My first day Furmastan high past like a breeze and in no time i was already taking the bus home, my hands gripping tightly against the metal poles that lined the side of it. All the seats were taken by the seniors who were yelling in the back. I didn't really have any friends here yet so just kept to my self. I didn't really care though as I admit, the black wolf Taro that i met this mornig was all i could think about. I bit my lip. It was still the first day and i had already managed to get a crush on a wolf that was one and a half years my senior. This wasn't meant to happen- i was meant to settle into the school; chasing a senior jock wolf wouldn't be my idea - or my mum's for that matter- of settling in.
I walked over to the door just as the bus screeched to a stop just few house away from my home. I put my bag back onto my shoulder as i began striding down the path to my place, finishing off a muffin that i didn't finish at lunchtime, savouring the chocolate chips that covered the top. I was so caught up in my mind that i didn't see the car coming at one hundred kilometres per hour straight for me as i crossed the road right in front of my house. I turned my head and gasped, the shock enabling me to see the drivers look of fear on his face as he slammed his paw onto the brake. He was going to quickly too stop and he swerved, hitting the tree out side me house with a loud crash.
I stayed rooted on the spot for a minute or so, staring at the car that had wrapped it self around the sturdy looking tree. I then cursed my self for not doing anything and ran towards the car, yanked my phone out my pocket and called the ambulance, calmy telling the paramedic the situation. I hung up after a minute or so of talking and went to what was left of the drivers side of the door. Glass and blood was everywhere and i almost gagged at the state that the driver was in. The medics told me not to touch anything but i disobyed, my instincts screaming at me to help the inured driver. I managed to pull open the drivers door and get my arm around the young wolf that was sitting there. His upper body flopped onto me, covering my school uniform in blood from numerous cuts that covered the furs body. I grunted and began pulling the coughing and groaning wolf from the wreckage. I was doing really well until i realised that his feet were trapped in the car. I swore, this was going to make things a whole lot harder. I was still full of adrenaline that had pumped through me as the crashed. I stumbled to the other side of the tree and began pushing the hood of the car away from the tree but with no avail. I tried once more with the same result and i was going to give up and let the paramedics do it when they came here. But then i saw; for the injured wolfs face once more properly, this time, registering who it was.
Taro
Angrily, i pushed once more, super human strength flooding through my veins. There was a loud thud and a crack as i pushed my body to the limits, knocking the car away from the tree. Pain lanced up my back as i tore my crush from the vehicle, lying him down on the lawn; utterly and totally wasted i dropped to the floor next to him. I closed my eyes, as a sudden wave of tiredness rolled over me like a wave, putting me into the deep embrace of sleep.
