The door slams on the cellar the sheriff's office. The two kobold ladies inside sit on the bench, looking dejected and defeated. The pink wizard, Tik Tik, glances over towards the sheriff's desk, where a deputy flips through her book. Meanwhile, the serpentine Karra just keeps to herself for the moment.

“I've never been arrested before," Tik Tik says. “I'm sorry to get you in trouble, Karra. I shouldn't have been so greedy in my experiments."

“Aw, shucks, Tik," the working girl kobold says. “No harm, no foul. This ain't my first time in the pokey. They may not say it to my face, but ah'm one of the best girls they got. I'll be out of here in no time, you'll see."

“Yes, well, I'm certainly banned from the establishment now," Tik Tik sighs. “Guess I won't be seeing you after our ordeal here is through, and I'm sent to some worse place."

“Ah'm sure a wizard has the ability to just get out of a simple jail cell like this, doesn't she?"

Tik Tik shakes her head, putting her face into her palms. “I have a few spells, but if I escape out of here without my book, I have no chance of continuing my study as a wizard after today."

“So, you need your little book?" Karra says. “What if I provide ya with a bit of a distraction while you get out?"

Tik Tik spreads her fingers, glancing over towards Karra, her mouth agape. “You'll get in so much trouble, though!"

Karra winks. “Ah'm always in trouble. Might as well get a friend out of trouble while I'm at it. So, got yourself a way to get to yer book while the deputy there is all distracted?"

Tik Tik snickers. “Heheh… yeah. Should be easy."

“Alright, then. Time for me to work my own magic." She stands up and wraps her fingers gently around the bars, her long tail curling up along the door as she presses her snout up through. “Yooo hoo, deputy…"

The deputy, a young man with short blond hair, perks up from the table, looking over towards the kobold. “Eh? What do ya want, snake?"

“Aw, that's no way to talk to a needy gal like me."

“Needy?" he quirks his eyebrow. “What, you got arrested for sexing up in the basement, and you're telling me you're needy?"

“Sure 'nuff," Karra says, winking. “And, since I'm probably fired from mah job, I got no reason not to have a roll in the bunk for free, now, don't I?"

The deputy pulls off his hat, rubbing his hair. He glances over towards Tik Tik, who lays down, her cloak bundling her up.

“Well, now, I can't say I wasn't ever curious…" he says, taking a few steps forward, pulling out his keys. “Sure, why not? The boys will be busy with that orc. Might as well have myself a little fun, as well." He snickers and unlocks the door, opening it wide.

Karra's smile widens further than that, and she feels a brush of scales over her tail as the deputy steps inside. “Alright, then. How you want to start?"

The working girl wraps her tail around the deputy's hips, leading him over so his back presses up against the bars.

The deputy chuckles as the snakebold works on his belt, pulling down his trousers to see his semi hard member. She wraps her fingers around the shaft and lets her serpentine tongue flicker out over the head. He groans, closing his eyes and just leaning up against the bars. Of course, as she teases his cock, she tilts her head, looking over towards the desk. There, Tik Tik's book lifts up into the air, closes gently, and slides downward, disappearing into nothingness. For a brief moment, Karra can swear she sees the faint outline of the wizard, and giggles when the front door slightly creeks open.

The deputy turns his head and glances at the door. Sighing, he says. “Sheet, I thought the sheriff was comin' bac-aaah!"

Karra takes his cock into her mouth, staring up at him as she bobs along his shaft. It would take a long session to distract him so Tik Tik had time to escape, so she has to put on the entire show for him.

Soon, she pulls her mouth back, his cock drizzled with her spit. She licks her mouth and moves on over towards the opposite wall, placing her hands on the stone, scratching at the wall and lifting her tail. She hooks the tip over her dress, raising it up and showing her naked butt. “Come on now, yer nice and ready to stick it in me now!"

The deputy snickers, grabbing the lifted dress with one hand and cupping her butt with the other. With a grunt, he slides into her, filling the working gal up.

Karra sighs, her chest rubbing against the wall of the room, her eyes glancing over towards the huddled pile laying in the corner. She snickers as she rocks back against him, letting out the lewd sounds that she knows those clients love.

Just like any other client, he touches her, explores her, but it is empty, a transaction. It's a price she's more than willing to pay for a friend like Tik Tik.

Tik Tik reaches the outskirts of town. Her invisibility spell wears off just as she hides behind a rock. Sighing, she holds her book close to her chest and says, “I'll come back one day. I hope you're well, Karra."

Just then, a crash at a nearby barn catches her attention. She scampers on over and leans against the wall, turning around and looking into the darkness inside.

There, the orc boy is tied up to a chair, splashed with mud and and alcohol. Around him, a mob jeers at the naked young man, taunting him with rotten vegetables thrown against his face and his body.

Tik Tik flicks a few pages into her book and snaps her fingers. Time to rescue another friend, herself!

The ground around the barn quakes as the spell goes off, leaving the sheriff and his men to scramble about as the ground cracks open, packed and parched soil sifts into loose grains of dust that no longer support the men's weight. They fall through, down to their waists before the spell's duration ends with a flick of the wizard's wrist. Soon, she steps forward, humming to herself, her voice like a ghostly sound with her entire form enveloped in magical invisibility. She continues her tune as she goes behind the orc, untying his bonds.

The orc speaks in his native tongue—not exactly one of Tik Tik's most proficient languages. She can hear the desperation, awe, and fear upon his voice, yet the only words she can make are “Spirit" and “outcast."

“We'll talk later," she says in hushed trade tongue, “keep it up. Don't want them think Tik Tik involved."

“Ti-" the orc's eyes widen, and he snickers, standing up, his head held high. “Looks like the spirits have shown favor to me," he says to the sheriff. “Better make sure you don't follow, if you can, that is."

“Damnation!" The sheriff spits back. “A greenskin like you can't just spit in the eye of the law!"

“And you can't use the law to fulfill your perverse desires. Take a good long look, Sheriff. This is the last you'll see this body." He laughs, louder and much more boisterous as he pulls up his pants and saunters out of the door.

There, the posse had set up their horses. He picks the finest-looking steed and hops on. Looking to his side, he sees the kobold materializing before him, and he holds out his hand, giving her a chance to pull up with him.

She gets on, wrapping her arms around the half-orc's body. “Let's go! Tik Tik not welcome here for now."

“That's two of us!" he says, setting off towards the sunset.

As nighttime gets closer, the two hop off of their horse and the orc gives the animal a firm slap, sending it back in the direction of the town. “There. They won't dare to follow us now."

A clinking of metal catches his ears, and he blinks when he sees Tik Tik holding up a handful of gold in her palm. “The blaze's that for?" he asks.

“Finish transaction," Tik Tik says. “Tik Tik no thief. Guess this is it."

“Guess so," He says, swiping the coins. He takes one of them and bites it. Nodding, he pockets it in his tattered, stained, and disheveled pants pocket. “So, where you heading now. I can probably point you the way."

Tik Tik shrugs. “Haven't heard of any juicy tidbits. So will wander. Unless you have ideas."

He crosses his arms over his chest. “I don't do guide work for free," he says.

“Tik Tik didn't ask you to," she says, holding up her pouch of money, shaking it. “Could this be the start of a beautiful friendship?"

He snorts and heads off further from the town. “Yeah, right…"

Karra enters through the double doors of the establishment, dressed in the drab clothes afforded to her by the “generous" people at the sheriff's office. The smell of alcohol that drenches the overly large shirt doesn't bother her. What does is the shame of being left with nothing while she makes her trek back to her place of business.

Ignoring all the disinterested looks, she slides on over to the bar, where the bartender Greg is currently working. The half-giant made his way over towards her, placing a glass of her favorite drink down on the bar in front of her with a gruff “here."

She sighs and takes the glass, swishing it around as she looks wistfully towards it. “Yeah, it's been a few days, already, but ah already miss her. Think maybe ah should've gone and left with her?"

Greg shrugs and flexes his arm, pointing to it and then motioning throughout the room.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. You gave up yer old life to settle down here, but…" she shrugs. “I reckon I just am a bit more of a dreamer than ah thought ah was, is all."

He knocks on the bar and frowns.

“Aw, shucks, Greg, ah ain't upset at ya fer catchin' everyone in the act. You were just doin' yer job. Either it was me or it was you, and we all know that you can be replaced. There are a lot more bartenders who can crack some skulls than an exotic beauty like mahself. Still… you did yer job, and I was doin' something on the side. Ah took the head a few days, pleasured a couple boys, and batted mah eyelashes, and ah'm ready to get back in the saddle."

He grunts at that and shakes his head.

“Ah know ah'm not too happy 'round here, but ah can't just up and leave. Ah'm not some wizard. Ah don't have enough money. Hell, I gotta work off the debts for the missin' days of work ah caused the boss."

Greg holds up his finger and dips down under the table. Karra curiously leans forward, watching for any sign of what he was doing, when he stands back up, carrying a little box with the insignia of his old circus written upon it. He opens it up, showing her glimmering gems and a pile of copper and silver pieces.

“Aw, shucks, Greg, you can't do that. You've been savin' up that money and-"

He places his mouth to his lip and smiles, handing her the chest.

Tentatively, she takes it, quickly closing the thing and stuffing it under her arm. “A… Ah need to think about this. It's all a lot, and ah don't know really if'n ah wanna go. So… for now, ah guess ah'll be in my room ifn' you need me."

He nods and she slithers on past the bar, up to her chambers and where she can think privately.
