Slayer or Layer 35
For Lorvianne

Of course, dragging information out of someone was easier when you were on top of them rather than dripping their seed. Lorkos shifted back and forth on his haunches, feeling his pussy dripping with the seed of the other dragon, thick and white and...well, not warm anymore, but still lukewarm. He could feel it dribbling down under his tail and along his hind legs, and he didn't particularly like it.
The yellow dragon tried to smirk, but the smile slowly faded the longer that Lorkos held his glare with the other dragon. Maybe it was something to do with the whole pseudo-matriarchal structure that he had started picking up on, but the male soon turned his head with a small sigh, shaking his head.
"Goddammit."
"What?" Lorkos grunted. "Thought you were getting a second round?"
"First, that would have been the seventh round, at least. Second, you think that I could get it up again? Really?"
"I think I could make it happen..."
It was less a sexual tease and more of a threat. He knew that he could probably force the other dragon hard again, particularly as there were still heat scents around his pussy. That wouldn't last for long with all the seed that had been pumped into him, but he knew that it was a good way to get a male hard, no matter how tired they were.
And the threat worked. The yellow dragon shrunk back slightly, pulling further into his cave, and Lorkos followed him, getting back on all fours.
"I asked you once, and I'm only going to ask you one more time. Where is Ashin?"
"Mmph. The curse is -"
"Is going to be less of a problem than me if you don't start telling me what I want to know."
"You really aren't going to give up on this?"
"Do I look like I'm ready to give up on this?"
"Well, in the right light -"
SMASH! Lorkos brought his tail down, smashing a crater in the cave floor. The other dragon looked down, then seemed to imagine that same blow coming for his face. It looked like it was enough to get him to make the right decision.
"Alright. I'll tell you where she is."
"Good."
"But first -"
"What now?!"
The yellow dragon backed up another few paces, his eyes wide. Lorkos didn't care. He was seething, pissed off and raging at this point. He had come so close to finding the damn dragoness at the other mountain, to getting this damn curse lifted, and if he didn't find a way to get to her soon, he swore he was going to rip someone's head off.
He stomped forward, reaching out with one foreleg. The stud dragon tried to pull away, but too late. He slammed the yellow dragon into the ground, and then stood on his shoulder.
"I am sick...and tired...of getting the fucking runaround. If I do this, I'll find her. If I do that, I'll fix this. If I do this, someone will fix me. No. No. Fucking. More. You tell me where the fuck she is, and then, if you make a good fucking argument, I'll stick around and listen to you when you tell me the rest of it. You got that?"
"Well -"
CHOMP!
Lorkos was half-feral by this point, and he no longer cared. Rage was a hell of a thing for getting rid of one's standards. As the blue feral bit down on the neck of the yellow one, holding the teeth just barely on the edge of piercing the scales, he growled. He growled so loud that it felt like it was going to vibrate his eyes right out of their sockets and his teeth right out of his maw. The threat was clear. Speak, or lose a chunk of flesh.
The dragon chose to speak.
"She's off to the south, in a different lair. She's cleared out lots of mountains in her time, and this time, she's living in one just between two mage cities."
Two mage cities. That meant that she'd managed to hide herself among the mammals. That was...impressive, he had to admit. That was something that nobody thought a dragon could do.
Then again, if she could curse him to be like this, that meant that she was probably a lot more capable of magic and subterfuge than the average dragon.
He slowly pulled his mouth back, and the yellow stud panted softly, rolling backwards and getting out of reach again. Lorkos let him, more focused on figuring out how the hell he was going to get there instead of trying to figure out what to do with the stud.
Flying out there would mean flying through who knew how many gryphon patrols, and that would mean dealing with knights and worse. There were likely to be other magical defenses on the way, and not just mammal ones, either. There were likely to be defenses that Ashin had set up to keep other dragons from interfering or guiding the mammals to her lair, and that would mean that he would have to figure out a way through them, as well. There would be a way, as she couldn't get there without making sure that there was a path for her to take, but it would be tricky as all hell.
As he debated what he could do to get there quickly, the stud dragon looked down, up, and then down again.
"You...will want to wait a bit."
"Not likely."
"There's a couple of things you should hear."
"I know all I need to know."
"About Ashin? No, you don't."
"I know that she started this war, and I know that she didn't do it on purpose."
"That's...not quite right," the yellow dragon said. "You heard it from the lizards outside, I presume?"
"...Yes?"
"Then you should hear it from a dragon. We keep better records than the little ones do, and we live longer."
"And why should I listen to you instead of just going after her now?"
"Well, you're pregnant, for one."
"..."
Lorkos looked down at his belly, realizing that the heat had faded much faster than usual. That always meant that the seed in him had taken root, and that meant eggs. Considering that he had finally mated with a feral dragon rather than lizards or kobolds, that probably meant that this was going to be a much wilder ride than usual. He wasn't looking forward to that.
But that also meant that he wasn't going to be flying very well for a while. He remembered the trip up to the village when he'd first met Sila and the others. Once he had gotten sufficiently bloated, there was no way for him to fly, and that meant that he had to stick to the wagons the closer that they got to the village. And that, in turn, meant that he would have been easy prey if someone else found him.
The trip south would be all the more arduous, and the idea of getting caught on the ground by the nimble gryphon knights did not sit well with him.
"Hmmph. I'll stay until I lay. No longer."
"That's long enough."
"...Why is this history something that you want me to hear, anyway?"
"Because you're going to have to make a decision when you find Ashin," the yellow dragon said, folding his forelegs up in front of him, laying his head down on them. "And if you're going to do that, you might as well have all the information that you can get to make it a good one."
"And what kind of decision are you talking about?"
"Whether to let her live or let her die."
Lorkos glared at the other dragon, not for the assumption, but more for being right. For all that he was just trying to get rid of the curse, there was something else under all of his rage. It begged to be let loose, begged to be allowed to rip the red dragoness's head from her shoulders and show her what kind of pain she'd caused him from her spell. He wanted to kill her, on some level, even though the curse had been expended enough at the moment to keep him from feeling the heat for it.
On the other hand, there had been some learning, however unwilling, on his part ever since he had been cursed. The scaly species were not downright evil, as so many people believed. They were not entirely civilized, and they were definitely not the same as the mammals by any stretch of the imagination, but they were not evil. That was something that the mammals and their priests and their mages had gotten wrong.
For teaching him that, he wasn't sure if he could bring himself to kill her. As angry as he was, he was still in her debt for managing to teach him that much. He wished that there'd been another way to do it, but he understood it, particularly with how angry she would have been after he killed her mate at the time.
He sighed, slowly lowering himself to the cave floor in imitation of the other dragon, folding his arms forward and tucking them under his head. His wings furled against his back and his tail tapped against the floor impatiently. The other dragon finally nodded, beginning his lesson.
"You have been told that Ashin struck at the mammals while they were still building up their forces, under the assumption that they were going to strike at the reptiles in the mountains, to try and clear them out. That was what you were told, yes?"
"Something like that."
"There is some truth in that. The mammals had come to the mountains, and for every settlement that we had on the surface, they declared that they needed that land, or that particular piece of the slope. They always stated it as if it was eminently reasonable, because, after all, we could live underground. They could not. One by one, the villages were pushed further and further into the mountains. Dragons, previously distant lords, were forced to become more present, forced to step forward and take charge in ways that they had not previously done.
"Some of us were willing to do this. Some of us were not. Ashin was one that was too willing. Whether it was because of her difficulty bearing any substantial young or some other reason, she was protective of them. Overprotective, in many cases. So, when the threat of war began to loom, she reacted without thinking. She did not take the time to examine the situation, she did not see if there was another way. She merely took charge as a mother might, and decided that her way was the best and only way."
"...It was a very bloody way."
The other dragon shrugged.
"It was what she believed would work. I imagine that there are many generals that believe in the preemptive strike, and there are many soldiers that have taken action because it seemed like the right idea at the time."
"That doesn't make it right."
"No, but it does make it understandable." The yellow dragon shook his head. "Since then, she's been present here and there throughout the world. The curse she's laid on you has come into being in several forms, each time with the idea of restoring some of the dead. Sometimes, she's laid it on adventurers like you, and other times..."
Lorkos arched an eyeridge. Other times? This was the first that he had heard of something like this.
"Other times, it was done in reverse. There have been...stories...of lizardmen that have gone through a similar transformation, but whereas you became scaly, they became furry."
"...What? What are...you can't be...That's impossible."
"Heh, and what happened to you is particularly possible?"
"I mean yes, but...I..." Lorkos pressed a forepaw to his head, trying to envision such a thing and failing. "Why would she..."
"She is a very motherly dragon. And she knew that there were losses on both sides."
"...Did any of the lizardfolk have any choice in the matter?"
"Of course not. She's a Great One. She had the power to order them, and they would go along with it regardless."
So, she had created breeders without any consent given. Perhaps the lizards would have done it anyway, but that didn't mean anything. It only meant that they had their worship presumed, and their consent the same. Ashin might have been a dragon that was trying to make up for something, but this...
This was beyond anything that he had ever considered.
Lorkos sighed. That didn't help him make up his mind, unfortunately, but it did give him something else to think about. Grunting, he started to push his legs out from under him, but before he could get to his feet -
"Great One - oh...You're back."
He recognized Sila's voice, turned...and froze. He remembered Sila as a lizardfolk, one that had been somewhat tall for her species, but still fairly squat. Now...
Now she stood as tall as a wolf would...and she had wings. She'd become a two-legged dragoness. Lorkos's eyes widened.
"What happened?"
"Now that...is an interesting story."
