Well here's a surprise. This here is a story I wrote ages ago when I was still experimenting with my writing style. This morning I doing some proof reading on Heroes of Alteria Chapter 16 when I accidentally brought up the file explorer. After browsing through it for awhile, i found this story and thought 'Hey while folks wait for me to update H.O.A I might as well post this to tide them over.' So here we are. Tell me what you think of this one, I personally like this one flaws and all, but I almost didn't post it, due to it's obvious aged style. But I'll leave the criticisms to your readers! Have a great day . . . Oh and it case it wasn't clear. The protagonist's name is Jeeve Javari, just like the name of the protagonist in Heroes of Alteria. These stories are not connected in any way whatsoever, so don't get confused if you read this then read H.O.A

-Jeeve The Visionary

Fulgara, dubbed the frozen wasteland. A vast stretch of snow that was exclusively occupied by the Anthro Republic's Army. The war between anthros and humans had ended decades ago, but there were always skirmishes along U.S. bases. The 277th Engineering battalion had been dispatched to take care of some minor damages around the property. The company marched proudly through the snow, marching to the sound of the Platoon guide's cadence

“Yo Left! Yo left! Left, right, right, right left . . Yo Left!" The company continued their trek until the Master Sargent said

“Look alive men! The R.T.O has just informed me that there's been sightings of an Anthro regiment moving about in the area. We're not a combat platoon so if we see them don't fire. Our mission is a peaceful one and don't you trigger happy fucks forget it!" The company sounded off with a resonant 'Yes Sargent' and continued marching through the thick forest.

“Platoon . . Halt!" The platoon guide instantly stopped their movements, leaving the soldiers to wonder why.

“Soldiers take defensive positions! Go, Go, Go!" The soldiers looked to each other then sprinted off and took fighting positions in the frozen tundra. The platoon waited and waited, but sure enough rustling could be heard through the thickets.

“Hold your fire men! Don't be brash!" The soldiers impatiently waited as the sounds grew louder and louder. Grunts, growls, and yips could be heard from the other side making the platoon very nervous. The company's patience was rewarded with the sight of the an Anthro regiment advancing upon them.

The Anthro company seemed startled by U.S. Forces and immediately took to firing positions, leaving the Master Sargent to say

“Shit! Where's my linguist?!" A private raised his hand saying

“Sargent! We had to leave specialist Mertz back at command because of hypothermia!"

“You've got to be shitting me! Do any of you soldiers speak savage?"

“I do Master Sargent!" The Master Sargent squinted his eyes at the soldier's voice then said

“Oh fan-fucking-tastic! Corporal Javari! I should've known a block head like you would know how to speak animal. Get your weird ass over now!"

“Moving Sargent!" Jeeve Javari hopped out the snow and sprinted over to the sargent saying “Yes Sargent?"

“How the hell do you know how to speak savage!? And why are you an engineer!?"

“Sargent I majored in human-anthro relations in college and minored in mechanical engineering. I figured I'd make a better engineer than a politician."

“Damn Javari! I didn't ask for your life story! Get your black ass over there and see what the hell they want! And for the love of God don't bring your weapon! Are you trying to provoke them!?"

“No Sargent!" Jeeve briskly moved over to the animals waving, trying to be peaceful, but the anthro soldiers aimed their weapons and got in defensive positions.

“Whoa! Hold your fire! I'm not here to start trouble." The soldiers lowered their weapons in confusion and looked to each other as if wondering what to do next.

“Hey look this is all a big misunderstanding! Can I speak with your leader? I'm sure that if we clear the air around this, we can all be on our way." The soldiers quietly murmured amongst each other then split the formation, allowing their leader to move through. Their leader was a striking Arctic fox adorned in a military green blazer and matching olive green miniskirt. An Ak-47 hung menacingly from her shoulder as she marched towards Jeeve.

The fox looked past Javari then back at him saying “You speak our language?"

“Wha? Oh yea! I picked it up while in college. You'd be surprised the vast amounts of . ." “Tell your company to remove itself from our land posthaste."

“. . . Um well you see I can't necessarily do that." The fox growled angrily at Jeeve's words saying “And why not?"

“Well you see the U.S. Army has a base just a few clicks up ahead and we've been dispatched to go make repairs. We can't just turn back and abandon our mission, I know you don't trust us and I can't say I blame you, but we're good people. We're on a peaceful mission and we're not looking to start any trouble." Jeeve extended his arm for a friendly shake and said

“I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Corporal Javari, but you can call me Jeeve." The Arctic fox stared at his outstretched arm then shook it saying

“You may refer to me as General Tania. Now tell your troops to get moving or else."

“Oh thanks Tania! I'm glad we could come to a peaceful solution."

“That's General Tania to you and don't thank me. We're not friends and if it wasn't for your pathetic and pleading attitude, I honestly would've killed you by now."

Jeeve forced a smile and turned around saying “Alright Sargent! She said we can move the troops through!"

“Now that's what I'm talking about! Soldiers on your feet!" The company sounded off with another resounding 'yes sargent' and began to get up. At that moment Jeeve was feeling pretty good about himself, he had negotiated with another army and stopped a potential bloodbath. Javari patted himself on the back and began to walk back to his company, until he heard it.

It was loud, clear, and precise. No one saw it coming, but everyone expected it. Someone from the Anthro side had gotten startled and fired off a round. The bullet flew in a clean arc and hit the Master Sargent square in his chest. He clutched his chest and staggered back in surprise, falling dead in the snow. Both companies looked at each other unsure of what to do until someone from the 277th said “OPEN FIRE!"

Jeeve immediately dove for Tania yelling “GET DOWN!" Bullets rained overhead as both companies slaughtered each other.

Tania kicked Jeeve in his stomach yelling “Get off me you oaf! I'll have your head for this!"

Jeeve rolled onto his side saying “You think this is our fault!? If you had better control of your troops we wouldn't even be in this mess!"

Tania loaded her weapon saying “You'll pay dearly for this!" Javari reached for his gun then cursed as he remembered he had left it behind for negotiations. The soldier quickly hopped to his feet and sprinted away ducking and weaving through the incessant barrage of gunfire. Jeeve leapt over a fallen tree and screamed in pain as a bullet grazed his arm. The soldier looked back and ducked as Tania fired off more shots.

“There is no escape from me human!" Jeeve straightened himself and hid behind a tree, watching as Tania stalked around looking for him. The soldier picked up a rock and threw it across the clearing, creating a loud 'plink noise. Tania turned her back towards Jeeve and fired in the direction of the sound. The soldier carefully moved around the tree then dashed for the vixen at breakneck speed. Jeeve leapt in the air and kicked Tania with all his might, sending the vixen genera tumbling down the snowy hill.

Tania rolled uncontrollably down the slope then hit her head against a tree, knocking herself out cold. Jeeve huffed and clutched his arm saying

“Agh. I need a bandage stat!" The solder began making the climb back up towards where the fighting was happening and peered over the crest in shock. Blood splattered the snow, resembling something more of macabre artwork than a battle. Jeeve took to his belly, crawling towards a first aid kit, but stopped as he heard someone yell

“FRAGS OUT!" Jeeve nervously looked around for where the grenades landed, hoping they were far from him. The gunfire ceased luring Jeeve into a false sense of security. He shakily stood to his feet then was blown away by the explosion of several grenades. A miniature avalanche of sorts was formed, pushing several tons of snow, bags, corpses and discarded weapons towards Jeeve. The hero slid down the hill and began running from the snowy buildup. He tripped over Tania's discarded weapon and he too went tumbling along with the avalanche.

The hero was thrown towards the edge of the cliff, forcing him to hold on for dear life.

“This day couldn't possibly get any worse!" Jeeve pushed himself over the edge and stared in disbelief as the avalanche rushed towards him at full speed. The soldier braced himself and screamed as the snow pushed him off the edge and sent him falling hundreds of feet down the mountain.

FOUR HOURS LATER

“Ugh . . . That wasn't pleasant." Jeeve rockily stood up and looked around. He was surrounded by mountainous expanses, debris, and fallen soldiers. Jeeve looked to the sky and took note of the setting sun. He had only a few precious hours to find shelter and get warm before the weather took an even colder turn. The soldier began frantically scrounging through the snow, looking for discarded supplies he could use. He found a M-16 and duffel bag filled with a few M.R.E's, a first aid kit, and spare 5.56 ammo. Slinging it over his shoulder the hero began trudging through the snow, carefully stepping over his fallen brethren.

Jeeve marched silently alongside a near frozen stream, stopping every so often to fill up his camelbak. He continued walking along the river until he spotted a rustic cabin lodged within the woodline. The soldier picked up his pace and jogged up the beaten path, dropping his bags on the porch.

With careful knocks he rapped upon the door, hopeful for some one to answer. He knocked for several more minutes before he said “Lord forgive me . . ." Jeeve bent down, pulling out his multitool, he began picking at the lock. After several twists and turns he popped the lock open and let himself in. The soldier picked up his rifle saying “Anyone home? U.S. soldier doing routine breach." Jeeve scanned the living room for any signs of life, then quickly moved to the kitchen area.

Inside he found a standard kitchen arrangement with a fridge, hardwood cabinets, and a nicely finished wooden table with matching chairs. Javari opened the fridge and took note of its emptiness, sighing the soldier closed it and began making his way upstairs. He felt along the wall for a light switch and sighed in relief as he found one, flooding the room in bright light. There were two rooms upstairs, a master bedroom and what appeared to be a guest bedroom. Jeeve checked the guest bedroom first saying “Small and cozy, but nothing out of sorts here."

The hero pushed the master bedroom open and pointed his gun as he heard a loud scratching noise. “HEY! U.S. army hands up!" Jeeve looked past his gun and smacked himself as he saw the source of the sound. A stray tree branch was blowing against the window causing it to creak and groan. Jeeve grabbed is chest in relief and flopped down on the bed.

“Okay Javari situation report. I've fallen down a mountain by myself in deep uncharted enemy territory with no map or radio. I've got about four day's worth of rations to hold me over until I run out and I'm near no civilization for miles. For all I know my entire unit could be dead and I'm the sole survivor . . . Well it could be worse!"

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

Jeeve jumped out of bed and began fiddling for his rifle. “Who the hell could that be!?" Jeeve turned off the lights and scampered down stairs, pointing his weapon at the front door. “I seriously doubt the owner would be knocking on his own front door, so it must be a survivor." Jeeve carefully made his way towards the door then swung it open without warning. The figure at the door flinched in surprise but ultimately did not move.

“Tania!? You survived the fall!?" The Artci fox's breath was labored and forced. She was soaking wet, dripping a ghastly combination of water and blood. Her face was tired and rugged, no doubt from the hike she probably had to endure. The general opened her mouth to speak, but instead fell forward into Jeeve's waiting arms.

“God you're so cold! Here let me get the fire started." Jeeve gently laid her on the couch and threw several pieces of wood into the fireplace. The soldier pulled out his match box and lit it, throwing it into the fireplace. As the flame grew, Jeeve made his way over to Tania saying “Okay I know you're not going to like me doing this to you, but I need to undress you."

Tania's eyes widened at his words and she started hitting him lethargically.

“Stop Tania! You're wasting your energy! Your clothes are sopping wet and if I don't get you dry and warm, hypothermia's gonna kill you!" The vixen stopped her slow motion assault and reluctantly allowed the enemy soldier to undress her. Jeeve started with her blazer, quickly unbuttoning it and throwing it off in the corner. He then moved to her cotton undershirt and carefully pulled that over her head, also tossing it to the corner. Next came her bra, Jeeve fiddled with the clasp and began fuming as he couldn't get it off.

Tania mumbled incoherently at him causing him to say “I know! I know! Just bear with me alright!? I've never dealt with one in person before!" Jeeve tried once more to get it off then threw his arms up in defeat. He reached in his pocket and pulled out his pocket knife saying “Don't worry this won't hurt a bit." Tania weakly growled at him as he sliced her bra off. The weak vixen moved her watery arms to cover her breasts, but was denied by Jeeve.

“Sorry Tania. I know this is uncomfortable for you, but your wet fur is just going to drip onto you causing you to become even more cold. I know it doesn't look like it, but I'm trying to save your life." Jeeve moved to her pants and pulled off her waterlogged fatigues. He next moved to her silk bottoms, and threw those off as well. All that was left was her modest hot pink panties and with a wet zwip, those flew off as well.

“Pink? Didn't take you for a pink kind of person." Tania growled weakly and swatted at him, causing him to chuckle and say “Yea sorry. Probably not the best time. Alright It's time to get you by the fire." Jeeve picked up the naked anthro and carefully laid her by the fire, making sure no embers flew on her.

The vixen tried to toss and turn, but couldn't find it in her to move, so she resorted to grumbling and groaning. Jeeve dashed upstairs and returned with a blanket saying “Alright here you go." He lovingly wrapped her in the fleece garment, and sat back himself.

Tania hummed contently and seemingly dozed off, leaving Jeeve alone. The soldier took off his waffletop and bottom then laid back on the couch, letting his fatigue catch up with him and take him off to dreamland.

THE NEXT MORNING

Tania rocked to the left, then to right. The Arctic vixen had slept terribly all night, plagued by an awful dream. She had dreamed of her falling off a cliff and having to drag herself to shelter, only to find out it was occupied by enemy forces. The enemy shamefully undressed her and wrapped her in a death blanket, probably to cast her into the lake later. Tania shuddered at the thought and wearily opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings.

The fox stared up at the unfamiliar ceiling and tilted her head in confusion. She was positive she was resting up at headquarters, but the obnoxious snoring sound was telling her different. She sat up and looked over at the couch, cursing as her fears had been confirmed. She watched in anger as Jeeve snored carelessly away, oblivious to her entire presence. The vixen slipped out the blanket, then covered herself as she realized she was naked.

“That pervert!" She whispered as she crawled over to her clothes pile. The fox slipped on her damp panties and bra then put on her wool undergarments. The fox looked around the room and noticed Jeeve's multitool lying unguarded on the floor. The vixen began debating whether or not to take the weapon and strike Jeeve in his sleep.

Tania got on her stomach and crawled over to the tool, snatching it up quickly. The warrior stood to her feet and raised the blade overhead. The U.S. soldier was splayed out over the couch, his limbs hanging freely as he slumbered on. Tania looked at his face and noticed the smile he was sporting and sighed.

“Come one A'Maya! Do not cower now! Look at how the kill is ripe for the taking!" Tania whispered to herself. She brought the blade down to Jeeve's neck shaking. The fox tried, but just couldn't kill the sleeping soldier. She tossed the weapon on the floor and sat back stunned at herself. She had never faltered with taking another's life before, but now she couldn't even muster the gall to look at Javari.

Jeeve stretched his arms and yawned loudly saying “Gooooodmorning world!" The soldier stood up and twisted to his left and right, cracking his back audibly. The vixen and soldier locked gazes, leaving Jeeve to awkwardly rub his arm saying “Uh . . Morning? I take it you slept well?"

“ . . ."

“Okaay then . . . You hungry? I got some M.R.E's in my rucksack."

“Like I would take food from the enemy!"

“What are you going to eat, your nationalism?"

“Do you think I'm an idiot!?"

“Quite frankly . . . Yes, but if you want to starve because of your twisted ideals then that's fine with me. I'll save you some food when you're ready to stop being so difficult." Jeeve rummaged through his bag and pulled out his favorite mre . . . Chili and Macaroni. The hungry soldier tore into the package and began pouring water into the heating packet. After sliding his meal inside he stood up and disappeared upstairs, leaving Tania alone with his meal.

The vixen stared at the food and grimaced as her stomach growled. She hadn't eaten in two days due to a food shortage at H.Q. The chili began emanating a savory smell as it cooked, causing Tania's mouth to water. She really wanted the food, but her pride kept her from taking it. The fox crossed her arms and turned aloof, intent on staring at the wall. Jeeve shuffled down the stairs, adorned in a purple fuzzy bathrobe. The soldier pulled out a packet of candy and munched loudly as the food continued cooking.

“Say Tania?"

“It's general to you!"

“Of course . . . General. I figure you're still cold, so I brought this extra robe down for you. You want it?" Tania looked over at the bright pink robe in his lap and growled in response

“You think this is a game!? We're trapped at the bottom of a mountain with no one looking for us! We will die down here and we'll never be discovered!"

“I wouldn't say we won't be discovered! Someone obviously built this cabin, so whoever that is will be back and then they can lead us to the mountain top."

“You poor naive fool! This is why these grounds are forbidden to foreigners! This cabin was abandoned ages ago after a serious landslide weakened the support ridge up north. There use to be a bridge that connected the lower valley with the upper mountain, but after you U.S. buffoons bombed the mountains, this area got cut off from the top! We're stuck down here and there's nothing we can do about it!"

Jeeve smirked and reached for his breakfast saying “Well the way I see it is like this . . . We can scrounge up some materials and build our way out of this. I'm an engineer and I'm always having to jury-rig some sort of solution to problems."

Tania slapped herself yelling “You think a few nuts and some duct tape will solve this!? Why can't you see that we're trapped!?"

“I dunno? I guess I'm too dense to quit." Tania continued her fuming, leaving Jeeve to much on his chow. The vixen stood to her feet and made her way to outside, ignoring Jeeve's words of concern. Tania marched off towards the lake and knelt beside it, splashing water on her face. She shivered violently at the contact, but continued anyway. After her face had been washed she looked off to the side and noticed a furry arm sticking out of the snow.

Tania ran to the near buried figure and pulled it up, revealing one of her deceased men. The vixen dropped it in fright and clutched her beating chest saying

“Get it together A'Maya! It's just someone from third platoon." She moved the wolf onto his back and began rummaging through his pockets, looking for anything that could be of use. She found a wet pack of gum, several leftover soviet bullets, and his wallet filled with traffic tickets and old receipts. She growled angrily and tossed his wallet into the lake.

Her stomach roared in hunger again, making the vixen fall to her knees.

“I know I know! Maybe I can catch something to eat?" Tania made her way towards the water and barely put her paw in it. The water's frigid nature made her jump back hollering . . . There was no way she was wading in that. Tania sighed in defeat and began walking back to the cabin. She thought of ways to get food and sighed as all her plans would likely end in failure.

Tania walked inside the cabin and sat down in front of the newly lit fire. She stared absentmindedly as the flames rose then fell, rose then fell. She didn't know how long she had been staring, but when she turned around Jeeve was gone.

She looked left and right, but her enemy was nowhere to be found. Tania took to her feet and calmly walked upstairs, her ears automatically moving as she heard Jeeve's voice. Tania got down on all fours and stalked towards the master bedroom's cracked door. Tania could hear Jeeve talking to someone inside, her curiosity got the better of her and she peeked inside, shocked at the sight.

Jeeve was on his knees, leaned over the bed mumbling quietly to himself. At first Tania thought he was sick until she heard him mention God's name.

“He's praying?" She whispered to herself as Jeeve continued his mumbling. Tania strained her ears more and listened closely to his words

“Uh Dear Lord? I know I don't pray as often as I should and for that I'm sorry. Things have been pretty rocky as of late, but I'm sure you've been watching. I uh finally got my dd-214 squared away! I was only a week away from discharging and well now I'm probably a week away from death. God . . . I'm asking for you protection as I make do down here. I have a feeling I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, so I'm asking for you to provide for us and make a way for us to eat Lord. I'm also asking for you to touch Tania's heart and help her to see reason."

Tania stiffened at his words and let out a low growl. “How dare he pray for my sanity! I'll give him something to pray about alright!" She whispered as she continued listening

“Lord . . . I don't want her to die. I want her to eat, but I know I can't force her to God. I'm asking that you just remove her pride and let her eat something Lord. I know you said to love our enemies and care for them, but it's impossible to do that of they won't even take the help! I know you're watching over me and I'm thankful. Please tell Emily I said hi! In Jesus name . . . Amen."

Tania quickly moved away from the door and dashed back downstairs. She planted herself in front of the fire and reflected on the things she had just heard. The vixen sighed as she felt her heart strings tugging at his prayer. She was expecting nothing but hate and evil from him,. but so far all he had shown her was love and goodwill. She heard him come downstairs and plop on the couch, but she ignored him. Tania sniffed the air and moaned at the after smell of his breakfast._ _

“I will not bend to the whims of the enemy! I would rather die!" She thought as she cast a glance over at Jeeve. Tania turned around and stared at him, causing him to say

“Oh hey. You sure you're not hungry? I've got a beef stew M.R.E in here somewhere."

“I would rather starve than take food from you." Tania studied his reaction and smirked as he began looking sad. She resolved then and there that she would rather die of starvation and spite the soldier than stay alive making happy. Jeeve's eyes watered a bit as he stood saying “Uh excuse me a moment . . . I have to go relieve myself."

Tania smiled sadistically as she heard sniffles from the soldier. She reveled in the power she held over him, never before had someone else's misery made her feel so good inside. The arctic vixen yawned and curled up in a ball, content with how she would die. She figured she had a week before starvation would really set in and cripple her, by then she would take one of her suicide pills and end the suffering then.

TWO DAYS LATER

Tania had been quietly observing Jeeve the past few days and she chuckled whenever she thought of him . . . He was lonely. The vixen figured he was a social creature, but after two days of ignoring him, his entire demeanor had changed. Tania took note of how much more pathetic and blithering he had become. Every chance he got he would try to provoke a response out of her. Jeeve would ask her all kinds of questions, hoping she would say something, anything. All the U.S soldier wanted was someone to talk to and Tania used that to her advantage.

The vixen hadn't noticed any changes to her health yet. The only thing she noticed was a weird aftertaste this morning, but she chalked that up to having not brushed her teeth in days. Tania watched amused as Jeeve was practically begging her to play cards with him. The vixen turned her head towards the fire and ignored his pleading tone. Truth be told she actually wanted to play cards, but her pride would not allow her to break her vow of silence. Tania had been feeling stir crazy ever since she woke up, the vixen wanted something to do but everything that was the least bit amusing was owned by Jeeve.

She had resorted to going outside and exploring the nearby area, but she had grown way to accustomed to the indoors and the very icy breeze chilled her to the core.

Nightfall came quickly and Tania cursed as she had to sit through another one of Jeeve's meals. He again begged her to eat something, but she laid there intent on ignoring him. She had noticed that whenever he got upset he would walk outside to cry, but today he had actually started sobbing indoors. Tania absolutely hated it when he cried. He was so free and unrestrained as his tears fell that a part of Tania couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Though the retching noise is what always got choked her up. It was ghastly and appalling, it almost reminded her of strangling someone to death, which she had done before. The soldier did his nightly prayer and wished Tania a goodnight, once he was gone she rolled over exhausted.

Being silent the entire day was something Tania hated, but she would keep it up as long as she had to so she could continue making the soldier miserable. Her death would be the final blow I his miserable existence.

DAY FIVE

The end of the week had rolled around and Tania was seriously suspicious. She noticed yesterday that Jeeve had stopped trying to speak to her and didn't even acknowledge her presence at all. She didn't mind of course, but she couldn't shake the feeling that he was up to something. She had spied on his prayers again and he had stopped talking of her entirely and instead asking exclusively for forgiveness. She tried to probe her brain as to what he could be sorry for, but the only things that came to mind where things he could've done while he wasn't around her.

Tania sat down, deep in thought. She just about saw him all day long, there was nothing he could've been doing that she wouldn't know about unless it was . . . while she slept. The arctic vixen quickly checked herself for any noticeable bruises or unusual spots on her fur. She had noticed how every morning she woke up in a weird position and blamed it on her fitful sleeping, but she had a feeling Jeeve had something to do with it.

She sniffed all over her body, including her private parts, and found very small trace amounts of his scent on her. It angered her, but she kept calm and continued sniffing. She definitely could smell him on her, it was very faint, but there in fact was a scent somewhere. She next rubbed her paws against her neck then sniffed those, causing her to jump back . . . They reeked of his scent.

'Has he been practicing strangling me in my sleep!? Why does my neck smell like him!?"

She then rubbed the front of her neck and sniffed them, this time the smell was much weaker which told her he had been touching the back of her neck. She growled at the though of Jeeve touching her, then racked her brain thinking of why. She glossed over her body for any more clues and then without warning she finally saw it.

When she hadn't eaten her ribs were clearly visible, but now she had to push her fur back to even get a glimpse of them.

“He's been force feeding me in my sleep . . . heh that's . . ." Tania sat dumbfounded in front of the fire, this human she barely knew was so desperate to keep her alive, he had been stuffing her with food while she slept. That explained the weird aftertastes and the guilty looks he flashed her occasionally. Tania looked over at the human and growled fiercely. Jeeve set his book down and sighed saying

“I guess you found out huh?"

“What is wrong with you!? Why would you do that to me!?"

“I-I . . didn't want you to die." Tania's temper died a little, but she still retaliated saying

“If I die I die by choice! I didn't want to live anymore and I certainly don't want to live with you!"

Jeeve clenched his fist yelling “You think I asked for this!? I get it alright! You're a poor brainwashed animal who's never even experienced a shred of kindness in your life. Fine I get it, but you don't have to act like a jerk all the time! I'm trying to help you!"

“Oh help me how!? By force feeding me gunk while I sleep? Is that the American way? Do you people just force things upon others until you get your way!?"

“Get our way!? You poor delusional fool! This whole time we've been here together I've been trying to help you! I force fed you because I didn't want you to die a miserable death! Have you even seen someone who's died by starvation!? Let me tell you it's not pretty! I've seen how people's faces and bodies physically contort due to malnutrition! I've witnessed literal bodies, eating themselves and tearing the person up from within. And you sit here with your lip poked out because I'm American!? You won't eat food because I'm American!? That's the dumbest thing I've ever encountered in my life!"

Tania was taken back by what the soldier said. Never before would she have imagined actual things like that to be true, but she knew they deep down they were. The arctic fox's anger had not yet subsided so she pushed Jeeve away saying

“What do you know?! Why don't you just leave me alone! You know nothing about me! You don't know where I've been or what I've done!"

“You're right I don't, but who's fault is that? All you do is sit around feeling sorry for yourself instead of trying to do something about your situation!"

“ . . . get out."

“Excuse me? I am not going anywhere! If anything you should leave, since you want to die so badly!" The arctic vixen was practically steaming at Jeeve's words. With lightning fast reflexes she swiped at Jeeve, scratching his cheek and causing him to fall backwards. Jeeve clutched his cheek and winced in pain as he felt the stinging sensation. Tania was huffing and puffing when she metallic scent in the air. She looked at her paw and flinched at the amount of blood on on it. Her claws were dripping with Jeeve's blood and the edges of her paw were completely painted red.

Jeeve removed his hand and just stared blankly at it saying “Alright . . . I get it now. I was wrong to try and force you into being cordial with me. You want me gone? Well you got your wish . . ." Jeeve stood to his feet and quickly slipped on his cold weather gear. After he had everything in place, he grabbed a few things out his duffel bag and set them on the couch. He reached over for his M-16 and slung that across himself saying “The worst death of all is one dying alone . . ."

“Where will you go? You will die tonight without the warmth of the fire!"

“If that would make you happy then that's what I'll do." Tania grabbed Jeeve by the arms saying “Why do you care so much for my happiness!? Why do you bend over backwards just to illicit a smile from me!?"

“It's called human decency, though I suppose you wouldn't know about that huh?"

Tania's paws slid from his arms and she watched as he left the cabin, out into the unforgiving elements. She rushed out to the porch and watched him trek into the woods saying “You'll be back! You'll come running back in a few minutes and I'll be here to remind you how foolish you are!"

Jeeve said nothing in return and disappeared into the night, leaving the vixen on the frozen porch. But minutes turned to hours and hours turned to days. Leaving Tania to bitter loneliness and intense remorse.

12 DAYS LATER

Twelve long and painful days passed and the dark skinned human had not returned, making Tania very miserable. Every day she sat out on the porch in hopes he would come out of the woods, but every day she was greeted by another sunset and no human. Days passed by painfully slow without him so Tania made it a point to got through the stuff he had left for her. Jeeve had left behind 10 M.R.E's, a photo album, his personal bible, a deck of cards, and a note he had written to her.

Tania had desperately wanted to read the note and bible, but couldn't since they were written in English. So she turned her attention to the only thing that she could mull over. Tania sat down with the photo album in her lap, looking at the different pictures of Jeeve in various places, but there was one picture that stood out to her. The picture was of him and a female border collie, with bright blue eyes and gorgeous black hair. They had each other wrapped in their arms smiling and posing atop a mountain. Tania studied the canine's smiling face and sighed at how happy and carefree she looked.

“This must have been the love he spoke of." Tania rubbed the picture longingly thinking of her own home and how strict the laws there were. Interspecies romance was strictly prohibited and was punishable by death. The vixen had always been curious about what it'd be like to lay with another animal, but now it seemed she would never get the chance.

Tania laid down over the couch and watched the snow fall against the window. Ever since Jeeve had left the weather had gotten progressively worse, cluing Tania in that he had probably perished just as she had wanted.

A lone tear trailed down her face as she thought of him, she knew she had been cruel and evil and if she had the chance she would change her ways and repent. Tania looked up to the sky and said

“God? I-I have never prayed to anyone before and I don't know if you're real, but if you are . . . Please bring him back to me. I never thought I would find a mate, let alone a human one, but I made the biggest mistake in my life driving him away.

Please don't let him die because of me! Please bring him back to me! I-I l-love him . . ." More salty tears streamed down her face as she sobbed out the rest of her prayer. Tania stood to her feet and made her way over to her clothes corner, sifting through her pile, she pulled a small vial out her fatigue pants and sighed.

“Is suicide really the answer?" Tania asked while twirling the vial in her digits. Not only had she run out of food, but she also lost her will to go on. She figured the soldier wasn't returning so it wouldn't hurt to end her life. She'd no longer have to worry about pain or sorrow ever again.

The vixen opened the bottle and shakily brought it to her mouth. Her grip on the bottle faltered causing her to drop it and spill its contents upon the floor.

“I-I can't even kill myself properly . . ." Tania fell to her knees sobbing, unable to cope with the reality she had created for herself. Just then a warm hand rested itself on her shoulder, causing her to turn around

“Y-Y-You're a-a-alive!?" Staring her in the face was indeed the ex soldier, sporting a newly grown beard and fresh cuts along his face. His eyes were warm and inviting, but tired as well. Tania wasted no time and pounced on him exclaiming

“I thought you died! You've been gone for so long!"

“I was only gone a week and half!" Tania buried her muzzle in his neck, crying softly she asked

“Where were you!? I-I thought . . ."

“I spent my time in a geothermal cave." Tania sat up in his lap and tilted her head asking

“A what now?"

“A geothermal cave. Okay think about it like this . . . The earth is like a big oven you know? And sometimes heat escapes that oven and leaks out. There's a a cave further in the woods that's like 85 degrees, it's hot! So I kind of got comfortable there and just . . . Well stayed."

“You evil brute! You left me all alone here, I thought I would lose my mind!" Jeeve cupped Tania's furry cheek and said

“I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you, but I really thought you wanted me to leave." Tania looked up at him and genuinely smiled saying

“I'm the one who should be apologizing to you. I made your time here miserable, while all you tried to do was help me. Though if it's any consolation I ate the rest of your food."

“Heh. I had a feeling you'd go hungry if I didn't leave you anything." The two shared a moment of comfortable silence before Tania asked “Do you miss her?"

“Miss who?"

“The border collie from that picture? I saw how happy you two looked and figured something must have happened to her."

“. . . I miss her dearly. She was so spry and full of life, but sickness took her too soon."

“Would you want to be with . . . another?" She asked timidly. Jeeve nodded his head saying

“I'd love to." Tania closed her eyes and pressed her thin lips against his. The soldier was slightly taken back, but soon melted into the kiss. Tania licked his lips fiercely, begging for entrance. Jeeve obliged and opened his mouth, allowing Tania's tongue to explore his depth. The two wrestled for oral dominance, but were stopped by the need for air.

“Tania . . . You don't have to do this if you don-"

“NO!" Her defiance startled him, but she continued saying

“I want to do this! I've never felt loved before and now I finally have! I want to do this, I want you to do this with me!" Jeeve chuckled at her pleading tone then picked her up bridal style saying

“Well what're we waiting for?" Jeeve walked her over to the couch and laid her down saying “I hope you're better experienced than me . . . I've honestly never done this before."

Tania lovingly licked him up on his cheek and replied “Neither have I, but we'll experience this together." Jeeve nodded and together they slowly removed each other's clothes. Jeeve sensuously ran his hand down her thigh, eliciting a hefty moan from the vixen. Jeeve spread Tania's legs and bent down, taking a whiff of her womanhood and sighed in ecstasy. The soldier took a slow, drawn out lick over her clit causing her to say

“S-Stop . . t-teasing!"

He smirked then picked up the pace, slobbering and slathering her in his love and affection. The vixen cooed and moaned, digging her claws in his shoulders as he continued showering her with his tongue.

“Oooohhh I-I'm going to c-cum. Jeeve smirked then picked up his pace drawing a sharp cry as Tania came.

“AAAHHH!" Jeeve smiled as Tania's sweet nectar sprayed his face and neck. The spent vixen grabbed Jeeve's neck and brought his face to hers, plunging her tongue back down his mouth. The two continued their tango of tongues until Tania pushed Jeeve back saying

Your turn . . ." The vixen said as she took Jeeve's sizable length and took it in her mouth. The soldier let out a choked grunt as Tania began sliding his cock in and out of her mouth. The more Jeeve moaned the faster Tania pumped him. The vixen took his member and focused all her attention at the tip, causing Jeeve to let out a pleasure filled cry.

“Y-You k-keep t-t-this up and I-I'm gonna . ." But Jeeve couldn't even finish his sentence before Tania plunged his length back inside her mouth. The vixen was practically choking herself, sliding up and down and with each passing minute, more and more of Jeeve's will eroded. Tania stopped briefly and cried

“Don't hold back for my sake! Give me your seed!" The soldier happily obliged and flooded her mouth with hot rope after hot rope of cum. The vixen moaned in delight as his sticky essence dripped down her throat, but didn't stop sucking. Jeeve's movements had came to grinding halt but Tania continued to milk him dry. Once she was done the two embraced once more, finding each others mouths, they kissed wildly and fiercely. They clawed at scratched at each other as they struggled to contain their insatiable lust.

Tania growled and pulled the soldier back down atop her saying

“Take me! Do it now!" Jeeve wordlessly obliged and lined himself up saying

“Are you sure? This might hurt you . ."

“I don't care! Just take me!" The human pushed his length into her warm inviting cavern and grunted as her walls contracted around him. He continued with a slow cadence, pumping her with tender love, but soon his senses clouded and he picked up speed. Tania began panting as her human lover savagely thrust into her, but then she yipped in pain as her virgin wall came tumbling down.

“Oh my God are you alright!?" Tania patted his leg and breathlessly answered saying “k-keep g-going . . ." Jeeve looked worried for a second but obeyed and continued sliding in and out. Tania moaned some more encouraging her human lover to pick up his pace and that he did. Jeeve clutched onto her ass tighter and plowed into her with unparalleled vigor. In that moment the human could feel her every emotion from love, desire, and need. He could feel their climaxes building, but he dutifully continued his pace.

Tania was on the brink of unconsciousness but the vixen gripped her lover tighter and cried “AAAAAHHHH! I-I'M . . . AAAAHHH" At the sound of her pleasure filled voice, he too released his thick seed into her womb, collapsing over her as he did." The two panted atop each other occasionally kissing or nuzzling affectionately. A few minutes passed and Jeeve pulled his slick moist length out of Tania causing her to smile.

“No knot?"

“Nope . . . Pretty convenient huh?" Tania pushed herself up and leaned against Jeeve saying “Interesting . . . Though I wonder how it would feel to be tied with you." The two sat in the afterglow of their love until Jeeve coughed saying

“There . . Was another reason I left. I wasn't completely honest when I came back so I might as well fess up. I had spent that week and a half building a way off this ridge." Tania pushed off his chest and stared at him in disbelief saying

“Really?"

“Yea really. I'm almost done too! It'll take about another couple days to finish and then another week to implement, but my make shift bridge might actually g-" Tania silenced the engineer by pressing her mouth to his, causing him to moan lovingly at the contact. “Wherever you are I'm happy. You made me realize how horrible life was without someone to love and now that I have that . . . I'll never let it go again. I don't care where we are as long as I'm with you and you're with me."

Jeeve buried his face in her neck and took in her scent saying “I'm here for you always. I-I love you . . . And I promise you I'll get us out of here!"

Tania stifled a tear and wrapped her arms around him saying “I love you too."

EPILOGUE

Perched atop the snowy Fulgaran mountains, sat Jeeve. The ex soldier had spent the last few months building a dwelling for him and his Arctic vixen wife. The two sat on the mountain's edge locked arm in arm, content with how life had been going. Tania rubbed her paw up and down his she saying

“Jeeve love?"

“Hmm? Everything alright?"

“Do you ever think of how we survived that ordeal?"

“Everyday of my life . . . Why what's wrong?"

“I-I've been thinking about life I suppose. We almost died and it made me realize how precious it really was, and . . ."

“And what? What're you hiding?" Tania smiled and hugged Jeeve tighter saying

“I'm pregnant love." Jeeve gave her a surprised look then picked her up saying

“T-This is wonderful! I never thought I'd be a father so soon. But I know we'll be great parents!" Tania snuggled into his neck saying

“I knew you'd be excited . . . But aren't you scared?" Jeeve set her down asking

“Scared of what?"

“What people will say when they find out about us! We may be in the wilderness, but this is still Anthro territory!" Jeeve placed a kiss on her cheek and brought her face to his saying

“I love you . . . I will fight to the death for you and our children before I let anyone even law a paw on you. You're the love of my life and as long as I'm here, we'll be alright." The vixen hugged her husband tighter, overjoyed at his blatant commitment to his family. As she held him she counted how lucky she was to truly know the meaning of love . . .
