon. Blaze felt no pain, as his mind focus solely on the hard cock filling him up. Another provided distraction was the lewd sound of their bodies slapping together and combined moan as Sam began to thrust anew, pounding away at his lover. Drowned in the pleasure of their mating, Blaze could only panted helplessly as Sam rutted him hard and fast; the hard teen rod massaged his prostate amidst the passionate love-making.
Eventually, Sam's thrusts grew erratic as he neared his climax, and from the vice-like grip of Blaze's fleshy walls around his member as well as the digimon's drooling muzzle, he could tell Blaze was getting close too. Smirking, he took the digi-cock and began to forcefully jerk it off, earning a yowl from Blaze, who was getting overwhelmed as his cock and tailhole were pleasured at once. The digimon's mind was clouded with lust as Sam's excellent administration brought the intensity of his ecstasy to its zenith.
Naturally, he came first. Blaze felt the pressure gather at his groin and build up rapidly until it became impossible to suppress. Crying out in pure bliss, the digimon succumbed to his orgasm; his knotted cock twitched vigorously and jetted streams of semen into the air, splashing his and Sam's chests with creamy, sticky fluids. Spurt after spurt the digimon climaxed, his sheer volume was as impressive as ever, as though he was trying to bathe himself and Sam in seed.
The effect of his lover's orgasm also hit Sam immediately, as his cock was clamped down especially hard by the Flamedramon's inner muscles. That, combined with the heavy musk of Blaze's cum in the air, sent the DigiDestinied over the edge.
"Here it comes!" Sam hissed, slamming desperately into his lover; hips moved in a blur. Then, with a final thrust, the human felt his groin connect with Blaze rear as he held them in that position, hilting himself deep within his lover. His cock jerked repeatedly, unloading torrents of fresh human cum into Blaze's awaiting bowels. Every nook and cranky of Blaze's delicious love entrance was painted with a generous amount warm, white goo, which marked him as the human's claim from here and on. Sam'd never came so hard in his entire life, and got a little dazed just by marveling at how much he'd shot into his lover.
Finally it was done. Sam collapsed onto Blaze, ignoring the messy puddle of digi-seed between them and on the ground. The two exchanged soft kisses as they recovered from their heart-stopping orgasm, basking in the afterglow of such a passionate mating. Licking all the cum from Blaze's face, Sam placed another kiss on the Flamedramon's snout, grinning; "Now you're mine, just like I'm yours."
"Aren't we always?" Blaze grinned back.
Both knew a long and unforgiving war was waiting ahead, but that was for later. Right now, all they cared about was each other, lying there, together.
(Dark Area)
"You fool!!!"
Nyxmon's fury was unmistakable. Thunder roared as black lightning flashed across the sky, shaking GranDracmon's castle as much as they shook its master.
"Not only did you fail, but you even allowed that brat to obtain the wretched Armor of Miracle!" Nyxmon roared; its eyes flashed murderously.
"My lord, I…"
"If there's any silver lining, it's the fact that the light of Ulforce has yet to fully awaken," Nyxmon continued, and GranDracmon, like a drowning man clutching at a straw, nodded furiously in agreement. "But right now, we've got to accelerate my revival as fast as possible. Hurry, gather more data. More, bring me more…"
The vampire digimon bowed and quickly made his way out of the tension-filled chamber, leaving Nyxmon alone with its thoughts.
"Look like I underestimate you again, humans, but soon, very soon, you'll all fall before me!
