His first class of the day was Chemistry, which had always been Jake's favorite subject. The teacher was Dr. Walle. An older fox, with streaks of grey in his ordinarily redish-brown fur. He wore glasses that Jake thought made him look more like a grandpa than a Chemistry teacher. Jake was shocked when a few minutes after the tardy bell rang a beautiful young rabbit he'd never seen before walked into the class. It was peaceful, but civilization wasn't too far off if you wanted it. It was the best of both worlds he thought. "My dad just got a job teaching at Wash. U" "Wow, really? That's awesome! I'm gonna be going to Wash. U after I graduate." "Really? Well, maybe my dad can help you out on your application, like give you a recommendation or something." "That would be awesome!" Dr. Walle gave a slight cough, and Jake and Ashley both looked up to see him staring at them. They quickly noticed that the rest of the class had already gotten started on their respective experiments. Jake and Ashley's assignment was to determine the effect of Caffeine on mice. In their hurry to catch up they both reached for the beaker of purified .05M Caffeine. Jake's hand grasped over Ashley's momentarily and he pulled it back quickly blushing and apologizing. Even taking it slow in order to not scare Ashley, it only took Jake a matter of minutes to find her house. As it turned out she only lived a few blocks away from him. As she got off Ashley caught Jake off guard by giving him a big hug and saying "Thanks for the ride!" She quickly realized what she had done and let go with a blush. Jake just sat there dumbstruck with a stupid smile on his face. "Sorry" Ashley said with a sheepish look on her face. "Hey it's cool! I actually kinda liked it." Jake replied. Then it was his turn to blush as he realized what he had said. What was wrong with him? He was never this forward with a girl, especially not one as hot as this. "Well, you know my Dad's not gonna be home till late tonight so if you want you can come in and we can hang out for a while." "Yeah! I'd like that!" Jake realized how excited he'd sounded and blushed an even deeper shade of crimson. Ashley just giggled and grabbed jakes hand and half dragged him up to the door.
