John and Sara were soul mates, everyone whom knew them thought so. From the first time they’d met in kindergarten, they’d become inseparable. Throughout their childhood and into their teenage years they’d never strayed far from one another. John grew from a shy little blond haired blue eyed boy into a tall scrawny teenager, but never lost that kind warmhearted smile that always made Sara’s heart flutter. Likewise Sara was always the life of the party, the bubbly easy to talk to brunette with baby blue eyes that were only ever focused on John. From playing in the sandpits to hide and seek in their back yards, to sharing their first kiss as they shifted into their teenage years and realized they were more than just friends.
They spent countless hours together, staying up late and talking of a future together, talking of living the American dream. Both John and Sara wanted the white picket fence with two and a half kids, though both of them agreed that this actually meant a dog first and then two kids later on as they both shared an innate fondness for all things living.
John planned on proposing to Sara their final year of high school, deciding on a starlit picnic out by the lake in the local national park. It was a full moon that night and the skies were set to be clear, it all seemed to be going so well at first. They’d shared a delightful meal under the stars, the moons reflection shining off the rippling surface of the nearby lake making Sara’s eyes sparkle so much it had almost made it difficult for John to speak and say what he needed to say. But after Sara shushed him with a kiss, he knew it was the right decision, he’d pulled the ring from his pocket and proposed on the spot. Even before he’d finished asking the question, Sara had said yes. With their desire growing for one another, John and Sara consummated their love under the stars and moon above. As the night grew colder later on, Sara suggested they go back to John’s truck parked back down by the start of the trail. John readily agreed and quickly began packing before grabbing Sara’s hand and then starting on their journey, leading her back through the forest along the trail.
They weren’t alone however, a pair of glowing yellow eyes watched from the tree line as the two youngsters laughed and walked back down the path, a low growl starting to usher forth. At first the unsuspecting prey did not hear the sound, but by the time they did, it was too late. The beast began to charge, crashing through the underbrush with frightening speed, branches snapping and cracking as its claws dug into the ground kicking up dirt. It could hear the panicked cries and screams of the teenagers, the delectable scent of fresh meat mere feet away; its jaws already beginning to slaver in anticipation. Heart thundering in its chest as the thrill of the hunt kicked in when its prey burst into a panicked sprint.
John dropped the basket of goods from their wondrous evening with a loud clatter and shattering of glass, he gripped Sara’s hand and ran as fast and hard as he could. Not far up ahead he could see his truck, waiting at the exit of the trail like a lighthouse beacon, beckoning them on to safety as the beast growled and chased after them, having slipped off the pebble strewn path around a bend and giving them a much needed gap. He didn’t dare look back in case he tripped, the few glances he had seen of the thing, it looked like a massive wolf. Wolves were known to be around the area, but nothing so large and never so close to humans. John thought whatever was chasing them must be infected with rabies or worse due to how aggressive it was behaving. He gripped Sara’s hand tightly, his only thought to protect her and get her to safety. Fumbling in his coat pocket with his other hand to get his keys out and ready, in the split second he wasn’t focused on Sara, his world changed.
Her hand slipped from his with a pained yell, the growling and crashing changing direction suddenly and heading away from John. He stopped immediately and turned around to face the direction they’d just come from, but the path was empty. John had called and yelled out for Sara, but there was no answer. The only reply he got was a distant howl, without thinking John sprinted off in its direction yelling for Sara. He ran all through the night, branches whipping and ripping at his face and body until it could go no further. Finding nothing more than a few torn scraps of clothing he recognized as belonging to Sara, fear taking root in his chest as more and more scraps were stained with crimson.

Days turned into weeks, turned into months, but still they never found any further signs of Sara. Soon months turned into years and John never saw another sign of Sara, never giving up on his search for her despite the constant rumors of her being the victim of foul play at his hands. His heart yearned for her so much that throughout the years he’d often hear her voice calling to him from the woods, or so he thought. Every time he sprinted off to where he thought he’d heard her, there was nothing but empty space. John now well into his twenties had taken a position as a park ranger. He’d opted to stay close to the area Sara had been taken, always investigating any missing person’s case with an unmatched fervor, managing to find and rescue no less than half a dozen park goers that had gotten lost in the woods. But he never did find Sara nor any further trace of her, the closest he ever got were reports of a similar creature stalking the woods every other year.
John had tracked these reports and marked them on the large map in his cabin, noting dates and times until he began to see a routine. Whatever it was seemed to have a migratory path, being careful to stay away from areas where people often were, somehow it seemed to know which places to avoid during high traffic times. With all this information at hand, John set his plan in motion, he was going to capture or at least kill whatever the creature was and finally get some closure for Sara.
The following days and weeks John carefully set up pitfalls and net traps, using everything he’d learned over the last few years. There wouldn’t be more than a few feet of the creature’s usual path that hadn’t been trapped, discrete trail cameras set up to alert him to any movement along the path when the time came. John sat back and waited impatiently, the creature seemed to almost know what he was up to as there was no sign of it well past the time it usually was sighted in the area.
But then it happened late one dark and stormy evening, a proximity alert had triggered from one of the cameras partway along the trail. John brought up the trail camera on his phone, his heart skipping a beat as he saw a large dark form caught and suspended in one of his nets. At first thinking it was just a normal wolf, until its head turned and he saw the glowing eyes on the pale green image. John grabbed his shotgun and tranquilizer gun, scrambling into his truck and gunning the engine as he sped along the dirt road now turning into mud under the pouring rain. Driving as fast as he dared by slower than he’d wanted, his truck nearly sliding off the tracks more than a couple times, John eventually made it as far as he could in his truck. Grabbing his guns he hopped out and slammed the door shut before legging it up the steep slope towards where he knew the trap was, being careful not to trigger any others on his way.
The closer he got, the louder the growling became, those same familiar sounds he remembered from all those years ago. Anger grew in his chest again, John climbing over the rise to see the large black form of the creature struggling in the thick netting, its attention being drawn by the sound of John cocking his pump-action shotgun. “John?” he thought he heard it say in Sara’s voice, stopping mid-stride as the creature stared back at him with glowing eyes. For a brief moment John entertained the idea this animal could talk, if it could perhaps it could answer his questions. As quickly as he thought that, he shook his head and laughed at himself, though he did shoulder his shotgun and instead opted for his tranquilizer gun. Taking aim at the creature he shot once and waited, with enough sedative to knock out an elephant in the dart, the creature remained conscious, just more sluggish than before. John fired again, watching and waiting as the creatures struggling began to fade and eventually cease, the only sound coming from it was a deep and steady breathing confirming it was alive but asleep.
With as much care as he thought the beast deserved, John cut the rope to the net before starting to haul it back through the forest and dumping it in the back of his truck. Casting a wary eye back on the creature as he made his way back to his cabin and the carefully prepared room he’d set up for this eventuality, John finally got the beast inside and into the light to chain it up. Its wrists and ankles bound in shackles, looped through four points along the floor and beam to hold its limbs spread with a heavy collar about its neck to keep its head raised.
To his surprise the creature was humanoid, long elegant and dexterous fingers ending with dull canine like claws. It had a canine face but with a shorter muzzle, a distinct definition of hair on the head running down the back of its neck like a mane of sorts. Strong arms, legs and thighs leading down to digitigrade legs with the feet looking more akin to what one would expect to find on a canine. Its entire form covered in a soft black pelt, along with a lush thick wolf like tail, its features a perfect blend between human and canine. He’d read stories and seen movies of such things, but before him was an honest to God werewolf. A female werewolf at that, John noted as he couldn’t help but stare at the beast’s modest bare bust with dark little nipples barely poking through its fur. Curiosity getting the better of him, John reached out and touched one of its breasts, the creature stirring with a faint growl. His touch slowly trailed down over its toned belly, feeling the muscles beneath the fur, further down and finding a patch of slightly thicker and more coarse fur just above a surprisingly human sex. Kneeling down before the creature he had chained almost spread eagled while standing, he could clearly see what looked to be human anatomy, if not for the soft thinner fur surrounding its labia. John felt an odd tightening of his trousers as his fingers lightly brushed along the creatures nethers, slipping a finger between the folds of its slit and feeling a snug warmth beyond.
“John…” the beast said barely above a whisper, making him jerk his hand back as he stood bolt upright. Coming eye to eye with the beast, he now saw the eyes were not glowing under the overhead light. Instead staring back at him was a pair of baby blue eyes he recognized and clearly they recognized him too. His gaze darted back and forth between its eyes, confusion written all over his face as he searched its eyes for answers. “John…it’s me….” It finally said after a long moment, its canine like ears lying flat against its hair.
“S…Sara?” John asked cautiously, daring not to hope, also fearing the truth. The creature slowly nodded in response, making John take a step back before turning and running from the room, slamming the door shut behind him. He must be dreaming it, that thing couldn’t be real, couldn’t be talking to him. With shaking hands he poured himself a double scotch and then another, staring out into the darkness of night beyond the kitchen window as he tried to ignore the thing calling his name from the room. Finally after his third drink he had downed enough Dutch courage to head back into the room to face…it.
“I said yes, I meant it then…and I…still would….but look at me, John…” It spoke to him as soon as he entered the room, staring straight at him. He could see its lips moving, there was no doubt that Sara’s voice was coming from the creature. “It took me on a full moon, when its curse was at its strongest. I turned instantly, turned into this….and I couldn’t change back! I couldn’t change back and get back to you! So I ran…and I kept on running…” The Sara thing started rambling, looking down in shame as it babbled on, tears starting to run down its cheeks. “But I couldn’t stay away from you, I called out for you so many times over the years, I wanted to be near you, but…how could I expect you to love me like…this?” she continued, snarling down at her own form before a silent John.
John listened to her speak, so many pieces of a puzzle he wasn’t aware he was a part of began falling into place. His anger starting to ebb the longer it…no, the longer Sara spoke. John stepped closer to her, a hand raising to gently cup under her chin and lift her gaze to meet his. At first she was fearful for what he would say, but the longer their eyes remained locked, the more a peaceful calm she’d not felt in years began to fill her. In a heartbeat their lips met in an awkward kiss, but one both of them had been longing for for ages. When John eventually pulled back from the kiss he was smiling with tears in his own eyes.
“I finally found you” John said as he leaned his forehead against Sara’s, his hands cupping her jaw while his thumbs brushed over her now soft furred cheeks. Sara laughed and sniffled, nuzzling back against him as she whined softly. John fished his keys from his pocket and began to undo the shackles about her feet, neck and then wrists before realizing what he’d done. Sara stood for a long moment staring at him, without warning she launched herself at John whom yelled in surprise when she pinned him to the floor. Instead of feeling sharp teeth like he expected, Sara began licking and nuzzling at him like an excited domestic dog. Straddling his lap with her tail wagging between his thighs and battering against his knees as she slobbered all over his face. “Down girl, down!” John laughed as he tried to push Sara back. The panting wolfess smiled down at him, barely able to contain her excitement. “You need a bath…” John noted, suddenly the scent of damp dog began to make itself known.
“I’ve not had a shower in years! The closest was trying to wash under a waterfall or in the rain” Sara recounted as John led her through his cabin to the bathroom where the large overhead shower was situated. Starting up the hot water before going to grab one…then two large towels for Sara as she climbed in under the hot water with a satisfied groan. “Hey…uh…John?” she called out from the bathroom.
“Yeah, what’s up?” John replied as he grabbed a third towel, just in case. Sara did have quite a thick coat on her now after all.
“I’m not sure how to ask this, but…do you think you could help scrub my back? I can’t quite reach…” Sara half mumbled the last few words in embarrassment, suddenly remembering John’s rather intimate curiosity over her new form earlier.
“Oh, uh…sure…give me a sec” John replied, grabbing a fourth towel for himself before returning to the bathroom. Without really thinking about it, John stripped down and joined Sara under the hot water, only realizing what he’d done when her soaked tail brushed against his bare member. Trying to ignore the touch, John grabbed the shampoo Sara was holding up over her shoulder for him and poured a line across from her left shoulder to her right. His fingers started to rub and work the shampoo into her fur, working lower and lower down her back and shoulders. John laughed as it seemed her tail had a mind of its own, starting to wag as he worked the spots just below her shoulder blades and just above the root of her tail. Though he’d yelp in surprise as he massaged the base of Sara’s tail when she suddenly gave a different kind of soft growl, pressing back against him with her tail raised. John finding his curiously stiff member suddenly wedged between her soft furred cheeks. His own bare behind pressed against the shower wall meant he had nowhere to escape to, with a sort of morbid curiosity he continued to rub and scratch the join of where her tail met her body and Sara responded in kind. A plainly eager groaning growl escaping her as she leaned against the far wall while pressing back with an eager grind of her behind against Johns trapped length.
“J…John…” Sara whimpered, suddenly snapping John from his trance. His hands jerking back, stopping their rubbing and scratching at her tail base. Sara lowered her tail and stood upright again, her ears lowering and lying flat again as she fought back tears of disappointment. She’d felt Johns eagerness against her, but he’d pulled away so suddenly, as if the thought of touching her revolted him. As soon as he’d finished rinsing her back and tail, John slipped out of the shower and quickly got dressed again, leaving Sara to finish washing and drying off. By the time she’d finished showering and made her way through to the kitchen where she followed the delectable scent of meat cooking, her stomach rumbled with a hunger she’d not been aware of.
“Hope you’re hungry, got a nice big juicy steak here with your name on it!” John said cheerfully over his shoulder as he heard Sara’s claws clicking on the floor when she entered behind him. Plating up their meals like he used to back when they were younger, John turned around and caught himself short. Staring wide eyed at the sight before him, uttering a soft “Christ…” when he got a clear look at Sara. What he’d thought was just a plain black coat was actually an intricate pattern of dark grey and black, almost tribal like designs ran the length of her arms and legs. A crescent moon beneath her navel and another at the center of her forehead. Everywhere he looked he found another interesting pattern in her fur, but more than that, she was still starkly naked. Again John felt his trousers starting to tent, panic setting in as he quickly darted to the table and set their meals down, pulling out a chair for Sara to sit in. The wolfess peered at him curiously, her head tilting in the stereotypical canine fashion as she watched John walk awkwardly to his seat across from her.
“Everything alright?” She eventually asked with concern.
“Oh, uh yeah. It’s just that…you’re, well…you’re naked” John replied, resting his head in his hands and shaking it side to side.
“Oh, right…I’ve been like this for so long I guess I never really thought…well…sorry” Sara replied with a soft whine, her ears lying flat again.
“No…no, it’s not you. It’s me…I just, look…I feel really awkward. I mean, it’s you, but it’s not you. But even like this…God you’re so beautiful. I can’t help it…” John spoke with a soft sigh, slowly raising his gaze to meet Sara’s, almost seeming ashamed of himself.
Sara resisted the urge to grin, picking up her knife and fork as she cut a small bite of her steak before popping it into her mouth and slowly chewing on it. “Why John, it almost sounds like you’re getting turned on by an animal” she accused him, staring at the blushing human with a raised brow.
“I…well…that’s because…you…urgh, fuck!” John couldn’t find the words, she was right.
Sara was suddenly thankful for her dark fur, for the moment it hid her blush as she and John sat in silence slowly eating their dinner. She couldn’t help but tease him, sitting almost uncomfortably upright in her seat just to project her modest bust out a little more. It was all she could do not to laugh every time his gaze wandered lower to her chest, his ears burning a dark scarlet when he looked up to see her grinning back at him and having been caught staring. Eventually she would take pity on him and started with a bit of small talk, catching up on all the latest news and gossip she’d missed the last few years. In no time at all it felt like no time at all had passed and what had happened to her was nothing but a bad dream.
Somewhere between dinner and washing dishes, they’d fallen back into their old groove. Sara recounting some harrowing tales of her surviving in the wild as they cleaned up after dinner before migrating to Johns couch and sitting in front of the fire he’d started. They’d started perched on opposite sides of the couch, but the longer they talked and the more comfortable they got, eventually they drifted closer together as they always had. John laying back on a pile of pillows with Sara tucked up against his chest, his fingers stroking through her hair…and now fur. Time seemed to stand still as they embraced again after so long apart, their heartbeats still in rhythm with one another. Sleep eventually finding them as they fell into a comfortable slumber in each other’s arms.
John awoke with a yawn, wincing at his stiff neck, still smiling at the dream he’d had of Sara. Only it wasn’t Sara, she was something else now. It was then he became aware of a soft weight on his chest, seeing pointed ears and a muzzle resting on him, he for a moment wondered whose dog had snuck in to cuddle with him on his sofa. The dog raised its muzzle and opened its jaws wide to yawn, its long pink tongue curling in its open maw and showing off its sharp white fangs before it licked its lips, slowly turning to look up at him with baby blue eyes and a smile. A smile? Johns mind balked as reality came crashing back in, it wasn’t a dream. Sara was here and she was this thing resting on him. At first fear tugged at his mind, but the longer he stared down into her soft deep sapphire pools it faded away. All those old emotions and feelings he’d felt so long ago came rushing back, along with a growing need. His hand found her chin again, bringing her lips closer to kiss Sara again, that’d take some getting used to, but he would have plenty of time for that as he wasn’t going to let her go again.
Sara gave a soft whimper against John’s lips, both shocked and excited by the sudden desire she felt from him. Shifting about on the couch to lay atop him, her tail starting to wag when she felt his hand on her behind with a firm squeeze, her bare breasts pressed to his bare chest. Her soft fur feeling silky against his skin, her tongue long and dexterous easily outmatching his in the kissing department. Both panting for breath when they broke the kiss, staring deeply into one another’s eyes before diving right back in for more. John’s grip on her behind starting to pull and grind her down against himself, Sara only too happy to reciprocate as she shifted her thighs to better straddle Johns lap.
Sitting up a little more over John, her hips began to stir and grind against his growing stiffness beneath herself. His gaze wandering along her form, drinking her in anew as his hands began to explore. Soft gentle touches tracing every dip and curve, from her shoulders down along the path of her spine, a hand gripping about the base of her tail and stroking back along the fluffy length. John grinned at the way Sara closed her eyes and growled a lusty little growl in response, the way her hips ground against his a clear indication she liked it. Almost reverently his hands found her breasts, palms lightly cupping and hefting the curves as his thumbs circled and brushed over her nipples. The same small perky mounds he’d fondled the night he proposed, the same but different now. Her once pale flesh with light pink nipples now replaced by soft dark fur and black flesh, but with the same dimensions and comforting weight he’d dreamed of so many times since that fateful night.
So distracted by his exploration of her chest was John, he didn’t feel her hips shift or his boxers being pushed down until his stiffness was swallowed by an almost scalding tight heat. Sara groaning loud as she impaled herself on John’s erection, her head rolling back, muzzle pointed to the sky with a pleasured growl. Her claws scratching against his upper arms as she clutched at him tightly for support. Slowly she started to rise and fall in his lap, her hips rolling against the length within herself as she clenched down around him, that same familiar fullness he’d given her the night she’d said yes in more ways than one. Her paws stroked down along his arms, along his forearms to finds his hands and lace her fingers within his. Their eyes meeting, both burning with passion and desire for one another, regardless of whatever form they might be in. Sara’s hips rose and fell, faster then slower, needing to reach her peak, but not wanting this to end too soon. Both her and John staring to tire and pant heatedly, his climax hitting home first as he grunted and screwed his eyes shut just before she felt him twitch within her, filling her with his seed. Her own release was not far behind, her muzzle again raising to the sky as she let loose a long loud howl before collapsing with a pant atop John.
“So…what does this make us?” John eventually asked after a moment, arms wrapped around Sara as he held her close, idly drawing patterns with his nails in the soft fur of her back.
“Dog fucker…” Sara teased with a laugh, before leaning up to kiss him softly.
“Bitch…” John replied with a smirk right back at her.
“I’m your bitch now, mister. Best get to work on getting me a collar and leash” she persisted with the ruse, still grinning at John.
“Collar and leash, huh? Kinky…” John replied with a growing grin, knowing and gladly accepting that his future was forever changed in the best and most unimaginable way ever.
