After all is said and done her friend has more questions than answers, but as she will find out, she has only began to scratch at the surface of her boyfriend's life. Being an alpha werewolf, being involved with a secret government agency, and to think he were just a handsome tall oddball Swiss Snow Patrolman.
Chapter 2: Good bye to the single life
The next month came, and Lilian hummed to herself as she walked over to Steele in his red ski patrol uniform. He was with a group of university students who had just collected samples from a fumarole that had recently appeared in the resort boundary, which he had the sniffles, and his eyes were red and watery. The students watched the attractive nurse brush up against the tall imposing ski patrolman with amusement.
"I can't wait to see what you have planned for tonight" she said in a low sultry voice only for him to hear perfectly.
He jumped and chuckled to himself. "Well...tonight is going to be a little different, but I promise it will be exciting" he whispered back with his alluring deep raspy voice. She grinned and reached around giving his rear a squeeze away from everyone's view, which he looked at her amused. "I'll see you tonight, love" he said as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
She blushed and smiled as she reached up to place a hand over his heart. "See ya later, Mr. Wolfman!" she said in a flirtatious tone loud enough for the others to hear. The students were very amused and looked amongst themselves before their instructor cleared his throat, and they soon settled down.
Steele turned watching Lilian's rear sway back and forth with great interest, and she looked back at him checking her out smirking before she walked normally. He rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously. "Sorry about that" he apologized.
Lilian hummed to herself as Haley caught up to her happily. "Let's get going! I got plans for today also!" she shouted as she ushered her into the truck.
Lilian looked at her confused. "You have plans? What, you have a date tonight?" she asked.
Haley smirked. "Dad's coming over to help talk to you about werewolves" she said.
Lilian snapped her head over at her with eyes big as saucers. "Huh? Are you joking around?" she asked.
Haley giggled. "Tonight's a full moon, and we just can't have you freaking out when your date grows a coat of fur and sharp white teeth" she said.
Lilian gasped. "Wait! Your dad is a werewolf?" she shrieked.
Haley glanced over at her and shook her head. "Lilian...I'm one too...you already saw me transformed" she said.
Lilian stared at the dashboard in deep thought. "Wow, just...wow...You aren't punking me are you?" she asked nervously.
Haley looked over at her, which her eyes turned yellow and her ears became pointed before they reverted back to their original human features. Lilian backed into the door while continuing to stare at her horrified. "How long have you been this way!?" she shrieked.
Haley looked back at the road and sighed in frustration. "I've always been this way...I was born one" she said before she ran her hand through her hair. "I've just gotten brave enough to show you..." she said.
Lilian continued to stare at her as if she were an exotic creature. "So...this is...what you do on your...night outs?" she asked.
Haley shot her a leer offended. "What do you do on your night outs?" she retorted.
Lilian blushed and looked at her feet. "I'm sorry...I just don't...I just don't know...how to react" she muttered ashamed.
Haley laughed at her and slugged her in the arm gently. "I'm still me...nothing's different" she said.
Lilian nodded slowly and relaxed. "I guess...But...you mean...I've been sleeping with a werewolf?" she asked.
Haley laughed nervously. "He's actually the Alpha...he's even stronger than my dad" she said.
Lilian's eyes widened. "Oh snap! You mean...that's why you've been acting weird around him" she said.
Haley nodded slowly. "Yea...he and my dad are like in their 80's now" he said.
Lilian gasped. "Wait, can't they even have kids still?" she asked.
Haley smiled awkwardly and nodded. "Yea...actually my dad got my mom pregnant again" she said.
Lilian stared at her trying to grasp what was going on as her lover were so fit and athletic that no eighty year old could do such feats. "But...Is this why you weren't wanting me to date him?" she asked.
Haley shook head, but shrugged. "Well...for the most part I told you already why" she said as they pulled up to the apartment. Bernie was leaning against his truck watching them pull up, which he waved at them.
Lilian could not look at them the same way again as the signs were becoming so obvious to her. They got out, and Lilian stared at him, which he looked at her oddly. "So, you told her already?" he asked. He smirked. "Good, I don't need to shift for her then" he said as he crossed his arms over his chest. "You aren't getting any cold feet now are you?" he asked.
Lilian shook her head quickly before she blushed. "Well, whenever I do get cold feet, Steele warms them up for me" she said before she thought about what Steele looked like. "So, you guys don't go on a rampage do you?" she asked.
He laughed and shook his head. "Not us...we got plenty of control over ourselves" he said before he cleared his throat. "I might suggest cooking something for him. You don't have to make something massive in your human standards, but don't be making him strictly a salad! We are predators; we aren't picky on what meat it is so long as...you know what? Why don't you both cook together?" he said.
She stared at him and gulped. "But...won't he get hair in the food?" she asked.
He snickered at her. "Steele has been done sheading months ago...It's the middle of summer, so you should be fine..." he said.
She stared at him as they made their way inside of the apartment, which she looked towards Haley nervously. "So what should I wear? Do I have to worry about ripping my clothes off?" she asked.
Haley hesitated and looked towards her father who laughed at her. "I think you should know that by now" he stated.
Lilian sighed heavily. "Yea, you're right" she said before she entered her room. She spent an hour getting herself ready as she put on a deep blue ladies business suit, which she put her hair up in a bun and donned her glasses, and she wore a push up bra to make the buttons appear strained. She wore a deep red lip stick and had a strand of hair tucked behind her ear, which Haley looked at her black business skirt that stretched around her showing off her wide hips and shapely thighs.
"You're wearing that to see him?" she asked in disbelief.
Lilian giggled. "Yea, buttons are easier to sew back on" she said.
Bernie roared with laughter. "She knows what he likes..." he said before he cleared his throat calming himself. "Now you just go with the motions, don't freeze up or resist if he's doing anything near your throat or if his biting at you...If you're uncomfortable just let him know" he advised her.
She adjusted her glasses and smiled. "I'm used to him doing that already...It probably won't be any different right?" she asked.
He laughed nervously. "You have no idea just how massive we get, but...he'll be able to wrap his entire mouth around your neck" he said.
Her eyes widened while she felt tingly all over. "Entirely?" she asked.
He nodded and Haley smiled. "You got it handled. Just pack yourself extra clothes and some emergency contraception. Condoms have a high likelihood of breaking...no matter how big they are" she said.
Lilian giggled. "Yea, I've been worried about that already. I've been on the pill for a while. I already got my ECPs in my purse...is there anything else I should know about?" she asked.
Bernie smirked. "Just have fun...and use good judgement. You're the first human he's shown his true self to, so he's going to be just as nervous as you are" he said.
She gulped and nodded. "Yea, of course, although, he's the one that is in power" she said nervously.
She slipped into her high heels and adjusted her black pantyhose, before she grabbed a small bag of her clothes. Her heels clacked across the parking lot, and she got into her car. She made her way over to Steele's place and the sun were still a little high in the sky, which she got out just as Steele took a step out.
She purposefully dropped her keys and bent over to give his a good shot of her rear, which he came up behind her and touched her rump giving it a rub. "You arrived early...that's good" he said in a deep alluring tone. She stood back up to him running his claws up her sides. "Mmmm, you look magnificent today...I like the outfit you picked today" he said before he pulled her back up against his rock hard chest.
She shivered with delight and with intimidation. "Oh, thank you" she said with a shaky voice. He leaned into her with his throat near her ear growling as he gripped her hip firmly. She looked back up at him and smiled. "What are you wearing those rags for?" she asked as she noted he were in an outfit that were worn and riddled with holes.
He chuckled to himself. "Oh? Don't you want to see me burst out of these clothes? Wouldn't it be exciting?" he asked.
Her eyes widened and she bit her lip. "Does it hurt?" she asked.
He grinned evilly. "Are you kidding? I love clothesplosions" he said.
She giggled at him as she turned around to face him. "No, I mean...does it hurt to transform?" she asked.
He waved his hand side to side. "It's not excruciating, but there are pinches and tightness going on. The power you feel overwhelms the pain" he said before he raised his hand up to the back of her shoulders. "Let's get inside...I've set up the table" he said as he ushered her inside.
Once inside she looked around and everything was cleaned up. The dining room table was set with chalices and nice dining ware. Candles were lit, and the scent of delicious food was in the air. She looked at him amused. "Well, I suppose this makes up for the way you've dressed" she teased him before she gave him a swift smack on the rear.
He cleared his throat and made his way into the kitchen. "I hope you like venison stew...I really didn't know what you wanted to eat, so I thought to make something simple for an appetizer. We could make the main course if you'd like" he said.
She nodded. "Well, we can come up with something, but...when do you transform?" she asked.
He scratched the back of his head. "Well, I'll start having urges later before the sun starts setting, but I won't be able to hold myself back until the moon is over the tree canopy" he said pointing to the trees outside.
"So?" She muttered as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"So about midnight at the latest" he said.
She smiled. "Oh, well, you can be transformed once dinner is served then" she said.
He looked at her straight-faced before he looked down at the floor. "Well, I won't transform fully, but I could be in a more domesticated form" he said.
She stared at him and raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by fully? And more domesticated?" she asked.
He smirked. "I mean depending on how powerful a werewolf gets, the more he can take up a wolf form. I can turn full wolf if I wanted to...luckily the full moon doesn't give me that strong of an urge to do so. What it will urge me to do is turn into a form more wolf than man. I was planning to just turn into a form that was more man than wolf" he said.
She thought back on what she saw when Haley were in werewolf form eating out of the meat container. "Oh...so something like from the old werewolf movies?" she asked.
He shrugged. "Something like it, but a little more robust" he said.
She then thought back on when he lifted the tree off from her. "Did you turn into that form when you saved me?" she asked.
He shook his head. "I almost was, but you'll see it fully...and then some" he said as they entered the kitchen.
They spent an hour making a large meal together, which the sun were beginning to set, so he brought her out onto the balcony that overlooked the horizon to the Northwest. They watched the sun descend into the earth, and Lilian looked over at Steele which he were transforming slowly. She looked at his hand curiously before she looked back into his yellow soul piercing eyes, and she leaned in while part of her hoping that he would not eat her face.
He leaned in and planted the most perfect smooch yet as his clothes started shredding from his increasing bulk. She smiled to his fang giving her lip a tug as they parted, but she reached up to feel the fur growing along his jawline. Her nerves were eased as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Nervous?" he asked in a much deeper but alluring voice.
She shook her head quickly and smiled. "You know for some odd reason, you look really handsome" she said as she continued to trail her hand up to his pointed ear.
He chuckled wholesomely as he looked into her eyes deeply. "Well, It's not an odd reason...It's what you are attracted to" he said.
She looked his arms not yet overtaken by fur, but his claws were human like only blackened. "This is crazy" she muttered as she ran her fingers over his claws.
His stomach started to grumble, and he quickly got up. "Well, let's have dinner shall we?" he asked.
She looked up at him and giggled. "Okay, but...just don't wolf it down like you do at the restaurant" she teased.
He reached out to take her hand, and she walked back inside with him. As she sat down, he grabbed the bowls and plates before he filled them with food. His portion sizes were much bigger than hers, but she did not pay as much attention now as it were now focused on the man beast in front of her.
He sat down after setting everything down, and he looked at her intensely. "You did mention something last week about your parents wanting to meet me, didn't you?" he asked as he popped open a bottle of wine.
She snapped out of her daydream and nodded. "Oh, yes! I told them all about you!" she said before she blushed. "Well, everything but being a werewolf" she said.
He smirked as he poured her a glass. "Yea? So what are they like?" he asked.
She blushed. "Well, Dad is an Engineer for Boeing, and Mom is a Neurologist. So, my family is kind of..." she said before he interrupted her.
"Wealthy?" He muttered as he poured himself a glass.
She laughed nervously. "They are pretty well off, but I've told them about how great a job you do plucking people out from the mountain. They like that you are a very heroic...though, they are nervous about your age" she said as she dipped her spoon in the soup.
He looked at her amused. "Do they even know what I look like?" he asked.
She shook her head. "No, but I'm pretty sure they are going to be surprised when they see you. I can only give them so many descriptions of you, but it doesn't do any justice until they see you in person" she said. She looked into her soup after tasting a spoonful. "I think they'll like you...Mom's just nervous about your sperm quality, but I'm guessing that won't be a problem with you being a werewolf, won't it?" she said before she gave him a mischievous grin.
He laughed and shifted in his chair. "Oh well...I'm pretty sure I'll produce healthy offspring" he said before he rubbed the back of his head. "I can see her concern, but I'm plenty well equipped" he said.
She smirked at this and purred lowly. "You know, I'm surprised you haven't burst from that part of your clothes yet, hun" she said.
He closed his eyes and adjusted himself. "I'm just about to...just nearly there. I can feel every thread straining. It's going to go soon" he said.
She took a sip of wine and leaned in giving him a perfect view of her cleavage. "Well, I hope I'm not making you uncomfortable" she asked.
He looked down just as she planned, but he smiled. "Well I'm more aroused than uncomfortable" he said bluntly.
She adjusted her glasses with a cocky smirk. "Good...Because I'm well passed being shy at this point. Finally, I get to see the real you" she said.
He shook his head at her and laughed. "You've always seen the real me...this is just the sexy side of me" he said giving her a wink.
She began to dip her fork in the spaghetti, and she looked at him day dreaming. "Anyway, they are going to be coming over for the week. Can you keep your place looking this nice all the time?" she asked.
He snickered to himself. "I kind of don't have a choice anymore...I'm not in the single life anymore" he said before he scratched behind his ear. "I spent four hours vacuuming this place, and let me tell you, I thought those hairs wouldn't stop reproducing" he said.
There was a cute snort that came from Lilian as she tried to hold back her laugh. "Okay, but at least you aren't shedding...right?" she asked.
He laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. "No, right now, though...you don't have allergies do you?" he asked.
She shook her head cutely before she took another sip of wine. "Not to dogs...no offense" she said.
He smirked as he rolled a meatball across his plate. "None taken" he said as he finally stabbed the meatball. "You still know that I'm far from a cuddly house pet" he said.
She snickered and looked at him skeptically. "Well duh! You're my boyfriend dummy!" she said.
Later that evening, she followed him upstairs to his bedroom, where the moon shined through the windows, and she kicked off her high heels as he walked into the moonlight. She turned to look at him, and her eyes widened as he got on all fours, and what was left of his clothing shredded off as he grew immensely. She backed into the wall and tripped over her high heels landing onto her butt.
He sprouted more fur, and his mouth and nose stretched out into a snout. His pointed ears migrated to the top of his head turning lupine as well as a tail sprouted from his pants. His claws ripped off the tattered remains of his clothing, and he stood up at a towering twelve feet. He stared at Lilian as she went catatonic as she struggled to form words. "You're...Huge!" she finally managed to shout out.
He sat on the bed and reached for his digitigrade feet to rip off the blown out shoes. "I am...very" he said in an even deeper monstrous tone than before. His pronunciation of words was altered as his lips were more lupine, but he was still able to communicate.
She nodded before her eyes wondered down to his sheathed manhood where she began to stare at intensely. "So...I'm guessing that we can't get intimate tonight?" she asked.
He approached her and growled at her seductively. "That all depends how adventurous you are" he said as he reached over to run his claw over her top and plucked out each button with surgical precision. She shivered, and his hot breath hit the back of her neck.
"Steele, just how is that thing going to fit? You are already bigger than a horse, and I'm still me sized!" she said nervously.
He chuckled evilly. "Oh, we'll find a place to put it" he said before he gripped at her ribs. "Stop worrying about my penis, and let's go down to the bath house" he said before he lifted her onto his back.
She climbed onto his back and clutched onto tufts of hair on his back before he walked onto the balcony and jumped off landing three stories down where his amazingly sturdy musculoskeletal system absorbed and dispersed most of the energy. She grinned as he rushed to the bath house, where he flung the doors open and steam rushed out. He flipped a massive switch, and the lights flickered on.
Lilian slid down his back and wondered to the corner to remove her clothes, which Steele jumped in sending a massive wave that crashed into the wall spaying and slopping water over and soaking her clothes in the process. She looked at him and shook her head as he had leaned back spreading out his arms and legs to relax.
She jumped into the tub and wadded over to the colossal werewolf where she climbed onto his lap. She looked up at him happily, and she touched his fur happily. "So, you can turn into a full wolf then?" she asked as she felt up his abdominals. The only part of him that were human like were his torso, arms, and half of his legs.
He nodded and tilted his head back while taking in a deep breath. "Yea, but I don't feel like doing that right now" he said before he blew into the steam making it form a ring.
She looked up at him and giggled. "I think I can get used to all of this" she said before she looked around. "So, you want me to give you a good shampooing?" she asked.
He chuckled and pointed over to a cabinet. "I might have stocked some nice smelling shampoo if you want to try it" he said.
She looked over at the cabinet and smirked. "Okay, this could be fun" she said before she waded over to the cabinet, which she saw a large bottle of an odd labeled, "Cape and Tails" bottle of shampoo, which it was lavender scented. "Does this keep your fur smelling nice, or is this just temporary?" she asked.
He waved his hand side to side. "It's both...my original hair is still there, but it's hidden underneath my main coat" he said as she walk back to him with the bottle, which he sat up on the ledge. She looked at him oddly before he snickered as he lay on his belly. "Use the whole bottle, its single use for special occasions" he said.
She looked at the bottle in disbelief, but she shrugged as she unscrewed the cap to pour a huge gob onto his back. She spent a good hour and a half getting the shampoo lathered up onto every square inch of his body saving the best bits for last. Once she finished, she looked at her pruned fingers and sighed. "Man, that took forever, hun" she said.
Steele finally slid back into the water, when there were a loud knock coming from the wall. His ears perked, and he looked towards the source of the noise, which a monstrous but clearly female voice passed through the wall. "Steele, Dad and I found a little girl in the woods. She ran clear over from a youth camp in Zigzag. Dad's with her right now, but she's been screaming for so much she can barely speak" she said.
Lilian stood up and clutched her hand over her heart. "You like me to go over there?" she asked.
There was a saddened whimper before the female muttered, "Yes...that would be helpful" she said lowly. "I'm sorry about interrupting your date, Lilian" she apologized.
Lilian smiled as she got out of the tub. "It's okay, Haley" she said as she looked at her soaked clothes before she looked towards Steele as he jumped out immediately shaking off like a dog turning into a big puffball. "Alright you furball, Get me to my clothes!" she demanded as she crossed her arms over her chest.
He crawled up to her, and she climbed onto his back. He walked out, and Lilian looked over at Haley's werewolf form, which it was similar to Steele's only shorter, sleeker, and feminine. Steele leaped up onto the balcony, which Lilian nearly fell off not holding onto his fur tight enough. Once inside, she quickly found a towel and her sack of clothes, and she dried herself off quickly.
Steele's stomach began to growl out loudly, and she looked at him oddly. "I thought you just ate?" she asked.
Steele scratched at his stomach and chuckled. "Yea, well it's not like transforming takes no energy to do. We have to eat a big meal before transforming, or we have serious side effects like going into a feeding frenzy" he said.
Lilian nodded as she slipped on her spare clothes, which Haley was already on the balcony waiting impatiently. "We have to go! I don't know how long dad can hold his anthro form. He won't be able to hide behind the tree for long" she raised her voice. Lilian nodded and rushed over to her, where she climbed on and reached around before she gasped feeling something on Haley's chest before she sighed. "Yes, I have tits in this form" she said lowly.
Lilian blushed. "I know that, but...you have more than two!?" she shrieked before Haley took off.
Haley did not bother to answer such an embarrassing observation, and she was only concerned for the welfare of the lost child. They stopped short of a clearing, where Bernie was breathing heavily. Lilian saw the strain on his body it was just to push back a transformation on the full moon, so she touched his shoulder as she walked passed him.
The little girl was staring at the tree that Bernie was hiding behind, and he let out a pained groan. "I can't hold it any longer!" he shouted.
Lilian looked back and shook her head. "Then just transform! I'm here already!" she shouted before she looked back at the girl who appeared to be eight years old with long curly hair. "It's okay" she told her in a soft nurturing voice. She sat beside the girl on a mossy rock, and the girl watched in horror as Bernie stood up in his transformed state.
The girl quickly jumped into Lilian's arms seeking refuge, and Lilian smiled rubbing her back. "Don't be afraid...I only found out these guys are werewolves today too" she said.
The little girl looked up at her shocked. "You did? Why aren't you scared?" she asked.
Lilian giggled. "Well I am, but I remember that they are still my friends, and one of them I'm in love with" she said softly. The little girl stared at her and revealed a nasty bruises and cuts on her arms, which she pulled out a bag and brought out a flashlight to check the severity of the wounds better. "What happened?" she asked.
The little girl frowned. "One of the girls turned into a monster! She started hurting us in the cabin, and I ran away!" she said as Lilian felt her arm. She let out a terrible shriek as Lilian twisted at her wrist, and Lilian frowned. "Her arm is broken...we need to get her to get her wounds treated" she said.
Bernie looked back at them then at the girl seeing the fear and pain in her eyes. "So where do we take her?" he asked.
Haley poked her head out. "You can set her arm can't you?" she asked.
Lilian frowned. "I could, but I didn't study that much in pediatrics" she said.
Haley groaned. "Well, my hands aren't that nimble for her tiny arms" she said.
Lilian sighed. "Take us to Steele's place at least" she said.
"Agreed" Bernie said.
Later at Steele's home, there was a low growl coming from the brush as the massive werewolf creature tore a deer carcass asunder. Steele looked up from the steaming remains, and a miniature wolf child emerged from the brush. He stared her down and charged her, which the child had no time to turn to run as he grabbed her by the scruff of her neck. The child flailed about before she went limp as he lifted her off the ground. "Where are your parents?" he asked.
The pup instantly snapped out of her rage and whimpered. "I don't know...I'm adopted" she said timidly.
Steele stared at her and set her on the ground. "Adopted you say? Do they...know about this?" he asked.
"Know about what?" she asked.
"This!" He raised his voice flailing his arms about while pointing at her.
"Oh, um...no? Just sent me to camp, so I could make friends" she said nervously.
He slammed his hand into his head. "Great...and the adoption agency didn't know about this either?" he asked.
She shook her head. "No, they only had me less than a month..." she muttered.
He heard her stomach growl, and he sighed. "Go eat...I need to think" he said.
"Gee, thanks mister" she said before she wondered over to the carcass. He crossed his arms over his chest and thought to himself before his conversation were broken. "You're really big for a werewolf" she commented.
Bernie and Haley shown up, and the little girl spotted the werewolf child. "That's her! That's her! She did this!" she shouted.
Bernie looked up at Steele who was very perplexed, which Lilian got off from Haley and stormed over at the werewolf child. "Look at what you've done! You broke her arm and..." she shouted before Haley touched her shoulder and tried to pull her back.
The werewolf child looked at her confused not expecting to be getting lectured by a human, but Steele approached them. "Let's not start a scene...I can already see what happened here. This isn't entirely her fault. I'm guessing that her camp didn't feed her enough...and then this happened" he explained.
They looked at him curiously as the werewolf child wondered over towards Steele and huddled near him. He sighed heavily as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "So what happened when you transformed last night?" he asked.
She shivered and looked at her feet. "I got into the kitchen and a lot of the food, and I slept outside most of the night. The camp counselor caught me and punished the whole cabin. She didn't care that it was just me...she didn't believe me" she said before she whimpered. "They fed me very little, and we got locked up inside of the cabin..." she said.
Steele sighed. "Well, that's not good" he said before he reverted into a more man than wolf form, and he took her hand. "Let's get you a bed for the night" he said calmly. He looked back at Lilian and frowned. "I can't stay in this form for long, so you're going to have to bring the injured one into the guest bedroom closest to the bathroom" he told her.
Lilian nodded before she followed him inside with the injured girl. She led her into the bedroom, which she flipped on the light. "Hun, I need to check that arm of yours" she said softly. She helped the girl lay down before she put a pillow beside her arm. "Okay, I know this sucks, but I got to make sure it'll heal properly" she said.
The girl whimpered as Lilian gingerly took her arm, and she felt up the girl's arm. Steele poked his head in, and the girl looked up at him timidly. He was an adult version of the girl who just attacked her, but he was significantly tamer. "Need me to perform traction?" he asked as he set a hand on the nurse's shoulder.
Lilian looked back at him and smiled. "Nah, it's nothing I can't handle...go upstairs and relax" she said as she reached up to stroke him over his abdomen.
He let out a heavy sigh and rubbed her shoulder. "Alright, I'll be waiting" he said as he left her.
She smirked. "I'll be up there, just keep a spot warm for me" she said before she went back to the girl. She gave the girl's arm a swift pull and twist, and the girl suddenly shouted out and rolled in pain. She looked at the nurse shocked as it was fixed that quickly. "Just hold still, I need to get a few things" she said before she left.
The werewolf child soon came inside to check on the girl, and she frowned. "I'm sorry about your arm..." she said.
Lilian came back in with supplies before she gave the werewolf child a stern look. "Get to bed! She's alright, but let me handle things from here!" she spoke severely.
The werewolf child left the room feeling very bad about what she did, but Lilian's heart sank feeling for both girls. She continued to wrap up the girl's arm with rods to keep it immobile, but the girl looked up at her curiously. "Was that the werewolf you are in love with?" she asked. Lilian smiled and nodded before the girl's jaw dropped. "He's so big and scary...How can you fall in love with him? Can't he hurt you?" she asked.
Lilian gave a soft sigh. "I know he's big and scary, but I also know he's a very sweet and caring wolfman. He can hurt anyone, but you know what I feel safest with him because he will protect me" she said.
The girl stared at her. "Are you going to have his babies?" she asked.
Lilian's eyes widened and blushed. "Ssssh...You know, I think he'd make a good daddy for my babies" she whispered as she finished treating the girl's wounds.
The girl was very confused with the nurse being in love with a werewolf as they seemed to be polar opposites from each other. Lilian gathered her things and hummed to herself as she turned to look at the girl. "And you know what? He's going to protect us all tonight" she said before she shut off the light. "Pleasant dreams" she said before she closed the door to a crack.
Lilian looked over at the werewolf girl and frowned. "Look, you need to give her some space, okay?" she said before she reached down to rub her shoulder. "I know you feel bad, but if Steele knows you didn't mean it, then I trust him" she said before she escorted her into her room. "G'night!" she said wearily.
As Lilian returned to Steele's room, the massive werewolf opened one eye at her and chuckled lowly. "So are you learning how to deal with werewolf children?" he asked.
She looked up at him exhausted as she pulled her pin from her hair and blew a strand of hair from her face. "Steele...I'm not ready to be having any kids yet let alone werewolf ones" she said honestly.
Steele scooted over as she crawled into bed with him and reached over grabbing tufts of fur from his chest. He gave a low murr as he pulled the blanket over them. "You did fine to me..." he said before he closed his eyes with a toothy grin. "Kids will come later, but we will..." he muttered until he yawned. "...have one...eventually..." he murmured until he started to drift to sleep.
Lilian looked up at him and smiled. "I know..." she muttered. She soon buried her face into his bicep and rested her feet against his hip. "My parents come tomorrow" she said.
His eyes shot wide open and glanced over at her. "Would you stall them if they get here too soon?" he asked. She nodded off groaning as she wrapped her arms around his arm, which he took in a deep breath. "Oh well...Guess a couple of dead deer on my property won't be so bad" he said.
Her eyes shot open, and she looked over at him. "I said I'll stall them, hun" she said before she thought about Haley and her father. "Steele? What does Bernie and Haley do on full moons usually?" she asked.
He glanced over at her and cocked his head cutely. "Same thing I do, hunt and patrol the lands" he muttered.
She gulped. "Bernie would say you know...leave a dead gutted deer near my doorstep would he?" she asked.
He laughed at the image, and he rubbed her side. "No, no! He'd leave it in the road near your house and make it look like roadkill. He's smart like that" he said before he looked at her confused as she shot him a terrifying leer. "What? Is that not good?" he asked.
She let out a low sigh. "No, it's perfectly logical; however...what are my wealthy parents going to think when..." she said before she raised her voice, "...They pass a dead deer to get into my apartment's driveway!?"
He scratched his head. "Uh, It's the circle of life?" he asked.
She closed her eyes. "No, that's a song, Steele! You better hope that Bernie doesn't do what you say he's going to do because I don't want to hear them nagging me about how terrible a place I live" she said in frustration.
He chuckled to himself. "It's not like they won't pass any on their drive, but don't you worry, my place will be looking so nice that they'll be nagging you to move in with me" he said.
She looked at him oddly and tried to hold her laugh and stay mad, but it all came out. "Hehah, What the hell Steele, people don't act like that!" she said.
He gave her a light nudge. "Parents do when they want what's best for their daughter" he teased.
She shook her head and smiled. "They'll want to take me back home once they see you" she said.
"We shall see...we shall see" he said.
The early in the morning, there were a knock at the door. Lilian left the kitchen with cup of coffee in her hand, which once she opened the door, there was a group of men in black suits and sunglasses with three cars with government plates were parked outside. Lilian stared at them and took a sip. "Steele? The government is here!" she shouted.
Steele poked his head around the door before he took a bite out of a large strip of bacon. "Steele Wolfgang, I presume?" a younger gentleman asked as he held his hand out. The others watched nervously as Steele gripped his hand and shook it whilst munching on the bacon.
"Steele, you mind telling me what this is all about?" Lilian asked.
The younger gentleman looked at her and smirked. "We are with the Supernatural Administration, or SAD. We are in charge with any little hiccups that happen between Humans and the more than human" he said.
Steele turned. "They're here for the girls" he said as he waved them in. The younger gentleman walked in first where the others were too nervous to take a step farther. The man looked back at them and smirked. "Did you even read into his files at all" he asked before he entered the kitchen.
Steele shut the door and sat behind his plate, which the man sat across ditching his glasses. "My name is Don. I am the new head of the Pacific Northwest Division" he said as Lilian quietly sat beside Steele. He studied their relationship and pulled out a notepad jotting things down. "Now, I understand that you have found the two missing girls. Can you tell me any details as to what happened?" he asked.
Steele sighed. "Well, I was enjoying a bath with my mate, when Haley told me they found a human girl in the woods. They took my mate over to talk to her, and while they were gone, the werewolf girl shown up hungry. I fed her, and she told me that she was adopted and her parents set her to camp to make friends..." he said before Don smirked and nodded as he wrote his notes down.
"Haley and Bernie came with my mate and the injured girl, and my mate treated her wounds. We sent them to bed, and then I spent quality time with my mate." He said before Don cleared his throat.
"I see, so they are in bed right now?" he asked.
Steele looked up at the two pairs of eye peering down from the handrails of the indoor balcony. "They've been up for a while" he said before Don and Lilian both looked up. The two girls froze, and Steele chuckled. "You forget I have very good hearing" he said.
The girls wondered their way down the stairs looking around the place as they took in how grand in scale it was. "Wow this place is huge!" they said before they reached the table. Lilian was quick to examine her work on the girl's broken arm, and Don was impressed.
"You patched her up pretty well" he commented before he put his glasses on as he looked towards the werewolf girl. The girl was blonde with the bluest of eyes, and she wore her hair down to her waist. "You don't lick your paws do you?" he asked.
The girl stared at him confused. "Why?" she asked.
Don cleared his throat. "Did your parents ever tell you that licking your paws and scratching humans can lead to spreading lycanthropy?" he asked.
The girl's eyes widened in horror, and she shivered looking towards Steele. "But I wash my hands! Honest!" she shrieked before Steele leaned back and sighed. "I didn't mean to..." she muttered.
"It's a small chance, but still, we're going to have to put all the campers and personnel involved into mandatory thirty day quarantine" Don said before he looked towards the injured girl who started to hide behind the werewolf girl.
"Quarantine? What does that mean?" she asked.
Steele leaned back in his chair. "They are going to keep you away from everyone for a while to see if you show signs of being a werewolf. I'd say thirty days is a bit long though. It's should only take a week for them to know" he said as he munched on another strip of bacon.
Don rolled his eyes. "Well, we have to wait until the next full moon, but we can't risk having more werewolves running amok" he said.
The girl started to tear up and cry. "What's going to happen to me!? I don't want to be a werewolf!" she shouted.
Steele looked at her softly as he cleared his throat. "Hey now...you probably aren't a werewolf. If you do turn into one, so what? It's not a big deal, life goes on, and you adjust. We can get you help when the time comes. Right now, you are both not a werewolf and are one. Have you ever heard the story of Schrödinger's cat?" he asked.
Don gulped. "Steele, I don't think that's an appropriate story for children" he said as Steele continued on.
"Now there was an experiment to explain quantum superposition, which basically it's to show that one electron can be in many places at once until you look. So, the experiment was done with live cat, a box, a Geiger counter, a hammer, a sample of plutonium, and a vial of cyanide...um poison. When the plutonium gave of a neutron, the detector would trigger the hammer to break the vial killing the cat. They placed the cat in the box and waited..." he said before the girl gasped.
"That's horrible!" she shouted.
He smirked. "Here's the point...It is random of when Plutonium to undergo beta decay, but there's a probability of when that occurs. That probability so happens to give the chance that the cat is alive when you open the box. When that box is closed, the cat is both alive and dead. Right now that box is closed on you, but unlike the cat, you have a one hundred percent chance of being alive" he said.
The girl stared at him confused before she nodded. "Okay...I think I understand" she said.
Steele smiled. "Good, because you should just worry about being a kid" he said.
Lilian stared at him oddly. "You know...that accent of your really makes you sound smart when you say that" she said.
He raised an eyebrow. "But I am smart" he said.
She rolled her eyes. "I'll believe it when you start wearing a jacket!" she teased him.
He grumbled to himself. "But, it's August!" he shouted.
She nudged him playfully. "I'm only teasing you" she said before she looked over at Don. "So, are you taking these two then?" she asked.
Don looked over at the two girls carefully and ran his fingers through his hair. "We'll be taking the one with injuries for treatment, but as for the other...We'll leave it to Steele what happens with her. The only thing we can do is deal with her parents at this juncture on the account they are uninitiated humans. I would strongly suggest putting her up with werewolf parents since they could bring the best care for her" he said.
The werewolf girl stared at Steele and gulped. "I don't want to move again" she said.
Steele scratched at the back of his head. "Well, I'm going to see to it that Bernie looks after her for a little while. He's good with pups" he said before he looked at her sternly. "I'm going to have to see what your guardians are like before I can tell if they are fit to take care of you" he said.
Lilian gulped as Don got up to head for the door. "We must get a cast on her" he said before he stopped short to look back at them. "Have a good day" he said before he walked outside.
Lilian took the injured girl's hand and took her outside where a car was waiting with the pack passenger door open. The little girl shivered before the woman in black smiled. "We'll take good care of you, I have a daughter your age" she said as Lilian lead the girl in the car, which she looked back at her worried. The woman got into the car and sighed. "Buckle yourself in" she said.
Lilian ruffled the girl's hair and smirked. "You'll do fine" she said before she shut the door and the car drove off.
Lilian looked back at Steele worried. "Okay, so now what are we going to do with her around?" she asked.
Steele looked back at the girl eating from his plate. "Well, I could use some help removing the carcasses and burying the bones. I could teach her a few things while we wait for Bernie to pick her up.
Lilian stared at him. "Steele, Bernie is staying at my place...that means she'll be going over there" she said.
Steele chuckled. "Oh no, Bernie will take her home to his place. He's got plenty of pups for her to play with" he said before he chuckled at the sight. "Well, at least she won't be hungry" he said, which Lilian looked over at the girl and smirked. "Let's get back inside" he said as he ushered her inside.
Later in the day, Bernie picked up the werewolf child after they finished removing the copious amounts of animal corpses from the property. They had to wash the stench of decomposition from their hand, which Lilian had to leave them to go greet her parents. While she made her way over to the apartments she passed not one but four deer corpses in the middle of the road, which Steele's comment about Bernie's hunting practices made her incredibly annoyed; Although, farther down the road, there were a semi-truck with a smashed in grill with a state trooper helping pull them off the road.
She saw that her parents were driving around the streets wondering the shops, which she flashed her high beams at them before she waved at them. They slowly drove over and avoided the carnage on the road, and they made it safely into the driveway.
Her mother quickly jumped out of the car, while her father slowly got out stretching and groaning as he rubbed at his sore tailbone. "Lilian! How are you?" she shouted as she gave her a hug. Her mother was of half Korean descent and average height. Her father had salt and pepper hair, and his glasses made him look like George Lucas.
Her father sighed heavily. "Oh, that was a long drive" he said before he looked down the parking lot at the massacre. "Wow, you don't usually see a whole herd get hit like that" he said.
Lilian nodded. "Yea, um...well, do you want to go over to Steele's place?" she asked.
Her mother looked at the apartment and tried to hide her uneagerness to go inside, and she smiled. "Oh, that sounds lovely! I'd love to see this boyfriend of yours" she said before she looked towards her husband with a passive-aggressive smile. He sighed heavily as Lilian waved them over, which her mother immediately took a spot in the front passenger seat. Her father tugged at his Washington Huskies t-shirt before he crawled into the back passenger seat.
As they drove, her mother looked over at the sight of the deer and sighed. "I hope you find yourself a good home" she said before she looked around the town. "This town is quiet. A little out of the way, but the mountain is beautiful from here" she said.
"So how's your work?" her father asked.
Lilian smiled. "Well, we've been getting a lot of hikers and climbers coming through. It's been not too hectic, but once winter comes, everyone from the city comes up here to ski and snowboard. That's when things pick up" she said.
"Are you going to become a Doctor?" her mother rang in.
Lilian gulped. "I will...but just needed to take a little break that's all" she said.
Her mother sighed heavily in disappointment. "It's alright to take breaks, but you can do so much with your degree already" she said as a backhanded compliment.
"Is it about money? We can give you some more" her father said.
Lilian groaned. "Dad! Please! I don't feel comfortable relying on you both..." she said.
Her mother looked at her sternly. "We want what's best for you, Lilian. Honey, you are family. You are so smart, and I can see you becoming a great doctor" she said.
Lilian rubbed her shoulder, as they got onto the gravel path up the slope. Her father gasped looking out the window. "He lives all the way up here!?" he asked as it seemed the driveway went on forever. Her mother grew worried, but her jaw dropped as they got to the crest, and she saw the mansion of a cabin. "Oh wow, he's very well off" she muttered.
Her father looked around. "This house has to cost a couple million dollars...look at the view hun!" he said.
Her mother smiled. "Wow...this is a really nice place. Why don't you move in with him?" she said.
Her father looked at her annoyed. "We haven't even met him yet..." he said.
Her mother smiled happily. "I've heard and seen enough to know that he's worthy of our daughter" she said as they parked in front of his garage. She hummed happily as they got out of the car, which Lilian smirked evilly as they approached the door. Her father was enjoying the sounds of nature not noticing the wolves watching them from a distance.
Lilian was about to knock on the door when Steele opened the door, which her mother stared at his torso before she looked up at the man, and she stared in shock. "Hey there, big guy!" Lilian said affectionately as he leaned in for her to hug him. Her father finally looked ahead and took off his glasses to clean them.
"Wow...she gets to see two mountains up here" her mother finally managed to say.
Steele looked up at them smiling. "Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe I presume?" he asked as he stretched his arm out for her father to shake, which he put his glasses back on noticing that Steele's hands were nearly twice the size of his.
"Pleasure to meet you, Steele" he said before he laughed nervously. "Our daughter told us you were big and tall, but...man, you've got to be at least seven feet tall" he said.
Steele smirked as he scratched at his head. "Well, I'm precisely 2.2 meters in height...and I don't know how much I weight right now...Last time I checked, I weighed 200 Kilos, but that was during winter" he said. He beckoned them to enter, which they did; although, they seemed to be overwhelmed.
Her father gasped. "Wow, just wow" he muttered observing how the house were built for a man of Steele stature.
Her mother smiled, but she was still shocked at the man she has been dating. "He doesn't look that much older than our daughter" she said before she closed her eyes and sighed. "As long as he's good to her...I can care less that he's a giant" she mumbled.
Lilian had wrapped her arms around his huddling up to him trying to display her bond with her parents. As they sat down on the couch, her parents continued to gawk as Lilian leaned into her mate. "So, I hear that you climb this mountain regularly. Do you have any interesting stories about your time with being a part of search and rescue?" he asked.
Steele paused and thought for a moment. "Well, a couple years back, we had a very very terrible accident. A couple of big parties tried to ascend the mountain at once, and I was just getting off my lunch when I heard that there was trouble. A one party just cleared the bergschrund; the party ahead lost their footing and rolled down knocking down all the parties below down into the crevasse. After I heard them on the radio, I cut my break short, got my gear, and headed back up the mountain. Most of the search and rescue has to come from Portland, so it was up to us to give assistance.
When I got to hogsback, my crew was already setting the anchor points set. They told me to get on the radio after they got triage done, three deceased, six Injured. The climbers were all tied together and tangled up in rope, so what happened were the climbers who fell took everyone out with their rope.
We had to wait a while for the helicopters to come in. I saw them hold up three fingers and one more. Three red tags, one yellow tag. We had to get those guys out of there; they had to move the mass of bodies off to get to them. When we got them out, the helicopters came. The first and second helicopter came and lifted the climber without incident, but third one had a bit of trouble getting steady. I was walking down the mountain when I felt the wind shift, and I looked over to see the helicopter spin out. It crashed into the side of the mountain, and it rolled. Bodies flew out only to get run over by the fuselage" he said.
Lilian gasped. "Oh god, I saw that crash on television" she said.
Steele nodded. "Yea, the news helicopter got there first. I guess if it bleeds, it leads" he said before he cleared his throat. "I ran down the mountain to check on the men, and they lived. The soft snow saved them from being killed. I had never been so sore in my life making so many runs up and down that mountain...at least with Everest I took breaks" he said.
Her father began to open up more. "I was going to ask if you wanted to join my climbing party next week" he asked.
Steele stroked his chin and thought about it. "Sure, I got time off. What mountain are you climbing?" he asked.
Her father grinned. "Rainier" he said simply.
Steele nodded. "Sure, I'm up for it. I have become jaded with working on my mountain for so long. Every mountain presents unique challenges, don't you agree?" he asked.
Her father nodded and cleared his throat. "Hey, what's the elevation here?" he asked trying to change the topic.
Steele scratched the side of his head. "Well...we are at 1480 meters so about 4455 feet" he said before his stomach began to growl. "Oh, I forgot about lunch. Anyone else hungry?" he asked before he got out of the chair much to Lilian's displeasure.
"So will we be staying here then?" Her mother asked. Lilian's eyes widened as wide as saucers.
Steele stopped and looked back smiling. "Sure, you're welcome to stay for as long as you want. Just don't mind the wolves outside" he said before he headed into the kitchen to start cooking. Her mother giggled at him finding him to be hilarious.
The father frowned. "But Ji-Hyeon, I thought we were going to stay at a hotel?" he muttered before he gulped to her intense stare.
"This place is like a resort compared to what we've seen, Lawrence" she said.
Lilian stared at her mother before she got up quietly and wondered into the kitchen where she crossed her arms over her chest. "You're going to have my parents here? Is that such a good idea?" she asked.
Steele looked back from the steaming pan of meat. "Sure, I just have to change the sheets and..." he said before he trailed off before he noticed her tapping her foot. "Oh...you think we can't be intimate tonight?" he asked. She let out a heavy sigh, and he smirked at her. "Oh, well, that's not a problem hun... we..." he said before he noticed her pointing to the calendar. "I know...Waxing and Waning Full moon isn't as intense for me than other wolves" he said.
She smacked herself in the forehead. "You know they might hear you!" she raised her voice in a low growl as she got up into his face.
He chuckled to himself lowly. "Do they even understand me?" he asked before he looked up at her mother peeping into the kitchen seeing Lilian leaning into him, and he was in a somewhat submissive position. Lilian looked back and blushed as her mother grinned at the sight before Lilian backed away blushing. Her mother hummed to herself as she turned back into the living room.
"Steele, I hope you know what you're doing...my mom gets very nosy" she said.
He turned back to the meal he was preparing. "I'm not worried about her. My nose is keener than hers" he said before she stopped and gulped. He sniffed the area over the stove before he adjusted the heat. "I think she's got something other in mind than simply approving us being together... and it's something more diabolical" he said before he chuckled.
She looked at him oddly as he leaned into the counter. "So, you think that she's pushing us to... what?" she asked.
He shrugged. "I haven't figured that out just yet; Although, No matter how much you push me, I don't break easily" he said.
She ran her fingers through her hair and smiled. "She did say that I should move in with you even though we've known each other for a month. You might think she's teasing, but she always have a deeper hidden meaning behind it" she mentioned.
He smirked. "They have been talking about me being well off...if I didn't know any better, I'm thinking she is wanting us to be more than just boyfriend and girlfriend" he said.
She squeaked and shivered. "You think so?" she asked.
He grinned. "I think we go our own pace...there's no rush is there?" he asked.
She closed her eyes and sighed. "No, but...mom sees our reproductive clocks ticking down to zero. I just now stopped her in nagging me on finding a good man. I mean I know you still got enough years, but she don't know you like I do. I don't know...I really don't want her to be pushing marriage and babies on me, but I know she's going to do it" she said as she rubbed her forehead.
He rubbed the side of his head. "Yea, well, at least you know she doesn't object to us" he said nervously.
