Chapter 12: Reputation Lost

Simba was so deep down, so close to broken that he didn't know what to think. His thoughts were hazy, swallowed up by the pleasure being forced on his dick, on his ass, on every part of his body that was capable of feeling it. He was covered in mud, fingerprints, footprints, everything that the hyenas had touched him with. He moaned as his hole was stretched wide, he gasped as his toes were sucked on, and he shivered all the more every time that he felt one of the hyenas slap his cock around, pushing it back and forth along his belly-fur.
He was upside-down? Yes, lifted by the hips, pinned in place by Banzai slamming into him over and over again. For all that he was the prince of the Pride Lands, he was reminded again and again that here, among the hyenas, he was just Princy. Not Simba, not royalty, not anything but the cock slut that the hyenas craved so much.
He, in turn, craved them. He moaned, his toes curling, his cock feeling like it was about to explode. After so long, he swore that he should have blown his load a dozen times by now, but instead, his belly was dry, save for the mud and pre-cum that he dribbled. Simba panted, shivering every time that the muscular hyena rammed into him, filling his ass up again, and again, and again.
"Ah...mmmph..."
"Yeah, that's it, Princy. You like that big fat hyena cock up your ass, don't you?"
Simba nodded without thinking, because it was the truth. He did love it. More than he should, he loved it.
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Go on, take it, bitch."
In, out, in, out, he was fucked, his hole pushed in and then pulled out again by Banzai's sheer girth. Each thrust was another blast of pleasure, that thick cock hitting that button in him again and again, making him want to roar, want to cum.
The other hyenas were all around him, pushing down on his body. They pinned him in place as they worked his feet, his cock, his hands. They used everything that they could for their own pleasure, sometimes going so far as to squat over his face and drag their dicks along his cheeks or lips, risking their shafts for the pleasure of a lion mouth. He kept his lips sealed when he could, but sometimes, they managed to get lucky.
Banzai rammed in, and he screamed. Another hyena took the chance to ram in, forcing his head back, making him stare at spotted balls as the male rutted his face, fucking him. His throat had long-since given up the ghost of not wanting this, swallowing hard around the hyena shaft. He moaned, gasped, huffed through flaring nostrils against that musky sac pressed against his face.
Another touch, soft, muddy feet pressing against his cock. Squish, goosh went the muck, grinding between his cock and those soles. He gasped, swallowed, his toes curling, trapping another cock against them.
Cock, cock, everywhere, and they were slimy and wet and needy. He couldn't stop. He didn't want to stop. It felt too good.
In, out, in, out, dictated by the pace of Banzai's frantic thrusting. It continued, ramming into him, out of him, into him again, always hitting that button, always leaving him gasping. It almost felt like it was training his hole somehow, making him into more and more of a slut, more and more of a needy bitch that couldn't go without it. Already, his asshole was clenching and pulling, trying to suck that cock deeper into his body, trying to keep it deep rather than letting it pull out.
Wanton...
He shivered at the word that popped into his head, feeling like he was being cursed to become like Sarakiba, to have that need to be fucked all the time. It was one thing for a lion to bend over for a lion, but for all others? For everyone?
The idea...
The idea was hot. Hot as fuck.
Simba moaned as he felt his orgasm about to take over, about to hit him. He moaned, clenching down hard on that thick cock inside him, begging Banzai to fill him without saying anything. His throat warmed as cum started spraying down his neck, and then -
"RAWWWWWWWWWR!"
Just like that, a roar split the air, and the hyenas fucking him pulled away. Simba collapsed into the mud again, gasping for breath as he felt the world come crashing down on him again. The ache in his ass, the emptiness that followed, was almost enough to have him on all fours and seeking cock again. What stopped him? He didn't know, but he slowly rolled himself upright, panting and groaning.
He saw a spray of red in the air, and he stared as the red droplets hit the ground. The red came from a falling hyena, an older one, and his mouth fell open as he saw his father where the hyena had been standing, blood on his hands, blood on his jaws.
Another roar split the air as Mufasa charged forward, knocking down hyenas left and right. Simba gritted his teeth, trying to push himself upright as the hyenas as a whole fell back, entering the camp properly, pulling back behind their meager defenses. His father, however, pursued them, and two more hyenas fell before the rest of the Pride and their allies caught up.
Simba could hardly believe what he was seeing. His father had always been the gentle man in his life, someone that had done everything right, everything calmly. Not once had his father shouted him down, not once had he reached anything close to a violent solution with anyone in the Pride Lands. For the first time, he saw the warrior that was buried beneath his father's calm exterior, and he was afraid.
And not just for himself. He groaned, trying to put his arms under him, his legs shaking as he tried to get to his feet. Nothing wanted to work after that hard rutting, and he fell forward, almost splatting against the mud again.
His father shouted for him. The entire Pride shouted for him.
"Simba! Simba, where are you?"
He tried to call back, but he was still catching his breath. He lifted his head as he watched his father cut down another hyena, claws slashing across an exposed throat and sending another splatter of blood through the air.
The rest of the Pride were more measured in their response, but he could see how they were reacting. He could see how they were reacting. A dozen faces, more, all of them marked with shock. He could see them the way that Mufasa could have done, if he had embraced the power of the land again.
Simba pushed himself up, shaking his head. Enough mud fell from him for his mane to come free, and his father finally saw him.
"Simba!"
His father ran ahead, leaping over the hyenas that stood in his way, knocking aside those that still tried to stop him or slow him down. Simba was still gasping for breath by the time that the king managed to get through the hyena tends and kneel down at his side. Big, strong hands rolled him over, leaving him laying on his father's lap.
"Simba...what did they do to you?"
Nothing bad, Simba thought, panting still. His cock was hard, rock hard, and he throbbed eagerly when his father's hand pressed so close to it against his leg. He groaned, shaking his head, trying to find the words.
"They used you..."
"Nnngh...no..."
"Brother!"
Scar. The dangerous one. He groaned as he looked up again, staring at his uncle. The black and red lion lunged between the tents. Simba shared a look with his uncle, and for a half-second, he swore that he saw a smirk on the older lion's face. Then it disappeared, replaced by an expression of concern.
"Brother, we've got him. You've done enough."
"No. No, I haven't."
Simba was getting a number of new experiences today. That tone of voice was so much darker, so much angrier than he had ever heard from the king before. That was the voice of someone ready to kill. He grabbed for his father's mane, holding it tight, trying to keep a good grip. Mufasa turned back to him.
"Don't worry, son. This will never happen again."
"Didn't...get...hurt," he managed to gasp out.
"What?"
"I...wanted...this..."
"...They made you want it."
"Brother, no one can -"
"This is my son. The prince." Mufasa shook his head. "He would not just 'want this'. This is something forced on him."
No, I...I really...
Simba didn't have the words. His body didn't want to work right after everything that it had been put through. His father...his father was losing his mind. Mufasa slowly lowered him to the ground as the hyenas came closer. If his father only knew, this wasn't them doing anything against the kingdom, or against him. He had just done...
Tell him...tell him...
He begged his uncle to speak, and Scar opened his mouth.
"Brother, you -"
Crack.
The sound of fist on cheek was all that Simba could hear as he watched his uncle fall to the ground. His eyes went wide at the sight of his father gone mad. Scar hit the ground, not unconscious, but definitely dizzy. The Pride, in the background, stopped their advance, and so did their allies. They stared, shocked, confused.
Mufasa roared. The hyenas took a step back, and as they did, the king stepped forward with murderous intent. His eyes were all but red. Simba tried to speak and failed again...
And not far away, another roar answered.
Mufasa was almost within pouncing distance when he heard the roar, and he stopped in his tracks. The king's cock swung forward, then back as he looked over the hyenas towards the rocks of the Elephant Graveyard. That roar was not one that would have been made by any of his Pride, and the Pride Lands belonged to his and his alone. That sound...
Several hyenas were punted off the top of the Graveyard, their bodies hitting the ground with a thud. The king looked down, and then, with the power that came with the royal bloodline, he looked up.
He saw the lions before they reached the lip of the Graveyard. He saw them as they advanced, one after another. They wore paints and piercings across their bodies, their frames lean and starved compared to those of his own Pride. At the head of them, their leader, marked with a mane that was pulled back and tied tight behind his head, smirked.
Zara.
He met the other lion's eyes, struck dumb at the sight. He'd banished Zara and his pride from the Pride Lands long ago, well before Simba had been born. The other lion was just younger than him, the ruler of a rival group of lions before he had taken control, before he and Scar had secured their supremacy in the Pride Lands.
How...
His attack on the hyenas. It must have broken their watch, opened a hole in the defenses that Zara could take advantage of.
I made a mistake...
Simba was behind him, safe. The hyenas ahead. Zara was saying something, gloating, but the words fell on deaf ears as he just...stared...
You must do something.
That was the instinct that came to him, the reminder that he was king, that he had to take care of things. He had to take care of his people. He had to defend the Pride Lands. He had to think of -
Suddenly, a rock sailed over his head, plinking Zara right in the forehead. Mufasa whipped around to see his brother getting up, leading the lions forward. Scar had thrown that first rock, and led the lions in throwing more as they charged. His brother shouted to the hyenas, and their battle was ended as a new one started.
He knew that his place was at the front lines, leading the rest of the Pride, leading his allies, but he couldn't move. The lion king was rooted to the spot as his brother led the Pride and their former enemies up the rocky paths, heading right for the enemy Pride. They were going to be fine...
Mufasa looked over his shoulder, staring after the allies that he had gathered for the fight. They stared at him, shaking their heads, and slowly disappeared. He opened his mouth, ready to roar for them to come back...but he couldn't make himself do it.
I made a mistake...
He knelt down, looking at his son again. Simba had passed out, it seemed. He closed his eyes as the fighting continued and looked back, back, into the recent past.
He didn't want that. There's no way that my son would want something like that...
And yet, as he stared into that moment, he could see the bliss on his son's face. He could see that Simba had been more than willing to participate. His heir, his prince, did not bother fighting against the hyenas. If anything, he surrendered himself to them, giving himself up, allowing them to do what they wanted.
His erection, his need, had been as clear and obvious as anything. Mufasa had been the one to ignore it. He had...
He had made a mistake. A terrible, terrible mistake.
The dead hyenas were still in the mud, bleeding from the wounds that he had inflicted. Rather than do what he had always done before, rather than talk to the hyenas and offer them peace, rather than look into their world and try and come to an understanding, he had believed the worst. They were hyenas; they could not be reformed.
Except that had been his mistake. He had believed them no different to the monsters he'd always seen them as. He came roaring in, killed them, when all of this...all of this was consensual.
I...I...
He looked at his hand, at the blood on his fingers, and he wept.
Once the fight was over, the Pride descended from the Graveyard, hurrying back to their king. Before Scar could follow them, Shenzi grabbed him around the wrist, pulling him back.
"We need to talk, Scar."
"...If we must."
"Trust me, we do."
"...Then lead on, oh hyena."
The other lions continued their departure, and Shenzi sent a portion of the hyenas with them. No need to risk more deaths after the murders that Mufasa had done. He shook his head as he pulled Scar behind a rock.
"We had a deal."
"Yes, and I fulfilled that deal."
"No, you didn't. You said that you'd stop it before it got out of hand. There's four hyenas dead that say you didn't."
"I never said that it would be deathless, Shenzi." Scar smiled. "And this is war."
"It's a fake war."
"Even those have casualties, hyena. And the bodies make it more realistic."
Shenzi gritted his teeth, but didn't disagree. He had hoped to keep it minimized, hopefully to nothing, but that went out the window the minute Mufasa took the lead in the battle. It would have been one thing if the other lions had been the ones doing most of the fighting, but once an enraged father took the fore...
It was a shame. They had lost four members of their tribe, and that wasn't something that they would ever get back. He'd just have to make sure that it was worth it.
"So, when will you make your move?"
"Soon," Scar said, looking down at his claws. "Just as soon as the rumors spread that Mufasa was willing to murder the hyenas over his son's reputation."
"And his kid?"
"Oh, Simba will be yours."
"...That's generous of you," Shenzi said, arching an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Consider him a gift."
"You don't give gifts, Scar."
"No, I don't."
The black-maned lion smiled in a way that did not make the hyena patriarch feel any better about the matter. His ally had something planned, and he wasn't sharing it. That boded badly for them.
But at the same time, was there really a choice? He had already bought their place with the lives of his people. That had to mean something. It had to. He had to keep pushing and see what he could get.
"Fine. I get the prince. Does that mean I get the ex-king, too?"
"Don't push your luck. I can't very well have him running around free, now, can I?"
"So, you're gonna kill him?"
"When I can be sure that nobody will object...yes."
Shenzi nodded. That got rid of one prize that he might have asked for, but he hadn't expected to get it. Scar was gunning for the top spot of the Pride Lands, and the fewer rivals that he had for that, the better. Having Simba alive and well would be risky enough. Having someone that actually could take the throne, who could excuse his actions through the use of war-time problems if they waited for the right moment, would be stupid. And Scar wasn't one that you could call stupid.
"If we're done here?" Scar asked, looking up from his claws, slowly stretching as only a lion could.
Shenzi had plenty more that he could say, but he knew that keeping Scar away from the Pride for too long would lead to other consequences. Admittedly, the same consequences would start falling on the lion first, but that would always come down to the hyenas in the end. Scar might pretend that they were amicable allies, but both of them knew that the other had their own goals. Shenzi knew a few of Scar's; he wondered if the lion knew any of his.
Regardless, he shrugged, and Scar walked off. He watched the lion's slow sway as he walked, and felt a rare jab of lust. It would be nice to fuck that male into the ground and show Scar just how it felt to be the one on the bottom.
Still, that wouldn't happen anytime soon, and better not to entertain thoughts that might cause problems. At the moment, he was riding high, and he needed to keep that momentum.
All down to you now, Princy...
At the moment, the prince was their best chance. Simba was unconscious, Shenzi could tell that much from the lip of the Graveyard, but that was down to all the marks that they'd put on him. The little spells that they'd traced with mud under his guidance, all the little sensitizers and more that they'd worked through his fur: it would affect him while he was asleep, planting little suggestions, little needs in him that others would never quite be able to scratch the way that the hyenas had.
He had every reason to believe that Mufasa would take Simba to Rafiki, that the monkey would probably have a chance to find most of them, but as long as a few were left behind, the prince would basically be a hyena bitch. He would crave the hyenas, want them, seek them out even when he wasn't required to.
He would sympathize with them, want what they wanted. As long as they had that, then Shenzi could find a way to deal with Scar in the future. One royal on their side, and one royal on the Pride side.
It would work.
It would work.
Scar left the rest of the Pride behind once they reached the Rock, heading to the rear of it to his usual place. Sarakiba was nowhere to be seen, unsurprisingly, but that would change. He would call the wanton one to him later, when he needed some relief. The prey was always eager for the predator, after all.
For now, he smiled. The plan had gone as well as it could have.
Brother, you should have listened to me...
Of course, if that had happened, then the plan would have been spoiled. He had intentionally made things as difficult as possible. Having Simba and Naka discovered being rutted by the hyenas the first time had been the start; Mufasa had been horrified at the sight, and despite making a peace agreement, he had never quite forgotten that moment. He had never forgotten the sight of his sun being used, marked, dirtied, sullied by a hyena.
If it had been his son, Scar had every inkling that he would have felt the same. It was one thing for one to experience all that life had to offer, but with hyenas? He shook his head. Utterly disgusting creatures, wallowing in the dirt and the filth. Never quite getting themselves above it, either, and more than willing to drag others down to their level.
If Simba had been any closer to him than he was, Scar would have felt some sympathy for his nephew. As it stood, it was just one more step towards bringing his brother down and taking what was his.
That fear, that hate, that anger had lingered, so when he brought Sarakiba back, their agreed lies had been more than sufficient to stoke it back to a fevered pitch. Mufasa had never bothered to do more than glimpse at the situation from a distance to see whether it was true or not, and then he had committed himself.
And that, dear brother, was your mistake.
Scar smiled as he savored his own brilliance. He had set himself up as the peaceful one right there, right in front of all the allies of the Pride. The various tribes had seen him as the reasonable one, him as the one that questioned whether violence was necessary. Then, at the battle...
Shenzi hadn't been wrong. He was the one that had said that he'd ensure that it didn't go too far. And as far as he was concerned, it hadn't. The hyenas were a dangerous group, beasts that needed to remember their place. A few deaths wouldn't hurt their usefulness, overall, and it would remind Shenzi that they were rather expendable in the long term. The patriarch needed to be kept in line, and a few dead hyenas would probably do the job better than any lecture or personal act of intimidation.
And besides, the blood on Mufasa's claws was more useful than the good will of the hyenas right at that moment.
The true brilliance, however, had not just been the manufacturing of Mufasa's guilt - something that his brother would carry to his grave - but the reminder of and solution to the other Prides that lived in the badlands and outlands. The hyenas had played their part perfectly, right up to the point of a few of their number faking falling to their deaths from the top of the Graveyard. The sight of Zara and his Pride had resonated with not just the allies of the Pride, but those among it.
They remembered, now. They remembered the threats out there, and they had seen that Mufasa had frozen, and Scar had acted.
In one fell swoop, he had taken all the love that the allies of the Pride and the lions of the Pride had for their king and made them question it. They would be talking about this for weeks, wondering if Mufasa was the proper leader, wondering if the threats outside the Pride Lands needed more serious treatment than they were getting. They would see the hyenas as unwanted but needed allies, creatures that they would have to work with, and that would give him leeway in commanding them and moving them among the other tribes.
It was a perfect move, and one that nobody had seen coming. He had manipulated it perfectly.
Purring in self-contentment, he growled into the darkness. He could feel Sarakiba picking up on the sound, and he knew that the wanton one would be there soon. All he had to do now was wait. Soon, perhaps even as soon as a week from now, he could move on to the next stage of his plans.
#
Things had gone wrong, horribly wrong, and Sakabi could only imagine that it was due to Scar. He had no proof, but he knew on some deep level that only the king's brother could cause chaos to this degree.
Mufasa sat unspeaking at his heir's side. Simba was still unconscious, and Rafiki had been summoned to work his power on the young male. Sakabi shook his head, knowing that this would continue for some time. If he could just speak to the king, if he could sort out what had happened with the hyenas, perhaps they could do something, but the king was morose, miserable in his guilt.
Sakabi knew that the pain would linger, knew that his love would be deep in this for a time. The king had been so removed from life that he had almost forgotten how to feel. Now that he was deep in catastrophe, he needed that distance, but he seemed unable, or at the very least, unwilling, to find it again.
He fears for his son...
If there was something that Sakabi could say, even as a lie, that he believed that the king would take to heart, he would have said it. The Pride Lands needed the king to be at his best, to solve the issues that had been thrust before it. They needed him to be a strong, central pillar of authority, not moping in a cave staring at the blood on his claws. He had failed, yes, but that was one failure. He could still make it better if he just acted.
Instead, he sat there, waiting, and Sakabi was forced to do the same due to his own position within the Pride.
Eventually, Rafiki put his staff down. The king sat up a little straighter.
"What did you find?"
"Harmless magic. Marks and runes."
"Did they make him do this?"
"No, my king."
"...Then..."
"They made it more pleasurable, but that is all."
The last thing that he knew that his lover wanted to hear. The king was hardly blameless in what he had done, but if there'd been any trace of something compelling Simba in the acts that he'd done, then perhaps there would have been something that they could have said to mitigate the deaths. As it stood, the rest of the Pride Lands were already muttering about the savagery of the king, and what it might mean for them if he lost his temper with their people.
If they could see what I see now...
Mufasa was already a broken man. There was little more that one could do to break him further, but she was sure that someone would find a way. Scar, namely.
"Love..."
Mufasa didn't answer. Instead, he stared at his unconscious son as Rafiki started the process of washing him down, getting rid of the mud and muck that covered him from head to toe. The mandrill hummed to himself as he did it, and nothing that Sakabi said seemed to get through.
Cursing under his breath, he eventually got to his feet. Finally, Mufasa looked up.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm going for a walk."
"But our son -"
"Will be asleep all night. He won't know you were here."
"I should be."
You should have been there long ago, Sakabi thought, even as he stifled the thought and threw it away. That was not the thing to say, and this was not the time, even if Simba might have been safer if Mufasa hadn't thrown everything into being the king, into looking after the kingdom rather than after the Pride.
Shaking his head, Sakabi walked through the darkened halls of Pride Rock. The rest of the Pride had long since gone to bed, and he had every reason to believe that Scar was entertaining himself with one of the wanton ones to celebrate how this had gone. It was probably going to be loud later, and one of them would show up with sliced up hips or worse, but it was the way that it was going to go.
Naka would need more lessons tomorrow, he was sure. They would need to go over how to find Simba if he disappeared like that again. Tracking needed to be trained up, as well as any number of other skills. Sakabi was going to have his hands full just managing a grief-stricken lover, let alone any younger lions.
I hate putting this responsibility on you, but my hands are going to be too full to manage anything else for a while...
Shaking his head, he sought out the young male.
Naka had not been allowed to march with the rest of the lions during the fight with the hyenas, but he knew what the results had been. Mufasa shamed, Simba unconscious, and an invasion barely averted with the help of Scar's leadership. It felt like a horrible nightmare version of their world rather than reality, but he had heard the stories from people that wouldn't have lied to him. Even Sakabi admitted that this was how it had gone, and Zazu, flying above the battlefield, had told him every detail.
"It doesn't make sense," Naka said, shaking his head.
"No, sir, it doesn't," Zazu confirmed. "Which is why Sakabi, in all his wisdom, believes that it might have been set up."
"We gotta figure it out."
"Sir, there will be no figuring without Sakabi's permission. If he is right, then that means that Scar is the one behind it all."
"Then we kick him out."
"We can't just do that without some evidence. As it is, it will merely look like the king is trying to remove his shame."
Naka gritted his teeth, kicking a rock before pulling his knees up to his chest. Sitting on the edge of the Rock, it meant that he leaned forward more than was really safe, but at that point, it was hard to care. The world felt wrong, particularly with the prince still unconscious. It felt like something had been taken from him.
He'd been responsible for the prince's wellbeing, or at least, partially, for too long for him to feel good about Simba getting some comeuppance for what had happened between them. He should have controlled himself better, held out, let the prince have a little fun. Even with his own trauma...
Naka leaned his head against his knees, bonking his forehead against them. Zazu rested a hand on his shoulder, shaking his head.
"It will be okay."
"Will it, Zazu? Will it?"
The bird had no answer.
The End
Summary: Simba's rut with the hyenas comes to an end as Mufasa arrives...only for things to get markedly worse.
