Anti-Zombie Furries - Collective Origins of Harry Tesla, George Pyra, and Danny Polter
(Harry's point of view)"You know, we would be better off if we could find the freaking parts to these Tesla coils I wanna make." I offered. We were sitting around a torn up table in a torn up house on a torn up street in a torn up city that's part of a torn up state in a torn up country that hardly has anything left to call it that in this torn up world. So, basically your average apocalyptic day."What are the parts? Cuz last time I checked, there were a lot." George commented."I've been collectin them over the years, and I only need a few more. The power source won't be a problem, considering the blueprint I've got worked out involves a power multiplying and recycling machine. I've done the math, it's foolproof." I explained."Any idea where we can find em?" Danny asked. "You're the furry Tesla, after all.""Haha, how flattering." I remarked sarcastically. "The easiest would be the metallic sphere, which I saw a pretty good one in the display window of a busted up shop. That's only about half a mile away from here.""What else? Knowing you, you're saving the worst for later." Danny asked."Well, I placed a solar-powered, miniature, wireless security camera nearby facing the store, and...well, you should see for yourselves." I explained. I showed them the live footage on my iPad that I've taken an amazing amount of care of and upgraded to be solar-charged. Their expressions said it all.I couldn't see it, but I knew what they saw. It was a brutish, masculine, giant zombie guarding it. There weren't any other zombs, but I doubt it would stay that way."You said this was the easiest part?" Danny asked with astonishment in his voice."Well, yeah. The brute's alone, there aren't any walkers within a mile of him, and he looks pretty beat up. Easy kill, easy loot." I said."What about the other parts?" George asked. "What do you know about them, and why are they any harder than that freak-of-nature?""Well, one part is actually an electrical zombie. That one's hard cuz it electrocutes everything it touches, and the zombies it touches are charged with electricity and eventually explode into a ball of plasma." I said. "Another is the last copper coil I need to finish the wiring, but a devil runner got tangled up in it.""Are you serious? A devil runner is wearing one of our parts?" Danny asked in shock."Little bit." I replied. A devil runner is not something you
would wish to screw with. It has sharpened bones where it used to have hands, and can accelerate to highway speeds in a blink of your eye. On top of that, he can speed up to such quick speeds he sets the ground aflame. The worst part is, there's no known way to kill one. Nobody screws with a devil runner, for most don't wish to die."How are we supposed to get anything from a devil runner?" George demanded."Simple. We hope he drops it while running." I answered. I've been studying the different types of hell-spawn. While a devil runner doesn't have a known way to kill it, it does have a weakness. It can't corner without slowing to a walk, otherwise it'll fall over. It also can't pick itself up very quickly at all."Great." Danny mumbled. "So, how do we go about doing this, exactly?""Like I said, we get the sphere first, and worry about the others later." I said. "Now, you up for it?""I think it's better than just sitting around, waiting for a miracle." George concluded after a moment of thought."I'm always looking for a challenge, so count me in." Danny replied."Alright then. Get your weapons and meet me out back." I conducted. We dispersed to our different rooms.I walked into my room and turned on my homemade plasma light. I've always been fascinated with electricity, and not just because I'm the furry mirror image of the great Nikola Tesla. Even before I knew who that man was, I was messing around with electronics to try to invent something. I found a way to power my entire family's house with infinite, free energy when I was six years old. I guess you could call me a genius.I looked in the mirror, which I don't take pleasure in doing at all. I used to like what I saw: a strong, smart, healthy, young skunk anthro with golden fur and coal-black underfur and stripes. I was born with a pattern under my right eye that looked like a discharge of electricity. My eyes themselves were golden, and the pupils were snow white. When I was young, I used to stare into those eyes as closely as possible, and watch little electrical sparks dance across the irises. Also, when I started messing with electricity, I would shock myself at least twice a day, but I would never feel it. I didn't have very many special traits other than that, and that was fine by me. In fact, electrical shocks help my brain work. Every time I got electrocuted, I would have an amazing idea. That's even how I managed to come up with the idea that allowed me to power my house for free. Now, whenever I look in the mirror, I never recognize the creature that stares back at me. It
looks a little like me, it copies my moves, and it even mimics my voice. I refuse to believe that that's what I look like. My fur is glistening red from the congealed blood of the undead, my eyes have a look of insanity to them, and I swear my reflection is plotting to destroy me, or at least that's the expression I always appear to have.I look away from the mirror. The monster I've become to myself disgusts me. I walk to the far corner of my room and grab my electrical equipment. I have a backpack that's a glass container filled to the brim with plasma that feeds off my free energy. It also has my trademark "save energy" features. It recycles whatever doesn't hit an enemy, and it sucks electricity out of the static in the air to recharge whilst not plugged in.Attached to it are a sword and a gun. The gun is a Tesla Blaster, and can electrocute anything up to a mile away. The sword is charged with an exceptional amount of electricity, and one hit can wipe out an entire herd of zombies. They just have to be a maximum three inches away from each other.I put on the pack, attached the sword to my belt, and rested the gun on my left shoulder. I wandered out back to wait for the others. After a good five minutes more, George emerged from our safe house. He's a pyromaniac panther with...special fur. It's pitch-black normally, but in the direct sunlight it glows a vibrant assortment of fiery colors. His eyes are fiery red, and his pupils are piercing blue. He came out with his makeshift flamethrower, which makes me uneasy. It looks like a standard flamethrower, but he is as interested in fire as I am interested in electrical equipment. It has a spray option, which does what any flamethrower you dream up does. It has a soak option, which throws a thick-ish coat of gasoline on the ground that burns for a while. It can also shoot fireballs, heat things without the fire, and can heat up hot enough to melt diamond. Don't ask me how because he won't tell me."You know that thing disturbs me." I said uneasily."I know, and yours disturbs me." He countered.Danny then emerged from the shelter with his version of a weapon: a magic wand. I would mock it, but that thing is legitimate. It looks like a typical magician wand that a scientist got his hands on. It's covered in wires and lights and who knows what else, and it scares me to crap knowing what that thing can do. What it can do is move almost any object like a overpowered magnet attracts metal."Scratch that, his weapon disturbs me." I said."Can we just agree our weapons disturb the other two?" Danny suggested."Agreed." Me and George said simultaneously. We departed to locate and obtain the metallic sphere that I would need to safely create a Tesla coil. Our plans were simple and foolproof, so of course they were doomed to be thwarted in any way possible by the undead. First extremely complicated complication: a horde of zombies were charging down the very street we were walking on. Second issue: Avalgadro had joined them. That guy was horrifying enough in a video game, but in real life he was something straight out of hell. He's literally an electric zombie, being that he is composed entirely of electricity. He shoots lightning bolts and is almost completely immune to damage. For whatever reason his only weakness is a melee weapon, so my plan was to anger him and lure him to our base, then harvest his power into the coil. If anything went wrong, I would simply kill him with my sword and he'd reappear some other day. His tendency to seek out life kind of screwed that plan up."I'll get Avalgadro! You two take care of the regulars!" I commanded. They start busting walker heads while I focused on the one composed of electricity. He seemed oddly interested in me as well. I was about to shoot him with my electric gun because it would either strengthen or weaken him, but he had other ideas for his fate.He turned into a ball of energy, plasma, and electricity and shot into me. The last thing I remember before blacking out was my black markings glowing bright aqua.---(George's point of view)"Harry!" I said in response to hearing him fall to the ground, unconscious. I then alerted Danny. "Hurry up and take care of these undead scumbags, Harry's down!""Got it!" He flicked his wand around, sending various debris into the zombs and obliterating twenty at a time. I threw a puddle of gasoline out of my flamethrower to keep the undead away away as I grabbed the knocked out skunk to my left. It wasn't very hard to lift him up, and I carried him to the base. After throwing him on a couch that was located in front of a fireplace when I first walked in, I rushed back outside, closed the door, and braced myself for an unholy butt kicking. I burned as many zombies as I could as fast as I could, but they just kept coming."There are too many!" Danny exclaimed. The magic happy, silver furred tiger was barely able to keep the undead maggot sacks off him. His fur is a snow white with ghastly-green stripes and his eyes are turquoise. Also, the colors of his pupils and the whites of his eyes are inversed. Black "whites" and white pupils."Hold on as long as you can! I'm not falling victim to Satan's
minions!" I cried. These demons will not be my end, no matter how many are sent at me. I will prevail. I will emerge victorious! Those were my last thoughts before I fell into my own flamethrower's path of destruction. I was in too much pain to even scream as my life faded away.---(Danny's point of view)"George! No!!!" My vision blurred from rage. Why did this have to happen today? I was planning to have a good day. I was planning on having the first good day since the beginning of the end. Today was my birthday, and I wanted it to be a fun day with no undead to get in my way. My entire body went numb as I lashed out at the zombies, picking up as many objects off the ground with my wand as I dared to blast these worthless, undead, demon-infested corpses back to where they came. I didn't even realize I was dead til I noticed I wasn't holding my wand anymore. What is this? Am I dead? I looked down, and saw my feet were there, but I could see through them. My stripes were glowing a transparent ghastly green and my body was glowing in general. I looked over and was in too much shock to scream. I wasn't even sure if I had a voice anymore. That's my body, but how is that possible? I reached down and did something that I thought was a stupid idea to start with. I checked my pulse, and to my shock, I had one. My eyes bulged in surprise.I quickly looked around and noticed George still in his fiery grave. I checked and, sure enough, he had a pulse too. I then tried, successfully, to move my own body. I carried it inside and checked its pulse again. It still had one, but was slowing. I would probably die for real if I didn't rejoin my body soon, but I had stuff to do first. I went back outside and carried the still alive pyromaniac panther back in and placed on the couch opposite my body. I noticed my body, my ghost one, had stopped glowing, and the stripes were slowly fading. It was probably a timer of sorts, and it was running out quickly. I walked over to my body and froze as I realized something. How do I reunite with my body? What if I run out of time? I was consumed with fear, and I didn't realize that my stripes went black. My vision blacked out as I drifted off to who-knows-where.One more chance. I heard in my unconscious state. Because this was your first time, I will give you one more chance. My vision returned, but I was not in control of my ghost. I watch as whoever was controlling me placed my ghostly hands on my earthly body. I then felt him force a ghastly power into my body. My vision shifted and I was looking out my earthly body as my eyes snapped open and I sat up, breathing heavily."Woah."
Was all I said. I was at a pure loss for words. I barely noticed that my stripes have turned black. I stared at them for a little bit, thinking about how much I loved the color they were originally. I then noticed that they were changing. I looked close and noticed that they were ever so slightly turning their original color. Maybe that would signal that I had another afterlife chance available if I were to fall "dead." I then noticed that my right forearm had three stripes I had never noticed before. Two were the original green, the two that were closer to my wrist, and the third one was turning turquoise along with the rest of my stripes that I had had since birth.I looked over at Harry. Light blue sparks were ringing around his body, playing electrical tag or something. His coal-black features were glowing a dull red, like dimmed coals. They seemed to get brighter as they turned aqua-ish. After a minute of this, they suddenly lit up the room with a pure, plasmatic aqua light emitting from the markings. The light calmed down, and his once golden fur shifted to bright, almost white, blue. His once black markings were now plasmatic aqua. He gasped as if he hadn't been breathing for the past ten minutes. He continued to breathe heavily as I rushed over to help him in any way possible."You okay man?" I asked him."I don't...I mean...what the...heck just...happened?" He said between breaths."Well, Avalgadro went into you, and you passed out immediately. George saved you by bringing you in here." I explained. "Then George got backed into his own fire and was knocked out but still alive." As if on queue, George woke up with a deep inhale."Welcome back to the world, sunshine." I commented."Oh, shut up." He snapped. "What in the world just happened?""You're in luck, I just got to the part where you passed out." I answered. "Anyway, he passed out, and I went on a raging rampage. I didn't even realize I was dead til I realized my wand wasn't in my hand anymore. I quickly realized I could move things even in the afterlife, and carried you and my own body inside."Thing is, I goofed up and ran out of ghost time as I call it. Whoever gave me the abilities I have must've given me another chance, for I should be dead." I glanced at my arm, the third stripe had turned the original turquoise of my stripes and the rest of my stripes have regained their color as well. They were also subtly glowing. "Maybe some things have happened to you guys as well.""Well, Avalgadro possessed me from the sound of it, but he isn't in control. Maybe if I..." He closed his eyes to concentrate. Sparks soon enveloped his body like a Pachirisu
using Discharge. You know, except no yellow cheeks and well, he's Harry. He opened his eyes and gazed at the sparks with wonder in his eyes. He concentrated the electricity into a ball in between his hands and discharged it. The orb harmlessly dissipated into thin air."Wow." George said. "Maybe I have fire powers now! After all, Danny said I didn't burn in that fire.""You very well might." Harry said. George held his hands out in front of him and easily managed to summon a ball of fire. I watched in wonder."Impressive." I commented. There was a knock on the door, and I walked over to the door to open it.When I opened it, I saw something that wasn't exactly normal. Thing is, it was our front door, and zombies don't knock, which is why I answered it. Outside, littering the streets, were thousands of zombie corpses. They had been through the weirdest circumstances I have ever seen. Some were frozen, some burned, some electrocuted, some were crushed under boulders that had sapphires and rubies and stuff sticking out, some had been dismantled by some very destructive force, and the weirdest one was the devil runner. The very one I planned on hunting down, and it was encased in ice with giant winged spiders crawling all over it, spreading the ice wherever they touched. The visitor wasn't any less strange. It was an extreme hybrid anthro. He had a tiger's head and body, six skunk tails with rainbow skunk stripes, rainbow skunk stripes on his face, glowing; solid; icy blue eyes, white fur, flame-like markings on his arms; legs; and tails that actually flickered like real flames, glowing; icy blue tiger stripes, a strange, pale green gem encasing his left ear, a purple scar around his left eye that was also glowing, glowing; white leopard spots, giant insect wings growing out of his back that were covered with a leaf-like shield, a glowing; blood red black widow marking on his left forearm, and his white hair had an icy blue stripe on the right side.He was wearing a golden cross necklace on a sterling silver chain that had the same gem that was encasing his ear in the middle. He was also wearing a zip hoodie with designs dancing across it. His pants were midnight-black and he had glowing, rubber wristbands on his arms: Two small, golden ones on his right and two larger, blackish purple ones on his left."Good evening." He said casually as his markings faded. The stripes went black along with the leopard spots, the flames died down to a mere glow, the scar stopped glowing but remained dark purple, his clothes stopped writhing with designs, his eyes turned normal-ish with icy blue irises and the normal pupils and whites, his skunk stripes stopped glowing but continued to ripple like a rainbow lake,
the crystal encasing his ear and the crystal in his necklace blackened to obsidian, and the cross ceased to glow."My name's Niniju, and you must be Danny Polter. Might I come in?" Niniju asked...
