#4 of Thymion Stories

Angel is showing signs of her heat cycle coming on strong, and her attitude shows it too. But now her family has business to attend too. They finally have a workable pattern to follow, and a means by which to find the stone fragment. With one piece of the puzzle in place, they can work toward getting the others as well. But there are still questions left to be answered, who is involved, where does the stone fit into this, and why is Angel suddenly so hormonal?

It took a week to compile the lists and data into something tangible. In that week, Sierra had adjusted better than Asteria could have predicted. It was not her first turning by any means, but it had been the smoothest. Sierra himself had come to be accustomed to the fact he would never walk in the light of a full moon again, though he was easily able to walk in the day. They were a different breed of vampire, because Asteria had been created through a ritual, rather than a normal turning. She passed on her powers and weaknesses with her gift. The vixen also passed on an insatiable thirst for the blood of the damned. While the blood of mortals and immortals like sustained her, her appetite was more made for drinking the blood of her own kind.

Sierra took that bit quite well, and in their first hunt together finished off no less than four himself. That meal alone would sustain him for weeks, keeping the cravings at bay. Asteria and he would need to actually eat normal food, and feed off others on occasion but with a decreased need to gorge themselves. Bojo managed to trace the energy of the stone fragment in the recent incidents, as well as an isolated energy of a more demonic nature. He was unable to place it in their codex, however he was confident it was a demon. However what startled him was the fact that the demon was not the one wielding the stone, but rather coming in to feed afterward. Either for opportunity sake or else instigating the incidents to make feeding easier, they were involved.

Lola managed to gather some random and fragmented security footage, showing two beings battling in the site of each incident. The best they could see in the blurry images was a smaller canine species of one sort, and a large equine of an unknown variety. The images were blurry and distorted from the sheer force of colliding energies in each battle. Fortunately for each there was little to no collateral damage. Broken building walls and shattered windows were seen as the work of well to do and professional thieves. As well, multiple items were usually missing from the areas. Witnesses were few and far between, and usually only at a block or more distance.

Billy had kept close to Angel, and most of the time it was in the bed with her. She was almost fully recovered now, and her attitude showed it. She was wearing her combat gear under her leather jacket at all times now, as well as keeping her energy just slightly elevated. It was not enough to tip off anyone to what she was, but it certainly made creatures that could sense her energy uneasy when they were within a block of her. Billy could also smell the change in her hormones. He figured she was coming into her cycle again, and that it was just making her randy and irritated. He would have to just keep her sated until it passed.

But Billy had no idea what was happening to the wolfess already....

~~~~~~~~~
Angel sat on her motorcycle, eating her third meal in less than five hours. She was literally just sitting in the taco place parking lot stuffing her face. The customers and employees watched her, some in amazement and others in disgust at the sheer volume and speed she was eating. She barely had time to chew her meal before swallowing. She was fortunate to have an increased metabolism, but also that her stomach was actually twice the size of a normal fur with a secondary chamber inside it. The primary where the food first entered her digestive tract was powerfully strong and ground everything up more than her chewing had. The second chamber was larger by more than three quarters more than the first, and filled with the powerful stomach acid that could break down even bones similar to the feral ancestors of all canines.
As she pushed the last one down her throat whole, she happened to glance over at the window and seeing the crowd she grew annoyed. Her paw shot up, extending her middle finger at them all. She swallowed hard, and then screamed at them to mind their own fucking business. Most turned away from the window, immediately turned off by her attitude but also not wanting to anger her because of how big she was. The wolfess crushed up the wrappers and paper sack, before throwing the ball to the trash can and ringing it. As she started the bike, she revved the engine a few times, before backing up. Then she gunned it, dumping the clutch and popping a wheelie in the parking lot. Leaving a thick tire track as she peeled out, she dropped the bike back on its front tire and headed back toward the hotel. She knew that place was off her list now, and figured she needed to at least locate a new taco shop.
While she was driving, she began to get that randy feeling in her spade again. She needed something in there, even a stick would do. She growled, weaving in and out of traffic as she drove. She hated this feeling, knowing her cycle was due any day and might have come early. She wanted it over with, and decided to just head home and grab one of the boys. Bojo always had stamina to spare, and Sierra was still breaking in his new body. He hadn't yet figured out what his limit was. And Billy was always the best in the sac because he was a freaking artillery cannon with a matching sized load.
She smiled as she felt that tingle tun up her spine thinking about her father like that. Most girls never had the relationship she had with her family. It was wrong on so many levels it was perfectly kinky. Then again, most families didn't hunt the damned and beyond mortal things that her family did. So a little adoptive parental incest was probably a very normal thing for them. As she pulled into the motel, she saw the husky mix standing outside the room. He was letting his bare chest catch some air, his fur was glistening from a dampness she figured was from a shower. He spotted her and waved, smiling down at her from the second floor. Angel waved back and stopped the bike in her parking space. Heading to the main office, she spotted the day shift crew sorting papers and getting ready to hand it all over to the night shift manager. As she was walking past them to the free coffee, they asked her how she was feeling.
They could all practically smell the hormones coming off her. Even one of the females was blushing at the scent, and the whole group were shifting in their seats. There was no possible way that the wolfess didn't know she was in heat. But none of them were going to voice a complaint as she made her cup of coffee. The wolfess was terrifying to them, as they had seen her pick up the back end of a car and push it around. She was far stronger than she looked and likely just as mean when she wasn't moving a car from her preferred parking spot. As she waved to them and left with her coffee, Angel let her mind drift to thoughts of her dad buried to the knot in her spade.
Sierra was coming out of the room as Angel came up the stairs and walked past him, and the scent hit his nose like a freight train. But he was not feeling the randy effect like most. It did not turn his nose in disgust, but rather intrigued him. A thought was forming in the back of his mind. A memory from a day long gone. He had once had a partner that was married, and he often listened the guy complain about hos his wife's pregnancy made her so insatiable that he couldn't get any sleep at night.
Nothing about Angel made much sense to begin with, but this was a bit of detail he found intriguing. She was so damned horny right now, she had outlasted not only Billy and Bojo, but put Sierra through his paces as a new vampire and practically ruined Lola for at least another two days. The vixen hadn't complained though, and seemed to really love the attention from her big sister. It was just more than Angel usually did when she was in cycle. Normally just a solid fucking once or twice a week was enough to sate her. This time, however, she was just impossible to satisfy. She even took two showers a day to handle the mess in her panties. Shaking his head, the German Shepherd walked off to go for a bite to eat himself.
As he was getting into the the van, he made a mental note to pick her up a couple pregnancy tests. It was a long shot, but it was possible for her to be pregnant outside of her cycle if the father was another canine. They knew from past doctor visits that she had at one point been pregnant with a child when she was married to her husband. She had been out of cycle, but had miscarried because of the stress after finding out Max had cancer. She was literally watching him die, and it killed her inside. Sierra wanted to make sure she knew this time, so that she could avoid undue stress. If she was, that was it. This was going to be her last mission until she gave birth. The shepherd drove to a local McDonald's, hitting the drive-thru to get his meal. He was hungry, but not as ravenous as Angel was. As a side thought, he got milkshakes for everyone. Then he headed to the local pharmacy. As he came inside, he could smell and see so many prey. He had to shake it off, knowing it was just his new instincts telling him to hunt them. After a moment, he walked to the service counter and asked where the tests were. The clerk smiled and motioned toward the aisle, and even gave him a suggestion about which ones were most accurate.
After Sierra picked up two boxes, he headed for check out. Paying for the purchase, he headed back out to the car and pulled away. The canine took time to drive slowly, so he could enjoy his burger while he headed back. The traffic was light, and the midday lunch rush was already over. He had all the time in the world. Arriving back at the motel, he pulled in and got out with the bag and the drink trays. Coming to the rooms, he knocked on each with his foot to let them know he was there. As everyone came to the central room, Sierra passed out the milkshakes and smiled at the happy faces. Asteria was always fond of dairy, and seeing her face light up like that made the German Shepherd smile brighter.
Angel just took the lid off hers and tilted the cup back. Wiping her mouth after two gulps she set the empty cup down and burped softly. Thanking Sierra, she kissed his cheek and headed back to the room she was sharing with Billy. Bojo watched her go, and whistled at how fast she drank the thing. He was more content to sit and sip his, making it last as he enjoyed the flavor. Lola was taking hers in slow but deep gulps. Billy sipped his through the straw slowly. He saw the pharmacy bag and the same thought that hit Sierra now dawned on him. She wasn't just randy from her heat, she might be pregnant. Taking the bag, he thanked the old dog for his efforts and the shake before heading back to the room. Coming inside he saw Angel peeling her panties off with a grunt. She had made a huge mess in her underwear just form the juices of her snatch alone. Billy tossed the bag on the bed and gave a soft woof. She turned, then looked down at the bag. One of the boxes had fallen out and she saw what it was. The thought had never dawned on her and she paused. If she was pregnant, there was no way a morning after pill would help. She was not going to have an abortion either.
Taking the box, she opened it and took one of the tests out. There were two per box, meaning she had plenty of tries if she spaced them out. Walking to the bathroom she sat on the toilet and did what she had to do. Setting the test on the counter to do its thing, she sighed and cleaned herself up. As she came back to the bed, she read the back of the box. The instructions stated that it could take up to an hour to fully register a proper result, and cautioned against reading it before at least a half an hour. She nodded and set the box back in the bag, before setting the whole thing aside. She was about to lay back and take a nap when the door burst open. Bojo was in a panic and his jumbled words were too incoherent to make out properly. Billy cupped a paw on his mouth and shushed him. Once the feline stopped trying to talk, he took a deep breath and started again.
"We found a better pattern. We know where the next attack will happen. It's not pinpoint, but it gets us within a couple blocks of it. Given the equipment in the van, we might be able to detect the stone before whatever is using it has a good chance to really get going. We could end it without much of a fight. But we have to hurry. The hunting cycle puts it at tonight and there is an forty minute drive between us and the location. Angel jumped up, and grabbed her jeans off the floor. As she stuffed her legs into them and pulled up, she flexed her wings. Forgetting her tank top, she just grabbed her jacket and sword. Tucking the blade up the sheath in the back of her jacket, she grabbed up her goggles this time and ran for the bike. Jumping over the railing on the second floor balcony, she landed by the bike and got her key into the ignition. Sierra and Asteria were already in the van. Lola was leaned on Billy's SUV, waiting on him.
Angel started the bike and revved the engine a few times. The bike was a loud one to begin with, but now that she was getting it hot, it really rumbled loudly. She shouted at Lola to give her the GPS in a text. Peeling her tires, she spun her bike around and hit the highway before anyone had a chance to tell her where to go. Lola hurried with her PDA to send Angel a message, knowing the wolfess was likely going to have her phone already in her jacket and be putting her ear buds in on the fly. She sent the message as Billy came jogging up to the location. But Billy didn't get in the SUV with Lola and Bojo. Instead, he told them to get back up to the room and start hitting up the local systems. He wanted the event suppressed as much as possible. Lola understood the need, and grabbed Bojo by the paw. Pulling him along, she hurried back up to the room for their gear. Billy came to the van and looked Asteria in her eyes.
"You keep our baby girl safe. If her pregnancy test comes back positive we will call you. Get her out of there while we hurry to catch up. If its negative, then we can just buy some condoms and help her out. There is nothing more important than our kids right now. You keep baby girl safe..." He said softly. Asteria nodded and leaned over, kissing Billy on the lips. She then put the Van in gear and backed it up. Moving to follow the directions, she figured Angel would get there long ahead of them and get a good spot for the van picked out. She had been right, as she turned down the road toward that particular area, she spotted warehouses, and Angel sent her a text with a building number. It indicated that there was a blind spot behind that building where no security cameras would see them enter or leave. Asteria pulled around and parked behind that building, moving with Sierra to the back where all the equipment was. The sun was almost fully set, and now they just had to get set up and wait. They had some homemade equipment, made by Bojo and Angel to detect stone fragments, demonic energy, and give them a fixed location. It was all based around detection charms, that would tilt and turn toward the source and give off a detectable radiation that was harmless to living things. They had figured out how to tune a computer to detect that radiation and use it to determine location by rotation and strength. The closer it was, the faster it turned and more radiation it gave off. With their equipment set, Sierra put on the headphones and then leaned back in his chair. Asteria reached over to the side where a small mini fridge was set up, and opened it. Pulling out a couple bottles of water, she passed one to him and they both began to watch the screens.
Asteria was looking at the screens when she saw the blip. A single source of energy that matched the stone. She picked up her radio and called to Angel. The wolfess stepped off her bike, leaving it parked by the van as she followed Asteria's directions silently to the location. She could already smell the horse, and the stone. As she rounded a corner, she gave a flap of her wings and shot into the air. Landing just to the side of the alley on a window ledge, she watched the horse turn and look back where she had been a moment ago. She spread her wings and drifted silently over his head before catching the wall and hanging from a ledge in the brick work. She watched him, sensing him out. He was mortal, but something was off about him. She could smell multiple scents coming off him.
Angel drifted back about forty feet and landed softly. Her bare foot paws slowly padded along, clicking her claws on the pavement. She could have charged him and taken him down, but she wanted to at least give him the chance to give her the stone freely. Most times, these things did escalate a little, but ended when her power demonstrated itself. She decided to go ahead and let some of it show, he eyes glowing green in the darkness. As she moved closer, she could smell him more clearly, and see as his eyes locked onto her.
~~~~~~~~~

Seth was walking down the alley, looking for what to do. He loved the fact he could just break into anywhere and take what he wanted with this rock in hand. It let him just dissolve walls and doors with a touch, and change even worthless gold plated things into solid gold. He was in the warehouse district tonight, thinking of stealing something bigger. He had figured out how the stone worked enough to know how to transport objects. He wanted something very nice now, and was hoping the sports cars had been delivered to the storage by now. The receiving dock was behind a tall fence and gate with guards. Guards that would not be going home tonight.

As he was preparing to have a go at the fence, he felt something. Something was making him uneasy. He looked around, knowing he was being watched, but from where. He couldn't see anyone. But that meant nothing, because whatever was watching him was just good at being out of sight. He called out softly, seeing if the demoness that gave him the stone was watching him. But there was no reply, and that made him even more agitated. Reaper had never, EVER refused to answer when she was spoken too. It might take her a half second but she always spoke. The anti-zebra could see no one, and now he was getting angry. He KNEW someone was there. Then a faint, randy scent crossed his nose. The scent of a snatch drooling in arousal and need, and his pants tightened instantly. He began to relax a bit as he figured it was just some homeless slut watching him from a dumpster. He took a moment to calm himself down.

That was when he heard it, the tapping of toe claws on the pavement. He turned slowly, looking at the being walking toward him in the dark. It looked like Reaper's outline, but it was taller and he could tell it was not as plump as she was. She would also have announced her presence. This thing had been stalking him. Maybe a rival of hers looking to pull him away from her and use him to beat her or something. Seth had no idea how the power chaste of demons and hell spawn worked. He really didn't care.

What he did care about was that when the wolfess stepped into the street lamp, he could see her eyes. They were glowing with a green energy he had never seen before. And as her wings stretched out to their full height, he realized he was at a disadvantage against her with those. But she was in a biker jacket, meaning the wings were limited in their movements. He gripped the stone in his hand tighter and moved his other into a fighting position. He had worked out a few tricks. One of which was to punch someone on int he gut with the hand holding the stone, and they would be blown apart like a wet pinata doll. There was nothing that could survive that, and he was confident that he could get the first strike if he let her come to him.

What he didn't expect was for her to stop and hold out her paw to him. She whispered that she just wanted the stone and he could leave, motioning him to just toss it to her. He smirked, and spit on the ground as he called her a whore. He was getting pissed. She knew about his trinket, and whatever place she came from had sent her to pick it up from him. But she was offering him a chance to leave, which meant she was probably from one of those higher realms where killing was a bad no no. She stood still and lowered her paw, warning him that she would take it by force if he didn't just give it to her and leave.

Seth charged her, using the stone to arch the pavement under his hooves and propel him forward. He expected to punch her in the face. What he didn't expect was her her paw to grip his wrist and flip him in air. She used his own motion to throw him into a wall. Seth felt the bones in his back give way and break. Gritting his teeth he concentrated hard, the electric energy of the rock arching up and down his body as it repaired the damage. Standing up, he was her tilt her head. She was intrigued, but little more. She obviously knew about the rock, so it was no surprise to her to see the effects first hand.

Seth stood up and stretched, cracking his back and giving a sigh. He flicked his mane behind his head again, and then motioned her to come to him. She took a step forward and the ground under her paws caved in. As she began to tumble, her wings shot out and buried the tips in the walls on either side of her. Suspended in the air like that she was left with limited mobility, but it was enough to stun Seth into confusion. He had not expected her to be able to do that. Most creatures with wings had fragile wing bones, but hers seemed to be made of metal. She flexed hard, flicking herself up into the air and launching at him. Seth instinctively converted the air in front of him into a substance as hard as diamond and as thick as a brick wall. Her fist impacted it with enough force that the ground under the barrier cracked. But the barrier held, and split second was all Seth needed. He reached through the barrier and grabbed her arm. He intended to blow the damn thing off her body.

But what happened next shocked them both. Seth's hand was knocked back by the force of the stone's energy, knocking him on his ass as she was sent flying and had to rake her claws on the walls beside her to stop from tumbling. Her arm tucked against her side now, smoke coming off it in wisps as she looked at it. He had scorched the fur off most of her arm. She looked at the reddened skin and growled. Her mane lifted off her face and began to dance around her as her wings lifted high. Seth could see the green tendrils of energy coming off her as her eyes glowed brightly. She was royally pissed. The ground and walls around her began to crack and be pushed out a slight bit by the force of whatever energy pressure she was putting out. Then he felt the heat rolling off her. She was literally generating physical heat as she stood there. Her tail bristled as it arched up and swayed. The thick bush was almost like spikes as she leaned down just enough to get a better pose. He could see into her jacket, and she was not wearing a shirt or bra. But he did see the holster danging about in the energy waves kicked up by her magic. The gun was as big as his forearm, and he knew if she reached for that he was fucked. At least for the moment she was too pissed to do more than make a threat display. At least that was the thought he had before she snarled louder and barked at him. She kicked off before he could get off the ground, and he did the only thing he could. He put up that barrier again, this time thicker and more angled. Her blow struck it and slid, sending her flying past him as she slammed her feet into ground and dug her claws into the pavement to stop. She left huge gash marks in the asphalt, panting softly as she flexed again. Seth got on his hooves and put his hands around the stone tightly.

Asteria heard her phone chime and pulled it up. Reading over the message she set her phone down, then snatched her phone up screaming as Sierra to call Angel back right then and there. The canine fumbled for the radio and finally grabbed it up. He yelled into it for Angel to immediately disengage, but received no reply back. Asteria grabbed it and screamed at the wolfess to stop fighting right then and there but again, there was no reply. Just the distant sound of impacts and the soft vibration of the tremors they caused. Asteria dropped her phone as she jumped out of the van and ran to the corner of the warehouse, screaming into the mic, hoping it was just an interference issue from being in the van. She was yelling at Angel to back off because the wofless was pregnant.

Angel came flying at Seth and he swung both his arms up and down as hard as he could. He hit her in the face with a full force impact. But again, the force pushed them apart as the stone reacted. Seth tumbled and hit his shoulder on the pavement, Sliding into the main road as he put the barrier back up. There was no traffic at least, which bought him a few precious seconds to get up and get out of the way where anyone might see him. Angel had taken the hit hard, not expecting him to fight like that. He was a brawler, and she was used to weapon play. Her body actually bounced after it the ground, cracking the pavement under her and knocking the air from her lungs. But her temper had the better of her and her wings flapped hard. The massive appendages pushed against the air and shot her forward. She slammed both fists into his barrier, pummeling it with everything she had. Her blows were hard, forcing the shield to start pushing back against the ground and Seth's concentration. However, she could only push it so far before the stone arched and covered Seth in a red crystal like armor. Even as she hit that armor, the bones in her paw broke with a loud crunch.

Jumping back, she gripped the paw, and pulled it straight out until it crunched and the bones realigned. Seth almost gagged, as he watched her energy concentrate on her paw for a moment. Then he noticed the thick fur on her arm was already restored. What the hell was she?! Nothing, not even the stone could heal something that fast! Even as he watched, the bones in her paw cracked and reset themselves. Whatever powers she had, they trumped his little trinket. Then the sound of a massive engine reached them both as the high powered beams of light from it's runner bar lit them up. The SUV screeched to a halt fifteen feet from them and Bojo jumped off the top. His little paws slapped together before he swung them open and spun like a top. Fire erupted form his paws and literally scorched the ground between the two. Then the lithe feline landed in those flames. Seth got a good look at the little guy, and about gawked his eyes out of his head. The kitty had a stone too, but the one hanging from his neck was easily the size of a soft ball. The feline held out a paw, pulling the very melted pavement up to his paw with just force of will and it formed a long metal pole on it's own. No blade nor ornaments rested on it, it was just a bow staff.

He came at Seth then, and Seth was put on the defensive again. But the barrier was no good as the pole seemed to phase right through it. Seth managed to swing a couple punches, but Bojo was so fast and small that he was able to duck under them. Then the feline threw a punch of his own. Seth was not really hurt by the impact of the blow. But it scared the shit out of him as the feline's fist shattered that red crystal armor like it were glass. Seth staggered back, as the feline was all over him. His blows rained on Seth's face like a machine gun, impacting repeatedly and making the equine pissed off as he fucking could possibly be. He grabbed Bojo by the tail and turned hard. He had the cat by the tail now and used that to his advantage. He slammed the little guy into the ground repeatedly, rag-dolling him around as he began to spin and then sent him flying up into the air. Bojo yelled in surprise as he was sent skyward with some speed. That was when Lola came running out of the SUV and screamed at Angel she was pregnant! Though it was barely audible over the combat, Seth had heard it and something inside him struggled to the surface. He found his connection to the stone starting to slip and he had to end the battle now.

Seth jumped, a strength in his legs born of rage and power from the stone coursing through his body as he slammed his knee into Bojo far above the ground. Then he spun over and brought his hoof down on Bojo's face, sending the feline toward the ground as the equine began to fall as well. Seth turned and positioned himself to land, he wasn't watching Bojo as the feline turned and landed as well. Seth landed and got a face full of feline claws as Bojo launched on him again. Seth went to move and found his body resisting him. Something was making it hard for him to move, something inside him. And he knew what it was. That was when the claws found his left eye. Seth panicked, and in his panic he thought of only one thing. He transported himself as far from that rabid son of a bitch as he could think of. Bojo swung and missed, staggering and almost falling over.

He was panting lightly, looking around trying to find his target. All he saw was Angel standing in the flames he created. She was staring at him like he was completely insane. She held out a paw, pulling the flames into herself and effectively putting them out. Billy was walking toward her, slowly and looking dead at her. She was annoyed and reached into her jacket, pulling out her pack of smokes and lighting one with the click of her claws. Looking up at the big guy she asked what his problem was. She was in the middle of telling him she had a handle on the horse when he pulled her into a tight hug suddenly. She dropped the cigarette out of shock as she looked up at him.

Lola came up, holding the pregnancy test in her paws. Angel couldn't see it until Billy let her go. Lola held it out to Angel, and the wolfess took it in her paws. As she looked at it, her fingers began to tremble. She knew what that positive symbol meant. Her words stuttered as she tried to ask how and what, but she couldn't form the words. Terror filled her eyes as her voice cracked and she realized she might have just killed what little life was inside her. It made no sense to her though. Her heat had just started, how could she be pregnant already. She reached for her ear piece, but realized it was missing. It must have fallen out when she was fighting. she patted her ears, jacket and then began looking around.

"That would explain why you didn't pull back when Asteria started screaming for you over the radio," Bojo said softly. "We called as we were racing over, Asteria said you weren't talking and they could hear the impacts of your fighting from three blocks away. So instead of meeting up with her and Sierra, we came this way. Asteria said they had detected a stone fragment and you had gone to confront the user. But judging from the area, I figure they didn't want to give it up easily. Guess we have to fix this huh sis?" the feline finished as he looked at her.

Angel was still shaking softly, her paws cupped over her muzzle as she tried to come to grips with what happened. Lola's radio beeped and Asteria said they had lost the signal form the stone, so it must have moved a fair distance off. As Billy guided Angel to the SUV, Bojo headed toward the alley where the fight began. He was planning to fix the damage done by alchemy, but he figured that since he was the only other one that knew how to ride a motorcycle he would needed to head to the van and pick up Angel's bike after that. Billy said he was going to go and get Angel back to the motel immediately. The drive back was in silence for the wolfess. She was too stunned to talk at the moment. Lola began explaining to her that she likely became pregnant during her last cycle the month before, and that the reason she was so horny all the time was the chemical imbalances in her body. Billy looked in the mirror at the pair as Lola tried to rationalize it for the older woman, but Angel was lost in her own world again. She was looking for a way to rationalize her situation.

"Baby girl... I'm the father. I got you pregnant sweetie," Billy said softly. Angel looked up at him in the mirror. Her eyes relaxed after a moment, and she nodded slowly. She began to relax now, as Lola explained she was going to start helping Angel get ready to be a mother. She would find all the articles about anything that was relevant, she would help Angel pick out the right food and be as stress free as possible. But in the back of the vixen's mind, she also knew that Angel would be totally defenseless. The stress of just watching her husband die from cancer killed her baby last time. This time, she would be unable to call up her powers or fight. She was the strongest one among them, and now she was rendered as useful as a rubber knife in a gunfight. Lola needed to find something that would help them all out. She needed to be stronger, strong enough to match Angel. But she had no idea how. She had no real magical knowledge and even as a vampire she would be more knowledge based than combat oriented. She was in need of power the likes of which would shake city blocks like Angel could when she was really angry.

~~~~~~~~~~
Seth sat in the abandoned garage a few blocks from the hideout he liked to use. He was looking at the stone as he used its power to heal his eye. He was breathing slowly, churning his anger as he ground his teeth together. That blasted other part of himself had managed to break his hold on the stone for a few seconds. It had been enough that he could have died if he had not managed to get a tight hold on it again. He took a deep breath, and looked into the reflective glass. It was mirrored so people could not see what was inside the shop when the lights were off. Sled was there, and he was looking back at Seth with a very pissed off look. Neither said a word to the other, but they were both pissed as hell with the other.
Seth needed a break, but that meant letting the piss bucket taking back over their shared body. They needed a way to separate, but the stone was no where near powerful enough for that...was it? The feline had done things Seth never thought possible, creating fire from nothing, turning rock into steel, and then actually passing through his defenses. He obviously had more practice and a larger stone, but Seth figured there was more to it than that. There was something that damned demon wolfess had not told him. The feline didn't heal himself after what Seth did to him. He just didn't take the damage at all. He had no need to heal, and that meant he was able to do things Seth could not. Next time he saw that wolf slut, he was going to grab her by the neck and hold her down until she gave him the secrets of the stone, and why his piece was so fucking small. Maybe there were other fragments out there as well, and other fragments mean that he could gather them and make himself into a god. If he were a god, he could kill Sled without any consequences, he could live forever and do anything he ever wanted, any way he wanted to do it. No one would stand up to him.
But... until the he had to figure out what else the stone could do, and he needed that wolfess to talk to him to figure it out. He had no patience for trial and error, and he lacked faith enough in his own ability to survive some of the more gruesome errors he could think of. He did not want his guts outside his body or for there to be permanent scars on his gorgeous form. So he would just have to beat the answers out of that bitch. He figured she would come see him soon enough. She no doubt sensed what happened and would come demand an explanation. He just had to be patient and wait on her, after all she was as predictable as anyone else.
