Shadow's Tale Part: 3 Howls in the Night ________________________________________________________________________

sob, sob "Damn, you must think I'm pathetic. But what I saw that night...I will never forget...or forgive."

Shadow sat on a branch in a tall tree outside the village of kitsune. He sat with his knees tucked towards his chest an his arms wrapped around his legs. He felt awful of what he had done the night before.

He had yiffed someone that was once his best friend. He didn't even know how it happened. He was laying there looked up and he saw how cute and shy Kite was. He didn't know what came over him.

Shadow relaxed a little looking down at the village knowing no one could see him up there. He was so high up everyone in the village looked like ants. He outstretched his legs and breathed a deep sigh. Oh Shadow, what have you gotten yourself into?

"Hey Shadow!" came a loud voice almost knocked Shadow off his branch. After he calmed down, he looked down and all he could see was a dot near the tree trunk. He wasn't able to tell by looks who it was but by the voice he thought it was Luna.

Does she know I'm up here? How she cant see me?

"Shadow if you don't come down I'm coming up!"

Well that settles it. She knows I'm up here. But how?

"You brought this on yourself!" she yelled up and charged for the trunk. Her foot connected with the trunk and she seemed to scale the tree like it was nothing. In ten seconds she was sitting in front of Shadow.

"What the... It took me a few minutes to get up here. How did you do that? And how did you know I was up here?" Shadow asked confused.

Luna giggled to herself. "Oh you silly wolf. You really don't remember anything do you?"

"No I don't. Why does everyone keep reminding me?"

"I'm guessing that's rhetorical? Any way. You have forgotten the strong point of our village."

Shadow ears pricked interested. What was the strong point of their village he wondered.

"Each kitsune in our bloodline has a unique ability, special to them. For example I can sense when others use their powers. I can also see anything at any distance. And I can read peoples feelings."

"So using your sight you found me?"

"Yes." Luna smiled. She could tell he was remembering.

"Wait, why were you looking for me? Shouldn't you be mad I yiffed your mate?"

Luna just looked at him and sighed. "Kite's power is he can lure anyone into a false sense of security and take control of them. You were vulnerable. And he felt it was his fault. He made you feel secure but not false security. He used all he had to make you feel better, but there is something about you he forgot."

"What do you mean 'something about me?'" Shadow asked interested.

"You can negate mental powers and use them against the original creator. Withier you know your doing it or not. That's why I'm not mad. You made him feel same and protected without knowing what you were doing." Luna looked at Shadow and smiled lightly.

Shadow was confused. Why would he have a power like this. Who gave it to him. Shadow was pulled out of his thoughts seeing Luna inching closer.

"Of course that doesn't mean I'm not jealous." Luna looked into Shadow's eyes. She was blushing heavily under her fur. "I mean if he could have that much fun I wanted to try to." She looked down trying to hide how much she was blushing.

"Luna, no, I cant." Shadow looked down blushing just as much as Luna.

"I told you Shadow." She looked up, no longer blushing. "You cant hide your feelings from me. I know you want to fuck me."

Dammit. She really can see through me. Shadow blushed, he did but didn't want this fox. He kept remembering Lou every time he got lost in her eyes, but her eyes...the were mesmerizing. And her movements were so fluid like water he couldn't look away.

"Please Shadow." She whined moving in between his legs and placed her paws on his strong, broad chest. "For an old friend?"

"N-No. I can't." Shadow said a little disappointed.

"What do you mean you can't? No one will know?" She said moving her paws down Shadow's chest to his stomach.

"I will know, and I would tell Lou. And I can't do that to her." Shadow said a little more calm.

"Shadow, this is happening one way or another." Luna said frustrated. Luna loosened up a little and Shadow saw his opening.

Shadow swung his right leg over Luna's head and pushed off the branch and landed on a branch a little lower.

Luna stood up clearly angry now. "What's wrong with you? You'll fuck my mate but you won't fuck me?"

"It's different now." Shadow said not looking at her.

"No it's not!" Luna yelled angry.

"Yes it is!" Shadow yelled back. "I was weak and vulnerable last night! I can think clearly now and I won't!" Shadow clench his fists.

"No, I know you still..." Luna searched Shadow's thoughts but found no glimmer of him wanting her now. "W-What? How can this be? It was there a second ago? Please Shadow."

"NO!" Shadow yelled. Luna felt a small shockwave hit her dead on. She lost her footing and almost fell.

"What was that?" She locked at Shadow and gasped.

Shadow had a dark aura forming around him. As time went by the aura turned to a dark flame lapping around his body. Dark red markings started to form on Shadow's back. Starting on his shoulder blades and spiraling around their origin.

Luna starred at him, frightened of what was happening to Shadow. "Sha-Shadow?"

At the sound of her voice the flames around him grew larger and more violent. The red markings speed increased also. After three circles they moved down each arm creating different patterns as they went. When they reach his wrist the red lines broke in two, one moving to his palm and the other creating a red orb on the opposite side. On his palm they spiraled again and again after three laps they broke and moved to the tips of each digit.

Luna continued starring in fear. "W-What are you?!" She yelled.

Shadow's marking stopped. He turned slowly. Luna gasped at what she saw. His eyes. The whites of his eyes had turned the dark blood red of the markings. And his irises had turned the same black as his pupils.

Luna couldn't take it, she jumped down the tree, going from branch to branch trying her hardest to get away.

Shadow waited.

When she reached the ground he took a step forward and just fell. Luna ran back to the village it was far away. "Damn it looked so close up there." She said to her self.

Luna tripped when she felt what she thought was an earthquake. She struggled to get up, but she sprained her ankle. "Shit, perfect." She said trying to disguise how scared she was.

She looked up to see a crater at the base of the tree with Shadow standing in it. He stood there like the fall was nothing.

He looked at the injured fox with evil and hatred in his eyes. He smiled evilly revealing how sharp his teeth had gotten. He walked slowly toward Luna.

Luna's eyes widened. She know what he was going to do. He was to pure to rape her she thought, but in this form there was no guarantee, so he was going to kill her was Luna's next thought. She tried to crawl away, but got nowhere fast.

When she fell on her stomach, to tired to move, a shadow covered her. She flipped over and saw Shadow's silhouette watching her. She was motionless in fear.

Luna suddenly yelled out. The flames surrounding Shadow had started to burn Luna's legs. Luna cried out, it was pain she had never felt before. Tears ran down her face as she throw her head back in pain.

Shadow reached down and picked up the fox by the neck with one paw.

"Sh-Shadow. P-Please...Don't...Do it." Luna was barley able to squeeze out her last request. Shadow's grip tightened. He just laughed.

Shadow raised the other paw and looked at his claws, they had become incredible sharp. He placed one on her stomach to test them. He went form left to right and swiped across her stomach. Easily cutting through her shirt and stomach.

Luna screamed out again. This time the pain was worse. For once the cut was made the flames started to crawl inside her stomach. She cried again.

"N-No."

Shadow looked at the fox, confused that she spoke.

"I won't die here." Luna mumbled. She then throw one of her legs into Shadow's stomach.

Surprised, he stumbled back and dropped Luna. She landed on her side. Panting hard and coughing. Shadow was angry now he walked up to Luna. She looked up at him scared once more.

He kicked her in the stomach sending her ten feet back. She coughed up blood and stopped moving. Shadow still had hate and murder in his eyes. He walked over to her. The flames that followed him killed all the grass that they touched.

Shadow reached the fox and looked at her closely. He saw a light rise and fall of her chest. He raised a paw. And swung down at Luna.

Shadow suddenly flow back thirty feet. Before he landed he did a back flip and landed on his feet, skidding back another five feet. He looked up enraged to see a silver fox with eight tails standing in front of Luna.

"Ra-Rakil? H-How?" Luna said quietly.

"I heard your screams. And I'm not letting anyone die from this demon."

"Demon?" Luna's eyes widened

Rakil never looked at Luna. "He is not the same Shadow we knew growing up."

Shadow growled loudly.

"Oh shut up." Rakil said angrily. His fur changed from the silver it was to a dark brown. "I guess I should tell you what happened. As you know we all have special powers. As leader of the Kitsune my power is to protect. So I can change my fur in to a material that is unbreakable. Just happens to change my fur silver too."

Shadow stood up straight. He toke a deep breath. "I see this will be fun." A voice unfamiliar to all of them rang out from Shadow's muzzle. It was a dark voice it was full of evil and suffering.

"Hmm, I knew it, you just stole his body for yourself." Rakil said with a smile.

"Stole it? Oh no, Shadow offered his body to me." The voice came again.

"Offered? What do you mean? he wouldn't do that."

"They is much you don't know about Shadow. He let rage build up inside him. He didn't try to stop me from waking up and coming to the surface. So as long as I'm here, why don't we have some fun." The voice was defiantly coming from Shadow even though he had no control.

"I won't fight you." Rakil answered sternly.

"Really? That's no fun. But I can test this body." Shadow vanished and appeared under Rakil. He looked up with a demonic smile. He hit Rakil in the jaw with an uppercut before he could change.

Rakil flew in the air stunned. He opened his eyes to see Shadow hovering above him, getting ready to deliver another fierce attack. He had no time to change again and was hit dead center of his chest. He coughed up a little blood then flew back to the ground.

Shadow was under Rakil before he hit the ground and put a fist in the air. Rakil fell hard on it cracking his spine loudly, Luna only semi-awake still flinched at the sound. Shadow threw his body on the ground.

"Good, now lets finish it." Shadow raised his paw covered in Luna's blood form her wound. He put his claws to the foxes neck. His body then tensed up. "What?"

"Get out of my head." Shadow said quietly.

"How can you stop me?"

"Get...out...of...my...BODY!" Shadow clenched his fists and yelled.

"N-No how is this possible?" The voice grew quieter.

The flames around him dissipated, the markings faded, and his eyes returned to normal. Shadow swayed lightly then fell to the ground, passed out.

Shadow dreamed again, similar to the one he had before. He stood this time in the light looking at the darkness. The same form started to take shape in the darkness but this time it wasn't a feral wolf instead it was an anthro wolf. The wolf stood there, eyes closed, not breathing.

"Who are you?" Shadow asked.

There was no response. The wolf still stood there motionless.

"Who are you!?" Shadow yelled.

A red glow started to emit from the wolf. The darkness started to grow towards Shadow. The wolf walked forward slowly. Red marks started to form on the wolfs chest. More also came around the wolfs hips and curled up his stomach.

Once the two wolves were face to face Shadow notice the darkness was all around him and the only light was where he stood.

"Is it not clear who I am?" The wolf finally said.

"No. Now tell me who you are." Shadow said frustrated.

The wolf slowly opened his eyes. The irises were pitch black and around was dark red. "I'm you." The wolf reached out offering a paw to Shadow.

"N-No you are not me." Shadow was shocked.

"Accept it. You are not who you think you are." The said in a calming voice.

"Then who am I!" Shadow yelled.

The wolf toke back his paw. "You are not ready for the power I offer." The wolf disappeared into the darkness, and the light returned.

"WAIT, COME BACK. WHO AM I? WHAT POWER?" Shadow yelled as loud as he could. "COME BACK!"

Shadow opened his eyes slowly. He had a throbbing headache. Damn, what exactly happened last night? Shadow remembered changing and not having control over himself. He saw everything that was happening and felt awful for what he did to Luna and Rakil. Damn I need to make it up them. Shadow looked around to see he was chained to a huge tree.

"Hmm, now they don't trust me. Good job Shadow." Shadow rested his head on his arm. "Well I guess I have to wait for someone to come and get me." Shadow placed his head against the trunk and looked up. It was night now. He saw the full moon. Wonder if I'll see any ferals. Before he could think anything else Shadow heard a howl of intense suffering erupt from behind him. Shadow jumped up and ran to the other side of the tree. He couldn't see anything but he could hear the awful sound.

"It happens every full moon." Shadow's head snapped up to see Rakil standing on a branch tossing something in the air.

"Rakil. Let me go. I need to see what is happening." Shadow said fiercely.

"I will, but you have to take these." Rakil throw down a set of brass knuckles. He jumped down after and unlocked the chains. "These are special Shadow. I know you know what happened yesterday. These can give you and advantage if things get bad but not as strong as yesterday."

Shadow threw his arms around the slightly taller fox. "I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself."

"Why do you care so much do you remember me?"

"I do, a little. When Kite was telling me about your youth some things came back." Shadow was crying a little.

Rakil put an arm around Shadow. "It's ok. You have changed. Just be careful."

Shadow let go. "I will, Thank you for Rudra."

"Hey you remembered their name."

"Hmm I guess so. Ok I have to go" Shadow vanished right in front of Rakil.

Shadow was using his power Shadow Step. It is one of the main source for his speed. Shadow quickly opens a rift in between two dimensions and steps into the other. He can then move at a much higher speed but only for a short time. Damn, I need more practice. I feel myself burning energy. Shadow stepped out to where he thought he heard the howl come from.

He was surrounded by trees. The wind blow lightly. Shadow looked around, but saw nothing. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Shadow yelled out, but there was no response.

There was a faint light coming from behind some trees. That's north? The sun rises in the west. Shadow walked slowly into the trees. As he walked closer to the light, he noticed that as he went forward the trunks of trees facing the light got more and more burnt. What the hell happened here?

Shadow came to another clearing where the ground was glowing a dark red. Hmm. I wonder what's under there. Shadow walked to the center of the clearing and looked down at the brass knuckles. They seemed pretty basic. Why would Rakil give me something so plain as these? Shadow put the thoughts behind him and slipped them on each paw.

"Well might as well test them out." He said to himself. He put one of his hind paws behind him and raised his left arm. He slammed it into the ground. The ground crumbled easily under his fist. The whole area around him fell apart around and under him. Surprised Shadow fell down about three feet and landed on something hard.

Shadow opened his eyes to see he landed on a set of stairs. He stood up and rubbed his back "Hell of a way to make an entrance." Shadow looked at the bottom of the stairs to see the same red glow coming from it.

Shadow toke a deep breath and walked down the steps. Shadow's heart pounded in his chest he had no idea what he would find down here. If this was the source of the howl in pain, he wasn't sure he wanted to find anything.

He reached the bottom. The walls were covered in pipes and all had a red tint to them. Like they had been stained with gallons of blood. Shadow walked forward slowly. The low hanging ceiling dripped water with the same red tint as the walls. I really hope this IS water.

The hall toke a left turn. When Shadow reached the corner he heard talking and stopped. He backed up against the corner to try to hear and see who was talking. Shadow leaned over slightly. He saw a lion in a black coat, and a smaller cat wearing the same black coat. Both were carrying rifles. Well, that's not fair in the slightest. They need more guards.

Another pain filled scream came. Shadow could tell now the howl came from a female. "Damn I hate this part of the job." The cat said

"Yeah well its only once a month, the rest is easy." the lion spoke quietly.

Well these two won't be useful. Shadow had infiltrated many forts before with Negan and Flame under Gin's orders. This was essentially the same. He waited for the guards to turn their back, then he ran forward silently. Before he reached them, he jumped and slammed the sides of his paws into the back of both their necks. Shadow caught both of them before they hit the ground and dragged them into the dark hall. It would be easier to kill them but I don't like to unless I need to.

He looked toward where they were standing. It was a catwalk around a large room. Shadow looked down to see cages and cells filled with different creatures. He jumped down the catwalk onto the ground below.

Shadow quickly pressed into a corner away from any prying eyes. He waited and poked his head out. But only saw the creatures in the cages and a door on the other side of the catwalk. He figured he was alone. He moved out of the shadows and looked at the cages.

All the animals were anthro wolves. Some were crying. Many were beaten and bruised. Others looked like they were on the brink of death.

"Sh-Shadow?" A voice came quietly.

Shadow looked to his right to see a male wolf sitting in the corner of a cage. "What did you say?"

"I know that voice anywhere, It really is you." The wolf stood up and walked toward the bars of the cage. The wolf had black fur like Shadow's but he had a large scar running down his chest and across his right eye. He smiled lightly.

"Do you know me?" Shadow asked. The other wolfs smile faded.

"So you lost you memory? Well my name is Angi."

"What happened to you? Those scars look bad. And how do you know me?"

Angi sighed deeply. "Shadow I'm...your father." A tear started to appear in his eye. "We all thought you were dead."

"F-Father?" Shadow started to cry as well. "This is all my fault. I wasn't here."

"No its not. Many have tried...and died."

At that Shadow stopped crying. "How many have died here?"

Angi looked down. "Seventeen of us."

Shadow's eyes opened wide. He grabbed the bars and began to pull them apart, but they didn't move.

"Son, that won't work we have tried." Shadow didn't respond. Just continued to pull. "Shadow stop this..."

"NO! IM GETTING YOU ALL OUT OF HERE!" Shadow began to pull harder. Angi took a step a back. Even he had never seen his son like this. He looked into Shadow's eyes, and saw a change they were no longer the innocent eyes he remembered. They were full of determination and looked completely numb to anything.

Shadow started to change again. The dark aura started to form around his feet and move up his body. He closed his eyes, still struggling to move the bars. When he opened them they were the blood red they had been the night before.

His aura exploded and he ripped the door off the cage, and threw it into the wall.

"Sh-Shadow?" Angi asked terrified.

"Wait for the others." Shadow's voice came cold and hollow. "Ill get them out." Shadow walked to the next cage and simply pulled the door off and threw it with the other. He did that to another eight cages. The scared wolves ran up a staircase in the middle of the room and out the hall way Shadow came in.

"Shadow are you coming?" Angi said alone at the top of the stairs.

"Take them south, I'm sure Rakil will be happy to see you." Shadow said still cold and hollow.

"Shadow I know what your thinking and you wont like what you find if you go through that door." Angi said trying to persuade his son.

"I don't care what I find. Who is responsible for all of this?"

Angi sighed. "A blue lion, name Asagai. We don't know why he did all of this."

The aura around Shadow grew stronger and he jumped up to the catwalk in front of the door. "And he's through here?"

"Probably. Shadow please. Once you go through there is no coming back."

Shadow glared at his father with his demonic eyes. "I don't care." Shadow hit the metal door hard and it fell to the floor. "Ill meet up with you later."

"Ok. Good luck." Angi ran the way his friends went.

Shadow walked through the door into a room that looked like an operating room. There was one table covered with blood and blood soaked towels and a door into another room. Shadow walked passed a mirror and looked at his reflection seeing the evil in his eyes he gasped, and it all faded away in an instant. Like it was just a bad dream. He put it in the back of his mind and walked forward.

He pushed through another set of doors into a room nicer than the previous one. There was no operation table, no blood and no signs of life. To the left was a bed with no sheets on it and one pillow. Above the bed there was a large chain connected to the wall leading into the left corner.

Shadow heard sobbing and looked to the left corner. He saw a white ball curled up in the corner. "Hello?" he asked.

"No...No...Your not real...Go away." The voice was female and quivering in fear.

"I am real. I'm here to help you." Shadow walked over kneeled next to her. "Are you ok? Was the screaming I heard you?"

She squirmed and turned to face Shadow. "No...It was..." Shadow recognized the face now. He remembered the picture and memories started to come back.

"Krystal!" Shadow said surprised. He also noticed she was completely naked. "What happened to you?"

"Shadow..." She was crying now. "I-I thought you were dead."

"Krystal!" He put his paws on her shoulders. "What happened to you?"

"Shadow...they raped me...everyday..." She whined falling into his chest.

I was thought to be dead for a year. Shadow was shocked. He knew this was his fault. But he could have done nothing. Shadow stood up and walked to the other side of the room and found a coat left by a guard he thought, he tossed it to Krystal.

"Put that on." He walked back to her and looked to see where the chain was connected. It was on a collar on her neck. He grabbed one side, squeezed and it shattered.

Krystal stood up and put the coat on. It was big for her so it covered down to her knees. "Shadow...Thank you."

"DON'T THANK ME! WHAT HAPPENED IS MY FAULT!" Shadow yelled. He pointed to the door he came through. "Go through there and on the other side of the room is a hall way out of here. Angi and the others are heading south to Rakil's village."

"Shadow I'm not leaving you." Krystal walked over to him. "You always try to do everything by yourself. WHY DON'T YOU LET ANYONE IN!"

Shadow was taken aback by how forceful she was, but he just smiled. "If you want to stay, fine. Just stay behind me."

Krystal's gaze dropped and she remembered what happened. "Don't worry." She said quietly.

Shadow moved toward another set of doors across from the first set. "Shadow...you don't want to go in there."

"Why?" Shadow asked still moving.

"I-I have seen what they did to them in there...and tonight...they toke your mother." Krystal's voice grew quiet and Shadow stopped just before the door.

"Wh-what?" Shadow still couldn't remember his mother, but the thought of what they did was unbearable. He toke the handle of the door.

"SHADOW NO!" Krystal's yell was in vain, he ripped the door out of the wall and threw it aside.

What he saw was horrifying. On another operating table lay a gray female wolf. She was missing a leg. Her chest cavity was completely removed. He walked slowly over to the tortured creature. As he got closer the damage became more and more obvious. She was covered with cuts, some shallow, others he could see to the bone. When he reached to table he looked into her chest. She was missing a lung.

"M-mother?" Shadow said. His eyes were wide open and streaming tears. Shadow noticed a slow beat of her heart. His stomach couldn't take it and he threw up to the side.

"Shadow?" A low voice came.

Shadow slowly looked at his mother's face. She had a large scar going other where her left eye should be. "Shadow is that you?"

"Yes mother its me. I'm here now." Shadow said looking into her face.

"So it is you? I always felt you were alive. Its nice to see you one last time." She closed her eye and drifted away. Her heartbeat stopped completely.

"Mother? Mother?! MOTHER!" Shadow cried out. "NO COME BACK. PLEASE."

"Shadow...she is gone...I'm sorry." Krystal approached Shadow and placed a paw on his shoulder. He just shrugged it off.

Shadow walked off to the right near another door.

Krystal looked down at the abused animal. "I'm sorry Lenith." Krystal looked over at Shadow. "We should go.

"Not until Asagai pays for what he did." Shadow said harshly.

"Shadow...please."

"NO!" The dark aura started to form again. "He...must...die..." The markings formed quicker this time. More appeared moving from over his shoulders down in-between the sides of the swirls and fanned out over his lower back. His chest was left unmarked, but they moved up the back of his neck and under his chin. They moved up over his eyes meeting in the center of his forehead make what looked like an upside down 'V'.

"Shadow?" Krystal said. She walked over to him. She moved to put her arms around his waist, but the aura, now flames, stopped her.

"Please don't try to touch me." Shadow said coldly. He moved toward a single door slowly.

"Please Shadow...don't do this." Krystal begged.

Shadow was surprised, but didn't show it. "I have to." He raise his right fist and stepped back. He threw a powerful punch at the door sending it flying into a wide short hallway with two guards watching a opening in the wall.

"Hey you stop!" One guard shouted and raised his rifle at Shadow.

Shadow moved so quick without even using Shadow Step. He was next to the guard in an instant with an open paw he slammed it into the guards jaw, snapping his neck. The other guard opened fire on Shadow. Every bullet that flew at him disintegrated in the dark flames.

Shadow again vanished, and reappeared behind the guard. He smashed his elbow into the back of the guards neck, killing him instantly.

"Shadow...stop this." Krystal was stunned by how merciless Shadow was.

Shadow simply ignored her and headed for the opening in the wall. It lead to a large room, there was columns lined up in the center leading to a alter in the center of the room. Over the alter stood a blue lion wearing black paints and a gray coat. He turned slowly to look at Shadow. "So...you have finally awakened?" His voice was full of life like he was a child playing a game.

Shadow glared at the lion. "Are you Asagai?" He asked bluntly.

"Why...yes...I am." The lion said mocking Shadow. "What are you going to do about it?" Asagai said smiling.

Shadow charged toward him creating a large shockwave form where he was standing. As he approached the alter. He vanished and appeared behind Asagai and in the air. He had his leg ready to smash into the lion's head, but as he attacked. The lion also vanished.

Shadow's eyes opened wide in surprise. "To slow wolf." Shadow wiped around in mid air to see Asagai spin and hit him in the side of the face with the back of his fist. Shadow was sent flying to the left and crashed into the wall. Creating a large crater around him.

He fell to the ground and landed on his hands and knees, panting hard. "It...Takes...more then that to kill me." He said defiantly.

"Well if you survived our first encounter I'd say so." Asagai appeared in front of Shadow and grabbed him by his neck. He lifted his so they were face to face. "But this time I'm not holding back." He whispered into Shadow's ear.

He tossed Shadow in the air a little then did a back flip hitting him in the stomach and sending him flying into one of the columns around the alter. Shadow landed on his back. His power started to fade, the markings melting back to nothing, the flames grew weaker and weaker.

"Oh come on. I'm not even warmed up and your regressing? So you didn't awaken?" Asagai said still mocking Shadow.

"SHADOW!" Krystal appeared at the opening and moved toward Shadow, but was stopped by Asagai.

"Ah, so the slut was let off her chain. So you have a connection to him if I remember." Asagai grabbed one of her wrists. "Why don't we have a little more fun?"

"Get... your...hands...off...her." Shadow stood behind Asagai. Completely normal, and bleeding. A large gash was on his right arm and another over his left eye.

"So your not dead? Well your more power full then I thought." Asagai charged Shadow. He was ready to deliver a devastating blow, When Shadow disappeared. "What? How is he faster then me?"

"Asagai." Shadow was standing in front of Krystal. "If you ever lay another hand on her...I'll kill you. I may not know what you mean by awakened, but I don't care I'll kill you one way or another. What you did to my family is...unforgivable." An evil tone hid in his voice. And a dark look was in his eyes.

Asagai smiled. "So you saw my handy work. I'll admit it was a little extreme, but necessary."

"NECESSARY?! YOU TORE APART MY MOTHER! AND OTHERS! WHAT YOU DID IS BEYOND EVIL! YOU DON'T DESERVE MERCY! AND YOU WONT RECEIVE ANY!" Shadow shouted feeling new power forming in him. His body tensed up, and he felt a burning in his arm and his head. He looked where he had the gash. It was smoking and healing rapidly. So was the one above his eye.

"W-what? He hasn't awakened but he has Rapid Healing?" Asagai said to himself quietly. "I think I need to wake up Rehonden."

Shadow's power continued to grow at an unexpected rate. His fur started to stand on end. "Come to me..." Shadow mumbled to himself. "Come to me..."

"N-no. He is unstable, if he summons his beast. We all will die." Asagai stumbled back and fell to the ground. The whole room started to shake and the columns started to collapse.

"Come...to...me..." Shadow clenched his fist. He clenched them so hard the brass knuckles Rakil gave him shattered.

"Shadow stop what your doing." Krystal cried falling to the ground. "Please Shadow."

"Damn I can't let this go on anymore." Asagai stood up and closed his eyes. The room darkened. Krystal started to fade away. The room fell into complete darkness. Shadow and Asagai the only ones illuminated. "Shadow stop this. You cant control him. If you let him out you will die."

"As long as you go with me...I don't care." Shadow's gaze was cold. And his voice hollow. Shadow raised his head to the sky and yelled. "COME TO ME...SINOS!" A burst of energy came from Shadow's body. A wolf's howl was heard in the distance.

"Well I have no choice now..." Asagai closed his eyes and toke a deep breathe. "REHONDEN...I CALL TO YOU." The same energy came from Asagai's body. A lion's roar was also heard in the distance.

A form started to appear behind both of them. The shapes grew bigger and bigger. Then they started to take shape. They started as no more then smoke, but behind Shadow a large feral wolf was forming. And behind Asagai a equally large feral lion was taking shape.

When they were in full form the wolf looked menacing. Blood red eyes and the same dark aura that sometimes surrounded Shadow around its massive paws. Its fur was as black as Shadow's. The lion was blue like Asagai and had a aura like the wolf's but a pale blue instead of black.

"Shadow, we don't have to do this." There was a slight quiver in Asagai's voice.

Shadow laughed. "Your afraid. I heard you say I was uncontrollable. And we would all die.'

Asagai toke a step back. "I'm not afraid of you! Rehonden! Attack him!" Asagai pointed at Shadow as he spoke, but the lion didn't move. "Rehonden."

The lion spoke in a low, formal voice. "I will not attack a beast like him."

"WHAT!" Asagai yelled.

"He has no control over his power. He will be unstoppable." The lion said his eyes locked with the massive wolf's.

"DO YOU THINK HE WILL HAVE THE SAME COURTESY? IF YOU DON'T FIGHT WE HAVE NO CHANCE OF LIVING." Asagai was infuriated.

"And that's what he wants...but...I must protect you." The lion raised his head and toke a deep breath. He let out a extremely loud roar. Shadow fell to the ground covering his ears.

The massive wolf jumped in between the shockwave of the roar and Shadow.

"You are pathetic Rehonden...Attacking a possessor directly. And I thought you were the honorable one." The wolf spat. He was angered at the dirty attack.

"Come now Sinos...do you think that wolf can control you? Why do you protect him?" The lion accused. The wolf looked back to see Shadow on the ground his ears bleeding and he was drifting into unconsciousness. The wolf closed his eyes and faded away.

"Well... we should go." Asagai said.

"You want to leave him living? I could kill him in an instant." Rehonden spoke quickly.

"You have planted a seed of deceit in Sinos's mind. He will be no threat to my plan." Asagai said calmly.

"Fine." Rehonden faded away and the room started to lighten. Krystal reappeared next to Shadow's body on the ground also unconscious. Asagai turned back to the alter and walked toward it. He waved his paw over it and he and the alter vanished.

Shadow and Krystal lay there. No one to help them. They were alone.
