Enjoy!

I walked around in the savannah alone, looking for something to hunt and eat.

I was pretty hungry this morning when I woke up in the cave. Of course, usually I hunt with the other lionesses in the pride, but I wanted to do this on my own. Just to help clear my head.

Because I'll be honest...My life has really gone to shit. Why? Because of Chad.

I'm sorry, maybe I should tell you a little bit about myself. My name's Jade. Beautiful name, huh? My mother gave me that name.

You see my life wasn't always perfect. In fact living a life of a princess can be a real stressful thing.

I didn't have a lot of friends when I was a cub. In fact, the only friend that I really had around that time...Was my aunt Karone.

Of course, she didn't even love me at all. She was just using me to get to my father and my mother. She was the one who'd murdered my sister Ruby, and then sometime later she murdered my mother, Amara.

My father exiled her and her followers and for years I was living alone with my father and the pride. Nobody didn't understand my pain. No one never did.

All except...Casper.

I smiled to myself at the thought of Casper. Yes, Casper, that was his name.

Who's Casper? You may ask. Well, you see Casper wasn't a lion, he's a human. A very nice human at that.

You see I met Casper since...I don't know when I really did met him, I think I've lost track. Anyways, I met him once at a pond that's near my cave where my pride lives.

Of course at first I didn't trust him. But when he saved my life from a crocodile, I realized he wasn't so bad at all. That he really is kind and caring. Cared for my feelings and all that.

But I think what really set off our friendship is, I told him what I've went through when I was a cub. And Casper pretty much was there for me.

But my father, Bron, didn't approve of a human wondering in the pride. He exiled him, and I ran away from home afterwards. Because Casper is my best friend and I was sad about his exile. Too upset, actually.

After I ran away, I actually found Casper at his human camp, and after that that's when things got me more curious.

Because when he tried to introduce me to a few other humans that he knew, it turned out only he can understand me and I only can understand him. It was strange to me, I thought I would talk to other humans, but that wasn't the case.

But despite that, me and Casper have become really close friends. TOO close in fact.

You see what I mean is...I was starting to love him. In a intimate way. One day when me and him were playing, I pictured him as a lion and that was made me realize of my feelings for him.

I did tell him about them, but he didn't want to be with me in THAT way. He admitted he felt the same way about me, but he wanted to be with someone else. Another human. He said we were too different to be together.

At first, I was distraught at his rejection. But not VERY long afterwards, my first best friend Leon, who is a lion who was trying to search for me after I ran away, came to me and he admitted he fell in love with me. He even kissed me.

Suddenly, I felt shocked at the revelation and I realized I was starting to fall in love with Leon as well. Even though I still felt something for Casper, we both knew it wouldn't happen that way.

He wanted to be with a human and I wanted to be with someone who was like me, and it was Leon.

I knew Leon for a long time. One day when I was a cub, he came to my father's lands, and my father actually accepted him in the pride. It turned out Leon's family was killed and he just wondered around on his own. He didn't have a pride to live in. It was only his family he was with.

Which I'm still glad up to this day that my father actually let Leon stay in the pride. He was starving to death! He wasn't old enough to hunt, we were both cubs back then. And since then, me and him were close. We even became best friends.

Well, back then I thought he wouldn't understand my pain about my sister's death around that time. I thought he was sucking up to my father and I was wrong about him. He really did care about me. Honestly, he even felt guilty for not standing up for Casper when my father exiled him.

Since his confession toward me, me and Leon have been more closer than ever. We became boyfriend and girlfriend.

But when it came to me and Casper, there was also danger. You see my aunt still had a vendetta against me and my family, and she wanted to kill me and Casper.

More than that, she wanted to use US for her own plans to take over the pride, but we foiled her plans, and we both killed her and her human friend, Charlie McBride, who it turned out he could talk to lions too, just like Casper.

As it turned out there was this....Experiment as Casper would call, that makes him talk to me and the other lions. It's a long story about that. I don't remember the details anymore.

Anyways, they are gone, and Casper has finally been accepted in the pride, the very first human to do so. My father started to trust him more than ever and while me and Leon were basically boyfriend and girlfriend, Casper was my best friend in the whole world. Even after my aunt died, her followers were even accepted in the pride as well, which it's a good thing. They're all like us, at heart. And my aunt, didn't have a heart at all. All she cared about was herself.

Casper was always there for me. We played together, we talked to each other. But one day...He had to go back to his home. He said that he was only staying in my lands for the whole summer, as he would say it, and I don't know when he was gone. One day he said goodbye to me and promised me he would come back to me. I actually believed him.

But he has been gone for a long time, and I really MISS him. Even everyone in my pride, including me, thought that he's dead. But I don't want to think of him as dead, but I can't help it.

Of course, I can still feel my feelings towards him up to this day. But not as extreme as before. It's just...I miss him.

But the only lion who doesn't make me feel alone and fills the hole in my heart is Leon. He always did find a way to make me laugh. My dad was even training him to be the next king in line.

But one day my dad said he wasn't fit to be the king. That he didn't have to right qualities. So that was pretty much a downhill spiral from there.

What came next is another lion came from a distant land, and his name's Chad. And I freakin hate him.

I growled to myself as I walked. That sadistic prick. I can't believe he's living in my pride right now. He lies, blackmails me, and tries to control me. He even lies to my father through his teeth! My father even wants Chad to be king, but he's blind!

Why? Because I tried to tell father about what Chad is like, but he doesn't believe me!

I would have went to Leon since I love him. But Chad, since he has partial control, had exiled Leon, because he wants ME all to himself! That bastard even wants me to be his mate and he's sick!

I will never be his mate! NEVER! I love Leon.

I don't talk to Leon much, since he was exiled. I know that he lives in a cave outside the pride now. I sometimes do visit him, not a lot because of Chad. He wants me to leave him alone and accept him as his mate.

I wish my father would listen to me, but he won't! Only because he wants a 'great' king to take his place. But he never gave Leon a chance! I know I love father, but it's partly his fault for causing me so much distress.

Not to mention not listening to me about Chad. Chad, that sick asshole.

I will never bear his cubs. NEVER.

While I was walking I felt some kind of...Tingle at my butt. And I knew what it was.

It turns out I'm in heat. I have been a few times in my life.

Chad pretty much doesn't know about it, only me and Christa, Karone's daughter, know about it.

I try to keep Chad a good distance from me. But sometimes I think he's catching on.

That's pretty much the one and only reason why I'm hunting alone and why I want to clear my head. To get away from him.

I sighed unhappily. Casper...I wish you were here.

I walked through the tall grass and I could see a herd of zebra in the distance. I smiled to myself. Finally some meat I could eat!

I crouched low to the ground and I snuck quietly through the grass. Careful not to make a sound.

But I accidentally hit a rock with my paw and it made a noise. My eyes went wide. Shit!

The zebras heard the noise and they all started to run away. I jumped out of the tall grass and ran after one, one who was alone away from the herd.

I sprinted hard after it, since knowing me I'm the fastest runner in the pride. I had a good teacher after all. My four paws running though the land at high speed.

I was catching up to the zebra, until I was so close behind it and then I used all my power in my hind legs and jumped at it.

I landed hard on its back, the zebra crying out in shock and pain. The zebra with me on its back crumbled to the ground. The zebra tried to get away from me and I wrestled with it. Until I finally sunk my jaws into its throat, killing it.

The zebra finally stopped squirming and it just died in my throat and paws. Finally I opened my jaws and let it go. The zebra's head falling to the ground.

I licked my chops, my stomach growling. Finally something to eat!

*****

I went to a nearby pond after I had my fill. If anyone from the pride is hunting, they can have what's left of it.

I had a drink and then I washed the blood off my face. I looked at my reflection. Not bad, girl. I giggled to myself.

I whirled around and then I started to walk away from the pond. As I walked I was thinking about Casper, his face flooding through my mind.

I can barely remember his face now. It's been so long since I've seen him. I know that he's a human, that's about it, but I can barely remember his face.

I had a glum look as I walked. Why did he have to leave me? I mean, I know he doesn't live here, but he does belong here....With me.

I walked across the savannah when I finally saw something in the distance. I could see a few humans walking around. I crouched low to the ground and I watched them. They don't look young just like Casper.

A part of me felt like I wanted to talk to them, but another part said that they wouldn't understand me. Only Casper would.

I started to have tears fill up my eyes. Casper...

We became best friends and I had even loved you, as a mate. Even though I was rejected by you, you still became my best friend. You never thought differently about me. Then you just up and left me, saying goodbye to me. I could still remember that day when he and his family left in that...Jeep. I could still see his face filled with tears. Waving at me through the window.

I remember that I ran after the jeep while they were driving away from me. But the jeep was too fast for me. I still remember how much I've cried after he left me alone that day.

I would miss his whole family, including his aunt Tab, but I would miss him more. He was the first guy I fell in love with.

You'd promised me that you would come back to me, but you never did.

Why? Why didn't you come back Casper? Why couldn't you just stay here?

I need you. I want you to hold me in your human arms and hold me tight. I...I want to cry into your shoulders, just like I have before.

But you can't now, because you're gone and I'm alone.

I don't have Leon as much as before, not to mention that another lion is nothing like him at all. He doesn't have a heart like you guys do. He's no good to me or the pride.

The tears started to fall down my face as I watched the humans walk.

Casper....

I miss you.

I don't want to think of you as dead. I don't want to lose you too.

I've lost my sister and my mother, I can't bear to lose you.

Please come back to me....Please. Don't die.

Then I reared back my head and let out a very loud roar. A roar of sadness. It echoed throughout the whole land.

When the echo finally ended, I finally broke down to the ground and started sobbing. My head buried in my paws.

Casper...

Please come back to me.

You promised me you would. Don't EVER forget that promise.

*****

I mumbled in my sleep while I was sleeping on my favorite rock outside my pride's cave.

Then I opened my eyes and screamed real loud in fear. I stared to breath heavily and realized that it was just a dream. A nightmare. I sighed. Thank the ancestors of my pride it was just a dream.

What I was dreaming about was Karone. That she came back and killed me.

It wasn't the first time I was dreaming about her. I dream about her every now and then. I know she's dead, but...Why do I get the feeling she's still there for me?

I looked up at the sky and realized the sun's about to set. I sighed again and then I got up on all fours, letting out a big stretch. When I was done stretching, I saw Christa coming to me. She had a worried look on her face.

Christa with that look on her face, cocked her head at me, "Are you okay?"

I nodded and smiled at her, "Yeah, I'm fine."

She nodded, "Let me guess, same dream?"

I sighed and muttered, "Yeah, same one. I don't know why I still dream about your mom."

Christa shrugged, "Well, I don't know what to tell you about that girl." Then she grinned at me and said, "Can I sit with you?"

I nodded and sat down on my butt, "Sure, please."

Christa came up and sat down on her butt beside me. She sighed and then I let out a sigh as well.

Christa while she looked up at the sky muttered, "You know you have been gone today for a long time. Did Chad get on your nerves again?"

I had an angry look on my face, "Well more or less, yeah." Then I whispered to her, "Honestly, I think my heat cycle is still going on."

Christa looked at me and grinned, "I had a feeling that's another reason why you'd left. You're just keeping your distance from him."

I nodded and I looked at her, "Yeah, I mean...This is really bothering me. I mean, I feel like I'm going crazy right now. I have been through so much stress, and on top of that-"

Christa cut me off with a paw held up, "You don't have to say no more, I get it. I went through the same thing as well. The heat driving me crazy and all that stuff. Hell, why do you think I've found the first rogue outside the pride?"

I just giggled when she said that, "Well, you couldn't control your urges and I seem to have a handle on them."

Christa said, "But even though I was with that guy for a while, I didn't regret being with him. For the very first time in my life, I have my first cub and it's Suri."

I smiled at her, "Yeah, and she's still cute. She's growing up so fast!"

Christa giggled, "No kidding, she's starting to take her attitude from me." Then she put a paw to her chest and jokingly said, "Me, a lioness with attitude. Suri even starts angrily chewing on that antelope the other day! She's becoming a real hunter now."

I rolled my eyes, "She's still a cub, Christa."

She waved me off with a paw, "Well, she will be the best huntress one day! You shall see about that, cousin."

I laughed, "I'll keep that in mind." Then I had a glum look on my face, "But I'm still afraid that if Chad finds out that I'm in heat, he will-"

Christa shook her head, narrowing her eyes a bit at me, "Stop Jade. Just stop. He won't find out, you're doing a good job of hiding things."

I said, "Hmpf, well I can't hide things from him forever."

Christa assured, softening that look, "Yes, but the heat won't last forever, either. You just have to wait a little longer."

I sighed, "I'm trying to be calm about this. I...I don't want Chad's cubs. I want...His."

Christa nodded slowly when she knew right away who it was, "Can't get him out of your head, can you? Did you see him recently?"

I answered, "Well, I saw him a little while ago. I forgot when though."

Christa then gave me a smile, "Well, I think you better talk to him. After all, he still cares about you. At least tell him you're going through your heat cycle."

I shrugged, "What good will that do?"

All she did was just wink at me, "I'm sure you'll know. You two had held it off ever since you've been together, and I know you like cubs because of my daughter. I'm sure you would be a great mother."

I just blushed when I knew what she was talking about, "Christa...If I try anything, it's a risk. If Chad finds out-"

Christa shook her head, "I wouldn't know if you guys 'did it' or not. That's none of my business, but don't hold it off forever. What if Chad decides to kill Leon out of hate? And he'll tell your father about it with some lie he makes up? If Leon dies, then you will regret it. Please, just think about it."

That's when Suri, Christa's daughter came to us with her little paws and smiled up at us, "Hi, aunty Jade!"

I smiled down at her, "Hi, little Suri, how are you doing?"

Suri nodded, "I'm good, aunty! Me and mommy went hunting today!" She crouched low to the ground and let out a growl.

I giggled and so did Christa. Then Christa said to her daughter, "Come on, it's getting kinda late. Time for bed."

Suri whined, "But mommy-"

Christa gave her a stern look, "Right now, alright?"

Suri gave in, dipping her head, and sighed, "Alright fine." Then she shot up her eyes at me and immediately brought that smile back on her face, "Bye, aunty Jade!" Then she turned and ran off.

I giggled when I saw her run off. She really is cute. Then Christa glanced to me and said, "Just think about what I've said. At least talk to Leon about it. Have a cub with him, if you want." Then she had a pity look on her face, "I know you have felt alone since Casper left and you've felt worse since Leon got exiled. Don't you think you should do something about it?"

I just stared at her with the same look of my own, and she said with a small nod, "Just think about it, before it's too late. I don't want you hurt again." Christa then looked at the direction her daughter ran off to and said, "I need to get going now." Before she could leave, she nuzzled me, "I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight." My cousin backed away and started walking after her daughter.

A sigh escaped my muzzle after she left me alone. Me? Have a cub? I don't know about that.

But she does have a point. I really do feel alone when Casper left and now I feel worse than before when Leon got exiled.

I'll sneak out of here and talk to Leon. Hopefully, that'll make me feel better.

I decided to go ahead and just leave. I was about to trot further away when Chad's voice stopped me, "Where do you think you're going, beautiful?"

I looked over my shoulder with a glare and saw him. Smiling smugly at me. God, that grin! I hate his grin.

I sternly said with pride, "Don't call me beautiful."

Chad came to me with slow strides, "You know you really are good looking. In fact, I think you would make a great mother one day."

My eyes went wide. Does he know about...?

With that grin on his face, I began to figure it out. Crap, he does know!

I formed another glare and said with a bit of a growl welled up in my throat, "If I were you, I stay the hell away from me."

Chad then got close to my face to nuzzle me softy. My eyes went wide with fear. He said while he nuzzled me, "I really like you, Jade. How long have we known each other?"

I sternly said, "Long enough, I think. Long enough to know what a creep you are."

He stopped rubbing his face against me, and looked deep into my eyes, "I want you, Jade. I know you want me. Your body says so."

I backed away from him, still talking to him with strong pride, "I don't want you. I could never want you. No matter what my body says. So you can just move downwind." Then I started to walk away from him.

He let out a huff with a glare and asked, "Where are you going?"

I yelled out without looking back, "Hunting!" I still kept on walking.

Heading to where Leon is staying at.

*****

The sun's almost out. About to be replaced with stars in the sky.

I saw Leon's cave in the distance. After Chad talked to me before I left, I've made sure that I wasn't being followed by him. And it turned out I wasn't. Guess he believed about me going hunting. Either that or he was pissed off.

He deserves to be rejected. He's a monster.

I padded closer to Leon's cave and I saw him sitting outside of it. His eyes went wide and he smiled, "Jade."

I smiled back, "Hey Leon." Then I nuzzled him and he begun to nuzzle back. I pulled away and asked, "Whatcha doing?"

Leon just shrugged his shoulders, "Nothing much really. Just sitting outside watching the sunset. Minding my own business." Then he cocked his head at me, "And what are you doing out here tonight?"

I cleared my throat and replied, "I came to see you, silly." Then I gave him a big grin, showing my teeth.

Leon giggled, "Let me guess...Chad got on your nerves again?"

I giggled as well, "How did YOU know that?"

He playfully grinned at me, "Because we both hate him so freakin much."

I laughed, "Good point!" We both shared a laugh together. Then I asked when it died down, "Can I join you?"

He nodded and patted a spot beside him, "Go ahead."

I smiled and sat down beside him. Just enjoying his company already.

*****

About a few hours later and it's night now. The stars shining in the sky.

Me and Leon were still sitting outside together. We were just chatting, joking around, sharing old memories. Just like the old times. Before Chad took it all away.

It feels like nothing hasn't changed here. Hell, I wish we could live here together.

Leon and I laughed after we both brought up an old memory from our cubhood.

He said, "Hell, I still remember the time when you were outside after the rain stopped and then-"

I gasped and tried to swipe at his muzzle, "You shut your MOUTH!"

Leon only drew his head back to dodge my paw as he giggled, and just finished telling his tale anyway, "You landed on your back on that puddle and you were screaming 'I'm drowning, I'm drowning'."

I shot a glare at him, "Only because I don't swim and I HATE water, you moron."

He let out a laugh when he shot back, "Hey, YOU were the moron. You thought you were drowning!"

I rolled my eyes and exclaimed, "I was a cub! I didn't know what was happening."

He rolled his eyes as well, "Excuses, excuses." Then we both laughed again.

After we were both done laughing, we both sighed and stared up at the stars. I said after a minute of silence had passed, "Hey Leon."

Leon looked at me, and I looked at him when I said with a bit of a quizzical look upon my face, "Do you remember all the stories that father told you about ghosts of dead loved ones on Mt. Kilimanjaro watching over us?"

He nodded and smiled, "Yeah, and he thought that your grandparents and your sister was watching over us. I remember him telling me that when I was a cub."

I nodded when I casted a glance at the sky, "Yeah, and now my mother is up there. She has been the whole time." I put on a bit of a angry face as I remembered the only reason why she died, "And it was all thanks to Karone."

Leon shrugged and shot his head to the left, "Well, lets put it this way. At least Karone's gone, too."

I shrugged too, melting that glare off me, "I guess so." Then I had a glum look in my eyes and I looked down at my paws.

Leon had a concerned look and asked, "What's wrong?"

I sighed in sadness, "I was thinking about...Casper."

Leon just looked at me with the same expression as he asked in a bit of a muttered tone, "You think he's dead too, right?"

I sighed again and nodded in reply, "All of us have, including my father and Christa."

Leon shook his head, "I don't want to think he's dead. I mean, I know he's stronger than that."

I looked at him and said, "But he hasn't come back for...God knows how long. He promised me he would come back, but he hasn't." Then I added by shaking my head, "I mean...I don't REALLY think he's dead. A part of me still thinks he's alive. Maybe he's not dead at all. Maybe he will come back here."

Leon sighed, "Jade, he's been gone for a long time. Surely he would have come back by now."

I argued, "But he has a home too, Leon. You can't just leave it." Then I looked down at my paws again, somber tone in my voice, "But I wish he did just leave it. Then me and him would be together. FOREVER."

Leon shook his head and waved a paw, "Look, I'm not trying to be rude or that I'm trying to put you down, but...I don't think he's coming back."

That broke my heart hearing that and I had a few tears falling down my face, "I know, Leon. I'm thinking that as well. Maybe he is dead and he's not coming back." Then I started to sob near him.

Leon just nuzzled me comfortingly and then I softly said, "I love him, Leon. I still love him up to this day."

He wrapped a paw around me, pulling me close, "I know you loved him. But it wasn't meant to be."

I muttered while he still held me, a few more tears streamed down my cheeks, "I know."

He added while he caressed my back with his forepaw, "And we both need to let him go one day, as well. We can't keep this up forever."

I shouted, "I KNOW!" Then I sighed and softly said, lowering my voice, "I know."

Leon had an apologetic look, "I'm sorry, Jade. I'm not trying to hurt you."

I nodded while he still held me and then I broke down into his mane and cried for a long time.

Finally I stopped sobbing and pulled away from him and looked into his eyes lovingly, "I'll be honest. I love you more than Casper. He was my first love, but you are the one for me. He's not a lion and I have to live with that. I...Really missed you."

He smiled at me and nuzzled me lovingly, "I've missed you too." We both started purring together.

I decided I've had it. Maybe I do need a cub, I don't care anymore. I don't want to feel alone anymore, and I love Leon. I decided to just tell him about my heat. I said while we were still rubbing our heads with each other, "There's...Something I need to tell you. There's a reason why I came here."

He asked, "What is it?"

I was about to tell him, but then he started sniffing. My eyes went wide and I pulled myself away from him. Soon he caught on and frowned at me, "Wait a minute...Are you in heat?"

I blushed a bit and I modestly replied to the question, "Maybe."

He pressed me, "Jade."

I giggled a bit and then I admitted it, "Ok fine, I am."

His eyes went wide and he cocked his head at me, "Is that why you came here? Because of this?"

I gave him a truthful nod, "Yes."

Then he growled, anger flashing in his eyes, "Did Chad hurt you?"

My eyes went wide at that, and I shook my head, "No, he didn't hurt me. He knows, but I'd kept my distance from him."

Leon softened his gaze and asked, "So why are you really here, then? To keep his distance?"

I only stated, "More than that."

"What?"

I sighed, "Look Leon, it might sound a bit much, but...Did you remember our conversation about...Having cubs?"

His face went wider than before and he blushed at that. He slowly nodded, "I remember it well. It was sometime after Casper left."

I cocked my head at him, "So why didn't we have cubs together?"

Leon sighed, "Because I thought we weren't ready, and I was under training from your father. Besides that I wanted to have a cub together AFTER we were both king and queen."

I groaned and waved a dismissive paw at him, "So what about the traditions? So what if we have a cub before we are king and queen? I'm tired of it honestly."

Leon had apprehension in his voice, "Jade-"

"I don't care, Leon! I've had it! I love you and I don't love anyone else. I'm tired of everything. I'm tired of feeling alone, I'm tired of bending over backwards for Chad, and I'm...Tired of not being with you."

I put paw to my chest and said in defiance, "I am your girlfriend, but I want to be with you fully. We haven't mated before. But now I want to be with you fully and completely." Then I gave him a confident smile.

Leon was about to protest, "But Jade-"

I put a paw to his mouth, "I don't care anymore, Leon. I mean...What if something terrible happened to you?" Then I put the paw down, "Look, I've lost my sister, my mother, and Casper may not even come back, so I've lost him as well. I don't want to lose you too, but if something does happen to you, I don't want to take that chance."

Then I waved a paw at him, "Let me put at it this way. I don't want to feel alone anymore. You can't come to my home right now and what if Chad just kills you? You might beat him, but what if you can't? I don't want someone else's cub. I WANT YOURS."

Leon then frowned at me, "And what if Chad finds out you're pregnant by me? He might kill our cub, and then he'll come after me."

I had a determined look, "I'll take my chances." Then I nuzzled him again and pleaded, "Please Leon, I want to do this while we have the chance. Don't you want to become a father?"

"Of course I do, it's just-"

I cut him off again, "Look, if you want to leave, then we'll leave. We'll leave together. Right now if you want."

He pulled himself away from me, asking in a curious tone, "But where would we go?"

I spoke with a shake of my head, "Anywhere. I don't care where."

Leon shook his head on his end, "Jade, I don't want to leave these lands. We don't know where we would go. Maybe Chad will leave one day. Maybe your father might let me back in the pride."

I sighed, "Look, I won't force you. I don't want to leave either. Then we won't leave. We'll take our chances here."

Leon still had a nervous look on his face, "I still don't think it's a good idea. I mean...Having a cub together. It's still TOO risky."

I got on all fours and said, "Look Leon, I won't force you to mate me, either. It's your choice. But really think about it. I don't want you killed. I mean, I don't know what would happen in the future. Chad's crazy, and who knows what would happen with him around."

Then my face widened up as I simply stated, "This conversation we are having, THIS could be our last. Like I said, I don't know the future, but I don't want to take the chance."

I sighed again, only this time in defeat, and then I turned my back on him, "I really love you, Leon, but it's your choice. I won't force it." Then I looked over my shoulder and said to him, "Goodnight, Leon." Then I looked ahead and started to walk away from him.

I would've walked further, until I heard his voice call out, "Wait!"

I stopped in my tracks and whirled around to face him. He had a thoughtful look on his face. He was thinking about it.

I cocked my head at him, "Do you want to talk about it some more?"

Leon had this look and then he walked up right at me. When he got close, he pressed his mouth against mine. The sudden romantic gesture startled me at first and then I closed my eyes and kissed him back. Our jaws parting, deepening our kiss.

We both sat down on our butts and then I raised a paw to reach behind his neck and started to caress it.

Finally, we pulled away and we stared into each others eyes. He smiled at me, sounding very certain, "I'll take my chances as well. We've hold this off, long enough. I think, it's time we have a cub together."

I beamed at him and I gave his muzzle another kiss. I giggled when I pulled back. I gave him a devious grin, "Then what are we waiting for?"

Leon nodded, and me and him both went back to his cave, going inside it. After we went in there, I turned myself around and looked at him again. Leon smiled at me and he sat down on his butt again, "So what now?"

That's when I gave him a seducing stare, "Don't talk, only do." Then I walked up to him, taking slow sexy strides. I kissed him again and then I gave him a shove and he yelped. He landed on his back and I got on top of him. Pinning him down with my paws on his chest.

I looked down at him and said, "I know how to get you worked up, you handsome lion." Then I lowered my head to his chest and licked it. He gasped in pleasure.

Then he tumbled with me and now he was on top of me, he grinned down at me, "And here's how I know how to get you worked up, you beautiful lioness." Then he lowered his head and gave me a long lick on my neck. I moaned. Oh my god, his tongue feels good!

When he was done, we both looked at each other and then we kissed deeply again. We stopped kissing and then he got off of me.

I rolled onto my stomach and moved my tail aside, inviting him fully. I looked over my shoulder and grinned at him.

He still had apprehension in his eyes, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

I nodded, "I'm VERY sure. Please Leon, DO IT."

That got him the confidence he'd wanted and he got on my back, putting his weight on me. He got his head close to mine and nuzzled me, we both purred. We looked at each other again and then he pulled away.

Then I felt something going inside me through my behind and I gasped in pain. Leon grunted as well, putting himself inside me slowly.

He stopped and we've both adjusted to the feeling. Until he licked the back of my neck and started to mate me. Pulling in and out of me slowly.

The pain wasn't there anymore and it was replaced with an incredible feeling. A feeling I'd never felt before. I moaned in pleasure, while he was still mating me. I unsheathed my claws, they're digging in the stone. Making small cuts.

His thrusts started to speed up and he was moaning as well. I could feel his thing inside me. I delightfully moaned again, and cried out, "Please Leon, harder."

He started to pound me harder, putting more force in his thrusts. He put his paw around my chest, to keep me from sliding on the smooth cave floor. I put my paw over his, clutching it tight.

Leon is the one. He really is.

That's why Casper and I weren't together, because Leon IS THE ONE.

Our moment was lead to this. Our friendship when we were cubs lead us to this.

Leon moaned and then he got his head closer to mine again. I turned my head to look at him and he kissed me. A deeper kiss than before and my moan was muffled in his mouth.

Leon pulled his head away, and then he nuzzled the back of my neck and bit down on it. Not hard enough to hurt me, just to give me pleasure.

His thrusts became erractic now. He was getting close, I could feel it.

I groaned and yelled, "LEON!" Then I let out a roar of pleasure.

He held me tight with his paw to my chest and he still pounded me hard. Until he finally gave me one last thrust and buried himself in me. He opened his mouth to let go of my neck and let out an earth shattering roar. The roar reverberated off the cave walls and I could hear that it'd rang out through the cave entrance.

Leon collapsed on my back and we were both spent. Both of us panting. He licked my neck in a loving matter.

Leon finally pulled himself out and he laid down beside me, still panting. I looked at Leon and I licked his nose in return. I pulled away from him and smiled, "I love you, Leon."

He smiled back at me, "I love you too, Jade." Then we both laid so close to each other. Feeling content with our furs pressing against each others.

Suddenly my brain just clicked. Holy crap, we just did it! Now I'm going to have a cub with him.

But I don't care if it came with a price. I'll take my chances.

If Chad wants to kill my child, and if he tries to kill Leon for it, he can get through me.

Leon is the ONE for me and nothing will change that.

Casper...If you're watching this, if you did die, I hope you know that I'm happy right now.

Because I am.

Now I just had to wait and see what the future holds.

*****

Several Months Later

It was just another day in the savannah, out hunting as usual.

It has been so many days after I've had my first mating with Leon and now in my stomach I could feel a kick.

I've told Leon this days ago and saw how pretty happy he was about it. I've never told anyone else this, not even Christa. Even I'm happy about it.

Of course, I'm still worried for my cub's safety, Chad still doesn't know about me and Leon. Wish I hope he does not.

But I will find a way to protect my baby from him. I will, no matter what.

I was walking back to my cave where my pride lives when I heard a voice in a distance, "JADE!"

I stopped in my tracks and turned to the voice. It wasn't too far away. I heard the voice again, "JADE!"

I cocked my head. Who is that? Who's calling me?

I ran off in that direction to find the voice, and in the distance I could see something. I gasped.

I saw a male human backing away from two cheetahs, getting ready to pounce on him.

My eyes went wide. They're going to kill him! I have to save him!

I ran to them sprinting, and I made a big jump and I landed on one of the cheetahs backs. Me and the cheetah started fighting immediately.

Clawing and biting each other, and soon the other cheetah joined in and they were gaining the upper paw. Fear going through my brain. They're winning! What am I going to do?

Suddenly, I heard two shots coming from a gun and the cheetahs got off of me instantly and ran off. I was still lying on the ground, panting. The human must have scared them off. Finally, I slowly got up off the ground and onto all fours.

I turned and looked at the human, he looks young. And he's frowning at me. He took a step toward me. I didn't want to take any chances, so I crouched low to the ground, getting ready to pounce. You can never be too careful.

The human's face went wide. He stopped and he shouted, "Wait! It's me! Jade, it's me!"

My expression changed to shock. What? I can understand him? Who is he? I stood straight and I sat down on my butt. I was looking curious at him now.

He took a step toward me, "Jade? Is it really you?"

I cocked my head at him, "Who are you?"

The human took planted another step as he put a hand to his chest, "It's me, Casper. Remember?"

I looked into his eyes, "Casper?" Is that really him? Is it? It has to be him!

The human nodded.

Finally after another moment, I finally recognized him. When I did, my expression changed and I was beaming at him, "Casper!" It is him! It is! He came back!

Then I ran and jumped on him. When I was on top of him, I started licking him and licking him. Oh god, it even FEELS like him! I'm not dreaming of this!

I licked him until he laughed, "Alright, alright! Get off!" I stopped licking him and finally got off of him.

Casper got up on his feet and he smiled at me, "You really are here."

I smiled back at him, "I am here."

Then I wrapped my paws around him and hugged him. He hugged me back, holding me tight.

I still smiled while he held me, while I buried my head into his shoulder.

You came back Casper. After for a long time, you finally came back for me. You never forgot your promise.

You never did die just like my mother and my sister, and for that I'm grateful.

Oh god, I'm so happy.

Thank you, Casper. Thank you.
