Chapter 5 - A visit to the capital

Game World

After Johns confrontation in the shop the rest of the week ended without any incident. Even at school nothing out of the ordinary happened. In Furries World John made great progress with the help of Mike. At the end of the week John had enough money to buy a small piece of land at the edge of Pirtatonis. He ordered some worker to build a small hut on the land. It would take a few days until the work was completed. John also began his first painting experiments and became better at forging an amour.

On Friday during lunch Mike had invited John to go with him to the capital city Lyatakipikt on Saturday because Mike had some work to do in the city. For John it would be his first time visiting the city. At 1.00 pm John and Mike met at the city hall of Pirtatonis. "So Mike how do we get to Lyatakipikt?" asked John and Mike answered: " We take the teleporter who is in the city hall. That is the reason that we meet at the city hall. " "OK ,let's go." So they entered the city hall and walked to the teleporter. There they paid the fee for the teleportation to the capital city. The teleporter was a great portal made out of a dark stone. After John walked through the portal he was in an other room and felt a little bit dizzy but after a few seconds it was over. Mike explained after John asked that this was normal for the first teleportation. John and Mike left the building with the portal and reached the main street of the city.

As far as John could look he only saw people walking on the street. The street was lined with buildings, who had at least three floors. In the distance John could the a big castle. "That is the castle of the republic. After the expulsionof the last king the council took the castle and hold his meeting in it. That is what he heard when I was walking in the city. I know how interested you are in history even when it is the history in a game. Come on let's go." said Mike. So they both walked through the city. After nearly thirty minutes they reached a building, which stood near a small park. It was a building with three floors and it was build out of bricks. Mike knocked on the door and after a short time it was open and a rat opened the door. The rat invited Mike and John to come inside. The rat had orange and red fur. He was as tall as John. The rat wore a black robe.

After a small walk through the building. The tree entered a room, who was decorated with all kind of artefacts. As far as John knew they were all from different eras of the land. The rat said after a moment: "SoStalikanasus this is your friend Bloodclaw. My name is Cramdasides. Stalikanasus told me much about your adventure in this world and your encounter with the white knights. " "Nice to meet you." "So we meet again." said a voice behind John. When he turned around he saw it was the shopkeeper of Demonsin Dante. "Bloodclaw so you met Dante before. You didn't told me of the meeting." "Stalikanasus, I met him at the beginning of the week." "He saved me from the white knights when they wanted the potion from my shop."said Dante and Cramdasides said: "Bloodclaw. Dante, Stalikanasus and me are member of the Demonic Alliance." "What?, Stalikanasus why didn't you tell me about it. " "I ordered him not do to, even if you are friends we couldn't know were your loyalty would be. You could have joined the white knights and they are your enemy and we don't want that they get informations about our plans. So will you join use in the fight for a better future." "No." Why Bloodclaw." "Because I don't like to be deceiveand to be used by others." "OK if that is your last word. We have to accept it. Maybe you could do use a small favour. There is a small headquarter of the white knight in one of the city districts and we want to know what they are planning in this base for the city. If you do that for use, I give you a few coins and a potion to make you stronger." said Cramdasides to John. "I will do it because during my walk through the city a heard a rumours that the white knight hold prisoners in this headquarter. "

After Cramdasides explained the way to the headquarter of the white knights. It took John and Mike nearly one hour to reach the district in which the white knights were living. It was one of the poorest districts of the town. Most of the buildings looked like they could collapse every minute. There were not much people on the street and they wore clothes with patches, who made more of the clothes than the original material. During his walk through the district John could see out of his eyes around some corners knight with white amours, who were watching John and Mike.

When John and Mike walked in a side street three white knights entered the street on the opposite side and after a few minutes three more behind John and Mike. All of the knight drew there weapons and began there attack. The street was relative broad, so that it was possible for two of the knights to attack at the same time. John fought against the knight who appeared behind them. It was a hard fight. Because the third knight used magic to attack John from the distance. So John was not only was forced to fight against the two knight he had to evade the spells of the third knight. Who had put his sword back to cast the spells.

After around ten minutes John kicked one of the knight against a wall and could kill the knight. Suddenly John felt a hit against his back, when he turned around he could block another attack in the last minutes. Out of the corner of his eyes John could see that the third knight began to cast a new spell. To defend himself John grabbed the knight and threw the knight in the direction of the third knight. This knight couldn't stop the spell so the fire ball hit the knight John had threw and killed him. The third knight was shocked, this used John for his attack. Before the knight could drew his sword again to defend himself John hit him on the chest and penetrate the amour. The k night felt dead to the ground. John turned around to help Mike. But John only saw how Mike killed the last knight.

After they treated there wound the continued there search for the white knight headquarter. It took them another 20 minutes before they had found it. It was a tall building with four floor on the roof was the flag of the white knights. A white flag, which to crossed sword and in the background were six red stars. The building was guarded by five knights. To not fight again and not to cause a stir John and Mike looked at the backside of the building. There was another small door who was only guarded by one knight. John and Mike knocked him out and entered the building with the key the knight kept.

Through the door John and Mike entered the kitchen of the building. They walked through the kitchen and entered a floor. From the floor above John and Mike heard voices. So they first explored the rest of the ground floor, but they found nothing with value. Because the building had no basement they were forced to go to the next floor. After they walked around a corner they could see two guard on the stairs to the next floor. The first target for John and Mike was to kill the two guards. So John and Mike charged at the knight and killed them before they could reacted. After that they walked up the stairs and began to search around the floor but like the floor below they found nothing. So they took the stairs to the third floor.

On this floor they found more guards. The first two guard were near the stairs and saw John and Mike and began there attack. The knight also cried for help. The next minutes John and Mike fought the knights during the fight the backup arrived and entered the fight. After a long and hard fight John and Mike could defeated the knight. Because no more knights arrived John and Mike looked around the floor but there were again no prisoners or plans of the white knights. Before they walked to stairs the treated there wounds.

When John and Mike reached the last floor they were greeted with four new knights. Who attacked John and Mike before they could reacted. The knight forced them to the floor below, but John and Mike could defeated the knight and return to the fourth floor. Most of the rooms were empty. The last room on the floor had a big door who was decorated with all kind of symbols. John opened the door and behind it John could see four persons who were bound on stakes. In the room John also could see two knight. One knight was the cheetah John fought in the alley to save Emyltus. The other knight had is helm closed so John couldn't see his face. " So we meet again me little pup." said the cheetah with a smile."You must be Kalpision." "It is Mistress Kalpision. So you to came to my base to kill my man and free this scum. " "I came her to stop you and your man from taking over this city and terrorize and kill innocent civilian. " "No civilian is innocent when they are not a member of the knight of the white cosmos. They all have to die for the new world we want. That is enough of the word. So let's decide it with a battle. If you win I will leave the city with my men and will not return, but if I win you will join us and kill your friend. " OK, deal." You can't do that Bloodclaw. What if you lose you will lose everything you fighting for. " So I only have to win against her." "So can we begin I don't have the howl day. " "OK, let's begin." With this both drew there sword and the fight began.

Kalpision began her attack with a direct strike hat Johns head. He could evade only in the last minutes. After that John began his own attack. But she was to fast and could block every attack or evade it. After a few minutes John was pushed against the wall. Out of Despair he charged at Kalpision and so she was forced to take a step back to evade the attack. John used his chance to attack again this time she couldn't evade all of Johns attacks and so John could hit her sword arm and forced her to let her weapon fall.

With a fast move she picked her sword with the other hand and continued the fight. Now John was forced to take some hits. The fight continued so for the next minutes. No one could get the upper hand. But John was not so fit as Kalpision so he was breathing harder and became slower with every minutes. So his defeat was only a question of the time. "So Bloodclaw want you continue the fight or will you give up and join the white knights." "No, never." The only chance John saw to win this fight was do drink the potion he got from Dante. Even if it's kill him it's mean he doesn't lose to Kalpision and was forced to join the white knight and kill his friend. Because this would be like a suicide and not the lose in a fight. When John took the potion out of his pocket, Kalpision was shocked. "What? You have the potion my men couldn't get the other day. They never told me that you wee involved in there failure." John smiled before he drank the potion.
