Alister

It was a cold morning in the Waterscape, the air was fridged, and the ground was damp with cool dew. Alister spent the previous night in Basil's loving embrace. Alister was at a loss for words, this wasn't the way he planned for his day to start. Looking at Basil he simply just...sighs. What else was he supposed to do?

"Why not?" The voice wasn't from Basil, instead, it was Shawn who had asked him. The saur had followed them. Alister growls under his breath.

"Shawn!"

"I didn't mean to--"Shawn didn't get to finish what he wanted to say as Alister pushes him onto the ground. He wanted to hurt him, to make him pay for confusing him like this.

"You don't get to speak!" Alister says as tries to hold back from screaming. "You did this...you messed me up with your...weird ideas. Now I'm...I'm so confused..." Alister feels Basil grab him and... give him a hug.

"We'll get through this together, the three of us together," Basil says as she hugs him as tightly as possible. Alister grumbles as he tries to free himself but feels her tighten each time he tried.

"I told you that I'll never give up on you Alister, I love you and we're going to figure this out."

"Guys..." Shawn speaks up as Basil loosens her grip on Alister though she doesn't let him go. Shawn was sulking near them.

"Really?" Shawn asked his face perking up.

In truth, Alister was hoping that after all this was over, they'd just forget about it. Maybe this was some sick and twisted dream that was trying to mess with his mind. It was a little later when the group came together to discuss their next move. Alister, Shawn, and Basil were able to get some food in them, calm down, and before long were ready to talk. "All right, guys I hope you ate well since I don't know when we'll get to eat or even rest like this again," Chip says as he sat in front of the map, the Zorua looked like he had struggled to sleep last night. Kyuubi and Hathor sat on the other side of Chip. Cassius sat near Alister though he kept a bit of distance. Shawn sat closer to Cassius though was still in arms reach of Basil. Basil was staying in between Shawn and Alister until they worked out their differences.

'Why now?' Alister questioned. 'What is wrong with that saur?'

~ That saur my good friend is your best friend, and he wants to share his feelings with you. I rather admire him for coming out like this. Takes real courage. ~

'Why do you want to talk to me?' Alister decided to humor this silly dragon. Neo didn't know shit nor was he going to help him to understand. He wasn't him; he was himself and this was just so stupid dream. If Neo was him then he wouldn't try to make him be something he wasn't.

'I know who I am, I don't need some dick-sucking dragon to tell me what I am.' Alister grumbled. Neo was silent for a moment; he didn't speak or make any kind of noise. Though the next thing that Alister realizes is him being knocked off his paws and pinned to the earth. Minccino quickly fights to get back on his feet as he throws Neo off him, though as quickly as he was able to get back up he was pinned down again.

'What are you doing?'

~ Else I'm going to take over for good. A shadow Pokémon and their Omen work in unison. We recognize who the other is and live in harmony but...sometimes the shadow Pokémon refuses the call and well... ~ a shadowy aura appears around the Jangmo-o, and his scales become darker changing from yellow to purple and black.

'What are you doing?'

~ I challenge you Alister for the sake of our soul, if you lose you're done. I'm not going to be a part of someone who refuses me. ~

'What don't-- '

~ Its...~ Neo shakes his head; the dragon was seemly fighting to keep himself from losing it any more than he already had. The dark aura began to go away though the dragon's scales remained purple and black. Alister gulps as the dragon slammed his eyes shut, he seemed to be having an internal battle of his very own. As Alister reaches out to touch him Neo's eyes open wide.

~ Alister please...stop denying me...or...or else. ~ Neo steps away from the Minccino, he was seemly out of breath and energy. Neo began fading away.

'Where are you doing?'

~ We'll talk again, please...Alister, please think about what I said. It's ok to have feelings for Shawn or anyone else. It's apart of who...of...what...we...are... ~ Neo fades away and before long the world returns to normal.

"...so what do you think?" It was Chip the Zorua who had finished outlining his plan. Alister looked around as if he was trying to figure out where he was or what was happening. Minccino noticed that he had been writing things down on some parchment.

| Follow the river through the forest until we wind Meadow. She told me that her journey involved the river and that she hoped to find what she was looking for on it. |

After a quick read Alister agrees to it.

"Um... let's do it?"

"Ah... all right?" Chip smiles. "Glad you agree to the plan, it's simple but I think it's solid. Kyuubi says that we should be able to find Meadow before nightfall. I want to thank you guys again for doing this. I know we didn't plan on well um...taking a detour this but Meadow is a friend, and we can't leave her behind."

Chip went on to say more but Alister stopped listening. Soon the group was heading out into the forest to start their next adventure. Alister noticed the ring on his tail had oddly become warm as if something hot was touching it.

'Huh, why is that thing so warm? Did Neo do something to it? Stay calm Alister everything is going to be ok.'

Alister and the rest of the group's adventure were about to become more intense than ever before. They'll need to be ready to depend on one another if they hope to find Meadow and escape to safety. As for Alister, he would need to figure himself out quickly else he might be not prepared for the consequence that was to follow.
