Dating a Direwolf: Part 4
A man and his Dire Wolf wife go through one final trial. (She keeps growing, and everything comes crashing down.) ~10,400 words
The sound of collapsing trees had become so mundane to his ears, it took a substantial blast of noise to draw his attention. In fact, Vinny was enjoying his morning ritual of coffee and toast when a resounding crack echoed outside his window. Momentarily startled, the man unceremoniously finished his brew and donned his shoes. Stepping outside the safety of his cozy cabin, Vinny investigated the wooded area around the property. The early morning light permeating through the fall leaves gave the scenery a bright yellow complexion. Even the darkest shade of red leaves brightened the ground in a menagerie of upbeat pigmentation.
Grabbing the megaphone he left on the porch, he noticed the tree line to his right ended a few feet away from the cabin. His titanic partner had crushed a vast expanse of land, flattening the timber and brush until it was a clear field. Vinny roamed across the smooth terrain and observed the compacted dirt and grass that once evenly covered a living ecosystem.
Morbid thoughts stole his attention. “She's like a walking calamity. How many people could she kill on accident? How many animals has she killed just by laying out here?"
A distant booming pulled his gaze to the left. A mighty slab of leg crashed down and shook the Earth. The alabaster-furred foot was larger than the trees it had crushed. He must have been the size of an ant to her. The imposing pair of legs took two more sluggish strides, then the giantess fell to her knees in front of him. A powerful gust of wind threw dirt and rocks in his face.
Rubbing the dust from his eyes, Vinny's gaze crawled up to the tremendous face of his wife. Her breath was strong enough to blow his jacket around like it was in high wind. He strongly suspected that she could literally blow him away and not even notice it. Her movements had significantly slowed thanks to her growth, which Vinny suspected was not even halfway done. The behemoth woman's mouth cracked open and released an ear-splitting commotion.
“I've grown too big to sleep near you, and I think I'm growing faster."
Even her voice was slowed down like she was slurring every word. And her voice itself was so deep he couldn't even recognize it as hers. Doctor Smith had warned him that her growth would only speed up at the halfway point. If this were halfway then they were in trouble, because he doubted they would be capable of communicating at double her current height.
Vinny lifted the megaphone to his mouth and shouted up to the giantess. “What do you mean? Why is it dangerous for you to sleep near the cabin?"
Tilting her ears towards the ground, her nose impacted the ground with a loud crunch of ruined timber and her eyes strained to stay on him.
“I grew last night while I was sleeping. I wasn't very close to the cabin before I fell asleep, but when I woke up, I had almost crushed it. Either from rolling around or the growth itself. I know I'm bigger than I was yesterday."
Damn! If it was that quick, then…
“We might need to hold off on any intimate activity for a while." He shouted up through the amplifier.
“What? But… Don't you like doing that stuff?"
“Of course! Well, I used to. It's just that the bigger you get the more dangerous it is. I almost died last time I crawled up inside of you. I want to do things with you, but I can't."
The titanic woman sits up on her knees and hefts her building-sized breasts. A salacious smile adorned her massive maw.
“Are you sure? What man can say they've walked on a breast bigger than their house?"
Vinny was sorely tempted to accept the risk and tread where no man had dared tread before. Calming himself, he spoke into the device again.
“Yes, I'm sure! We can't take any more risks!"
The immense Dire Wolf visibly sagged at his words. She fell back down to her arms, her face filling Vinny's world, and leaned her ears in his direction again.
“But what are we going to do then? How am I going to live if I can't even be with you? How are we supposed to live?"
** ** Vinny was silent at that chain of questions. There was nothing either of them could do, and it upset him much more than it angered him. There wasn't anything or anyone he could be angry at, just the random nature of the universe ruining their lives. The disproportionate couple idled around the field that Kiva had created, unable to think of anything meaningful to say. The giant's piercing orbs bore into him and made standing near her incredibly uncomfortable.
“Would you quit staring at me like that?" he yelled through the device.
“Is it so wrong that I want to look at you? This may be the last chance I get."
** ** “I'm just tired of all this. I don't want to do this anymore. You think you're the only one suffering from this crap, but I'm here dealing with it too!"
“Oh, so you think you have it bad? At least you can go back to a normal life after this. Once I'm done growing there's no room for me in society. I'm as good as dead!"
The last sentence was punctuated by a sharp rise in volume. Her shout was less like her usual barking and more like an explosion going off near him. Through ringing ears, he forced himself to focus on her lengthy claws, each one significantly taller than him. That's when he noticed it: her finger was imperceptibly growing in size. Not just growing longer, the scale of her finger was increasing. Now that he saw it in her claw, it was easier to notice the phenomenon in the rest of her body. At first, he thought it was her breathing slowed down by her massive scale. But looking at it now, every breath she took and let out seemed to leave a bit more of her than the last.
“You get to sleep in a cozy little cabin all summer while I'm stuck out here sleeping on top of dirt and broken trees! You get to eat regular food while I eat some artificial slop cooked up in a lab! Don't even pretend you have it half as bad as I do!"
** ** Each roar was accentuated by another increase in power. Vinny hastily fumbled with the megaphone to get a word into the one-sided conversation.
“Yeah, yeah, I get it! Life sucks and we're gonna die! I didn't have to stay here with you though! I chose to help you even though I could have left you alone out here!"
“Am I supposed to be impressed? They gave you a free house and moved all your stuff for you! All you had to do was put up with your hot wife who wanted attention every day, something very few men would complain about!"
Vinny dropped the device and covered his ears. Kiva's yelling was finally too loud for him.
“IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH ME, THEN I'LL JUST STAY OUT OF YOUR DAMN LIFE!"
** ** It was too much. He fell to his knees, and the Dire Wolf stood up. She was yelling louder, and he couldn't understand a word of it. It was a deep bass rumbling that shook him to his core. He glanced up and saw gigantic tears flow off her face and soak the ground, flooding the mulched dirt and dead brush. A series of miniature earthquakes knocked him on his rear, and the giantess stomped off into the woods leaving a trail of destruction behind her. Vinny rocketed onto his feet and searched in vain for his only method of communication with the beast.
“Fuck! Fuck, why did I…"
He concentrated on the thunderous footfalls in the distance. She was already so far away. He felt a pain in his chest.
“Kiva I'm sorry… I didn't…"
He could barely hear himself over the ringing in his ears.
The silence, she decided, was the worst part of her new life. Oh sure, she still heard the wind whisking past her ears and howl at her when she moved, but that was the most she got anymore. At her current size, Kiva couldn't hear anyone on the ground. Even laying completely prone (A dangerous proposition) and ears facing the ground she could barely make out a whisper of noise from someone with mechanical assistance. She would have to communicate in sign language or written words for the rest of her life.
The rest of her life. For all she knew it wouldn't be much longer than a week. There was nothing even close to large enough to feed her at this size, and the only source of water large enough to drink from was either the local lakes or the ocean. The latter was less likely considering how far away it was, and the saltwater might not agree with her. All she cared about was how far away she could get from the cabin.
Looking down, Kiva beheld the destruction and chaos she had brought upon the land. The once towering vegetation was now like a layer of tall grass on rolling hills that were once mountains to her. Every lengthy stride was punctuated by a distinct booming and pulverized landscape. Looking behind her, the titan saw her massive footprints trail along her path, each crater destroyed more than the ones before it. Her view was mildly obscured by the grey mist of what were likely clouds at her chest. They rolled past her like a light fog on a sodden and cool early morning. The clouds further along her path were a darker shade and had what looked like streaks of mist pouring out of them. Those must be rain clouds.
And yet, when she looked up to the infinite sky, she could still see clouds high above her head. It was as if they moved up with her. Kiva half-remembered some environmental science trivia about how there were multiple layers of clouds at different heights. So maybe she was at the lowest layer (Not counting fog), which would explain why she didn't have trouble breathing. It amazed her to think that even at her ludicrous size, the scale of the universe was still so great that it dwarfed her.
“My body may destroy this patch of land," she mused “but at least I won't risk hurting everyone on the planet. Assuming I don't keep growing of course."
A helicopter had flown past her earlier. It looked like the kind that would film a highway police chase for a local news station. It hovered around her chest, then her head for a minute or so before flying off in the opposite direction. To her, it was practically an overgrown fly buzzing around her. Had she not been bothered by bugs for months now, she may have accidentally swatted at it.
Looking down at her cataclysmic feet and their path of destruction, her thoughts turned morbid. What would happen to the area if a body as large as hers rotted here? Would they have to burn it to prevent an infestation of carrion feeding creatures? Would that be her legacy? Rotting in a forest and destroying everything beautiful about it? Kiva's feet were still exterminating hundreds of trees and who knows how many animals with every step. A glint of light near her toes caught her attention. Some of the trees closest to her that had avoided being pulverized were catching alight. Thankfully, the fire wasn't spreading thanks to the rain, but the idea that she was starting fires just by existing horrified her. She was like a walking god of destruction who had no control. Didn't Vinny say something about her skin getting much hotter as she grew?
Vinny. He was the crux of her fears. The reason she ran from the cabin was the horror of realizing how close she came to crushing it and killing the only person who cares about her. He was the only person on this planet who would have gone through what he did and stayed with her while she grew. He may have complained about the danger, but his actions spoke louder than that. Kiva could feel her eyes swell with liquid, her emotions finally catching up to her. The one good thing in her life that managed to stay with her through this disaster and she almost killed him. Not only that, but the terrible things she said were going to be her last words to him. They would be her last words to anyone.
Fog clouded her vision. She could feel the tears forming in her eyes and then see them vaporizing once they met open air. She was so hot that her tears were literally boiling. The gargantuan woman fell on her knees with a loud explosion accompanying her plunge. Hundreds of yards of land were crushed under the sheer mass of her pillar-like legs. Her muscles went limber and gravity took hold of her, pulling her onto her side. Another explosion rang out when her body impacted the ground. It was loud even to a creature her size.
Content to lay on her side, Kiva abandoned all pretenses of calm and let out a painful howl. The mist continued flowing out of her tear ducts at an excessive pace, the resounding sobs echoing over the countryside. She finally understood how victims of incurable diseases must feel. They get to watch their body slowly deteriorate, knowing the entire time they're going to die but never exactly when.
Her hot breath blew down the trees near her face which had not been destroyed by her fall to the Earth. Minute twitching and flexing of her limbs left hundreds of feet worth of land compressed into a slurry of dirt and fine debris. A sudden sensation of heat and pressure took hold of her. Her chest felt tight and her heart pounded vigorously against her ribcage. Her skin prickled with energy; a feeling of tightness spread around her body but paradoxically made her fur stand straight up.
Kiva felt her stomach drop like she took an unexpected fall. Jerking up on reflex, she saw the ground inch closer for a few seconds, then stop.
“Did I hallucinate that?"
Curiosity got the better of her, and she pushed for that feeling of being constricted. Her skin grew hot, the fur on her body stood up like she was being electrocuted, and she could feel her bones heat up.
“The ground. It feels like it's moving. Spreading out? No! It's getting bigger! I'm getting smaller! I'm-“
Another howl of pain blew past her lips as her shrinking ended. Her whole body lit up in pain and throbbed to the rhythm of her heart. It was like she tore a muscle that made up her entire being. All she could do was lay there and pray for the horrible pain to leave or kill her so it would end. Although her face was completely dry thanks to her incredible body heat, her eyes had the telltale sting of someone who had finished crying. She hadn't cried like that since that day…
“Vinny…"
A new surge of energy rippled outward from her chest, heating her body. Resolve flashed over her features and the Dire Wolf flipped onto her hands and knees for support. Once again, Kiva steeled herself and reached for that familiar feeling. It was like flexing a muscle she had never used. The prickling sensation rushed back and covered her body, and the ground ever so slowly rose closer to her face. The trees were starting to look less like grass, and more like newborn saplings budding for the first time. Although she tried to delay the inevitable, another surge of pain lanced through her abdomen, though she stopped as quickly as she could before it could go farther.
“Damnit," she swore under her breath. “Please let me have this. Please give him back to me!"
This time she pushed with all her might. A dreadful roar shook her body and the forest around her, blowing down acres of wildlife. Her muscles burned like she had taken a dip in magma and they kept burning as she pushed herself harder than she ever had. The ground got closer and closer, and she could start making out details that were once impossible to see. Finally, after pushing herself again and again, Kiva fell on her stomach and surrendered to the halcyon cold of the mulched dirt and forest.
“No. No time to sleep. I can't sleep here in the middle of the woods. Winter is almost here."
If she hadn't pushed herself so hard just now, Kiva would have said standing up at that moment was the most challenging thing she had ever done. Standing unsteadily on weak legs, the Wolf stretched out and got another spike of pain for her trouble. Looking around the literal crater created by her ass was surreal. Thanks to a very bright moon in the sky, she could see smaller craters going in one direction that resembled her once cataclysmic feet. She realized then that her head was just below the tree line, meaning she must have still been gigantic. About the same size on that day in the truck, when Vinny spent a whole day in a cramped container just talking to her and making her feel like her world wasn't going to end.
“This is fine," she thought. “I can walk faster at this size. I'll shrink when I reach the cabin."
Kiva began walking toward her new home, praying to whatever spirit lived in this forest to let her get there safely. If spirits existed, and there was one in this forest, then Kiva had proof it didn't like her destroying half of it. Not a minute into her walk and it began to rain harder than it ever had for the past two months.
The distinct burn of alcohol washed down his throat for what must have been the dozenth time that night. He wasn't the type of person to drink that much, but circumstances had led him to an unopened bottle of vodka he had been saving for a future birthday. One that he would never get to celebrate properly with her ever again. The bottle was halfway gone. Between this and the lack of eating all day, Vinny's brain got to experience the wonders of being incredibly drunk.
“The perfect woman. I married the perfect woman and the universe decided to take her away."
Two days ago, Vinny and Kiva had an argument outside that ended with her stomping off into the woods. She hadn't returned since then. But he could still hear her literally stomping around outside, her heavy footfalls crashed like thunder periodically. Ironically, a thick rainstorm had swept over the land and was practically flooding the grounds outside. It did no good to the recently created field of debris outside his house.
Doctor Smith called him earlier in the day and explained some terrible things to him. They sent out a helicopter to observe her movements and noted that she was about a kilometer tall. Vinny's brain practically melted trying to comprehend that number. A kilometer. That was a number reserved for measuring distances via driving. And now Kiva was large enough to need it. She was taller than the tallest building on Earth.
Then the good doctor dared to tell him that if she wandered too close to civilization that they would bomb her to smithereens before she could step on anyone. That bit of trivia didn't make him feel better. He also said he was going to pick him up and take him somewhere safe in two days. But Vinny didn't feel safe alone here, or alone in the city.
Vinny dropped his head and the bottle on the desk, content to lie there in his sorrow. She's probably going to starve to death before that, but he doesn't want her to die in pain. He doesn't want her to die at all. He was hoping they would die together doing something stupid like camping in the woods and being mauled by a bear or that she would seriously hurt him when they were together. No, she would probably kick the bear's ass even before she grew, and she was forceful but always careful with him. The image of Kiva punching a bear wasn't enough to bring him out of his depression, and the image of her gently cradling him after a passionate night only made him sink lower into his chair. Maybe he could join her sooner if he drank enough…
An unknown amount of time passed. Vinny sprang in and out of consciousness, coating the smooth wooden table with his drool. He was awoken at one point by a terrible roar that shook the cabin and rattled his vodka bottle off the table. If he didn't know any better, he would say someone dropped a bomb near his house. He didn't know what time it was, but it was dark outside, and he felt like he should be in bed instead of passed out at a desk.
SLAM
** SLAM**
** SLAM**
Slow, rhythmic booming echoed behind him. Something or someone was beating down the front door with enough force to rouse him from his drunken stupor. Vinny very leisurely stood up from the sizable chair, stumbling on one of its legs, before correcting himself and making his way over to the towering front entrance. Vinny recognized the irony of a house built for large Anthros only being used by a single small Human.
“So, I guess he lied about picking me up in a few days. Stupid Hippo won't even let me mourn in peace."
Twisting the deadbolt, Vinny strained to reach a sliding latch that was mounted higher than he was comfortable with. He didn't even know why he bothered locking it. As if a wild animal breaking into his house was his greatest concern right now. He finally unlocked the door and ungracefully threw it open.
“Who the hell bothers locking their door out here?" came a strained voice from above.
The creature standing outside looked pathetic. Under the glaring light of the porch bulb, he could tell her fur was positively soaked. The once pearly white coat was a few shades darker thanks to a layer of mud that coated her. In short, she looked miserable. Through the fog of his mind, Vinny realized that the thunderous stomping had ended a while ago, only the violent patter of rainfall created any ambiance.
Kiva gently crossed the threshold, forcing him to take three uncoordinated steps backward. She closed the door, not bothering with the locks, and stumbled over to him with the coordination of an ungraceful forklift operator. Even so, her movements were still superior to Vinny's floundering.
“W-w-what the…" he stuttered, unable to control himself.
Tears were already spilling out of his eyes. Was this a terrible dream meant to taunt him, or a drunken vision of what could have been? Or maybe he had been visited by a ghost? The phantom didn't speak, instead, she encircled him in her arms and squeezed his face into her chest. Her scent reminded him of a wet dog, an incredibly nostalgic aroma that he had acclimated to years ago. His face and chest were soaked by her sodden fur, the muddy water staining his shirt. The couple fell to their knees, silently embracing for an instant that felt like an eternity.
Softening her grip on him, Kiva leaned back and gazed down into his eyes.
“How is this even possible? You shouldn't be real!" His voice cracked while he spoke.
“It doesn't matter." she countered “What does matter is that I'm here, and I'm real. And I'm so, so very sorry. I've hurt you so much and never even realized it. It's tough to tell when my point of view is so high, y'know?"
The Dire Wolf rose to her feet, lifting him like a child by his armpits. She threw him up and hoisted his legs over, carrying him like a princess towards the bedroom.
“Where's the bedroom?" she recognized the dim hallway across the room “Down this hallway I suppose."
“You need to get clean first before I'm letting you touch my sheets." He slurred.
“No. I'm too tired, you reek of booze, and I'm not waiting to sleep in a bed for the first time in months. We can wash ourselves and the sheets tomorrow."
The woman threw him onto the gigantic mattress, switched off the lights, and tore his thin shirt and boxers off his body like tissue paper. She fell on top of the bed next to him, twisted the blanket around them like a cocoon, and pushed his head between her neck and chest, enveloping him in a powerful hug. Vinny could feel her heart pounding against the back of his head and hear her take in a breath before speaking.
“Besides, tomorrow you owe me so much make-up sex. And that alcohol makes it too difficult to do anything. I know how you get when you're drunk."
Her words didn't register. All he knew was that he was snuggled up next to a wonderfully warm body, and more relaxed than he'd ever been in his life. He closed his eyes and immediately passed out.
Awakening from his heavy slumber, Vinny felt nostalgia for the various sensations that accosted him. He hadn't woken up feeling like this since right after graduating high school. The most egregious pain came from his head, the alcohol from last night was busy doing jumping jacks on his brain. His entire body was swallowed by soreness like he had spent all night running a marathon. And finally, a very familiar warmth surrounded him. Muscular arms wrapped around his form, the clumped-up fur covering them looked like they hadn't been brushed in months.
He laid there for an indeterminate amount of time, simply content to bask in the glow of his living and breathing pillow. The large form encircling him stirred from her slumber and shifted onto her back. Vinny spun around to face her and met her piercing red orbs with his own. Kiva took this as a sign of approval and wrapped her arms around his back before pulling him towards her and locking their lips together. The sinuous organ which had once manhandled his entire body was now wriggling past his teeth and down his throat. Kiva rolled over and pulled the man onto her stomach, their pelvises perfectly lined up. The enthusiastic kiss was replaced by a gargantuan pair of breasts smothering his face. Vinny was only half-awake, but his manhood was standing at full attention. It slipped perfectly into her sodden entrance, and their hips collided with a wet slap.
The reaction was immediate: The couple hadn't had sex in ages, and that translated to loud moans escaping their lips. Kiva threw her lengthy legs in the air and wrapped them around Vinny's back. He was trapped, unable to escape even if he wanted to. Pushing himself up with his arms, he managed to find an angle that let him look up at his captor. Before he could say anything, Kiva bucked her hips up and sent Vinny back into the pillowy prison of her bosom. Abandoning all rational thought, they became animals and simply rutted into each other at a quickened pace.
The sloppy sounds of their lovemaking grew heavier with each thrust. Vinny was blind to the world, but he felt the moist walls of his lover, her athletic body enveloping him, and a trickle of liquid flowing over his head. Above him, Kiva's nipples were leaking milk without any assistance.
Finally, he felt her walls quiver around his shaft and a deluge of juices flow around it. Vinny was sent over the edge and exploded inside her, hips wildly bucking. The two lovers collapsed and lay there for who knows how long. Kiva's heartbeat pounded against his head and created a steady rhythm in time with her breathing. It made him want to fall asleep again.
Unfortunately for him, something else about her stuck out to him. Lifting himself, the man got on his knees and locked eyes with her.
“Wow. You really stink."
The Dire Wolf seemed offended. “Oh geez, it's not like I've been sleeping in the woods for the past couple of months."
Inspiration struck him. “You haven't seen the inside of this place, have you?" He stood up and rolled off the elevated bed frame. “Come on, let me show you the bathroom. You're gonna flip out when you see this shower."
The Wolf begrudgingly stood up off the mattress and stomped behind him down the hallway. Opening a door on his right, Vinny flipped a light switch which activated both the light and the fan. The waterfall shower was built for a large Anthro that had to deal with lots of fur. The bathroom itself was much wider than any he had ever used in his life. Even so, the glass walls of the shower took up half of the entire room. Vinny was lucky that the boiler and water supply allowed him to take half-hour showers with little consequences. And today he was going to need every second to clean his wife.
Stepping into the clear rectangle, Vinny beckoned his massive partner in and closed the door. Every shower had a system of handles or levers to work that seemed cryptic and alien when you first used them. Vinny had spent enough time here by himself that he knew the precise actions he had to take to get the water at the perfect temperature. One twist and pull of the handle and half of the glass shower was covered in pleasant artificial rainfall.
He was used to sharing a much smaller shower with Kiva in the past to save on water. With no short hairbrush available, Vinny grabbed a nearby bottle of shampoo and applied a large dollop of the gel to his hand. Rubbing it into her body, Vinny used his dexterous hands to knead her fur and muscles. His fingers rubbed away clumps of dirt and loose hair, gravity, and water taking hold of them and forcing it all down the nearby drain. He silently prayed the fur wouldn't clog the drain while they were still cleaning themselves.
The tense muscles under her fur relaxed under his proficient caress. Kiva fell into a trance and allowed Vinny to massage her firm body at his own pace. She had such trust in him that she closed her eyes and let him roam around her considerable frame with total freedom. His hands snuck in every crevice, gliding down her tall legs and between her generous thighs with no resistance. Every pass between her legs produced a full-body shudder and a soft moan from her.
“Can you kneel so I can get your head and shoulders?" he inquired.
The Wolf obliged and dropped to her knees in front of him. Vinny squirted out another glob of shampoo and got to work massaging her scalp, carefully avoiding dripping the chemical in her eyes. The sensation of sharp claws across his groin had him practically jump out of his skin. Kiva was toying with him, teasing and tugging at his penis like it was a stress toy.
"Hello boys," she cupped his balls and began stroking his hard-on "mama missed you so much. I hope you haven't been slacking while I've been gone because I'm gonna give you the workout of a lifetime."
Thanks to the soap on her body which she gathered in her hands; her kneading was almost frictionless. Vinny was having a tough time keeping his composure under her ministrations. He was hoping to actually clean her head, but clearly that wasn't an option anymore. Kiva engulfed his member in her mouth but released it and began spitting off to her side.
“Ugh, soap in my mouth!" she grumbled.
Vinny snorted. “That's what you get for interrupting me."
Displeased with his remark, Kiva rubbed his aching member under the stream of water until it was free of any chemical residue. Giving it a sniff, the Wolf seemed pleased. Once again, she enveloped him with her mouth and began wriggling her tongue around it. He was still sensitive from the last orgasm and her constant squeezing. Vinny practically fell on top of her, leaning forward until she was completely supporting him. She grabbed his hips and lifted his feet off the floor.
There was so much strength in her that lifting him like this took no effort. He was so close to finishing; he didn't have much longer. Kiva's sinuous tongue left her mouth and snaked over to his balls, wrapping around them and slathering them in her saliva. That sent him over the edge, and he shot rope after rope of pent-up emission into her throat.
Kiva gently dropped him onto the tiled floor of the humid shower. The glass had fogged up, either from the torrid heat of the water or their passionate lovemaking. Vinny glanced down at his wife, a big dopey grin covering his face. She smiled back at him and rose to her full height, utterly dwarfing the smaller Human. They spent a very long time getting dirty again. So long in fact, that they had to clean themselves in cold water afterward.
It had taken less than 20 minutes of searching to confirm his worst fears: Almost none of Kiva's old clothes fit her. They were incredibly lucky the government workers didn't just throw away her old stuff, they even moved it here for them. Vinny had grabbed a tape measure and even measured how tall she was, and she was at her old height of eight feet tall. He knew this before measuring her because hugging her felt the same as it ever had.
They managed to find some underwear, stretchy leggings, and a few exercise bras that fit her. Even a t-shirt or two, though they were all very snug. She may not be thousands of feet tall anymore, but her figure had become much wider. Tight as they were, Kiva wore a stretched-out pair of bright pink panties that looked more like a thong on her immense ass. She chose to go completely topless, citing the fact that they were alone in the woods and not expecting visitors.
Vinny, of course, told her that Doctor Smith was expected to visit tomorrow to pick him up. He had to call him and update him on the situation soon but thinking about that call gave him a headache. That, and the massive hangover he was still trying to get over. Who knew multiple rounds of sex and no water was a terrible hangover cure? More importantly, Kiva was assaulting the kitchen to eat her first meal in a few days and sometimes she bent down to grab something in a cupboard. When that happened, her underwear didn't cover anything. Knowing her, she was probably doing it on purpose to get a reaction out of him. Not that he minded.
The Wolf stood up and walked over to the countertop in the middle of the kitchen. She dropped dozens of pilfered ingredients and began preparing a chimera of a meal. Grabbing a pot from the coffee machine, Vinny poured himself a mug of the life-giving broth. He opened the refrigerator and gave it a cursory examination.
“Oh no! We're out of milk." He grieved.
Turning around and closing the fridge door, he saw Kiva give him a grin. Not just any grin, it was one of "those" grins. The kind that preceded something incredibly sexy, or stupid. The Dire Wolf closed her eyes and relaxed her body. At first, nothing happened, but then Vinny heard a distinct noise. It was like cracking bones mixed with a low rumbling. Then he heard the distinct sound of stitching ripping apart. Kiva's underwear was tearing apart from… from her body growing. Inch-by-inch her head sluggishly rose towards the lofty cabin's ceiling. Her panties finally surrendered and snapped off her thighs with a final tearing noise.
Her growth ended right before her head touched the ceiling. She bent over the countertop and rested her arms on it, her massive mammaries swung to-and-fro over the now knee-high kitchen island. Vinny immediately caught on to her game and walked over to the opposite end of the counter. He lifted his coffee mug just below her gargantuan nipple and used his free hand to pinch and tug it downward. A thick stream of her milk spilled out, eliciting cooing from the beast above. He continued until he felt he had enough, then placed the mug down on the table.
Grabbing her breast with both hands, Vinny sucked on her tip like his life depended on it. This time the Wolf was much more vocal, and she let out a howl while Vinny suckled on her udder. A few slurps passed his throat, and Vinny let off her breast. Turning back to his coffee, he gave it a sip and noted that her milk went very well with it.
“I hope you're ready," came a strong voice above him. “because when I'm done eating, we're gonna see if your pelvis can stand being crushed by a 12-foot-tall woman."
Outwardly, Vinny was indifferent to her threats. He was used to them after so many years. But inwardly he was a little scared of her losing control and crushing him.
“You can control that now?" he questioned.
“Yep! Only takes energy to change my size, not to stay there. And we're gonna have so much fun playing around with it."
“Oh great," he thought “I was hoping my cave exploring days were over."
Stepping out of his truck, the boisterous Hippo steeled himself for the inevitable tragedy of his visit. The brisk fall air nipped at the dense skin underneath his custom-tailored three-piece suit. Brilliant lights filtered through decaying leaves dyed the humble patch of land in a variety of oranges, reds, and yellows. The Hippo casually ambled over dying piles of leaves towards his destination: a modest one-story log cabin standing in the middle of a clear spot of land. On his drive over, he observed a variety of fallen trees that escalated in number the closer he got to his destination. To the left of the cabin was a gargantuan field of mulched trees and upturned dirt. It looked like a war had come through and flattened everything with artillery. But that wasn't what he was here to deal with.
The boy had gone mad. Two nights ago, he called him about his wife's growing troubles and the man was clearly drunk. He didn't respond to the news very positively and barely said anything to him that night. Last night's phone call, however, was hectic and completely unexpected. Vincent simply told him that 'their problems were over', which sounded incredibly ominous to him. It wasn't unusual for people who have lost loved ones to simply break under the pressure. And based on his understanding of their relationship, the two of them seemed completely dependent on one another for emotional support. Agent Smith (Or Doctor Smith, as he preferred) chose to come alone and deal with the poor kid himself. It would be ugly, there would most likely be a breakdown, but at least it would only be the two of them who had to experience it.
Taking a gentle step onto the front porch, he noted that the scale of the house was almost perfect for someone his size. Did the desk jockey who authorized this place think a macro could live in a home for a very large Anthro? Hypocritical as it was, he didn't put much stock in the intelligence of the average government worker. The Hippo rapped his hands across the doorway and waited for a response. A short moment later a clicking sound announced the door unlocking, and a small Human man appeared in front of him.
Just like the last time they met, the dark-haired man barely came up to his chest and had to strain his neck to look up at him. What immediately stood out to him, however, was the bright smile that adorned his face. Vincent had not been the happiest person around considering the life-changing events that had taken place in the past few months. He had never seen him sport a genuine smile before now.
"Hey Doc!" the man recognized "You came exactly when you said you would."
“Of course. I had to make sure you were alright after that incident." he hastily responded.
“Well come in. We've got dinner cooking, and it should be done in an hour."
We? Oh no, the poor man was delusional. This was going to be tough to deal with. Vinny beckoned him into the modern log cabin and shut the door behind them. The interior was well furnished with appropriately styled wooden furniture which matched the exterior. The living room and kitchen were on an open floor plan, with nothing truly separating the two except a very instinctual feeling the dining table between them gave him. Opposite the front door was a dim hallway lined with multiple closed doors. All of the furniture was just the right size for most large Anthro species, including his own. If she hadn't met such a fate, Smith suspected Kiva would have fit right in.
The hairs around his nose stood up upon entering the cabin. A wonderful aroma assaulted his senses and brought his attention back to the kitchen. The oven was cooking some kind of delicious meat-based meal. Vinny sauntered around the kitchen island and stood across from him with his arms resting on top of the counter. At his height, the island came up to his chest and allowed him to comfortably lean on it.
“So, doctor, you've never actually been in here have you?"
“No, I have not. I was only told about this location, and that it would be a suitable place for someone to live. I was never told who designed it or what type of species it was made for."
He punctuated this statement by standing opposite of the Human and leaning forward toward the countertop. Catching on to the implications, Vinny smiled up at him.
"Well, it's not like I'm not used to living in a space meant for someone larger. Aside from some hiccups with the oven and microwave, I've pretty much settled in. The only downside to the whole affair was how lonely it felt until recently."
This was getting absurd. At his confusion, the Human seemed to gain an air of smug superiority as if his delusion were something to be proud of.
“Vincent, er- Vinny," he corrected “I understand that these past few months have been rather tragic for you, but that doesn't mean you can just ignore what's happened. You…"
His statement was interrupted by the familiar rattling of a wooden door being thrust open. The formerly dark hallway was bathed in artificial yellow light, and with a clattering of claws on wood came a new figure. Her grey-speckled white fur took on a sandy complexion in the electric glow of the cabin. She wore a pair of stretchy leggings meant for exercise and a black t-shirt that was one size too small for her. He was embarrassed to note that she wasn't wearing a bra, and the indent of her nipples was barely disguised by the dark shroud of her garment.
It took him an embarrassingly long time to recognize the woman who wandered to Vinny's side across the counter. Smith had never actually seen her before she was over 20' tall. They were roughly the same height, though she was not nearly as wide as a Hippo.
Vinny's smile had reached critical mass. “That's it. That's the look of a man who is totally lost."
"That's the same look you had!" spoke Kiva. Her voice was much softer at this size, but still had a deep timbre like most large Anthro.
The cogs in his brain finally began to spin, and he asked the obvious question.
“How? You were over a kilometer tall a week ago! We had video footage of you stomping around the woods like a movie monster!"
The couple glanced at each other and turned back to him in concert, like some kind of sitcom duo. Kiva adopted a cold visage and straightened her posture.
“There was a point where I thought I was going to die out there. I just accepted it and waited. There wasn't exactly anything I could do."
He held his breath in anticipation. The damned woman was toying with him now.
“Then suddenly, I'm literally down to Earth. I'm back to normal size and it's completely dark because the trees are now taller than me and blocking the light. So, I followed the trail of destruction I made and ended up back here."
“So what?" he bellowed “You just shrank down to normal? Can you go back up? Is it on a timer?"
“I can control it like a muscle: It's easy to stay any size but changing size in any direction requires effort. We haven't tested it out that much though, so I don't know if I can go all the way back up to a kilometer or higher."
Smith practically flinched at her statement. Good God, the potential for abuse this posed was enormous. If the military ever figured out what she was capable of… No. It wouldn't come to that. There would be too many caveats to get her into a war zone. But they still needed his help if they wanted to live a normal life.
“I need to impress upon you two how dangerous this information is. It's not something we can easily hide, either. Let's talk about your future."
Vinny's smirk flipped to a severe scowl; the humor had left him. He waved them to the other side of the room and onto the furniture laid out around a coffee table. He sat in a recliner facing away from the front door while the couple sat on a large couch opposite him. The chair and couch were almost perfectly sized for the two Anthros, but Vinny looked like a child who had to climb onto the couch to be near his wife. Curling up to her side, the Human was the first to speak up.
“So doctor, what exactly is going to happen to us? I don't want anything to happen to Kiva or our relationship. They're not gonna haul her off to perform experiments, are they?"
“Nothing like that. Even a macro who can live off a normal amount of food isn't a great weapon for their military. You're too… unique. If it were a weapon they could control or recreate then I'm sure they would force you into service. As it is now, the macro gene is too random, and you are the first case anyone has heard of that can control their size. They would be foolish to risk alienating you."
They took that news very well. Their faces softened and their bodies visibly relaxed into the couch. Bolstered by this, he continued.
“I don't think they'll let you live in the city or any major population center, but vacations and visits are likely. I can easily get you those construction jobs you've been asking for as well." He paused, before remembering an important detail. “I didn't think this would become relevant again, but your milk passed FDA approval. We can start sending over equipment to help extract it and sell it weekly. But we need to figure out what size is safest to do it at."
Kiva perked up at this news. "Hear that?" She wrapped a muscular arm around her partner's shoulders and spoke into his hair. "We're gonna make so much money!"
Even the grumpy man seemed to brighten at the news. A small grin found its way back to his lips.
“We're stuck living here, but we're not really stuck here?"
“Precisely. I'll worry about the government red tape so you two don't have to change your life too much. Aside from being out here and changing your job, life should reach a new normal."
“Yeah about that," interjected the Human “can we get a nice truck? I'm tired of being stuck out here, and I don't think you want Kiva stomping over to town with me on her shoulder."
“Yes, of course. It's about a 20-minute drive to civilization so you should be fine."
His eyes were once again drawn to Kiva's state of dress. He felt guilty about it, but why did they keep her clothes if they expected her to stay large?
“Is that the smallest you can shrink, Kiva?" He asked.
The Dire Wolf looked down at her tight shirt, then looked back at him in embarrassment. “Yes, it's the shortest I've managed so far and it's my original height. None of my old clothes fit me because I grew in other ways."
“We'll have to rectify that. I can get you some more clothes in your size, then you two can go buy the rest yourselves later."
Kiva pulled her husband closer to her. "Thank you so much, doctor. Vinny was telling me about all the things you did for us, and the things you helped him with while I was growing. You saved us a lot of trouble."
If he was capable of blushing, then his face would be rose-tinted. It was nice to finally see a case like this come out positively for once. The Hippo turned his gaze down to the Human being compressed between his wife's arm and chest. The man gave him a wink and spoke up.
“Yeah doc, thanks for all the help. Would you like to stay for dinner?"
“That's a great idea!" declared the Wolf “We've got a lot of food to go through, and we could really use your help."
“That's very kind of you. I'd love to stay."
They spent the next hour chatting away until the apricot tinted light of the sun failed to reach the inside of the cabin. Vinny and Kiva had finished setting up the table, but Vinny almost dropped a couple of plates trying to finish a story he had started. They had all finally sat down at the table, and Vinny was finishing his anecdote.
“So, this big Capybara woman is all over me and I can't get a word in because she's practically smothering me. My face is buried in her chest, but Kiva does that all the time, so I know a few tricks. I manage to slip out of her grasp and step back a few feet."
The Human looks like a toddler sitting in a chair meant for people their size. It's high enough that his chest barely makes it over the table, but that doesn't stop him from waving his hands around while he tells his tale.
“She's all like 'Got a problem with big women, baby?' and I'm like 'Lady, I can handle big women, but you're really pushy.' She doesn't like that answer very much and says, 'I don't think you could handle a woman my size.' Well, Kiva decides to show up at that exact moment and wrap her arms around me. And this woman, I swear her fur practically turns white! She doesn't even say a word, just walks away!"
A deep chuckle escaped his mouth and shook the table along with him. To his right, the Dire Wolf had finally gotten the last of the meal set on the table and sat down with them.
“I remember that. I wasn't even trying to scare her, I got there right after she did that!"
Smith calmed himself and observed the spread laid out before them. The main meal was a meatloaf large enough for the two Anthros to have a single serving, and the Human to have maybe half of one if he shared it with them. But the real filler was a familiar silver foodstuff with the consistency of ground beef.
“You didn't finish the rations?" He inquired.
“Well we have enough to feed a giant carnivore, and we don't exactly have a giant carnivore anymore. Plus, we're not gonna waste food." Vinny responded.
“I actually started liking this stuff after a while," said Kiva “it grew on me. But I wonder if it tastes different when you're smaller?"
The three of them glared at the bowls of silvery substance with apprehension. They cautiously brought their utensils to the sludge and sampled it. To the Hippo, it tasted like a "meat pudding". The actual flavor was almost like tuna, which he quite liked. On his right, Kiva was slowly chewing the slop like a meal her parents had forced her to finish. Across the table, Vinny was spitting it up back into the bowl and looked like he was going to throw it up.
"Eating this stuff is like waking up every morning by getting slapped in the face. It sucks at first, but pretty soon you can't wake up without it." Kiva added.
“I'm not so sure this stuff was made for a Human palette." replied Vinny after a loud heave.
The Hippo kept eating his meal, practically cleaning out the bowl and ignoring the meatloaf.
“This stuff is good," he thought “I'm gonna have to request some of it later."
Vinny wasn't having any of it. “I can't believe you had to eat this slop! I would rather starve."
“That's weak talk! You don't have the guts to survive at that rate. You damn Humans can't even eat meat unless it's cooked."
“Raw meat is awful, and it makes your breath stink. I don't know why you're so happy about smelling bad."
The couple playfully argued for the rest of the meal, and he was happy to just observe their antics. It was rare to witness a relationship that ran so smoothly, especially after the crisis they went through. If they stayed like they were now, they were going to do just fine.
“So long as I can keep my promises. They'll be fine…"
On a cloudless fall day in the middle of a dead forest, two unusual companions are walking down a recently created trail. The trail is completely covered in decaying leaves, leaving nothing to cover the surrounding timber. Were the sun not in the middle of the sky, the jagged branches reaching out in every direction would present an eerie display.
The man and woman are walking side-by-side, holding hands, and leaning into one another. The man is Human and only comes up to the woman's chest at most. He's wearing a windbreaker and jeans, with thick boots protecting his feet. The woman is his opposite in many ways; she's an Amazonian Wolf with grey-speckled white fur, red eyes, and her only clothing is a dark turtleneck and thin pants. She doesn't bother with shoes for this trip.
She knew that they made shoes in her size, but with all the time she spent not wearing them she's gotten used to walking around barefoot. Plus, she's not going to make her husband carry them home for her. The beauty of the forest is more apparent to her now that she has a lower view of it. That's not to say she couldn't appreciate the forest when she was larger, but it was harder to notice the details at that size. Especially when she spent most of her time worrying about other things.
The businesses they set up were still going through the usual bureaucratic nightmare, but Doctor Smith said he would set them up. For now, they spent their days together enjoying the isolation with one another. Kiva looked down at her husband who sported the biggest smile she had ever seen on him. It seemed a couple of months absence from his life made him much happier to be with her. It worked on her too though. Turns out months of isolation and almost starving to death are great for making you appreciate the things you have.
“So, I'm thinking we can use this field you created as a testing ground of sorts." Said the man hanging off her arm.
The field she had rolled over at half-a-kilometer was still covered in compressed trees and upturned dirt. The cool fall air was doing the area no good, and it was unlikely anything would start growing until next year when the weather warmed up. The couple walked to the middle of the area and Vinny found an upturned tree to sit on. Kiva spun on a heel and faced him, pulling on her sweater in an attempt to show off some cleavage. Unfortunately, she remembered too late that she was wearing a turtleneck and it wasn't likely to show anything off.
“Nice try. Now maybe speed up the striptease. You don't want your clothes getting destroyed when you grow."
She groaned, before unbuttoning her pants and sliding them off. They were the best pair the two could find in her pile of old clothing, a set that just happened to stretch around her widened hips. She wiggled them off and discarded them on Vinny's lap. While he was distracted folding them up, she focused on the new muscle she had found that night. A sensation of heat and power warmed her chest, and she felt her clothes getting tighter.
By the time Vinny had finished folding her pants, her clothing felt incredibly tight on her frame. The panties dug into her crotch and ass, and the sweater felt painted on. The man took notice of this and laid the pants down on an obvious growing erection.
“Do you want to destroy all your clothing before we can buy you new stuff?" he choked out in faux anger.
“I didn't break anything! Besides, I know this is turning you on. Look, I bet if I bent over it would snap my panties."
Either her actions or the cold wind was turning his cheeks red. His cheeks weren't the only ones going red either. The larger she got the more heat her body generated. But she was still small enough to realize that going naked outside in the middle of November was a poor decision. Her nipples were incredibly hard under her sweater. She didn't bother wearing her only shirt under it, and she had no bras that fit her. Kiva briefly struggled with the sweater, attempting to wrestle it off even though she had grown too large to properly discard.
“Well, I did come out here to practice."
Once again, the Dire Wolf focused on the sensation inside of her. Another rush of heat and a feeling of vertigo, and she slimmed down to her original size. She lifted the turtleneck over her head and threw it at her hapless audience member, then did the same for her stretched-out pair of panties.
“Wow, you're really good at that. So, you can just do it at will now? No need for concentration?"
“It's easier if I'm calmer, but yeah it's basically like, er… well it's tough to describe. Like the tail. You don't have a tail and it's tough to describe what having a tail is like to someone who's never had one."
“Right. You Anthros and your tail superiority. I don't need another lesson about why we're inferior in every way physically."
Scoffing at his antics, the macro continued focusing on her growth. The heat built up in her chest and abdomen, and she felt her skin stretch while her line of sight rose higher. She continued until she felt herself struggling, then she cut off the heat and stopped.
“What's wrong? I thought you were gonna get huge?" the Human sounded concerned.
“I think I went too far. I might need to practice more to get bigger. Maybe I pulled a muscle shrinking down last time?" she posited.
The two of them idled in that spot, thinking about the implications. Kiva thought that with enough practice she might be able to grow to her max height in one go. But would she be strong enough to go back down? The thought of being stuck that large again frightened her.
“How tall am I?" she asked.
“From here you look about…" the man stood up off the husk of a tree and stood next to her towering leg. From her perspective, he was shorter than her thigh. “I think you're about 15 feet tall."
She grunted in approval. 15 feet was a good start. Only one problem…
She scooped the small man up in her arms and carried him like a baby.
“Wha- hey! What gives?"
“I'm cold, I can't shrink down, and I want to go home. I walk faster than you so I'm carrying you there."
The giantess ambled towards their new home with her prize snuggled up in her arms.
“Oh, and Vincent? We need to see if a 15-foot-tall woman can fit inside the cabin. And also, whether you can handle having her sit on top of you."
The man gave her a complicated look. Part fear, part arousal. If she knew he had a macro fetish, she would have been much happier about this series of events. But for now, she was happy to relentlessly tease him about it. Like that one time she found all those Wolf/Human photos on his computer.
"Hey, Kiva?"
“Yeah?"
“I love you."
She looked down at her husband. He was so strong for her when she needed it, but so weak right now in her arms. He's always been there for her, ever since they met. He sacrificed everything to protect her and now she's going to do the same for him.
“I love you too."
The End
