#1 of Enticing Darkness Reborn

Updated, added another bit to Chapter 3 again this is old and the 3rd novel in my Lazorain Series

Chapter 1

Dark Enticement Reborn

Strong, masculine hands caressed her, his body possessed hers, his mind withheld hers, this was passion so intense, so amazing that only true mates could experience it. Leniu moaned out his name as her climax consumed her, washed over her... Malovane...

She shook her head at the memory, her lavender hair bouncing back and forth. No longer did he possess or caress her. Hell he hardly looked at her! She hissed her frustration as she walked over to her vanity mirror. It had been several years since she had mated with him, found him, the other half to her soul. As she looked at herself in the mirror there were no age lines, no wrinkles, hell she was over a thousand years old and didn't looked a day over twenty. The only thing that was different were her eyes, those haunting ice blue pools had experienced so much.

Leniu began to poke her cheeks, no difference there, once satisfied she poked her arms one at a time. She was not obese no, Lazorains didn't eat, she had however lost a great deal of muscle tone and had become quite thin, almost sickly. Feeding properly however would fix it over a period of time. She would also have to retrain her muscles so that they would build back up.

Leniu then moved to examine her torso, her ribs were sticking out and her waist was very tiny. Yuck, no wonder he didn't find her attractive anymore. Her eyes began to water, refraining from crying she shook her head hard. "Stop it! Don't think of such things, you will win your husband back. He called you weak, yes you currently look the part, but you are not! You are Leniu daughter of Lazora and next in line to rule the throne."

However maybe it was just a phase, maybe things were fine and Malovane was just in a bad mood... for six months. Leniu sighed and flopped down onto her canopy bed. Her dinner would be arriving soon and she was indeed hungry.

Chapter 2

Male Laughter filled the Purple Lightening as a warrior stood on a table telling his great battle with his latest rogue creature. This warrior was very handsome, long silver hair, broad shoulders, a set jaw, and boy was he muscular. His ice blue eyes sparkled with excitement as he retold his amazing confrontation with the enemy. Females Swooned at his feet and males praised him and wished it were their tale to tell.

Violet growled low in her throat. "This isn't like him Jer, and where is Leni? I don't like this one bit." She turned to look at her mate when he didn't answer and hissed when she noticed him staring at fame vampire's cleavage. She quickly reprimanded him with a swap of her tail.

"Ow! Damn it woman, what you do that for? I was only looking!" Jerath whined as he rubbed the back of his head.

"A little respect while I'm right here." She bared her fangs before turning back to Malovane. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed a red headed were-wolf stroking his leg. She growled, her voice deepening to that of her dragon. "I'll be right back cupcake."

Jerath frowned. "Cupcake? What the hell?" He laughed and shook his head as Violet made her way toward their king to be.

Malovane rolled his eyes as he noticed Violet's approach. Ah yes, Violet was the Royal assassin and General of the Lazorain army. Malo had always thought she was hot as hell to be in such a male position.

Violet growled at him. "Where is the Princess? Should she not be by your side as you tell your great battles?" Her tail swayed warningly back and forth as if she were ready to pounce.

Malo grinned at her and replied coolly. "I'm sure she is taking care of her princessly duties." The red head fondling him giggled and whispered softly to him. He grinned back at her and replied. "Maybe Later." Causing her to giggle even more.

Violet was furious, her eyes glowed an eerie green as she growled at the red head. "I would watch what you say wolf, or do you not remember who I am?" she bared her fangs while scales seemed to start sliding over her skin.

The were-wolf immediately paled and moved away from Malovane, she quickly repeated a short story. "As the vampires ran and screamed in horror, the purple dragon raised her great head spitting black acid from her mouth, as sticky as tar. The acid ate at their skin, as she tore the flesh from their face and devoured their hearts. They named her Dark one. In a way kin to Vampire and Dragon alike, the dark one eats even her own kind if they step out of line."

"Exactly, and you are tempting to seduce, not only my Queen, but my makers husband! Stay away from him or you'll be my next meal!" She hissed at the wolf then snarled baring her enlarged fangs.

Malovane's snarl almost overpowered Violet's. "Stay out of this General! Do not dare intervene in my personal life!"

Violet was very close to changing to her dragon. "You betray Leniu and the penalty is death! I suggest you go home to your wife!"

By now every Lazorain in the bar was standing behind Violet and looking mighty displeased. Jerath stood next to his mate, eyes watchful.

"Bumsen! Alright, fine, I'm going." Malovane shook his head and laughed as he removed himself from the bar.

"Vi?" Jerath put his arms around her and nuzzled against her right horn. "Easy there love. Not in my bar killing my customers, Damien would be quite pissed." He sighed a relief as he felt her relax.

"Damien can kiss my ass, although I'm starting to wish he was Leniu's mate instead of the Drelf asshole. At least Damien is infatuated with Len. I wish Malo would love her the way she does him." Violet sighed and leaned into him.

"Yeah." Jerath grinned. "Damien would have been a great mate, maybe you should have went with him instead of me."

She smiled. "Yeah, but he wasn't already a Lazorain and I couldn't convert him." She pouted and pretended to be upset.

"Oh I see, so had he been, you wouldn't have wanted me." He growled, a low possessive sound.

Violet laughed and purred. "Nope I wouldn't have."

Jerath's growl deepened. "Do not joke of such things pet." He possessively put his fangs to her throat and growled more. "I'll make you pay for it even if you just think of it!"

She laughed and sent him a mental image of her entangled with the vampire lord naked.

Jerath growled and lifted her up into his arms. "You'll regret that Violet!" His fangs pushed into her neck more forcefully as he sent her a mental threat. "Now that you disobeyed me I will have to punish you and remind you, just who you belong to."

Violet laughed. "Let's see you try it." She giggled as she was swept off to a room in the back of the bar.

Chapter 2

Mauller frowned as she went down to the royal hall. She had done her best to look presentable to the princess. She had done her best to look presentable to the next in line for her race. She had made sure that her light pink hair was perfect; her small horns that stuck out just above her ears were polished. She even wore her best armor, which was given to her by her adopted mother, Violet. She was very nervous. She had only met Leniu once or twice and it was very brief.

Tonight Mauller was going to feed Leniu, it was an honor and yet a mystery, normally a mate would suffice for feeding, however Malovane was a very unruly mate and did not provide nor could he give the required amount nightly.

Mauller cleared her throat and knocked on Leniu's chamber door. "Mauller, soldier rank three requesting entry."

"Come in, Mauller." Leniu's voice was quiet, almost weak. The door creaked open before Mauller and invited her in.

Mauller began to feel nervous, there was some eerie feeling to the princess' chamber, but she must fulfill her duty. The room was dark, but being a Lazorain she could see almost perfectly. Over in the corner she had seen movement. "Leniu?"

"On the bed Soldier." Leniu made her eyes glow bright blue.

Mauller squeaked at the creepy glow, but quickly settled down. "Leniu, you've gone a long time without feeding haven't you?" Mauller's voice was very soothing, calming she was using her power, Leniu seemed almost feral, and would be a threat.

"Yes, long time." She hissed. "Four weeks." Leniu's eyes glowed brighter. She was angry that she was unable to feed from her husband and hurt.

"It's okay princess, we, your people will care for you now." Mauller slowly made her way to the bed and sat next to Leniu. "Everything will be ok now." She placed her wrist at Leniu's lips. "Everything will be fine, so long as you drink." Her final sentence held compulsion. Mauller felt dirty for using it on a higher-ranking member of their race, but she knew it necessary.

Leniu growled, a low rumble like that of her dragon. She saw the wrist before her, but was unsure whether to gently bite or to rip the arm off and devour. Leniu's growl deepened as she snarled then struck Mauller's wrist fast.

Mauller cried out only for a second, before she lightly began stroking Leniu's hair. Leniu would feed heavily and Mauller would likely pass out, but this bothered her not, she was serving her people.

She watched intrigued as Leniu's throat pulsed while she swallowed her life force.

Mauller was a Kage, like Violet she was mostly an outcast. "Almost done Leniu?" She asked softly continuing to stroke Leniu's lavender hair.

Leniu's eyes had ceased glowing and color was returning to her cheeks. Should would be normal again soon if she kept this up.

Leniu felt her mind struggling to focus, she was feeding, thank the gods, but who from? Her eyes darted around; she found that her lips were locked to a feminine wrist. Violet? No, she'd promised not to use Vi; one person can't supply enough blood for three. Violet did however taste similar, oh no! Mauller. Mauller had only been a Lazorain for a year. Leniu could very well kill her if she took too much.

Leniu quickly flicked her tongue over the wound sealing it. "I am most grateful soldier and honored, Mauller that you would come to my aid." Her voice was soft very gentle, unlike when Mauller had first arrived. She sat up and looked into Mauller's green eyes. "I would be honored if you would take my wrist someday in return."

Mauller's eyes widened then welled with tears. She was accepted by one of the highest members of their race. Not only was she accepted, but also she was praised. "Thank you Princessizn, nothing could make me happier at the moment. However I must cut my visit short. I am dancing tonight at Jerath's bar." She blushed deeply.

Leniu laughed her blue eyes mischievous. "No need to be blushing. I've though about it a time or two, maybe when I'm better we will go on stage together." She then grinned at the shock on Mauller's face, it was priceless.

"Me and you together? Dancing! Oh my gods! No way! What would your mate think?" She quickly wished she'd have taken it back. The hurt in Leniu's eyes said it all.

"Malovane honestly wouldn't care, he and I well, we aren't working out. Then again I should not worry as I have faithful citizens like you Mauller." The princess touched her cheek gently and then sighed. "Hurry on now to Purple, don't keep those male warriors waiting." She smiled, but it didn't quite reach her eyes.

Chapter 3

Zaniu smiled as she licked blood from her clawed hand. She had black hair, long in the same style as Leniu's, her eyes were green like that of Violet's, and she was built very curvy, robust.

"Zaniu would you not play with your food? Lazorains could patrol here any minute!" Daion looked at her annoyed.

She grinned at him. Daion was very handsome when he'd fed well, Mekosians rotted from the inside out if they didn't feed enough. Feeding allowed them to regenerate their constantly dying cells. Daion was tall well over six foot two and had long jet-black hair. He was built, solid muscle and a square jaw. His eyes were gray, lifeless pools, the only hint that he was no longer among the living. All Mekosians had gray eyes after five years of being transformed.

Zaniu laughed as she plunged her fist into the chest of her victim. I love to save their hearts for last!"

Daion watched her fascinated. "For you to be a female you are certainly one of the most demented of us." He snickered at her and grabbed her by the wrist, jerking her against him. She hissed at him like an animal protecting her kill. "However I do enjoy your wickedness I despise your sense of time or lack there of."

She pouted at him and dropped her prize. "If you say so my love." She laughed and sped off in front of him. "We fly!"

Malovane sighed heavily as he threw off his armor and laid down onto his bed. Damn Leniu, he hadn't seen her in a week? What as she up to? Last he knew she was on this very bed. He growled frustrated, he'd hoped she'd be here. He needed to talk with her, but she'd been staying out all night. Just what exactly was she doing?

Hunting, the word lingered in his mind. She was hunting, this bothered him. Who was she feeding from? Or was she hunting the truly undead? Either way he did not like it. He still loved her deeply, he just wasn't attracted to her anymore. She'd become overly depressed, she'd quit feeding and had become sickly looking in appearance, like a skeleton with skin stretched over it. The fact that this had happened also intrigued him. What had changed to cause her to act this way? What was running through her mind and made her so unbalanced? Malo decided it was best to push these thoughts from his mind and concentrated on clearing his head before he drifted to sleep.

Leniu sighed heavily as she sat on the edge of Damien's bed. "Tell me your honest opinion Damien, am I attractive?" She rolled her eyes at him expecting a riddle for an answer.

Damien leaned against a wall on the opposite side of the room. "Novia, you could never truly be unattractive to me, for I am in your mind. What i see is the outcome of a woman who is going through a rough time. What is bothering you my sweet, what troubles you?"

Leniu was too weak to realize that Damien was using compulsion, she was going to spill everything to him. "Well Damien, the fact that Malovane would not take the conversion troubles me greatly. In, not making the conversion I can't touch his mind fully, making me very insecure. It also sometimes hurts me that I have such a difficult mate. I have been too stressed out and I am unable to feed from anyone, but him in fear that he will be unaccepting of me. Then, there is the fact my mother wishes to step down as queen in one year." She sounded terrified even her voice sounded fragile to herself.

"Leniu, may I approach you?" The compulsion counted on in his voice, the velvet melody caressing her mind like a warm breeze.

Leniu gasped the request sounded so sexual, she couldn't resist. "Yes, Damien." Her voice had become husky as her eyes fluttered.

Damien pushed off of the wall and examined her. "Novia, I want you to keep your eyes closed. I promise princesszin this will not hurt." His hands flowed over her, he frowned, she was very ill, almost close to death from starvation. He touched her cheek lightly. "Leniu, my sweet, your life force is dwindling fast. I'm glad that you came to me. I will help you."

Leniu kept her eyes closed, she was hypnotized by the sound of Damien's soothing voice. She didn't even feel him get on the bed behind her. All she could hear were the sweet words of promise and salvation. He was going to save her, that's all that mattered.

Damien made sure that Leniu was dazed enough to give her a sharp command. He first leaned her back into the comfort of his own body, then he positioned his wrist to that beautiful mouth of hers. "Drink, my princess, drink and be well."
