Swimming Hole (The Fox and the Hound)
Tod Tweed and Copper Slade have been the best of friends for nineteen years. During one hot Appalachian summer, the fox and hound decide to go trek through the woods to reach a swimming hole in order to cool off. Neither of them are aware the result of this hiking trip will change the course of their relationship forever.
Thank you all for participating in last month's Rule 34 Raffle poll. I hope you'll like the next poll that's about to come up, and I hope you enjoy what I came up with here! I've always been a huge fan of the classic Disney film, especially the friendship between the titular fox and the hound. I decided to make them adult anthros living in rural Appalachia. Part of me wanted to include Vixey in this story's plot, but I'd already written a storyline about Tod, Copper, and Vixey in a ménage à trois relationship in another "Fox & the Hound" fanfic, titled "The Fox, His Wife, and the Hound", and didn't want to simply clone it. So, I came up w/ something unique for this month's R34R story. And honestly?
Honestly, I'm quite proud of this one, but what did you think? :)

The oppressive June heat bore down on them as Copper and Tod trekked deeper into the Appalachian wilderness. Screaming cicadas and crackling leaves echoed around them, the pair of best friends continually sweating until their clothes seemed to stick to their fur like molasses. The canteen they’d shared during the hike was already bone dry, not a drop of fresh water left. “Almost there, Copper!” Tod promised between pants. “Just ‘round those trees!” “Why couldn’t…God decide…to put the swimmin’ hole…by our houses?” Copper whined between haggard breaths of air. “I feel like…I’m gonna melt…in a puddle!” “Speaking of puddles, Cop,” Tod pointed excitedly. “There it is!” Their eyes widened in pleased awe. The swimming hole may as well have been the ocean, despite not even being the size of a baseball diamond. It sat nestled at the base of a small valley and was surrounded by tall trees bristling from the heat. Neither Tod nor Copper bothered to wait any much longer. They were deliriously happy, relieved even, stumbling downhill towards the inviting waters. “You thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’, Cop?” “Haha, heck yeah! Let’s do it!” The canine duo exchanged nods. Neither the fox nor the hound bothered to undress. They kicked harder at the ground, reaching the side of the swimming hole, jumped over the edge, and dove in. Cold water baptized the two. For a few seconds, they remained under the water in their own ethereal world. The unbearable heat and tyrannical Sun were in a distant place. All their worries and cares drifted away with the bubbles and settling waves above their ears until finally, they kicked to the surface and gasped for sweet air. Droplets trickled down their fur and muzzles. Copper let out a hound dog’s howl while Tod cackled in relief and sheer joy. “You were right, Tod!” the hound groaned. “Definitely worth the hike!” The fox raspberried his friend. “Told ya so! Now ya owe me an apology.” Copper’s ‘apology’ came in the form of splashing the unsuspecting red fox. “Ahhhhahahha! I’m gonna get ya for that, Cop!” “Try and catch me, if ya can, Tod! Haha! Too slow!” The two snickering friends went splashing and chasing one another throughout the swimming hole. They scampered around like laughing banshees. Soon enough though, their thoroughly soaked clothes proved to be weighing them down, and after finding sandy foothold by the small beach, they stepped out until the water lapsed at their knees. They began to strip, which caused…issues. The sort of issues involving birds and bees. It was far from the first time either of them were naked in front of other boys, let alone one another. Having grown up close by as shit-kicking Appalachian country boys, Tod and Copper had always been very close, causing mischief on their family’s farms, and getting into trouble just as much as they got out of it. Amos Slade and Copper’s Uncle Chief spent so many times threatening to skin a certain fox alive that it honestly became routine, and after maturing into a fine young man who dutifully maintained his foster mother’s homestead, the hound dog’s parental guardians eventually admitted that they held some respect for the red fox. Nowadays, Amos, Chief, and even Widow Tweed have been waiting for their respective grown-up wards to realize something that they apparently hadn’t yet: they loved each other much more than mere friends. Even Vixey, Tod’s best friend from when they were still in high school, recognized how much the fox and the hound not only spent time together, secretly hoping they’d get together. Their summer day at the swimming hole was no different, with Tod sometimes letting his eyes linger at Copper’s posterior after the dog turned his back. Or, when said hound dog needed to look away from the red fox to keep from suddenly growing a boner. “Ya doin’ good there, Tod?” “Uh, yeah…Yeah, I’m good, Cop.” It wasn’t either of their faults. Years of laborious farm work and rural country living had given the fox and hound impressive physiques. Their biceps bulged beneath any plaid shirt and their hard abdomens felt as solid as timber. Plenty of local ladies secretly admired the duo’s muscular buttocks and privately imagined their nudity. Not even their fur colors could hide such incredible bodies, but the two managed to swallow their blushes and fell back into a playful mood just as easily. The pair of canines knew very well that they couldn’t continue swimming in their clothing, let alone keep it floating around in the water. So, they placed each article of clothing out to dry on a large flat rock underneath and open canopy of the forest, close to the small beach of the swimming hole. Nothing but bird chirping, raging cicadas, and the swaying branches of trees circled the canines as a continued to swim and splash, their banter muted along by rapturous glee. At one point, Copper had grown bold enough to start wrestling the fox. “Hey, lemme go, ya dumb dog!” Tod yipped. “Make me, dumb fox!” Copper barked cockily. “I’m stronger!” “I’ll show ya!” Tod grunted. “Haha! Now, hold still, will ya?!” They fought for dominance while trying to get the other in a headlock. Such horse play would not have normally led to anything else other than shoving, or the two of them tumbling under the restless surface of the water. It was all innocent horseplay between young adults. However, that was until the hound suddenly wrapped his arms around Tod from behind, then pressed himself close. Very, very close. “Uh.” Tod stood still in the water. “Uh…Copper?” Copper froze for a moment and realized what was happening. His arms and fingers went stiff as hard as his penis had gotten, rubbing and hardening against his friend’s rump. Tod in turn went stiff too, only to let out an involuntary moan when his best friend accidentally brushed his pinky against his throbbing tip. The hound dog realized what he had just felt with his finger. It could not be mistaken for anything else. Tod swallowed down his fear. “C-Copper, are you…?” The whole world became silent. Even the birds and the cicadas listened. “Y-Yah…Y-You too?” Tod cautiously, slowly turned his body around to face the intensely blushing dog that still held him in his arms. They hissed through their teeth when their shafts touched and dueled, then continued to pant while waiting for the other to say something. Anything. Was it water that dripped down their bare chests and backs, or simply sweat caused by the summer heat all around them? Tod knew for certain that he was producing terrified yet hopeful tears in the corners of his eyes, threatening to spill over. His paws trembled against Copper’s chest. His tail curled tightly as it sat partially submerged. His dry mouth threatened to remain silent. “C-Copper…do you…like, like me—” Copper stole the words directly from his lips, leaning forward and pressed them against his whiskered muzzle. It was only a quick peck, but it caused the fox to feel his stomach flutter, and then his lungs gasp for air as the dog parted and stared at his russet-furred friend with a scared yet goofy smile. “I…” he murmured, “I love you, Tod Tweed. Loved you since the day we met.” Stunned, a vulpine tail thrashed happily under the waters, creating ripples around the two blushing, panting canines. “I…I…I love ya too, Copper Slade!” Tod squeaked. The hound dog appeared astonished. “Y…Ya do?” he gaped, then panted happily when Tod nodded back. “Oh Lord, ya do! Ya love me too! This ain’t a dream…” Tod hugged him, truly embraced Copper. The pair could feel their racing heartbeats slam against bare chests. They pulled away upon realizing the other sported erections, but not too far. “Tod?” Copper asked. “Yeah?” Tod gulped nervously. Copper caressed his fingers along the fox’s strong elbows. He dared not look away. “Can I…Can I kiss ya again?” he wondered. Tod snickered, pulling the hound dog in by his chest fur. Muzzles collided and molten hot ears pointed down. The slow and sensual dance of tongues became feverish and deeply passionate as dicks throbbed and tails thrashed through the water. Tod and Copper started tumbling down from lost footing, only to resurface again and continue kissing between fits of laughter. Their wayward paws played with their members and showed appreciation with several overexcited strokes. Tod whimpered inside Copper’s mouth as he returned the gesture, trying to masturbate the hound dog the same way that the other boys at school used to describe how their girlfriends did it to them. The sweet noises he made told the fox he was doing a decent job. “Mwah!” Copper parted from him and leaned in so he could sniff at Tod’s neck, inhaling his musk, his scent, memorizing it even better than he ever had before. “Wanted to do this…” He buried his nose into the fox’s Adam’s apple, tickling him. “So, so long…” “M-Me too!” Tod giggled. “C-Cop, that tickles!” Copper relented. They floated back towards the beach and towards a section of flat rock where their clothes didn’t occupy most of the surface. “Get up on there,” Copper coaxed him. “I…Lemme show ya something.” “A…Alright,” Tod murmured eagerly, yet a little nervously. The red fox crawled backwards onto the warm rock until his lower legs stayed submerged in the water, his tail flicking at the tiny waves. Copper climbed up atop of him, chuckling softly at feeling a vulpine tail tickle along his upper chest, his dripping muzzle planting wetter kisses and firm licks along his lover’s drying legs. They twitched in pleasure, then went rigid when Copper’s cold nose grazed against that leaking pink tip between cream-furred legs. Tod huffed uncontrollably, “C-C-Cop…” Copper was hypnotized. His paw trembled as it reached up to feel the base of that foreign shaft. His fingers curiously caressed the creamy and furry balls of his best friend, examining the foreskin and the pink tip hidden underneath as it pulled back the harder it got. There had been so many nights when the hound dog secretly imagined being this close. So many wet dreams were spent wondering what it felt like nuzzling his cheek against Tod’s full hardness, black nose inhaling the musky scent. All of it felt so real, Copper could barely believe himself as his tongue circled the head and then went to lick up a beat of pre-cum. It tasted just like he hoped it would, sweet as sugar, bitter as honeyed tea, and all his. “Ahhhhhhhh!” The fox let out a high-pitched whine the moment his gentle lover lapped up the underside of his erection. “Ahhh! Ahhhh! Ohhhh, Copper…!” Copper savored the taste and feel of the fox’s member as he swallowed inch by inch. He sucked on the helmet-shaped head and then lathered in circular motions around the shaft, sometimes letting his tongue slip beneath the retracting foreskin. Tod spasmed every time he did that, curling all ten toes and gritting his teeth while drool trailed down his chin. He could barely stare up at the bright blue sky without being blinded by the sun. He could only clench his eyes shut from sheer pleasure. “T-Tod…You’re so…” Copper moaned around the fox’s manhood. “K-Keep goin’, Cop…Yes…” Tod’s moans echoed across the swimming hole and acres beyond. Slurping and moaning noises drowned out the forest ambience. Tod’s tail did not stop wagging. Blood gushed through his folded ears. His heartbeat ran a mile a minute inside his rib cage. The fox had to squeeze down one paw on his own thigh and grasp Copper’s paw with his other to not run his fingernails along the rock beneath him. He squeezed even tighter when the hound dog attempted deep throating for the first time. “Ghukk! Ack!” Sadly, the inexperienced canine could barely swallow much. “Ack! Ack! Ugh…Sorry, Tod!” Copper apologized after withdrawing his sore lower jaw. When Tod responded with unintelligible panting sounds, the hound dog squeezed his paw around his fox’s deathly grip. He let go. Poor guy seemed on the brink. “Ya still alive there, Tod?” “Still…” Tod cleared his throat. His sweating chest rose and fell just as fast as his penis throbbed in front of his lover’s black nose. “S-Still ‘ere, Cop.” “Good.” Copper shone his fangs with another goofy smile. “Are ya…Are ya liking it, Tod?” The handsome, horny red fox laughed shortly, then gave an honest nod. He reached over to scratch behind the hound dog’s left ear, just as he always liked it, then rested his paw on his hyperventilating chest. “Ya look like yer about to pop,” Copper commented. “Lemme just…” Tod rested his head back with a lolled tongue. He nearly bit down on it when Copper kissed his drooling pink tip and then used his right paw to give the fox a firm stroke. He gave it another and then another, followed by yet another. “Ah! Ah! Yes! Yes—Ah! K-Keep—Ahhhngh! Keep goin’—Ahhhh! C-Cop!” “Oh Tod…” Copper relished. Several more fondling strokes were enough. Tod’s chest arched upwards as jets of hot white semen gushed like a gardening hose. It coated the hound dog’s fingers and stained parts of Tod’s neck and white-furred chest. Copper stroked every last drop from him, happily drinking in the sight of his best friend (boyfriend?) climaxing. Seconds passed until the well ran dry. He didn’t wait long to climb back up the spent fox’s body, dragging his musk-drenched stomach along Tod’s cream and cum-colored chest, then meeting up with the heavily panting fox to kiss him. Even with a drained libido, Tod quickly kissed back. He released muffled yips and hungrily moaned around the dexterous tongue exploring his open maw as he wrapped both legs around the back of Copper’s. Soon, their limbs entangled each other. Soon, wandering fingers groped exposed legs and flexing ass cheeks. Soon, they reached Heaven. The fox and the hound growled in rising pleasure. They pressed their bodies intensely together and rubbed up against one another, producing higher moans and lustful pants between gasps of air. Tod’s flaccid, saliva-coated cock pulsated against Copper’s own throbbing manhood, his low-hanging balls desiring release too. Copper didn’t have to wait long. At first, he simply noticed his balls churning in the back of his mind. An undulating joy rose up his shaft, and he leaked even more. Letting go of those angelic vulpine lips, the hound dog grit his teeth. A low but intense snarl rose up from his stomach and bellowed out into a powerful howl. His ears rang when a final thrust caused stars to dance across his vision. “Oh God, oh God! Ohhhhhhh, Tod!” Copper felt his cock explode and stain between his and Tod’s chests, who welcomed the exhausted canine with open arms. “Ohhhh…Mmmmm…” When the two of them were but innocent cubs, the two of them played many games together. They chased each other through the woods outside of their childhood homes, laughing and merry. They stayed up past their bedtimes to tell spooky ghost stories. They climbed trees, listened to music on the radio without permission, and pretended to be pirates or pioneers. Now, well into early adulthood, the nineteen-year-old canines were going to play a few different kinds of games. One of them involved the possibility of calling themselves more than friends. The beaming duo lay panting and sweaty, delirious in their afterglow. Their chests heaved. Their fur was damp. One of them gathered the strength to talk after what felt like hours of resting beside each other on the flat rock, nestled beside the swimming hole. “Tod?” “Yeah?” Copper gulped. “Do you…wanna go to the state fair with me next week?” “We always go each year,” Tod naively said. Copper shook his head. “No, I mean…go out…with me.” Quiet and uncertain at first, Tod eventually turned to give Copper the widest smile ever produced on God’s green Earth. Both of their tails wagged even faster than they did earlier. “Out on a date? I’d love to!” he replied. Copper grinned as if he won the lottery. “Tha…That’s great!” They kissed each other again and then cuddled closer, the fox nuzzling against Copper’s neck as they closed their eyes and listened to the ambient wind of their surroundings. The mountains often created music that could rival any modern song broadcasted on the radio. “Let’s rest here a bit,” Copper suggested. “Then go for another dip before heading home.” “Agreed. You stink,” Tod joked. Copper chuckled. “You do too!” “Copper?” Tod whispered after a moment. “Yeah?” the hound dog asked. The fox leaned in close, whispering, “I love ya.” Copper wanted to howl once again, but settled on whispering back, “I love ya too, Tod.”
