The Elemental Portals Bk 2 Ch 2
"Magic had already begun to fade from Earth when I took up residence in Camelot, but by staying close to the portal that connected it to Lyonesse I was able to pull off a few tricks that kept young Arthur in business. That thing with the sword in the stone for instance ..."

Book II – Medioterrae
Chapter II – Time Keeps Dragon On
Constance “Coyotka” Jotkowsaka had been calculating how risky her unprotected sex with the grey fox had been when he raised his arm and pointed out the dragon that was hanging by one leg from a tree twenty paces away. She had been so focused on seducing the former assassin that she had not noticed the bright blue reptile, but then again, neither had Chris.
Her eyes went wide, and her skin turned a deep shade of red under her fur as she remembered what they had been doing in clear line of sight from where the dragon was hanging.
She leaned in toward Chris. “Do you think it’s alive?” She whispered.
“Hard to tell at this distance. It appears to be breathing.”
“Do you think it saw us?”
“I don’t know, but if it has been hanging upside down for any length of time it’s probably unconscious.
“Maybe we should just back away?” She suggested.
“No, you shouldn’t”
The reply had come from the direction of the hanging dragon.
Coyotka was surprised. “It can hear us?”
“Yes, I can.”
Chris and Coyotka approached the tree tentatively.
“Good day.” The dragon greeted them when they stopped just out of arm’s reach. “I must say, that was an interesting performance.”
Coyotka’s blush deepened. “Oh, you, uh, saw that … did you?”
“Hard to miss when you’re just hanging around twenty paces away.”
Chris had been studying the rope around the dragon’s ankle. “That is not a snare. Someone hung you up and left you to die here.”
“That they did.”
Coyotka turned her scholar’s eye on the dragon.
It was roughly the same size as an adult Terran, or Human, for that matter. It was a bright electric blue with lighter blue stripes on its belly. Its tail was long and tapered, with dorsal and anal flight control fins at the tip that were shaped like a beech leaf. It had two long whiskers, one on each side of its snout, silver-blue hair and dark blue eyes. It was hard to gauge how big its folded wings were, but they did not look large enough for sustained flight.
She squinted and scratched her chin. “Hmmm, could be a young Medioterrae dragon or an adult Elysian wyrm, hmmmm”.
Chris gave her the kind of look the village idiot usually gets and turned back to the dragon. “Do you know which world we are on?”
“Yes. Why? Is this some kind of mental competence test?”
“Just answer the question if you want our help.”
“Medioterrae?”
“Is that a guess or an answer?”
“An answer. We are definitely on Medioterrae.”
“Excuse us a moment.” Coyotka pulled Chis aside. “What do mean by ‘help’? You’re not thinking of cutting him down are you?”
“I can still hear you.”
“Shut up!” She turned back to the fox. “Seriously though, do you know what dragons are capable of?”
“If it can’t get out of a simple ankle noose, I’m guessing ... not much?”
“Not true, not true. Dragons on Medioterrae can grow to tremendous proportions. They can cover continents in their search for food and destroy entire towns with their fiery breath”
Chis glanced back to the hanging dragon. “Seriously?”
“Well, this one is obviously immature ...”
“Hey!”
“... physically immature. But he is far from helpless.”
“Perhaps it would help if I introduced myself and explained my current predicament?”
“Dragons are notorious liars.”
“Who says?”
Coyotka was caught off guard. “Uhm ... experts?”
“What kind of experts?”
“Dragon experts on Cognitionis.”
“But no-one who has actually met an actual dragon?”
“Uhm ... actually ... no.” Coyotka had to drop her head. The archives at the university were woefully short on first person dragon narratives.
“Then allow me to continue.” The dragon said, spreading its arms in a reverse bow. “My name is Darryl, to be exact. As you mentioned, I am young, barely out of adolescence. I don’t know if you know, but dragons here on Medioterrae have three life stages. Infancy, where one spends most of their time on all fours while their legs and wings develop, adolescence, when one achieves rudimentary flight and becomes sexually active, and maturity, when one acquires full size, full flight and shape shifting abilities.”
“Dragons can shape shift?” Chris asked.
“On Medioterrae, yes.” Coyotka answered, drawing on her knowledge of off-world lore. “Mature dragons here typically have three forms: Full dragon, Half Dragon and Humanoid. If this specimen has just turned into a young adult as he claims he is probably just about a hundred years old. He will be stuck in this anthropomorphic half-dragon form until he matures at about age two-fifty or so.”
“The canine with the strange nose ornament is correct.”
Chris leaned in to Coyotka. “Can it breathe fire?” he whispered.
Darryl looked offended, which was hard to do when one was upside-down. “No, I can’t.” He answered for the coyote. “Not yet anyway.”
“Dragons have incredible hearing,” Coyotka noted “even though they lack external ears. Their sense of smell can become equally impressive, although that doesn’t develop until later in life.”
“Again, she is correct.” Darryl conceded. “At this age we rely on our keen sight, our acute hearing and our sensitive whiskers.” He stroked one of his long black whip-like appendages.
“Okay.” Chris conceded. “So, why were you hung up here and left to die?”
Rage filled the young dragon’s face. “We were robbed by brigands of the lowest sort.”
“We?”
“I was travelling with my beloved Tenille. The Brigands took her along with all our food and worldly possessions … all my treasure.” A tear formed in the corner of the dragon’s eye and dripped to the dry ground below him. “It was not much, but I would have given it all to them freely if they would have left Tenille alone. I must get her back before they … before …” But the dragon could not go on.
After a few silent sobs he wiped his tears and shook his head to clear it. Then he glared up at the two Terrans with angry blue eyes.
“If you free me, I will help you any way I can. If you help me find Tenille I will be your servant for life.”
“Your life or our life?” Chriss asked, curious.
Coyotka jabbed him with an elbow. “Shut up.” She scratched her chin. “We could use a guide.”
“I thought you said that you had memorized all of the Wanderer’s handbook and knew where every portal was?”
Coyotka stood up, looked down at Chris though her glasses and pointed to the sky for emphasis. “I know where they all are by description. I can recall every word I’ve ever read!” Then she deflated and embarrassment replaced her haughtiness. “Maps, on the other hand ….”
Chris threw up his arms. “Great, you know where we have to go but not how to get there.”
Darryl raised a claw, which ended up pointing at the ground since he was still swinging from a rope by one ankle.
“I know all the realms and most of the roads connecting them. It is what we dragons do while we’re growing into adulthood … familiarize ourselves with the land, learn where the best treasure is kept, etcetera. And if we do enter unfamiliar territory I can fly well enough to scout out the route ahead.” He clasped his hands in front of his face, cocked his head and gave the two furry creatures his biggest eyes.
“What do you say, m’lord and lady? Give a poor dragon a chance?”
Chris pulled his longest knife. “I should put it out of its misery.”
Darryl’s eyes and mouth went wide, but Coyotka put her hand up to stop Chris.
“No, he’s right. Medioterraens take debts seriously, along the lines of your life pledge to James. He will owe us for freeing him and if we can help him find this Tenille in the process he will owe us even more. I say we free him and bring him back to the camp.”
“Paul may view things differently.”
“He has come to trust you, or so I gather.”
Chris looked up and implored the Maker, but, as usual, the Maker gave no sign of his intent.
“Alright. I’ll cut him down.” Then he addressed the dragon as he stretched to cut the rope bound tightly around its ankle. “But I’ll be behind you with my knife drawn all the way.”
“As you wish. I’ll give you no trouble.”
Indeed, the dragon did not give them any trouble. After rubbing life back into his numb ankle he followed Coyotka meekly back to the camp while Chris brought up the rear, ready to strike at the slightest suspicious movement.
The rest of the troop were already gathered around a campfire, cooking the fish that Paul had caught while Junafir dressed some wild fowl they had come across for the next day’s meal. They all looked up curiously as Chris marched the dragon up to the edge of the circle.
“What’s this?” Paul asked, as he slid his sword onto his lap.
“A young dragon.” Coyotka explained. “We found him when we were … mushroom hunting.”
Darryl snickered, drawing a glare from Coyotka and a puzzled look from Paul.
“Sorry. I thought you said, ‘mushroom hiding’.”
Chris would have buried his dagger hilt deep in the dragon’s back right then, but Paul caught his attention by saying, “Why don’t you explain what happened, Cinereo.”
Chris did, summarizing the exchange to omit their activities before spotting the dragon but covering all the pertinent points. He concluded with, “I don’t know if we can trust him,” then he reluctantly added, “but Coyotka thinks we can. She says that he will be a useful guide.”
Paul questioned Coyotka about how sure she was about her knowledge of dragons before asking the others what they thought.
James gripped Junafir’s hand tightly. “If it was me and Junafir was the one taken I would make and keep any bargain I needed to get her back.”
“I agree.” Junafir said nodding. “Anyone who loves someone that much can be trusted.”
Annie was a little more skeptical, but the imploring look from the blue-on-blue reptile won her over. Gael had one question though.
“Would you die for your Tenille?”
Darryl drew himself back, looked Gael straight in the eye and said, “Yes, I would.”
Gael shrugged. “I’m okay with him.”
Paul was not quite convinced. “What do dragons eat?” He asked, and held up a hand to stop Coyotka from answering for the reptile.
If Darryl was surprised by the question he did not show it.
“Oh, all sorts of things. Wild chickens like the ones you are preparing.” His forked tongue travelled across his lips as he gazed at the plucked carcasses. “Fish, small game …”
“Like rabbits?” Junafir said, glaring out from under furrowed brows as she tested the edge of her mother’s clever.
“Uh, not necessarily. In fact, I’ve recently decided to drop them from my diet … for, uh, health reasons.”
“Not Humans of Terrans?” Paul asked in a quiet but serious voice.
“No, gods no!” Darryl looked shocked. “Look, I know about the rumours. Maybe some dragons on other worlds like to snack on people, but dragons on Medioterrae simply do not eat intelligent beings. Especially at my age.” He ran his hands down his slim flanks. “If I ate even one of you I would be too fat to fly.”
Paul laughed. “Okay. You can join us. And if we can help reunite you with Tenille we certainly will, but we have urgent business to attend to and we might not be able to tread the same path as you.”
Paul went on to explain their mission to find a series of portals to get Annie back to earth.
“Fair enough.” Darryl replied. “Your freeing me has already been an immense help. May I?” he indicated a free stump near the fire. Paul nodded consent.
Darryl sat and Chris and Coyotka did likewise. Annie passed them all plates of freshly roasted fish. Darryl dug into his eagerly.
“This is good.” He said, then stole a glance towards Chris. “But it would be better with mushrooms.”
“Don’t press your luck, serpent.” Chris said through clenched teeth.
Darryl flicked his forked tongue but refrained form further comments while he ate.
When he and most of the others were done be fastidiously cleaned his claws and whiskers while glancing back and forth between Junafir and Annie.
Annie, who had been studying him with an artist’s eye, was the first to notice.
“Why are you staring at us?” She asked, indicating herself and the tigress.
The two females could not be less alike. Junafir the busty, sensuous tigress who wore nothing more than a loose cloth on a string to keep the burrs and brambles from tangling in her pubic fur and Annie, the muscular human in leather armour that hid her feminine features but not her scars, especially the bald half of her head where the hair had been permanently burned away. Yet the dragon seemed to be paying them equal attention.
“I was wondering if either of you was a maiden.” Darryl answered matter-of-factly. He indicated Coyotka. “I know she isn’t.”
Coyotka’s blush was barely visible under her fur, but Annie’s confusion was on full display.
“Maidens? You mean female?”
“Oh no. The fact that you are female is evident, even in a warrior such as yourself. But are you a maiden?”
Annie looked to the others, confused.
Coyotka cleared her throat. “Uhm, there is one aspect of dragon lore I may have failed to mention. Young dragons of Medioterrae who are just entering the sexually active phase tend to focus on …”
“Maidens.” Darryl finished for her.
“By which he means … virgins. They are kind of fixated on them at this age.”
“Yes, that’s the word.” Darryl agreed by nodding his head vigorously. “Are either of you virgins? Because if you are, I would woo you.”
“Virgins?” Junafir declared as she stood up and bared her claws. “We’ve agreed to help you find the love of your life and you just want to fuck virgins?”
Darryl looked perplexed. “Well, yes, she is the love of my life, but it is not the same thing.”
“You asshole.” Annie said as she leapt across the fire and pinned Darryl down with the pointy end of her spear. “Your dragon girlfriend is hardly out of sight and you are already on the prowl for fresh tail?”
“What are you talking about?” Darryl almost screamed. “Tenille isn’t a dragon, or a friendly girl. She’s my pet Parasprite and my only friend in the world.”
Annie drew back with her face screwed up in puzzlement.
“She’s your what now?”

Sevade and Nahal had to travel far down river before they were able to get around the lava field and work their way back to pick up the refugees’ trail. The fox had no idea what to look for beyond the obvious, but Nahal claimed to have a little experience in tracking small game near her mountain village. Sevade let her take the lead when they were close to where the portal had been before the lava filled the valley.
At one point she knelt down and began prying something from the edge of the solidified lava.
“What have you found?”
“Some kind of case. It looks like Terran handiwork.” She held it out to Sevade.
“Oh, my Maker!” He snatched it eagerly from her hand. “Wart had this on him when we were on our way to Doug’s-ur-Mark.” He snapped it open. “This is half of a miniature portal set. It was how we communicated with the client, Rory Douglas.”
“So, we could use it to talk with him now?”
“Presumably.” Sevade peered though it but there was only darkness on the other side. He held it to his lips. “Hello?” He called loudly. “Lord Douglas?”
After a few moments light came though the miniature portal and he heard Rory’s voice. “Jimmy? Is that you boy? I have not heard from you for days. Did you miss me?” It was speaking in a smooth sensuous tone that Sevade was unfamiliar with.
“Uh, no … sir. It is Sevade of the sev- …”
“Sevade, you have the portal!” came the elated cry. “That must mean that you have completed your mission!”
Sevade swallowed hard and began to sweat, even though the day was cool.
“You did complete your mission?” Rory’s tone had lost any trace of joy.
“Uh, no ... not actually … but we are close on their heels.”
After several minutes of swearing and threats against his person, his family and any descendants he might have despite being castrated with a rusty spoon Sevade was able to tell the other fox what had happened.
When he finished Rory was not pleased, but not as angry as he had been. “So, you are on another world, you have no idea which one, and the target has several days lead on you.”
“Yes, sire. But in all the confusion during the eruption I don’t think that they know where they are either.”
“Bad luck that volcano erupting just as you were closing in on them.”
“Yes.” Sevade agreed. “Nothing we could have done about that.”
Nahal held up a finger. “The red-haired one summed it.”
“What? What was that?”
“Nothing.” Sevade said, making a ‘keep quiet’ gesture with his free hand at Nahal. “The human girl was just saying that your nephew was almost consumed by it.”
He put his hand over Nahal’s mouth before she could continue. “We have found their trail.” He lied. “They will undoubtedly seek a portal that will move them toward the Target’s world, and now that we can communicate you can help direct us to the most likely one once we discover which world we are on.”
“Good thinking Sevade. I have business to attend to. Report in regularly.”
“Yes, Sire.” Sevade snapped the portal case shut and turned to Nahal. “What was all that nonsense?”
The Afghani woman furrowed her brow, dropped her chin and held her hands palm up as if the situation was too obvious to require explanation. “Did you not see that the lava only burst forth when the red-haired one raised his sword? And then it followed him! He is like Odqan, the red shaman from Mongolia who controls fire. He is said to ride a brown goat. Was there not a brown goat with them when they passed through the portal?”
“That was a coyote.”
“A devil dog, close enough.”
He shook his head and implored the Maker silently for strength.
“Do you know which way they went?”
She pointed to where the sun was setting. “Sure. That way, but they will try to hide their tracks, like the snow leopard when it knows you are hunting it.”
“Can you still track them if they do?”
“No, but we won’t need to.”
Oh? How so?”
“My father always said that rats always run to their nest.”
“Eh?”
“They will seek a safe haven and help. For strangers in a strange land that means finding people you can buy or bribe.”
“A city!”
“Yes. And cities grow in the valleys where the great rivers flow slowly. We just need to go in the same direction they started in and make our way down from the highlands.”
Sevade smiled. “You do have your uses. I can see that you will be an asset to my new guild of modern assassins. Stick with me and you will go places.”
Nahal was testing the edge of her dagger inside her cloak where Sevade could not see it. “Oh, yes, you’re going places, Master.” The particular place she had in mind was very similar to the lava field they had recently escaped from.

“Quiet!” Junafir screamed over the babble of raised voices, just like her mother had done when her temper was at the breaking point. “Let me see if I understand this.”
She turned to face the dragon, Darryl. “Parasprites are a kind of insect that eats voraciously and procreates asexually in great numbers, and you have one for a pet.”
“Yes, but you don’t have to worry about the procreation bit. I am a responsible Parasprite owner and I had her spayed before she could cough up her first offspring.”
“Good for you.” Junafir said dryly.
“I seem to remember parasprites being featured on a cartoon show that was popular on Earth a few years back.” James injected
Annie squealed with delight. “Oh - My - God! You were a Brony?”
James’s face turned as red and his hair. “No! I just ... happened to catch a few episodes while waiting for something else to come on.”
“What’s a Brony?” Gael asked.
“A guy who likes ponies.” Annie answered.
“I like ponies.”
“A certain kind of pony.”
“Well, everyone has their type, but I thought you said that James was obsessed with foxes and tigers?”
Annie caught Junafir’s cross glare. “I’ll explain later. You finish what you were asking Junafir.”
“Thank you.” The tigress swung on Coyotka. “And according to you, young male dragons are obsessed with virgins.”
“Maidens.” Darryl interrupted.
“Whatever.”
Coyotka adjusted her glasses, a trait they the others had already come to recognize as a prelude to a lecture.
“Dragons, like humans, experience sexual awakening long before sexual or physical maturity. Also, much like humans, the older males tend to compete for the young females, the maidens, because the pheromones the un-bred females emit are one of the few things that still excite them.”
“Pedophiles.” Annie spat.
“Not in their culture, dear. But as I was saying, since the mature male dragons can be up to forty feet long in their reptile form the young males like Darryl here cannot compete for females with them. They are forced to sate their sexual desires outside of their own species. I’m sure that you have heard legends about dragons carrying off maidens from your world.”
“They usually end up getting slayed by white knights and the maidens rescued.”
Darryl rolled his eyes. “Phfft! As if. You know what they say, ‘Once you’ve had dragon, the rest are all saggin’.”
“I’ve never heard anyone say that.”
“Obviously your world needs to be visited more often by dragonkind.”
“Wouldn’t the older female dragons be doing the same thing as the males?” James interrupted, remembering the scant plot lines of many of the MILF pornos he had watched while entering his own ‘sexual awakening’. “Seeking out the young males I mean?”
“Females can only breed in their reptile forms, although they can store the sperm of desirable mates from the time when they first start to attract males until they are ready to procreate. Also, when they are fully mature their, uh, ‘parts’ … are considerably larger than the young males, and breeding with them is, therefore, unfulfilling.”
“Right.” Junafir summed up. “Horny old males, sexy young maidens, old females with loose cunts and young males with tiny dicks.”
“Well, ‘tiny’ is relative.” Darryl protested. “I mean, you’re comparing a forty-foot dragoness with a quim big enough to stick that collie in …” his voice dropped an octave “… to a young, fit, delectable little tigress such as yourself.” He waggled his blue eyebrows and twirled one whisker in what he assumed was a seductive manner.
Junafir gripped James’s hand. “I’m not a maiden, and I’m taken.”
Darryl looked at Annie with hope in his eyes.
“Too late.” She said, sliding up against Gael. “I lost my maidenhood recently.”
Darryl slumped for a second but straightened up quickly.
“Oh well. All for the best I suppose. No distractions. I have to focus on my quest to rescue Tenille, after all. But first, a promise is a promise.” He turned to face Paul, who he discerned to be the leader of the band. “Where would you like me to take you?”
Paul was lost in the thought of what it would feel like being stuffed inside a dragoness’s vagina. He shook his head to clear it.
“Wha- …? Oh, yes.” He looked to the coyote from the university back on Terra. “Constance … Coyotka, where can we find a portal that will get us back on track for Earth just after James and Annie left?”
Coyotka cocked her head back and looked up as she recalled the relevant passages of the Wanderers Handbook.
“We’re on Medioterrae. A place with many connections to the region of Earth known as the Mediterranean. According to my research there used to be a portal near a place called Pompeii, but I believe that it was destroyed by an eruption a couple of millennia ago.”
“Are there other’s?” Annie asked impatiently.
“Oh yes, several that connect to the land of the snail eaters and another to connects to the fortress of Camelot in a land called Briton. That one would take you too far into the past though, by a thousand years or so. From there, however, you can connect through Asgard to Norway right around where you want to be, time wise.”
“That could work. How do we get to that portal?”
“It lies in the kingdom of Lyonesse.
“What a coincidence.” Darryl said. “That is where the Lord that stole my Tenille lives.”
* * * * * * * *
They ended up roasting the chickens Annie had caught to feed the ravenous dragon while he and Paul discussed how best to get to Lyonesse. When they were finished planning the collie set the watch, sending Coyotka to sit on a nearby hill where she could see all the approaches to their camp.
The rest arranged themselves around the smoldering campfire, with Paul putting the dragon between him and the former assassin. That was fine with Annie and Junafir, as they found the reptile’s unblinking stare somewhat disturbing. Junafir went as far as not to undress until she was under the blanket she shared with James.
She rubbed his broad chest and nibbled his ear until they could hear the soft snores and even breathing that indicated the rest had fallen asleep after another long day on the road.
She slipped he hand down to where James’s cock was laying limply across his thigh.
“You think that dragon can compete with this?” She giggled softly as she queened it gently.
“I don’t know. The closest thing we have to him on Earth are Komodo Dragons, a kind of big lizard about his size that goes on all fours. I saw a nature documentary on them last year. They are not exactly hung like a ... like Gael ... but they do have two penises.”
“Two!” She exclaimed, stoking him harder. “Do they use them both at once?”
“No, they alternate, using one for a while and then the other, back and forth until the job is done, I guess.”
“Female Komodo Dragons must be hard to satisfy.” She breathed in his ear as she bit the lobe gently. “Not like me.”
“You’re no lightweight in the sack either.”
She sat up. “Are you calling me fat?”
“No, no! It means that you can go the distance, give as good as you get, hold your own.”
Junafir purred as she settled in against him again. “I’ll do more than just hold what’s mine.” She emphasized her ownership by gripping the knob on the end of his growing erection tightly and giving it a twist. “I’ll put it right where it belongs.”
Keeping the blanket over them, she swung her leg over him and lay on his chest with her breasts in his face while she continued to stoke and guide his cock between her legs.
“Geeze, Junafir, not so fast. I left the condoms in the pack over there.” he indicated where their bags were stacked, well out of reach.
“It’s okay, It’s not my time.”
“You sure?”
“One hundred percent.”
James relaxed and lay back. “Okay.”
Junafir rubbed the head of his cock against her already wet and spreading vulva. As she did, she eased herself back, forcing him inside her a bit at a time. When the thick knob popped inside she moaned and removed her hand, putting both under his arms so she could grip his shoulders when she began to slide back and forth on his torso.
She went slow and easy at first, their joined bodies hardly making more of a bulge in the bedroll than they did when sleeping, but after she had worked his cock deep inside her she sped up the pace.
“Oh Maker, yes.” She moaned as the raised veins of his cock made ripples flow across her extended clit.
“Shhhh! You’re making too much noise,”
“Phaaa! The rest are fast asleep.” In truth she did not care how loud she was moaning. The thrill of doing this almost in public, the possibility that the others may be lying awake and watching them writhe under the blanket, was driving her to new heights of excitement. The more she thought about it the faster and harder she moved on him, and the louder she got.
James was finding it hard to keep his own gasps and groans of pleasure down too, although the thought of being caught terrified him. It made him tense, and his muscles became tight and rigid, which pleased Junafir all the more as her erect nipples rubbed on his rock-hard pecs and ground her clit into his stiff pelvic muscles.
His hands had started off on her waist, to help her keep the slow steady pace he had expected, but once she put things in high gear he shifted them to take a grip on each globe of her firm ass. He pulled them apart each time she took his cock inside her and then squeezed them together as she pulled off so he could feel every bit of the inside of her cunt moving on him. He used his long digits to tickle her puckered tail hole and tease the tender tissue between it and her grasping twat.
He was grunting like a feral pig routing for truffles by the time she began gasping in a high-pitched whine that she half-heartedly tried to stifle in the crock of his shoulder. He took one hand from her ass and pressed her head against his neck as she rolled her hips in short sharp strokes that maximized contact between her clit and his cock and the swelling patch of tissue deep inside her.
Her cries as she came were even higher pitched and she stopped moving suddenly as her cervix began to pulse and suck at the intruder pressed up against it. The eager pulsations and the flood of warm fluids surrounding his shaft were enough to overcome James’s fears and he came deep inside her with a cry that could have been mistaken for a fatal stabbing in other circumstances. The splash of hot cum inside her only drove her to a second orgasm, one that sent her shuddering against him.
It took several hundred heartbeats for them both to stop twitching.
“Do you think anyone heard us?” James whispered once he could breathe evenly again.
“No. I don’t think so.”
“Good. Come, tuck yourself in under my arm and use my chest for a pillow. Comfy?”
“Yes.”
He tilted his head and kissed her lightly on the lips before settling back. “I love you, Junafir”
The words sent a thrill though her that rivaled her recent orgasm, but she kept her voice light and even as she replied, “I love you too, James.”
They were both snoring in less than a minute.
Across the fire Paul Colliman shifted in his bedroll, trying to keep the rough blanket from rubbing on the sensitive skin of his cock, which had slid out of his sheath against his will about halfway through the performance.
“Well, I certainly didn’t hear them.” Darryl chuckled in a low voice as he tried to will his own erection back into its place beneath his wide abdominal scales.
“Me neither.” Chris snickered from the other side of the dragon. “But I could sure smell them.”
“Yeah, me too. I think I need to go, uh, relieve myself.” The reptile got up and walked stiffly toward a bush that was not the designated latrine.
“Think we should follow him?” Chris whispered to Paul, who he was sure did not fully trust the newest member of their troupe.
“No, leave him be. I need to relive myself too, now that I think of it.” The collie got up and shambled off in a different direction with his hands over his groin.
Chris was glad that he had been so thoroughly drained by the aggressive coyote earlier, but briefly considered paying her a visit at her position on the hill. He decided against it though, calling on his assassin’s discipline and training to quash the lust shelling up inside him. Also, he did not want to seem needy, not unless he needed to.
Chris rolled over in his blankets, assuring himself that the next few days would bring enough excitement in any event.
