Yet another chapter, showing the power and experience of the Scorchclaw Flight and its leader, Seimur. Despite having somewhat lesser power than Zephyr, this dragon is a hell of a powerhouse, and we see just how he can fight here.

Chapter 7: The Scorchclaw Flight

For Txeptirea and Necross

By Draconicon

Seimur never tired of looking down upon the human planets. For every power that they could bring to bear, there was precisely one human in the galaxy worth respecting, and that one was no longer on the so-called ‘Agglomeration’s’ side. The sight of the bloated, glittering planets did not feel him with awe, or with fear, as the humans no doubt wished it to. Rather, they filled him with a sense of…need. A need to own it, take it, and make it his.

And today, that may just happen, he thought as he looked down at the planet that Zephyr called ‘Kasa.’ It was a smaller planet, not much larger than a moon, but he knew the signs of fertility. The green that spanned multiple continents told him that it was not entirely blocked out yet by machinery and the iron works that humans continued to spread across the galaxy. There were places for food and places for his flight. It was…suitable, he supposed, though not as grand as the planet that he heard Zephyr owned.

He glanced towards the shuttle that the human rode in, smirking slightly at the reminder of the human’s frailty compared to a dragon. But there was more than that. The human had offered this planet for his help in conquering it, and at the bargaining table, Seimur had considered it a fair deal.

Seeing it now…he wasn’t entirely sure.

He pulled on the powers and reached out, touching the human’s mind with his own.

Zephyr.

The human seemed distracted, shuffling his thoughts around before a returning power touched him.

What is it?

You seem to be under the opinion that this is a suitable planet for me.

It’s big enough, isn’t it?

For now. But from what I hear, yours is twice the size.

It’s in a different system. It’s not like all planets are the same size.

No, but you offer me a smaller one, anyway.

Even from this distance, he could feel the human’s frustration. Good. He felt that it was time to make sure that Zephyr knew that he was not one of the pet dragons he had in the Metal Dragonflight. He was not some tame toy, nor something that would be so malleable as that. He pushed.

We are still willing to fight. But this won’t be the last planet for us.

I never intended it to be.

I would hope not. This will barely work…and I will not be treated as anything less than an equal partner in this. So…what is your plan?

Seimur kept part of his mind focused on the brief overview of the plan as he looked down at the planet again. There was something about thinking of it as his, but something much better about thinking of it as one of his planets, the beginning of something far greater and better than anything any other dragon had.

The plan was simple enough. He and Zephyr would each take twenty dragons and circle around the planet, removing the threat of atmospheric missiles and further attacks before skimming down to the planet. With that much momentum, they’d be able to scream across the planet’s surface, ripping through the other military installations before they could scramble any sort of resistance, and break down communications to keep anyone from summoning off-planet reinforcements.

It was a pretty foolproof plan. He was curious what would go wrong.

As soon as Zephyr finished recapping it, the dark dragon floated his way towards the edge of Kasa’s gravitational field. He was halfway there when he felt Zephyr pushing at his mind again.

What are you doing?

I’m doing precisely what the plan says I should be doing. Taking down their satellites.

But we –

Just do your part, human, and I’ll do mine.

And with that, he dropped into the gravity well, and started falling. He spread his wings, his powers helping with that as he caught the pull of the planet, and started swinging himself around it at a speed that no satellite could have followed, and he smiled as he felt the rest of his flight following behind him.

They were deadly things, missiles in their own right as they skimmed the very edge of the atmosphere, just beyond the reach of air and within the pull of the planet as they sped up, taking themselves faster and faster around the planets. The lower satellites tried to track them, but they were moving faster than any of the human ships could have been capable of, faster than the machines were made to track.

Faster, faster. Around the planet in a half hour, then in twenty minutes, then in ten. Each time speeding up until they were moving around at a blur that was almost beyond understanding, the world whizzing by at a speed that his mind could barely keep track of.

At an unspoken, understood moment, he and his twenty dragons dipped. They followed a criss-crossing path through the atmosphere, cutting through the satellites in their way. The power reached out, slicing in deep cuts through the metal, blowing through the weaponry inside and setting off explosions that nothing could stop.

One satellite, two, three, four. A dozen were destroyed in short order, and a quick shout from his mind to the human’s told him that they had just finished as well.

Down!

His call was immediately acknowledged, and the twenty dragons behind him followed him in a straight shot down at the planet. They pulled at the planet as gravity pulled on them in return, shooting through the atmosphere. He felt his scales burning, heating up as fast as they could. Fire started to spark off of the edge of his snout, and Seimur grinned, pushing it faster and faster as the sparks grew more and more powerful.

They pulled up at five hundred feet above the planet surface, and the explosion that came with it scorched the land beneath them, spreading out in blazing claws along the earth as they split apart. Three came with him, and six other groups split apart, racing across the land as they roared to their targets.

His comrades followed him in a triangle shape, one just behind and on each side of him. Their wings were pulled in tight, their momentum carrying them forward faster than any flap could have. They shot over mountains and past oceans, their wings and tails still streaming fire from the sheer speed and the crackle of the oxygen catching fire along their scales.

The first target was sighted almost too late, and he roared as he spun to the side. The others followed, their powers stretching down beneath them like great claws, and they rent the military base from one side to the other, cutting it in a great swathe. Three long lines ripped through vehicles and fighters alike, leaving nothing in their wake.

Seimur knew better than to turn around and strike again. Far better to turn and spin around the world, following it again, maintaining speed. Any turning would only give them a chance to catch them as they slowed down.

Instead, they kept moving, pulling at the earth every time that they started to slow down. Base after base was ripped apart, their powers reaching down and turning them to shreds. The few human crafts that got into the air didn’t even require the powers to stop. A simple slash, the fire burning off of their scales, was enough to do the deed.

One by one, the bases went dark, until there was nothing left.

Then, and only then, did Seimur allow himself to slow down, the dragon swinging himself upwards to catch the wind. His wings flared outwards, catching the air as he started gliding. He reached out, getting reports from the other parts of his flight, and nodded in satisfaction as they all reported successful missions.

Smiling, he reached out to Zephyr.

My part is done. And yours?

I was done five minutes ago.

Hmmmph. You are more powerful than you look, human. Just how many of your pets did you suck off before we started?

More than I needed, I’m sure. Meet me at the northern pole of the planet. We’ve captured a relay for this.

I’ll be there momentarily.

Momentarily. He could be there almost instantly if he wanted, but he knew better than to arrive alone. Even with a dragon ally, it was only inviting trouble to show up for victory without his own flight behind him. With a human, who knew what would actually happen? There could be treachery, despite what Zephyr had promised.

He collected the other dragons of his flight, all unscathed from the surprise raid, and made his way towards the north side of the planet.

The communications array was a large dish that pointed up towards space, one that stretched a hundred dragon lengths long. He shook his head as he flew towards the base, where the human waited at the door. Zephyr waved at him, and Seimur chuckled.

What is this?

This is your key to finding a planet for yourself.

I see no key. I only see a great bowl.

Consider it a way of giving the people the chance to offer themselves. Come with me.

He followed the human into the installation, watching as the other dragons were already working some sort of machine in a way that humans would have done. Zephyr must have communicated some sort of instruction to them, and he wasn’t sure that he liked the sight of dragons working like humans did. It was wrong, but…

There are things that the humans have that changes their capabilities, Seimur admitted as he walked through the building. He understood almost none of it, but he knew that there was something worth learning here. The old ways were strong enough to get us here. The new ways will allow us to flourish.

And there were many ways to learn, particularly with how the human had been using other dragons. The fact that anyone could actually learn how to use the powers without being born with them was strange enough. The fact that dragons could induce it in others this way…

We weaken ourselves to empower others, like that, but for what? Just to be kind? Nonsense. We deserve a little more than that.

The more that he watched the Metal Dragonflight obey Zephyr, the more he could tell that it wasn’t quite natural. There was something there that had been changed, altered, made into something else by the human’s power. He didn’t know what it was, nor did he find it something appealing to use. But the level of devotion, the willing way that they debased themselves, was something that was…appealing.

He imagined humans on their knees before him, offering their mouths and their bodies as willingly as Zephyr’s flight offered him their cum, and he had to admit, it stirred him in a good way.

He’d stopped paying attention, so he ran right into the human when he came to a sudden stop. Grumbling, he looked down, only to see that Zephyr was using some metal keys on a board to make something appeal on screen.

What is this?

This is my way of giving the world to you.

You’re doing nothing.

On the contrary. I’m doing everything. Just…be quiet and wait.

Seimur wasn’t inclined to take orders, but the human had delivered on his promises so far. He would give him some time. Some.

He leaned back and waited, watching as the human kept playing with the keyboard. The longer it went on, the more that the dragon’s mind wandered. There was something about the way that the human believed himself a master of his own fate that tweaked at him. The only reason that Zephyr had any power was because of his service to dragons. If he hadn’t debased himself in the past, he wouldn’t have anything, and he would lose it all if he ever actually acted with the power and authority of a dragon.

Hmm, perhaps he should learn what it’s like to really be under a dragon, he thought. The idea stirred at his sheath almost as much as the idea of putting a number of humans under him in general.

He was just starting to reach down to his crotch when Zephyr chuckled.

There we go. I’m connected to the rest of the planet.

And what will that accomplish?

A simple statement, more effective than any raid. Just watch.

The screen in front of the human suddenly lit up, showing a reflection of the room in general. Seimur hid his own shocked reaction to that, and instead just watched as his fellow Flightmaster backed up from the screen.

“Citizens of Kasa, I regret to inform you that the Agglomeration has failed to protect you from outside sources. Or, rather, I would regret it if I wasn’t offering you something far better than what you have.

“Today, you have been liberated from the Enlighteners and the merchant princes of the Agglomeration. Today, you are given to new rulers, ones that are more powerful, more capable, and more honest than anything that you have dealt with in the past.”

Zephyr gestured at him, and Seimur took a few steps forward. He intentionally leaned in a way that allowed him to tower over the human, smiling to himself at the feeling he got from it.

“This is Seimur, your new Flightmaster. That is the dragon term for the one in charge of a flight of dragons, and from now on, you are a part of the Scorchclaw Dragonflight.”

They are not part of it. They are –

“You will be ruled by his commands, and he will make sure that you are safe, as a result.”

The fact that the human just pushed forward was almost enough for him to cancel their alliance then and there, but he kept himself quiet. There was still too much to lose if they started fighting on the camera. He was strong, and he knew more tricks than he knew what to do with, but Zephyr was far stronger than he had imagined. It went beyond the simple raw power that the human had discovered, for that matter; there was a genuine talent there, one that hadn’t had experience yet, but could learn quickly.

There was no point striking if he wasn’t sure he could end it quickly, and he didn’t know if he could, not here.

So the speech went on, with Zephyr continuing to tell the humans of the world who their new master was, and how they were going to live. For all that he talked about it being peaceful, Seimur couldn’t think that it would be. Few humans would want to live under dragons.

Then again…

He looked around the room, observing the dragons that were all too willing to follow Zephyr. They were banded from a number of other flights, all brought together under the human’s banner because of something or other. There was some quality that Zephyr had…perhaps there was a fascination with dragons among human kind, just like there seemed to be some fascination with humans among dragon kind.

Finally, the display shut down, and the human looked back at him.

You almost ruined that.

I was correcting you, Zephyr. There will never be a human that is part of my flight.

What were they going to be, then? Dead?

They would be property.

He felt the grip of power coming, and shoved it off to the side. The human’s attack slipped into the wall, leaving a dent the size of a full grown dragon.

Zephyr marched up to him, glaring up at his face.

Humans are not property. They aren’t slaves, they are people.

And what are dragons, then?

What are you talking about?

I’ve seen the way that you handle your flight. Do you call yourself a Flightmaster, or simply a master, human?

The look of utter consternation was beyond anything that he expected to see on Zephyr’s face. Had he touched a nerve, he wondered? Was there something that the human had not yet reconciled?

In any case, what was done was done. He walked past his fellow Flightmaster, reaching out to his own flight and telling them to return to orbit, to retrieve the rest of the Scorchclaw flight. As they took off, he turned, looking over his shoulder at Zephyr again.

I will see what happens here. But if the humans decide that they want to fight –

They won’t. I promise.

Hmmph. We will see.

#

His flight landed, and they started to explore the world. Seimur took the majority of them – about one hundred fifty – to the biggest city of the main continent. Zephyr called it Kas Kana, but he simply saw it as a walled city, something that looked like it had been a fortress at one time. Something that could be a fortress again.

He landed with a thump in the center square of its busiest area, followed by many of his followers. The humans backed away, holding themselves against the nearby buildings, staring at them.

Yet, none of them actually ran. They didn’t lift weapons, nor did they run away. They simply…stared.

Hmmm…

Seimur looked about the crowd, seeing in their eyes a worry rather than a fear. They didn’t look the sort that believed that they were about to die. Rather, they looked like they were waiting to see just what fate awaited them. They had…hope.

Perhaps Zephyr was right about them being able to learn and accept things. Let us see how they feel when they see power.

He looked about for a proper example, and saw a fountain on the far side of the city square. Reaching out with the power, he broke it beneath the ground, and ripped pipes of metal towards the sky. What had been a peaceful pond of a fountain turned into a geyser, raining down on the streets. Another thought, and the water stilled in the air, each individual droplet frozen in its slow path towards the ground.

The humans stared, gasping. Some paled, some marveled, but not one of them wasn’t impressed.

Seimur nodded to himself. It was a little better than he expected.

Humans.

They gasped again, and he stepped forward, raising one hand so that they could see who it was that spoke. How must it be, he wondered, to only tell who spoke by seeing them move? It must be so strange.

Humans. You are now the…people…under my command. I am Seimur, and I am your Flightmaster. You will line up now, so I can inspect you.

“Why?”

The sound of spoken language still presented a mystery to him, but the words always came in the head as well as the mouth. He turned to the human, an older man, who’d shouted at him. The human repeated the question.

“Why do you want us in a line? What are you inspecting us for?”

Call it…potential. I want to know what it is you can do.

“And you won’t hurt us?”

Not if you do what you’re told.

That seemed to be sufficient enough incentive for most of them. The square slowly emptied, everyone coming to a few lines in the front. Seimur gestured, two of his dragons taking to the front to examine them for strength, for speed…

For power. Seimur had a curiosity, and he wanted to see if it bore fruit.

#

Hmm…so the humans do have a few tricks of their own…

Seimur watched the human twitch and seize under him, biting off screams as he was subjected to pain after pain. The others had called him an Enlightener, and had looked frightened of him.

There was nothing to be frightened of, with this one. True, he had some power of his own, but it was different to the power of dragons. The same source, but twisted, broken. A little taste of seed, rather than empowering him, had rendered him in more pain than he had probably ever been in over the course of his life.

The same thing had happened to this Enlightener’s family, every member having the same reaction, and Seimur shook his head as he had them taken to some abandoned house to scream out their misery. He reluctantly ordered the dragons that took them there to ease their pain how they could, but didn’t push it as anything more than a suggestion. Those that had twisted the power like that didn’t deserve much in the way of relief.

But it was fascinating, nonetheless. Zephyr had told him some about these ‘Enlighteners,’ telling him that they used the power of the ‘Mindgrip’ in a way that was a weaker version than what the dragons did. Yet, if that was the case, they should have been empowered with dragon seed, not hurt by it.

There must be something intensely wrong with them. Perhaps they were as twisted inside as they felt on the outside.

Regardless, it was a puzzle for a different time.

Among the populace, there were four other humans found with some sort of potential towards the power. His flight had found them by casting about with their own minds, feeling for anything that left a hook behind, and there had been these four. Not much, admittedly, perhaps nothing more than the tiniest potential that would never be truly realized, and only four across an entire city…but it was something interesting.

As they knelt before him, and he sat upon a molded throne in the human ‘mansion’ that he’d claimed for himself, he looked them over. They were not particularly bad looking humans, though not one of them had any sort of suitability to be strong or anything worth a fight. All four were soft, stretching their comfortable clothing to the limit in the back, but the most interesting thing about them was that they were not in the least afraid.

Why are you not afraid?

“Because…”

He turned to the human in the middle left of the line, the oldest of them. A father, perhaps, of other humans. He was perhaps the most fit of them, though with the biggest belly over his muscles. Seimur gestured for him to go on, and the older man nodded.

“Because you are not hurting us. Yet. You haven’t done anything that we should be afraid of. Yet. You only attacked the Enlighteners…and we didn’t like them much anyway.”

I believe it’s more than that, humans.

He looked up and down the line of them, chuckling to himself as he saw the differences in them. Two of them could barely be adults at this point, while the father was definitely the oldest of the bunch. The final was the softest looking, somewhere in the middle. Perhaps someone that had done the least with his life.

They were all pale, though, looking like they hadn’t done a day of work in their life. Yet, at the same time, they looked all too willing. Not fearfully, but eagerly willing.

There is something different to you, besides a simple lack of fear. You may not be willing to say what it is yet, but there is something to you that is most strange compared to the rest of the people. Perhaps you have a…fascination that you don’t want to admit?

With how fine-tuned his own senses were, he felt it. The speeding heart-rate, the rush of blood, and – most specifically – just where that blood went. To the face, to burn, and to the crotch, to harden.

Seimur chuckled, extending his power towards them. They all gasped as they arched their back, feeling his touch on their crotches.

You have a fascination for my kind, do you not? You see us, powerful, majestic, flying about with a strength that none of you can match. There is a natural instinct in you, a need to…submit.

“Submit…”

He smiled and nodded at the old man’s word.

Yes. Submit. Perhaps you only fantasized about it. Perhaps you laid in bed one night, your hand over your cock, and you thought of what it would be like if you were conquered. Perhaps you thought of what life would be like under another ruler, and took it that little bit further.

Perhaps you wondered what it would be like…to be OWNED.

The four humans gasped at that, but there was no real shock there. The sight of their pants bulging, their cocks rapidly throbbing to erection told him all that he needed to know. They had the fantasy. They had the need.

Perhaps it was not potential to the power that the people had felt. After all, power required some talent, some devotion to it, some learning to figure out how to use it properly. But it all started as an openness, a means of reaching out to the universe and letting the universe reach back.

And these humans were all too eager to be reached for, to be taken.

Seimur chuckled as he started to slide his grip up and down the four humans, squeezing them, taunting them with his own touch. He could feel them, all of them, starting to pant and whisper and whimper to each other. They were all endowed nicely, though the better part was on the back.

They slumped forward, one by one falling on all fours as he used his power to stroke them, tease them from the front and the back. He watched their rumps depress as if groped by invisible hands, feeling the curves they had from their soft lives, their lack of hardship. Another dragon, he supposed, would have wanted to punish them, to use them and hurt them until they understood the sort of life that most people dealt with on a daily basis.

For him…he smiled.

You will learn how to enjoy your submission, humans. There is a place in the Scorchclaw Dragonflight for you, but you will never be equal to the dragons around you. You have no power, no strength, no utility for us, save for one thing.

“What…”

The old man looked at him, and Seimur could see that he, at least, understood what was going on. The others, however, looked utterly clueless, and the dragon slowly shook his head.

My point stands. You are useful for this, and you will learn how to give yourselves up in a way that relieves any dragon that asks for you. Me, above all.

And he needed that relief. He needed it worse than he had expected, after the fight and everything else. His blood had been stirred, and it hadn’t settled with the use of the Enlighteners. His cock pushed forward from under his loincloth, and the humans stared at it as he looked at them, following the line up and down, until he gestured at the two youngest. They looked alike enough to be twins, and perhaps they were. Yet, it didn’t matter as they crawled towards him.

Pleasure me…

#

He returned to Zephyr’s shuttle hours later, the human parked outside of the city with a few hundred of his own flight. Seimur had little concern with that. They had become allies, now, and the human was not the sort to push for things now. The planet was his, and the people had bowed to him. To take him down now would be to hurt his own image, and Zephyr was smarter than that.

The human looked at him, cocking his head to the side.

You feel…different.

I feel better. I had some…fun.

I see. And the people?

They are being treated well.

Good. You aren’t –

I am doing what I have to do.

Seimur…

Your shuttle. Let us talk.

He walked onto the shuttle before the human could say anything, nudging past the little bodyguard dragon that Zephyr seemed to keep around almost as a toy. The black dragon stepped out of the way, allowing him into the back of the shuttle, and the human followed.

They sat at two different sides of a table, with the human leaning forward and him leaning back. Seimur smiled, nodding to himself.

This was a good start to the conquest.

A start? Then you have a wish to continue?

To continue? Human, you’ve awoken a hunger in me to conquer the whole of the Agglomeration, as you call it. They have the worlds to house a hundred different flights, a thousand, and there is a hunger out there for my kind, something that they don’t yet understand.

What are you talking about?

You will see. Perhaps you even feel it –

I told you before, Seimur, I don’t go for that.

Perhaps he didn’t now, but the dragon had little doubt that the human housed the same sort of need as the rest of his kind. He smiled to himself. One of these days, there would be confrontation between himself and Zephyr, and when that day came, he would be the one to walk away on top.

Humans were needy for dragons. Humans were already eager to submit. The only reason that Zephyr still stood on top of a flight of his own was because he had tasted dominance first, and had held onto it ever since. The moment he felt the true pleasures of submission, the human would fall.

He looked forward to the day, but until then, there was a war to fight.

Show me the other worlds from here. You have a map, yes?

…I do. Here.

Zephyr activated the table between them, drawing out a map of the system and three others around it. As he started naming the different worlds, Seimur looked over it and observed the distances between the planets, and the other icons on the map. There were many things to be curious about, but he saw possibilities. Places to strike, places to feint at, places to threaten, places to ignore. The worlds were waiting, and all he had to do was reach out…

And the human and his Metal Dragonflight would be his key towards greatness.
