After the incident with the pirates, Lucario, Jolteon, and Charizard's team were promoted from novice to bronze rank, and were recognized as more experienced than the others. But this also meant that they were expected to help any new members who joined and mentor them about how to handle the missions, or even help them out on some missions if it proved to be too much for them and show them the ropes of how things must be done.

They got a pretty big deal out of that last mission they accomplished, true to his word, not only did Shuckle join the guild, but also the alcoholic beverages and percentage shares from Shuckle's winery came. The other guild members became rowdy as soon as the crates of wine came, getting drunk and even breaking a few of the furniture, so the leaders made it a point that it would be kept locked in the storage unless there were any celebrations for the guild.

Though they were bronze rank, some of the other more seasoned members were of much higher rank.

There were other pokemorphs of different ranks.

There was Weavile and Zangoose, who were silver ranked members, though for some reason they were alienated now from the other guild members, especially with Weavile's former partner Abomasnow.

Speaking of Abomasnow, Abomasnow who had some sort of disagreement with Weavile, left the ice/dark type behind to pursue a partnership with another guild member, Emboar, and had achieved to move on from silver to gold rank.

Then there were the four swords leaders of the guild, though they don't have a rank, they are technically gold rank, but were never going to be promoted since they were the leaders of the guild... Well the lower ranks of the guild anyway.

"And then... I don't know what comes after gold rank actually" Jolteon said as he scratched his head, trying to remember the guild ranks.

"I think it's diamond rank?" Lucario said as he flipped his now bronze badge.

"No, that comes after platinum rank actually" Said Charizard.

Their conversation was interrupted when Eevee came with a request in tow.

"Guys guys! I got a job just for the three of you!" Eevee said, waving a small envelope around.

"What do you mean by 'just for us'?" Asked Jolteon.

"You three are getting more popular around here so I would've expected you'd be eager to get a mission" Eevee informed them.

"First I heard of someone being eager to have us do a mission considering-" Charizard said, before being elbowed by Lucario.

Charizard sweatdropped, realizing he would've blurted out about being fucked by evil pokemorphs in the past.

"Of course you haven't! You guys have been making a name for yourselves, the more famous you guys are, the more missions you can probably handle! It's only right for those who made an impression, and you've raked lots of poke for us ever since your last mission! The three of them looked at the letter which was true to Eevee's words, asking them to complete a specific mission.

I heard about the recent success of your guild recently, rescuing lots of pokemon and all, and even a prince at that! "Wait Lucario, I know you're eager to rescue this guy but how do you know that this letter isn't some kind of prank or trap?" Asked Charizard.

Lucario couldn't reply, he had no way to be certain this wasn't some sort of trap or something they couldn't handle.

"Well don't worry then Char, we'll leave immediately if we know this isn't something that we can handle or try to call for someone better suited for the job" Jolteon gave him an answer.

Charizard thought about it then nodded, it was good at least to see that they didn't have to rely on having to finish a mission that was completely out of their league.

They then went to the town of Garnet which seemed to be a farming community that seemed more isolated than the other towns considering that the pelippers and trading caravans don't pass through here too often, leaving the town as a middle of nowhere for the most part.

"Alright, we're here. Now all we have to do is ask around" Luario said as they then started to go further in.

As they passed through, everyone, and they mean everyone, stopped what they were doing, and looked at them... And said nothing.

They turned their heads like soulless husks, not even blinking as they dropped what they were doing, giving the three pokemorphs an eerie and creepy feeling traveling up their spines.

"... Guys, I don't think we're welcome here" Jolteon said as he didn't know if they should still continue with the mission.

"Well... We can always ask in the local inn, I'm sure the waitresses or the innkeeper would be nicer" Suggested Charizard.

Taking Charizard's advice, Lucario and his team indeed went inside and decided to talk to the innkeeper, a female Gardevoir.

"Excuse me miss? Do you know anything about-" Lucario was about to say but the Gardevoir interrupted him.

"Um... Alright then... I think we overstayed our welcome" Jolteon said, before the three started to leave.

The other patrons of the inn looked at them, with the same expressions as the farmers gave them.

Charizard heard about what had happened when Lucario and Jolteon first joined, but he couldn't discriminate since this could be any Venusaur in the first place.

"Now now, there's no need to fight, Venusaur has been a sheriff here for at least 3 years, so he is not this venusaur you sorely accuse him of committing the very crime a few months ago" Said Hypno dismissively.

If he had been the same venusaur, he surely wouldn't have been working here as a sheriff for 3 years... Or at least that's what Hypno said, or lied, they didn't exactly trust Hypno's words yet, for all they know, he could have been bribed.

"Fine, we're sorry..." Lucario and Jolteon relented, but they still acted cautious, something was definitely wrong with this town. Hell they didn't even know if the pokemorphs outside were still there, standing still and waiting for them like a bunch of zombies.

"Hold on! Aren't you acting too dismissive about this? Someone is in danger and you're just going to let it go like it's none of your concern? I thought you were the mayor of this town!" Charizard said as he clenched his fist.

"We take care of our own and me and the whole town haven't exactly felt... Trustful of you guild members, after all, you do this job to seek profit first than to help others, do you not? Would you even dare accept a request for free?" Hypno asked them.

"That your guild is just as selfish as the thugs of pokemon you defeat daily, or do you suggest that I'm lying through my teeth?" Hypno said, continuing to taunt them.

"The guild won't be happy if they hear that one of us attacked a mayor of one of the towns" Jolteon said to Lucario.

Lucario stopped himself after that, Jolteon had a point, he can't bring embarrassment and shame on the guild for no reason.

They heard Hypno chuckle as a servant then gave them each a cup of tea.

"I'm sorry for my attitude, I forget myself sometimes, this position as mayor is deeply stressful that I sometimes forget that I should act accordingly. The trio were unsure if Hypno was telling the truth, they still weren't going to leave of course, but wanted to get in the good graces of the mayor at least.

"As much as we want to drop this issue, there's still the fact that someone claimed to have been in danger here. Are you sure there's nobody here who claimed to be in any sort of danger or wanted to leave town lately?" Lucario said, pressing the matter further again.

"Oh I'm sure... And there won't be another one ever again" Hypno said, before handing the letter to Dragonite.

"Hey!" Jolteon said, before aiming for Dragonite, but his pistols were whipped away from his hands as Venusaur had disarmed him completely.

Lucario and Charizard readied to defend themselves and help out Jolteon, before they felt their legs turning into jelly as they felt their legs give in and fell on their knees.

I was supposed to be next in line once he was unfit to be the leader... BUT YOUR STUPID GUILD HAD TO FUCK EVERYTHING UP AND DISBAND IT!!!" "Like we're going to help you!" Jolteon yelled angrily.

Lucario and Charizard shut shut their eyes as Hypno started to swing the pendulum over and over.
