The Awaking
The alarm clock went off at 6:00 in the morning as I reached over with a tired arm and turned it off. Slowly, I brought my arm back around Tasha's stomach as she let out a small sigh and snuggled closer to me still sleep.

"More then I'll ever be" she said quietly.

I watched her leave as her tail moved from side to side as if she knew I was watching. She gave a quick glance over her shoulder and smiled as she saw my eyes locked on her ass. "You big tease" I said tossing a pillow at her as she chuckled.
"Looks like someone enjoyed seeing me" she said pointing to the tent where my crotch was.
"You caused him to be like that."
"Really now? Guess I'll have to handle that as soon as go to the bathroom" she said with a wink as she closed the door.
I rolled out of bed as sunlight pierced through the curtains. I opened them up and winced as it hit my eyes. Blinking a couple of times, I looked out over the backyard as various birds flew from branch to branch. I gave a big stretch and inhaled the fresh air deeply as my wedding band gleamed in the sunlight. The bathroom door was opened as Tasha was standing in front of the mirror grooming herself. I walked over to the dresser and looked into the mirror when a picture on the upper right hand side caught my eye. I took it down and looked at it. It was a picture of me and my grandmother at my middle school graduation. I then remembered her last day on earth in the hospital.
"Grandma, you can't die. I need you."
"You're a big boy Ultimus. You can't depend on me anymore."
"But it's not fair. Isn't there anything the doctor's can do?"
"Arngrim, I lived my life to the fullest. There's nothing left for me to do" she said softly touching my cheek.
I looked at her with sad eyes as the doctor came in with a nurse. The doctor walked over to the life support system and kept his hand at the off button.
"Ultimus, promise me one thing?"
"Anything?" I said grabbing her hand.
"Be a big and don't cry for me. No matter how much you want to, be the strong man I know you are. Grow up and raise a good family so I can watch my grandchildren in heaven. Can you promise me that?"
I held my eyes shut tightly as a single tear fell down. I opened them back up and looked at her.
"I promise grandma."
"That's my boy" she said with a weak smile.
The nurse touched my shoulder as I got up and stood next to her. The doctor pushed the off switch as the life support hummed to a stop. I stood and watched my grandmother's eyes slowly close and her chest stopped raising and falling. I clenched my hands tightly fighting the urge to cry as the doctor placed a sheet over her body.
"I'll be strong for you grandma. I promise."
I snapped out of my trance when I felt Tasha wrapped her arms around my waist.
"Are you okay?" she said softly.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"You miss her don't you?"
"More then know. She told me to be strong and not cry but look at me" I said as tears filled my eyes. "I can't do it."
Tasha rubbed my chest as I cried softly, tears hitting the picture on the dresser.
"Nobody looked after me after she died. I was so alone but yet I stood strong."
"But you're not alone anymore. I will always be with you."
I turned around and looked into those golden eyes as she wiped my tears away. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close as our lips meet. We slowly inched our way back to the bed until Tasha's leg hit the edge causing her to sit down. I pushed her down on the bed as I laid on top and continued kissing her. She wrapped her legs around my waist as her tail tickled my balls making my breathing a little rapid. I stood up and looked down at the beautiful figure lying before me.

"You're just in time" I said grabbing 2 plates from the cupboard and placing the food on them.
"Wow, handsome and can cook. What a lucky girl I am" Tasha said laughing.
"Don't get to comfortable with that" I said with a smile.
We started eating when somebody started knocking on the door. I looked at Tasha and then at the door as the person knocked again, this time more rapidly. Nobody knew about my grandmother's house except my mom and now Tasha.
"Dude you in there? Open up I need to speak to you" the voice said outside.
Oh yeah, I forgot Chris knows about this place too. I opened the door as he rushed in.
"Jesus took you long enough. You got anything to drink, I'm dying of thirst" he said rushing towards the kitchen.
"Nice to see you too" I said closing the door.
Walking in the kitchen, he stopped as his jaw dropped when he saw Tasha cleaning up.
"Oh my god, my dream girl is here."
He rushed forward and grabbed Tasha from behind making her yelp in surprise.
"Oh baby, I love you. You mean more then the world to me. Come away with me and I'll give you your heart's desire."
"Oh...um.....how.....um....thoughtful of you" Tasha said blushing a little. "What's your name, may I ask?"
"Names don't matter. What matters it that we're together and nothing can or will tear us apart" he said about to kiss her.
"Except you dying an early death" I said grabbing him by the neck.
"What's the big idea? I was putting the moves on her" Chris said rubbing his neck.
'Well find your own girl. She belongs to me."
"You mean this hot wolf is your mate?"
"Yes she is. Tasha, may I introduce Chris Glaceau. He may be a little annoying at times but he's the only friend I had growing up."
"Glad to meet you Chris" Tasha said with a smile.
"So what bring you here?" I said watching him guzzle down a huge glass of fruit punch.
"Oh yeah I needed that" Chris said slamming the cup down. "Oh yeah that's right. I was passing by the graveyard to pay my respects to your grandmother because she was like a second mother to me you know" he said getting up and grabbing what was left of the bacon in the plate. "When I got there, these people dressed in black were digging up all the graves including your grandmother. I turned to run when I saw them but this one guy was behind me and took this huge sword out and knocked me down. He pointed it at my neck and asked me where a stone of power or something was. I said I had no idea and he let me go. That's when I kicked it into 5th gear and came here."
Tasha looked at me as she saw the anger in my eyes as a little of my hair started turning red. "Ultimus calm down, relax" she said.
"He's going too far" I said angrily.
I stopped talking and looked around.
"Chris, were you followed?"
"Not that I know of. Why?"
He got his answer when 2 hooded people crashed into the living room through the window. They rushed towards us as one of them tackled me to the ground holding a sai to my neck. Tasha made quick work of the second one as his body laid broken in a heap on the floor.
"Who the hell are you people?" I said angrily.
I tossed him over my head as he landed with a crash on the table breaking it. He got up quickly and tossed the sai at me. I managed to catch it and toss it back as it struck him right in the head as he dropped like a rock.
"Whoa dude, where did you learn to do that?" Chris said looking at me.
"Are you okay?" Tasha asked coming over to me.
I touched my neck as a little bit of blood was there.
"Come on Chris lets go" I said walking to the door.
"Where are we going?" he asked confused.
"Back to the graveyard. I feel like paying my respects to these people."
We walked outside towards Chris's car when Tasha stopped me.
"Do you want me to come with you?" she asked.
"No. I'm going to take care of this myself."
"But..."
"No buts Tasha. If he wants to make this personal, so be it."
"Okay but please be careful. Don't forget your promise."
"I won't" I said as I gave her a kiss.
"Hey don't I get a kiss too. I'm riding into this mess with him" Chris said.
"Shut up and get in the car" I said closing the door and we took off.
On the way up there Chris couldn't help but keep looking over at me as I was lost in my anger a little.
"Hey dude what's going on? I've never seen you do those kinds of things before?"
"You wouldn't understand" I told him.
"Just try me. Who's out to get you? What have you done this time?"
I looked over at him then out the window.
"My father's alive. He's the one that sent those things after me" I said sighing.
He pulled the car into the break down lane with a screech and looked at me.
"You're kidding right? This is just some big ha-ha joke?"
"No. He's alive but possessed by a demon. This stone mentioned to you is the key to awakening him. He needs 7 of them and already has 5. As luck would have it, I have the misfortune of having one of those stones inside of me."
He looked at me then continued on towards the graveyard.
"So how does he awaken this so called demon when he gets all the stones?"
"That's where I come in. I make the perfect sacrifice."
"Man this is some deep shit you gotten yourself into" he said as he pulled into the graveyard. "Can anybody stop them?"
"My friends and I are trying to stop him but we had little success so far" I said getting out of the car.
We walked up and saw the destruction they caused to all the graves. Headstones were cracked and turned over as beds of flowers were all trampled and uprooted. People's friends and relatives resting place was disturbed all because of a stupid stone. I walked up to my grandmother's grave and saw that the casket was opened. I looked in and saw her body, causing my anger to rise even more. I heard Tyrant's voice again in my head.
"That's right. Keep feeding me your anger. It only makes me stronger and soon I'll be strong enough to break free from this imprisonment that bastard put me in."
"Shut up. Stay out of my head" I said angrily.
Chris was looking at the headstone when he called me over.
"Hey Arn, take a look at this."
I walked over and looked to where he was pointing to. In between where her name was written was a small slot that was ring shaped. Below that was what appeared to be a hidden panel.
"What do think that is?" Chris asked.
"I don't have the slightest clue."
Then I remember she was buried with a ring on her finger. I got up and went to her body again and saw the ring. I told her to forgive me as I pulled the ring off her finger. Walking over I placed the ring into the slot which fit perfectly. The panel opened and out fell a rolled up piece of paper. I picked it up and unfolded the paper. It was a map with a note attached to it. My grandmother's handwriting was on the note.
"My sweet Arn: If you are reading this letter, then you have found out everything about your father and mother. I'm sorry that I had to keep it a secret from you but your mother insisted until you came of age to understand the situation. She also handed me the Chaos stone which I hid just in case somebody came looking for it. I made this map telling you where it is located. Again, I'm sorry for not telling you and getting you involved in all of this shit (excuse my language). I'll always be with you and remember no crying, crying is for babies. Love you always: Grandma."
I took a look at the map and it showed that the stone was hidden behind the school in the lake.
"Come on Chris lets go."
"Right behind you."
We got in the car as he started it up. He pulled out of the graveyard and onto to the road.
"Here let me see that map" Chris said as I handed it to him. "Oh just great. According to this, it's right behind the school. Of all the rotten luck. Even though we're done with school we still have to go."
It took us about 20 minutes with his driving as we pulled into the school driveway. We got out and walked around the school to the forest path in the back.
"Ok it says to follow the trail to a small stream, follow the stream to the lake where the Chaos stone is buried."
"Oh vey, typical granny. Oh well let get this over with."
We followed the trail to the stream and I couldn't shake this feeling that we were being watched. After walking a couple of minutes, we came to the pond where we saw a huge whirlpool in the center with 4 tornadoes made of water rotating around it. It grew colder as we got closer to the shore.
"I guess that's where the stone is" Chris said looking at the whirlpool and tornadoes. "Who's going to get it?"
"I guess I will since you can't swim" I said taking off my shirt, shoes and socks before jumping in the water.
The whirlpool immediately began to pull me in to the center where I tried to fight it. It pulled me closer as I went straight through one of the tornadoes losing my breath for a second. When I got to the center, I got pulled under. I struggled to break free wasting energy and strength. After a minute of struggling, I finally broke free from its pull and swam to the bottom. At the bottom, I looked and found the center of the vortex as a huge oyster was holding the stone in its mouth. I swam down and picked it up as the whirlpool along with the tornadoes stop. I swam quickly back up to the surface and took a huge breath of air. Catching my breath I paddle over where Chris was as he helped me up. I stood up and did a short charge of energy as the heat I emitted dried me off.
"Did you find it?" Chris asked.
"Yep, I got it" I said showing him a black stone. "Come on lets get out of here" I said putting my stuff back on.
We started back up the trail when I felt that funny feeling again. I stopped and looked around trying to get a sense of where this feeling was coming from.
"What's wrong man?" Chris said stopping in his tracks.
"We're not alone out here" I said still trying to find out where he or she was.
I got my answer when I jumped out of the way of huge sword that was aiming for my head. I turned around to see a medium sized skunk morph walk out into the open. He was wearing a green beret on his head along with a black vest covering a nasty scar on his chest. Army pants covered his legs along with black combat boots. He walked over and picked up the huge sword like a stick and rested it on his shoulder. I thought that for a little guy like him, there's no way for him to carry a sword twice his size, but he did it with little effort.
"My congratulations on finding the power stone monsieur" he said taking a small bow.
"Hey Arn, that's the guy I was talking about earlier" Chris said backing up.
"I must thank you too my good friend. Without you, Ultimus would have never come. That's why I let you go."
"Who are you and what do you want?" I said backing up as well.
"Please excuse my rudeness. I am the bounty hunter called Strider. My job is to bring you and the Chaos stone back to Xellos, dead or alive. He prefers alive but I can make up a lie if I bring you in dead" he said with a smile. "So shall we begin?"
"Chris, let's get out of here!" I yelled as I ran down the trail.
"You don't have to worry about that" Chris said right behind me.
We ran for a good 5 minutes and hid behind a tall tree.
"This guy is serious" Chris said catching his breath. "What are we going to do?"
"I don't know. But one's thing for sure, I have to get you and this stone out of here."
"You got to be kidding me Arn. Did you see the size of the fucking sword? Who do you think you are Superman?"
"Listen to me. I want you to take this watch and go to my home. Find Tasha and the others and bring them back here as fast as you can" I said handing him the watch.
Before he could response, I felt a deep gash in my shoulder as the sword cut right through the tree we were hiding behind, spilling blood on Chris's shirt and face. The stone rolled out of my hand and into a nearby bush.
"You have to pick a better hiding place then that my friend. You insult me" Strider said with a laugh.
"Chris, get out of here now" I yelled.
"Right I'm going" he said pressing the button and disappearing in a flash of blue light.
I ran out from the tree to face him holding my shoulder as he pulled his sword from the tree, splitting it in half. I looked over and spotted the stone. I tried reaching for it before I was cut off by his sword.
"Dammit. Why do things like this happen to me" I said to myself holding my shoulder as blood was coming out.
"Just give it up my friend. There is no way for to win" Strider said evilly.
"In your dreams. I may be injured but that won't stop me."
I held out my hand as a lance made of fire appeared. I threw it at him and he brought his sword down splitting it in half with ease.
"Too bad. With two good arms you might've hurt me" he said laughing again.
"He's right. With one arm I have no chance of beating him."
He started charging up his sword till it was blazing red like fire. "Firebird Slash". He swung the sword at me creating a bird made of fire that came soaring at me. I didn't have time to think so I put my good arm up as it connected and exploded like a bomb sending me flying into a tree. I got up to one knee as I coughed up some blood from the impact. He walked up and stood over me. He raised his sword to finish me off but I caught it with my good hand, trying to hold it back. Blood started coming out as he added his other hand putting more pressure on it.
"You can't hold it back forever."
He was right. I had to think of something fast. Using what strength I had left, I pulled the sword forward making him come towards me. As he got close, I put my hand on chest and summoned my last bit of strength into a final attack. "Shockwave Blast". A flash of lighting surged through his body and sent him flying into a tree breaking the trunk in half as it fell on top of him. I got up weakly holding my shoulder, hoping that tree crushed his body. Boy was I wrong. He tossed the tree in the air and dissected it into pieces. He looked at me with an evil, but happy smile.
"Now that's more like it. In all my years as a bounty hunter, nobody was able to hit me until now. I must again congratulate you" he said as his tail moved behind him happily. "Now that I had my fun, I must end this."
He held his sword up in the air as the sky got dark and lighting started striking everywhere. He let his sword go as it floated up in the air and started to glow. Lightning struck as it let out a growl and started to grow longer. The blade of the sword changed shape as a dragon's head appeared. Its body grew long like a snake as its tail struck the air like the crack of a whip.
"You should be happy. You're about to see my finest move, the "Dragon Apocalypse". I never had to use it before but this is a special occasion."
Pointing his finger, it let out a roar and came at me with full speed. I jumped in the air as it shredded the ground below me. It twisted its snake like body around trees and made a bee line for me. I dodged as best as I could until it coiled around me and started squeezing me. He laughed at me as I struggled in vain to break free as I heard a rib crack. Blood came down my mouth as it boiled when it touched the dragon's skin.
"I think you should go out with a bang, don't you think?" he said with a chuckle bringing his hand up as it glowed red.
The dragon let out a roar and turned red also never loosen its grip on me.
"You've got 10 seconds before he explodes. I just hope he doesn't kill you because my client wants you alive."
Chris on the other was just making his way into the conference room where everybody was chatting and eating. He walked in and was greeted by everybody looking at him.
"Who are you?" Crystal said getting up. "How did you get here?"
"Relax Crystal. This is Ultimus's real friend, Chris Glaceau" Tasha said getting up and walking over to Chris.
"Oh my god you remember my name. Does that mean you'll dump Arn and go with me?" he said excitedly.
"Don't be silly. What brings you over here?" she said. Then she noticed the blood on his shirt. "Chris, are you hurt?"
"Who me? No I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
"You got blood all over your shirt."
"Oh that's not my blood, that's Arn's blood."
"What happened to him, where is he?" Tasha said getting nervous.
"He fighting some guy named Strider in back of the school. We found some kind of stone and now he's fighting to keep him from getting it. He told me to come back and get you and some other people to help."
"He's fighting Strider!" Venom said getting up.
"Yeah that's what I said. Do you know him? If so you better go tell him to stop" Chris said.
"We don't have time for jokes. If we're lucky he hasn't already killed him" Venom said grabbing Chris and rushing out the door followed by everybody.
When they got to the door they heard an earth shattering explosion as a huge fire ball could be seen in the air.
"Come on, I'll carry you. We have to hurry."
"Oh well that was fun" Strider said drinking some water as he looked down on my motionless body still smoking a little. He checked my pulse and breathed a sigh of relief. "Good thing I didn't go all out, otherwise he would be dead. Now to go collect my pay and find a new job."
He took his sword and made a cut in air as a portal opened. Picking up my body he started towards the portal until he heard people landing behind him.
"Stop" Tiger said.
Strider turned around to see his pursuers. When he saw Venom, his eyes narrowed angrily and his lips curled back in a snarl
"Well if it isn't my old backstabbing friend Venom" he said with hatred.
"Strider? What has happened to you? You've changed" Venom asked confused.
"Times have changed. Ever since you stole her heart from me and let her die, I said that I would never forgive you. So I became a hunter for hire. Using my power I got stronger and said that one day I would come back and kill you for what you did to her."
"But that was 6 years ago. I didn't want it to end like that. I knew how much you loved her. But what you are doing right now is wrong. What would Lily say if she saw you doing this? Think about what you are doing" Venom screamed at him.
Strider didn't say anything as he just turned his back and walked into the portal.
"If you want to finish this, come to the Floating Fortress in the outer world. I'll be waiting there. Until then I bid you farewell" he said as the portal closed.
Tasha went to her knees and started crying as Jenna tried to calm her down. Chris walked up to where to portal was and held out his hand.
"Wow, a rip in the very fabric of two worlds. I've tried everything to do that but my equipment wasn't good enough to do it" Chris said with a little joy in his voice.
"Can you really get to this outer world where he took Ultimus?" Greywolf asked.
"With the right equipment I can do anything" Chris said with a smile.
"Good, we have just the man for you to meet. Lets hurry back and get started" Crystal said.
They got back and Chris was introduced to Theft. Together they started working on the project that Chris was working on to go to the outer world. Tasha was pacing back and forth like a cat in a cage.
"Tasha you have to relax. They'll get it to work, have faith in them" Annabelle said.
"I'm sorry. I just so worried about Ultimus" she said stopping to sit down.
"We're all worried about him. But we can't do anything until they open the portal" Jenna replied.
Venom was sitting there holding his head in disbelief over what just happen.
"So just who is this Strider guy and how do you know him?" Tiger asked.
Venom lifted his head as everybody looked at him. He stood up and walked over towards the window and looked out at the night sky.
"We fought together in the Balsamic War 6 years ago."
"You mean the Balsamic war over in Atelier?" Crystal asked.
"Yes. We were in a group of elite troops, mastering in close combat and special skills. When the war was over we went back home and fell in love with the same girl, Lily. She loved Strider but loved me even more. One day we were ambushed by the enemy. I ran to her house to try to find her."
Venom balled his hand into a fist and held his head down.
"I ran upstairs, hoping she found a hiding place. When I couldn't find her, I ran back outside only to come face to face with at least 5 enemy patrolmen. Before they opened fire, she came out of nowhere and protected me from the gunfire. That's how I got this mark on my face. A stray bullet managed to hit me. Strider watched the whole thing from afar and from his point of view, it looked like I used her for a shield. He blamed me for her death and said that he would pay me back someday. I see now that the day has come."
"Who cares? With all of us fighting together he can't possibly win" Crystal said.
"No. This is something I have to do by myself" Venom said sadly.
"YES. I got it working. Come see" Chris said shouting.
They all went running to the computer room to see this swirling vortex inside of a door.
"It took a while but I finally got the right calculations" Chris said boasting.
"How long will it stay open for?" Jenna asked.
"Roughly about an hour and a half, if your lucky" Theft said.
"That's more then enough time to get him and get out" Tasha said.
They walked up to the portal and went in one at a time until only Tasha was left. She was about to walk through when Chris stopped her.
"Here take this with you" he said handing her a radio. "With this radio you can contact me to open the portal from your side."
"Thank you for being a good friend" Tasha said kissing Chris on the cheek and disappearing through the portal.
After the bumpy ride, they arrived in a secluded forest in front of a huge castle. Nothing else was in view as the land that the castle was on was floating in mid air. Underneath the castle was a huge swirling vortex take seemed to be pulling the castle towards the center. The sky all around them was bright reddish orange as not a cloud could be seen. They walked carefully to the edge of the forest and saw 2 guards posted outside.
"How do we get in without alerting everybody?" Greywolf said.
"Leave that to us. Shall we Tasha?" Jenna said with a wink.
"Right behind you."
They stood up and walked towards the entrance. The guards held up their weapons as they came into view.
"Who are you and what do you want?" a badger said looking at them.
"I was wondering if you could help a poor, weak wolf. Our ship took the wrong hyper transit and landed here. Now we ran out of power and we were wondering if you strong men would help us. We would do anything for your kindness in return" Jenna said putting her hand on the badger's chest and softly rubbing it.
"Where is your ship?" he asked.
"We landed in that forest over there" Tasha said hugging up on the other guard who was a rabbit.
"Should we help them?" the badger asked.
"We can't leave our post" the rabbit said.
"It won't take long and we promise to make it worth your while" Jenna said licking the badger's neck causing an evil growl to come out of Tiger's mouth.
"Bro, calm down. You'll ruin everything" Greywolf whispered.
"The badger's mine. Nobody touches him but me" he said angrily.
"Ok ladies, lead us to your ship" the badger said with a smile.
"Dude......."
"Shut up man. Don't spoil the one chance you have to get laid" he said rubbing Jenna back causing her to murr lightly. "How often do 2 fine, young women land here by accident?"
"I hope we don't get in trouble" the rabbit said.
They followed Tasha and Jenna back into the woods. As soon as they entered, they were quickly and quietly disposed of as everybody walked towards the castle.
"Don't be mad baby" Jenna said nuzzling Tiger's neck.
"You went to far with him don't you think?" he said calmly down but still a little angry.
"You know nobody will go under this tail but you."
When they got to the door, it opened all by itself as a voice was heard from inside.
"Welcome. You are just in time to see the awakening of the mighty Thanos and the start of a whole new world. Come inside and join the party, if you can. HAHAHAHAHAHA."
"I guess we have a party to crash" Greywolf said with a smile.
Then ran down the hall and up the stairs to the first floor where there were at least 100 black goons waiting there for them. They all came at them at once.
"We don't have time for this bullshit" Crystal said fighting them.
They were huddle in a circle surrounded on all sides. Tiger looked at Greywolf and he knew what he meant as he nodded his head.
"You guys go ahead. Greywolf and I will take care of this" Tiger said.
"Are you crazy, you could get killed" Jenna said.
"If we don't stop the ritual from happening, we'll all be killed" Tiger said looking at her. "Don't worry about me. We've been in worst situations."
"10 times worst" Greywolf said with a smile.
"Just come back to me" Jenna said kissing him.
"Don't worry I will."
They took off and headed down the red carpet towards the throne room. They got halfway there when they saw Strider standing in the middle of the hallway blocking the entrance with his back turned.
"I was beginning to think that you weren't going to make it" he said turning to greet them.
"Get out of our way" Crystal yelled.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. I was paid to keep you out by all means necessary until the awakening was finished" he said looking at all of them but stopping at Venom. "To tell you truth I really don't care about that. All I care about is Venom. I will let you pass but Venom stays."
"Agreed" Venom said stepping up.
"Are you sure about this?" Annabelle asked.
"Yes. We have to settle this here and now" he said bringing out his sword which was almost the same size. "Go and get Ultimus."
They looked at him for a quick second then continued past Strider to the throne room. Strider and Venom looked at each other as you could see sparks coming from them.
"Now you will pay for what you did to Lily" Strider said angrily as his sword began to glow with a dark aura.
"If beating you in battle is the only way you'll understand, so be it. I do not wish to kill you Strider, you are my best friend" Venom said sadly.
"Spare me your pity. You took away my one true love. Now I will send you to the place you belong, in hell" he yelled and charged him raising his sword in the air.
Venom brought his sword up and connected with Strider's causing a huge explosion. Everybody stopped and turned around as they could longer see Venom or Strider. The only thing behind them was a huge hole in the ground.
"Come on" Crystal said walking up to the door.
They ran in to see me suspended in mid-air enclosed in a pentagram.
"Welcome. You are just in time to see the birth of a brand new world" my father said as he placed the last stone on an altar surrounding the statue of Thanos.
"This ends now" Crystal said running up to my father. He got close enough to him but was repelled by a strong force field.
"The time for renewal is at hand. Awaken oh mighty Thanos and wreak havoc over those who oppose you" he said raising his hands up towards the ceiling.
The stones started glowing one by one on the altars. The pentagram started to glow as well causing a chain reaction in my chest as the Light stone responded. I let out a yell as my chest started to burn as the pentagram got brighter. All the stones let out a ray of light which hit the statue as it started to crumble a little bit. My body began to glow and I let out a scream of pain a beam of light emanated from my body and covered the statue. The statue finally crumbled and Thanos stood up. I dropped to the floor lifeless with a thud as he let out a long loud laugh.
"Finally I am free."
Thanos was standing at a good 7 feet with a black cape that draped the ground. He had on red gloves with little slots on the knuckles. On his head he wore a gold crown with a symbol of a skull in the middle and his eyes were deep red and soulless. His body was covered in a silver body suit as his muscles were clearly defined with each movement he made. He held both his hands up as the stones gathered and rested themselves in their respective slot expect for mine which refused to leave my body.
"Humph. I see the Light stone has found its new owner" Thanos said with a chuckle when my father came before him and kneeled down.
"Ah yes, Xellos. You have proven your worth to me. Now for your reward."
He pulled out a sword and drove into him. Xellos screamed in pain as Thanos pulled the sword out. Xellos started staggering backwards holding his stomach as the blood poured out.
"My...my lord...Why?" Xellos said coughing up blood as his thoughts and memories started coming back. "Oh god....what.....have I done."
"You were very useful but I have no further use for you. Nappa, Zalbag, take care of our guests while I go start the summoning of Darkstar."
He disappeared and two people appeared in his place. They were both the same height at 6'5 and muscular built. One had a red crystal on his forehead and wearing a white robe which covered his body while the other one wore a mask with only his eyes showing which were completely white. He wore a blue body suit and black boots.
"Tasha, go check on Ultimus, Annabelle and Jenna go see how Xellos is doing. I'll try to draw their attention" Crystal said getting up.
Tasha ran up to me while the others ran to my father.
"How...could I...have been so...blind?" Xellos said coughing up more blood. "I...set....him free."
"Don't try to talk, save your strength" Annabelle said ripping his shirt and tying it around the wound.
Tasha kneeled down and held my head in her lap and ran her paw softly through my hair.
"Ultimus please wake up. You made a promise to me. Don't leave me, I need you" she said crying.
Crystal was not holding up good as he was totally outmatched and out powered by Nappa. Everything he threw at him, Nappa just slapped it away. Finally fed up, Nappa went on the offense and broke he left arm with a swift kick, sending Crystal sliding on the ground.
"What's wrong weakling, don't tell me that's all you got?"
He held out his hand as red energy collected into it. Crystal just closed his eyes and waited for the finishing blow when Venom came down in front of him.
"Sorry I'm late" he said looking back at him.
"Better late then never" Crystal said smiling.
"Do you think 2 against 1 have even your odds?" Nappa said.
"Then how about 4 against 1?" a voice said in back of them.
They turned around to see Tiger and Greywolf in front of the door who quickly joined Venom and Crystal in facing Nappa.
"Finally, some suitable challenge for me. But you still won't win."
They all charged him at once as he deflected and blocked everything they threw at him. It was as if he wasn't even trying. He extended his hands out as a huge dome covered him sending everybody sprawling on the ground.
"You puny mortals are not even a challenge" he said as he held one finger above his head as a ball of red appeared and grew bigger and bigger until it was the size of a gigantic basketball pumped full of air. "Behold my power "Giga Destroyer".
He tossed the ball down to the ground as it exploded in a ball of flame. Everybody formed a defensive shield but it was way too much for them to handle as they went flying in each direction.
"My god, what power" Venom said holding his wing which was broken.
"There's no way we can match up to him like this" Crystal said holding his arm.
"Nappa, Zalbag, enough. I think they're done for now. Come back here at once. I'm going to destroy that castle. I have no need for it anymore."
"As you wish my lord" they said and disappeared.
The castle began to shake as the roof began to crumble.
"We have to get out of here" Annabelle said. "Xellos, can you move?"
"A...little" he answered.
Jenna ran over to Tasha who was still running her paw through my hair and crying.
"Tasha we have to get out of here" she shouted.
"I'm not going anywhere. Not without Ultimus."
"Tasha, Ultimus is gone. He wouldn't want you to die in a place like this, lets go" she said grabbed her arm. Tasha pushed her away yelling at her.
"Let me go. I told you I'm going anywhere."
Venom came up behind her and knocked her out with the handle of his sword.
"Jenna take her, I'll grab Ultimus."
Everybody rushed out of the castle as the ground they were once on was dissolving and getting sucked into the vortex below them.
"I must say that I'm grateful. Without the help of those two I would've never been reborn. But it's a shame that it all must come to an end so soon. The great meteor Darkstar will come and destroy this entire solar system. Until then try to keep me and my men entertained, HAHAHAHAHA" his voice said disappearing.
"We have to get out of this outer world before the vortex sucks us all in" Tiger said.
"Yeah, but how? The portal is closed and we have no way of contacting Chris or Theft" Greywolf replied.
Venom looked around and saw the radio on Tasha waist. He grabbed it a spoke through it.
"Chris, Theft, can you hear me" he shouted.
"Loud and clear" Theft answered.
"Is everything ok? We're getting some strange readings over here" Chris spoke up.
"Nice deduction Sherlock, now get us out of here whiz kid before we get sucked up."
"Ok, hang on. I'm locking in on your radio frequency. Standby" Chris shouted.
A few seconds later a portal opened up and they rushed in, turning around to see the floating fortress get sucked into the vortex. Everybody was beaten, bruised and dead tired as then went into the ER room and sat down. Xellos was put into a tank with healing water.
"Is he going to be ok?" my mom asked looking into the tank.
"He'll be fine. Luckily the sword didn't hit any major organs" Annabelle answered.
"How about Ultimus?" Jenna asked.
"This I don't know. The readings say he's fine but he's not responding to any kind of stimulants I give him. We can only wait and hope he wakes up by himself."
I was floating on cloud nine when I opened my eyes. Everything was completely white like I was in a dream. "Where the hell am I? Am I dead?" I thought to myself.
"Technically you are dead" a voice said from behind me.
I turned around to see a shadow of an angel standing there.
"Who are you?"
"I am the spirit of the Power stone of Light. I am here to guide you to your destiny."
"My destiny? What the hell are you talking about?" I said scratching my head.
"Only you have the power to save the world from Thanos."
"But why only me? What about the others?"
"They don't have power I sense in you. You have a hidden power deep inside you which can unlock my full power. Previous owners of the light stone were careless in using my power, thus destroying themselves and others with my alter ego."
"What makes me so different from them?" I asked.
"Your focus and determination. I've never seen any of my owners fight Tyrant like you have. You use the love from your friends to control your anger and him."
I put my hands behind my head and sat down on nothing, floating in the air trying to take all of this in.
"So how do I defeat Thanos, if he can be defeated?"
"The only way to defeat Thanos is to use the "Ragna Blade". A highly powerful attack created using the dark side of me. In order to use this wisely, your mind and thoughts must be clear and focused. If you let them get out of control, you will destroy yourself along with the planet."
"Humph, it's that powerful huh" I said with a chuckle.
"I would like to tell you more but I have to return you to your body. When you recover head for Japan. There you will find the keeper Claire Bible and all the answer you desire. Good luck" it said and disappeared.
I woke up a couple minutes later inside the ER room.
"Look he's waking up" Jenna said.
I stood up in the bed and looked around. Everybody was hurt but not too badly as I saw my father in a healing tank. I got up shakily and walked over to where my mom was.
"He's back to normal you know" my mom said happily.
"It that a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked.
"The mind control on him has been broken. I'm going to stay here with him and Annabelle."
I looked over to see Tasha sleeping peacefully on Jenna shoulder.
"She must've worn herself out worrying about me" I said walking over to her.
"Not really. I had to knock her out due to the situation we were in" Venom said walking out after his wing was bandaged up.
I picked Tasha up and carried her to our room where I laid her down on the bed. I walked towards the window and looked out. Off in the distance I saw a castle that was floating in the sky. It was barely visible but I could see it with no problem. "There he is. Inside that castle is my destiny. Humph, who would've thought a stupid kid like me could save the world from a walking power house of destruction." I looked back towards the bed to see Tasha sitting up shaking her head.
"Feeling any better?" I asked sitting beside her.
"Ultimus you're alive. But I thought you were supposed to die during his revival?"
"Well actually, I was dead but it's a long story which I'll explain to everybody tomorrow morning. Right now I'm just a tried human being" I said falling quickly asleep in her arms.
"I understand" she said kissing my forehead.
She lifted me up and placed me under the sheets as she cuddled next to me with her head on my chest as it rose and fell with my breathing. She held me close as a single tear rolled down her cheek as she thought she had lost the one thing that mattered in her life. She wiped it away and hugged me tighter causing me to moan slightly and put my arm around her as she whined quietly into a peaceful slumber. Millions of miles away, a huge comet the size of a planet was streaking towards our galaxy. Darkstar was coming and nobody knows how long they have left.
