"Do you think that antique car of yours will make the drive?" Melissa asked from the phone.

"It will if I don't push it, I am just glad that this crap is over and I've been approved for the transfer to Spokane this coming summer. The lease at my apartment expires at the same time and so I can move over this summer." Han said to his sister and listen to her reply.

"I am keeping this car when I get my settlement." He said to himself as he drove the car to Spokane. Han looked at the black thin rimmed steering wheel seeing a small center section with the word TOYOTA instead of the middle part housing the air bag. His first car and this one has manual crank handles to roll down the windows. Han remembered that he has to wait a couple of minutes for this one car and the Datsun for the carbureted engines to warm up before putting them in gear. Sighing, the human missed the old gas pumps without that stupid piece that had to be compressed on the nozzle. Han rather missed the smell of raw fuel when putting gas in his cars. So, he continued his drive to Spokane.

4:30 pm, miles from Spokane Wa.

The sky is darkening as the sun set to the west. Thru the rear view mirror, he watched for a second, then when looking forward as something bright is descending to the ground. Han saw a bright flash making him slam on the brakes.

I can tell you might not like the one hour walk from my place to here." Liru said to Han as the city came in view.

He regretted thinking that Liru was living at med evil times. The city in front of him looked like New Chicago from Buck Rodgers series. Han had to slow down a little as sleek vehicles moved around him. The human had to keep looking around to avoid hitting someone or something. He listen to Lirus' directions and the road cleared up. Han is startled at a loud beeping making him look in the rear view mirror seeing flashing lights on a sleek car behind him. Sighing, the human pulled over to the side of the road.

"Let me do the talking, but if the officer asks a question, be honest." She said seeing two figures walking to the car. She watched as Han rolled down the window.

Kuune, Melis' partner stood at the rear of this vehicle taking in its' features. It's a shade of blue with some worn areas on the paint showing a different color, like a whitish gray. The cat girl saw a thin piece of metal with blue numbers and letters on it with a mountain in the background. She took a picture of the piece of metal sending it to Meli and the captain.

Han relaxed knowing that he might blend in on this world if he can get some fake ears and tail.

The other cat girl still studied this vehicle taking in the features of it. She walked around the right side smelling a chemical scent coming from a pipe under it. Kuune knew a internal combustion engine because her hobby is old machines., "I want to take this to the motor pool and take a closer look at this." The cat girl thought to herself studying the wheels knowing that this vehicle days are numbered because it will cost a lot to keep it road worthy. Because none of her peoples' vehicles aren't close to the way it's constructed., "Plus every replacement part has to be made at a specialty shop from scratch and that isn't cheap." The human nodded knowing that on Earth at the United States it will be years of bureaucracy before someone is made a citizen. "It's forty one years old, Han told me while he drove here. He did mention that he will consider selling to a museum so he can purchase one of our cars." Kuune said to her Aoi watching her sisters' features.

"Tell him to hold that idea, I just might do a trade with him with one of the vehicles in the impound yard." Aoi said and resumed looking under the car.

Captains' office, same time.

Han so far has been treated pretty good by this group of law enforcement compared to his dealings with the Everett police. He looked at the cat girl with long black hair with green eyes at a desk typing on a device that reminds him of his iPad in the back of his car. Another officer walked in whispering to her. "How do you access the power plant to your vehicle?"

Han knew the best thing for his car is to give it to this mechanic because Kuune told him her people can make parts, but the shops have a two week back log of work. He said., "Deal, but one condition, I need a job because I need stuff to do or I'll go nuts."

Carmen clears her throat., "Aoi needs a helper at the motor pool." She saw Kuunes' sister grinning showing her teeth.

Later walking to the motor pool.

Han relaxed as he walked with Liru to the motor pool. He's has mixed feelings about of what he's going to do. The human is going to trade a vehicle that has been good to him with a unknown vehicle type., "Liru, I hope you know the cars on this world, the good ones and bad ones."

The fox girl chuckled., "I do, I just didn't have an excuse to own one. I only go to town three times a week to go to work and get supplies. Might live in the woods, but I know a lot of stuff." She says grabbing his ass giving it a squeeze.

Han saw the Liru and Aoi walking back to him, Liru looked at Aoi shaking her hand.

"Deal, I'll have Han look at my choices and he'll show you how to operate his car." The fox girl said and looked at Han and grinned., "I have the list down to three, those ones I chosen had a good reputation of being reliable and easy to work on."

Minutes later, outside the garage.

Han is now looking at his new car which is called a Scion. It looked like the offspring of a Toyota Pius and a Nissan Leaf. He taught Aoi how to operate the Toyota Corolla and she taught him how to operate this Scion. The human found the car easy to operate while walking around the car admiring the pearl blue finish., "Lets head home Liru, I am tired." The human said getting in the car. Han stuck a metal stick in a hole by the steering wheel watching the LCD panel coming on. He looked at the car, that brought him from Earth to here backing out of the garage with Aoi driving it., "I'll visit you later to look at you, but there is no NAPA auto parts store here to keep you maintain." The human said as he exited the compound to head back to Lirus' home.

"It's called a quick access recorder. Aircraft techs use this device to find what's wrong with an aircraft. Much like the ECM on a newer auto, it records what's wrong with a aircraft.
