"Not hugely, no, I guess there's always bound to be one or two slight hiccups with the plans we all make. As long as he's not TOO late, that's the important part~" She smirked.

Peter nodded, the smirk tipping him off that she definitely had something in mind for the both of them. He couldn't be sure, but Shade rarely was this enigmatic about what she wanted unless there was some sort of present involved. A minute or two later, there was a knock at the door, and a text. Alex had arrived, apologizing for his lateness.

"Must've been that traffic snarl I sensed on the way here." The avian witch remarked.

"Traffic snarl? Trust me, that's putting it politely!" Alex chimed in, slumping down on the sofa. "It's virtually at a standstill out there, I think most of the people on the bus I walked by were wishing they were doing what I had done and got off at the stop beforehand!"

"Well, at least you're here now. I would've taken matters into my own hands, but you vanishing from your car would've raised some questions." She smiled warmly before pacing about for a moment, looking between the two. Then she chuckled, a lot of her facade slipping.
