A Little Less Counselor, A Little More Concubine
Part 21
For FyacinTia
By Draconicon
It did not take long to draw Masaru's essence from him with her mouth, but Fyacin was far from satisfied with that. Something in her had awakened, a wild spirit that begged for the taste of others, for the company and the warmth that they offered. She felt bonded to this pleasure, this creature that she wished to be, and she took the red panda further and further down the road to debauchery.
By the time that they were finished, hours later, the poor general had fallen on his back, gasping for breath, and his shaft would rise no more. The lion wiped her lips with the back of her hand, and then licked it clean. Masaru smiled all the while.
"Gods, woman, you have no shame."
"Shame is for those too weak to last."
"You are something else. Truly, you are."
"And I can be yours...for a time...if you are willing to give something worth my time."
"You promised me, dear."
"My company, yes. The rest of this was a gift."
"My darling, my wonder..."
The red panda obviously had more compliments to share, but he was still recovering his breath. Fyacin chuckled, slowly lifting herself to her feet and hiding the little tremor that went down the back of her thighs. Despite the fact that she was in better shape than the red panda, it didn't mean that she hadn't felt what they had gone through.
Rolling her head around her shoulders, she planned her next move. The general would be eager for more, doubtlessly enough. She knew his type, and knew that once he knew something of what he could have, he would want to expand and see what else might be taken. She had made it clear that this had been a gift, knocking the ball back to his court.
Will you try and seduce more, general? she wondered, rolling her tail around, the tufted tip tickling the backs of her legs. Or will you find yourself more inclined to give, to offer yourself at my feet?
Whatever happened, she knew that she could handle him. There was no more mystery, no more shame. Perhaps other shame would come in the future, but for now, this felt right. This version of her, this powerful creature that she had become, felt right.
"I must take my leave, then, general."
"So soon?"
"You are recovering, oh honored guest," she said, looking over her shoulder. "Be not roused on my account. I will come to you again, perhaps tonight, but at the very least, by tomorrow."
"I will count the very hours."
"Dear Masaru, count the minutes, or better, the seconds; it will occupy your mind until your body is once more capable."
"It is willing, I assure you."
"Mmmm..." She smiled, flicking her tail. Her ass did nothing to excite him, not in this state, not that she expected it to. She chuckled, shaking her head. "Perhaps later."
He pouted, and he was adorable as he did. But she had other things that needed doing, and she would not get them done here.
Giving him a wave of her hand, she departed, making her way down from the tower and back to the proper halls of the palace. The various servants turned to stare as she walked by, uncovered and bare. Even Alys would not wander the halls so, nor Kisari; she had become something to stare at, something to marvel at. Even with the cage of Restriction around her shaft and sac, she was something to be reckoned with.
One of the guards, perhaps the very Mastiff that had awakened her feelings of submission all that time ago, turned to stare at her as she passed by. The feline smiled, turning to face him, stroking her fingers along his jaw.
"Do you dare to stare at the Emperor's property, Dog?" she asked, challenging but smiling.
"I - you flaunt yourself."
"I do, for I am worth flaunting. Are you?"
"I - you - I am confused, ma'am," he said, obviously falling back to try and avoid causing offense.
"Oh, I have succeeded already?"
"Ma'am?"
"Call it the inclinations of a cat with a toy..."
She winked, turning away, but used her tail to stroke along the Mastiff's groin. By the time that the tuft had left him, she could feel the heat of his bulge. The various guards stared, and it took all of her willpower not to laugh as she walked away. She felt as if she was possessed of a great manic glee, to tease and taunt and flaunt all that she had become. The world was hers, if she wished it.
The Emperor, as well, she supposed. She could...
That finally was the ice to her fire. She slowly eased the swaying of her hips, coming to a stop in one of the greater halls. She stopped to look around the room, staring at the great works of art that surrounded her.
It would be the Hall of Spirited Memory, she thought, looking at the painted tapestries that wove their way around her. Unlike the static halls of history, the Hall of Spirited Memory was done in a more impressionistic pattern. The painted history lacked detail, lost the definition of crisp lines intentionally. Things were left blank, with open spaces and negative spaces used to allow the mind to fill them in.
She turned, looking at the greatest of the pictures, one that dominated a full third of the hall and loomed over the others, cast from the top of the walls and across the ceilings. The great, many-tailed fox from which were descended the Emperors called out to those that looked upon it, its outstretched tails a feature that was impossible to ignore.
Among the tails were the various Emperors of the past, painted in where there was space, filling it one after another. Fyacin could just make out the previous Emperor, tucked in near the fifth tail where it curved around the world that they lived upon. Where the current Emperor would land, she did not know, but it was a reminder nonetheless of the Emperor's status, and just what she had gained with her role as advisor and concubine.
I am his...and he will never be mine. Not in the same way.
Fyacin lowered her head, bowing to the great fox on the ceiling. It felt sobering to be reminded of the true heights of the Emperor compared to even his advisors, and it worked to drag her down from the almost drugged mania that she had been possessed of. It was shocking, cool, cold, even, but it was better than living in that mindspace.
She slowly gathered herself together, thinking of the situation at hand. She had secured the aid of General Masaru, or nearly had. Provided that worked out, she would be able to channel that into the protection of the southern border of the kingdom. Once that was done, the bribed eastern and western nations would be able to turn on the approaching northern army. Their machines and mechanics would fall shortly after that, considering that they came through the world of the living rather than the world of the dead.
Alys and Kisari will be helpful there, she thought. They can call on the spirits...
She had never been that great a believer in their power, but with what she had felt, what she had become in that short time before the great painting had called her back, she believed that such things existed. Glancing at the painting again, she felt like she could become lost, a speck in the spaces between the tails. She felt tiny, insignificant, no matter how high she had risen on the stars of her talents.
Yet, there was something heartening, there. Staring at the empty spaces, she was aware of the space that existed even around the painted Emperors among the tails. Even where they were clustered together, families that had ruled all at once, there were spaces among the stars and the voids.
And where there is space, one can claim their place, Fyacin thought, smiling. I need not take an Emperor. I need merely be where he cannot.
And that was a good feeling. A very good feeling.
Bowing once more, she left the Hall of Spirited Memory, making her way to the royal court. The Emperor would hold forth soon, and she wished to be there, situated in her proper place once more.
She had forgotten how very uncomfortable her proper place was, and she soon wished that she could be anywhere but there. The fact that she had chosen to sit on such an uncomfortable seat without the benefit of a proper cushion didn't make it better, either, even if Alys and Kisari made similar faces of misery whenever the court was not watching.
Still, it was better to be present again. In her seat upon the uplifted trio of pillars, she was able to whisper her thoughts to the Emperor as he heard the petitions of the people. Many this day had something to do with the approaching army of the north, but very few involved the southern force. She wondered, briefly, if something had been passed out of the palace by Masaru without her knowing.
She discounted that; it was very unlikely that the red panda had the energy to communicate with the outside world, and he had been convincing enough to make it clear that either he was willing to join their side, or he was utterly convinced of his talent to persuade her to leave it. Either way, she was not worried overmuch.
No, she was more concerned with the machines and armored soldiers that had likely already despoiled a number of areas on the north side of their kingdom. It was something that they would eventually recover from, but it was damage nonetheless.
She narrowed her eyes as she heard one person complain. There was something...off to his speech. There were words that did not fit, phrases that came out of sync. She shared a look with Kisari, the water dragon nodding in agreement with her.
This one isn't one of our people.
The water dragon leaned down, whispering in the vulpine Emperor's ears. As she did, Fyacin watched the speaker. A snow-fox, one that had been raised on the sides of the mountain, yet, one that didn't know how to speak their language properly. There were just enough breaks in the cadence to make it feel -
Fyacin looked further down, and saw that the snow-fox's arms were rigid, barely moving, even as the shoulders did rise and fall. A closer look confirmed that there was something there, something under the sleeves.
Even as Kisari finished what she was whispering, Fyacin had leaned down with her own advice.
"Seize him," she whispered. "He is armed and likely dangerous. There is something under his clothes."
To his credit, the Emperor did not stiffen or show signs of surprise. There was no sign that the Emperor had even heard her, but that was normal. The Emperor was meant to show himself as a sign of ultimate power and wisdom to the people, not someone that was prone to shock and awe.
So, it was not surprising when the fox reached out and gestured to the guards. The Mastiffs stepped forward, their hands outstretched -
And the snow-fox almost exploded.
For a moment, Fyacin thought that the petitioner had gone up in flames. There were sufficient blazes that burned where the snow-fox had stood to make it feel like he had, but no. There he was, standing in the center of the fires, holding the guards at bay. On his arms were glowing metal rods, each burning with heat, each tipped with the very flames that burned the floor.
Kisari had already called out, reaching for the spirits, but Fyacin preferred a more direct approach. She vaulted over the throne, standing between her Emperor and the snow-fox, and as she moved, she held her arm up. The Emperor dropped a dagger into her palm. It was more than sufficient for her purposes.
"Alive or dead, oh great Emperor?" she asked.
"Alive, if you can."
"For questioning?"
"And examination."
"Of course."
She darted forward without further words. The fires leaped for her, both the old and the new. Leaping in burning silhouettes, the fire chased her like a pack of wild hounds, each snapping and crashing around her tail, trying to seize her before she could get close. She ignored them, her eyes focused entirely on their caster. His arms moved, twisting, twitching, trying to guide the flames closer, but it was too late; she was on him.
Vaulting over his back, she waited for him to break the flames, and he did. They fell apart just short of incinerating him. Before he could turn, she swept her blade up around his neck, keeping just enough distance to avoid the hot metal on his back.
"One cut, and your arm is dead. Two, and so is your spine," Fyacin said, the lioness smiling slightly. "Three, and all of you is."
"..."
"You have until the count of three. If you can't speak, just drop your weapons. I'm aware I'm too breathtaking to answer easily."
She pressed the blade a bit closer.
"So...One...two...."
The End
