So then in celebration of a hundred submission, I put this one together with a lot of new and a lot of old, a bit of foreshadowing and a look at the past, a bit more thematic and somehow a little less; so then enjoy the a hundredth and first commission from me and enjoy.

Inferiority

Walking through the cool night of a Washington DC fall always felt nice on my body, feeling the wind blowing through my fur and cooling off for the first time during summer, one could only be excited for the soon to come winter. Hearing the sounds of cars blasting their horns to the north and the expressway and attempting to get traffic moving always made me laugh. Washington DC was certainly a strange place for a child to grow up, certainly I thought someone would grow up thinking they were living in the center of the world.

Yet that was for my father, he was the center of the world, in living and death he seemingly guided his invisible hand from beyond the grave and seemingly his influence on the city had an effect on everyone, I adamantly still a bit jealous of his power. Still being the prodigal son of one of the greatest late superheroes was all guff if you didn't have the powers to back it up, and I did.

Sometimes passively on my back, sometimes invisible to all and only noticed by myself, was a beetle like shell. While sometimes uncomfortable, it was the source of all his powers. Not filled with advanced technology or magic instead it was filled with a large dose of reality, the combination of two dying races that really didn't die in other universes, and all that would have been nothing if he didn't manage to take out my own threat without ease.

And while some of it might have been due to my own personal desire, I had other universal beings to thank as well. Koji and Benji, two sharks from a different universe and different time guided him in finding the villain of his story and like that it was all over, years of evil was unwrapped due to the three of us and this universe prospered due to it.

Still the smell in my nose lingered and in relatively unknown to the rest of the sleeping residents I protected over something strange and disturbing had happened the previous night. And while I wished I could stop it, I wished I could continue my spree and save the night, it lingered in my mind just like the nice and cool air that blew over my body.

It had all started with a strange mysterious thing falling from the sky, a golden light seen in the night sky; not unlike four years before. Of course being the high general of the Outsider organization in the surrounding districts it was my duty of course to investigate this situation first hand.

And as I came up to this spot, this seemingly undisturbed stop in the burned forest I found myself looking in disbelief at what fell from the sky.

“What the hell is going on." Opening my door, and looking out over the forest of the burnt land, it seemed to be a nice night. Would have been nice to camp, the open forest allowing wonderful sights and clean polished air brought joy to my own lungs. Adjusting my bandana and standing up from my car, I closed the door and heard that satisfying clap.

And looking forward, surely this was some sort of space object, what else would have the gusto to disturb such strange and pristine land. Feeling my pounding heart, automatically I felt the energy beetle react to my own stress and start letting energy dribble out. It probably appeared as well, a good test from my own days was that an enemy from this universe would recognize the energy beetle.

So walking forward, my mind afflicted with thoughts of what I had exactly found I wondered if it would be good to call. My hands rested on my pocket seems, ready to reach through in an instant. I started to walk forward on the ashy ground below me, if anything Rolando would be best for this situation, being able to indiscriminately kill him with so much as a bucket of water nearby was surely a useful tactic.

And thus as the wind below around the flat wasteland, bellowing the smoke out from the crash site. To my left and to my right no one was coming through the brunt forest, no strange lights in the wasteland or anything, which was strange, usually by now someone appeared to engage in combat. Not that it mattered I could beat them with relative ease.

Approaching the crashed site, the glowing object seemingly depressed the ground around it, a tiny raised crest around it. That was worrying, it seemed to be something small but still intact. My brain burled with the possibilities, it surely had to be something from the Kagens. And then I grabbed it.

It was a container, and inside as I grabbed it something shifted inside. My eyes tracked the steamed case but I couldn't figure out what it was. And then wiping the condensation of the glass, something hid inside of it and seemingly disappeared.

“Well then buddy don't want to be seen, I won't stop you." I said, it was quite the stupid line in my own internal reflection but still the little guy probably couldn't have heard it. And then I took it, without any corner for what it was or what it could do I took it from the crash site and back to the lab.

But still somethings mattered differently, and walking down the sidewalk I turned into the sidewalk. Adriano's house, I loved that man, quite literally the only human I knew, how strange how after Zero Hour they disappeared between the furry walks of life that joined then on the planet. My fingers were chilled as they touched the doorknob and unscrewing it open, my noses were assaulted with the smell of my house.

The lights were on and quickly the lights hit my eyes, adjusting to it they searched around the house and then my eyes turned to the attraction on the house. The human sat down in the seat passed out and his hair messed up, brown and blond mixing. I laughed a bit and walked over, sitting down on the couch arm and leaning down onto his body.

And like that, my lover's body awoke. In quite unusual fashion he waned in and out of sleep and then stood up, I quickly slipped my hand onto the plump couch and stopped before I could fall. And like that Adriano didn't notice me, first he ran his fingers through his hair, still beautiful but the blond was a bit dull, he would probably re-dye it soon.

“Oh your back, have I told you have much I love you?" Adriano asked as he laid back into the chair and his body was right next to mine. The human started to kiss me and as I felt his lips on mine, my noses were assaulted with a different kind of scent, pure alcohol.

Adriano pulled away and started to laugh, all bubbly and floaty; looking past him he saw the evidence. The bottle on the table and the shot glass, Adriano's smell and the little stains on his shirt. It was a bit sad, but it wasn't illegal for them to drink. Adriano was probably just bored and then I realized it, this was the first time and this could have been the start.

“You do every single day, when I see you and when I see you wake up, just don't drink any more I don't like you drunk." Speaking I didn't want this to happen again, and knew that I could stop this as much as he could. Zander sighed and looked around, this wasn't a problem now, and he knew the exact reason why it could be.

“I know and I'll get out when this dip is over, the dark dimension wasn't a fluke and I'll get more power soon. But Zander have I told you how good you look when you walk in from the night, all heroic, it's like I'm back where I was five years ago never knowing." The man said. The truth of alcohol, Zander knew that was true and leaning into Adriano's body he decided something.

“You don't have to feel like that, I think I'll take a few days off maybe we can spar for a while, but don't worry I still know how you feel." Words of truth exited my mouth as well and I knew that maybe it would be best for a vacation out to the sights or Virginia or to the sea and bay to the north but maybe it would be best to leave.

“Well then what are you doing here Kagen?" Out of my mouth sour words exited as I stood over the container washing it and trying to see what was inside of it, my eyes locked onto to something swimming but then it disappeared again. And behind me the air shifted and off the gleaming white floors of the Outsider base a blue light bounced into my eyes.

“Oh you're smart, but look at the time it's midnight." The Kagen said, he was a shark, but different. This was one dressed in a blue and black hoodie, white lines between and it covering. The shadow over his head suggested voodoo magic or a perception filter hid just enough to say he was a shark but not enough to see details.

“What do you want Kagen and I have the feeling that this is it. This is thrice this year that one of you has come here. Universal intervention isn't going to be your better ranking ideas is it?" The words out of my mouth, careful and deliberate, I needed to stand my ground and show them, the Kagens we were able to handle this.

“Ah but we can better this multiform, so just give him to us." The Kagen said and like that I knew I had to, grabbing the container I turned around and placed it in his hands. And then nodding, I felt my own inferiority at the large Kagens facing us down.

“And you know one day you will make so many races feel horrible because of you and make everyone feel so tiny they will gather together and oppose you, so good luck with that." And like that with my words in another blast of blue the Kagen disappeared and I knew any chance of confrontation was over.
